Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hey, Welcome to another episode of the Bobbycast, where we
will talk about celebrity divorces and how much that we
should actually talk about them. I'm joined by Eddie again,
but I want to tell you a story first. I
was on an Uber eats or door Dash kind of
food app. It's not a commercial, so i'll say them both,
(00:31):
and I order a pizza yesterday and about once a week.
I like to have a pizza, but I can't eat cheese.
I'll get very sick if I eat cheese. And so
there's a place in town. I don't even mind saying
their name, but it's Craigs, and we went there that
one time together. We met Craig yes, and so I
realized while we were there they made a really good
(00:51):
pizza with vegan cheese. Not a vegan, just can't eat cheese.
But I don't want pizza removed from my life occasionally,
and it was really good. So I get on the
app and I order the pizza and I do sub
vegan cheese. Pizza arrives at home twenty five minutes later,
usually pretty fast, but on the receipt it did not
(01:12):
say sub vegan cheese. And I always check because I
will get very sick. It just said pepperoni pizza. So
I told my wife, I think I'm just gonna risk
it because I'm sure they did it on the app.
It shows where I said sub vegan cheese. She said,
I think you should call, Like, I don't know if
(01:32):
I want to call the restaurant and say, is my
cheese right? Yeah? Do you remember my order right? So
she said, do you really want to be sick all
night into tomorrow? And I didn't, so I called. I
called Craigs Guy Answers. I said, hey, I order a
pizza from there. It's at my house right now. I'm
(01:53):
looking at it and I ordered vegan cheese, but it's
not on the receipt, saying V can cheese? Can I
eat this pizza? Now he's clueless because that's not his
job to know. He just answered the phone. It's gone
through like three levels since him.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I bet he probably was just walking by the phone, like,
let me get it.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yes, So he goes, I don't know the answer to that.
Please hold dumb, dumb dum thumb. Music comes on, Guy Answers.
It's Carson. Tell him the whole story again. Order this pizza.
I can't eat cheese. I don't know if it's vegan
cheese or not. He goes, okay, let me go ask
(02:35):
the chef. Dum dump dumb back and all themb dump
dum dump M that's the whole music. Yeah comes back.
He said, one chef chef just left. I ate dinner early,
like four point thirty or so. Because of our hours,
he said, we had to switch out, and the new
chef is not sure either way because he just came
in and didn't make that pizza. And so then I
(02:57):
realize I'm gonna do it. Well, let me stop you.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I want people to know that this pizza, I've tried it,
and it's hard to distinguish if it's real cheese or
fake cheese by one bite, because I think the the
easy answer is just take a little bite and you
can tell.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
My wife did take a bite because she's not allergic
to dairy and because that vegan cheese pizza there is
so good. She goes, I don't know, it's hard to tell.
So they say we switch chefs, and I'm just like,
I'm just gonna trust the system then, because on the
app it says it, but on the receipt it didn't.
He said, but if I were you, if you get sick,
I wouldn't eat it. And I'm what do you mean
(03:37):
to do? Then? I ordered this pizza. It wasn't super
expensive for a full pizza. It was like twenty three bucks.
It's pretty good, reasonable, right, especially for a place that's
not a pizza place. Yeah, it's a nice, nice place. Yeah.
And so I said, okay. He said, I'll just drive
you a new one. This is Carson. Yeah, they the
guy that works at the restaurant. Shut up. It's the
(03:59):
operation manager of the restaurant. And I said, man, you
do not have to do that. Now I'm feeling guilty
that I got a guy about to leave his restaurant
gonna make me a new pizza. He's not a delivery guy.
He's gonna get in his personal vehicle. Because you're telling
me when you eat there. I said, no, no, no, no, no, no,
I'll just order from somewhere else. He said, no, I
(04:22):
will bring you that pizza. What's your address? Wow? So
I started telling him and said, well, you just text
it to my personal number. What would you have done? Right? Then?
Speaker 2 (04:31):
If I were me, what do you mean I would have?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Would you have texted that number your home address and
said bring the pizza. Yeah, okay, I did me too.
Carson seems like a stand up dude, even though I've
never seen his face.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
But like, out of everything you were saying, nothing sounded shady.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Nope. So I text Carson my home address, my first name,
the order, and I say text me when you're close.
I'll make sure the gates open because you gotta get
to a gate to get to our house.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
So fifteen now, maybe twenty minutes later, because the pizza
had to cook. Carson shows up in his car. He's
in a full suit because he works at a nice restaurant,
a movie. He's got a suit tie, he's got his
earpiece instill from the restaurant, and he drove up. He's
like a nice suv just and he's like, dude, we're
so sorry about that. Here's the pizza. Wow, mine was blown. Dude.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
That's the coolest customer service story I've ever heard in
my life.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Not a livery guy, not a waiter, not a chef.
He is the operations manager. Drove that entire restaurant when
it remade the pizza, brought it to my house and
dropped it off, dude.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
I hope some I hope all restaurant operations managers are
listening and watching and being like, I should do this.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
That is so cool. I've never had customer service like
that before. Not only that, I started to go, is
it an insult timified? Tip him because he's not a
delivery guy? Oh? Interesting? Interesting? What would you have done? Yeah? Like,
did you tip him really well? I get my one hundred. Wow,
you tipped him really well for two reasons. One because
(06:07):
he didn't have to do all that right at all,
like went way and it was just me going, hey,
I appreciate that and I have it, so I definitely
don't mind sharing money because I have money. It's pretty cool.
And then two, it's all I had in my wallet.
Oh I hate that. So but I would have gotten,
but I would have it wasn't I think I probably
would have anyway. I don't know, but yeah, I get
(06:29):
and he didn't look he did the thing too or
he didn't look at the tip. He was like, thank you,
so you don't have to do that, and he doesn't
look at it. It's the respectful thing to do. And
then he gets in his car and it goes back
to work. Wow, I wonder if he's not a delivery guy,
he's operations manager. He was an ace right, and he
was also if I'm guessing like twenty one, Wow, young guy. Yeah,
(06:51):
this guy has a future ahead of him. I text Craig,
the owner of the restaurant, you did good, and you said,
and Carson, yeah, I'll tell you what I what I
said about it because I don't know Craig super well.
