Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now joining us on the Legacy Retirement Group dot Com.
Foe Mines, Jeremy Rosenthal, Dallas A turn A, News of
the Day, and and Jeremy, you've got a few things
we can talk. I saw your story headlines and one
of which was the Dems seizing on the Epstein file?
Are we calling Republicans Dems these days? Because I'll tell

(00:20):
you what, the Epstein files seems to be kind of
a universal bone of contention for people.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
That's right. I think everybody wants to see these Epstein files.
Everybody wants to see if their X is on there,
or their boss or anybody. But yeah, this is like
a this is like a rash that won't go away.
But yeah, the Dems are are They're pressing on this button.
So we'll see if they get anywhere. I don't know

(00:47):
that they will, but no, this is the gift that
keeps on giving.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I can forget BONDI for you know, her running her
mouth on Fox and I got piles of stuff on
my desk. Okay, so she wasn't succinct. I can get that.
I can even get past Donald Trump with why are
you even talking about this guy? We're talking about Israel,
we're talking about Ukraine. Why do you even bringing that.
I can get past that. What I can get past
is the anticipation level that Americans have had for what

(01:13):
two years now, that we have been waiting for this stuff.
Even if there's nothing in there, wouldn't it just make
practical sense to just put it out there and go, look,
it's a bunch of nothing, but at least show people.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
That that's there. Lies the fifty million, five hundred million
dollar question. This is this is Heraldo's files. You remember
Heraldo's files. We had a big show and we were
there's a big drum roll, and we're going to see
what's what's uh? What was in there? I think it
was al Capone's vault, right, and they opened the thing
and it's a big bag of them. So yeah, look yeah,

(01:48):
And if you were to talk to Democrats, I think
they would tell you that they thought that this was
a little fantastic years ago and that they didn't really
see anything there. And I think that this is just
kinda this is kind of your sibling saying oh we
think it hurts right here, Well let's do that so
now legally, legally, because I'm a lawyer, I'm told making

(02:11):
this a legal segment. What what's their legal avenue to
get this? Well, you can try to have Congress subpoena
at there's all sorts of authority that you have when
you're a congressman to subpoena people and documents. You can try.
It's a very broad power that you have, but it's

(02:32):
equally broad to protect it because it's law enforcement and
the Department of Justice doesn't have to give you that.
They don't have to give you luigim Angioni's file while
while he's actively being prosecuted. They don't have to give
you any any of those things. So well, this is
it's political. Then this is just political maneuvering.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
But yes, I think.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
If Pam Bondi had had had had to take that
statement back, I think she would.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, at the end of the legalities of the whole thing,
You're right, Congress could subpoena However, I doubt that they will,
And the optics are going to be terrible there too.
If you vote against subpoenaing and making those files public,
people are going to assume you are on there're there's
something you're hiding, and that's this is really turning into
a no win. It really is for both sides of

(03:23):
the aisle. I want to talk to you about this.
The internet is from a legal perspective. I mean, as
a lawyer, would you tell everybody just stay off the
web because it will hurt you? People have We had
the guy that killed his wife and said he didn't
do it, but his Apple watch that he did and
all this kind of stuff. You've got another very similar

(03:45):
story with a dentist and it looks like he is
playing on the web is working against him and this
trial out poisoning his wife.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Right, Doctor James Craig, an orthodonist from Colorado is a
good criminal, not a great criminal.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
He had some secret emails. So so my understanding was,
and this is a man who is accused of killing
his wife. He's accused of poisoning her, and he's accused
of of having all sorts of searches like what are
undetectable uh poisons? And how can I how can I
get away with this? Uh? But he had a he
had a secret email account and he would only access it,

(04:24):
I think from one booth at his dental practice. And
then he gets potassium cyanide shipped to his dental to
his dental practice and his and this is the real
trick here. His his partner was not very happy because
he's the one that called him in and said, you know, yeah,
I don't know why we're getting potassium cyanide here. I
don't I don't know that we've ever really used that

(04:45):
around here. But yeah, yeah, you know you got If
you're gonna do it, you gotta be a little bit
better than this.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yeah, potassium cyanides kind of a giveaway. And plus his
wife was drinking protein shakes. I've had some protein shakes.
If you want to hurt them, just let them drink
the protein shakes eventually. My gosh, those things are nasty. Ah, right,
But the idea that you would do this on the
web from your office and in order something to your

(05:12):
office that is obviously meant to deal harm to somebody.
I just this guy is either you know, stupid or
desperate one or the other. And I don't see him
walking away from this one.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
It just makes you wonder, if this is what's happening,
how hard can dental school really be if this guy can,
if this guy can do it, Yeah, so I'm with you. Yeah,
rookie mistakes amateur amateur hour and he's gonna he's gonna
get to be in the joint, where, by the way,
he also plotted to have the lead detective killed, which

(05:48):
that that's not something you really want to do either
while you're in the joint.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Graduated second in his class of two people from the
Barbados Orthodonics Institute. It yeah, not not high on the
academic scales. There, last, but not least, I love this
story just because it's positive and stupid at the same time.
Pizza delivery and in Tempe, Arizona. I'm not sure I

(06:13):
understand the motivation of the police officers, but the readers
digest version. They arrested the driver right.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right right right, door Dash driver, which door Dash is
probably kind of like, thank you very much for this.
The arrest of the DoorDash driver for driving pretty aggressively
reckless driving, I think in evading. They arrested, but they
get the pizza, and they deliver the pizza or the
pizza that we know about, so yeah, so, and they

(06:42):
make it. They make a nice little viral thing with it.
So that was that was a very nice feel good
moment for everybody except Door dash and the driver.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
The pizza was probably cold by the time we got there,
but it did get there and it.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Does right, the one that we know about, right, Yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
What what was?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
What?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Was he arrested for? Just aggressive driving? Was there an
actual charge?

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah? I think he was arrested for reckless driving, which
is in Texas, uh where where I am. Reckless is
a little more than speeding. It's like we're going to
kill somebody bad.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
And I believe evading arrest when when they got him,
because I'm sure he would say, look, I'm this was
you guys even understand how important this this one pizza
was right, Not all heroes wear caves.
