Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
How you truck drivers doing? We have missed you, guys.
It's been a couple of days. We try to do
a podcast every other day. Boys, you're there once you're there.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, I'm here.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
We got any HR professionals there calling out to any
of our tug boaters?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
And firefighters. I think that's everybody. Oh well, how could
I almost forget our crop sharecroppers? Now, farmers don't work
on Fridays, And I'm telling you there ain't a lot
of furt in the dirt around me. If it ain't
corn huskins season, I don't really think they're doing anything right.
(00:41):
There's one it's just grown in with weeds. So he's
doing something with the nutrents. So I'm telling you right
now it's slow season. There ain't a lot going on
in those fields. Wow, that's crazy, and there's a lot
of fields, guys. I'm not just making this up. I
read on the Facebook page. Oh it's funny to hear
them talk about it. Well, yeah, we're not in the fields.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I'm not working them, but I drive by him every
single day. So when it's pumpkin sison, I'm telling you guys,
when it's corn shucking sison. I'm telling you guys right now,
they're chilling in their barns playing basketball. For all we know.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
They're doing French the French hick from French Lick.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Interesting reference. Have no idea what you're telling. Bird.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
He used to shoot on his farm on the dirt grass,
you know what I mean. With the corn in the background.
That's how he got good the sycamores, the French hicic
from French lick Cheeze. Yeah. I don't see much corn
around me either. The only corn I see is in
a can at the grocery store. Seeing You wouldn't know
that because we're in Nashville ten fifteen minutes outside of
(01:44):
Nashville ten there's corn that's wild. It's unbelievable. And we
just laugh, me and brother, because we know about that world.
Nobody else does. Your neighbor does.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
When it is changing, I mean, it's gonna be sixteen lanes.
They had the whole thing shut down again this morning.
The ass tore out of it. I drove went to
the first exit and nothing but cones and cops. Those
are two things I don't fuck with. And then I
go to the next exit and there's a huge hole.
So I could have went around the cones, but you're
(02:20):
gonna do something to your vehicle. It's an active construction site.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
So as you say they're cleaning up the roads or
they're destroying the roads, I don't understand, because one day
you tell me it's great, next day the ass is
torn out of it.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's different stuff they're working on. It's stuff they can't
do during the day. And so then I go to
my fourth option. Don't even the third option that was
just messed up too. The fourth option is the train
across from Hooters and it's wide open, so they must
have just been doing work for a four mile stretch
to where they do Like, I don't know the cabling
(02:54):
under the road, I don't know stuff they can't do
while cars are flying across it. But they're going to
open it up. Like Atlanta, Dude, Atlanta, you ever go there?
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Man? They got so many lanes and it doesn't matter.
It's still stop and go traffic all the time.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
That's what it's gonna be to my house.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Houston, same thing. They got six thousand lanes clogged with people.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
But the good news is those courses up by me.
How it takes time after we finish up on a Friday. Yeah,
not anymore. It's gonna be eight lanes in each direction.
You're gonna fly. I means more people are gonna be
heading up to those courses. Fine, but your house to
mine twenty five minutes flat. That's what I do in
the morning. It'll be like that during rush hour.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
That would be nice because trying to go up to
your neck of the woods to see you and brother,
I mean, it just takes so long.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
And I haven't played golf in four months. At the
course of course every day on the back of patio
hole in one yesterday.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Whoa, you've got a hole in one. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
There was finally no wind because you never realize the
effect the wind has on a ball. I mean, the
players are right on the PGA Championship. Wind is a
very big factor and you don't realize it on the
course a couple deep. But it was finally no wind fifteen.
I was like, this is the time I do it
shots perfectly. You're able to just square it up. Absolutely's
(04:09):
hid it in the air and just dunked it. Told
Baser caught it on the ring cam. I mean, just
such a proud moment. That I was able to do
at PGA weekend.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Man. You know what's crazy is I always do these
golf pools, like for the majors, and Jacob sent the
golf pool for a PGA Championship yesterday morning. I'm sitting
here at work and I realized I totally forgot to
fill it out, didn't even do it. Totally forgot. The
PGA Championship was this week and I.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Think it started early. I mean I'm talking six fifteen am.
So unless you got it at the before the morning, Corny,
you weren't gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
No, No, I didn't get it. And I tried to
click on it and said, sorry, this is closed. Would
you like to see the leaderboard? And I looked at
the leaderboard. My name was my name was Bennett, and
I wasn't in it because I didn't fill out a team.