But so Craigs, how I know it at all. It's
a restaurant in Los Angeles where a lot of celebrities
go to, and the paparazzi no celebrities are going to go,
so a lot of the pictures that you see of
(07:13):
celebrities eating aren't Craigs when they're coming out. And so
I don't know Craig, but I'm just gonna name drop
some folks here. I'm friends with Rich Eisen, who was
big ESPN guy has a massive show now that's on
a bunch of platforms sports show. And Rich text me
and Craig at the same time because Craig was opening
in Nashville, and he said, Craig, he didn't know Bobby.
(07:34):
Bobby didn't know Craig. So that's how we went. I'd
never met him, and I said, hey, we're coming in.
We met him that night. He happened to be there,
so I text him. I said, hey, Craig, Bobby Bones
here in Nashville. Because I don't know if he was
here in LA. I said, just wanted to send you
a note complimenting your operations manager, Carson. There was an
issue with an order and he literally fixed it and
drove it to my house. A plus for him. I
(07:57):
like to know when my people are doing good. I
hope you are good. That such a great text. I
said that at seven o three pm, so five if
he's in LA. And I got a text back at
four thirty this morning, Bobby. That's what it's all about.
Thank you for telling me. Wow, that's cool, dude, that's
really cool. The final part of the good news is
that pizza that I did not eat is in the
fridge for you to take home. Oh yeah, oh wow,
(08:19):
I can't eat it.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, I'll eat It's a good fizz real geez, dude,
that's so good. Like, good on Carson, good on you
to send the boss, the boss boss that note. So
now Carson's gonna get a little praise good on Craig
for hiring Carson, Like, good on everyone.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I couldn't believe that somebody that was just answering the
phone there that wasn't a delivery guy because they don't
deliver right the services go and pick it up. It's like,
I'll just drive it to your house.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
So back to the tip thing, I have a question, like,
you know how because a lot of like you know,
Uber drivers or just people handling luggage whatever, that their
move is just to take the money and not look
at it.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Right. A lot of times no drivers because it's on
the app.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Okay, bad example, but like somebody carries your bags to
your hotel, you give them direct bills, they.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Don't like, oh, but maybe they take it. They like
if you're handing it to them, they'll just look at
it as you're handing it to them. Yeah, he didn't
even do that. His eyes stayed up. That's the power
baller power move. Okay, that was my question. Yeah, so
that was my night last night. I was blown away
at that customer service. What a great story. Big shout
out to Carson, big shot. And as he was leaving,
(09:31):
he was like, do if you ever do anything to
text me again. I text him today, I was like, Hey,
I need help move in this at the house. I'm
just randomly hidding up Carson now for stuff. So in
no way is that a commercial for anything. I just
thought it was fantastic customer service and I want to
share that. And you got a free pizza out front.
I take it. I'll take it, so they had We'll stay.
(09:51):
In the food world, Chick fil A has been dethroned
as the top rated fast food spot after eleven straight
years at number one. I saw this, what a run
the New England Patriots a fast food What do you
think made people shift on that? I think a little bit.
If you just keep winning, people get a little fatigue
of you winning.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Yeah, they start looking for reasons not to Yeah, like.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
They win every year, so we don't have to vote
for them, is my point. But eleven years at number one,
have you seen this?
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I saw the new number one, which is but I
don't know the rest of the list.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
What's the new number one? Jersey Mikes. I haven't spent
enough time there to know if it's good or not
so good? Is it that good? That number one? And
you need to have the juice on it? Whatever you get,
hold on Carson, will you bring me Jersey Mikes? At
ten minutes he knocks on the door. Yeah, you gotta
get the juice on the sandwich. And it's so good.
So I don't know that I've ever been to a
(10:43):
Jersey Mikes. Maybe I have, But I guess my question
is is it not just a subshop? It is?
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Okay, it is, but the bread is good. The bread's different.
The I think that the vinegar, vinegartt or whatever it
is they called the juice makes the sandwich.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Can anybody else five or Jersey Mike's. Do you guys
like it?
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
And Mike's a vegan used to like it. Well. My
wife loves that.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
She put me onto it. And I went probably the
last week to pick up lunch for it. It was
so packed at lunch time. I've never seen a restaurant
that busy.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Has this place not been around forever? I feel like
it's been around for a bit. Does it deserve to
be number one? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:17):
I think cost is probably also the thing?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Is it? Is it less expensive than Oh? Yeah, dude,
it is.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
If I take my family, which are six of us,
to Chick fil A, I mean it's near one hundred.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Mm, well, Chick fil A was the winner. Jersey Mikes
is now too. It's the highest rate of quick service
restaurant in America, scored eighty four out of one hundred,
and it's consistency, reliability, food quality, overall value. So price
is a thing, but it's not the only thing. At
number three is Jimmy johns Now, this is how good?
(11:53):
That's the branding all I know. I think I've had
Jimmy John but it's been a while. Average sandwich to me.
Panda Express at number four, Oh wow, I haven't had
that in a bit. I like Panda Express everything.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
My problem with Panda Express is I don't know what
to order because everything looks so good.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Panda Express. It's Panda Express and Payway that the brother sister.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
No, you're thinking of Paywaight and pf Chains got it.
Pan Expresses it's a fast food you know, Asian food.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I'm familiar. I've had it.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
I just didn't know who which it's got a pandemic.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
I didn't know which one Payway was related to.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
They invented orange chicken, Panda expressed it.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
It's Pan expressed them all. Yeah. It started in the mall. Wow,
so did chick Filase though, right, they weren't all chick
filasing malls for a while. That's where the star started. Yeah.
Top five burger spots. I'll read you then, but what's
your favorite burger spot? What a burger? Man? I love
Sonic and I love in and Out, but I'm not
(12:59):
gonna wait for any out for over twenty minutes, right,
and yours is water Burger, water Burger. Yeah, there's a
Burger King, Culver, Sonic, Windy's. And five guys. Oh, man,
I don't know that I've ever been to a five guys.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Let me tell you something about five guys. Five guys
is really good. But five guys has gotten so expensive?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Is it because their quality is so much higher now? Man?
