Bobby, Eddie and Brandon Ray take turns choosing their own team of the greatest music that technically isn’t even real. From fictional bands and songs created for movies to memorable TV performances and unexpected musical characters, each of them tries to build the strongest lineup. Along the way, Bobby makes a case for the California Raisins; the guys revisit the music from Pure Country and debate whether a band still counts when the lead singer changes. It all comes down to Eddie’s final selection.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Hey, everybody, welcome to the Bobby Cast. We don't know
the topic. We're gonna draft something that has to do
with music that'll be thrown to us live. We're not
using any devices, no computers, no phones. We have Eddie
who is a musician?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Who is? What do you do?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I just love music?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Loves music, you know?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Brandon who singer, songwriter, great guitar player, a great singer.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Okay, that's too much?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Is he not?

Speaker 4 (00:30):
He is?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
And then me and so do you want to do
the order first before we do so? Up on the
screen if you're watching on Netflix, whoever it lands on
will be first, and then we'll go clockwise from whoever
finishes first.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Ready to spin.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yep, we did not know the topic yet. You probably
do if you're watching this.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Because it was up in the the title title. Yeah, like,
we don't know it yet, but you do.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
All right, Brandon will go first, and then we're going
that way clockwise.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So no phones. We don't even write and stuff Downang,
this is tough.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Mike will give us the topic, and Mike what will
be selecting today?

Speaker 5 (01:08):
We will be drafting the greatest fictional bands of all time?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Oh my god, Oh wow?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
What are the rules here.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
We're doing four rounds. They have to be fictional.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Okay, that's the only rule.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
That's a fictional band.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Okay, four rounds, Brandon, you have the first overall pick.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
And this is not Snake. We're just rolling in circles. Okay, Okay,
go ahead. I'm gonna go with Spinal Tap.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
I mean, that's really good, great movie.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I wonder we're gonna go to a I at the
I was gonna give Spinal Tap like a great credit,
but like young people know what Spinal Tap is.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Yeah, because they're in they're a new one.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, but that's just for the old people that watch it, right,
You're right.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
It wasn't that good, wasn't No.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, I don't know the younger people would know.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Final Tap.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I'm gonna go with. And I was sad this band
broke up because I really wanted to see them together.
They had a massive song. But when they broke up,
when the singer went solo, and it's because his manager
was with them, and you could tell when they were
playing in the garage when his manager was with them

(02:20):
that something was up.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
What are you talking?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Where are you going?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out the vibe of the
group just started to not be great, and it was
weird because you don't bring your manager in the garage
for a rehearsal.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Oh oh, it's Zach Attack, Zach.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Zach Morris Kelly. I think Slater was on drums. I
think Screech played keys. They were and not only that,
the people that they had hired to sing for them,
their voices sounded nothing like the actual people in the
Zach Attack.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Uh huh yeah, because like you would listen to there's
no way it's like.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
The lead singer like of mid forties black dude. It
just didn't look like what Zach Morris look like. And
they broke up friends forever jam I'm going.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Zack, didn't they have a key?

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Tar?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Like?

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Probably like one of them played a keuitar?

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I think it was at Lissa.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I feel like Lisa played a key.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Did somebody play guitar and then Screech played key We're
not gonna go to our.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Phones, so yeah, I don't. I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
We'll have to fall on Mike for that, but I.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Know Slater was on the drums. M yeah, right, I.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Would think Slater was a drummer. Mike what do you think?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
It was just a promo picture where Slater's holding a
key tar, but in the band there's not a keuitar.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh okay, and Zach's going.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Guitar okay, Eddie. Fictional fictional band.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I'm gonna be honest, it's kind of hard thinking of
a fictional band. So you I had one in mind,
which was kind of like B like a like a
a a middle of the road band. But after you
talked about Zack Attack, I thought about Jess and the Rippers.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
That was also gonna be my first one.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Dude, when Jesse comes down, you know, from the ropes
and he gets stuck, remember that.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, but he was a different person when that happened.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Oh that was something different.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
He he was like trying to change their image, and
he was like.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
John Stamos, is it?

