I'm glad you got dressed up for us today. Thank
you very much.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
You know what today is, don't you?
Speaker 6 (01:07):
Tom?
Speaker 5 (01:08):
What is today?
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Mark?
Speaker 7 (01:10):
It is free Tina Peters day. Yea, it is with
us people in society.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Actually, you know here's the deal that truly that punishment
didn't fit the crime. I mean it was. It was
a political thing, and and you know, I got to
applaud Paulis for doing this. I'm not quite sure why
he did it, but hey, you got to applaud him
for doing it. In my opinion, I mean, truly, this
was an anger. This was an anger sentence, a sentence
(01:39):
of anger, like how dare you? How dare you question
the election? And again, I don't want to get into
election integrity or any of that, but that's really what
it was. And yeah, she is free and she should be,
you know, an elderly woman who truly is not a
danger to society. And again, ah God Almighty Mark, It's
(02:02):
just everything everything is so political, even the two fit
the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. Okay, Now, a bunch
of entertainers have pulled out because they said that Trump
was making it a maga event or maga however you
want to say it, and they don't want to be
part of it. And he's threatening to cancel the whole thing,
(02:24):
our entire I swear, everything.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Is just so political, everything.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Our entertainment, our our celebrations. It's it's and I'm not
blaming any particular person for that. I'm just saying that's
the way it is. I mean, I have seen posts
on Facebook and next door that start out as just
wonderful posts, just like, hey, you know what a beautiful day,
(02:53):
blah blah blah, and then and then somebody in Jex
a political statement, and and and it's it's just amazing
to me that we live in such I don't know.
It's not diversity. Diversity is usually a word we use
for welcomeness of differences. There is no welcomeness. I mean,
(03:15):
it's anyway. It just bothers me. It just bothers me.
And speaking of such, I don't know. Today I sound
like a grumpy old man, you know, with the bony finger.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
But I wonder, and I'm asking, And when I ask questions,
it's truly to understand. I am not one who makes
an edict and expects everyone to understand.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
I try to give my reasoning.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
But what I'd like to know, I really would like
to know social media the purpose for some people. Now
social media, for example, an attorney who gives legal advice.
I've seen wonderful posts by attorneys who give great advice.
I love that kind of social media. And then you
(04:05):
have social media by entertainers saying, hey, here's where I'm
going to be, you know, and we love to hear
from our entertainers, or here's a clip from the movie
I just made whatever. But then there are those social
medias that are just I don't understand, just a picture
of yourself and saying, you know, contemplating spring, or like
(04:30):
just like, I don't know, I wonder what it is.
I guess it used to be we had all of
these thoughts to ourselves and now we feel like people care,
and especially like what you're eating and what you're drinking
and what you're doing and you know, relaxing on the
beach toes up on my boat on my cruise. It
(04:55):
used to be we got these a in a Christmas
card maybe once a year. How are people people doing?
We never knew how people were doing. But I'm wondering,
I'm wondering is it true? Purpose? Is it purpose? Purposeful?
Like what I don't know what I'm saying, Mark, what
do you think? Truly? You are one that you don't
(05:17):
really post a lot. I mean you post very rarely
when you do something, Yeah, but when you do, it's
kind of fun stuff that's so unusual.
Speaker 7 (05:25):
I can't think of the last time I posted anything honestly, got.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
I can, well, maybe it sues.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
But what like when you guys go somewhere and you
do something really unusual, you know, it's really cool because
it gets a lot of hits, and it's cool because
it's unusual.
Speaker 7 (05:39):
It's not like every day ten ten thousand people looking
at a turtle swim next to our canoe one time.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
That's exactly what I'm talking about. And then you posted
a problem with a car one time that got hundreds
of thousands of hours.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
I'll tell you what we could get. We got millions
on that, over ten million on that forward. But I
think if I went out into the wild and used
a camera to film Dimitri attempting to pick up girls,
it would go crazy.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
So really and truly, I tried to I tried to
ask this before and I and by the way, let
me let me before I go on. We want to
solve your problems, we want to answer your questions, we
want to take your complaints. Truly, give us a call
at three oh three Martino, three oh three, six, two seven,
eight four sixty six, and you can call that twenty
four to seven or you can call three oh three
(06:30):
seven one three talk. That's the iHeart number three oh
three seven one three eight two five five. There's almost
no problem we won't tackle and try to help you with.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
And we've had a lot of.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Success recently, so so I don't want to lose.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Track of that.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
But but we also talk about, as I say, those
everyday aches and pains, the things that make you tick,
the things that tick you off.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
And I'd like to know do people true?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
I guess they do love social media because the heart
they love things or no, they love things, and so
if they love them, they must be watching them and
liking them. Now I think one of the areas where
social media can do really great things. I mean, okay,
like the recent interview or interviews. Several people have done
(07:18):
interviews with Mark whatever the hell his name is, you know, anyway,
he I wanted to say Carl Mars.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
It's not Karl Marsh, but.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
He was interviewed by Kyle Clark, and oh my god,
didn't get a lot of response. Why because and Kyle
played it I think just right, and that was he
didn't try to be confrontational. He wasn't confrontational at all.
Victor Marx was sitting there, and he showed him the
utmost respect. He took stuff directly from his website, from
(07:54):
Victor's website and asked him about it. And Victor is
a gift for talk radio, by the way, and of
course for TV. As you saw, he's a gift that
keeps on giving. All you have to do is use
his own words about casting out demons, or about rescuing people,
or about killing a guy when.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
He was four or five years old, or whatever the
hell he was.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
I mean, when you confront a guy with his own words,
then you know, it's like, you don't have to do
anything outrageous. Even if you did have a dog in
the fight and you wanted to show that the guy
was a nut, you don't have to do anything.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
You don't have to go out of your way.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
And that's where social media comes in, where you can
take clips from that interview. And I believe mister Clark
did that and then put it on his Instagram, and
it was brilliant because what it does is it shows
you the interview and then it teases a head to
the You know, you can see the complete interview here
(09:00):
or on my YouTube channel, and that's what. That's what
I believe. Who am I to say what social media
is for? I mean, I'm not at all, but that's
what I think is best use of social media, where
you spread news and views or I love to give
consumer tips, you know, like hey, when you're buying a car,
make sure you do this, or don't put money down
(09:22):
with a contractor things like that. But then again you
have those who simply use it as a dumping ground
for everything they're doing. Everything they're doing every minute of
the day. I would like to know what people think.
I would like to know how they're using social media.
We've said this before. I'd love to do a show,
(09:45):
and I think someone should have a radio station and
I'm serious, I've said this before, or a radio show
dedicated to social media where people get a slice of
time to high light their social media on the radio.
Social radio I would call it where you get on
(10:07):
the radio and say, bloh, where you're reading from your
social media and see how that plays. See if your
social media can translate into radio and maybe get conversations
going for a certain time slice and then it goes
on to the next person. And then I envisioned this
radio station where people register for the next day or for.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
You know whatever.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
They make an appointment on the calendar and then the
mic is turned over to them for that period of time,
and it's their website.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
I'm not with their website, it's their social post.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
It's their Instagram on radio, or their TikTok on radio,
or their whatever. I wonder how that would go if
people would have enough to say, let's say a fifteen
minute chunk of time to just do your social If
you want to try it again, if you have social
media that you think is compelling and you want to
(11:06):
share it on the airwaves and through our streaming, I
would love to try it. You tell us what it
is off the air, we'll look at it, we'll bring
you up, and then try to convert it to an
audio social post on radio. Let's call it social radio.
Of course, if you don't have enough nerve to do it.
(11:27):
I understand a lot of people the way they are.
The thing that empowers them is the anonymity, or at
least not anonymity so much, but the protection of doing
it ahead of time, editing it and getting it just
perfect then putting it up online. So if you're not
comfortable with live you're not going to want to do it,
(11:48):
but if you want it to take a shot at it.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
Give me a call.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
I would love to highlight your social media if it's
relevant and you want to try to do that. By
the way, any problems, questions and complaints, give us a call.

