Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm not good at quoting famous lines in movies or
lines from famous speeches, but let me see if I
can get this quote straight. You can't keep peeing on
my shoes and telling me it's raining. Crime is down,
crime is down. Right. We've not only been saying something

(00:20):
was wrong. We did our own research and knew something
was wrong every time these idiot politicians stood before us
and lo and behold, low and behold. It wasn't rain
on my shoe after all. On Target is next. Good afternoon,
Welcome to on Target broadcasting live from the studios of

(00:41):
LPD firearm Arms and Range and Training Facility were located
at nine ninety nine at Bethel Road. I apologize for
putting the show in the gut, right I was? That
was very chuck like.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
How does low? I mean? I know how to behold?
You said low and behold? How do you low? What
do you do to low it?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Do you have to wait?

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Low and behod go together?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I say you lower set.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
They're matching set, But I don't know how to low.
If you told me, hey, Chuck, behold these people sitting
out here in the audience, I can behold them, But
how do I loathe them. I don't know how to do.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
You have to lo and behold chuck one the same.
You can't do one with that the other.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Maybe for your the word should be loath.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Well in many cases, but not this case.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So I mean, I guess I don't get so since
twenty thirteen lies they so, John, I think they missed
what one or two things?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
I mean, my my favorite one that started out with
uh in the uh in the report wash. You know
this came from the Columbus Deputy chief of Police, Tim Myers.
He goes, you know, when you start looking under every rock,
you're you're going to find a few bugs. I mean,
so if you turn over rock, how many bugs do
you think you'd find? Yeah, mean a couple, right, one?

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Two?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
How about one hundred and fifty thousand?

Speaker 6 (01:54):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Does that sound like a few bugs or that's all
like an infestation? And that is what.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
They found over ten years.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
They just forgot to report.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
One hundred and fifty thousand crimes.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
This is the Columbus were the city of Columbus, City
of Cole other cities are out there. And by golly, Chuck,
I sound more and more like you. By golly, these
politicians they stand up in front of John and crime
is down under my watch. Crime is down under my watch.
And we said, well, wait a second. The FBI uniform
crime report says this, and that's not what it says

(02:30):
on them.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
This is where I'm going to credit the department and
credit believe it or not, the Chief of Police, because
I guarantee you Andy is not happy about this information
coming out as blatantly as it has in the last
twenty four hours. So this was a decision we If
we have new chief of police in six months, I
won't be surprised because I doubt very seriously after telling

(02:52):
us crime is down and quit worrying and quit griping,
I doubt very seriously that the people at city Hall
wanted this information out there.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Do you think they knew it? Do you think they
knew or do you think this is just this ignorant.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
We know it. We're looking around. If you're paying attention
to the city you're supposed to be running, you probably
should know that crime was not down. You see it,
you It doesn't take a genius to see that crime
was not down.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And chuck even further beyond that, we go through the
FBI uniform crime Report, And we just did this a
month ago, and you can pull it up by city
and you looked at twenty twenty three and it says,
and I don't remember exact numbers, it says, you know,
Columbus had one hundred homicides in twenty twenty three. And
I said, well, that's that's not right. But that's what

(03:38):
got reported. So you you know, that's what we saw,
let alone everything we didn't see, I mean, and then
it gets regurgitated.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Every media source quotes those same numbers. So it's on television,
it's in what's left of the newspaper, it's on the radio.
We had this many homicides. No we did not, No,
we did not, but that's it's out there.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
How many rapes jac this is?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I mean, so these are serious crimes.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
I mean they said maybe seventy seven thousand weren't quite
that serious, but they had eighteen murders that they forgot
to count. And the thing but rapes for women, be
sad to know that almost twenty four hundred rapes they
forgot to report, over twenty one hundred robberies, over almost

(04:23):
forty nine hundred aggravated assaults, like what.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
We forgot to report.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Does that had a big deal about seventy five hundred
burglaries over nineteen thousand larcenies and thefts, but six thousand,
almost six thousand.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Car thefts thirteen less than.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
If we operated our business forget like these entities operate
the government, we would be out of it. We'd have
been out of business twenty fourteen. Craziness.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Well before the election, we talked about that, were like
David Muir on the Big News Channel saying, hey, under Biden,
crime bottom crime was down to you know, point one
percent down.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Well, oh guess what.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
The FBI was fiddled with statistics and it turns out
there was up six point five percent.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Craziness. So, guys, we are the owners of LPD Firearm
Dreams and Training for Interactive in Law Enforcement. But for
one hour on Saturday, as we put together a group
of firearm experts to discuss new products in the market,
training tips, and oftentimes political topics surrounding the Second Amendment.
Our commitment that has always been to bring you facts
about our industry, help customers and listeners with safe, responsible
ownership of firearms. Can I tell you two hours last week? Chuck,

