Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to us,
Ryan Air Air on Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Uh. Okay, let me get to this that a lot
of people are talking about. There's an update on Hinge,
maybe a game changer. I mean the app really needed, Sisney.
What are people talking about?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Okay, so we all know Tanya met her fiance on Hinge. Hinge.
Mikayla is on it, but kind of not having the
greatest luck right now. We went through her messages the
other day, do you remember, and like some of the
guys just didn't respond after maybe one or two responses
from her end. So Hinge users are now switching it
up a little bit because the app has it like
(00:42):
a new setting. So it makes us so that you're
not able to send or receive any new likes until
you take action with the current ones that you have
in your inbox. Annoying.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I think it's great too.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
There's probably a lot of guys and girls out there
that just swipe, swipe, swipe message as much as almost
like throw everything out to see what catches. And is
that the right approach because you're not really spending time
on someone's profiles like figure out if you really do
want to get to know them or whatever, and so
now like you're not going to even be able to
browse unless you go through your messages and they're not
(01:15):
responded to that. I think it's so it's called your
turn limits. It prompts users to reply to or end
the conversation with current matches before making new matches.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
MICHAELA, you're an active user. Now what do you think?
I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I think it's smart too. I agree, because exactly keep
things moving, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Exactly, don't have to keep like wondering like, oh, should
a message this guy again or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, limbo is the worst. Gray area is the worst.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
When you're swiping, swiping, swiping, and then let's say you swipe,
you're like, okay, this guy's okay, but blah, and then
you swipe someone else you're like, oh, this is the
guy that I really want, and then you're stuck having
to engage with the one that you didn't really what
they want.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
This is the whole point of that. So then you
go back to that and you end that conversation with
the one that you didn't like, so that it's not
just lingering in their inbox forever.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
This thing start back up? When does it starting?
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Hits up and running? All right, so let us know
you yeah and hine arek. Actually, when they did the
test run, Hinge saw a twenty percent increase in responsiveness
on the app. It's just it's going to make for
more meaningful conversations.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I think I like it. Rain Seacrest, is any Tanya
in the back room? Good morning.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I haven't even said anything to y'all this morning. I've
just been good morning. I collect Hi, I was engaged life.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Oh, it's great, It's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, in the middle single Michaela on the other side,
engaged Ruby her single Mikayla Michaela.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Haven't finished in the one yet.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Oh, I'm not starting that.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
No one wants to do a workbook so much. That's
not true. Not yes, people do want to do it
and have do does she? I did half? Well, you
gotta finish. It's half of the one.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Which has did you take?
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
I don't know the mind or the physique mind.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Mind, yeah, rupiecique is used.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
That can change, right, all right, So let's get into
this stuff. That's just totally normal here now, I moved
here and so I had to get accustomed to certain
things now that I just completely know they're in my blood.
But it's making the rounds on social media. It started
on that excellent Instagram Secret Los Angeles. Now others are
(03:34):
adding their own, but things that are considered normal in
LA nowhere else, like the the before the freeway, right,
I mean we would say I seventy five, I eighty five,
Georgia four hundred those of this, yeah, interstates.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
No chance that we would say that here. But it's
because or highway. Say highway, You're like, you're not from here, But.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
It's because it's the Cinamonica Freeway, the Hollywood Freeway. I
think that's why the does in front of the number,
because it's it's got a name to me.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
It's just the way it is.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
The ten all right, Dressing for a blizzard whenever the
temperature seventy degrees only in La.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah, beanie time, true beanies.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
In Venice, beanies in Long Beach, beanies in Newport.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
And vests, oh seventy I wear like a vest and
then a puffer on top of it.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
So how about this only in LA Not seeing a
friend for years even though you're only five miles away.
So during on the other side of the hill. So
it makes it literally impossible. I got tenas lives on
the other side of the hill.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
It doesn't even happen to be the other side of
the hill. Five miles is the perfect example.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Miles is a long way, measuring distance in time, not miles.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
True. Yeah, I'm going to.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Come over to your house tonight. How long is that
going to take me? At seven? Yes, I can't come.
We'll come at five thirty. And I can't why, I mean,
I sit it out. I gotta wait it out right,
I'm at seven, canceling evening plans after checking Google Maps.
How many times have you done that? We're gonna go
to the beach, and then you see the track for sunset,
You're like, traffic's too bad, let's just do nothing in
(05:11):
order food understanding that west is north and east is south.
Have you gotten through that?
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
I know?