Can you hear me? Okay?
Speaker 5 (13:52):
Just fine?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Good?
Speaker 8 (13:54):
Hey, I got a question about medicaid.
Speaker 9 (13:57):
I'm paulling. So is a medicaid?
Speaker 8 (14:00):
Yeah, Medicare.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
I'm sorry medicare for gotcha?
Speaker 10 (14:03):
Yes, So I got a question. So I'm calling about friend.
Speaker 8 (14:07):
But I'm just gonna make it easy, and I'm gonna
because I know the whole situation. Let's just pretend it's me.
I'm gonna be sixty five in November. Do I need
to file for Medicaid or can I pass it up?
You know, I don't own nothing I own. I own
absolutely nothing. My Social Security income now is only seven
(14:29):
hundred a month, and I'm thinking they're gonna take a
cuplendred off a cup on it. All Right, I'm on
Medicaid and that pretty much covers all of my medic medication.
Everything I need. Medicaid does so do I need to
sign up for Medicare?
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (14:44):
I'm going to tell you the long and short of it, John.
If you do not take by the way Part A
and Part B, the only one you're paying for is
Part B in Medicare, okay, and they they take it
out of benefit and then it is part of your
coverage if you opt out of it, and they will
(15:08):
not take money out. But it basically is like this.
Once you opt out of it, you are penalized if
you ever try to get it again. Now, I'm going
to give you an exact scenario my brother, who is
now deceased. My brother had the same scenario. He had
(15:29):
VA paying for most of his bills and he opted
out of his Social Security Part B later on in life.
There were expenses that VA could not cover and his
Part B would have covered, and he wanted to get
a supplement, but he couldn't because he didn't have Part B.
You can only get a supplement later on if you
(15:51):
have Part A.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Or Part B.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
He couldn't get Medicare advantage because he opted out of
Part B, so he was totally mixed out of the system.
And in order to resign up, I could give you
the formula, but it doesn't matter. All I'm going to
say is this, if you don't sign up in the beginning,
it becomes cost prohibitive to do it in the future,
(16:15):
so you're one and done. If you decide to forego it,
you will never have the opportunity to get it again.
And it to me is a bad idea because it's
one of the best coverages you can get as an
older person, even without a supplement.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Or what you could.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Do is get your Part A and Part B through
Medicare advantage if you're not sick a lot and you
don't go to the doctors a lot. But John, you
know right now your benefit will be docked by the
amount of money toward Part B. That is the answer,
(16:58):
And I think it's foolish to not.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
Get it, That's all I can say.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
But there are people who are very shortsighted and they
decide not to get it. And it's just to me.
It's the best coverage you can get for the price.
So even though you think you're saving a little money
here and there, I'm going to give you an idea.
My Part B is costing me right now five hundred
(17:26):
and sixty dollars a month. It's taken out of my
benefit five hundred sixty dollars a month. And let me
tell you, it pays one hundred percent of all preventive care.
It pays after my deductible of two point fifty seven,
it pays eighty percent of all expenses. Now even without
(17:48):
a supplement, that's a good idea. I went ahead and
got a supplement, and then I have a Part D
and all of that. But are you really calling for
a friend ors or is it you John?
Speaker 8 (18:02):
No, I'm calling for somebody else. But the reason I'm thinking, like,
what does it not cover down the road? I mean
that you couldn't just go into medicaid, or you couldn't
go into hospital and get in took.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Care of it.
Speaker 8 (18:12):
If you get a bill, oh well, then how are
they going to collect it from you? If you don't
own anything.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Well, I mean, I don't know how to answer that.
I don't know how to answer that. I just think
that you will well, okay, if you needed surgery that
you couldn't get your surgery.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
It's that simple. You couldn't get it.
Speaker 8 (18:32):
Should you pay after? Don't you pay after the surgery,
not before?
Speaker 4 (18:36):
No, No, they come in and prequalify you. Absolutely not.
They come in with their little cart and they asked
you about your coverages and how do you plan to
pay for this?
Speaker 5 (18:45):
They absolutely do.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
And I guarantee you that if you went to a
hospital system, you'll get emergency care because they can't turn
you away. But they're not going to schedule a life
saving surgery for you. If you had a tumor like
I had my pancreas and I had to have it removed,
they wouldn't go ahead and do it free. They wouldn't.
It's not emergency and you would die of cancer.
Speaker 8 (19:09):
That makes a difference. I guess if you're saying they
will not, no matter what they're saying, sorry, you don't
have insurance, you don't have cash.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
That's it.
Speaker 9 (19:18):
Good luck.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
That happens all the time.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
People aren't covered, that's why they go to go fund
me and.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
Stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Look, man, we don't have socialized medicine. And you're saying,
what if I just keep all my money and suck
off the system.
Speaker 5 (19:33):
Well that might that might.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Work for a couple emergency procedures here or there, but
you're not going to get any preventive care. You're not
going to get any surgeries, you're not going to get
any planned care. It would be a reckless way to
go through life. Why would you want to go through
life that way? I mean, really and truly, what what
are you trying to accomplish?
Speaker 11 (19:56):
I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 8 (19:57):
I'm just I was thinking the seven hundred doll over
a month is the only income of now if they
take out another two hundred before they medicaid?
Speaker 4 (20:05):
Now, that's right, You're absolutely right, And you will never ever,
ever get better coverage in your life, not for the price.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
Not for the price.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Yeah, and look, I don't want to sound callous, Okay,
I happen to have other businesses and income, and I
know what you're saying, bro, I don't want to sound like,
you know, I hate when people sound like, oh, you know,
why don't you just do this? I know it's difficult,
and my heart goes out to you if you can't
(20:39):
afford that premium, But I say, you can't afford not
to have it. You really can't, because even if you're homeless.
I know this sounds crazy, even if you're homeless, it's
going to come.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
In handy and it's going to be now.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Now, I'll tell you one thing they might do, like
that that deduct They might weigh the deductible if you
have if you have Medicare, so you may say I
can't afford to be in the hospital.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
Well, Part A will pay for your.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
In hospital care, and they might the hospital might.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Just eat that deductible.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
That's where you get, you know, where you don't have
to have a supplement, but you have to at least
have Part A and part B. Part A does not
by the way, Part A does not cost you anything
that is in hospital care. The first sixty days is
covered one after you're deductible.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
So, okay, Tom, how do you sign up for Medicare?
When do you need to sign up? And where should
I go to sign up?
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Well, you know, I got to remember back what I
did was I called Integra Insurance. Now, the reason they
helped me is because I was getting a supplement. But
if you're not getting a supplement, you go directly to
the Medicare website. It's medicare dot gov and Medicare dot gov.
You sign up, you put your social security in there
(22:08):
and you get a username and password and then everything
is connected to your social Security number. So that's how
you do it. You'll be given a member I D.
And then you'll you'll have a card you can print out,
and then you'll have Medicare.
Speaker 9 (22:25):
When do I have to do that?
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Like?
Speaker 8 (22:27):
Is it I always heard it was like three months
before your birthday or.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (22:30):
They should be better at proactively advertising this. But you're right,
you have to do it in advance. And I don't
know if I don't know of the exact time limit.
I'm searching on the Medicare site. But you have to
do it when you know, right before you turn now,
if you, by the way, if you do it afterwards.
(22:51):
I do believe it's retroactive, but you can't opt out
of it. You can't wait too long. Okay, Yes, so
I if I were you, uh man, just for that
couple one hundred bucks you're gonna save, or in your
case if your low income, it might be one hundred
dollars a month. Some you know it's not that much
(23:12):

you have a comment on John's call about Medicare.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
What is it?
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Oh and by the way, I looked it up, and
you do have a seven month window only to apply.
Speaker 11 (24:59):
Mary.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Maybe that's when you were going to correct me on
you have to apply three months before sixty five or three.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
Months after sixty five.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
So anyway, so that's like a six month period. Go ahead, Mary, welcome.
Speaker 12 (25:15):
Well, what you just said is correct. But otherwise this fello,
if he's only making seven hundred dollars a month, he
needs to contact the ship Office, which is a state
health insurance program is under the auspices of Medicare, and
they will spend endless amounts of time explaining all the
(25:36):
rules and REGs and the sign up and such. Also,
if he's only making seven hundred a month, he's eligible
for what they call a Medicare savings plan, and his
part it was part A, is already paid for assuming
he's had ten years of work experience. Right, but he
will be totally paid for. He will get into a
(25:57):
low income pharmacy type situation and Medicaid will pick up.
It'll act almost as a supplement, so he will only
free Medicare.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (26:11):
Yeah, and now I was a volunteer Medicare counselor at
and I went for benefits and action. Neither are all
county and it's a resource center, the one if you
live in Denver, he could do that. There's also what
we call doctor COGG, which is Denver Regional Council of Governments,
and they will sign you up for Medicaid. They will
(26:33):
go through all your processes, they will get you signed
up instead of having him do it on himself.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
Oh that's wonderful. So really, you know, that's really good
to know. I hadn't revisited that for years and years.
But what you're saying is there is a supplement program
through the government that basically pays that premium for Part
B for you.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Yes, good, Yeah, that'll want to go up.
Speaker 12 (27:03):
And even if yes, it will pick it up. And
there's that they just know all the ins and outs
of that, so he will be taken care of.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
So the very first place you should call is what
then help ship.
Speaker 12 (27:19):
It's a state health insurance program and you can put
it up under the auspices of Medicare and you'll be
given an eight hundred number. When you call that eight
hundred number, it'll want to know what county you're in
because it's all based on demographics.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Thank you very much, Mary, I appreciate that. Thank you
so much. I love I love that we have smart callers.
Speaker 5 (27:44):
Doug, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Doug?
Speaker 5 (27:47):
How can we help you?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
I'll get this done?
Speaker 4 (27:55):
Yes, what's happening?
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Got an eight LR two land Rover. I took it
in for an aill change and they did the oil
and then they changed my differential floods and yeah, you
can only you can only use certain kind of differential
flood They put regular eighty ninety in it and it
(28:21):
destroyed my career. Differential.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
Now, hold on.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
A second, well, Hold on a second. Now, was there
a service that you had you were going to change
it out anyway? Or is this something they recommended?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
They recommended it, okay?
Speaker 4 (28:42):
And how many miles on it?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
It had seventy some thousand on it?
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Just oh my goodness, gracious, And so what are they
gonna do?
Speaker 5 (28:52):
What are they gonna do for you?
Speaker 2 (28:55):
They won't even get back in touch with me. I've
taken great care of this vehicle. It's paid off. And
like I said, I'm almost seventy five years old. I
can't afford the pictures.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
Are they are they acknowledging the wrong fluid causes? How
many thousands of miles later was it?
Speaker 2 (29:11):
It wasn't even thousands of miles later. It started making
a noise, probably about five hundred miles after I left
the shop.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
And what do they tell you?
Speaker 2 (29:23):
I talked to the manager. He said he'd get in
touch with the owner. But they've never got back in
touch with me.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
What's the name of the place. What's the name of
the place.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
It's Rocky Mountain Quick Loop in Colorado, Doug, how do
you know.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
That they put in the wrong differential fluid?
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Because I've got the receipt. They give and they put
the old differential fluid in it. This land rob it
only can there's three vehicles that use that because it's
all electronic. It's a Jaguar and Audi and the landlord.
So they put in regular deear oil that I put
(30:06):
in old vehicoes.
Speaker 7 (30:07):
Not let's get up to let let's get Jeff Wick
up and let's let's see what he thinks of this.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
Do I know anything about it? To d I mean,
do you know about the wrong fluid? I mean it
sounds it doesn't sound to me like it would blow
the entire pumpkin. I mean, it just seems weird to me.
Speaker 13 (30:25):
You got to remember what car we're dealing with. This
is a range Rover, which is bad to begin with. Yeah,
and it's going to be extra sensitive to non specified fluid.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, that's what I mean. Everybody I've talked to and
I found out it can only use a certain kind
of fluid. And I think they didn't want to get
it because it's about fifty six dollars and you have
to put in three cords.
Speaker 6 (30:52):
So yeah, but they were going to charge you for.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
I know that that's no excuse, So Doug, they won't
even call you back right now.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
No, I haven't. I spent over a week.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
And all right, we're gonna, we're gonna, We're gonna do
a couple of things.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
We're gonna do a couple of things. First, we're going
to get our expert on just to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
And to see if truly the thing is blown completely.
And then we're going to act. I want you to
call over there to Rocky Mountain Quick Glube and ask
them to address this situation.
Speaker 5 (31:26):
But I need to know this.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Who told you that your differential is out?
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I sent over a week. I ate all the CEOs
and start making a noise. And then who told you that?
Speaker 5 (31:40):
Who told you it was bad?
Speaker 2 (31:43):
A land rover mechanic. I took it in and they
checked it all out.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
Where'd you take it?
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Alexanders and love and he's a he's a certified land
rover mechanic.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Okay, thank you very much. Hold on a second, as
let's call those clowns over there and maybe uh uh,
and and let's get our expert on as well. We