So I'm just sitting on the sidelines this week. So
I think it's the least sexy of the majors. Like
I don't care about The PGA Championship is great, but
it seems like it doesn't get as much hype as
(05:04):
the Masters, the US Open, the British Open, the Open
Championship and you want to speaking a whole one, You
want to feel good about yourself. I was on Facebook yesterday.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I didn't know what we were doing feeling yourself.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
No, no, no, I mean this is just this is
a tell me something good.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I didn't know we were doing the big show.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
And uh, my buddy Rusty that I went to high
school with, he has three kids and ones like, uh,
maybe fifteen or sixteen. I don't know how old he is,
but he's really good at golf, really keeping up with him.
And well, I can't ages of kids. I can't keep
up with. That's there's too many kids in this world
for me to know exactly how old all these people's
(05:45):
kids are.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Oh and don't worry, they'll tell you about them, so
you don't even really have to guess right or wrong.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
No, no, no, I'd like to see the updates because it's
pretty impressive.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
But I mean, scuba rolls in yesterday. It's my tenth anniversary. Awesome.
Wasn't keeping track, Kevin, it's my kid's first birthday some thanks,
wasn't keeping track?
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, So I looked on Facebook yesterday and he said,
my boy finally did it hooked up? And there it
is his boy holding a golf ball, and he got
a hole in one par three, one hundred and seventy
four yards. What club selection you're going with there, ray,
(06:24):
one hundred and seventy four yards. You getting a three wood?
What are we doing for me?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
That's a wood? Yeah, because I don't like overswinging. I'm
not gonna do my seven and just have to swing
out of my shoes.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh, he said, nice, easy seven iron hole in one
hundred and seventy four yards.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Oh no way.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I'm like, you want to make me feel bad about
my life in my golf game. This little sixteen year
old kid is hitting a seven iron one hundred and
seventy four yards. No problem, thanks man, But your.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Swing isn't my swing, and your clubs aren't my clubs.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
It's no way.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
All about how you finish it up. Like I always
tried to impress, like, oh, one hundred and fifty out,
gotta do a seven iron, dude, Now I'm reaching for
a four. I don't care. I'm not overswinging.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
No, no, I don't care. But I was just like,
that is pretty incredible toy that he could hit the
ball a seven iron one hundred and seventy four yards.
To me, that seems crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
And my favorite is the people that actually go and
get it all tested and stuff. These ammys, which we are.
We're a bunch of ammis. We are ammys, We're Rooks,
And hey, I hit my seven iron one hundred and sixty.
I went and got tested at dis dis Guys, when
you're on the course and there's wind and it's uneven
grass and sometimes some of the grass is unkempt, trust me,
(07:41):
it's not the same measurement. This isn't a PGA style course.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
We're playing on. Your measurements are never.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Gonna be the same, Ain't that right? So what I'm
telling you is, don't ever go get measured for all that.
You can do a rough estimate, like for my father
in law, kind of write it down. He's like, hey,
what do I hit my nine? And I have a
little booklet. I wrote it all down for him, so
I know. But guys, it's never gonna be if you
have a booklet. No, it's in my phone. So he's like,
number nine. I'm oh, you hit pops, you hit that
about one twenty. We'll go get you to nine. So, guys,
(08:12):
the measurement at Dix come on, if much you're playing
on a course in Hawaii or the one I played
on in Knekun, stop, it's always going to be all
over the place.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, But it also reminds me that there is so
like the dream for everyone is to get a hole
in one.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I just got one yesterday. I know, on a fifteen
yard course equivalent to a ninety yard shot, So it's
not necessarily a hole, it's a chip.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, and just what a feeling. I mean, that would
have to be the most elating feeling in the world.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Well, I didn't even have I had my house slippers on,
so I couldn't even go look at it. I'm pretty sure.
I'm pretty sure I dunked it. I gotta go check today.
I didn't have my shoes on.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I was going to be it. Wait wait, you didn't
even go look out of words, like the biggest celebration
is when you hit it in You got to go look, right.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
That's what I'm saying. It was just like conflicted in
so many different ways. I just got a hole in one.
I got my bunny slippers onto my pajamas. I was
just hitting like five shots before bed, and I dunked
it and the light. It's kind of getting darker out,
and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
They got hold of one.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Think I got a hold of one. And there's nobody
there with me. I'm just celebrating by myself. And then
I was like, I ain't gonna go put my shoes on,
go to bed. I gotta check today though, I think
I dunked it.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah, when you get home, I'm gonna need an update
on the ground. I need to know did you dunk it?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Freget bird flies by and pulls it out. Well, and
now we got the neighbors too, so they're cat calling.