(05:32):
did you know two hours.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
We were on last week. We found out fifteen minutes beforehand,
but yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Well we knew it about thirty minutes beforehand a little bit,
but it was good of it. Yeah, it was good.
We did good. Thanks to Dave de Villers and Brian
Steele for calling in being a part of that. It
was good. Today we're gonna get to some news with
JC and let's say, what else are we going to?
What twelve thirty? Guys, it's you know, this is one

(05:56):
of my favorite shows. We always do. We do it
a couple of times a year, talk about holsters and
holsters specifically for winter time. Carry So now it's the
winner's coming along. You have a code on does your
holster change? Chuck?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I would like it too. I just haven't found anything
I want to change to you yet.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Well, I right here in front of us. We have
a lot of different options, and so we look forward
to that discussion at twelve thirty. It's always good. We
have new stuff. And you know, I went back through
shows from past years. Some of the stuff that we
were big on three, four or five years ago, we
don't even stalk anymore. That just tells you how much
these things change. And it's funny. We got in a

(06:32):
state sale and a couple of weeks ago, and along
with that was two milk crates full holsters. You know,
we all have them. We all have those things. So
we're going to get to that discussion coming up shortly.
And I would like to think our sponsors, as always
US law Shield saw them here today, Jackson, Egress, Windows,
Black Wings, Shooting Center, River's Edge, Cutlery, CNS Engraving, which

(06:53):
I visited this week. They're going to jump on with this,
I think next week talk about some of the last
minute Christmas ideas that they are doing. We're at CNS,
of course, l e PD Training facility, all who make
the show possible each week.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Eric, you're talking about people hopping on.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
We do have a caller if you have time here.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Uh well, we weren't planning on taking calls at this point. Ella,
is that can I.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Would recommend taking this one.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I we should take this one. Yeah, all right, let
me let me jac We're going to put the news
off for a second. Okay, go ahead and put them
through their l HI. You're on with on target?

Speaker 7 (07:35):
Are you doing?

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Oh my Santa? Is that you?

Speaker 7 (07:40):
It is calling from the rod Pole.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Santa, we didn't think we were going to talk to
you this year, that your people were saying that you're
short on l I mean not short elves, but you're
short on elves, and that you were having to do
some of the work yourself.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
Well, you know, I had hard couldn't come to work.
You want to work from home anymore? Yea to the
shop to fix the toys, make the toys, but they
don't would have worked from home.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
What we're seeing that same thing down here.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
It's hard to get good help anymore.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
I know I have.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I mean, it's it's been We never cut up to
you during the summer. Has it been a good year
for you?

Speaker 7 (08:19):
It's been real nice, a little warm up here, but
it's good.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
That's good. Yeah, that's good to hear. I don't hate
to touch on politics and stuff, but this year has
been a lot of politics. Did you get a chance
to mail your absentee ballot in from up there?

Speaker 7 (08:34):
Absolutely? I'm sorry. Happy trump'son gonna be back on office again. Oh,
you are a lot of good.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Changes, good good good. Does that affect how you deliver
gifts or anything just.

Speaker 7 (08:48):
To certain people?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Whatever you do this year, Santa, do not, I repeat,
do not get Hunter a laptop.

Speaker 7 (09:00):
He's definitely on the noise list. No firearms, no laptops.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, he got his big gift last week.

Speaker 7 (09:10):
I think, Yes, he did so daddy.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yes, thank to his daddy. Associate to what are some
of the most popular toys this year that you're seeing
or having been asked for.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
Oh, there's you know, they're bringing back the g I
Joe and the Barbie dolls, and there's been a lot
of kids wanting those nowadays. And then for the adults,
they've got the brand new guns that are coming out,
and I think I have my foot in the door
for a new one myself at a three fifty legend.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Oh yes, yes, yeah, you know we might be able
to help you with that.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
Well, I'm definitely gonna see you for AMMO in practice.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yes, yes, anyone on the Natty list this year that stands.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
Out Papa as usual.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Really, you know, every time I see him, he's doing
something good for.

Speaker 7 (10:05):
Someone, has done any good for me, keep sending me
text messages, bothered me all the time when I got
work to do.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah, yeah, I do see that and stuff. I hate
to even ask Santa because I mean this is not
scripted whatsoever. But where am I this year? I like
to you know, I've been wondering.

Speaker 7 (10:35):
Oh, you're at the top of the list is always
you and your lovely wife.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Wait wait which list?

Speaker 7 (10:41):
I'm not telling.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Well, and I know you're super busy. I don't want
to hold you up anything.

Speaker 7 (10:50):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
You know, we always ask any request that you have
a people leaving treat for you. This year, you're still
on that bourbon kick or.

Speaker 7 (10:57):
Oh look at bourbon and then a little bit there
and the sugar cookies. Oh I died to die for
all right?