Speaker 4 (04:21):
That's right?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Again, we have no research tools here, but Jesse and
Rippers did forever obviously, and then they went to Japan,
which is the reason I went to Japan, Yes, because
you that's the only reason.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Excellent band.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
But you think that the scene where he comes down
as the Vampire's yeah, I feel it was somebody.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Trying to change them.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, that was it.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
They were trying to change their image, That's what it was,
and they might have still be the Rippers.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
He came down as like goblin.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Yeah, yeah, he gets stuck.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
He's like, get me down from here, rock and roll, Mike,
what do you see, I'm hitting a different band.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Hold on, he's restarting on the fly.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
What I also loved are how the Rippers sometimes showed
up just kind of at the house.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Us the long hair.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Hey, Bobby, why don't you just text John Stamos.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I mean I could, Hey, man, what was the episode
when you got stuck on the wires?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
It had to be like Raven.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Oh my gosh, that sounds right. It is something like Raven.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Okay, I'm seeing vulture, vulture culture.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
And that's when his tongue was sticking.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Out solid pictough. My wife and I first danced at
our wedding with the Jesse and Therippers Forever, which was
a beach boy song sang by Dennis Wilson.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Right, yeah, I mean written by Dennis Wilson by Brian singing.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Probably.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Okay, So good pick, Thank you, Brandon.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I'm so glad neither of you stole this pick, because
this is this is one of my all time favorite movies.
This is a band that started in a garage. They
won a talent competition and Tom Hanks was actually their manager.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
That's so good.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
The Wonders, that thing you do that is so good.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I love that movie.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
That's such a good movie.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
And The Onneiders is funny because they wanted to spell
it different. Yeah, like The Beatles was spelled different, right, Yeah,
one the number one?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Oh, any, and then Tommy is like too complicated, We're
calling you the Wonders, and then they end up spelling
it Wonders with a w R.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Right.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
Well.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Steven Tyler's daughter in that.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah live, Yes, did she play the love interest yes,
of the lead the lead singer.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
And what's the lead singer? At one point married to
Jane Kramer.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
That would be a surprise to me. Oh, but I
did see the lead singer on an airplane once.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Coming from LA And it's one of those things where
you walk by him, you know.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I was walking down the aisle and I saw him
sitting there and like, that guy looks familiar, Mike.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
They were married from twenty ten to twenty eleven.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Wo dude, what's his name?

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Yeah, what's his name?

Speaker 5 (07:00):
His name is Jonathan. I can't say his last name.
Shah's c h A E c h.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Let me tell you something. I quit.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
I quit, literally I quit. I quit, mister White.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
That's so good job, good job. Okay, So Brandon has
spinal tap in the Wonders. What a great tour I have,
Zach Attack, I only have like two other ones in
my head to pick four a piece. There's one from
I don't know what to give Eddie any hints.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah, don't because I just stole Jesting the Rippers from you.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Okay, I nailed it. I got it. This should have
been my first number one. Zack Attack is legit.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
What do you got?

Speaker 2 (07:57):
I have to go to the judge for this one? Fictional?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
But can it count someone by the name of Hannah Montana?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Is that a badly good It's music. It's fictional music.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Because because we can do fictional artists. Hmmm, because that's
a whole different thing. I think it needs to be
a band.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Oh man, fictional artist.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
That's like a whole new other episode.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
And I want to think about it, sing and put
out music.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Did your people, what fictional artists would you pick?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Selena is real, I got news for you.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
No, But like a fictional artist would be like, uh.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, it's so easy. Pick one. Yeah, Chris Gaines.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Chris Ganes is a fictional artist, real artist.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
No, that's Garth.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Okay, hey, same, Miley Cyrus. Chris Ganes never that movie
never came out. The album did, yeah, but the movie didn't.
There's the TV show. All this stuff is from a
movie or a TV show, not just music. You could
say a lot of artists are fictional, these fake names
and plays on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Does he start start up?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
He start us?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
That guy?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
That's that's That's not like a production. It's gotta be
in a production where they're playing a character.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
M m okay.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Also, we're making these rolls up as we go.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Okay, but I feel like if you do Hannah Montana,
you know what.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Open it up.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Then as long as there's a show or movie about
them and they're playing that fictional person, you can have it.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Because now now that we're thinking, we can't think of
any Oh, I'll think of something, okay, Okay, yeah I can't.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yeah, she's fictional vulture, Hannah Montana and.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
You're a hater. Oh my gosh, this is tough because
there were was all TV show and there's a movie
that's that's solid.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
So like, gosh, I can't think of the name of
the band, but I know Marty McFly was the singer
for him.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, you ain't gonna get's gonna care that want to
be a good Marty McFly, Yeah, but no one even
knows who that is.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
He plays the guitar.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Everyone knows who Martin McFly is. Your kids are gonna
love it.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, but if you can't name the band, people that
will see this, we won't even know.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
You're giving me a crap for spinal tap?