Oh no, oh it not last night, but the other
Saturday we were out there shooting before we went to brunch.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Good shot, Hey, try and get in the hole.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
All right, guys, four, All right, boys, this is my property,
my patio. It's been quiet for two years. I've had
perfect little sessions here chipping. I know you guys are
in the frats or whatever. Let's just limit the chirping.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yeah, and I mean speaking. You brought up Kevin's kids
being one years old, and he came in celebrating their
one year old birthday. He did invite me to their
one year old birthday party. This Saturday.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
I think he did me the courtesy of not inviting me.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah. Well, I think the reason he invites me is
because I also have kids, so I understand the whole
song and dance. You're gonna have a birthday party. People
without kids are probably not gonna show up, like they
don't really want to be around, usually a bunch of kids.
So I was like, dude, I am in baseball. Season
ended last Saturday. This was like two weeks ago. It's
(10:37):
like it ends the week before the birthday. We are there,
don't worry about it. Mark me down. We haven't hit
the All Star break and it's already over. And well yeah,
because you know, summer vacation. Families go on vacation, so
little League ends a little bit early unless we march
our way to Williamsport, which we won't because we're not
old enough but or good enough. And so I was like, yes, RSVP, me,
(11:00):
my wife, my three kids. He'll put us down for
five because he's trying to get a head count for
the food.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Bad brother.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Well yea brother will be there. He'll be there, an brother.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I always support my fellow coworkers. Brother.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yeah, brother, you know what I mean. You invite me something.
I'm gonna do my darm just to get there. Go chiefs. Brother.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I played four rounds in the last five months. Brother
with a bad risk brother.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
And so last Saturday, the Dodgers took the field and
they smacked down the Pirates.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
A Tani beat Skins.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Yes, Otani beat Skeens, and it was awesome. It's great celebration,
end of the season. And then the coach is like, oh,
since we won, we have a game next Saturday. Great.
Like what he goes, Yeah, And he goes, I'll send
out the email tomorrow. What time we'll figure that out.
I'm like, all right, and he sits there. Sunday comes in. Uh,
(11:50):
game is at one thirty on Saturday. Guess what time
the birthday party is? One fifteen, one to three cheese. Yes,
So right in the middle of the birthday party, the
Dodgers will be taking the field. So I immediately had
to hit up Kevin and I said, hey, man, I
know I've been hyping it up and talking about this
(12:11):
birthday party for the last few weeks, but my name
is Trout and I'm.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Out, what did we do back in the day with
baseball games and no emails? And no texts. Did our
parents write emails? Then?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
No?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
How did we do it? It was literally word of mouth. No, no,
it was a phone call. This is what happened. You
would get the roster at the beginning of the season.
The coach would have to call my dad. Okay, your
dad would have to call all the other parents. One
time he called a kid. He was in a bath
and my dad's like, what the hell? She doesn't swear
(12:45):
we're as kids were like the kids in the bath
at I don't know if we should have picked him. Uh.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
And so you call the parents and you say, hey,
practice is gonna be on Wednesday, six o'clock at this place.
Then they would show up that Wednesday and you would
have paper copies of the schedule, yeap, and you would
hang them on the fridge. That's the only way I suggest.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Duct tape. Kid, it'll never fall down, It'll always stay upright.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
That's beautiful, kid, I love it.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
So yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So the Dodgers play tomorrow at one point thirty, we're
missing the birthday party. Let's go Dodgers. Let's go Dodgers.
And then tonight, oh my gosh, Spurs, Go Spurs, Go,
Go Spurs, Go we gotta close it out. Man, we
got a huge game.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah, we gotta close that one out. We got the
East has already done or whatever.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Pistons and caves tonight.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Oh, I guess the Knicks are just waiting.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
They're just wighing.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
And so were the Thunder.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Thunder just waiting.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Same thing with hockey. The Carolina Hurricanes, I think have
been waiting forever. They're just chilling. The Abs are just chilling.
So yeah, there's a lot of waiting right now in
the playoffs because you're waiting for these other more competitive games.
I'm waiting for tonight. I want them to lose. No,
I want him to win it all, but I want
him to lose Game seven. Let's go.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Hey, Toolbox. Talking to him last night, he said, oh,
Spurs your champions. He goes, they just have so many studs.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Me and him see the same on picking games.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
He was like, they are just so good. He goes,
they're so He goes. Everybody talks about Wim Ben Yema
and I was like, you mean women yamen. He goes, yeah,
wim Bean Yema.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Your dad doesn't watch Sports Center in ten years.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
And he says, but they have so many good other players.
He was like, that Harper guy is going to be
a stud. He goes, Castle's really good. He goes, they
are just good everywhere.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Yes, and that Williams kid is out for the thunder.