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Great, well we we I mean surprise you call in.
We were really didn't think we were going to get
to talk to you this year.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
It is busy up here, but I always have time
to talk to my good friends are at l EPD.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Great.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Great. Will you be safe this holiday season and we
look forward to seeing you up in the sky here.
And it's just a little over a week.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Flish off you fly the drones?

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Yeah, above the drones, good, above the drones. Yeah, watch
those drones.

Speaker 7 (11:32):
You gotta watch out for them over there in New
Jersey especially.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Yes, that's what we're hearing.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Shank your phone, I think is sending you a text
right now.

Speaker 7 (11:41):
That doesn't surprise me.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
All right, Santa will say hi to the l's and
to missus Claws and uh, let's try to catch up springtime.

Speaker 7 (11:50):
We'll do all right, all right, Christmas, Jewel.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Christmas, Santa. You know what I did, Ella, Thanks for
putting that through. You are right? That was one worth taking.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Yeah, sure was Ella, Ella.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
You're welcome in.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I don't know where you go from there, John, you know,
maybe we just played christ music the rest of the day.
There you go, there you go. All right, Well, let's
do this. Let's jump to a break Jaycon. When we
come back, we'll talk about some news and keep the
show going. Twelve thirty talk a little bit about holsters.
We're on Target broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD
Firearms Arrange. We'll be back right after the break.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
I like to add lib.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Phil, sorry about that, big Ed. I I kind of
sit you in for a failure because I had this
written up for me. I was gonna say they said
a mix of sun and clouds today, What when is
it never a mix of sun and clouds. It's always
a mix of always a mix of sun and clouds,
always is that, guys.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
And there are still clouds.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Off I mean there's still even if you can't see him,
all right, I mean, even if there's a blue blue blue,
there's there's still some clouds somewhere.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Welcome back to on target ed. Welcome in Glad you
could get out of the stand today.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
It took a little while, you know.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
This show, oh starts at noon.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
You know, I can't always be on time.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
I try, all right. I don't liberate around the corner
like some people.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Did you get you don't nothing, really, I didn't even.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
See one to shoot.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Again, you gotta remember, I don't shoot just any deer.
I gotta have.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
You got to get the good I know.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Well, let's go JC to some news. I know there's
some important stuff out there to get to.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Yeah, there is, and there's a lot of it actually.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
But you know, one thing that we have to be
thankful for our president elect, you know, is under the
protection of the Secret Service. They seem to have dropped
the ball in Pennsylvania if I remember right. Uh, but
at least when at the golf course, Uh, the would
be assassin was taken care of by the Secret Service.

(13:44):
And we're good that they I'm glad that they have
all that training that they.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
They get to a lot of training JAS, so they
go through a lot of training.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
But the report just came out this week, one hundred
and eighty page UH from the House of Representatives Assassination
Tax Force. And it turns out that the Secret Service
agent who fired at the UH at the would be assassin.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Was five feet away and he fired.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
At the assassin, but he missed in the first shot,
and the second, and the third, and the fourth and
the fifth. Six times he fired from five feet away
and the guy got up and ran away six five
feet away times from five feet away.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
You should have just spit on him or something got something.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
In his eyes.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
Seriously, this was on Yeah, this they made a big
deal about this on Fox News, and this is who's protecting?

Speaker 3 (14:40):
How?

Speaker 2 (14:40):
How good for that assassin? Are you if you let
the Secret Service guy get within five feet have you
to begin with?

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Well that's what I think, are exchange something like that?

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Who knows?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Obviously didn't matter.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
That is in the report.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
So aren't you glad you have Secret Service protection?

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Five?

Speaker 5 (14:58):
No wonder, he's no wonder. He's in mar Lago. Oh
least he's safe there. I tell you, this is crazy,
all right.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
So that's a secret service. I know they've gone downhill
a little bit, but that's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Training is a secret.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
There's I've never been a fan of six hour.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
I know the P three twenty feels good, but there's
some news about that. It's been the six hours been
losing some lawsuits. In June of twenty twenty four this year,
a federal jury and Georgia awarded a Robert Lang two
point three five million dollars in damages. The jury found
that SIG was liable for selling a defective pistol and

(15:35):
for failing to warn consumers. He was shot in his
holstered P three twenty without ever touching the trigger. It
went off and he had some permanent damage, and they
claim it SIG failed to warn customers about the risk
of unintentional discharge. Okay, so that was in June. Well,

(15:56):
in November twentieth, not too long ago, a Philadelphia jury
just awarded eleven million dollars in damages to a US
Army vet, George Abrahams, who was shot by his own
SIG sour P three to twenty pistol while it was
in his holster without him touching the gun, and that
jury also found Sig Sour defectively designed the P three twenty,

(16:20):
was negligent, was negligent and selling the gun, and showed
recklessness in the distribution of the of the pistol. So
that was a three week trial. Well a couple days
later in December fourth, that was not long ago. Also
in Philadelphia, also right after the eleven million dollar damages,

