You must have been in the Lord.

There is a study that says daily showers might be
harming your skin.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Science says every two three days is enough.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
No, So this is why I say, science, you are fool,
because I know my I know myself, and I cannot wait.
No two three days a shower, y'all gonna be smelling
as through through the speakers of the radio right now,
if I did that, all right, But this is what
they're saying.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
This is what science is. Science.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Science is saying it strips away your natural oils and
skin needs, and it disrupts your skin microbine, well, the
good bacteria that protects you, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
What I'm saying. And it leads to dryness, irritation, and
even cracking. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Cocoa butter curious to the dryness, the irritation, and the cracking. Okay, okay,
And my natural oles stank, so I don't need no
natural ols. And even even from a spiritual level, okay.
In Psalms, it says, create me in pure heart, Lord,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Okay. That means be clean.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Dun't it okay, says it says, if we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just and will forgive us of
our sins up and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
But you know you know what purified mean clean?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
You talk?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Okay, So all I'm saying is, don't let science send
you off.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Lord.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
They got science out here telling you that you need
to watch her. But every two three days. Are they crazy?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
No cleanliness, it's next to what godliness?

But to WGCL Morning Show, all right, Zach, Chicago area
students from kindergarten to twelfth grade will ride free come
on CTA buses and trains August eighteenth. The program, in
partnership with butcher Boy Cooking Oils, is now in his
fifth year. More than one point three million free rides
have been provided since the program began at twenty eleven.

(03:29):
So that'll be dope, man. So ain't nobody got no
excuse to not get to school? And they could continue
to use reduce faares of seventy five cents on school
days between five thirty am and eight thirty pm during
the academic year. Now, outside those hours, elementary students ages
seven and eleven pay reduced faares of a dollar ten
for a bus and a dollar twenty five for a train,

(03:50):
while students ages twelve and oher pay the full fare
of two twenty five on buses and two fifty.

Today, talk about it.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Look here, man Zach, you're gonna start going to Vegas
a little bit more. Now. Wow, let me tell you why.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
UNO has found a new hall in casinos. Now, let
me slow you down right now. It's a social club.
They're testing it out to see how people play, and
there's a couple of different ways that you can play.
You can play on no golf, you gotta get the
lowest score by discarding the high value cards. On no teams,

(04:49):
where's two people playing against two people, and then I'll
Uno show them no mercy where you can, you can
draw fold somebody to death, keep going around and somebody
got to them car. Now they're seeing how this works
in the social club first, and maybe down the line
it could actually become a gambling game in words, gonna

(05:09):
flood casinos?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
You got no.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah, but we met us up. But we all got
our different interpretation.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
To place that.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Hey, listen, when you're going to a problem, yeah, but
when you going to a casino, you played by their rules.
You ain't.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
When you go to craps, you ain't playing.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
You play play us next spades.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Come on, come on, man, the gonna have Maidnopoly with
real money? Well you do that at the crib. Yeah,
but I'm taking no man. Listen, bro, you're gonna have
people out there. You wouldn't think me out there, yacht,
You're gonna be out there. Our mother cut you out.
Fact it when in ten thousand dollars playing on?

Speaker 1 (05:50):
No man, what you feel?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Something that we do all the time and when we
fights breakout over no they do?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Hey, man, coming.

Speaker 3 (05:58):

I like. But now I'm in court for it. We're
gonna talk about Leon's locker room. Skip, yo yo, g
sh oh, you need to know in sports.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I'm just here so I won't get found. It's inside
Leon's locker room on one of seven five g C.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
I exactly remember I told you last week begging the
Stallion took a picture posted it on I G but
there was a familiar face way in the background.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
That face turned out to be Klay Thompson, and Clay Thompson.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Took to his social media to say, yeah, you know,
ain't no ain't no hot girl summer for Shorty this year.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
With me, I'm gonna put the clamps on it now.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I'm gonna tell you Clay Thompson is a shooter on
the court and a shooter off the court because.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
He's been linked to some nice ones.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Okay, I mean remember he was dating to Jenna jenn
So Clay Clay, Clay got that game on and off
the court.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't know what it is, but Clay keep him.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Once well here's the thing that I'm worried about.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
He tame the style.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Now, Meganism is a hot girl, but no, he a
light skin.