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I don't think anything has changed because I remember it
being good and then when I went, I went probably
a year ago, and I couldn't believe what they were
charging me for a combo meal.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Top five chicken spots Chick fil A, KFC. Raising canes.
Love raising canes. I know raising canes from less being
on tour and driving around and stopping at raising canes. Yes,
it's good. I like like the Chicken, the Tinders.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
That's where it's at. Are they everywhere now? Because I
remember there used to be so regional.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
The reason I think they're spreading is because I think
the billionaire owner that place lives here and he's always
got like famous people with them, really lives here in
Nashville or do they say it's a condo here? Oh okay,
they have.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
A thousand locations in forty five states.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Wow, they're getting there. Wing stop, Popeyes, sandwich spots, Jersey, Mike's,
Jimmy John's. Subway at three. Wow, they fell hard. I
was surprised they were still up there. Really, Subway is
like pretty I mean, I feel like they were up
for a long time. I feel like subway is fundamental
to subs and I went so much in the early
two thousands and maybe I just don't go anymore because
(14:28):
I have subway fatigue from going so much.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, that's a good point. Subway to me is the
travel stop. Like if you don't want McDonald's, which everywhere
you go when you're on the road is there's a
McDonald's every five miles and a subway.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Top four pizza spots. Now you're a pizza guy. Pizza Hut.
I'm loyal to my Pizza Hut. I love Pizza Hut too,
Papa John's at one, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and Little Caesars.
You guys, it's gonna make a noise over there. Got
a pizza favorite, Pizza Hut. Full service restaurant chains. Chili's
did not make the top three. Wow, I do. I
(15:04):
like Chili's. I'm gonna put a Olive Garden up there.
The garden would be my second guest. Yeah, Olive Gardens
up there and Olive Gardens at number three on the list.
But long Horn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse are one and two.
Oh wow, I get those two mixed up. I do too.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
I get Logan's Roadhouse as well.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Mixed up with those two logans. Who does nuts? I
think it's Texas, Yeah, they do. The Peanuts, Longhorn Steakhouse,
Logan's Roadhouse. Texas wrote It's almost like all the Zach's
and country music Zach Bryan Luke, Brian, Zach Brown, Luke
Brown Zach today all of a sudden start mixing them
(15:44):
up with each other. I will stand the food lane.
McDonald's is releasing for the first time in a long time,
that McDonald's Hot apple Pie.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
I saw this in the news, and you know what
I thought about my dad. My dad is the only
person that I knew to order the apple pie and
like eat it like it was heaven in a package.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
They say, it's been a long time since it has
been out. I remember it as a kid. I liked
it because it came in a box with a hole
in the box. Yes, I guess to prove it was
really in there.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
And you remember the top it folded weird.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, it was like a like came out and came
out in like a curve. Yeah, I hope it has that.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
And then I would always think like, how is that
an apple pie that didn't even look like a pie?
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Like, what is that? It was good though my dad
loved it. I haven't thought about bringing it back, of
course not. But now that I think about it coming back,
it makes me want to go and get one for
like nostalgia's sake. Yeah, can you have one? I don't
know if that's the thing now, Dar, you have Ronald
McDonald delivery deliver one to you. Carson, Carson, can you
bring me a McDonald's Hot apple Pie? I was thinking
(16:50):
about fast food items that aren't the main reason you
go to the place that ended up being really good. Okay,
so the hot apple pies will put me there. And
then I went, what is like my favorite fast food
thing that's not the main thing. So you can't go
burger right at a burger place. So you can't go fries.
You can't go taco at a taco place. I would
even say you can't go fries. That's a main Oh really,
(17:11):
there are no rules. I made up the stupid game.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Okay, okay, what about a frosty, Like a frostycounts? Okay, good,
because that's the only reason I would go to Wendy's.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Really no, they have good burgers. Not a fan of burgers.
They have good meat, like quality meat.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
What I don't understand about Wendy's is how fast they
can be. Like, you order your burger and it can
be as complicated as you want. It can be a
number four, number five, with the number seven, hold the cheese,
more mayo, and as soon as you pull up the
bags waiting for you, like how did you do that?
Speaker 1 (17:37):
You get angry at that.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
No, I'm just wondering, like was it already made or
they go to a slow food place.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
No fast, it's too fast for me. Wendy's frosty strong. Yeah,
I was gonna put a number one for me. Taco
Bell cinema twists. Those are so good, so good. I
would crush a Taco Bell for a couple of reasons.
One because it was open late, especially when I was
doing nights doing radio in college. And then too, I
(18:03):
love the cinnamon twists, and I had one friend that
would always order the cinnamon twist with no cinnamon. That's
just a twist hended. I being a serial kill that
killed eleven people. Oh my god, I about him.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Hey what about at Taco Bell? Is Baja Blast? The
only place that is is Taco Bell, the only place
that has Baja Blasts.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
I would think that's specifically a trademarked thing. But because
a drink, yeah, Mountain Mountain do Baja Blast? Is that
an icy drink? Like a no?
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Oh no, no, you mean like a slushy? Yeah, no, no, no, it's.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Just a soft drink, got it. But it's I think
exclusive to Taco Bell.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
It can't come in slushy form. And then they do
sell it in the stores.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
They sell it in stores too.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
But it would have been a while it had already been
in the stores exclusively. Then they made it into a bottle.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Speaking of drinks at stores, I saw recently sprite with
tea in it.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Dude, that mix doesn't sound good, but I bet it
is if they've got it to the level of putting.
It looked like they bottled pee of the color, like,
you got to change the bottle color. Bottle it's clear, Like, yeah,
you got to change the bottle color. Dude. It looks
so gross.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
It looks I saw it and I was like, oh, sprite.
Speaker 4 (19:15):
Loss like a golden shower.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, you gotta change the bottle color to effect that.
I have the McDonald's hash brown on my list. That's good.
