Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, you look like a guy that's going golfing.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
No, I look like a guy that is gonna go
golfing with random kick Cody, our old intern. Have not
seen him in a good probably here.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Last time I saw him Clinton was in office.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, it's been a while. I think Reagan was running
for reelection when I saw him.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Got it.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's gonna be amazing, dude, it's gonna be golf. I
really have these on because I couldn't find pants this morning,
and so I just had to leave without pants.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I always lay him out the day before and every
single day of the week.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
My wife's probably ready to kill me.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I say the exact same sentence, Honey, the clothes that
are on the couch, those aren't like they need to
be put away. I put them there just before I
go to bed, just so that they're ready for me.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
And she goes.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I know, I know, but I just there's been the
times where she'll fold laundry and scoop mine up, and
I wake up in the morning, I'm like, where's my clothes?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm gonna have to go to work naked. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I don't worry about my wife fulding clothes because that
ain't happening. Let's be real, that's not happening. So if
there's one thing is safe. If I lay my clothes out,
I guarantee you they're gonna be there, and tomorrow, the
next day of the day after that, they will never
be picked up.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Well, and then we're good.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
And then we realized the cat was knocking them down,
so when I put them on the couch, the cat
thinks it's a fort. So there would be times my
clothes abyss be laying on the ground and I'd go, hey, honey,
I know I told you that I was gonna be
wearing those clothes. In the morning, they were on the ground.
Did you set them down there for some reason? She goes, no,
I would not have put your clothes on the ground. Okay, okay.
A week later, there's my jeans on the ground, my

(01:37):
nice shirt on the ground. Hey, honey, were you scooping?
Did you think those were dirty there on the ground,
And she goes no, no, no, I would never just
throw your clothes on the ground. Okay, no worries noise.
Then we why is there a bunch of black hair
on my shirt?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
The cat's been crawling into my clothes. Thinking it's a
fort that I make for it every night.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Man, that's weird because we have a dog with hair
goes by the name of Chase, and he likes to
do the same thing. My wife likes to wash her
clothes and then she just puts them in a pile
like she's gonna fold them, and then she never folds them.
And then the dog thinks, oh, that's my nest and
goes and you know, kind of burrows himself in the clothes,
and she's like, Chase, Chase, get off that clothes, Get

(02:21):
off that clothes. Why does he always do that? Why
does he eyes get off my clothes? And I'm like, well,
because you leave him on the ground, that's what's gonna happen.
The dog sees a pile, a warm, inviting place, kind
of smells like you. He likes the smell of you,
so he's gonna nustle his way in there.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
That is what it is, too, with the clothes and
then towels.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
When my cat, so it's the guys, I hate to
just start off out of the gate like this so
hot with stuff. But my cat so when it it
it's actually primal. So it likes to drink water from
the sky. It likes to drink running water. It doesn't
like a bowl of water. Oh, so it likes to
be the false yep. So we have to run the tub.
But in the process, Piper gets sopping wet, so I

(03:05):
have to wrap her up in a towel. Well, what
we learned is she likes my wife to rock her
to sleep at night, but she has to be in
her towel drying. So if you come to our house
at any given day, they'll be just random wet towels
laying on beds. Oh that's just because the cat, after
it's done drinking water, gets all wet and then towels.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
On the bed. So it looks kind of like an
unhoused shelter, but it's a house.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh that's weird because if you come to my house,
you're gonna see towels everywhere in the hallway, on the stairs,
just hanging from a window outside. Because I have three
kids and they like to just run around dry and
then wherever they are and they feel their dry, they
drop the towel. Does not matter, can't I mean, we