Speaker 5 (32:59):
Welcome to the show. All right, we uh so what
did you What did you find? Dimitri?
Speaker 13 (33:05):
Well, I found that our color is correct. His two
thousand and eight land rover requires a very fluid. It's
called Haldeck's coupling fluid. And listen to this. It says
that mixing these up or using their own fluid will
result in all wheel drive failure or severe damage to
the rear axle components.
Speaker 5 (33:24):
Wow, he's absolutely right.
Speaker 13 (33:26):
If you don't know what you're doing, then you're definitely
going to destroy the system if you put in the
wrown fluid.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
Hey, Doug, when you took it to a quick glue place,
did you mention to them they needed special fluid or
did you assume they would know?
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I thought, they know they have a computer right by
the right out in the shop. And like I said,
they're the ones that said I should probably change it.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
He's right.
Speaker 13 (33:55):
I mean, if they offered to change his fluid, they
have the responsibility.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
Of course, of course they.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
Do futer or not.
Speaker 13 (34:02):
They got to do it the right way or they're
going to be responsible for the fixing the.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Damage acts, did you Uh? And by the way, it's
not like he has hundreds of thousands of miles on it.
I mean that's the thing. I mean, it was low
mileage for this year.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
What's it going to cost to fix this?
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Yeah, that's a good question. What will it cost to fix?
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Well? The guys that worked on it, I asked him
and Blake to do it, and I said, yeah, but
I could get into almost eight thousand dollars just for
the part.
Speaker 6 (34:30):
Wow, Yeah, I believe it.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Okay, now you do know you do know that you'll
have to pay some on that.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
I mean as far as.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
There is some depreciation, and you know it had seventy
thousand miles on it, So what we'd have to do
is calculate what the normal life of that is. But
they would definitely have to pay the majority of it,
I would think.
Speaker 13 (34:53):
Tom, unless they're already quoting a used part, in which
case they have to read. If they're replacing his youth
with another US part, they owe them one hundred percent
of that place.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Oh yeah, did they say? Did they say what for
eight grand? What you would get in parts where they
used parts or new parts?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Oh? I'm sure the new part.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
All right, acts, let's get chef on the phone.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Let's try to get them on the phone. And uh,
you know this is made for small claims court right
in that price range. At least to go and try
to get some money from them. If they put in
the wrong fluid, I don't see how they get out
of this. I don't see how they do it. I
mean they ruined his differential. More coming up, Go with

What happens when you have a two thousand and eight
l R TWI land Rover. You take it to Rocky
(36:55):
Mountain Quick Lube. They change the differential oil, but put
in the wrong fluid and it blew out the differential
and according to the Internet or where we looked it up,
it will have a devastating effect if you don't use
the right fluid.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Dmitri looked that.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
Up, and we have Jeff Thick on camera transmission. Jeff,
I don't know if you even work on land Rover.
But have you heard they're so persnickety about those fluids
or is every vehicle like that?
Speaker 11 (37:28):
Well, I mean, it just depends on the application they
can be on that they call for just council eighty ninety,
So as long as you're using some sort of equivalent,
and there's really nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
Okay, And what kind of an equivalent would they have
it listed? In other words, when you look up fluids,
do they have equivalents listed?
Speaker 11 (37:51):
Yeah, it would be just any equivalent eighty ninety on
the market. I mean, one of the standard stuff that
I carry stock for the majority of differentials out there
take the same bluid.
Speaker 13 (38:02):
Well, Jeff, hey, this is Dimitri and I looked it
up and it says that that car, this is a
zero eight land Rover l R two and it takes
not only you're partly correct rear differential fluid is seventy
five ninety GL five, but it also requires a special
fluid for its on demand all wheel drive. It's called
(38:22):
hal Dex coupling fluid.
Speaker 11 (38:24):
Well, yeah, but that's that's part of the transfer case.
Or some of them actually had a couple in the
front of the trend of the differential that will take
a different fluid there, Yes, and typically I mean you
can get some noise out of them when they do that.
But as far as like Grenadian, I've never seen that.
Speaker 13 (38:40):
It says that it causes terrible problems, it causes a
complete failure of the all wheel drive system.
Speaker 11 (38:50):
Potentially could but that's again, that's not the differential portion, right,
And if you got a service from what I'm understanding,
they service the ring and pinion, then that's the castle
ep X.
Speaker 13 (39:02):
It could be that Doug told us that the wrong
part has failed. Doug, what actually failed? Was it the
rear differential or was it something else?
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Doug, Let's bring him back up again. And was it
the entire differential that went out? Or was it one gear?
What did they tell you?
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Well, they said that I've got the paperwork right here.
Howland you.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
You got to stop listening to the radio. Man, this
is getting too confusing. You're listening to the radio and
then we are about twenty seconds behind that.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
I mean, so it's going.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
To be very confusing.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
Thank you. All right, Okay, all right, good good? So
what did they say?
Speaker 5 (39:47):
What sales?
Speaker 2 (39:47):
I know you've got it, I know you've got a
transmission mechanics or whatever. But this is what land Rover says,
and I trust him more than just some guy that's he's.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Just asking what broke? What are they quoting you?
Speaker 2 (40:05):
They said it was the rare differential.
Speaker 6 (40:09):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Now they also said it could screw up might transfer
case because it runs through the same system that all
the things land Rover says to you, eighty ninety is
a higher dick or oil, so that's what screws up everything.
Speaker 6 (40:32):
What do you think about getting.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
We don't listen, Doug, Doug, We're not doubting you that
this thing is screwed up.
Speaker 5 (40:40):
We were just trying to figure.
Speaker 4 (40:42):
Out the extent to which it's screwed up, you know,
saying the entire differential. Okay. We just wanted to know
did they did they specify anything or are they just
saying they're going to replace the whole thing.
Speaker 13 (40:55):
What do you think of calling Alexander's Automotive since they're
the ones that diagnosed this problem, and maybe asking them
to explain this to us so that we know exactly.
Speaker 4 (41:04):
Let's call the quick glube. Did you call him ax?
Did you try to get them on?
Speaker 2 (41:08):
I tried they won't even talk to me axe.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
What did they say to us?
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Balls or nothing got on that on that deal where
the training guys said that's wrong, it says eighty specifically
says no, you cannot use basic eighty ninety g L
five zero oh instead, because I just to front poor
(41:36):
pressure regulations and premature wear on internal clutches and pomp
basic gioil will cause all will drive systems to bind,
chatter and fail to engage properly.
Speaker 11 (41:49):
How long you.
Speaker 6 (41:53):
Jess, what's that?
Speaker 11 (41:55):
How long was this fluid in there before you experienced failure?
Speaker 5 (41:58):
He said, right away.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
It's still it's still driving, but it makes a howling noise.
It was in I probably I started noticing a howling
noise about maybe five hundred and seven hundred miles after
it did it. It didn't do it right when I
left the shop. But like I said, it's only got
it only had seventy some thousand miles.
Speaker 4 (42:19):
And they and they admitted to you, They admitted to
you the kind of fluid they put in there.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
Right, I've got it on their receipt.
Speaker 5 (42:28):
Got it okay, good, So it did well.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
And that's why when the mechanic the mechanic went out
and looked. I said, it's in my glove box. He
went out and looked at it. He goes, well, this
is what caused it. They used a wrong kind of
deer oil in it.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
Hey, Jeff, does eight grand sound outrages or is that
right around the what it would cost for parts?
Speaker 11 (42:50):
Do you think it's probably outside the realm of reasonability?
Speaker 5 (42:55):
No, wow, this is something Tom.
Speaker 13 (42:59):
You know, we're still not sure what parts need to
be fixed. Yeah, well, he said that. He keeps saying
the differential. Let's call Alexander's. Hey, Ax, call Alexander's. Let's
try to get them out.
Speaker 4 (43:10):
And by the way, as when you did call the
quick glue place, what did they say.
Speaker 5 (43:16):
You said you tried to get them on what did
they say?
Speaker 14 (43:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (43:18):
Well, when I did call, I didn't have any names
for anyone that Doug worked with, so it was a
little hard. The manager said, he has no idea what's
going on, but he gave me the owner's number, which
I did leave a voice message for.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
Okay, yeah, we'll give them the customer's name. They ought
to be able to look it up that way. Okay,
so let's call uh and figure out maybe Alexander's will
talk to us about what he found, and we're not
doubting them.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
Let's just figure it out.
Speaker 4 (43:47):
Three oh three seven one three talk three oh three
seven one three eight two five five Jeff, how specific
do fluids get? I mean, as far as other vehicles
that you know, are they all, like I said, particular
as to what they use?
Speaker 11 (44:06):
I'm sorry, I don't cut part of that shin and cut.
Speaker 9 (44:08):
In on you.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
I was just saying, are they all? Do they all?
Are they all particular as to what fluids they use?
Different differentials?
Speaker 11 (44:18):
The majority are going to be the gls by the
eighty ninety, but some of you, yes, you do have
other fluids that you need to put in them there,
or other additives that need to go along with it. So,
I mean it is important to make sure that year's
using whatever you're you know is required according to the application.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Okay, So as far as the five hundred to seven
hundred miles, that sounds about right.
Speaker 5 (44:43):
If you had the wrong fluid in.
Speaker 11 (44:44):
There, I would honestly have to see or or at
least test drive this thing is find out what's going on.
What kind of noise he's actually experiencing? Is something like,
you know, a clutch noise is going to be significally
different from something like a ring opinion noise or a
barying noise. So without having that, I'm a little bit
of a loss.
Speaker 4 (45:03):
And is it likely if it did ruin some internal
parts that the entire transfer case truly needs to be rebuilt?
Speaker 11 (45:11):
Well, depending on who the mechanic is that's working on it.
At the price range, it sounds like they're replacing. They're
just replacing an entire unit. They're not actually going in
and rebuilding, you know, because to rebuild it you could
take it apart. Some of that stuff is potentially solvgeable,
some of it's not, so he could potentially be looking
less if they're actually getting into, you know, an actual
(45:32):
rebuild scenario.
Speaker 5 (45:34):
Okay, we appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (45:35):