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Because the one I one through the valley is.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
So confusing, You're like, why is the sun in my face?
Speaker 1 (05:24):
I'm going like the wrong direction?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
And the other one I love is that.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Because parking is just tricky when you drive someone else
to their car, like I'll drive you to your car,
I'll take you so far out only in La Love
it though makes us very happy. No, tiny, that's a
question for us, and it's razing.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
We as a.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Culture obsess about sleep or quality of sleep or lack thereof.
We have rings that we charge and put on our
fingers to tell us what quality of sleep we have gotten. Sure,
we plug ourselves into data. We wake up in the
middle of the night, often to go to the bathroom,
to go back to sleep or not to sleep. Then
(06:06):
the alarm goes off. We moan, we groan when that
sound happens. But tany's a question about this process for us?
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Yeah, Well, because I talk to you every single day,
and I realized I don't know the answer to this question.
And I was talking on my way back from our
festival with our coworker Belinda, and she was telling me
that she goes to sleep in silence.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
And I say, like, what everybody does?
Speaker 8 (06:31):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (06:32):
No, not everyone.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
I have a white noise machine that we put in
our room every single night.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Room. Yes, because that was pillow cover and a white
noise machine and tape over your mouth.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Oh yeah, Yi, a lot of people sleep with white noise.
It's not just me, yes, children, no, adults. Is there
any adult back there that sleeps with white noise. I yes,
thank you noise noise using a different function. Yeah, app,
thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Wait you are a fan or you have a fan.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I have a fan, But when I'm not home, I
have an app that plays a fan for me.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
See I mean, I fall a sleep to a siren
here or there and a little dog barking across the.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
It's always a little dog down the street.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I have a little dog. It wakes me up too,
That's the thing.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
It wouldn't wake you up if you had the white
noise in your room.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I can't sleep with white noise, Tanya.
Speaker 9 (07:22):
It's for me.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
It gives me anxiety.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Of sleeping in silence, makes me like, it makes I
love it.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Because there's so much noise in the day.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
And then your partner gets up to go to the
bathroom innim of the night and you just hear every
crook and creek and I'm no, but you.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Know, I can't even like even the white noise. So
we share a wall with ASA and Savea's room, and
they have like the ocean sound waves and all this
that's like it's a space ship in there. And and
sometimes it's too loud, and I'll have to get up
and lower their volume because I could even hear a
little bit through the walls. And I can't sleep that
you both even silence.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
That is how we did it from being kicked.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
What if someone like breaking into your home in the
middle of the night, You're not going to hear anything because.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Of your head intruder gone, You're playing Edema on the sand.
So when you kiss someone for the first time, relationship
experts say doing this will make your dates more attracted
to you.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Ready, mm hmmm, you know what it is?
Speaker 1 (08:31):
You want to their face at the back of their
That's what I thought.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Lick your lips, No, grab the face. No, be the
first to pull away.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I like it. It's kind of my style.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Be the first to pull away.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, I'd like. It's like a little tease. I'm pretty
sure I still kiss this way, Oh Beacon, that's Michael.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Wait.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
It creates a situation where the other person has to
chase you. They feel more attracted to you. Yeah, and
they want to kiss you again and again.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I get it. I'm here for this. It's a very
arious thing to do. Anything about tongue, well, teach their
own Okay, get creative.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
I didn't go that far, but you know what, you
add that on get perfect? Yeah, you make this your own.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Sort of improm make it your own.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Today's quote your fear is one dependent on you for
its survival.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Ooh, yes it is girl.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Ronnie Henry is in here now. Ronnie.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Welcome, Ronnie, Digital content manager I Art Media, Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah, and he got.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Locked in, not locked out, locked into his apartment on
his way to go see Nicki Minaj. And by the way,
Ronnie and I had a nice hug at the festival.
It's good to see.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
I know, we all. I was almost so rushed I
didn't get a chance to hug you.
Speaker 10 (09:53):
Do you know that, I know, but I wanted to
make sure I stopped you just so I can give
you a hug. So just calm you down. I was
giving you the energy because I know you're running all around.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
But you did. You calmed me.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
You calmed yourself so much you couldn't get out of
your own apartment. So what and the firefighters had to come.
He to call nine one one. We'll get to that
in a second.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
What happened?
Speaker 10 (10:13):
Literally, this is the crazy story because I don't know
what happened? Like, I so, my boyfriend and I were
getting ready to go see the garmage. We're already dressed,
getting ready to leave. He had gone down two times,
just like get some stuff from his car, and then
the third time we're leaving. So at this point, we're
outside of the apartment.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
First, I'll give him some space in your closet.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I have a lot of clothes, geez.