You don't go to McDonald's for the hash brown, but
they're solid. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have the Kentucky Fried
Chicken biscuits. Dude, when you get the box and the
biscuits are in there, so good A plus biscuit and
fried chicken. I have the Sonic Cherry limeade. Perfect.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
You know what's crazy about Sonic is that I think
I saw a number and Mike, you can help me
with this, But it was like the number of combinations
that you can get with a drink was like crazy
in the thousands of like, we can make you whatever
kind of drink you want, but yet I've always just
ordered a Harry line Maid or I got if I
feel crazy, an ocean water. We like what we know,
(20:04):
you know, but like the fact that you have all
these choices, it's pretty crazy.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
The one that I put that I think was most
surprising to people because I ran this by to make
sure it was a real thing, and I remember eating
these when we were living in Austin. The Jack in
the Box egg rolls, Oh dude, those are so good.
That doesn't fit at Jack in the Box and the
Kariockey Bowl, Like Jack in the Box is a burger place.
The egg rolls so good, and the taco you ever
(20:30):
get the tacos a jacket? I never got the tacos.
I don't know, but it made my list when I
was going through things. I sure it has to be
because they have that guy that talks right too, Jack
the big y. I'm a big, bald, ahead guy with
a little cone of my head.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
You're right, man, I think in town. I drive by
one all the time and it's boarded up.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Oh here. Yeah, yeah, I haven't seen one. Mike. How
many active Jack in the Boxes are there?
Speaker 4 (21:01):
There are currently over two thousand locations.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Oh there's but how many are boarded up? Hey?
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Man?
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Like, do you never have the Tariocky ball? No? It
was It was killer, And my instinct is, go, why
would I get a terariokey ball at Jack in the Box.
But I've had awesome.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
And for me it was just like, well, I'm gonna
go Teriockey Bull, I'll get that egg roll.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
And they were both really good. I didn't plan to
do twenty minutes on food, but here we are, Dude,
I love it.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
It all starts with a congree.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Now, yeah, it all start with the Carson story. You
know me, man, I love food and I don't know
if this will ever get the Carson either people watching
on Netflix or podcast, but Carson at Craigs A.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Plus hang tight, the Bobby Cast will be right back.
Welcome back to the Bobby Cast.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
I mentioned at the very beginning, I did want to
talk for a second about jelly Roll and Bunny's divorce,
and mostly at the beginning of how much is it
okay to talk about somebody's divorce publicly?
Speaker 2 (22:05):
I mean, I think when the information's out, talk about
it all you want. If it's all out and even
they're responding to it, let it rip. It's when people
start having their theories of what happened.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Well for a while before they came out and said
this is what we're presenting to you guys. People were
theorizing a lot. There was she was cheating with Chad Kroger,
and I think she addressed that right, said she wasn't. Yeah,
see like that stuff like why are we doing that? Well? People?
But my rule, I think is if there's a celebrity
(22:40):
divorce and both of them are public figures and it
comes out, I think you can talk about it. I
don't think you can make stuff up or guess stuff.
I think if a divorce comes out and it's one
person's a public figure and the other isn't, I think
you have to respect that a whole a lot more.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Absolutely, Jeff Bezos in his ex wife, right, everybody knows
Jeff Bezos.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
I don't even remember his ex wife's name. No, that's
Bill Gates. What if Bezos his ex wife.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Name, the one that donated all that money to charity?
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Because Bill Gates had Melinda Gates Bezos had Melinda Bezos,
the Mackenzie. That's it. Yeah, with divorces, if they're both
public figures, there's a little more leeway because they both
put themselves out there, and those two especially have talked.
She has a lot about their relationship. She just put
a book out too, And because we talked about it
(23:33):
a little bit on the show and on the podcast,
people you need to mind your own business, and I
felt that because they were so public, even about their relationship.
She had just put out a book and we weren't
guessing or speculating that that was fine for us to
talk about. But then now that they've come out and
she said stuff like no cheating, we're still going to
have a baby, which is odd. I can have feelings
(23:57):
about what they.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Say, sure that they're saying it, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
That's that's odd. I don't know what agreement they have,
but it'd be kind of weird to divorce somebody and
then still do the baby. It's not like she's pregnant now,
I know, because that's weird. They've talked about their their
IVF journey so and she said he's dating already, That's
what she said.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Yeah, man, I knew this lady that baby status when
we were kids. Her and her husband. We found out
later in life that they were divorced almost the last
thirty years of their life. But they still lived together,
and they still they lived in the same house. They
I don't know, we've you know, they lived in the
same they slept in the same bed.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
But what do you think that it was. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
I just felt like they were out of love, but
they were kind of still. This is good for both
of us. We won't be alone. I don't really want
to date anyone else, but I just don't love you anymore.
So it was bizarre because I thought my whole when
I was a kid, that they were together the whole time.
But it wasn't until you know, ten years ago that
I realized, like, no, no, no, they were divorced.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Was one of them like gay and they don't didn't
know it because that would make sense if they live together. No,
I just that would be odd to stay together and
live together and still be partners in our roommates, but
also not date other people. Yeah, at that point, just
save your money and stay together. I know. It was bizarre.
Did they have kids, Yeah, they Okay, well that was
(25:24):
the older kids. They were already out of the house.
Oh okay, now I'm back to the original they were
young kids. I'm one with the wind now back and forth.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Yeah, And so what I'm saying is, you know, with like,
I don't know, with Jelly and Bunny, like, I guess,
you can still do things that you planned on doing
even though you're not legally married.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yeah, but if you're going to date other people, and
she said she wants to explore being single, that's weird.
That's hard to do when you're also trying to have
a baby with your ex. But I ain't shaming. I
don't know all the detail, and just from the surface
part of it, it does feel like it's very unconventional. Yes,
(26:05):
but good luck to them whatever makes them happy.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
But to your point, you're right, the fact that they're
talking about all the stuff. We can continue to talk about.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
It because I hadn't for a while, not like dove
into it, because there wasn't much to dive into it.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Right now, what if you know, what if you have
real information of what happened, do you still tell it?
I don't, No, not you, But like that's why that's
what's weird about when you read headlines like, oh, are
they real?
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Like are there? Does somebody really know Jelly Roll?
Speaker 2 (26:38):
And they're saying this because they know the real reason
why they broke up or is this just all made
up stuff?