(16:40):
a wrongful death long lawsuit was just filed in Philadelphia
Court of Common Please after a forty one year old
Roman Nisi was killed last month by his holstered sig
Sour P.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Three twenty.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
He was walking down the stairs and his gun went off.
He was shot in the in the in the right
into his groin, severed some arteries and died there on
the on the spot. So this is the attorney who
was handling the case said that there have been and

(17:19):
the quote was they alleged that there were hundreds of
other P three twenties that have discharged and injured active
duty law enforcement personnel and civilian owners. So this is like,
I mean, we've talked about this before. I knew they
were over one hundred and twenty nine at one time.
Now apparently there are hundreds. I was just doing some

(17:41):
you know, like looking at the research and outside of
the manual safety that they have on the seventeen, which
is the military's version of the of the of the
three twenty. But there's other than that, there's no other differences.
I really spent about an hour last night looking, hey,
what have they done? Have they've done anything anything? But
there's no internal safety on the on the P three, So.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Well, what about the design between that and every other
SIG pistol manufacturer? What did they do wrong? Because it's exclusively.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Things are different.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
One thing about this one is the fact that the
the guts of it, the control of the fire control
center can come out of it. So that's what serialized
you can get. Well you matter fact we have on
the table though we have different grips that you can get, small, large,
whatever you want. You just the serialized part of it
is inside the gun. You pull it out, pick up
the new grips, stick it down in. So that part

(18:30):
is is different. Not very many guns have that part
on it. But I just want to you know, I
don't don't know what's going to happen. But that's a
that's a news story.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
We have.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
I had another good Oh yeah, Now two states are
suing Glock over allowing them to produce a gun that's
easily converted into a machine gun. So New Jersey Minnesota
just this just this week, on a matter of fact,
on Thursday, filed a lawsuit against the manufacturers and they
want them to suspend the sale of glocks because they

(19:08):
can be easily converted to fall automatic fire within an
illegal switch.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
So I love it.

Speaker 5 (19:14):
But they're even saying, well, Block directly benefits from increased
sales because the bad guys know you can easily do this.
Therefore we should sue Glock for manufacturing it, and we
sub ceased the sale of glocks. And this is what
the Attorney general for New Jersey in the attorney general
for Minnesota, plus thirteen other states attorney generals.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
So as typical, don't go after the bad guy committing
the crime, Let's go after the me. Why don't we
go after Ford because I've seen some fordes JC involved
in DUIs where people got hurt.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Well, and even on that the six hour one, they
also one of the cases they done the wrong for
death casey also sued the FFL who the gun, knowing
that the stuff is out there.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
So yeah, that's kind of crazy, that's kind of crazy.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
New Jersey needs to get out of there. They need
those glocks to shoot down the drones, so they don't
they don't want to get rid of them.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Well that's true. Yeah, Actually a full blown might be
the way.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
You know, milk can be easily poisoned, but we don't.
We don't ban milk. There's so many things that could
be that.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
You're right, that's just crazy.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Block is not the problem. The dirt balls making and
utilizing the illegal block switch are the problem.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Any little reform in some of these loss.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
The last story that we have here, the break, there's worried.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
There's a lot of worry about the potential fallout from
the the CEO from United Healthcare who was killed because
of the what was used. The gun that was used
was a kind of a form of clock, but it
wasn't really a glock. It was a three D printed
firearm or the whole thing was printed. Also, the suppressor

(20:58):
was three D printed.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
And if you look at that videos, that's why a
lot of us.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
Thought it was a single shot gun because because the
video shows he fired the gun and then he looked
like he was pulling out for one individual round, and
a lot of us thought it was one of those
TNT Station six suppressed guns. But the three D suppressor
apparently unless the suppressor has this Nielsen device in it,

(21:24):
They said, just the extra weight when it's screwed on
to the slide prevents the barrel from tilting up and unlocking,
because on most of the firearms, as the slide comes
back on the locked breach, that barrel tilts down to
allow it to So if it doesn't do that, then
you have to load one each each time. So they didn't.

(21:45):
They weren't certain when he made this illegal three D
suppressor that that was he did that intentionally just so
we could capture those sales that had the writing on it.
But the bottom line is now it's made all the news.
So here we are ready to try to get suppressors
being able to be sold like firearms where you can
do your background check here right at any FFL and

(22:09):
UH and get that process underway.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
And so now the dry by.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
The media out there is going to take this one
instance a matter of fact that the Mayor of New York
City said he's never seen a suppressor used in a
crime in all of his years in law enforcement in
New York City, but this is getting some attention. Also
three D printed guns, so now they're thinking that it's
going to be really an uphill battle even buying regulated

(22:36):
suppressors that you do get a background check for, so
that could have some repercussions. We'll just we'll just have
to see what goes well.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
And the thing too, I mean, all this time we're
three D printed, and we got to does it make
a difference. I mean, the guy's caught what okay, so
what if it was three D printed?