Welcome to the show. Three oh three seven one three

Speaker 5 (47:10):
A two five five So what parts see?
Speaker 11 (47:14):
What you know?
Speaker 4 (47:15):
What puzzles me just a little is He says that
basically it's still driving around, and you know, Bo said
something that I got me thinking, what if you just
put the right fluid in right now? Is it too
far gone? You know, like what exactly is going on?
And did that mechanic actually like take it apart and
(47:36):
scope the parts?
Speaker 5 (47:37):
I mean, I don't know. I mean, I'm not doubting
the guy.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
I just want to know to what degree did he
analyze it or did he just basically say, look, it
sounds like the whole thing to me? Did he take
it apart? Did he actually look at the parts or
did he just give an opinion based on the scenario.
And that really is a fair question. How far gone
(48:03):
is it? You know, sometimes you can have wrong fluids
in something and it doesn't immediately you know, pit the
metal or destroy the metal. You know, it's abrasive, maybe
more so than usual. I don't know, I mean, what
harm does it actually do? I'd like to know more
about that. Did you try to get them on acts?
(48:27):
Did you try to get the current shop.
Speaker 15 (48:29):
On I did, Yeah, But the mechanic who worked on
Doug's or inspected Doug's car was working on other cars.
So I had someone there named Al talk with me
about it.
Speaker 5 (48:42):
Okay, Well, yeah, what did he say?
Speaker 6 (48:45):
They didn't work on it.
Speaker 15 (48:46):
All they did was inspected it, inspect it and the
same thing as Doug. They just put the other mechanic
put the wrong oil or fuel or whatever.
Speaker 5 (48:55):
Okay, So they didn't take it.
Speaker 15 (48:56):
Apart and to my knowledge, no.
Speaker 16 (48:58):
And it sounds like they didn't change the oils. He's
still running around you right, accurate?
Speaker 4 (49:04):
Yeah, and maybe he didn't want to waste the money
on the new oil right now, I don't know.
Speaker 13 (49:08):
The whole point of trying to get Alexander's automotive on
the phone with us is so they can explain to
us what the repairs are that are required now.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
And I'd also like to know how they determined it.
Speaker 6 (49:19):
Was destroyed exactly.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
Yeah, and that's where the guy did I mean, did
he say acts that the guy I worked on it
might be available later?
Speaker 15 (49:28):
She said, he's unsure, but I gave him the number
to call if he is available, and he said to
let him know if he'll give him the number if
he is.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
Yeah, you know what we're going to have to do
is put this on hold until we hear some more
information and figure out what to do. So we have
calls in to uh to both Now, when you called
and let me get it straight, when you called Rocky
Mountain Quick Clube, did they did they? What did they
say exactly? Did they say we don't know what's who
(49:58):
the guy is? What?
Speaker 5 (49:59):
Did they?
Speaker 15 (50:01):
Pretty much? I mean that they said if they don't,
if they don't know who worked on the car, they
won't know how to help or anything about the issue.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
They don't file it by the customer's name.
Speaker 15 (50:11):
Well, I tried to give him his name, but he
said that I just we don't We didn't know, we
didn't work with him.
Speaker 5 (50:17):
It was just kind of very Doug.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Doug, do you know the name of the person that
worked on it over at Rocky Mountain Quick Loob?
Speaker 2 (50:24):
No, because I was waiting outside. They took the car
in and I waited outside.
Speaker 4 (50:30):
But I know that's crazy, that's crazy that he would
have Does the invoys have somebody's name on it?
Speaker 2 (50:37):
I don't have it with me. It's parked in the
friend's house because I didn't want to keep driving it
because they said it could probably could drive it, but
it could lead me on the side of the road,
and I can't afford to have it hauled.
Speaker 5 (50:50):
In right, I understand.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
That how that soil was a specifically fricktion modified to
allow the clutches and slip and engage smoothly. Basic gar
oil will cause it all will drive to barn shatter
and rail can gage poverty and take out your pumps clutches.
Speaker 16 (51:10):
And I have a question for Doug, Doug White, don't
you take the car, your land Rover, back to Alexander's
and have spend one hundred and fifty bucks and put
the right oil in it, and just.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
To see what happens?
Speaker 2 (51:22):
They said, because they said once you you can't it
contaminates everything.
Speaker 5 (51:28):
Oh that's not true.
Speaker 16 (51:28):
They could drain it out, drain the old oil out
and put this out that's already screwed.
Speaker 2 (51:33):
And if it's already screwed up the clutches and the pump.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
No, I understand it could be too late, it could be.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
We're just curious.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Man said it is not, then use basic gear oil.
Speaker 5 (51:50):
But why can't you drain it all out?
Speaker 16 (51:53):
I think you have to take it to a different dealer,
like did Jeff Vickers say?
Speaker 2 (51:57):
I think they screwed me and I thought you guys
could help.
Speaker 4 (52:00):
Well, we're well, hey, Hey, bro, listen, Doug. Of course
we want to help, but we got to be able to.
Speaker 5 (52:07):
Talk to him.
Speaker 4 (52:07):
Okay, I mean, we're not magic. We're going to call
the guy. You know, you know, don't get mad at us.
Don't you know you got screwed. So we're going to
try to help you. We're going to try to We're
going to try to expose these guys if they did it,
and figure out the best solution forward. Okay, And that's
what we're doing. So right now we can't get a
hold of anyone who can talk about it. Alexander's doesn't
(52:31):
have the guy available that looked at your your unit,
and then the Rocky Mountain Quick Glube they say they
need to know the name of the guy that worked
on it, which I think is crazy. I don't know
why they wouldn't have it filed under your name, the
customer's name, but maybe on your invoice they have the
name of the tech that worked on it. Now, if
(52:52):
they don't, then that's pretty crazy. That Rocky Mountain Quick
Glube is going to have a problem. But I think, Doug,
one of the things you can do, and I believe
if you have the wrong fluid in there, and it's
on the receipt, you're going to have a good case
for small claims court. I mean, these guys broke it,
(53:13):
they got to fix it. I don't see how they
get away with it that you have the receipt, you
show the fluid that's on there, and then you have
land Rover and the experts saying that would ruin the system.
So I don't know, Mark, do you go to small
claims court enough? Where you used to? And Dimitri you
(53:33):
go to small claims court? What do you guys think?
Do you think that's enough?
Speaker 13 (53:37):
No, she needs to have a proper diagnosis with a
mechanic stating what needs to be replaced.
Speaker 4 (53:43):
And why it needs to be replaced, not just it
blew the differential, right.
Speaker 13 (53:47):
I mean we don't even know what got blown or
what got damaged. He just knows the thing is leaking
and it's making a howling sound. You need to have
really specific information. You need to be able to show
what was damaged and how much it will cost, and
an expert opinion on why it was damaged.
Speaker 6 (54:04):
So yeah, it's it's not that simple.
Speaker 13 (54:06):
That's why it's critical for us or Doug to talk
to Alexander's and get this in writing from them, Doug.
Speaker 4 (54:12):
Did they give you yeah, a written that's a good point, Dmitri.
Did they put something in writing?
Speaker 5 (54:18):
Doug?
Speaker 2 (54:19):
Yeah. I got the paperwork and I took it back
to quickly and they took pictures of the letters and
they said they'd tell their owner. And that was that
was the twenty second or something. And I haven't heard
from him, saying.
Speaker 16 (54:35):
Maybe I can call call during the break again.
Speaker 5 (54:38):
Why don't you do that? Why don't you get old
of the owner and get.
Speaker 7 (54:41):
A copy, get a copy of his receipt from them both,
so they can at least look it up somehow.
Speaker 16 (54:47):
Right, I need the text name, and I bet it's
on the Doug's receipt.
Speaker 5 (54:51):
Just got to look through and find it. Well, they
got to have something like that.
Speaker 4 (54:54):
Okay, so we'll take this break, but I agree both.
Speaker 5 (54:57):
Thanks for helping out with this, Doug. We're going to
do what we can.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
I mean, it's it's to us if, in fact, they
put the wrong fluid in there with a diagnostic, a
good diagnostic, saying that was the point of failure. I
don't see why you can't get this taken care of
with a judgment and in small claims court. I totally
think that's the path forward if these guys won't do