Speaker 1 (26:43):
Well, so you're saying like when sources just say stuff, yeah,
a great friend is tipped us off that any great friend.
First of all, uh, there was I can always tell
when stuff is put out by a PR team how
because it paints one of them glowingly in the other
not so if I'm just speculating here, pure speculation. There
(27:04):
was a story that came out. It said jelly Roll's
faith maybe what made them divorced. And I read that,
I thought, that's straight jelly Rolls PR team, Yeah, putting
that story out because that makes him look like the
really good guy. He's like getting divorced because he wants
to live his life for God. It said something that's
the greatest angle ever.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
It said something like her crazy life does not did
not mix with his faith life.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
That's okay, guys, and could it be true? Sure? But me,
I also have a PR team. We don't do stories
like that. Mostly we try to keep me out of trouble.
But I read that and thought, oh, this is his
side working it. It's interesting, And then I'll read other
things that go like, oh, that's her side doing that.
There was also a theory that and she addressed this too,
(27:50):
that they were getting divorced because it was split the
assets so they couldn't get sued for everything if they
were going to get sued about something. So there's just
one person on social media that keeps saying Jelly Roll
did some stuff and she's gonna sue and people say
that all the time. I don't know if there's anything
to it. Okay, but then if you divorced, you would
(28:10):
protect assets that way, Like if Jelly doesn't own this
stuff and he gets sued, they can't they can't go
after the other half. I don't think that's the case,
but that was one of those theories. It was right, man.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
I love when people start thinking outside the box and start, well.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
That's thinking us in the box is gossiping. Yeah, you're right,
it is.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
It's just crazy because that that right there, Like, I
would never think of that.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
I think the rules for a celebrity divorce are we
talk about what's out there, we talk a little more freely.
If they have both been public and talked about their relationship.
If they both have been public in their art but
haven't talked about the relationship, I think there's a level too. Yeah,
you don't go to you're kind of just done. Example
(28:50):
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman. Great example that hit. I
was stunned. I talked about it. I mentioned it. Wow,
I'm stunned by this. I did not start speculating as
to why, because I know them too. I didn't even
go into the stories of because there was one that
came out maybe yesterday and Mikey Maye looked us up
(29:10):
that Nicole is not single anymore. That ended up popping
up you see it? Ye, Yeah, but that's okay now
because I think that's a story and sometime. But they
have had their relationship out there a little bit, but
they only gave us a little bit of information. So
I felt like that's all we fairly and freely could
talk about.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
And no one talked about anything after it was announced.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah, so we had nothing to talk about. You see
the story. Yeah, it's not confirmed, okay, unconfirmed.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
That it's with the chairman of MGM Resorts.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Well, if it were me, I'd be with a chairman too.
That sounds good to me. If I got a single
from Keith Urban, I'm running right to a chairman. Father's
Day is Sunday? Yeah, how are you ready? You can't
say that? What do you mean? Are you ready for
Father's Day? What does that mean? Like? Are you for me?
Speaker 2 (30:05):
It's like when you have a birthday coming up?
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Are you ready for your birthday? You can never do
that to me. I'm already in an unhealthy place and
you doing that. It makes it worse because I don't
like surprises when I know there's a surprise coming, because
I build it in my head to be way too big. Well,
nobodys says anything about a surprise, but I know my
wife is going to do something. I like surprises if
(30:29):
they're a genuine surprise, love them. Actually I hate surprises
if I know a surprise is coming, because what happens
in my head is it turns into a nine ring
circus with rockets.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Octopuses, Neil Diamond singing.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
It's in my mind it's going to be the biggest
investing ever. And then when it isn't, unfairly you're disappointing.
It doesn't meet the expectation. I understand that I'm disappointed.
And so with Father's Day coming up, we talked about
a little more. I was like, what do you want
to do? What do you I say, I don't know.
Some do you make it happen, dude? Something kind of
cool for me. Dude, the idea you had was bonkers
(31:08):
to go play golf. Okay, I have a theory. What Well,
first of all, you screwed me. I didn't because I said, Hey,
do you want to play golf on Father's Day? I said,
but I can't make the reservation until Thursday because at
my club you can't make reservations more than three days out.
And You're like, I'm in. So I set my timer
for early Thursday morning. I get a text from you, going,
(31:29):
I can't play golf today. Well, I could never play
golf on Thursday because well I had to work. But
I had planned on Sunday if I could get a
Father's Day tea time that we were going to go play.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
See, I would have never said Yesterfather's Day. In my mind,
I heard, Hey, it takes me a few days to
get tea time. Do you want to play on Thursday?
Speaker 1 (31:48):
You weren't listening.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
That's what I heard, and I said, dude, let's do it.
So and then you were like Father's Day. I'm like, dude,
there's no way I come.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
But I thought on Father's Day you go do what
you do.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, but you know, like I don't. I think it's
frowned upon to say, like, I want to spend.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
All day without you. Guys, it's all day, it's go
to play golf four hours, five hours. Is there something
wrong with asking to go play golf on Father's Day?
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Yeah, because they want to hang out with you. It's
like if my one.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Thing I've ever read is like a dad wants to
go play golf on Father's Day. There's a tournament at
my club earlier in the day of Father's Day. Tournament
how early? It starts at like nine or ten, and
then you're home by like one, What am I'm not
playing in it? That's not bad though.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Like see something like that's not bad. You go super
early and then you're kind of done. You have the
rest of the day with you.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
My first here's my theory, though, my wife has actually
planned a golf outing on Father's Day and you're a
part of it. And that's why you're acting like all
confused because we definitely talked about it and you're a
part of it, and you're just gonna show up Sunday
with clubs and go, hey, let's go play golf. What's
our guy's name from? Craigs Carson? Carson, bail me out
(32:57):
of this. But because I know what we talked about
and I know how my wife is, that's my theory
is that you're going to show up on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
But okay, you started this whole thing off with like,
I don't like surprises, but now you're building this whole
thing up in your What.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Did I just say? I don't like surprises when I
know there's a surprise coming.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Okay, So but so if there isn't a surprise coming,
you're going to build one up anyway because that's what it's.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Going to happen. Something is going to happen on Father's Day.