(03:48):
can't be bothered to put it back in the bathroom.
Why not just dry off right there in the bathroom
and put their clothes on. I have no idea. It
is a mystery to me how kids think that they
have to walk around to dry off sometimes. Why is
there a towel outside? There is nothing outside that needs
to be dried off well?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
And what about the mysterious towel caper? You ever get
out of the showering You ain't got a towel there? Oh,
I do, well, we got a rack, so there's always
a towel.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
No.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Not If pipers drink water four times in a day,
then there's not one towel on the rack. My mistake
not looking beforehand. Then I get out, Honey, I'm naked,
all good, just air dry, So I mean, then there
you go, an air dry to start the day.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Wait you yo, what.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Now, honey, I'm naked.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Ray, I'm not in the mood.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
It's the worst feeling, it really is.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
And then the house is so dang big. She can't
hear me. So I really am naked and I have
no towel.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
My wife's just deaf. She can't hear me, Like, I mean,
she can be standing five feet from me and I
say something, She's like what eh? And I'm just like,
I just try to compose myself.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I won't repeat it. I know.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
I repeat it it once, I repeat it twice. The
third time, I say forget it.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Well, you know my thing is, I don't even repeat
it twice. I just say it wasn't even that funny.
Never mind, No, she's I really.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Want to know. No, but I really want to know.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
I repeat it, I only say it once.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
And I get so, I'm sorry, I just can't hear.
And I'm just like, how can your hearing be that bad? Like,
how how is that possible?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Your limits three me, it wasn't even that good. I
don't even feel like repeating it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Oh, I say it too, it's not worth it, that's good. No, No,
I really want to hear, Like it's probably something like
I really want to hear what you have to say.
And I take a deep breath and then I repeat it,
and sometimes she hears it, sometimes she doesn't, and sometimes
she tells me. Eventually she'll be like, I just have
to like I heard, because I knew you were gonna
get mad.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
She does the old fake here, because really, the response
yeah works for pretty much anything.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
So there's times I don't hear baser, and I'm like,
I probably can away with not hearing that.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
And I was just like, ah, yeah, And you know
what's funny about your old man? Like eh, the neighbor
they have three kids and their youngest just turned one.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Another birthday party.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
No, no, no, we didn't have a birthday party for
this guy. We have not been invited to the birthday party.
I don't think they're having a birthday party. I will,
and I'm sure we'll hear about it eventually. They might
when he turns two or three, and we might be invited.
But his one year old birthday, I assume they just
did it with their friends and with their family. Actually
not friends, because got friends.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
So we can pen this.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
In May eighteenth, twenty twenty seven, we will hear about
a second birthday party from the neighbor.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
And he is starting to kind of walk, and he
stands up on his own and he all the time,
NonStop eh eh, and he points at things. He sounds
like the old man that can't hear, but he's trying
to say he wants something, but he doesn't know how
to talk, so he just goes eh eh. And it

(06:58):
reminds me of you. Every time, I'm like, ray stop.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
That would be the last time I would go hang
out with that family. Why you don't come over anymore?
Lunch obligations? Slash your kids annoying? Does he still make
that eye?

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I mean he does it at baseball games, he does
it sitting on the front porch, he does it everywhere.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Everybody's told him that it's annoying.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I think they know because she's always like, will you
please stop? It's so annoying, And I always yell, whose
kid is that?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I'm gonna go out? The smoke? Since when do you
smoke lunch ah vaping? I picked it up today ever
since that kids are going? Eh?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Oh is that a victory cigar? You're smoking? Because the Spurs,
Baby go, Spurs Go. Tonight's the night, Tonight's the night
when they win. Last night Friday, man.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I saw. I woke up to a forty point absolute shellacking. Dude.
I didn't watch it on Amazon Prime.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
They make it impossible to watch all these games. You
turn on the TV the Telly and I can't fine
when it is on. So then I had to go
look it up. Oh it's on Amazon Prime. Sorry about that.
I have to hold on. I got to go to
the app okay, Amazon Prime, so annoying, so difficult, so confusing,
but uh, I got in and they were already up
by like seventeen, and I was like, Wow, this is

(08:19):
gonna be a nice night. On Friday night, I didn't
even watch the whole game. Well, actually I did. I
watched it to the end. It did even when the
scrubs came in. I kept it on for some dumb reason.
I was exhausted, but I kept it on.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
It was seven, and I had the option were we
watching a movie or was it just bulged? The movie
was the next night, another night, but it was just
bull crap TV. On Friday night, we watched Summerhouse, okay,
because I had to catch up.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Well, the game was at eight thirty, just so you know.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
So it was seven, and the cool of the pillow
was just so cool and I had to truly sitting
on the dresser. It was a third one of the night,
and I fell asleep. Woke up at three thirty am,
wide awake, gready to take on the day. Beser goes.
You fell asleep at like six last night, so it
was about an hour and a half away from the
Spurs game. I really did intend to watch it, man,

(09:05):
I intended to watch the whole thing, you know.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
But we had a I mean, there's gonna be things
we're gonna talk about later in the pod, like the
spring carnival at the school. We had that, and then
there was a neighborhood party where people were playing music
and you just go and sit and watch. And so
we're like, all right, we're going to that the next
walling and I don't know if they're the next walling
or not. I don't know. I kind of just chat
with people while we're there. And next thing, you know,