Speaker 4 (09:59):
What about Marvin Barry?

Speaker 2 (10:01):
He called Shock, But mom.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I can't think of that band. That's what I was
trying to think of. But honestly the only thing I
can think of right now. And I'm gonna have trouble
with number three, but I'm gonna go with still Water
from Almost Famous.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I thought it was called Sweetwater because that's who I
was gonna pick really good one.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
That was who was in my head, and I would
to pick Sweetwater because I thought it was what I
was Still Water, yeah, which was loosely based on the
real band of.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I believe it was Zeppelin, I think was who he
toured with because Cameron Crowe, who is the writer and
director of that movie, wrote that because he was the character.
He was that kid when he was younger. He wrote
for Rolling Stone Magazine or Cream Magazine?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Are you making? Are we guessing it's led Zeppelin?

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Like?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
What are you saying?

Speaker 5 (10:52):
I'm a few different bands that it came from.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Okay, what do they say?

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Led Zeppelin? Almond Brothers Band and the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
An amalgamy they do to resemble the look the look
of Yeah, I don't even want to say their name
because I say I'm like the nut.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Okay, So Brandon, back over to you. You have Spinal
Tap and the Wonders.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
That's so good.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
I didn't want to say this one because I feel
like it's a cop out. But I'm just drawing a blank.
I'm gonna go with Josie and the Pussycats.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
It's a good one. That's one of the only other
ones I have in my head right now.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Dude, I'm struggling with number three.

Speaker 7 (11:31):
The Bobby Cast will be right back. Welcome back to
the Bobby Cast.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Do you have options or are you thinking of one?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Well, so I would talk it out.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
But you don't want to give me any ideas, and
I'm telling you right now, I need ideas.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I don't think. I mean she was an artist on
a show. I'm not picking her because I don't think
it'll make sense. But I'm trying to figure out anybody
that played music like you. Ever heard the number one
smashed Smelly Cat?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
I've heard.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
I've heard it like Phoebe Buffet had Smelly Cat, But
I don't know if that it's a character. But I
think I can just beat Smelly Cat because I'd have
to put Phoebe Buffet Smelly Cat for people to even
understand what we're talking about.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Okay, but I'm gonna hold on to that. You guys
can use it too. If you run out, I don't
need it. You have more? Yeah, I got one?

Speaker 4 (12:38):
You one?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
I got one, A good one. Oh yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Is it an artist or a band?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
I'm not saying.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Okay, hmmm, I.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Have one, but I don't know if it's strong enough.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Dude, mine's Phoebe Buffet.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
But it may that even may be stronger than mine.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Thinking of like music movies, See, I have another television show.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
That's very zack attack like, because did you ever watch.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
Surf Dudes with the attitudes kind of groovy. Lead night.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
No. California Dream.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Spin off of Save by the Bell looks similar show.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
I remember that was their thing. They were a band.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
What were they called. I think they were called California Dreams.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Ah, that would make sense, which.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Leads me to my third one that I loved, And
they had a massive hit and I may not go
with them. For guys, you don't even know if you
don't know about California Raisins back in.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
The yeah, bro, you.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
You just went number one right there.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
So I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go California Raisins.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Those guys are good. Did the Keepler else sing at all?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Man, that's really good, dude, Dang, that's really good.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
For those that don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
That was a massive campaign, yes, for literal California Raisins,
and they did and their commercial I heard it through
the grape vine and it turned into toys. It turned
into every we had. We had all those toys, action figures. Yeah,
I have an A plus one. You do yeah it
just oh you probably have mine. I have an A

(14:30):
plus one. Okay, wait, so you guys are done.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
No, we have four four each, oh for each? Okay, Gosh,
I'm gonna struggle is your movie or TV?

Speaker 4 (14:38):
So let me just go with it. Let me just
go with what I have and then forget the order.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Mine is so good that I think Brandon has it.
I don't know why I didn't go with this one earlier.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
So Keebler, we're gonna do Dusty from Pure Country.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Oh, that's a great one.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Now Bobby doesn't even know. Did you watch.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
When You're here Twin Fields? Dusty? So, but didn't he
do George Straight songs?

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Who whoa, whoa, whoa whoa?