It might just be a cupcake dairy Free with a
candle in it. I don't know, because she's going to
do something, yeah, and it could be something very small.
But up here, with all the lack of communication we had,
me thinks you guys are all involved and there's going
(33:42):
to be this crazy cool golf outing on Father's Day.
Are you saying there's not dude, I'm not saying anything.
You looked away when I ask you that question.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I'm not saying anything. I don't even want to be
a part of this thought that.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
You have in your head. I'm not crazy. I expect
you to crazy. I expect you to ShW up on
Sunday with your clubs on my Father's Day. It's hard.
It's a father's Day. It's not no, no, no, it's not
yours or mine. So it's Father's Day, our.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Families all together playing golf.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
No, which is probably me, you, maybe Kevin, any of
our other friends that play golf. Afore Dad's My wife
is booked somewhere cool, maybe even the club, and then
she's got you coming. And that's why, all of a sudden,
you're going, I can't that's my that's a dude. I
literally thought you wanted to play on Thursday. I don't
believe you. Okay, what else do you have held that though? Hm?
(34:35):
If I nailed that and you show up Sunday, come on,
come on, what are you gonna do? You know? I
got it? I nailed it. This is so awkward. I'm
always watching.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
The Bobby Cast. Will be right back. This is the
Bobby Cast.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Best dad moment of the year for you. If you
had to give yourself an award for the best dad
moment of the year, what would that award be for? Man?
I know there's something there.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Okay, I'm going to go with The best dad moment
was when my son asked me to go on a
pontoon boat with.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
His buddy's dad. Like that.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Okay, So my son has his really good friend and
his dad invited me and my son to go on
the boat with him, just us four, and I was like,
I don't want to do that, like I don't really
know the dad that well, the lake is an hour
and a half away, Like this is an all day
Saturday thing. I cherish my weekends and that's kind of
(35:41):
the last thing I want to do. But after thinking
about how important it would be to my son to
go out there and do that for him, I said yes.
And it ended up being way cooler than I thought
it was going to be. But that was a big
step for me, and I feel like that was an
unselfish moment that I did as that I.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Think mine is going to be. I've only got three months.
You got a whole year to work from. I've only
got three months, or babies just three months old. I
think mine is going to be four. It's weird to
give myself an award for something I feel like everybody
should do, but I didn't know how it react to
having a baby. Okay, this is good. This is good
to pursuing knowing how to do everything in case my
(36:26):
wife couldn't do it. Because there are times where I
will weaponize in competence, for sure. Oh and a low
to do that you just do. Yeah, it could be
any right, the laundry. We do it all the time
with laundry, and I did not weaponize my incompetence with
the baby. I feel if she said I've got to
leave for twenty four hours, I won't do it as good.
(36:49):
But I feel like I can do it all. From
the hard part's putting her to sleep at night. Our
baby does not like to go to sleep. That's tough.
It's tough. But I can do all of that. You're
like the backup quarterback. Even changing diapers. Yeah, you gotta
know all the plays, the timing of the naps, the feet.
I can do it all the bath I can do
(37:11):
badtime hair what like a if she has like a
little rat Like, I know how to do it all.
And I think my award goes for what I think
every dad should learn how to do. Is that.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Well, let me tell you I did not know how
I was going to react to it from experience. I
never did that, So yes, dude, that is super dad.
Move right there. Like I never once was just like
all right, so you do this. Let me figure out
how to do it. Like my wife never trusted me,
Like she was like, I can't leave and leave the
baby with you, And I'm like why not? Because I
(37:43):
wasn't the backup quarterback.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
I didn't know all the stuff. I'm also not congratulating
myself for being mister awesome dad. I just thought maybe
I would not learn some stuff so I didn't have
to do it, like, oh I don't know how to
do that, let's just get somebody to come help. But
this is a living thing. It was even difficult for
me because I have my apps really organized in a
way that I love them in order of use in
(38:06):
alphabetical Yeah, I have all my apps in specific places.
I don't like to download new apps, and so my
wife needed me to download these new apps for nan
it for outlet for you know, and I did, and
it's hard.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
But did you put them in a folder that said
like that stuff.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
They're on the front, they're in the mix with allow.
So I think that's my Father's Day award, is that
I'm happy that I care enough and that shouldn't be rewarded.
But I did not. But I've been known to weaponizing
competence with other things. Yes, yes, And so.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
You recognize from how you've been in the past that
you did something different with a baby, like you've changed.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Something you normally wouldn't do. Yeah, because I have things important,
I still play dumb to certain things. I don't want
to do it. They're not the baby, but not the baby. Yeah,
that's good. That's good.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
It's kind of cool when you do like above and
beyond dad stuff.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
The best right now with only three months, is if
for some reason the baby's crying or fussing and my
wife's kind of at wits end because she's been dealing
with it or with her, and I can come in
and save the day. It feels like the day. But
if I can just take her at that moment and
calm her down while my wife like goes and get
somebody to eat. That's the that feels like a massive win.
(39:27):
It's almost like I want like I want like a
New York Knicks parade, like I just won the championship,
like I just may I just calmed the bit. I
did it, like I want to walk through the hall
and everybody be like, yeah, you did it. Because it
feels like that. So I'm onto the Father's Day gig though, dude,
not say anything, but even doing that but tells me
(39:48):
I'm right, because otherwise you would say you're not right.
Why would I say that?
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Why would I want to ruin whatever you're thinking if
it's not true. Do you want me to just tell
you it's not true.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
Yeah, if it's not true, tell me it's not true.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
I can't do that exactly. But I don't want you
to get your hopes up high, like I really don't.
I don't want you to think. I don't want you
to be thinking of I don't want you to just.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Live your life. He's talking out of both sides of
his mouth. Just live your life. Now.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
I have a different theory.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
What's your different theory?
Speaker 4 (40:17):
It's not golf at all. It's something else and you
don't want.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
To say, but it still includes me.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Yeah, he said, You're like, don't be disappointed that we're
going to go play golf. We're going to like a
bounce house.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
We're going to trampoline part and it's just us.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Not even our family, say, we couldn't surprise you. Surprise.