(09:29):
is nine thirty when I got home. So I already
missed a portion of that game.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Well that's what it's on the menu.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Oh no, I had a golf experience of a lifetime
on Friday.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Well you only got thirty minutes to tell all that,
so you're gonna have to minus something.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
I would suggest the carnival.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Oh no, there was a confrontation at the carnival. Oh
that's now a front runner. There was a hey, actually
there was two confrontations at the carnival.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Sounds like beer was involved.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
I no beer, malve just gotta you know, tell some
people how it is.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
We're gonna do it live.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
We oh the one too to sore loser? What up, everybody?
I am lunchbox. I know the most about sports, so
I gave you the sports facts, my sports opinions because
I'm pretty much a sports genius. Y'all.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I listened to last Friday's podcast. It was a banger.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
So even in the moment if we say it sucked,
holy crap, it was great.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
It was phenomenal. What up, y'all?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Had?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
His says, and I'm from the North, Alpha man.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I live on the north side of Nashville, sixteen lanes
heading up there now a lot of people talking about
Brentwood and Franklin. We're the Franklin of the North, Okay
and two point three acres. It is beautifully mode. It
is awesome. We've put up signs now that say no
truspassing private property. We got so many dang neighbors. The
country's no longer the country. Two kids at Vandy defrosting

(10:55):
justin please check on them, and your dogs in our
yard dead. So maybe it needs to be trans planted
to Michigan. Over to you, man. Baser sends him a
video every Saturday after a couple, Come get your bastard son.
Justin plants his dog in our yard and then moves
away like I didn't even know that was on the table.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I would have never said, bury your dog at my house.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
I might have to call for an investigation. We may
have to exhume the body because maybe times were tough,
and that's why Justin had to get rid of the
dog because he couldn't take it back to Michigan with him.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Don't even say that. Don't even say he still listens
to the pod. Oh you're insinuating he killed his dog.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, I mean, I don't understand how you can say,
come get your bastard dog. But I can't make a
joke about maybe he offed his dog.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Okay, that's the last thing people are to be accused
of when the sentimental animal dies.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Like if you ever said, Ray, I think you killed Pablo,
I would never forgive you, Hey, Ray, funny joke for you.
I think you killed your other cat. I'm gonna tell
Beezer it's not funny. Uh maybe not.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Maybe I took a step too far. Is that what
you're saying?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Tell somebody that you think they killed their animal. We
need an investigation.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
I don't think anybody will think that's funny. Hey, Mark,
really sorry about your dog. You don't think we need
to investigate, do you? Little foul play? What do you
mean you kill it? Get the hell out of my house.
That's not funny.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
That actually is so morbid. It is funny. You're at
a party and somebody's dog reasently dies.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
You're like, do we need to investigate? They're like, what
do you mean it was natural causes? I don't know,
maybe you killed it.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Start pointing fingers.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
It's always the spouse, man, It's always a spouse.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Their heartbroken because their animal just died, and you say
we need to open an investigation.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Maybe I'm a little too fired up on a Monday, man,
I'm too fired up. I got a big game tonight,
Spurs Thunder. This is what we've been waiting for all season,
and I can't wait to sit down and watch. It's
gonna be amazing. But yeah, we'll just edit that part out.
We'll take a break, we'll edit that, we'll come back
and I don't know what you want first, the most
amazing golf experience of my life or confrontations at the

(13:26):
carnival Cca confrontations at the carnival. We'll take a break
and we'll be right back. So, man, the kids are
wrapping up school. They got a few days left. Ones
in first grade, the other ones in kindergarten, and then
we're moving on. We're moving on to second grade, which

(13:47):
was probably the greatest year of my life, Missus Butler.
That is when I walked into our classroom and I
had never seen a beauty like that. Oh, I had
never seen a beauty like miss Butler. And that, you know,
second grade is when every day, every day I'd give
her a little slap on the butt. I'd pinch her butt,
slap her butt. Sometimes I'd get in trouble just quiet,

(14:09):
so I'd had to sit behind her desk in time
out so I could stare at those legs.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
When you got a hotty teacher, those days did go
by a little bit faster.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Oh dude, it was amazing. It was like the best
best ever. And I sat right next to aj he
was in my class, and then the two girls right
behind us were Kristin Comby and Tracy prell Up. And
I mean Kristen used to pay me twenty five cents
when we'd go out in the big room to hold
Tracy's hand while we watch movies.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
What was Comby's nickname? I don't know, Ray, We just
called her come for short.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
No, we didn't do that at all. That was not
what we didn't know that in second grade. And so yeah,
second grade brings back so many memories. And you know,
as my oldest is about to be a second grader,
but I'm not gonna call him a second grader until
the school year starts, like he is not in second grade,
because I do not want him to grow up. So
he's still got to be in first grade, even though