I gotta talk to your dad about the NFL schedule release.
See who he likes. If we have the same view
on the NFL too, he might be a man after
my own heart. Who's he thinks gonna win baseball? The Dodgers?
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Me too. Wow, that's a bold pick. Now.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I was gonna say probably Yankees, if I bet shut up.
They have two young pitchers Schlitterbong and Cole cat Calling
six years. Not him, the other guy, Lefty Freed.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Okay, all right, let's let's start the show and then
we'll get into the real stuff that I want to
talk about. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
About to give up on that beat the streak. These
hitters can't get a.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Hit beat the streak. Gonna give up on that crap.
It's the stupidest thing in the world.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
We're back to zero. Thanks Trevor Story.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Oh for four Trevor Story. He's about to get dropped.
He's on my fantasy baseball team. He is about to
get dropped.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I never pick a six hitter. Me and Boomer pick
a six hitter. What do you know gets like three
at bats? Oh for three dude.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
But I like that you do beat the streak, you
know why because it lets you talk to your your nephew.
That's that's the greatest reason to do.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
It, right. But there's no analytics. All he does is
text me every day, oh Tani. The next day he goes,
who is I guess? Oani? He does all the time,
and that you are done.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
That's great. At least you're communicating with him.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I love that, right, But his crap where he texts
me Otani. Do some analytics. The analytics can't say Otani.
They're on like a seven game skid. Pick somebody else.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Okay, sorry, you know so.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
I mean it's like and he sometimes he doesn't even
text me a player. So am I still gonna cut
him in If we win the five point six million.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
That's up to you and your lawyers.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
We already have a gentleman's agreement eight hundred thousand, and
then I get it would be after taxes it's two
point five million or two point eight million. I would
get two million. He gets eight hundred thousand.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Okay, that's not bad. Let's start the show man. We're
gonna do it live. We oh the one, two three,
sore Loser, and we'll take a break. What up, everybody?
I am Lunchbox. I know the most about sports. I
gave you of sports facts, my sports opinions because I'm
pretty much a sports genius. Yah.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
It says that I'm from the North Alpha Male. Live
on the north side of Nashville and baser sixteen Lanes.
It's basically Atlanta Indian Lake now via Indian Lake via
Atlanta of the North. And we do have two point
three acres. We've got two kids at Vanderbilt defrosting justin.
Haven't heard from him until last night. Good read all
(17:26):
those texts live. I have not even read them yet. Okay,
that will be what it's on the menu.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
We need to clean up the city parks. Had a
run in yesterday at the city park. Got to clean
those up. And something strange going down at the kids
elementary school. We'll talk all about it right after this.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Oh, thanks for the commercial.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Ray.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah, really that is a great product if you want
website building.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah, you really did a good job. Your reads are
really good. You sound smooth. You sound confident, and I
just want to say that to the city in Nashville,
Can we please, for the love of God, clean up
our city parks? Okay, Spencer, can we please? I mean
we got to, Like, if we want the city parks
to be where families go to enjoy themselves and relax
(18:13):
and not be on edge, we got to clean them up.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Needed to be a release for the parents.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
We need the kids that feel safe in the you know,
these beautiful trees and these playgrounds. As yesterday, we roll
up to baseball practice for the Dodgers for one last
practice before the big game on Saturday, and there's this
lady standing by a red like s uv just chain smoking.
(18:44):
Finishes that cigarette. Light's another one pounds, like three cigarettes.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
That's good for the kid's health.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
And I'm thinking, I don't I've never seen this mom before.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Was she unhoused?
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Well, I at the time, I thought she was just
like someone's mom that I never met. But I'm like, no,
I've met all the moms on the team.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Was she hot not?
Speaker 1 (19:09):
She looked you know, aged, weathered, beaten down by the
reality of life.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Kind of like a California raisin.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Kind of like a California raisin, but a little bit,
you know, maybe in the fifties with a tint of leather. Yeah,
a tint of leather and quite a few rinks. So
then I'm standing by the tree as the kids are
warming up and she comes walking up. So I'm thinking
she's the aunt maybe of someone, you know, someone needed
a ride. Parents are out of town, so she brought
(19:39):
the kid. She walks up, she goes, I'm Catherine. I'm like, Hi,
how's it going. She goes, how is your mother's day?
I was like, oh, it is good.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
We took the wife out to the to eat breakfast
and kind of hung out all day. And she goes, well,
I didn't even get to see my mother. I was like,
I'm sorry about that. She goes, yeah, so my mother's
day not so great. I was like, oh, I'm sorry.