I see you have an Lsfella shirt on. I do.
I do? I am an lfella. I love La Langley
that you really do? Did you buy the shirt?
Speaker 2 (40:46):
No, so somebody in our office had it on. I said, ooh,
that's really cool, Like where'd you get that? And they said, oh,
the record label sent it to me. I was like, well,
you text the record label and tell them that I
want one and they can send me one.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
And they said cool.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
And they said, dude, think Bobby wants one to And
I said, yeah, send one for me and Bobby.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
So they send him over. You have one too. I
gave mine to Amy, but I like, I'm I went
out on a limb for me to wear an artists merch.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Oh wait, you know what, dude, we're not playing golf.
We're not playing golf.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
You're playing alone for me to wear an artist merch,
I gotta like they gotta be like one of my
tops h or I have to be like close friends
with them. Otherwise I get sent merch from every artist
in town they want me to. This is a weird dynamic.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
You want to know what's crazy about the shirt? Though
I didn't realize it was gonna be such a such
a deal, but apparently this is from her touring merch
and they didn't have any like.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Request.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
They asked them from the tour to like, hey, will
you ship them? It's very nice to them two shirts,
so straight from the tour, it's super nice.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Did you see the guy that's traveling all over he's
from Germany and he's been driving all over the South.
Then they don't show his face and he World Cup obviously,
and he said, I've been driving all around the South
and they play Ela Langley and all the country stations.
I think it's my favorite artist. And so then they
send him a bunch of stuff and he goes to
(42:17):
the show. Have you seen him at all?
Speaker 2 (42:19):
I have not seen him. I've heard you talk about it.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
It's gone pretty viral, but they never show his face.
Why do you think that is you think he's here illegally. No,
I don't. I think it's a bit so he's not
really German. I think it's a wonderfully crafted bit. But
he's now taking pictures, like he took a picture with
Ella Langley, but it blurred it put a smiley over
the face, Like why would you not show your face?
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (42:45):
One one. That's what reminded me of when they got
to their hotel and I think maybe in Oklahoma City.
They said, where are a hotel in Oklahoma City? And
there was all this welcome stuff from Ella Langley because
that went viral. He said that they sent them all
the stuff and then they went to the show and
met her. But they're blurring out the face. Seems shady.
(43:07):
Great bit like respect? Do you hate that? Like when
people make stuff up for a great bit. I think
it's awesome. I just don't know if I believe it.
And everybody's so dialed into what a This is so
fun a guy from Germany exploring the South for the
first time. That's why it's viral, right, Yeah, because that's
how it started. It's just a performance art basically. I
don't know that it's fake. It's so weird. That blurred Mike,
(43:31):
what you think.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
Yeah, it's probably some kind of social experiment.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
It's a good one.
Speaker 4 (43:36):
Yeah, something wrong happening, Yeah, yeah, yeah, he.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
Didn't like punch Ella.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
Do you follow the girl rowing from California to Hawaii?
Speaker 1 (43:46):
No, we've talked about her, but I don't know where
she is now. She's about halfway just now. We've been
talking about that for two weeks.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
About halfway, that's like three months. Yeah, dude, it's crazy.
She and a couple of days ago. She has to
check every once in a while, she has to check
the bar of her or her boat or whatever she's
rowing in, just to make sure there's no damage underneath
or whatever. So she has to jump in the middle
of the ocean to like go under.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
Is there a boat trailing her?
Speaker 2 (44:11):
No, there's no one there. She has instrumentation and everything
in there.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
So is she doing satellite feed?
Speaker 4 (44:16):
Then?
Speaker 1 (44:17):
How is she able to connect and send videos? And
it's a good question. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
I don't know, but I mean she her little craft
is like a little boat with all kinds of radio communication.
She can communicate with ports, she can communicate with other
boats in the area. It's a pretty sophisticated craft.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I believe her. I don't think this is the Germany
guy driving through Tuscaloosa.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
Yeah, I just she's starting to look like castawaighted, like
where she's like burning up, you.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
Know, like Andy in the office when he goes on
the boat. You guys remember that.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
But not a beard, No, no beard, no beard, Just
like she's getting really burnt up.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
You worried about her? You think she makes it? I
think she makes it. How does she do? Food? Is
all that she brought with her? Does she catch food
on the way now she has just a bunch of
food in there? How does she do water? Does she
clean and filter the saltwater? I think she catches rain water? Wow?
No way? Yeah? What if it doesn't rain? So she's rated?
I think it always rains, right, does there? It always
(45:15):
rain on the ocean. Never been out long enough to.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
Now, Yeah, I mean we've just been on little fishing boats.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Never been out long enough to know the ocean. Didn't
make me sick. I did an episode of my net
Geo show. We went miles out on a fishing boat,
and I vomited the whole time. Yeah, you guys were
fishing Halibu, right, The craziest thing about that, because I
have never been that far out in the ocean for
any reason whatsoever. And we go out in this fishing
boat miles ten miles off the coast, and it's so
(45:43):
I'm vomiting because I get so sea sick. I get
motion sick really bad. And when we're dragging those halibut
nets to catch the halibit, not only are we catching
a bunch of like stingrays, oh yeah, yeah, and you're
dragging the bottom when we pull them in. I don't
think it's the bottom. It's not because the halibits are
you saw them, but their house in the ocean. I
don't think you can reach the bottom where we are.
(46:04):
Oh really, I don't think you can like touch the bottom.
So why are they half like white and half like colorful?
I don't have the answer.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
I always thought that the halibut swim like side or
maybe don't think of a flounder, But they swim sideways
like they're on their sides.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I can understand that, but I didn't know it was
the bottom. Will you guys do some research for me
on this where halibut lives? Yeah, because if you're that
out in the ocean. I don't think it's shallow.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
It is my only And you went straight out ten miles, Yeah,
straight up. You didn't see his land anywhere.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Now, no, no, no, that's crazy. So we get out there,
we're dragging these nets and you pull them in and
there's a bunch of halibit and there's these random sting
rays and you got to throw them back in. But
you wear gloves. Did you touch the sting ray? Yeah,
but with gloves you throw them back over and put
them back in the water. But the craziest part was
when you're dragging those nets, these like seals they want
(46:57):
to eat the halibit, and you see them all coming
up around like trying to eat it as you're trying
to go on. Yeah, wo crazy thing. What do you
guys see?