Speaker 2 (07:26):

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Me that he can't take no style. You ain't be
always in his feelings. Wait, okay, man, oh man.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
So Gabriellella Zungia, the lady that's accusing Shannon Sharp of
you know, sexual assault, battery, and emotional distressings seeking fifty
million dollars. They had their first day in court July ninth,
and guess who didn't show up Tony Busby, her lawyer.

(08:11):
Oh wow, he did not show up till her court date.
Now I don't know if this I don't know if
he had something else to do. But Shannon Shops attorney
was there, and he requested a forty five day adjournment
to review the case progress. Wish to judge granted. So
the next here will be September third. And they said

(08:32):
they called the no show strange and detrimental to the
accuser's interest.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Did he send somebody else? That's the thing was like,
did he just not show absence.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Of Busby or any representative?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
So she didn't bring nobody from the law first.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
He was just there.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Oh wow, so I need my retainer back.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
So yeah, So they said the no show raises questions
about Buzzby's strategy and the accusers commitment to the case.
Was it a logistical oversight, a deliberate tactic, or sign
of internal issue? So I mean, you know you're showing
somebody for fifty million. I think I'm gonna have my
ducks in order. Yeah, man, so we'll see man. But
Shining Shop, I think has been playing this very well.

(09:12):
I ain't been speaking on it. It's really been out
of out of sight, out of mind to this right there.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
That's true. I didn't like how he started in the beginning.

And that's what's what Papa Can, the Jamaica artist, was
saying that Drake will come in, absorb your culture, use
it to make a hit album, but won't really give

Who this where you check it in? From?

Speaker 2 (22:05):
From two ninety, saying from two ninety, Now, what should
this woman do?

Speaker 5 (22:08):
I tell her she could have left him right what
he was at the boat, left him on the boat,
went backward. That's him on the boat because it was cool,
like you put it at a slide. When he was
got drunk, he said the boat was his. So dance
with another girl like this? What other girls? While I
was there talking about said I know what it is.
I'm not to show you what it is.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
You know what you know what you know, and I
love we appreciate your call. But I am waiting for
tox exact answer. I don't I don't even want to hear.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
I don't care. Thank you for calling. I love you,
We appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
A six six eighty five, one on seven five. Keep
hitting us up, but I win't on top that. Guys,
I'm checking out this up. Yes, sir, continue to hit
us up.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
It's GC I this where you check it in from Jessey.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
Yeah, she gotta know how play. I'm trying. I'm trying
to be together.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Oh well, they don't say all that, but they just
you know, it's just say he was wild enough.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Question he ain't wilding out let that man have his
fun game when y'all wake up in the morning. He
y'all fellows talk, Just put him.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Back in his place.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
But you gotta know how long they've been together to
have the same time, like you know how to.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Keep hend Like my type of woman, what's your name?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
We can have one all the time.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
We got.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Heard it here first, get off my line. Uh, ladies
and gentlemen, toxicsact I don't. I don't even have nothing
to say about it.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Where else is this supposed to happen? If there's a
saying called there's a time and a place for everything,
when is a better time for him to be drunk,
yell and dance with other women than on the boat?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
If it's a time and place for everything, what's the
better time? That actually makes sense. He wasn't that your
friends went, and it wasn't at church doing this. He
was at a boat during black seam, drunk, having a
good time. Now, if you if he didn't invite you
on the boat, you be mad, okay, So not only so,
he didn't have nothing to hide. Come on, come on now,

(24:20):
if he was sneaking and geeking, then it'd be different.
Boll It sounded like a prayer of the day. Now,
I'm just saying the fact that he was there on
the boat and you saw him having fun.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
It was the time and the place for that.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Now, what could she have done to counteract to her
feelings about him having fun?

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Okay, so when he danced on other woman, he was
supposed to get in front of him and pull him over,
and you dance with him and see if he come
to you, And then he would have.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Been over there with you. You know what I'm saying
in the corner, mad.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Oh, either that or bend it over unless somebody put
they swill a loaf on your back.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
And what's wrong with dancing?

Speaker 2 (24:55):
You know what I'm saying, what's wrong with dance?

Speaker 4 (24:56):
But what happened to that when people stepped the don't
necessarily stepped with the no show, you step up, You
dance with whoever you dance.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
That's all he was doing. I ain't see nothing wrong.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
I tell her she should have went and turk put
it up there and see what type of fish she
would have caught.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
Yeah, have a good a good time, and then I
made good time to get it happened when y'all got
home and you get man was having a good time
on the boat. It's a time and a place for
everything we have you.