And then she turns around, goes to he a car
(20:14):
gets in and boom slams the door and they say
then and speeds off.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Oh so she had a car.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, but what the hell was that?
Speaker 2 (20:25):
What the hell was that? Bro? I used to live
across from the park on First Avenue. The day it
was finished. We never got to use it, basketball courts,
ping pong, running path, Frisbee area. A homeless an unhoused
man threw a shoe at Boomer. There were feces droppings
everywhere when you're trying to go for runs. If you
(20:46):
wanted to hit play basketball, there was too many syringes
that would pop the basketball.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
No, those were needles to pump it up.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
I'm aware with what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yes, it's just like I don't know what was going
on why she decided to come talk to me, Like,
did I, like, of all the parents that were standing there,
did I say, hey, Catherine, come talk to me. Let's
chat about your mother's day. Pretty sure, Mother's Day was
like five days ago, and you're still holding on to that.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I love though they have no sense of time, no calendar.
They're not controlled by the days of the week. To her,
it was Friday to you, it was Monday. To her,
it was a day. To you, it was a dead end.
To her, it was a bright horizon. Dude. Those people
have no track of time.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
It was so wild though, But like she they asked
somebody when they walk by, hey, what month is it.
That's impressive. She knew the day even though it was
five days off. But like I swear, I never know
the date because from my job, I really don't need
to know it. I know the days of the week,
I know the months. The day. I know the day
(21:56):
because it's payday. Fifteenth. Okay, I know fifteenth. I knew
that one. But I'm telling you try me on Monday.
I will not know the date. But it is impressive
they know the months.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Do you think they know the months?
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Oh my gosh. They think it's like July. I mean,
I think it's the the Indian summer. It's late August.
My it's unseasonably cool because like they know when it's winter,
But I do they know when it's winter, and they
probably know when it's summer because it's really hot. The
(22:31):
most insensitive bit, are you ready? No sore losers? Live stream?
We go as feed streamers. We interview the homeless and
ask them the date. Hey, brother, I think it's June.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
I believe February. Dude, I bet they don't know the month.
I would I would, I would be. I would think
it's safe to say they don't know the month. It's like,
oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
We asked them the time, the date, the month and
the year and see which ones they get right?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Oh my gosh, what a bit. So we're playing trivia.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah, easy trivia, like really easy trivia. And we asked
them them, uh not not winter Solstice, the the pucksatani
philis Ina shadow.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
What's another? Uh? Price of gas? No? No? See how much?
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Oh no, they would know bread and milk because it's
it's crazy. It's stuff that we're controlled by, but they're not.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Can I tell you what happened? Also the other night,
I was in the drive through at the Golden Arches
Steak and Shake had two boys in the car.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
What happened to the third?
Speaker 1 (23:58):
He wasn't feeling that great, so he was just hanging
out of the house.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Ray you ever heard of foster care? Haven't had him
in six months.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
So it was the old one and the young one
baby box one, baby box three. And we're sitting in
the drive through and I looked to my right and
this guy he is unhoused, unhoused, unhoused. He's in a
wheelchair and he's wheeling himself and wheeling himself and he
(24:26):
has no legs.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh shit, that's the golden sombrero from both knee caps
down there's nothing. See, he needs he needs some help
from the government. Why does he not have prosthetics?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Like right below the knee? It looked like he's where
they and my oldest goes Dad, Dad, wear are his legs?
How does he walk? Dad? Look at that and I'm like, stop,
and I don't know how to explain it, Like how
do I explain to him? I don't know, Bud like
I I and he's like, Dad, why doesn't he have legs?
(25:00):
He's like brother, brother, little man, Look, look, look, he
doesn't have any legs. And I'm just like, oh my gosh,
Oh my gosh. And then they say, Dad, Dad, is
that gonna happen to us? And I'm like, I don't
think so. I hope not, like they could if.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
They reenlist the draft.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
He's like, Dad, how does he go to the bathroom?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
These tensions with Iran don't cease.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
And I said, I don't know, man, But it was
probably the saddest I felt like, because that was the like,
I mean, you see unhoused people, you see him, they
can walk, you know, this dude literally had no both
of them, I mean one of them, okay, because you
can hop around, you know, when you get He had nothing,
(25:45):
and it was just like, oh my gosh, what right
in front of my car, right in front of the
car with the kids in it. And then they got
a million questions.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Now, I believe he could fill out some sort of paperwork.
He's gotta be getting getting money from the government.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Where are they sending it?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
You got it? Please tell me where he was at.