(15:01):
the year is about to be over.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
We already have him booked because he wants to for
a second grade Oh no, No, he wants to do his
going into first Grade pod.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Then he wants to talk about being in first grade
on the next pod. Then he wants to do it
going into second grade pod.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Well, I already booked him. Okay on Movie Mike's podcast.
That doesn't meet our standard.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Hey take it personal with horrorsman holds she.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Would actually interview him. I don't with the therapy session
at Amy's ditch yourself.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Oh me, too much for the kid.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Too much, too traumatizing and bring up raw emotions and feelings.
Can't be doing that. So anyway, all that to say,
we go to the carnival on Friday night. It starts
at five o'clock, it ends at seven o'clock. It's two hours.
It is time to rock and roll rides right, not
necessarily rides, it's more some jump houses, like bouncing houses.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
The carnies don't know how to make any rides.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Then they have a hey blow this up hand. No,
they have a climbing wall, like it's like a pole,
it's a circular thing, and they have three different kids
that can go up at a time on you know,
and climb up the wall. It's like a rock climbing wall.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Then they have one where it's like a mini trampolines
and they have harnesses on and you can bounce up
and do flips.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
That's cool, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Boomer did one. Henny wasn't able to. Boomer was entertained
for about one minute because you really can't do that
cool of things with the bungee thing on you, and
you're kind of there's a ceiling as to how cool
of a flip you can do.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Let's be real they're pretty small, so they're not getting
very hot.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
That's what it is. You have to have more weight.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
You have to have more weight. I mean the four
year old when he does it, it's like the harness
is not even big enough to go around his waist.
It's hilarious. And he tries to flip and he gets
about a quarter inch off the ground and he can't flip.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Carney's telling him not to do it.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
But that's the most popular ride. That is the most
popular thing on the planet. Last year, when we were there,
we spent an hour of the two hours waiting in
line for that one little stupid thing. And I try
to explain to these kids, guys, go do the bounce houses,
run around with your friends. Waiting in line for this

(17:12):
is a waste of your time waits.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
You guys squatted or you didn't wait in line.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
This is last year. So I said, going into this year, guys,
if you want to do that, you need to do
it first thing. And I said, we got to get
there right at five, so you guys are first in line,
and so what time do we get there five h two?
There's already fifteen people in line. But that's more doable.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Than an hour.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Wait. Yeah, but people got there twenty five minutes early
to be first in line because they didn't want to
waste their whole time in line.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Have they not heard of Dix or what's the other one?
Outdoor fitness at the opry Land you can go climb
a wall for free.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
You just act like you're gonna buy their gear.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
I don't know if kids can do it though, yeah, Ray,
that's more for like forty eight year old divorcees trying
to get mountain boots.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
So we get in line and then there's the rock
climbing one. I was like, hey, Bud, why don't you
guys go to the rock climbing one because there's only
like four people in line. I'll hold your spot here.
And he's, I don't have my wristband yet, Dad, I
can't get in line. I was like, mom is getting
your wristband. If you go wait in line, she'll bring
you the wristband. You'll be four in line, hit the

(18:24):
rock climbing wall, then you'll come over to me. And
baby Box is such a like rule follower. He's like,
I'm not dead, I'm not doing it. I can't get
in line till I have a wristband. I was like, look,
I'm in line now, I don't have a wristband. He goes, yeah,
but it's okay because I'm with you. Okay, don't understand
your logic. Fine, Fine, So the wife brings the wristbands.

(18:46):
Then he runs over the rock climbing line. Well, we've
already moved up a little bit in the bouncy line, yes,
And I'm sitting there and they go getting the rock
climbing line and there's these three kids they're probably fourth
or fifth grade, may come and get in front of me, okay,
And I'm like, well, I've already been in this line

(19:08):
for twenty two minutes. Boys, I don't know what you
think you're doing. And I'm I think they're mistaken. I'm like, hey, guys,
just so you know the end of the lines back there.
And they're like, no, no, we were here, we were here. Huh.
And this is the point I got to decide, is
there a confrontation between old pops and these fourth or

(19:28):
fifth graders or do I let it slide.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
You gotta stand down, you let it go right?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Yes, they're fifth gradersh.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Wrong Again, I said, hey, man, I like your spurs
jersey and all that. But you three are gonna have
to go to the back of the line. We've been
waiting and you're not gonna just come up here and
cut to the back of the line. Boys, And they
go really, And I was like, yeah, really, you're not
cutting in front of us. We've been waiting for twenty

(19:56):
two minutes. Go ahead and just see the line. There's
it's just right back there. So turn around and go
and they go, oh, they turn around, go the back
of the line. Your son was with you, No, it
wasn't with me. See, that would have been a moment
he needed to see. I was holding the spot.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, and I just is anybody else feeling that they
were slighted?