Speaker 3 (22:52):
So what?

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Okay, there's not there's no certainumer so it doesn't make
a difference and anything, it doesn't.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
But that's what you know.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Anyone the anti gun folks, that is everything they can do. Example,
and that last real quick story is in California. Yeah,
Gavin Neuvers past center Bill two, which raises the price
of getting your concealed carry license. As matter of fact,
to get one in Santa Barbara thirty one three hundred.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
To get your life now to get your concealed wow license.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Guys, let's jump to the botbole of the hour news.
When we get back on the other side, we're gonna
talk about holsters, roasters for winter time, Carrie, we want
to talk about badcasting live from the studio is of
LPED Farms arranged. We'll be back right after the break.
Welcome back to on Target, Chuck. Do you ever have
a show where you start to lose control and it's
just you never gain it.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Back every single one? Is it?

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yes, all right, it's kind of I feel like that.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Yeah, I've missed you guys. This is nice.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Yes, if we get ed to stop sneezing over there, guys,
Welcome back to on Target. I'm your Hysteric twenty. In
the LPED study, we actually got a full staff, finally
got the Facebook up and running. We have a big ed,
we got a little Chuck, We've got jc awsitting around
the table talking. We're gonna be talking holsters. I actually
like this, this conversation because there's so many neat things

(24:13):
out there, and obviously, being in the business, we're always
trying out new holsters and everything, so we wanted to
go through it, especially for wintertime. Carry typically a different
holster for the wintertime, oftentimes because you were in coats
and you have bigger clothes on, so you can carry
something a little bit bigger. But nowadays jac and I
were talking about this. You know, I don't know if

(24:33):
this conversation holds up as much as it used to
because one of my carry guns, which I think is
right here, I mean, it holds, you know, fifteen rounds
and am I gonna change from summer to winter when
a little you know, tiny gun. So but nonetheless, there
are different options out there, so we thought we'd go
through a couple of these, and we like to start

(24:55):
well for you know, one thing too. We always put
a mentioned out there for open carry versus concealed carry.
And I don't know, I don't see it as much
anymore with the open carry.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
I just did last night and it bugged you did
grocery at the grocery store over on the west side.
The guy's wearing car heart overall. Wait a minute, and
he was holster, but he was in the exterior pocket
and you're pushing a cart. You're in a dark parking
lot going there. It was right there. I do what
you were on the west side.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yes, I know not.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I'm surprised where somebody can just grab like that. I
just unless the bad guys know.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Exactly it's not tactically sound to do that. You don't
want the bad guy to know, first of all, that
that you have a gun right there and play in sight.
And you don't want them to know that you're the
good guy with the gun. I don't. I don't get
that you're.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Gonna grab your right hand or your left hand wherever
it is, to make sure you don't get to it.
That's going to be the first thing they do if
they come after.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
And here's the other thing too. We we always mentioned
about this, you know what we and we do. We
get suckered down this uh here at the store too sometimes,
but you know, and everyone gets the holester, so you can,
you know, access a real quick and everything in a
true situation out there, I don't think and Ed you
can chime into. Have you ever in an off duty
situation you're in plaine clothes, had to draw your fire quickly?

(26:11):
I mean, the threat is upon you. You hadn't you hadn't
identified it to this point, and all of a sudden
you have to draw it out. No, you have you
usually have an opportunity that something's going south. Uh, look
at these guys coming up here. Oh it's a road rage,
whatever the case may be. So don't get too hung
up on you know, I need to have you know,
fast drawl and stuff, because you know that's that's not

(26:34):
always you know.

Speaker 6 (26:36):
And even if the threat is on you right away,
I mean, it doesn't mean that you're not going to
have an opportunity to stand back, you know, make distance
between you and the subject, unless he's already got his
gun pointed at you, and then you better just listen.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Right, But you should have probably identified the threat before
that anyway. Ye, So if you're looking at holster, one
of the things we like to look at to delineate
is leather versus nylon versus kaidex. Not is darn near gone,
jac I don't. I don't see hardly any nylon holsters anymore.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Well, only in the really inexpensive kind of you know,
like the bag as I call them, and yeah, stuff
that you wear to the range where you're.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Right the old black hogs with the strap over it.
So that's really not in the conversation. And unfortunately leather
isn't as much in the conversation as it used to be.
I still like a good leather holster.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Well, they're great.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
You have to replace them a lot more often, not
that I mean, I think they say you can get
about three years out of if you wear them regularly,
about three years and then they kind of loosen up
and and uh. But but they're quiet and they're easy
on your gun and comfortable, and yeah, there's a lot
of stuff going on for them, although there's some new
polymers that are out there. I guess it's one of