I bet there's some forms he can fill out and
get some money. He was at the McDonald's over there,
McDonald's harding and Pike.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Harding and Pike. Yeah, And I mean, it was it
was a it was an unfortunate situation. But here's the
here's the kicker of it all.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
He was on crack.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
No, I have no idea. I didn't talk to him.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
No, Ray big Archburger equally is powerful.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
We were on the way to my soccer game because
it was a six fifteen game, so my kids were
able to come and watch. The middle child was not
feeling well, so he stayed back with mom. And it's
tough times out there, man, it is tough times. They
came to watch me play and we suffered the defeat
(26:54):
of three goals to two. We lost three, three goals
to two, and I have to start looking in the mirror.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Assuming you scored none.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
I scored none. But I have to start looking in
the mirror and asking myself is my career winding down? Yes, Jennobili,
we are six games into this season, Lebron. Yes, we
are six games into the season. We play seven per season.
(27:26):
Our record on the season is now zero wins, four losses,
two ties. We have not won a single game.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
If this was the Premier League, you guys would be relegated.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
We would be relegated. We would be delegated, we'd be
sent down to three levels below. But it's like, I
don't ever get upset about a loss because I love playing.
But I got home on Wednesday night after that loss
because A I didn't think the team was very good,
and I was just kind of down, just like, wow,
(28:04):
is this really the end? How are we losing every
single game? It was a punch in the gut. I
looked at myself in the mirror and I was like,
this is embarrassing. People see us on the schedule now
and we're the team They're like, oh, that's an easy win.
Like we A you could look at the schedule and
(28:26):
pick out teams that, oh it's not going to be
that hard. I am nervous that I am now that
team that people look at for a cakewalk.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
You're the Rockies. You are the Memphis Grizzlies rest in peace.
You are Burnley, you are the Reds are actually good
this year. You are the Detroit Tigers.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
You are what Vandy football used to be.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
M h. You are what the Titans used to be
until this year's year. Man, dude, it was h It
was tough and I don't know Ray. So if you're
gonna come watch me play like you said you you
would play, come watch You're running out of time, man.
Well and also we need see I told myself that
I always wanted to watch Lebron play. I'm running out
(29:13):
of time with him too, So I got you and
Lebron on the list. You need an outsider to watch
you play and it tell you if it's embarrassing or not.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
I mean, there was one this guy, Joe. He passed
it to me on the right side and I go
to give him a give and go like I go
to he he runs and I go to kick it
to him. I swung and miss and fell down. Oh man,
how are your hips, all right, But then they took
the ball and immediately went down and scored, because yeah,
(29:44):
it's bad man. So the Green team we're struggling, man,
we're struggling.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Somebody gonna fix that sod even Hey, there's a dibbity
here who didn't replace their dibit dagit.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Nice if they mowed this, it's turf. It was turf.
We'll take a break. We'll be right back, all right.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Can I do the Justin?
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yes, we got to get upbeat dude.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
You brought us down with that last segment.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
I'm sorry man, all right, So.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Justin didn't even have time. These were rolling in last night.
He goes, Oh, I told him I'm helping him with
beat the streak. I said, you're gonna want to take
Yohendrick Penango and he got a hit. He goes, I
bought a dinghy and I said, you have got to
be shitting me. And it's this. He's got a boat,
(30:34):
a quest Angler ten fishing boat.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
No he does, don't.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, he said, got the girl off at Cock Sporting Goods,
Gonna soup like this. One problem is I don't have
any way to haul it anywhere. No bail and hitch
on my suv, ball and hitch. So he bought this boat,
but he has nowhere to pull it because he.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Did buy a boat.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Yeah, he's in Michigan, dude, it's a great lake state.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
But what the hell is that doing? If he doesn't
have money and he doesn't have a job, why is
he buying a boat.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
He has a job. Oh, he does have a I
think he's doing the same thing that he was doing
here there.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
No, because your kids are here, they're not there. He's
supposed to be watching over them. He's not watching over
them there, So he's not doing the same job.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Michigan eggs. But you got Traverse City, you got Grand Haven,
you have the bridge, Mackinaw Island. There's so many lakes,
so you got to get a dinghy.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Did you have a dinghy when you lived in Michigan?
Speaker 2 (31:28):
We had a canoe.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
You had a little dinghy still do.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
And and uh, what's the one that treads water? You
wouldn't know what one of the Uh, you and your
part person next you both sit on it and peddle
it and paddle boat. That's what it is. Paddle boat.