Speaker 4 (56:40):
Wutybo is gonna take that up and and, basically, Uh
i'm gonna say something this this really is. Important and
again he didn't do anything, wrong but it's really important
and he's done. That he he has kept, records he
has his, receipt he knows what fluid was put in.
There but you have to document and the most recent
(57:01):
person to go to court and to do all these,
Documentations DEPUTY.
Speaker 5 (57:04):
D he does.
Speaker 4 (57:05):
It SO. D you have to be very. Specific you
can't just go and gripe about. IT i REMEMBER i
was suing for some damages for my son's car in
a parking lot and just saying the car was damaged
and putting an amount on it is not. Enough you
have to show some. Stuff you have to. Show, yeah
(57:26):
you have.
Speaker 13 (57:26):
Estimate you have to back up every single thing you.
Say you have to be able to explain every, word
every comma and why it's. There you can't just show
up and, say, ah the guy said it costs a.
Speaker 6 (57:36):
Grand you got to bring all the, Receipts you got
to bring the.
Speaker 13 (57:38):
Estimate and ask you to what's. Wrong and you probably
have to bring the mechanic to. Testify, too, right because
that the estimate that you bring in is technically considered.
Hearsay so you got to get the guy who wrote
that estimate to come in and.
Speaker 4 (57:50):
Testify what is the Sound i'm? Hearing AM i hearing
a sound from you? Guys or from? Me or from what?
Speaker 5 (57:57):
People to talk to?
Speaker 4 (57:58):
PEOPLE i don't? Know there it's off, now thank you very.
MUCH i was hearing some return. Audio SO i got
what you, said, though And i'm hoping everyone did. So
as far as the, differential, though would he have to
have that torrent literally taken apart to see what damages there?
Are or can the mechanic just say using this fluid
(58:19):
is known to ruin these things and this is how
much it costs to.
Speaker 13 (58:22):
Fix, yeah you can probably get away with, THAT i,
mean if you want to save some money on. Diagnostics
but the more detail you offer the. BETTER i, mean
this thing is called these cases are one and lost
on what's called the preponderance of the. Rights, Right so
you want to have more evidence on your side than
the other guy is going to have on this. Side
and the more you, bring the better off you, are
(58:43):
the more credibility you, have and you can't be you
can't be kind of nebulous Like doug unfortunately was during his.
CALL i mean, this even now fifteen minutes, later you
AND i AND bo really don't know what actually brokeferential.
Is the transfer case is a part of some four
wheel drive control. System so you can't show up and
(59:07):
convince a judge based on this kind of exchange that
we just had With.
Speaker 6 (59:12):
Doug you've got to have everything.
Speaker 5 (59:13):
Document, also we always talk about.
Speaker 4 (59:16):
Depreciation if something has seventy thousand miles on it and
it's going to be eight grand and those are all new,
parts can you make the? Argument can can the other
side make the ARGUMENT i don't owe him something?
Speaker 6 (59:27):
New it would be up to them to make the.
Speaker 4 (59:29):
Argument do they often do?
Speaker 5 (59:31):
THAT i KNOW i talk about it a, lot but
does it?
Speaker 13 (59:33):
HAPPEN i don't. KNOW i, Mean i've never seen. What
i've Never i've been to court plenty of. Times i've
never seen somebody sue a mechanic and then there's this
debate about whether or not do we rule a new
one or do we owe him a transfer case with
eighty thousand miles on. IT i haven't seen, that BUT
i can tell you it's up to the defense to
raise that, objection and they may not even think of,
it and we and by the, way look at, This
(59:55):
doug still hasn't told, us And i'm not sure he even.
Speaker 6 (59:58):
Knows eight thousand is that with used parts or?
Speaker 10 (01:00:01):
Something?
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Brands and then over and let's just say you open
up the transfer case and someone Like Jeff vick can
put it back. Together AND i don't know what's in
a transfer, case SO.
Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
I might be speaking out of.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
School but let's just say there's a main gear, there
and that main gear is chewed up and needs to be,
replaced but the other gears look. Fine are you obligated
to mitigate your damages like that or do you, say
once that's, OPEN i want the whole damn thing.
Speaker 13 (01:00:26):
Done, no it's it's so it's not the duty to.
Mitigate it's a duty to be reasonable in what you're. Demanding,
Right so if you open up, this let's say it's
the transfer. Case if you open it up and some
things have to be, replaced but the case, itself you, know, yeah,
yeah probably doesn't need to be a, replaced just needs
to be. Resealed so that's what makes this a reasonable. Demand,
(01:00:49):
Right so if all if the stuff can be reused
if it's going to be reused on this estimate or
this bit that you. Got that's reasonable if you ignore
things that need to be or that can be reused
and simply, say, hey lendrover once eight grand for, THIS
i want eight.
Speaker 6 (01:01:04):
GRANTS i can buy a brand new everything for no matter.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
What that's, unreasonable right three oh three seven one three
talk seven one three eight two five Five, Sarah welcome
to the. Show what's going on with? You sarah has
to do with a car as. Well what's Happening?
Speaker 17 (01:01:20):
Hi SO i have a twenty twenty One Mitsubishi I'll
Lander sport THAT i took To Breaks plus to get
new pads and. Rotors they replaced the pods and, rotors
and then the very next day my vehicle started making
like a, train.
Speaker 14 (01:01:35):
Like a like a very loud.
Speaker 17 (01:01:36):
SOUND i took it back To Breaks. Plus they were,
like no issues were. Found so THEN i took it
To Bob Pinkus mansa Formerly mitsubishi here In Colorado springs
AND i was told that the backing plates were installed
too close to the, rotors and they adjusted. Them the
very next, morning the sound, continued SO i returned To
mansta and then was told that the left rear caliber needed,
(01:01:59):
replace SO i had the left rear caliper replaced by breaks.
Plus the next, morning the sound persisted. Again at that
POINT i drove seventy seven miles To Skyline mitsubishi In, Thortant,
colorado rented a, vehicle left my vehicle for, inspection And
Skyline mitsubishi informed me that the brake line was, loose
(01:02:20):
the emergency parking brake cable was routed, incorrectly the rotor
set screws were completely, missing the caliper work appeared rushed and,
incomplete and the rotors were floating. Freely after those, REPAIRS
i was told the vehicle would be tested the next
morning and that the front pads might also need replacement
(01:02:41):
if the sound. Continued, unfortunately the sound returned again the following,
morning SO i drove into their seventy seven miles back
To Skyline. Mitsubishi they completed everything and again waited the
next day and the sound.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Persists so hold on a.
Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
SECOND i want to ask you something Era in addition
to the, sound.
Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
Are you having any drivability? Issues? No and how bad
is that?
Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
Sound it is.
Speaker 14 (01:03:12):
HORRIBLE i have videos of this.
Speaker 17 (01:03:14):
Sound it everybody looks like turns their head.
Speaker 18 (01:03:17):
And looked at but not in a good, way like.
Speaker 17 (01:03:20):
It brings all the attention to.
Speaker 5 (01:03:22):
Me so what happened when you brought it back.
Speaker 6 (01:03:27):
The?
Speaker 17 (01:03:27):
Breaks plus they said that they didn't they didn't notice the.
Sound so the sound typically only starts after the first
start of the, day that's in the.
Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
Morning that's.
Speaker 13 (01:03:37):
Weird is it a sound that happens when you push
down on the brake pedal or is the sound always
on while you're driving without using the brakes.
Speaker 17 (01:03:46):
In the morning when AFTER i start the, vehicle the
sound only starts AFTER i press the gas, pedal and
then it sounds like dragging, metal like under.
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
Really but hold, on but it's only the first start
of the.
Speaker 5 (01:04:01):
Day sounds more like a Wheelbearing and in.
Speaker 17 (01:04:06):
Rare, cases if it's like wet, outside sometimes you'll hear
it again IF i wait six hours or seven hours
before the next. Drive, sometimes but if in order to.
Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Put does Skyline skyline says it has to do with
the break job you had.
Speaker 17 (01:04:25):
Done that's what they. Have that's what they initially guessed
and now they now they.
Speaker 7 (01:04:32):
Don't how much did you spend on their?
Speaker 17 (01:04:36):
Diagnosis it's two hundred dollars for each. Diagnosis BUT i
will Say skyline did not charge me because of every they.
SAID i was taken A.
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Skyline attempt to fix. IT i, MEAN i Know skyline
said these things are, wrong but did they say we fixed?
Speaker 5 (01:04:53):
Them They.
Speaker 19 (01:04:58):
It says like in other, words when you take it To,
skyline presumably you want it, fixed right or did you
take it back To Breaks plus with What skyline told?
Speaker 17 (01:05:10):
You, No skyline did the.
Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
Work, Okay so right, now if, anything It's skyline who
did not get it. RIGHT i, MEAN i know that sounds,
unfair BUT i mean even though it showed up With Breaks,
Plus skyline now has had a couple shots of fixing
it and they still haven't been able to fix. It
(01:05:34):
so what do they? Say what's the latest they? Say
or have they given?
Speaker 5 (01:05:39):
Up?
Speaker 17 (01:05:40):
Yeah their latest is found on inspection driver rear caliper
filled with air appeared to not have been filled with.
Fluid customer was advised caliper replaced or customer advised caliper
replaced It Breaks plus the Second that was the first, time, Right, No,
no this is my most recent.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
Time BUT i don't know how they keep Blaming breaks
plus if they had three shots.
Speaker 17 (01:06:04):
At this thank, you thank you right now it literally
says the last sentence is not interested in pursuing further.
Repair and then they sent me to sales to trade
in my vehicle and.
Speaker 20 (01:06:16):
Kept my keys.
Speaker 5 (01:06:17):
HOSTAGE i want to hear this, sound. Guys let's get
a copy of this.
Speaker 17 (01:06:21):

Speaker 7 (01:06:25):
It over break And i'll try to post it up
for people to hear on our YouTube. Channel BUT i, mean,
REALLY i want to hear this sound more than.
Speaker 13 (01:06:32):
Anything, well and not only do we want to hear the,
sound But, sarah Did skyline offer you any explanation for this?
Sound do they have any idea what's causing this terrible?
Speaker 14 (01:06:42):
Sound it sounds like they. DON'T i think they're on their,
own no pun.
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Intended so so, Far skyline just charged you the first
time for two hundred. Bucks no my.
Speaker 17 (01:06:54):
Apology skyline has not charged me a. Dime they've done everything.
Speaker 4 (01:06:59):
Which out and they didn't make any. Repairs it doesn't
sound like they made any repairs for. You if they
didn't charge you, anything it sounds like they were just
looking at. It.
Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
Well can they even duplicate.
Speaker 7 (01:07:11):