Speaker 10 (10:40):
So we are outside of the apartment, and then when
I go to lock the door, it won't close. Like
it literally was like the door just it wouldn't close.
It was like it was off, like unaligned. I guess
it would not close. So then I go back in
and decide, okay, well I'm gonna just slam it close
just to see if I can like put it back
(11:02):
on its alignment.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
And then I could not get out, like you trapped
at your apartment trying to line it back up. So
you you did?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I mean, what are the things that went through your
mind before you called nine one one. I'm not so
sure it's a nine one one.
Speaker 10 (11:13):
No, it was a nine one one because I'm like,
I need to go see Nicki Minaj.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
So I feel like that's a different one one, I'm
pulling the door.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
I'm pulling, pulling, pulling.
Speaker 10 (11:21):
I you know, like with your dog, if you're giving
a toy or whatever, like you know how you're using Yeah,
all its might like all four like that was me
trying to open this door.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Like be on the wall.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
The firefighters come, and we want to acknowledge those firefighters
that rescued Ronnie Henry, Yes, Scott, thank you for coming.
Because they came with tools, they came with ladders and hoses,
they came with all kinds of apparati. Turns out all
they needed was the key. Ronnie, how did you get out?
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Well?
Speaker 10 (11:50):
So I think they did more than that, but they
appears that. So it was a lady firefighter shout out
to her. Yeah, she asked me to slide the key
under the door. Slide this key under the door, and
in two seconds.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
It was over. And because they are trained professionals, No,
I felt so bad because I was like I just
wasted their time and I like, I even asked them
on the phone.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
I was like, how fast are you guys going to
get here?
Speaker 10 (12:16):
Because I need to go see Nick Minas like I
and I'm on the second thing to take care about that,
it seems so they were there fast, Like I was like,
I can't jump out of the window because on.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
The secondologize to all the taxpayers listening right now.
Speaker 10 (12:29):
I'm sorry everyone met Nicki Minas. It's very important to me,
so I needed to be there.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
Ronnie.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
He made it out safely in a shadow.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
The point is, like firefighters, mercy personnel, they have to
deal with a lot of really important things and then
they got to deal with our dumbness sometimes.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah, it's a time for a second date. Update. So
Joseph is the dude here. He's on the line.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
He met this woman he used to work with in
the Echo Park farmers Market and they made plans to
go out. It was the first date for them, and
he's it was amazing. It was the best first date
he's ever been on. And now she seems to be
shutting them out. So we're trying to figure out why
this is a situation where you're like, think you're doing
everything right on a date and then you're not kidding.
A response I mean clearly means they don't like you,
(13:12):
but why not? Now are you the person that settles
with Okay, they don't like me, have to move on
or you the kind of person like Joseph, they needs
to know why.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
And so that's where we are. Joseph, good morning, How
are you?
Speaker 7 (13:22):
Good morning? I'm doing well.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
How are you.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Solid? Thank you solid?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
So Joseph, when you say it was like the best
first date you've ever been on, why.
Speaker 7 (13:36):
I mean, I don't know. We laughed and talked about
our memories, you know, in our lives now and I
don't know. She was touchy feely and seemed to be
into me, and we just had a good time.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
But you don't work together now. You did work together?
Speaker 7 (13:50):
Oh yeah, yeah. We worked together at a consulting firm
when I was like right out of college.
Speaker 9 (13:55):
She'd been there a few years. I remember her showing
me the ropes. I had a big crush on her name,
but I never acted on it. So when I started
the Farmer's Market, you know, I figured it was fate,
so I asked her out. Then Sunday we went out.
The Farmer's Market was a Friday. We had we had
brunch at Millie's on Sunset. I had a blast.
Speaker 7 (14:16):
Like I said, We share memories, laughed a lot, talked
about our lives now. I don't know. It was really great.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Yeah, how'd you end it? How'd that day end?
Speaker 7 (14:29):
I mean, you know, we went our separate ways, and
you know, she said that she'd be down to do
it again. I said that I would too. She went
on a work trip and said that she might be
available when she gets back. And she's back now, but
she's not returning my texts.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Interesting, I've been there. What what time is?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
What time? What time was your meal? Your brunch?
Speaker 1 (14:55):
What time? Does that matter?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I'm curious that what is brunch time exactly? Is it
technically a light? Did going to be one?