Speaker 2 (25:24):

You're gonna get to go back and be like, yeah,
the women in this much money, that's crazy, these stories
and more men hit a with the WGCI dot com.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 6 (32:03):
Wait, come out.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
One seven five wgc shots number one for hip hop
and R and B. And we're gonna be sounding off today, Zach,
we're talking off, Mike Man. Chicago has been known to
have popping events, popping events every summer. Yes, but here's
my question, and I want to ask the people out
there Chicago, Northwest Indiana surrounding. If you listen to us

(32:29):
on the iHeart radio app, why is it when our
events that we have get big, they seem to go away.
Nobody in our communities want to support them. And and
the prime examples I'm gonna give is Civer Room Block
Party and High Park Summerfest, which were two main stays,

(32:49):
and you know the breofest.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
They were main stays. Civil Room Block Party was like
a family reunion every year.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
But then when it got to a certain size, people
like lines and to pay that to do this, And
I just want to know why, like why can't we
keep major festivals?

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Honestly, I don't.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
I don't know if it's us or the city, because
a lot of times I think the city seats to
success and they see the people and they try to
get more money out of it, so they start raising
the prices of things. They got to be like you
got to have this much security, you gotta pay this
much over time, And I think it makes it difficult
on the festival, on the people who throwing the festival
to charge like the prices they would have to charge

(33:27):
to probably even make a profit.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
And because it's all that work they have to do,
you know what I'm saying, getting it together.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yeah, if I got to charge people finding all the
ticket to eat it, it ain't worth doing.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
But the house, the House Pechnic is still going.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Even though people complain about it, we still, like, you know,
it still gets support.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Is it a select group?

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Because I personally was heartbroken at the supermown block party
stopped happening. Man, that's a good brother, And I was
just like, you know, it seems like I feel like
sometimes stuff that we do for us, when it gets
to a certain point, we start complaining when I don't
hear that on the other side takes the Randolph all
that stuff, it's cracking.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Then we going down there supporting that, and I'm like, man,
we got something that's for us. Why can't we keep
it going.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
I don't know. Let's see what's Chicago.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Let's open up the phone line. A six six eight,
A five one oh seven five. Man hit us out,
it's GCI.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
What's up the tump? I'm about to pull up on
your right quick.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
JEG one O seven five W GCI The showers Number
one for hippopping R and B. Leon Rogers Zach Book
Best dam on the show in Chicago, pretty specific on
the board filling in for Ryan today, we're talking about
festivals that we have in Chicago. Look, don't get it twisted.

(34:53):
I love everything that you can go doing Chicago, but
I know there are some things that were curated just
for us, with us in mind, that we had and
as they grew and they rose to prominence, it seemed
like they went away. For example, of High Park Summerfest,
like we said, canceled do the rise and security costs.
Civil Room Block Party ended after the twenty twenty three event.

(35:15):
Gana Fest canceled for twenty twenty five due to financial reasons.
African Festival of the Arts postpone the twenty twenty five
do the rising costs organizers are using the time to
fundraise and revamp the festival. Now being fair, there are
some festivals that are still going chosen few. House Picnick,
one of the biggest in Chicago, continues to be a

(35:35):
major event for US house music. The African Caribbean International
Festive Life, they still do their things.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Bantu Fest and.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
The Chicago Caribbean Carnival remains a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture.
But like the other three are they as big as
chosen few? And if they keep growing? Like That's what
I say. It seems like when our festivals get his
big as something that could be downtown at Grant Part,
they go away.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yeah, because they put that. I think they put that.
The city puts a different type of tax on our festivals.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
I do, I do, But why can't we still support it?
Because we'll go support that tax for another festival, for
the Perogi fest, you know what I'm saying. We'll go
down there and enjoy that and enjoy all that. Why
can't we do that on the in our village?