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Yeah? There was a The mom behind me goes good.
I was about to go, Mama, bear on them.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Well, pull the sock out of your mouth, say something.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
I was like, well, I'm glad you just left me
on an island. Random woman, I don't know, but I said,
I'm not gonna let someone cut in front of me.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Pull the deep fried oreo out of your gullet say something.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I'm not gonna let him cut in front of me.
So I'm with you. They needed to go and they went.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
It was good.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
And we got up there and they did the bouncy thing,
and then.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Was it smart to divide and conquered? It was smart
because we got one roll in to town in a week.
Just got the email this morning.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Oh you got a divide and conquer because here we go.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
We get it's just me and Bazer, no kids. Oh creepy,
creepy Bazer said it'd be good to support the community.
I was like, we don't have kids. Yeah, it's kind
of creepy because I mean, what am I am I
gonna be the one that's jumping on it?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Was there adults jumping? No, no adults, No adults climbing
the rock wall. No adults jumping on the bouncing.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
So it really is just for kids.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, it's just for kids. Literally, just for kids. And
so we I'm about to go there. I gotta call
my wife. Hey, guys, guys, it's uh, it's your turn.
You got to get over here. And they haven't even
gone on the rock wall yet because the rock wall.
The bad part about that is they let kids climb
and they don't do a time limit.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
There needs to be.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yes, like the bouncy thing, it's like a minute and
a half each, and they bounce and then they get
off and the guy has a They all have a
stopwatch rock Wall.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
You reach the summit, you're out, you know.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
But if you don't reach the summit, you gotta get
off after them.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Well, in real life it means died that then there
they should have somebody standing there.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
You're dead, No, they're strapped in.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Man, you don't get to the summit in a minute,
you're dead. And the kid's gone. He just says that.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Right to him.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Hey, just so you know, boys, you sure you want
to do this rock Wall?

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I want to do it. You have
one minute to reach the summit.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
All right, Tommy, one minute to the top. You're dead.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
So fast.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
So far, fifteen kids have died today. Dude, I would
love to be a Carnie. That's exactly how I would
do the ride.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
So they run over and they get they're about to
get on the jumpie thing, and then Baby Box Two's
friend comes running out and goes, what's up, guys, I'll
just take off my shoes and get on with you.
And I'm like, oh boy, this is a moment that
it's gonna be. I just told those kids they couldn't cut,
and I had to decide do I let this poor
sap cut in front of us because he's just showing

(22:47):
up to the carnival. I told him, Hey, Bud, we've
been waiting in line. You're gonna have to go to
the back of line. Sorry, can't jump. Not a hypocrite,
Not gonna be a hypocrite. So the kids jump, Then
they get off, and they immediately go and it's their
turn on the rock wall. Go on the rock wall.
Freaking fantastic time management, time management like a.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Boss, efficiency, like the big Show.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
So then we don't see them for like an hour.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Who are your kids? Yeah, that's that sounds like a problem.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
They just run off there with their friends.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
The four year old. I've heard stories the four year.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Old doesn't even go to that school. We didn't see
him for an hour, and everybody's like, where's he. We're like, oh,
he's around here, somewhere.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Open range parenting. I mean somebody else, baby.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Said no, no, when you're in a carnival at the school,
I mean, that's where all their friends are. They they
and he was probably chasing his brothers.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
No more kids, the more relaxed you can be they're
out doing their own thing.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
When there they're gang it's cool, it's fun to see.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Let them terrorize.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
And so then we get some food and then they're like,
can we get snow cones? And I go in. The
snow cone line is forty five minutes long.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
They need to have I don't know, a second snow
cone sand a, I can't rock wall, a second trampoline
that kind of has a little bounce left in it.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Not bad ideas, not bad idea at all.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Once the lines get that long, you probably need doubles
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
But then I look up and I see the neighbor
with the kid that goes, eh.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Oh no, not little Timmy.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Uh. He's third from the front, And so I send
him a text. I said, hey, man, can you get
me three rainbow snow cones? And I don't see him
checking his phone.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Daddy brought a little liquor bottle.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
I don't see him checking his phone. And I'm like,
and he's now second in line.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Bird call him.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I'm about to say, man, we're about to miss our opportunity.
So I walked up. I was like, what's up, dude,
what's up? How you been? How you been all right, man,
good to see you. Check your phone, check your phone.
And then I walk away and he pulls out the
phone and he orders me the three rainbow snow cones. See.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
I saw this on something on the internet. At a
baseball game. Whyever wait in line? Just go to the
person ordering, slip them two twenties and say, hey, get
me two beers, and then the second they get them,
you grab them from them. Why wouldn't everybody do that?
Why ever wait in line at a concession stand at
a baseball game.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Maybe not beers, because you know you gotta have a
certain amount of IDs, but hey, get two pops, here's
forty bucks. You're not waiting in line.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Saves you time.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
You're gonna pay it, maybe ten dollars extra, but you
know what, you don't wait for twenty minutes on some
of these concession lines.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
You're right, you're paying a premium. But that's okay. Yeah,
you're you're getting.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Out of there. So somebody says he does it every time.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
I'm like, that's if a guy tapped me on the
shoulder and said, hey, nacho and pretzels, here's forty bucks,
I feel like, uh yeah, you want straws, a couple
of napkins mustard.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
I mean, that's amazing, dude. You got money, you can
cut all kinds of lides.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Yeah, money gives you a lot of options. So he
gets us the rainbow note cones. We're sitting down at
the tables and I look up. Baby Box is back
in line for the climbing wall, him and his buddy Jimmy,
and then baby Box two goes and gets in line.
Then baby Box three gets in line with them, and
then Baby Box one comes over and goes, dad, Dad,