Speaker 7 (15:02):
I think we did at one pm a little bit later, but.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
That's like lunch. What of what you get to eat?
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah? Ex, Benedict, did you kiss?
Speaker 7 (15:14):
We did not kiss. No, but she was very touchy
feely and she touched me a lot.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
I heard that.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
It sounds like great details.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
I don't know. She's like touch my arm and you know,
when she would laugh, she would reach in and touch me,
and I don't know, it seemed great. I thought it
was a good time.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Okay, Well, it doesn't make sense right if she's all
over you and then doesn't respond to you.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Just be her personality though too. I feel like Tongu
is very touching, like that doesn't even know she's doing it.
I love touching, not for me, Joseph, hold.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
On one second, like she's totally You're unaware right when
you're touching.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Sometimes I'm aware, fully aware.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
That makes even work. I've got Joseph on the phone.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
This is got a second date update, so quickly, here's
the deal Joseph, And this is the concept trying to
figure out why if you're getting shut down after a date,
Like why, what's the reason you thought it all went well?
You like the person, but they're blowing you off. What's
the reason for it? Just to give you some peace
of mind, that's Joseph's situation. I worked with this woman,
had a crush on her, totally runs into her later
after they don't work together at a farmer's market and
(16:28):
he's like, this is fate. Meant to be asked her out.
They go out, they go to brunch, they have a
great brunch. They have a date brunch, first date. She's
kind of handsy with him. Catchy feel he said, that's
what he said. So he's like, it's on, yeah, feeling
the back separate ways. He's trying to ask her out again.
She's not responding at all, so it doesn't add up.
(16:49):
He's like, wait with the body language. And the date
was great. It seemed like all signs are point in
the right direction. But now she's not getting back to me,
so what happened?
Speaker 1 (16:56):
But she did say she was gonna go on a
work trip, so maybe she's still kind of getting settled back.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I think it seems like more. But that's what Joseph's
it's in his head. He wants to know. He wants
to confront her. So Joseph, just don't say anything.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Be very quiet. We're going to talk to her on
the air. Okay, you're gonna listen in.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay, all right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Bianca, thank you for hanging on there. You're on Kiss
FM this morning. How are you?
Speaker 9 (17:20):
I'm good?
Speaker 7 (17:21):
How are you great?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Thank you for asking? I got much's Ryan here, I
got Sistany and Tanya with me calling you about a
guy named Joseph you went out with? Tell us about him?
Speaker 7 (17:33):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (17:35):
Did he put me down as a reference or something?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
A reference?
Speaker 3 (17:40):
What do you when I say his name? What is that?
Speaker 7 (17:43):
Was that?
Speaker 3 (17:44):
What do you think about what used to work with him?
Speaker 6 (17:49):
Right, I?
Speaker 8 (17:50):
Yeah, we used to work together. I mean we went
to brunch recently.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
And was it a date.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
A date? No?
Speaker 8 (18:01):
I mean we worked together back in the day and
we just went to brunch and we were just sharing stories.
I didn't think it was a date at all.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
And did you feel like after you had brunch with
him you wanted to see him again?
Speaker 8 (18:17):
No? I I was just giving him advice. That's what
I thought this brunch was, is that he was just
calling you to give him career guidance.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
And how would you give to characterize your body language
during this non date brunch.
Speaker 8 (18:34):
I wasn't really paying attention. I mean I was definitely friendly.
We used to work together, so I don't recall anything
that would give him any sign that this was a date.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Got it understood, Well, here's the thing, Bilance. Are you
a hansy person?
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Are you?
Speaker 10 (18:55):
Do you?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Are you like when you talk you put your hand
on people's shoulder, or like, what do you do with
your hands when you talk?
Speaker 7 (19:04):
I mean, I guess I'm a touchy feely person.
Speaker 8 (19:07):
You know he was talking about, you know, he was
frustrated with the industry, and I may have done that
to comfort him because he's a smart guy.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Well, here's the thing, this is just a total miscommunication.
That's really why we are here. Joseph is on the
line with us right now listening to all of this.
And yeah, and the thing is, I feel like Joseph, Well,
Joseph can tell you this, but from what I know,
because he told me he had a crush on you
when you worked together, he didn't do anyth because you
worked together, and then when you guys ran into each
(19:38):
other at the Farest Market, he felt like it was fate.
And then he asked you out on what he thought
was a date, and then you were sort of quote
like over him, which he told me, and so all
over him. Well he said, like really on that, and
so he was. I think, Joseph, you should pick up
the conversation here, but confused.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
Wow, yes, let's just please put this up.