(27:48):
my favorite ones where it's you know, pretty pretty flexible
as far as ah. This is the slim tuk from Desanis.
It's one of my favorites because it's slim, it's impede
expros on its own easily and adjust on the on
the cant or the rake whichever.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
And so that one is is really considered. So if
you're if you do do a leather winding, we recommend
you know, you gotta keep your little oil in your gun.
Make sure you don't have it sitting in that leather
holster for a long period of time and getting rust on.
Especially winter minds you might get caught in the snow
a little bit moisture out there. But the Kaitex is
really kind of king now and I've you know, I've

(28:23):
went to it. And one of the things that used
to be an argument was, oh, these kiing that it's
a hard plastic, it's gonna it's gonna rough up your gun,
it's gonna wear the finish. That's not the case at all.
Matter of fact, I think the leather has been shown
to show more holster wear on your firearms than the Kaidex.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah you can.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Uh, I just want quiet, that's all I care about.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
Some of the some of the holsters that we have,
like this one that it's kind of this combination. They
have a waterproof leather on the inside, so it conforms
your body. I mean, let's face it, leather just like
your shoes. You put them on, eventually they just feel
really comfortable.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Same with the holster.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Kaitexes does not break in per se. So this particular
one has a waterproof leather that kind of goes take
it out.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Of the back.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
I guess I should do that.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Well then now it's not waterproofs Okay.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
There you go, so even coming.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
But it's got a kaitakx kaex actual holster part that
it's attached to. This This has been really popular with
your people who carry them regularly.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, I do have one of these, and so and
the thing with the KAYDEKX you start to talk about
the retention. So a lot of times in and this
is not every time, but a lot of times in
winter carry you've gone from an inside the waistband to
you can to go to it and outside the waistband.
So the retention on that and the retention on these
these kayaks, there's it's good. These days. A lot of

(29:46):
them have a retention screw and you can adjust that retention.
If you look here, uh, chuck, you can see I
mean that snap in there is a definite snap. I
wouldn't personally buy an open top holster with no retention
like the old leather ones anymore and wear it out
in public. I don't. I mean you reach for something

(30:06):
you're on the ground or something. It's hesitant to fly out, right.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
They say, if you have a leather holster, turn it
upside down, shake it about three times, it falls out. Uh,
then you time to get that replaced.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Because I bought something fall on the ground, your gun
slide out?

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Yeah, it was for the forty five. It's an outside
the waistband and it's got a nice trigger face, right,
we have to push to yes. I like that a lot,
especially with that big gun and.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
And Chuck you're you're onto something. So Chuck is mentioning
the ones with a little more retention. So some of
the most basics of the kay Deeks, like some of
the ones I wear around this store, they are they
have the retention in the trigger. So there's a definite
click that when it goes in and it's good, I mean,
but someone still could pull that from you.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
For those listening, that just means it's heated and it's
depressed slightly. So when the when the kayak sets, it
fits into the trigger guard slightly, and and that's the
resistance you have when pulling it out, and it does seem.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
To go away or loosen up.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
One of the most popular ones who at the store
are the safari Land and the Safarilian is kind of
neat because it used to be Safariland. You would only
think of duty holsters at right, I mean a Safarilian
holsters your duty holster, but they I think merged or
purchased Bianchi you know, number of years ago. And so
there's a lot of holsters out there for concealed carry
holders and one of my favorite it's their line, their

(31:23):
profit line, where we probably have five or six different ones,
but they fit a ton of different guns and you
put them in. There's a set screw on it and
you can conform it right to your particular gun and
to your point, Chuck. It has like an active retention,
so you actually have to depress it to get the
gun out, which is a great from a security standpoint.

(31:45):
It looks from an outside outsider looking in, it looks
like just an open top, but there is a retention.
We love them. And they come with a paddle, and
that's that's another consideration. A paddle holster and a belt holster.
Paddle holsters are great for one if you're not worrying
about and the other thing is easy on and off.

(32:05):
I mean you can take it easy.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Like police officers love it when they go to court
because they can just grab everything again right, pull it
out without to take off your belt on.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Your I really really like this just that it's all
one motion once you go, there's no extra step, there's
no half second laws or anything. It's great and it
I don't know, it's just more security with a big,
heavy gun. I like it.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Yeah, it is. It is when you're also looking at
the outside of the waistband holsters. We always recommend, even
on the smaller gun, something that has at least a
couple uh straps or a couple of clips to it,
or you know, to attachment points. Rather if you if
you have one attachment point at a tend to you though
you might have the gun tight, they tend to wobble

(32:47):
a little bit on that whords, if it's two, gives
you a little bit moretility.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Yeah, it keeps it, keeps it where you want it
to be. When you reach for it, you know what's there.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
The other thing, too, guys, is when you look at
the ease of taking it on and off. The paddle
certainly allows you to take it on and off easy.
But our friends over at three Eye Holsters, they were
here a couple of weeks ago. Their holsters now can
come with the clip like this, and if you're watching
on Facebook you can check it out. It's almost looks
like a traditional belt clip that has a cut at