We had a paddle boat.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Yeah, I wouldn't know what that is, because they don't
have those all over the world. They don't have them
in every place that you go to. They don't have
in every amusement park. When you want to go out
on a little pond, I wouldn't know what a paddle
boat is.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
And Baser sent Justin a video last weekend and she goes, oh,
your son will is a group text. She said, your
bastard son is buried in our yard. What are we
supposed to do with him? Because Justin's making roots. We
thought this was just a month thing. He's now got
a house, a job, a dinghy.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
How long does he play with that dinghy?
Speaker 2 (32:20):
He's probably got a new Cheers bar. You never know, Well,
that's very happy. Does he have friends who knows?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
You know what I mean? Like, does he talk about Hey,
I went to the bar with Nick or I went
to the bar with Jim. Does does he have any friends?
Speaker 2 (32:35):
I think he has a lot of family there. He
has tons of brothers and sisters. Really yeah, so they're
all I believe in the same.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
I thought he just had a sister. I've only heard
of a sister.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
I think he has three sisters, four brothers. Really yeah?
Oh yeah, I didn't know that. You probably saw him
in Boston when you know with Jessica. I know, I
just saw him and I didn't meet any of his
friends there either. He was there not long. He didn't
really have time to meet anybody. Oh he was there
less than a year. I mean yeah, because you don't
(33:04):
meet anybody in less than a year. Like, if you're
not somewhere a year, you don't meet anybody. Well, and
I mean the times he's going to meet somebody. He
would have two hundred dollars to go to the casino
and he's out of there in twenty minutes, Like, how
are you gonna and you're typically in a bad mood.
Doesn't lend itself to meeting people.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Yeah, it doesn't really lend itself. And can I just say,
speaking of meeting people, I went to the elementary school
yesterday because first grade was having their Friends Ball. It's
a dance for the first graders. And as you all know,
baby Box is wrapping up his first grade year and
he is still upset. He has not been on the
pod or he's like, Dad, when am I going to
(33:41):
go in and talk about starting first grade?
Speaker 2 (33:43):
See, these kids are getting more demanding than Arnold.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
And I said, hey, Bud, your first grade's almost over.
He goes, yeah, but I still need to talk about
like starting first grade. All right, well, i'll get you in.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
He knows a plot line.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
He does know a plot line. And so we go
to the dance and they come in their classes and
they up from each across from each other, and they're like, okay,
the first graders would like to show you guys. They're
waltz and I'm like, all right, let's see who Babybox
is gonna dance with?
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Guy?
Speaker 1 (34:11):
A guy. Welcome to twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Geez, my dad would have got up and left, and
I was like, what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (34:24):
And then of course the teacher starts dancing with one
of the students and she's blocking my view. I can't
even see baby Box dancing. I can't even I'm trying.
I'm craning my neck, dodging left and right. And I
noticed all the dudes are dancing with dudes. All the
(34:44):
girls are dancing with girls like that happens, the girl
dancing happens. No, no, but they're doing the waltz and
they have partened up where only dudes are waltzing with
dudes and girls are waltzing with girls. Why can't we
waltz with the you know, with the whoever we want? Right?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
And I mean at the club, the girls are still
dancing together a little.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Bit, right. It is rare.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
I mean, now I A'm into a club in a minute.
Then can you just go dance up on a guy
at a club?
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Not really?
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Ray whiskey Dix or whiskey.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Whiskey rainbow row.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
No.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Uh. And then they say, oh, if you know you
have a loved one here today, mom, dad, grandma and grandpa,
why do you have a dance with them? And so
then he danced with my wife. He didn't even dance
with me. And then they start playing like upbeat music.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
What time was this at?
Speaker 1 (35:36):
I it was at Was it two thirty? Okay?
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Because this is something my dad would never have gone to.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Is that two thirty?
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Were their parents there?
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Their parents there? What do they do for jobs? Great question?
Great question? I thought for sure there's gonna be like five,
six seven parents there. There's quite a few.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
I have a hedge fund, I managed well a lot
of people.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
I think in this new era of working from home,
they're able to.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Just pop over even Bayser working from home. She can't
even sneak away for thirty minutes anymore. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
I mean there was people popping in. There's popping in here,
popping in there, and oh man, haven't seen you while
take other day off? Not just popped over. Oh okay,
it just popped over. Oh cool? Cool?
Speaker 2 (36:21):
So they're in they're jammies. Yeah, they were some None
of the women wear makeup anymore.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Yeah. One one girl definitely just came from a yoga
workout that was great. Hey, hey Sarah, no complaints there, Sarah,
Good to see you. And how was the workout? A
little sweaty? Yeah, I mean she did. Definitely her belly
button was showing. Yeah at the kids waltz. Yeah, so
(36:49):
I mean I didn't look, but yes, I mean I
definitely tell she was. She had been working out, so
she just popped over after her workout. I guess.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Was it a bar class I know all about that.