Sarah what is your? Comment she, said by the, way
(01:11:20):
that this was after a break job At Breaks. Plus
then she went, back or not went. Back she went
To Skyline, mitsubishi who did some work for. Her they've
never charged, her but she, said they've never fixed it,
either so you really just need to.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
Take it somewhere and have it.
Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
FIXED i don't know what the heck's going on if
they've never charged.
Speaker 5 (01:11:45):
YOU i, mean that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
To me that they replaced the caliber and did repairs for.
You why didn't they charge, You? Sarah what was the
reason they did not charge?
Speaker 17 (01:11:56):
You, so just to, CLARIFY i did take it back
To Breaks, plus And Breaks plus said that they didn't
hear the. Sound and THEN i took it to the
FORMER mitsubc dealership In Colorado's, springs which is now A mazda,
dealership and they charged me a two hundred dollars diagnostics,
(01:12:18):
seed but they didn't do the. Work AND i explained
all of this To skyline AND i was just at
my wits, end and by the grace Of, god they
just they did the work without charging.
Speaker 18 (01:12:28):
ME i think they understood by Like mike.
Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
Seeing at that, Point susan has a, comment not sure
what it. Is by the, WAY i am getting text
saying that people have heard they heard that sound on
the radio quite. Well so that's good to, Know. Susan
what is your?
Speaker 5 (01:12:45):
Comment, Hi?
Speaker 18 (01:12:47):
TOM i had the same problem In march with MY Pt.
CRUISER i had to have the breaks replaced on the
front and it was squealing WHEN i left. There the
next day WHEN i drove it AND i took it
back three. Times the second time they did the same.
Thing they replaced a caliper on, it and then there
was still, squealing SO i went back again and it
(01:13:11):
ended up bringing the brake pad was. Bad they had
used like a generic type of brake pad that they
put on every, car and he my mechanic upgraded to
a better brake pad and the squealing went.
Speaker 4 (01:13:24):
Away what did it squeal when you pressed on the?
Speaker 20 (01:13:28):
Brake, yes it squawled all the.
Speaker 18 (01:13:33):
Time it squealed WHEN i started, off AND i even
ride with me in my car so they could hear.
It and they heard.
Speaker 5 (01:13:40):
It, oh so it wasn't just causing.
Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
It it wasn't just when you applied. Brakes it was
when you rolled away from the. Curb you could hear
it when you were when you were.
Speaker 5 (01:13:50):
Moving, yep, yep that's.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Right keez, it bad brake.
Speaker 18 (01:13:55):
Pad tell her to have him replace the bad brake.
Speaker 4 (01:13:58):
Pads, well that might be. SOMETHING i, mean who, Knows thank,
You susan.
Speaker 13 (01:14:03):
BOUND i heard was not a. Squeal that was a grinding.
Sound that was a metal on Metal, again.
Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
Let's try to hear this. Again we'll be really. Silent,
now let's hear. It hold, On i'm going to turn
our MIC's off and turn it.
Speaker 6 (01:14:14):
On that's.
Speaker 13 (01:14:28):
Weird, yeah but it's also not a. Squeal, no it's a.
Grind it's a grinding, sound something dragging in. There AND
i just but what but why would it? Go why
would it only happen in the. MORNING i don't, know
but that's a good question for For jesse From Honest.
Speaker 4 (01:14:46):
Automotive, Yeah, SARAH i would go To Honest Accurate. AUTO
i am, Baffled and but does anyone have a? Clue,
seriously why? Idea why in the? Morning it would happen
in the morning when she starts it up and then
pulls away from the curb or starts rolling it's going
(01:15:11):
and Then, sarah does it lighten up once you get?
Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
Driving does?
Speaker 17 (01:15:16):
Stop the only way to make it stop is to
press the, Brakes.
Speaker 4 (01:15:23):
And when you press the, brakes it stops for the
rest of the.
Speaker 17 (01:15:27):
Day it stops for This the whole sequence last about
fifteen to twenty, seconds SO i have you're going to
hear the sound WHEN i roll. Away THEN i press the,
brakes it, stops and then it'll happen. Again and THEN
i press the brakes and it. Stops and then after
this twenty to thirty second sequence it stops for.
Speaker 5 (01:15:45):
The rest of the.
Speaker 17 (01:15:46):
Day but All i'm, driving all you're a little toot
WHEN i press the, Brakes but that's a different. Shunt
i'm not worry one.
Speaker 5 (01:15:55):
Happened hold on, bow hold on.
Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
Bow let's Bring steve, up who says he thinks he
knows what's wrong with.
Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
It go, Ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
STEVE i think is what's.
Speaker 10 (01:16:04):
Wrong with the backing plate when they probably put rotors on,
it they bet the backing plate and the backing plates
rubbing against the. Road i've done breaks for, years And
i've done it and it sounds exactly like, that.
Speaker 4 (01:16:17):
Really so tell me what you Tell tell me what
you did to fix it.
Speaker 10 (01:16:25):
Just depending on which will it is left or. Right
AND i bet the backing plate back to where it,
belongs which is the backplate of the backside of the.
Roader it's just a dust, protector but it is metal on.
Metal that's exactly what it sounds.
Speaker 6 (01:16:42):
Like and see what does? It come and? GO i,
think because come and?
Speaker 10 (01:16:48):
Go it could come and. Go but the thing is
is eventually it's gonna wear the backing plate down and
you're not gonna hear.
Speaker 4 (01:16:55):
It well it and, okay and that's a bad. Thing
it wears the vacking plate down, right not really, critical
it's a it's a five minute.
Speaker 10 (01:17:06):
Job pull the wheel, off look on the back and
see if it's, worn and if it, is just bend
it back by, hand put the wheelback on Of you're, Done.
Speaker 16 (01:17:14):
Steve can you think that because it's happening in the
morning that the metal surfaces surfaces are closer together because it's,
Cold and then when she gets rolling natively and then
metal expands and they're not touching another.
Speaker 10 (01:17:28):
Thing another thing is is going? Forward and is it going?
Speaker 14 (01:17:33):
Backwards, oh that's a good.
Speaker 4 (01:17:37):
Point you should do it all the.
Speaker 10 (01:17:38):
Time it should do it worse going. BACKWARDS i mean just,
rolling just, rolling you'll hear.
Speaker 4 (01:17:43):
It but why when she's, okay when she starts out
in the, Morning, steve she, says if she taps the,
brakes the grinding.
Speaker 10 (01:17:52):
Stops that could be because everything has a little bit of,
movement and when you put the brakes, on your centering
everything because breaks are on the outside of the cow
or the road and freezes everything solid. Straight let me,
say eventually it's gonna wear.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
IT i, SEE i, see and then overnight it kind
of settles up against the up against the disc and,
YEAH i see what you're, saying because it's it's the backing, plate,
Right and then as she as she presses on the,
brake it kind of centers them so they're not. Grinding
and then when it sits around that backing, plate memory goes.
(01:18:36):
Back that makes that makes a lot of sense my.
Speaker 10 (01:18:41):
Theory thank, You.
Speaker 4 (01:18:42):
Steve let's go To. John he has a. Theory, Hi,
John welcome to the. Show what do you, Think? JOHN
i Like steve's idea that backing plate. Pressing go, Ahead, John.
Speaker 21 (01:18:55):
Okay on the brake, pads there's a little protrusion which
it is meant to be a sensor so that when
the pads get worn down to that, point that piece
of metal will scrape against the. Rotor and my tip
off to her was as soon as she, said when
she puts the brakes, on it goes. Away that's my
(01:19:19):
flag on.
Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
It so you think it's a, but but but the
brakes aren't worn.
Speaker 6 (01:19:25):
Down, yeah these are brand new brake.
Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
Pads yeah they're new.
Speaker 21 (01:19:28):
Pads, yeah worn they are worn, down but it's to
prevent the person to over wear them, out so it's
metal against metal and then destroy the.
Speaker 13 (01:19:39):
Rotor the device That john is referring, to it's called a,
squealer and it's these little sheet metal tabs they put
on the brake, pad so when the brake pad wears,
down they get to the newer closer and closer and
closer to the rotor and eventually contacts the.
Speaker 6 (01:19:56):
Rotor it makes that squealing.
Speaker 13 (01:19:57):
Sound, however these are brand new brake, pad, right that's the,
bar so the squealer is going to be far. AWAY i,
mean it's a good. Theory had these been used brake,
pads but.
Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
These does the squealer then it. Doesn't it doesn't grind
into the to the, disc does.
Speaker 5 (01:20:13):
It it just wears a way.
Speaker 13 (01:20:14):
Image it's it's supposed to be softer than the, disc
and so it's just, annoying but it's not supposed to
damage the.
Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
Disc all, Right, well thank You john for your. Theory,
again that's a. Mystery But, sarah you're going to go to,
Honest Accurate auto And Colorado springs and we'll figure that.

Speaker 4 (01:22:02):
Today we've had the mystery of the of the, Brakes
and by the, Way i'm getting a lot of other
people who are sending in their theories of, stuff and
they're saying that it sounds no matter. What it's the
pad grinding up against the disc for one reason or.
Another when she taps the, brake it centers things until
(01:22:27):
it goes back.
Speaker 5 (01:22:28):
To its default.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Position AND i think the guy that talked about the backer,
PLATE i think he hit it on the hit the
nail on the.
Speaker 5 (01:22:37):
Head that the backer plate makes it go back.
Speaker 4 (01:22:40):
To an uneven, position and the brakes being applied basically
shifts it over and keeps it centered for a.

heart was. Fine they had to look it up on
the internet to see how to deal with somebody who
was electrocuted.
Speaker 2 (01:26:21):
And got a.
Speaker 22 (01:26:22):
Seer doctors didn't know how to treat.
Speaker 2 (01:26:25):

Speaker 11 (01:26:44):