Speaker 8 (20:01):
Because I don't think I was all over him.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
No, no, no, that's just Joseph.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Could you understand the difference of perspective here.
Speaker 7 (20:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah I can. I don't know. I guess
I wanted to figure that out.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
So it wasn't a date, Joseph, It was not a date.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
It's not going to be a date, and she's really
just a supportive friend and that's probably a great thing.
So can can do you think you could have a friendship?
Speaker 8 (20:31):
Are you asking me? I?
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Yeah, I mean this is Joseph.
Speaker 8 (20:34):
Anybody really awkward because I actually I.
Speaker 7 (20:39):
Think it's the date.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
But I think this is good because now the awkwardness
is gone. It's diffused because Joseph, I think romantically had
a vision.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
You don't. And now we know where everybody stands, which
is good news.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
This happens to everybody. It's totally fine. I don't know
that it does.
Speaker 7 (20:58):
Which actual old date with the guards on the table
beyond Joseph, how old are you?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
No, it's getting worse.
Speaker 7 (21:10):
I'm twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
I'm for you one.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
I have no problem with that.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
I mean I.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Do.
Speaker 8 (21:21):
Look, you know what, Joseph, I wish you the best
with your career. I hope we take advice I gave
you at brunch, but really truly I wish you the best.
Speaker 7 (21:29):
I'm gonna go now, all.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Right, thank you for coming on with us. I really
appreciate a great day, and good luck with everything. Joseph's
gone like this good news. Joseph. Exist, But now we
can move.
Speaker 7 (21:42):
On, right, I guess.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Yeah, No, I think it's time. Yeah, Joseph, we really
appreciate you trusting us with that. Thanks for reaching out
to us. Okay, you take care, all right, We'll see
you later.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Peace mane.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
No, that was great.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
That was what a said date update is supposed to do.
It was totally actually perfect miss communication.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
I almost wish though, that we didn't have to I.
Speaker 9 (22:09):
Don't know, on air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
So this is interesting listening. Yes, you can tell us
a little bit about this. But I guess the question
you want to think about is if you could have
a computer, something AI ish or smart tell you your
life expectancy by giving it some data, would you want
to know?
Speaker 3 (22:33):
So first while you ponder that, what's the deal?
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Okay, So this biotech company has developed an aging clock
that uses information from the cells in your cheeks to
predict your biological age. Now it's just a swab and
you can buy this kit. It's like it's called the
Tally Age test kit, and you swab your cheek and
then the company claims knowing that this info will give
(22:57):
you control of your health and it's all positive positive essentially,
But would you want to know?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yeah, you would know I would, yeah, because I would
navigate things in a certain way, Like if I knew
my life expectancy, I might quit working.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Now that's an interesting take, right.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Like what if what if you told me bad news?
What if I'm fifteen years left?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
But right, But like, it doesn't but it doesn't do
it like that. It doesn't tell you like when you
will die or how or anything like that. It just
shows the difference between your biological age and your chronological age,
which is I guess highly Okay, I guess that's highly
associated mortality risk.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
But I still want to know that too, because maybe
I can you can well you can engineer it, navigate
it to change by diet, exercise, uh less stress.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Yeah, but you already know all that. So why do
you need this thing to tell how?
Speaker 3 (23:53):
I don't I don't know that. I don't know this.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
This is taking your cells and stuff like this is
it seems legit.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
I don't know my biological mycology, I know.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
But you know that you can bio hack and the
way like your diet and the things that you eat
in the way that you live your life to to
slow the aging process or whatever.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
So you already know that you can do on that,
So why your cheek. What if you're someone that drinks
a lot of alcohol, Let's say, okay, like socially it
doesn't seem to be an issue. Blah blah blah. You
take this kit and it tells you be based on
the cells inside your body, like your body type really
should not have any alcohol ever, ever, ever, at all,
you know what I mean. And so then now you
find that out at you know, thirty versus maybe something
worse coming down.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I would say that I'd rather like to retest.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Well, I'm yahy too.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
I'd be like, I'd.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Rather enjoy my alcohol in my life.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
But there are things stress, anxiety, exercise, vitamins, I don't
know what, diet whatever. Then you can engineer or tail
so the answers the I would like to I would
like to know that is expensive.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
It's it's two hundred and fifty bucks, so it's not
like crazy crazy expensive. But yeah, I mean, if you're
gonna do something like this, go all in tally age
test kit.