Not I'm saying, whiskey roll on Friday.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Night, see you there. So then they start playing upbeat music,
you know all these and the kids are just dancing
going crazy.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Was a country or what was it?
Speaker 1 (37:11):
No? No like pop? Oh nice like diplo. I don't
know who it was. Dude, you're asking the wrong.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Person, ray edm for kids.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
You're asking the wrong person. Then baby Box is just
standing there. I'm like, bro, why don't you go dance?
All your friends are dancing us. I'm not the dancing type.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
He's right though, who's gonna sober dance?
Speaker 1 (37:33):
I said at two in the afternoon, dude, how fun
with your friends? Goes dad? I don't dance. I'm not
the dancing type. All right, bro, all right, we'll just
stand here. Aur awkwardly stand there, stand there, and we
stand there for like fifteen minutes, and I don't know
what comes over him, but all of a sudden, he's
(37:55):
dancing with his boys. They're all running around, dancing in
a circle and jumping up and down. He caught the wave,
he caught the wave, he caught the feels, and he
was a dancing machine. And what are they doing? Two
of the boys did do the worm, but they did
do the circle. And one kid would get in the
middle and do whatever you want to do and then
get out, and then another kid would get in the
(38:16):
middle and floss. They didn't know how to do the floss.
They tried to do the gritty. Okay, they do still
try to do that, but are they good at it?
Not really. But what was surprising to me is the girls.
They didn't really dance. Usually it's the girls that dance,
and they were just kind of like, eh, the boys
were going crazy.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Yeah, we got to get out of that school a
little doo uptight. They can cross town.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Yeah, they were, they were, they were going the boys.
A couple of the teachers were out there dancing. It's great.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
We gotta think it's got a lot of those country
club families. I mean, they're they're not gonna cut loose.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Ah, we don't have a country club.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Well, it's it's more of the button up crowd. I mean,
if you really want to, you know, get freaky on
the dance floor, I would say Hunter's Lane.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Okay. Yeah, So that was it. And then we waited
outside that because it was only twenty minutes of school ended,
and the boys came out and we're whoa, that was it, man,
that was my day.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Hunter's Lane or I mean Baser, said Pope John Paul.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Really yeah, they get freaky well, I.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Mean yeah, they would shake their stanky leg.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Okay, Okay, Oh you ready to go home?
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Man?
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Yeah, we have one of no Superman name, dude, do
we have one to replay? Which one was good this week?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Uh? You're gonna be hard pressed after the vacation stories
the previous week. I mean, this week was a wash.
You might as well as play bet dead air.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Okay, all right, have a good weekend, guys, go Spurs
go tonight.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
See it can be this one. It's gotta be a
it's probably a Wednesday one, a middle or I mean,
I think to have been boring as crap.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
So for Mother's Day, I don't know, a finger painting.
It was phenomenal, doyly, I don't know. We gotta start
bringing it again.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Well I tried to bring it. I had stuff written
down my depressing soccer that was pretty bad.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Man. It's just not the same anymore.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
I mean, my kids have seen me. They've been to
two games the last two months. They see me lose
both games. Last time I was seven to one. This
one was only three to two. But they've seen me
lose two games.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I think we got to switch up the topics. We
just can't go back with innermural soccer. It just doesn't
hit nobody in this country like soccer. Nobody plays innermurals
at forty four. I mean that that topic needs to
be dead gone, donezo. And I think we're doing good.
More life, more sports, less lifestyle, and then maybe we
(40:53):
need to get that girl from feeling yourself for Morgan
getting personally. Yeah, that stuff, I don't know, man, Mike
talking about a movie, I don't know, man, Ray, what
about Scuba from the rock station?
Speaker 1 (41:07):
I don't know. Ava, he'll save us, he'll save us, man,
it's a sinking ship today.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
I felt like I had a bunch of stuff to
talk about, and then I don't know. I just maybe
it wasn't as good as I thought.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
I would have danced on the dance floor with a guy.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Ah, that sounds like the perfect dance to me.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
I don't see a problem.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Oh why didn't you guys invite me to that? All right?
Cool man, that's my fault, my bad. I should have
had better topics today. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
All right, we're heading to Broadway. Let's do the streaming
and talk to the unhoused.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
All right, we're out, Bye, we gotta go, brother. I
think it's right around. What was it second of March.
All right, brother, is it nineteen ninety nine? Brother, I
think we buzzed already. We gotta go, man,