Speaker 2 (15:05):
But his name was Dusty.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
I'm not saying it as a count least I was
saying the climb.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
That's why, Hannahan.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
I think Dusty sang Dusty songs. George sang the soundtrack.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, isn't that the same thing? Not?

Speaker 1 (15:20):
No, Dusty didn't sing George Straight songs in the movie.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Uhh, so is no George Strait? No?

Speaker 1 (15:25):
No, But the songs that Dusty sang were any of
those George Straight songs?

Speaker 6 (15:27):
Well?

Speaker 4 (15:28):
I guess later they were?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Okay, in the movie, his character Dusty has the songs.
But George Strait released an album called Pure Country, the soundtrack.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
All the Dusty songs, so it's almost like George covered Dusty.
I'm not hating on your pick. You got all defensive.
I'm just asking a question about the movie. A favorite
favorite song from Pure Country?

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Oh, I mean I crossed my Heart?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh so good?

Speaker 4 (15:53):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (15:53):
You just want to like, wame into the Road begins.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Do you know what the movie's about?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Oh, dude, I'm gonna Taylor's in it.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Yeah, he's Buddy Chandler.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah, I'm going to guess it's about a guy trying
to make it in country music.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
No, no, Dusty, man, he's already a superstar. He's Oh
he's dust He's superstar, dude. He is the top of
the world. He's like more than a welling, like killing it.
And then he's just you know what, man, I'm tired.
I'm tired of the sweet Matthew McConaughey, the lights and
the lights it ain't mean.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
And then he quits.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
He's like, I want to go back to my roots
and do what just to find him, just so he
goes back home.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Dude, can I haven't seen it?

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Can I spoil it?

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Yeah? Everybody watching, I'm going to give you a second.
It's a nineteen ninety three movie straight straight to home video. Mike,
have you ever seen this?

Speaker 6 (16:42):
No?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I haven't either.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
I have to spoil it because it's so good at
what they do. Okay, So then Dusty leaves.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
He's like, m I A.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
They wake up in the morning, he's not there, he's
not on the bus, He's nowhere. So the label freaks out.
They're just like, we need to put someone up there.
Buddy Jackson from the road Crew he's coaching, kill him
that he dressed them like him. They dress him up
like Dusty and he just lip syncs.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
So it's not a new artist they're putting out there.
They're trying to make him look like trying to continue
the Dusty thing.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Hilarious.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
It's so, I mean, it's probably horrible now.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
It's probably bad back in the day.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
That was the movie.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
And then and then Kyle Chandler, the Buddy Jackson, starts
liking the attentions.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
It's like, I want to be an artist.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Yeah, So does he continue being Dusty or do his
own thing?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
No, he tries to just be the real Dusty but
it doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
George Strait goes back to Uh he joined. He's a
ranch hand.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Yeah, he falls in love with on a ranch and
lives the pure country lash. Does he ever go back
to music? Yeah he does, Yes again, Yes, he sure does.
All they needed was that break.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Man, Speaking of lead singer changes, you know the Fray,
they don't have their original lead singer, and so the
lead singer now is their old guitar player. And I
watched a video of them playing acoustic a couple of
days ago, and I loved the Fray all their albums,
even the ones after they kind of fell off with
that same thing or the ball guy.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Loved them all.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
And I listened to the new guy saying not really
and kind of sounds like the original guy.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
So it works because we kind of made a stink
about that.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, it would you go to see the Fray if
they're playing across the street?

Speaker 6 (18:26):
He was.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
This guy was good and he sounded close to what
the original guy but not full original guy. I was impressed.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
That's good. Would I go? I don't want to go anywhere.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Would you go to any concerts? But it's across the street.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
But I know there's free food? Am I the only
person watching? There's a there's there's a group. Okay, it's
a small show at three.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
It was good enough that I remember to tell you, Hey,
I jumped to conclusions, yeah that it's not the same.
It's not the same, but it's better than I thought
it was gonna be.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Because they were.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Doing I found God on the corner of the nomos, like, oh.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Those guys are pretty good.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
So okay, okay, wow, okay, you have Dusty from Pure Country.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Hey, this is homework for everybody. Bobby, you included go
watch Pure Country. You just spoiled it. Why would I
watch it now? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
Sorry, everybody, you should still watch it. The acting is great.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Oh yeah, sure, you just said it as a phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Brandon, you have a fourth pick.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I don't know why I didn't think of this from
the beginning, but I mean you said, hand the Montana,
I'm gonna have to go. We're gonna have to walk
hard with Dewey Cox.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Oh good, Okay, he's still my number four.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
That's all I had. Dylan's like, yeah, I had, Oh
my gosh.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
One of the clips came up on TikTok the other day,
walking in there smoking marijuana.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
You don't want this doing.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Well?