Speaker 6 (25:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Tally age is all one word. T A L y
a g E. Test kit does.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Not predict when or how you will die? That'd be great,
But just tell me how I'm.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Gonna gosh, I not want to know that.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
No, because then you'd be like sliding doors. That movie
you could have.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Word yeah, I still have not seen.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Oh gosh, what if you were going to die on
a camping trip? You wouldn't camp?
Speaker 3 (25:28):
That is changed car? That would be so great. Who
would What if they say a car?
Speaker 1 (25:33):
And then what you're never gonna get in a car?
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Mm hmm?
Speaker 1 (25:37):
You see me on the e bikes?
Speaker 3 (25:40):
All costs true?
Speaker 1 (25:43):
I mean it is true.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
If you were going to die, how would you want
to go?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
In my sleep?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
That's it?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Just in my sleep, peacefully surrounded by its, surrounded by
my family. I don't know. I don't I'd rather not.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
We we are, it's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Oh my gosh, how about you? How about you?
Speaker 2 (26:03):
I think after eating too much and sleeping, let's go
Nancy and Montabello. Nancy's up listening this morning. Appreciate that. Hi,
Nancy Montabello, It's Ryan cisany Tanya? How can we help you?
Speaker 6 (26:15):
Hi? I this is a situation. I have been talking
to this guy for about six months, you know, just
been bringing him around my friends, and there's my one friend,
it's like my really close friend, and bring him around.
He's like starstruck, Like he is always like she's so beautiful.
I want to hook her up with my friend, like
(26:39):
my friends would love you, you know that kind of thing.
And I'm not like the jealous type. But you know,
at this point, you know, I kind of do feel
little insecure, I guess you could say, because he's always
like she deserves the best, and she does.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Yeah, but he.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Doesn't need to be promoting it so hard. Yeah, a
little too consumed with.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
It, Yes, that's what I'm saying. I'm like, Okay, it's
a little bit too much, you know what I mean,
not too I.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Mean, you got it.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
This guy, your your guy's got to have an O meter,
you know, he's got to have the meter to know
like when is supportive and when it's like, bro, quit
talking about her so much? Like are you thinking about
her that much? I heard she's the best in class
how much?
Speaker 7 (27:25):
So.
Speaker 6 (27:25):
I've been with him for six months now, so I
feel like it's kind of that point where it's like,
you know, I need to say something, but I'm also
like nervous to say something.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
You know and just might be his personality too, like
is he naturally a flirt or so vocal?
Speaker 2 (27:40):
I would watch this with this one woman specifically, okay
on it, and you may need to give him a
little advice about his commenting.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
And frequently how does she say that? I feel like
because I would say, I mean, I've heard I heard it.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
Got it?
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Like when you guys go he's so hot that Patrick
Schwarzenegger is so hot.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
I'm like, guys, I got it. I heard I heard you.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
The first three times, I think it was us calling
him high.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
But I know when to stop. I know when to stop. Nancy,
good luck. Well, let's have a family meeting. What is
going on with everyone getting trapped? I don't know this
whole who was trapped last time Ronnie was trapped.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
There is something going right.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Let me google the social media department. He locked himself
in his house. The fire department had to come to
get him out of his own home.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Ha ha ha. He couldn't figure it out. He's trapped.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
He was trapped and he was trying to get to
the Nicki Minaj concert.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
And he said, I think he screamed through the door.
You don't understand how high priority. This is to be
on time for NICKI Mini. No, it's not the one
one you call. So now Ruby and her fiance trapped,
trapped in their own home.
Speaker 11 (28:54):
Yes, well we happened. We actually locked ourselves out. We
were getting ready to go to my friend's birthday dinner.
We were going to Koreate Barbecue and k Town. And
then as soon as we walked out, I looked at
David and I was like, you have the keys, right?
Speaker 3 (29:06):
No?
Speaker 1 (29:07):
He looks at me, He's like.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
No, And so you locked yourselves out. Ronnie locked himself in.
Speaker 11 (29:13):
Yes, no car keys, no nothing.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
So that situation a lot of people want to blame
the gail you blame.
Speaker 11 (29:21):
I knew it wasn't the time.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
You know, when you know better, you're like, don't do it, don't.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Start, don't go there. I was trying.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
I'm so bad at reading that. Nine.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Michael told you you always you didn't tell me, but
you always do get the keys?
Speaker 3 (29:36):
Why about I think you wouldn't this one time?
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Verbade him exactly what I would say. I did say that.