(26:08):
we got the last in line sign. We're the last
ones that get to do it.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Thank god. They're shutting this thing.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Down, and I'm like, great, man, that is awesome. There's
twenty five minutes left in the carnival, and they wait
and line patiently. They eat their snow cones in line
because they don't want to miss their chance to do
the rock wall one more time, and they wait. I'm
so impressed with them being so patient. Usually they'd lose

(26:33):
listeners get out of line. Hey Dak, can you wait
in line for us? You know? But they did it
all on their own. They're sitting there, talking, hanging out,
being friends and they're getting closer.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
There's some rock climbing movie out right now with Cherish Throne.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Watch it.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Never seen.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
It's actually pretty good.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
What's it called.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I don't know titles and movies, but rock climbing great, adventurous,
not a lot of talking, a lot of adventure.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Okay, well this is about to get adventurous. And they
have to sign. They got this there about four people
from the front, so they toss a sign over to
the side because they're ready to go. They're getting their
hands warmed up, and I walk over there to watch them.
I'm like, oh, boys, we're almost there. We're almost there.
And this lady walks up. I don't know who this
lady is. She got brown hair, hot, not bad at all,

(27:19):
not bad at all. She was not bad to look at.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
That's for you truckers. I need you, guys, needed an image.
Those roads can get lonely.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah, and she takes the little sign off the gate
and she's like, oh, guys, sad to say, but we're
about to run out of time and so we're only
gonna let two more go. And so that was gonna
be Baby Walks one and his friend Jimmy and I said, oh,
what about the other two? She goes, yeah, it stops
at seven. I'm sorry, it's not gonna have it's what
we only got time for two more.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
It's like a country artists. For every minute they go
over a time, they get charged fifteen.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Thousand dollars or something.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Yeah, I'm like, most bizarre law that doesn't make or
match the crime at all.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Yeah, we're gonna, We're gonna. We got to shut down
because we got to tear this down. We have a
certain amount of time. It takes us twenty minutes to
tear this down. We have to be off the lot
by seven point thirty. I said, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I said, I would understand that. I said, but they
had the last in line sign. You guys, they were
handed the last in line sign, so all four of

(28:19):
them should be allowed to go facts And she goes, yeah,
I wasn't here. I don't know. They could have been
just passing the last in line sign back. I don't
like to call my lawyer on Fridays. You know what
I'm saying, ma'am. And I said, ma'am, they could have
done that, but I sat here and watched them. They're