Speaker 22 (01:26:52):
What they called THE, tbi so brain, damage muscle. DAMAGE
I i've add three surgeries to my left. Arm now
they want to do a fourth. Surgery so did you just.
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
Did you hire an attorney when this happened?
Speaker 22 (01:27:09):
Damage, Yeah since all of this has, happened they've recommended speech.
Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
Therapy.
Speaker 22 (01:27:18):
UH i can't get any asking from my balance.
Speaker 4 (01:27:22):
There but, okay ow ow, listen, now ow, ow so,
far here here's the. Deal we don't need to know
each and every, detail but we're going to say.
Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
This you you had major.
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
Injuries you had A tbi or a few, TBIs and
you were in bad. Shape so what did they? Recommend
did you go on workers? Compensation i'm on work comp.
Speaker 22 (01:27:47):
Now but they're denying the treatment for. Everything, okay what are.
Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
They denying specific, specifically what are they.
Speaker 22 (01:27:55):
Denying they're denying my head, trauma the trauma to my
hands and the rest of my. Body the only thing
they've treated.
Speaker 5 (01:28:06):
Is My do you have an. ATTORNEY i do have.
Speaker 22 (01:28:11):
An, attorney but he's kind of laying down on.
Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
Me he's not.
Speaker 22 (01:28:16):
Really fighting for. Me it's like he's just working for
me to.
Speaker 9 (01:28:20):
Get his cut of.
Speaker 22 (01:28:22):
It and that's.
Speaker 9 (01:28:22):
It.
Speaker 4 (01:28:24):
Okay, now what does your attorney say you have as
far as a? Settlement, AL i got bad news for.
You these lawsuits with workers comp.
Speaker 5 (01:28:36):
Are, way, way way.
Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
Less than they would be if you were an independent you,
know if you were just injured. Civilly when you are
injured on the, job your damages are severely. Limited just
so you know, THAT i, mean even the best case,
scenario there's not a lot of money in workers comp
(01:28:58):
to have they.
Speaker 5 (01:28:59):
Offer are you any kind of a?
Speaker 22 (01:29:01):
Settlement at one point they offered me thirty thousand?
Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Dollars?
Speaker 4 (01:29:09):
Okay and what did your attorney say about?
Speaker 24 (01:29:11):
That?
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
Uh he's saying THAT i might.
Speaker 22 (01:29:16):
Be able to get, no maybe about maybe Ninety we're,
okay nothing at.
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
All, okay are you getting weekly? Checks are you getting your?
Speaker 22 (01:29:32):
Paychecks i'm getting about sixty percent of my, check.
Speaker 5 (01:29:37):
Right that's.
Speaker 4 (01:29:38):
Normal that's. Normal so what did you call about? Today
what is? It because they're denying you your?
Speaker 22 (01:29:44):
Health, yeah because pretty, MUCH i, Well i'm not going
to be able to go back to do anything of
WHAT i used to.
Speaker 11 (01:29:55):
Be able to.
Speaker 6 (01:29:55):
Do And.
Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
I'm right and be able to.
Speaker 22 (01:29:58):
Earn anything near WHAT i was able to. Earn And
i've still got a lot of years left in, me
AND i don't feel like it's.
Speaker 6 (01:30:07):
Fair, no it's.
Speaker 5 (01:30:09):
Not by al let me just say this right up.
Speaker 4 (01:30:12):
Front the worker's compensation system is not. Fair, OKAY i
got to tell you, That but it's unfortunately the only
system we have for workers to get. Damages you're not
going to have a case to sue them outside of workers'
(01:30:35):
comp so you're going to be, very very limited in.
Damages that's the unfortunate, part no matter how you look at. It,
however if you get partial, disability then you'll get a
check for, that or you'll get a settlement has has
a doctor declared you impaired by a certain? Percentage have
(01:30:58):
you been given an impair?
Speaker 9 (01:31:00):
Rating not?
Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
Yet, no.
Speaker 4 (01:31:03):
Okay are they working on getting you an impairment. Rating
they're trying, to, okay and they haven't come up with anything.
Yet and you were the.
Speaker 22 (01:31:18):
Three doctors that they've had so. Far one of their
last one said that my electrocution was nothing more than
a surface burn AND i should have been back to
work within thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:31:30):
Days so they're trying to minimize, it, Right, yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:31:37):
They're trying to say that nothing happened to, me which
is a bunch OF.
Speaker 4 (01:31:41):
Bf now, listen speaking of, that did anyone document it
at the? Time did you fill out a report at
the time at my, Job, no they never filled out a.
Speaker 22 (01:31:57):
Report i've docum minute at every Time i've gone into
the work comp, Doctors, okay stacks and stacks of. Paperwork
but on the.
Speaker 4 (01:32:08):
Day you were, shocked on that day you were, shocked
was anything written up or did anyone make any kind
of a report THAT i know?
Speaker 2 (01:32:20):
Of?
Speaker 5 (01:32:20):
No did you open up a worker's comp case after?
Speaker 4 (01:32:25):
That? Yes, Okay, well at least then there's a worker's
comp Case since twenty twenty, three so that goes to
twenty four twenty. Five so you're in your your third
year right, now and they got to come up with
what they call maximum medical improvement that says what your
(01:32:47):
impairment rating, is and then they settle with you. Accordingly
that's what's supposed to, happen and your attorney is supposed
to be communicating all this to. You have you thought
of out having another attorney look at your.
Speaker 22 (01:33:02):
Case i've tried getting a new attorney and a lot
of them have turned me away because they're.
Speaker 7 (01:33:11):
A lot they don't like the medical. RECORD i, mean
just say what it. Is you can you can insist
upon an independent medical examiner or AN, ime, right But
i'm pretty sure you got to come out of.
Speaker 5 (01:33:23):
Pocket.
Speaker 4 (01:33:25):
Yeah You you have the, right, though to go to
an independent doctor to get another.
Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
Opinion have you done that? Yet?
Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
Oh we did go to one and.
Speaker 22 (01:33:39):
The, attorney my attorney helped pay for.
Speaker 5 (01:33:42):
That and what did? That what did that doctor say.
Speaker 22 (01:33:48):
THAT i have, uh some neurological, issues but he doesn't
know how much weight that'll. Carry what the attorney he's
trying to get the case set up, before not the,
attorney the.
Speaker 9 (01:34:02):
Judge he's trying to.

Speaker 2 (01:35:27):
And mark was.
Speaker 4 (01:35:28):
Wrong is what you're saying as per?
Speaker 13 (01:35:30):
Usual and the very first definition That Marrying webster offers
is to kill or severely injure by electric shock or severely. Injured,
wow and it sounds like our caller is unfortunately severely
injured by.
Speaker 4 (01:35:44):
It you, know people have, suffered by the, Way i've
looked up electrical shock, before And i've known people who
had electrical. Shock people suffer from depression after a major.
Electrocution al have you suffered from any kind of pression after?
Speaker 22 (01:36:00):

come up with thirty grand do you?
Speaker 9 (01:39:01):
Think, well when we look at a work comp, settlement
it's the value and how it's ascertained is determined really
by several. Factors one is what is the likely future
medical exposure the comp is getting out of paying by
virtue of. Settling, two what is the probable impairment rating
(01:39:23):
that an injured worker might receive from his. Injury did
you ever get an impairment rating that they were follow
final admission of?
Speaker 4 (01:39:30):
Life he said they never.
Speaker 9 (01:39:32):
Did, well then it was based on sort of estimating
what his injuries. Are and as far as the traumatic brain,
injury that's determined as all impairments are In colorado by
THE Aime, guidelines third edition. Revised it's required by statute
(01:39:55):
a traumatic brain injury be a whole person, injury and
the value of that is determined not only by what
the rating, is but also by a person's age and
how much they were making as a. Formula and did
he ever never receive an impairment rating at?
Speaker 4 (01:40:11):
All, no he, said they didn't, write, al you did
not get an impairment, rating, okay putting.
Speaker 22 (01:40:19):
Me at that maximum medical. Improvement and the doctor refused
to give me THE.

Mmi, Okay, well were you replaced at maximum medical? Improvement
but he didn't give you an impairment rating or he
didn't say you're, no.
Speaker 22 (01:40:35):
He's the doctor refused to put me AT mmi because
they didn't treat me for everything That they only treated me.
Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
For my arm and not for my head and my.
Speaker 22 (01:40:47):
Hands and all the other things THAT i was complaining.

be almost.
Speaker 14 (01:46:49):
Smooth so they'll be filled.
Speaker 5 (01:46:51):
In, NO i get what you're.
Speaker 4 (01:46:53):
Saying that's cool and as far as somebody else, here
and these were From, friday just that little time you were.
On their garage is unfinished that they have us stud.
Walls can you still do gladiator cabinets or do you
have to have drywall?
Speaker 14 (01:47:11):
Up, well we can go right over to, studs.
Speaker 4 (01:47:16):
So you can do, that and then you have those
walls that have the hangars in, them.
Speaker 24 (01:47:21):
Right flat walls we should, Go, Yeah florida's ceiling or