Speaker 4 (47:08):
Is there anything in a flat fish?
Speaker 1 (47:11):
No, halibu? That's a flatfish, is a flounder hal Any
of those are called flat fish?
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Oh okay, yes, stupid, Yeah, I have any idea too.
So what are they bottom fish?
Speaker 1 (47:24):
They swim on their sides on the sea floor, So yeah,
they're in the bottom, dude, But how are we catching
them on the net because they ain't no seafloor says.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
They come up to the the shallow during the summer.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
I don't know, dude, if we're dry, Hey, maybe maybe
I could just jump out the boat and I could touch.
And I didn't know that even though you were a
way out. Yeah, I'm ten miles out and I jump
out like I'm swimming. What the heck is like? Just
put your feet down? Oh okay, and look up. If
you're ten miles out, how deep is the ocean? I mean,
(47:58):
I have a computer too, I can do this. I'm
it depends on what.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
They've been the majority of their lives, lying on the
sea floor or swimming horizontally along it.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Then was I doingny Halibu? Yeah? You were? I remember
that episode for sure. Hmmm, let's see it.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Maybe you really weren't out, like ten miles out even
a mile out though, maybe you just went out.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
Bobby Bones took on deep sea fishing and battle seasickness
in the High Seas Hall episode of the neat Geo
series Breaking Bobby Bones. He traveled to San Francisco to
work with a third generation boat captain, attempting to haul
in five hundred pounds of fish. Oh not necessarily halib it, Yeah,
but I think it's where we're catching. Have you eaten halibut?
(48:40):
I don't know, Like, were you able to take any home?
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Like?
Speaker 2 (48:42):
See, if I would have done that, show would have
been like, hey, can you back up about ten of.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Those for me? That guy, that was his livelihood, I know, Okay,
I didn't buy it from him. I don't want to
take his livelihood. Dude, you can buy market price. I
didn't take any fish.
Speaker 4 (48:54):
Now looking at a picture of you holding two giant halibate,
Oh really yeah.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
Oh that's pretty cool. Can you text me that, dude?
Hall of it is so good? I don't remember that.
I know I still stick the whole time. And then
he would go back and sell it, and he'd be
gone from his family for weeks at a time, and
he would sleep in his boat down at the bottom. Okay,
I'm going to google one other thing. If I'm okay
five miles. It just depends where you are out in
(49:22):
the generic five miles? Can I touch? Is it still
knee deep? How deep is it? Okay? Is the depth
of five miles out ranges from under one hundred feet
near the shallow coastlines over ten thousand feet near steep
drop off trenches. So maybe these boats have really heavy
(49:47):
and they go way down deep.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
Or maybe you traveled ten miles but just along the coastline.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
No, you don't even know about us. But you had
your You had your head down, throwing up up the
whole time. How deep do halibit fishing nets go? Good question?
Is it a good question? Yes, it is. This could
solve our mistayes halib our bottom dwelling fish. So commercial
(50:16):
fishing nets, like bottom trawls and recreational landing nets operate
directly on or near the seafloor. But how far down
do they go? They go down about forty feet the
best depth for halibut fishing fifteen to four hundred feet.
(50:38):
Maybe it's just a mix of that was pretty heavy
and went low and we didn't go out to the thousand. Yeah. Possibly.
And Mike sent me a picture of me with some
fish and you.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
You took off from San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
We drove right by Alcatraze. That's so cool. Look at
this picture of me. Oh you like it? Yeah, like
a ballard.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Dang those are huge, man, there's a reflection on it.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
My hands.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Wow, dude, I like that jumpsuit too. Yeah, look like
a real fisherman. Did you have like a hat like
a beanieon?
Speaker 1 (51:12):
It's cold out there. That's really cool. And there's a halibut
all on the floor the Yeah, I look at that.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
See you see how the ones you're holding are dark,
but then the ones at the bottom are white because
that white part that's that's the bottom.
Speaker 1 (51:22):
Yeah. I think if I flipped the fish over, it's
white on the other side. Yeah, dude, that's some good
eating right there. Okay, I wrote balancing, catching halibate and
throwing up in the ocean. It's a gift. Take Today,
I'm in San Francisco doing some fishing like I've never
done before. For sure, they got footage of me violently vomiting.
What's the date on that? Do you have a date?
Crab with catch crabs? Oh, that's cool, me vomiting on
(51:44):
the floor. Oh, that's that's me with alcatraze behind me. Dan,
that's so cool. The date was twenty twenty one. Wow,
May March fifth, twenty twenty one, so you would as
soon as like you'd be looking. It's Freddy from withel
Langley from Germany is my next scroll down on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
Look at that is that wimby? Hold on, no, no,
it's a fake face.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
His that's Christiano Ronaldo and that's also his avatar on
his page.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
Got it okay? So who are those other people?
Speaker 1 (52:15):
He's the people he's riding with the we're in your shirt,
the LFELLA shirt. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Go
back to the boat.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
So you would throw up and then they would say,
all right, Bobby, you gotta get up. We're about to shoot.
And then you would just kind of be like you'd
fake it.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
No, I would throw up and then I would gag
so nothing else would come out, and they'd go, let
us know when you're ready, and I would go, I
think I got three minutes in me and I would
get up and we would start shooting again, and then
I filled the gag was like, and then the cut
(52:52):
and then they would get it and they'd hope for
something to come out, and then I'd lay back down
on the bottom.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Oh so you're throwing up? Was part of the the shows.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
They had to make it because because they were breaking
you breaking me? Yeah, got it? Yep, all right, that'll
do it. We did food, jelly Roll, You're an LFLLA.
Uh huh? The guy driving across the South. Yes, the German.
I don't know how we got talking about fish and
then we got back on, uh, how we got the fish.
(53:22):
We got a boat. Oh, oh girl, the girl.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
Oh we got Kelsey rowing all the way to Hawaii
from California. Then you like, I can't do the ocean.