Speaker 11 (29:43):
But I was like, you know, it was also partially
my fault.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
It was a whole thing.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Don't you have the artificial rock where there's a spare well.
Speaker 11 (29:50):
We do have a lock box, but there's no key
in it, and I've been like, this is just a reminder,
like make sure to make a spare.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Key earthquake preparedness and a spare key. How did you
get into your home?
Speaker 11 (30:01):
We were trying to be sly, so we're opening this
window by our laundry room and David was like pressing
it too hard and then it just boomed again.
Speaker 9 (30:12):
Live.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yeah, it was that was him.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
That part was So you broke a window getting into
your home?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Yes, on accident. So but we made it to dinner and.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Glass shards all over your body so dangerous, broken glass everywhere.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Now did you tell your landlord about this?
Speaker 9 (30:31):
Well?
Speaker 11 (30:31):
David was like we should text him, let him know,
and I was like no, no, no, no, I'll handle it,
like I'll go find you know, glass repair spot, like
it'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Are the rules that you can just replace it?
Speaker 9 (30:41):
Not think so?
Speaker 1 (30:44):
I mean it's for me.
Speaker 11 (30:45):
I was just thinking about expenses, like it's going to
be cheaper if we just handle it versus going through
someone else.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Not tell them.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Yeah, exactly, keep it on the left. I always find out.
Let me tell you.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
All right, Well, we're glad you made it safely to dinner,
but be careful anybody else. It's locking in or out
of anything here. Mikhaela, you're next. I gets so worried
about this happens in threes, right, watch your fobs. This
is going nuts on.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
TikTok.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
How do you shower? What do you use to clean
yourself and yourself? Do you use a washcloth, a sponge
your hands?
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Sydney? What do you use?
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Mia is kind of like a loof of sponge. It's
got like that like harsh like almost haylike woven how
to describe it.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
So it's scrubbed, it gets rid of dead skin.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Okay, Yeah, I really use it on my knees because
I remember I have like knee issues, and I think
it's because I'm always on my knees with my kids, like,
and I feel like my knees are like dirty, like
I can never culd them clean enough, and so I
always try to like really scrub them.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
So for me, I don't use a washcloth because if
that's an extra thing you got to put in the laundry,
So I don't use washcloth. And then do you use
it again you let it dry. It's crusty soad, and
don't use that. I don't use a loofah because I
don't have one. I don't use a sponge because they
think they collect things. So I just use my palms.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
That is the debate.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
And so I just used my palm.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Many people are like, that doesn't clean you enough.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
How does it not like the water's running. I use
scuirty soap.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
I use soap liquid and I put all over me
and I turn around and I shake it all about.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Because you're not getting like the dead skin cells off
of you. So if you had some sort of like
a wash claw, a spongey type thing, the way they
sound like this really good one that like just sticks
onto your wall and it's like made out of rubber
and I can't describe it. It's not a mitten, but
it's like it has a handle in the back. So
then when you put it on, it's just like a
flat surface with little bristles and it's all made out
(32:41):
of like rubber, and then you can use that to
like scrub I actually can't even tell you.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
I think the last time I washed my knees was
like two thousand and five, like I have to.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Wash the water runs down.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
I'm saying, I watched the hotspots and that's it, okay.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Like your elbows on your knees are like the go.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
To so me I shower hands. What I use Tanya
hand hands?
Speaker 1 (33:01):
No, I use like an app rus loof lufah, the
words Dana, I use the wash gloves like the vins
wash glove nins? You get over there?
Speaker 3 (33:17):
Where do you keep them?
Speaker 8 (33:18):
What do you mean?
Speaker 11 (33:19):
I take them out and I let them, you know,
I clean them every time before I use them.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
And I've never met someone with washgoes ruby. What do
you use?
Speaker 11 (33:25):
I use like this long Korean scrub that like it's
like a net, a net along net thing.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Like the loofa.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
No, it's not a loose like a scarf.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
But you're so judgmental with people that you used lufahs.
Like we could say the same thing about you not
using anything like they live. That's fine, but the lufah
so much. It's not a loofah. It's not a loofahs?
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Is it a badminton net? Kind of like a net
like a tennis net.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Very great, and it's one layer. I want to try it.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Even heard of that nice little backs Christmas gifts for everyone.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Don't give when she doesn't honest.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
So the experts say you should use your hands. That's
what the experts dermatologists.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
We can go in circles. Thank you for listening to us.
How you doing.