Want you'll come, in you'll finish it if they want with,
drywall or you'll just go over the. Studs you can
also do hanging walls From florida, ceiling and you do
the garage. Floors of, course what about oil and? Gas
how does that work with these?
Speaker 24 (01:48:04):
Floors all you have to do is take water in
a rag, well wipe off the oil and. Gas the
only thing we do not warranty against is transmission fluid
and brake. Fluid oh, acid and it actually stained the.
Speaker 4 (01:48:20):
Coatings, Okay and what is hot tire? Pickup somebody said
they had a floor done and they had a problem
when they came in where their tires were sitting so.
Speaker 24 (01:48:36):
Hot tire Marks tom are more for aposse. Floors what
happens is apossey is not heat, resistant so your.
Speaker 14 (01:48:45):
Tires are super.
Speaker 24 (01:48:46):
Hot when you drive in, there you almost liquify the.
Speaker 10 (01:48:50):
Aposse ah our kits.
Speaker 24 (01:48:53):
There it bonds to your tires and every time you
drive in and out you remove some of the.
Speaker 4 (01:48:58):
Apossey, now now that is something that does not happen
with THE, uh with THE.
Speaker 5 (01:49:05):
Uh the kind.
Speaker 4 (01:49:06):
Of floor you, have, Polyspartic, yeah we guarantee that will not. Happen,
okay so you'll go out and do free. Estimates get
real quick.
Speaker 7 (01:49:18):
THOUGH i gotta say this, man he did mine once,
again five six years. Ago we have had those kind
of tire, marks of, course, MUD i don't Think i've
ever leaked break.
Speaker 5 (01:49:28):
Fluid but it looks brand new, Still.
Speaker 4 (01:49:32):
NO i, know it's, incredible and you have all different.
Colors what kind of colors do you. Have you don't
have any of those light pinkish colors people are doing
for a, while or blues.
Speaker 24 (01:49:44):
Do You they could do whatever, Color, Tom we have
over a thousand different color.
Speaker 2 (01:49:49):
Choices oh my, god.
Speaker 14 (01:49:53):
We have one Of Brian burns From.
Speaker 24 (01:49:55):
Compass he actually made his own, color so we didn't
really blind for.
Speaker 5 (01:50:02):
Him oh that is pretty, cool, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:50:06):
Brian and so as far as, COLORS i did not
realize that it comes in so many different. Colors and
so so you can BASICALLY i, MEAN i mean whatever you.
Want basically you can find a color whatever you.
Speaker 24 (01:50:23):
Want we give you the. Website we don't charge anymore
or any color choice of your whatever you.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
Want, now you talked About friday side wall.
Speaker 5 (01:50:36):
Area what are you talking about? There tell us about.
Speaker 24 (01:50:38):
That those are the concrete walls that go from the
floor to the studs or the.
Speaker 4 (01:50:46):
M, okay so you will meet you will meet that
with the you'll cover that.
Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Up.
Speaker 5 (01:50:53):
Correct, now if someone.
Speaker 4 (01:50:58):
Has wood steps from their garage going into the, house
can you treat.
Speaker 24 (01:51:04):
Those, yep, yes we treat those, well flake, them no.
Charge the only thing is they might flake off over
time ten, Years so therefore we don't want he to,
stare but we do do them for free.
Speaker 5 (01:51:23):
Mind having flaked at.
Speaker 4 (01:51:24):
All, wow that's incredible and this and that's over. Wood
he did my patio.
Speaker 7 (01:51:30):
Too if you guys have a patio and you don't
want to pour new cement because maybe it's cracked or,
something he can fill the cracks and coat it and
it looks like it's brand new whatever color you.
Speaker 4 (01:51:40):
Want SO. Tj somebody is asking about coving on.
Speaker 5 (01:51:46):
Sides what is?
Speaker 24 (01:51:48):
That we do not recommend, That. Tom what covid is
there's a black felt around your garage that loud moist
to come up from your garage floor when the curve
that what they do they blocked that moisture in and
your floor blove eventually fail because the moisture gets in
(01:52:11):
that concrete and actually peels the coating.
Speaker 4 (01:52:15):
Block so the coving is kind of like a is
like A they take the corner, out don't.
Speaker 5 (01:52:21):
They it's like a little.
Speaker 24 (01:52:22):
Curve black piece of felt along the garage floor.
Speaker 6 (01:52:29):
On all three.
Speaker 24 (01:52:30):
Walls because your garage floor is a floating, floor it's
not attached to the.
Speaker 14 (01:52:36):
Foundation got. It it takes the moisture.
Speaker 24 (01:52:39):
Out got it of the floor from the.
Speaker 5 (01:52:42):
House and so.
Speaker 4 (01:52:45):
You want to keep it the way it, is where
it meets the where it meets the.
Speaker 24 (01:52:48):
Wall correct because eventually that's just gonna moisture is going
to get under.
Speaker 14 (01:52:56):
There your floor will actually start peeling.
Speaker 4 (01:52:58):
Up, okay if somebody wants to know about the wire
or the, uh the gladiator or otherwise addicts they're calling,
THEM i know what they're talking. About the hanging you,
know the hanging shelves from the, ceiling.
Speaker 14 (01:53:16):
And the one we use hold typically about.
Speaker 5 (01:53:21):
Pounds, wow, Rat so you can do.
Speaker 4 (01:53:28):
Those then you do those hanging those they they come,
down what's come down about four.
Speaker 24 (01:53:32):
Feet four to six, feet depending on where we adjust
them and where the customer wants.
Speaker 5 (01:53:38):
Them but, yes.
Speaker 4 (01:53:41):
All, right and just on passing, Again i'm not trying
to load you.
Speaker 5 (01:53:45):

Speaker 4 (02:03:34):
Drivable but did they say what's causing all of?

Speaker 25 (02:03:40):
Overheated, yeah they said that something pretty bad, happened but
the dealership had just covered it up somehow BECAUSE i
was able to drive it off the.
Speaker 5 (02:03:51):

Up what? Did what do you think they did to cover.
Speaker 4 (02:04:00):
It off.
Speaker 25 (02:04:04):
Because two days AFTER i started driving, it the check
engine light came on and it threw codes For catholic
converter AND o two, censer and that's all THAT i
thought was wrong with. It SO i took it to
a shop when it just wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (02:04:16):
Work SO.
Speaker 25 (02:04:20):
I only drove it total four. TIMES i bought it In,

Speaker 4 (02:04:28):
Care so.
Speaker 5 (02:04:31):

Speaker 4 (02:05:43):
Car, Okay, cheryl you do understand you bought a car
with one hundred and twelve thousand miles on.
Speaker 7 (02:05:50):
It Right send me the paperwork you, Have, cheryl and
we'll tell you how to get. That, now reach out
and talk to them and see what they have to.
SAY i, mean it's out of their character to call you.
NAMES i just never have heard. That and the birk
And cotters have been around my, god thirty.
Speaker 4 (02:06:07):
YEARS i, KNOW i know.
Speaker 25 (02:06:09):
It, yeah my dad knows the owner and everything like,
that and he said it was. Weird but it's not
even them because they're not even in that. Location they
spend majority of their time In Castle. Rock but it
was whoever they have for their manager at that location In.
BRIGHTON i don't know what HIS i can.
Speaker 7 (02:06:26):
It's all, Right i'll get it over to the right
people to look. At but Where tom was going, is
understand those. WRX'S a lot of kids soup those up
and drive the hell out of, them drive them to
the wheels fall, off and someone ends up buying, them
and basically you blow the top end or bottom end on.
THEM i, mean it happens all the. TIME i don't
think they set you up for. FAILURE i don't think
(02:06:47):
they knew the engine was going to. Blow there's nothing
in a CAN i can put in a vehicle that's
going to allow it to drive for three or four
days then blow.
Speaker 4 (02:06:56):
Up, yeah that's the. THING i don't know how they.
WOULD i don't know how they would have ever kind
of done, that you know What i'm saying to where
it would it would cover it. UP i don't know
how they would have done.
Speaker 25 (02:07:09):
That and the situation is too as they had the
mechanic that was interested in buying, it he was driving,
it and then he couldn't afford to put as as
much down as they wanted him to put down on,
it so he decided he didn't want.
Speaker 5 (02:07:22):
It but what does, that what does that have to
do with? Anything? YEAH i don't understand that he.
Speaker 25 (02:07:28):
WAS i don't know if he was driving. IT i don't.
KNOW i just drive. IT i don't drive like a crazy.
Speaker 5 (02:07:33):
Person, OH i don't think you. Do i'm just, saying
whoever owned it before probably.
Speaker 6 (02:07:38):
Did.
Speaker 25 (02:07:40):
Yeah i'm just at a loss because you, KNOW i
spent so much out of pocket AND i didn't know how.
Speaker 4 (02:07:45):
Much did You how much did you spend on? It
by the, WAY i.
Speaker 25 (02:07:49):
Paid twelve thy five hundred for.
Speaker 6 (02:07:51):
It?
Speaker 5 (02:07:52):
Wow.
Speaker 25 (02:07:53):
Wow AND i don't have anybody around to help me
out with, anything you, know like going with me to
go get a vehicle or like.
Speaker 7 (02:08:00):
That, yeah get me that info over And i'll get
it over to the right people to look. At i'm
not promising, anything BUT i definitely want you to. UNDERSTAND
i don't think they would do anything. Malicious they just
haven't in thirty years that we've ever got a call.
On i'm not saying they've never had a, problem BUT
i mean what you're talking about is, like you, know
(02:08:20):
selling you something that's not going to last two.
Speaker 5 (02:08:23):
Days, yeah it. Wouldn't it would. Not it wouldn't do
them any.
Speaker 4 (02:08:28):
GOOD i DON'T i think it might be, coincidental if,
anything but you, know there's a way to tell if
they covered things, Up, cheryl and that is you take
it to a place Like Sheridan Auto. Tech and what
they'll do is they'll run the codes and you can
see if they cleared out codes just before selling.
Speaker 7 (02:08:50):
It, yeah they can tell what the point of failure,
was what did. Happen, yeah but you can tell them
be able to find you a used engine for, it
depending on your. BUDGET i mean the guys over AT
sheri it didn't do it.
Speaker 4 (02:09:03):
All, yeah but what would be good is if they
ran the, codes they could see when you bought, it
and then they can see if codes were cleared and
and you, know LIKE i, said this sounds unusual to
me that they would cover something up to try to
just get over on.
Speaker 5 (02:09:22):
You it just doesn't sound characteristic of.
Speaker 4 (02:09:25):
Them three h three seven to one Three, tom go

Coming, now let's not take that, Lightly. Henry what you
mean by that is this is what they. Do they,
come they knock on your, door and here's what they.
Say they say a number of. Things one, is we're
from the insurance, company or we're inspecting roofs for. Insurance,
now if you think about, that they are inspecting roofs
(02:11:36):
for insurance for them so they can get the insurance.
Claim so they say couchy things like, that or they,
say by the, way.
Speaker 5 (02:11:44):
We're doing complimentary roof.
Speaker 4 (02:11:47):
Inspections and then the big deal is they want you
to sign. Something they push an iPad or a clipboard
in front of you and they want you to do, that.
Right they want you to do that so they can
show you the damages and get the. Job and, Then,
(02:12:09):
henry that's often accompanied by penalty.
Speaker 5 (02:12:13):
Clauses if you do that, right, yeah, absolutely you.
Speaker 26 (02:12:17):
Know and then especially if if a homeowner goes and
files a claim without absolutely knowing for sure that they have.
Damage they can get a claim on their, record and
we see a lot of, people especially after these major,
storms they get the insurance. Checker you, know, however insurance
is going these, days and they pay a contractor up
front and then they can get ripped off of thousands of.
(02:12:38):
Dollars we've heard one recently that the lady paid ten
thousand dollars to a contractor of an insurance settlement and
she never saw the money. Again and they left her
roof half tried, in so that means that half the
roof was.
Speaker 5 (02:12:50):
Installed, yeah so just say.
Speaker 4 (02:12:54):
No if they knock at your, door say, no then
you Call Accel. Roof i'm serious about, this and you, say,
listen send out a crew or send out an inspector
and they'll go out and look at your.
Speaker 5 (02:13:08):
Roof do not call your insurance. First do.
Speaker 4 (02:13:11):
Not you will get a ding on your record just for,
calling and it will count as a risk factor when
they are renewing. YOU i swear To, god do not do.
That and don't let some stranger at the door tell
you they're there for the insurance company or they're working
(02:13:34):
for insurance or they're independent, experts or they're doing complimentary.
Reviews don't do, it and don't sign anything at the door.