(28:39):
my kids. I watched them be handed that sign.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Second confrontation alert in the last twenty minutes.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
I said, also, do you think a kindergartener realizes, hey, man,
if I take this sign and pass it back, the
line will never end. A kindergartener doesn't think that way.
They think, oh, I got last in line sign, and
they say, you hold this until you get to the front.
Guess what they're gonna do, hold it until they get
to the front.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
So is their fault for mistiming the time?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yes, they're the ones that handed the last in line sign.
And she goes, yeah, I'm just sorry. There's nothing really
I can do. And she starts to walk away, so
I follow her.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
What the interesting tactic?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Well, I'm not I mean, I'm not meaning by following
her an aggressive way, but following her in a what
the hell are you doing kind of way? And I
walk over it where the kids are not you know,
they can't hear me, And I said, ma'am, I don't
know what your problem is, but you're about to crush
the souls of two young gentlemen over there because they've
been waiting in line patiently for twenty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Is this a schoolworker or a carneye.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Oh, this is a school worker. There is like a
PTO parent. I said, They've been waiting for twenty five
minutes patiently. They ate their snow cones in line. They
sat there, they did the waiting, They did everything guys
asked them to do. And now you're telling them they
can't do it. This is on you. So when they
start crying here in a minute, I want you to

(30:08):
feel those tears.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
I mean, she's unpaid at this point, she's unpaid, school
days over.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
She's PTO. She ain't she's a parent volunteer man.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
And she goes, yeah, sorry about that, but thank you
guys for coming.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
She's got to get home to those margaritas on a Friday.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
And she turned around and walked away.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Yeah, Jose's margarita's. The deal closes at seven point thirty.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
And so then baby box two, baby Box three, the
gate was slammed in their face.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
See, I appreciate her hard and the heart, holding a
hard line.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
And they were told no more climbers, no more climbers,
and you guessed it. Tears came. Did that lady feel
them now? Because she walked away. She even see the
damn tears.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
I'll have them climb the couch when they get home.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
That was confrontations at the carnival. Man, we'll take a break.
We'll be right back. Ray.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yeah, you got about ten minutes to tell this story.
Because our podcast is now on strict regulations.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
The line will be closed.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
I have a story's left. It gets left on the
cutting room floor, per Pto Lady.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
I went to play golf on Friday, man, random kid Cody,
Now that's today. We're going today. And I get there
and I'm like, hey, you know, can you squeeze in
a single? And they're like, yeah, man, there's a twosome
that just went off the front tee the number one.
You go te off, Now you can catch up with him. Great,
So I hurry up, boom, get in front of a foursome,
catch up with the twosome, play the front nine, but

(31:50):
they'd already played the back nine, so they're done and
they are leaving there out after nine. And so there's
another twosome on the tenth tea box and their walkers.
So I'm like, well, if they're walking them as well,
give up my cart and I'll walk too, and I
join up with them, and hey, man, the two guys
I was playing with they left after you know, they've

(32:11):
already played eighteen. Oh yeah, what's sub dude? What's suck
With's s up? What's up?

Speaker 1 (32:15):
My homies?

Speaker 2 (32:15):
And one dude's probably, you know, early thirties, other dudes
probably sixty, And how's going, how's going? Nice meets you?
Nice meets you?

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
We play number ten and we're walking from ten to eleven,
and the guy that's probably in his mid thirties has
music playing, and the older guy's like, man, that music
industry just it's such a weird thing, man, he goes,
I think it's I think it's very demonic.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
I think AI is writing them songs.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
He goes, I think it's very demonic and satanic. And
it starts at the top all the way down.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
I feel you on that it's secular.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
And that and the guy that's in this mid thirty goes, oh, man,
one hundred percent agree with you.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Man, nice conversation topic.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Now he's like, did you see last week that Mariah
Carey's mom and sister died on the same day and
Justin Bieber did a blood sacrifice for them. I read
that too, man, I've read that too.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
How do I get out of this threesome?

Speaker 2 (33:16):
And I'm like, what the hell is going on?

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Did you tell them about the big show?

Speaker 2 (33:23):
They say, and he's like, yeah, dude, it just shows
you that it's from the top, that something satanic about
the whole industry, and you know the bloodsuckers that you
know are at the top and the mid thirty guys. Goes, Oh,
I know, man, I was an up and coming songwriter.
Man I was. I was. I mean, my phone was
blowing up. I was really starting to make it. He goes.
I was having all these opportunities my phone, I mean,

(33:46):
my emails. I was just full of everything.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
They're like, if only we knew somebody in the country
music industry that.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
We could tell this stuff too, it's your shot.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
And they they're like, He's like, yeah, man, I was
writing songs. Man, my name was starting to be out there.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Who is this guy exactly freaking Morgan Wallen?

Speaker 2 (34:09):
No, no, no, no, Then he goes, and then I
started speaking my mind on some things about how it's
kind of satanic and demonic, and people started looking at
me weird. He goes. Then I went to a writer's
round and I got up there and I played a
song because I was tired of not saying the truth.
He goes. I got up there and I played what

(34:29):
they called a controversial song. He goes. It was so
controversial you could hear a pin drop in that room.
I was like, or there was no one there?