Speaker 12 (34:15):
Hi good, I'm going to talk to you guys.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Well, it's good to have you on. So we're here,
all of us are ready. We heard that you were promoted.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
That's great.
Speaker 12 (34:26):
Yeah, yeah, exciting.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
I was promoted, but it's caused some a little bit
of tension.
Speaker 12 (34:31):
It's caused a little bit of drama. Well, basically, my
best work friend is now acting super weird towards me
because I got promoted over her, and we never really
discussed that there was a promotion up and like I'm
guessing she also applied, and now she's being super weird
towards me and you guys. On top of this, I'm
her manager now and now it's just like so awkward.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
So, yeah, why did you get the promotion over your friend?
Speaker 7 (34:58):
Really good, I guess.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Okay, well we don't say that to her.
Speaker 12 (35:02):
Probably, No, we're totally not saying that to her.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
But it's not your fault that you got promoted.
Speaker 12 (35:09):
Right, I've been doing a good job and working here
for years, and she's great too. But I think it's
probably a tough choice.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
But a greater job. I mean, if she's upset, say
you should have been greater?
Speaker 12 (35:22):
What do I don't want to be friends with her, though,
What do I do?
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
This is something that if you truly have a good friend,
your friend would take the promotion over you and be
in this situation too if it were her opportunity.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I'm guessing.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
So I think you need to just break through the
ice on this and just sit down and say, look,
this happened, this is the way it is. We both
work hard, we both try our best. We can't let
this get in the way of our friendship. If there's
anything you want to talk about, this is you too,
your friend, anything you want to talk about, let's just
(35:59):
do it all now.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
I move on. And if she can't handle that, she's
not a great friend.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
I think that's great advice.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
If she's a great friend, she'll say I'm happy for you.
You see, if those words come out I'm happy for you.
People are not happy for you, are not your friends.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
And she may come around because maybe the initial shock
was you know it sucked, and so she's dealing with it.
But if you need to sit down and have that conversation,
because then she can realize you're right. You can't. I
can't be upset about this.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
I want to hear her say I'm so happy for you, and.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Maybe she can help you get a promotion down the
lines somehow she Rachel's got I'm saying you can help
her get the promotion.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
That maybe you have the power to promote when you
get your next promotion.
Speaker 12 (36:43):
Honest, put it on the table, put on the.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Table, get it out.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
And if she's a good friend, she's so happy, and.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
You need to be happy for yourself too, Rachel, don't
let this drag you down.
Speaker 12 (36:55):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (36:56):
I am fire her.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
You can always fire option. I'm just weighing options. Thanks
for listening to us, Rachel. Good luck with this. Congratulations
on your promotion. Thank you all right, bye bye.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
I think of us every time we do anything in
addition to this elsewhere in the world of work, or
always have your fruit looks so supportive.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
They all came out to the Santa Monica peer to
cheer you on.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
For the Wheel of Fortune promotion. At the Santa Monica.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Peer meant a lot. Oh right, T one or two
point seven kiss FM, I was gonna do.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
It for us. I was fine, Yay, I think a
Mexican night is in order.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
I'm craving some soft tacos and tortillas nice.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Have you ever told I've ever told you.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
That I have been the recipient of fresh homemade tortillas
that I helped make. I can't take full credit for
making them, ament I do help make them.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
It's the best way.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
I'm having the crave. I'm having the craving. Have a
great weekend.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Before we go back room, What did we miss this
morning while we were busy over here?
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Oh, I've been complaining about my contact. So I'm so
excited I get to take it out now and fix
it because there's something in my house.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Oh so annoying.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
You know I wear contact. You probably realize it's makaida
for twelve thirteen years. There's nothing in my mind. I'm
not a doctor or an ophthalmologist, but there's nothing in
my mind that seems safe about putting our finger into
our eye twice a day.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
But I hate wearing glasses, so I am dealing with it.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
Really, we'll take a look.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Can you wear glasses next week? I want to see
you in glasses.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
Okay, my eyes are so bad that when I wear glasses,
my eye looks so small.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
What are you minus? Minus?
Speaker 7 (38:41):
What?
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Negative seven?
Speaker 3 (38:43):
I was negative six five nine five Joe.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
The competition with me.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
I don't have heights, so I want to go with
eye strength or.
Speaker 9 (38:55):
Worse.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
You're fighting over the worst eyesight.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
Literally, I don't have the worst by pretty close.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Pretty close.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Gosh, I need a weekend. Goodbye, everybody's thanks for listening
to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to subscribe
and we'll talk to you again Monday.