Speaker 4 (19:59):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (20:00):

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Trade, he goes, He goes, I bet it's pretty expensive. Huh.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Actually, no, it's really affordable.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I bet you get addicted though.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Right, Actually it's not addictive.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
That's a really good movie.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Gosh, so my number four is so strong it could
have been number one.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Oh wow?

Speaker 4 (20:28):
And what I just I have nothing?

Speaker 1 (20:32):
A very famous drummer played wildly though it almost didn't
make sense with how wild this drummer played, that this
band could stay on.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
What do you mean by wild?

Speaker 2 (20:45):
His style of how he played extremely wild?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
You know, I probably knows that my find knows that
this drummer, Yeah, yeah, and wild John Bonham, that'd be
led Zeppelin. This is like a fictious is a complete fictional.

Speaker 2 (22:56):

which is the dumbest thing ever.

Speaker 1 (23:28):

him up on stage. All of our dreams. I don't
know that's what happens in.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
The movie, but anyway, he ends up being the lead
singer of that band. But like he instantly turns into
a rock star, and dude, it's crazy life.

Speaker 2 (25:17):

That would have been such a strong dang, such a
strong pool. Okay, go ahead, School of Rock from the
School of Rock.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah, I thought of that one. I just didn't know
what their band was called Muppet Babies Band. So it's
School of Rock easier than you thought, dang it.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
Okay, they have the Bardon bellas from Pitch Perfect.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
No, I don't know that.

Speaker 2 (28:13):

Buffy Marvin Barry in the Starlighter.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
I think Phoebe Buffet is more well known.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Okay when that was on my list that you guys
didn't say K Pop demon Hunters.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
Oh, I didn't even think that was fake.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
I don't know what that is. I know it's a
Netflix song.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
Yeah, that's a band.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yeah, Hunters is.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
The band, but the movie is K Pop demon Hunters.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
So I know Hunterricks does the song, but they don't
really do the song.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
They are the fictional band in the movie.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
This is like K Pop demon Hunters is the movie.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Yeah, so okay, never seen the movie Walk with Love
the songs George Straight is Hunters, K Pop demon Hunters
is Dusty, No.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Pure k pop. Demon Hunters is pure country.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
What's the name of the band, Hunterricks? I thought that
was a real band.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
It became a band after so it was a fictional
band for the movie. It was just a collection of
saying who did all the music for it? And then
it got so successful that now they're kind of a band.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Oh they're on tour right now. I'm getting angry. I
don't understand you. And we used Dusty as they so, okay,
what else?

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (30:13):
You guys know the Scott Pilgrim Versus the World Sex?
But bam is the band Michael Sarah.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Or in together together? And they had a song you
remember that you plus Me equals us who They were a.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Funny ye they were.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
It was like the comedy, but it was like a
Nickelodeon comedy of a boy band. It was like an
old guy. He was like fifty, but they were making
fun of boy bands. So they had every stereotype and
like the bad boy and all was fight people all
the time. And then it had like there's always like
the older one in every boy band.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Fat and bald.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Yeah, they had a song called you plus Me equals
Us that's what you're talking.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
No, he was Rush from Tom Rush was a show
when I was growing up. Literally it was like a
boy band.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
It was about like their live They were a fictional band, but.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
They somebody from That's Trying to Go Country right Now
was playing at CMA Fest.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
The James James. I don't remember all their names.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
I saw a clip and he's like, you know, I
found my home now, And that's what everybody does when
they got nowhere else to go there.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Like I think I'm gonna try country back on the Country.

Speaker 5 (31:23):
James Maslow, I think James who Maslow?

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Okay he was. I think he was a hot one
of the group. Yeah, okay, who else you got?

b Sharps.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
They had baby on board.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
That's also on the list anything else.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
And the Archies from the Archie Show.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
What's crazy about that is not a real band had
a number one song The Archie Bunker. The Archies was
a cartoon and except the comic strip.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
That's the redhead that kind of had his hair porking.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
What's the name of the song, Sugar Sugar Sugar show?