Speaker 4 (36:25):
I mean, I think that we honestly, I'm not trying
to be a contrarian, no, no, no, but I just
think that we enjoy when when they have it, we
have it. A lot of these festivals that you're talking
about started off as free festivals, okay, and then they
end up eventually charging, and I think people still came,
but I think once they the reason they had to
charge was probably due to financial reasons of cost or

(36:45):
whatever it took to run it right.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
And then once the bottom line.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
Came after people paid, they was like, man, it's still
not enough, said like I don't guess I think that
the city seize our festivals. They and they start putting
all this stuff. You gotta do this much more security.
It's gonna be this much for clean up. Now you're
gonna do this much. We got this sanction, you gotta
buy this license. It's just and but we're talking about
the promoters. I'm talking about the people that go to

(37:11):
the festivals. I get it if the promoters be like
this is too much, but in terms, they're not getting
the support from the community.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
And that's what I'm talking Like us, why do we
we pay for everything else?

Speaker 3 (37:22):
I don't watch cash drop big bread to go sit
in a space with couches. But like something that was
made literally this was created by Genia's intelligent black people
for us, for the culture. Like I hear everybody had
a culture, culture, culture, but then we let the culture
go away just because we're won't pay a hundred dollars.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
Well, I see that, but you know what I'm saying.
I see what you're saying. But I think we do
when we can. Like I don't think it's a US problem.
I really don't. I think we come out when we can.
But eggs is twelve dollars. Now in two thousand and.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Twenty, when the exception, everybody had checks me outwaying.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
I just think people I would agree with that. People.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
I didn't see you standing in line for the brand
new George and it's twelve dollars. But people shop for
what they want to shop for. Like, I get it,
I understand.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
And the brand new.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
George is at the fest because that he got to know,
because you got to show it off to the Now.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
He's saying it costs too much to go to the fest.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
But you just stood in line to get a shoe
that we got three pair out of the same shoe already.
I just I get it, but I don't get it,
like and I just hope Chicago could help me understand
one day.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Hit us up, man if y'all got anything to add
to the conversation. A six six eight, A five one

what's up, y'all?

Speaker 6 (38:44):
CJ near south Side?

Speaker 2 (38:47):
All right, talk to us broke.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
Yeah, I think it's an im foreign conversation. I'm going
to just get down to it. I think that it's
because we view like all of our events. I think
we have a tendency to say, don't nobody go to
that no more? That's old, And we allow all these
other events in Chicago to stay alive and keep going.
And we do it. We do the same thing with
like clothing lines. Our brands can't stay because it's like

(39:13):
what was Apple bottom fool boo, don't nobody wear that?

Speaker 2 (39:16):
No more?

Speaker 6 (39:17):
That's old, that's played out. But guess what Gucci and
everybody else they clothing brands get the last one hundred
and fifty years. God, I think that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Yep, appreciate your car.

Speaker 3 (39:27):

And Dear Lord, I come to you today confused, concerned,
and just a little creeped out.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
I ain't gonna lie to you.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
I have seen some strange things in my lifetime, from
COVID to gas prices that I hide, to eggs being
seventeen dollars a Carton.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
But now they say that the United States is about to.

Speaker 4 (41:32):
Drop millions of flies from the sky to fight flesh
eating maggots. Lord, just why we get rid of everything.
Let's get rid of the maggots and the flies. So
in order to to to get rid of the maggots, father,
they are dropping flies from the earth from the sky.
They are getting ready to flood the earth with flies.

(41:52):
Now I know that meant you know science. I know
scientists think they got it figured out, but they don't.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
They don't.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
We just got over the cicados and now you're getting
ready to drop millions of flies. They are saying that
this is supposed to protect the wildlife, I mean the
USD and.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
The farming things. They saying that that's gonna cost US.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
Millions and millions of dollars if these maggots get to
destroying things.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
But we're gonna fight them with flies.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
So when you see more flies at your barbecue, when
you see more flies at your swim party, when you
more flies, like it's a little fly out here, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
More flies around that person that donbey.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Yes, when you are musty and you have more flies
around your armpits and your eyes.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
There is a reason because.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
There are more flies in the skies. Right, Hey, it'll
do what powers get rid of the flesh eating maggots? Well,
who's gonna get rid of the flies after they get
Exactly it seems like once you feed the flies, they
will create more flies.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
And now we got rid of the maggots, but now
we have more flies.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
Amen, we got to breathe fi, yes, get rid of
There's gonna be flies in people house, gonna be flies everywhere. Okay,
but I'm still flying. The great many freshmen once said,
but I'm still fly. But I don't think he's talking
about this this. We're asking your mighty name. Amen, Amen, Amen,