(33:20):
the bottom, and you can put this this holster on
and off really easily without having be a paddle. It
goes to the belt goes right to the belt, right
to the belt.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
It's outside.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Yeah, but you are so right how things have changed.
Like you said, why do you carry a bigger gun
usually because it held more ammo. Now you can get
these little skinny things holding thirteen rounds and more. And
so you're right about that. It's just the access and winter.
You have to realize, Hey, now you've got pollar tech on,

(33:53):
you got a jacket, you've got you know you you
you have to really consider this because when you carry
you have time.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
To unsaf your jacket, pull up your polar tech, get.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Under your sho I mean there's just a lot of
stuff going on there if you're carrying inside bispan. So
you really have to determine that. Want to get a
good holster, come in here, bring it, Bring a clothes
that you're going to be wearing. Make sure you can
have access to it.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
And one of the things we talk about every year
kind of a PSA is if you have a coat
on that has that drawstring. Unfortunately, there's been many a
case is those guys were good there, uh, safe and
unloaded and it gets stuck on the string. I mean,
you you hear situations where they go to put there
to reholster their firearm. That string is cut and now

(34:36):
with these new Striker fire guns, they invernently will push
down on it and fire the gun. And it happens.
It happens every year. Even though it's talked about, it's
important to make sure you really clear the opening for
the holster before you before you go and reholster it.
The other thing, too, is what do you guys like
to wear when you wear an outside the we span
holster JAC where do you have it at?

Speaker 3 (34:56):
What?

Speaker 1 (34:57):
What position on your body?

Speaker 5 (34:58):
It just depends on you. On your body, your flexibility.
Had a shoulder injury. So I can go back at
four o'clock, which is about what I carry. But if
I have to go back further than that, believe it
or not, I use a left handed holster. A lot
of people go what I tell people all the time
in the holster clouds we teach, I said, you know,
for those of you who are out there, you can't
see me if you're not on Facebook. But I can
get my hand back here right about here, but I

(35:20):
can't get any farther. If I have a left handed
holster on the other side, I can get my hand
all the way over to the side and draw so
if like I'm a bicycle and I have a fire here,
I cannot get to it with my right hand, but
with a left handed holster, I can reach over there.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
And draw it out so it get backside.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
The question from them is what well that is? That's
a great option alternative in the winter time shoulder rig
We don't get the calling for it like we used to.
And the unfortunate thing is the really good shoulder rigs
that are meant for the gun, that's the one you
really should be looking at. They're literally one hundred and
fifty five dollars, and we don't stop them because you

(36:02):
as you can imagine, you know, trying to stock every
combination and you throw lights and lasers on it and
everything else. So we don't stop them. We can get them.
But the DeSantis, the galco I mean, those are the
traditional shoulder holsters and you can wear those all day
long under a.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Coat, very comfortable coat.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Yeah yeah, what's the idiot factorating on those T shirts
advertising now that have the pouch of the side, you
know what, you can seal carry T shirt.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I've had those over the years. They still weigh it
down no matter what you do, you're still kind of like,
you know, sagging on the side. It's just I don't know, noe.
The belly bands I've had good luck with. Yeah, during
the summer.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
Yeah, if you're trying to access something with the coke.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
But to your point, too is alternatives. Ankle holsters still good.
He dad carries a gun on his ankle a lot
of the time. I mean, it's good. You have to.
You have to consider if you sit down and your
pants rise up a little bit, you might see it.
But they're not a bad thing. As long as your
your pants are wide enough at the bottom, right.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
And long, you can bend down there. So if I
carry my ancle host.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
I got a three legged stool I carry too, So yeah,
shut it down, look my leg up.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
And then well with dad wears this skinny jeans, there's
only one way to get to that gun, and it's
not pretty. Sorry about that visual, I think soundfixt. So
the other thing, there's always alternatives out there that kind
of come and go. This one, chuck, chuck, Look at this.
Do you think if you wore this on your belt,

(37:26):
people would know you had a gun in it?

Speaker 2 (37:29):
These days? I would think they'd probably speculate it.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
That's a binocular case, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
It's about the size of a binocular case. But these
are meant to be worn on your belt, and they
have a holster inside. I don't know. I mean I
guess to each his owner.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
You're so small now it's cases.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
I would that looks like too much.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Yeah, they would probably assume just because I'm carrying something
like this in twenty twenty four, there's a gun in.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
There, right, so or your geek, Oh, yeah, that's true.
And Chuck, I mean we have up here too. I
mean we've talked about.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
You know, it's not going to go with anything I wear.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
We I mean the ladies out there have it a
little bit harder because oftentimes they're not wearing a belt
that's meant to hold up a firearm. So it's the
age old question. How can they you know, how can
they carry and stuff? And Chuck, the purse is just
like I know, yours is brown, this one's black, but yeah,
mine's a little darker. Yes, But I mean the purses
are still a great option for for women who are

(38:24):
carrying concealed whether it be summertime or wintertime.