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Wait, that's from the arch that's my real band.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
It was all is a cartoon character some studio musicians.

the comic strip was a band.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
It really wasn't because there was no music. So they
got some studio people together did that song.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I went number one.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
That's crazy. I love that.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Yeah, that's a good story.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
So what's the band? What's Sugar Sugar?

Speaker 6 (32:24):
Like?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
What's if I look at the archies right, it's.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
The that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Were you see what the California Dreams band is called?
I would guess it would be called California Dreamers, but
I didn't pick it because I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
I remember, I just.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Got I would California Dreams would come on, I'd be like,

Melrose Place was to nine two one, Like I'm loyal
to nine O two one.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Oh, I'm not watching this crap.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Just California Dreams.

Speaker 3 (32:55):

the real band The Revolution from Purple Rain.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Mm hmm, from the movie Purple Rain.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
This one I was an actual fan of and I
know probably five of their songs go ahead and it
started fictional and it ended up being real and they
had hits and they're awesome, but it was it was
a TV show.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
What era?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah, I feel like is it a cartoon?

Speaker 2 (35:17):
If I give you too much? Now? The Monkeys Monkeys.

Songs like the Last Train to Clarksville and I'll Meet
You at the Station or the original I'm a Bully

Smash Mouth did their song, of course, the theme song
we come Walking down the Street, how about day Dream
Believer and Yeah, I'm not just stepping Stone, so they
ended up being a really good band.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
But that's a fictional band.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
So I think along the same lines. I might be wrong,
but I feel like Herman's Hermits was also like a
fictional band that they made a movie about.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
It feels like a real band, Buddy Holly type era.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Sam As like the Monkeys, because they were British.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
It was. The movie was called Herman's Hermits. No, what
was the movie?

Speaker 3 (36:17):
I forget what the movie is called, but it's the
Herman's Hermits was like the band in the movie.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Okay, what? Oh?

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
Does that sound right?

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Mike?

Speaker 5 (36:25):
Hold on the movie?

Speaker 3 (36:27):
I'm not sure what the movie?

Speaker 6 (36:28):
Who?

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Well, just ask who is Herman's Hermit's.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, it sounds like a real band, but it just
could be because.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
And they sing, you know, Henry the Eighth I am.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
That's why I know who is Herman's Hermits. That's a
great name, Okay. Herman's Hermits was one of the biggest
bands of the British Invasion during the mid nineteen sixties.
The band was fronted by Peter Noon, who was only
fifteen years old. Although his name wasn't Herman, fans named
him Herman because of his resemblance to Herman Munster.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
I don't see anything about thing about it.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
But they're in a movie, right, Mike, Yeah, okay, maybe not.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
I don't think they're fictional.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
That could be wrong, there's real, it could be Wow.
They also did Missus Brown You got a Lovely Doughta
sing it Missus Brown, you got a Lovely Daughta.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
He was fifteen. You know what's crazy too? And I
watch the videos back like Silver Chair, so they were young,
so he's like seventeen.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember that. I remember that being
a storyline.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
The trio formed in Australia when the members were twelve.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
And then I just love that bad. Yeah, that's what's
up from the stump, Mike. Do you want to put
them in and see who wins?

Speaker 5 (37:37):
Yeah, you want to see it.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
They're looking at it. Brandon final half is so strong.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
I mean, it's gonna be Brandon or Bobby.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Well, yeah, of course you're not gonna win.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Here's rible honorable mention Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
Oh goodness, Brandon honorable mention.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
That should be a good Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Can I have that instead of Phoebe?

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Mike, who is number three scroll it.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Down me way, yes, the California Raisins, they don't they
don't give me that they're memorable. The mump and Baby
it feels like a deep cut pick that doesn't have
the same impact.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Dude, Look how look how AI hits you with the
California Raisins are memorable, but more an advertising mascot.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Than got me on that one.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Okay, second place, Edie, that's me. You could argue that
this team has the most real musician credibility. All right,
go ahead, down what if there was that band named
Poop that's actually pretty good accounting?

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Hey, what about us?

Speaker 1 (38:44):
And number one is Brandon Brandon wins Spinal Tap is
the greatest fictional band ever The Wonders, Josie puts against
Dewey Cock's no weak spots.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
Uh yeah, good job.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Good job, Brandon, very strong.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
You guys have some great picks to you. I feel
like I was cheated, dude, I had Poop. I was