Speaker 5 (38:27):
And if you're worried about a lot of the ones
we carry actually have locks on them, little key lock
that you know.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
If you well, you're not there.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
You remember Angie Dickinson handwarmer.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Angie Dickinson is policewoman in the seventies with that big
luggage person. She's like looking for the thirty eight and
it's by the time she finds it. That was a
bad show, but I watched it every week.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
That's right, guys. Let's jump to a break.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
And we come Tony to see Angie.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Yeah, I wonder what when we come back, We're we
talk a little bit more about holsters. We're on talking
about badcasting life from the studios of LAPD Firearms arrange.
We'll be back right after the break. Does he know
what we pay by the minute?

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Did I take too long for that?

Speaker 2 (39:06):
It was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I mean that was like seventy seven dollars.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
I don't want to do it again.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Welcome back to on Time.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
How much for the spirit of Christmas?

Speaker 1 (39:16):
There, Eric, Welcome back to on target that we are
talking about holsters. We got a text from Papaul says,
don't forget the brawl holsters. We don't carry there's anymore
little of an issue with that, with the whole fitting
and stuff. But at the time they were popular.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
I think you should always have armed underwear. That's an
important thing.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Yes, well there actually there is yoga pants and stuff
with the.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Now, where are you gonna put a gun in yoga pants? No,
that can't be.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
I've seen it.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
That cannot be.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yea, No, all right, I'll send you some pictures so
jac you have something. You know, there's oftentimes you get
to a point and we have a lot of holsters here,
but there's you know, you get some that have a
light on the optic and most of them will take
an optic these days. But there's a great holster line
that we just picked up. Che Code if you haven't
heard of them, a very reputable holster manufacturer. We sell

(40:11):
some of their holsters here and they came out with
a generic culster that is just wonderful and the neat
thing about it. It comes in two sizes small, medium
and medium large, I believe, and they're a universal fit.
I mean, it's almost worth getting to have under your
you know, to have for that time when you you
can't find a holster to fit up both both at inside, outside,

(40:35):
left and right amby all in one holster, one package.
All you gotta do is charge.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Yeah, it just yeah, it just comes with the necessary screws.
But uh yeah, if it's like a like a pal
left right side also has belt.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
I mean look at that.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
I mean it was nice and tight. I can tell
that right.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
And that is just that is just a generic I
mean it's it's you know, a hit a universal fit hoster. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (41:07):
On the on the outside, I said, this fits over
one hundred and fifty different firearms.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
And we've sold products like this over the years, but
you had to buy, you had to choose inside, rates, outside,
the waistband and left and right, right handed, left and
right handed. This package has it all. It has all
the hardware in it to uh.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
To do that all.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
So it's nice.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Twenty nine ninety that's it.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Are they making guns too?

Speaker 1 (41:34):
I like this that I know.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
I got an email it was g G Force or
G Power or G such that I never heard of
before with a whole line of firearms. What is this?
Is this the next Kale Tak or something? Because I
never heard of them.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
I don't know. I don't think it's these guys.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
Yeah, They also make one difference than this, like this
one is there a tactical one and it says in
this particular when I'm holding it's up, it's ready for optics,
and it.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
Makes them very nice. Host We actually you just did
in order for an agency here that's.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
Ready for an optic most of.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
We can stock them. Yeah, yep, so yeah, so they
really need Gica definitely a great brand. We are starting
to stock them here along with the Santas and all
the other lines and stuff. But if you're in the
market for a holster and you're not quite sure the size,
or we have several guns you go between at home
and you want one size fits all, they're nice, nice all.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
We were talking during the break too. If you're going
to get a new hoster, go go look these belts too,
because I love those belts.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
I got to get a new one myself because I've
changed dimensions a bit. Yes, but I love those belts
because they're so easy to put on and off. You
might as well get the belt.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
And Chuck make a great point. You need to have
a good belt that is meant to hold up a firearm.
Ones we have that we absolutely love are the Blade
tech line where the ratcheting. They are wonderful. They come
in different colors and styles, but it is definitely worthwhile.
I actually have it on my Christmas list this year
because mine is seven years old. No, it's I still

(43:01):
wear it every day.

Speaker 6 (43:02):
I have one like that too. I got two of them, like, yeah,
I have one. It's it's kind of worn out as well,
like yours, so I bought a new one. And then
I also have the dress style one yep, that I
wear with my uniform.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
That's what I want to get. The dress bill.

Speaker 6 (43:14):
Really, they're very, very nice, and they I mean the
fact that there's dress whatever size you need. I mean
I've never even trimmed this when done, and it goes
almost all the way around my waist, so I'm kind
of like you, I'm moving backward in size, which is good. Yeah,
but it's still it holds up, especially for especially for

(43:34):
in the waistband.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
There you go, guys, uh wow, I can't believe the