Speaker 1 (34:39):
What was it called our Country? I'm not sure?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
And he goes, And I realized right then that I
should never play that song again. He goes. But after
I played that song, I wasn't getting emails anymore. I
wasn't getting phone calls. My opportunity dried up.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
Dude, did you ask him if we ever played this
song on the Big Show?

Speaker 2 (35:04):
They're like, yeah, that industry is just a weird I mean,
I don't know about it. I don't know what's going on.
I don't know how it got that way, but something
needs to turn it around. Ray.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
It was called hunting, fishing, and loving every day.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
And then we get to the number eleven tea box
and I'm like, so, Jason, what do you do for
a living? Gibbles And I'm like, come.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
On, did you gotta go buy Hollywood? Once? Well, that'll
give it away.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Then I said air conditioning salesman.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Pretty busy now summer.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Uh No, because after they had this whole five minute
monologue and banter about the music industry being demonic and satanic,
I said, I'm out. I don't need to talk about this.
I don't want them to be like, oh, so you're
in on that, you're one of those Satan worship wasn't
gonna do it?

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, Mosquito bit me the other day. We're blood brothers. Now.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
I did a ritual, I mean vac and Baser got
this gun off amazon on that sucks the blood out.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Now, Oh, I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
She's like, shoot me.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
I was like, what the And so I have this
gun thing that shoots it right out of her Yes,
speaking of blood sucking and so, what was the title
of the song?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
I want to go stream it?

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Dude, I should ask him.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
He said that he's never gotten an email. It was
that powerful of a song.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
No, is that controversial. You could hear a pin drop
and he realized, Man, I should not play that song again.
He goes, but I never had the chance because that
was my last opportunity. I didn't get any emails, no calls,
And I'm like.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Was the song called the Statue of Liberty, Like, how
is it that controversial.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Song was called Death to America?

Speaker 1 (36:44):
I mean song was called Our Forefathers ray. Like what
was the song about? You could hear a pin drop? Yeah,
because it was bad.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
And I'm like, there is no way you play that
song one time. That every single offer, every single offer
just dries up because you play one song one time,
there is no way and that The older guy was like, man,
that sucks for you. Man, I'm sorry. He goes yeah, Man,
I was really on the I was, I was making it.
My name was starting to float around in the high circles.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Okay, so this guy was gonna be the next Luke
Combs probably Wow, his name was Luke Crumbs and he
was on his way up.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Then we get to one hole and he hits his
drive and it clips like some leaves and it goes
way out there and we walk and walk. He's looking,
He's like, wow, look how far I mean I even
hit the tree and look how far it went. And
me being smart ascot, Yeah, those steroids really working for you, man,

(37:50):
And he goes no, but actually pet tides, he goes no, Actually,
though I did Rep. Two O five twenty five times
on Monday.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
That's not that good. I could have outlifted. No, no, no, oh.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
I was just making a joke about steroids. I didn't hear.
I need to hear about your bench press, man, I
don't care about your bench press.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
If his songwright he went south, how does he have
money to golf? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Maybe he did make some money from that song, the
one that he only played once, Yeah, the unmentionable.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Probably maybe they said here, we're going to pay you
to never play that again. We will pay you to
never play that again.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
I always wonder, though, how is he of the golf course? Like,
how is he out there? How does he have money?

Speaker 2 (38:30):
I don't know. The other guy had just retired, right sixty.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
I get it, you're retired.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
But the thirty year old golfing in the middle of
the day, How can you do that?

Speaker 2 (38:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
It was awesome, it was awkward, it was uncomfortable. So
I never told him what I did. I told him
Americ conditioning sales because if they ask any questions, Nope,
that that ended the conversation. Oh that's cool.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
They know you got to find the right ducks, and
you know, yes, some of these air conditioners. You put
him on the roof, you put them on the ground.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
You never know exactly.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
You know, you don't want him to be uneven rainwater.
My dad comes into town, tells him I got to
clean off the top of it for no reason.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
You never know.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
These air conditioning Some of them are louder, some of
them are quieter. Some of them are pumping all over
the floor. Two hundred acres.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah, yeah, and then I love I love watching people
on the golf course how they keep score. Because the
guy hit one short on a par three, then he
scalds it across the freaking green Oh h was.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
It Smolly who scold or Schmidt? There was a pro
golfer HPGA championship that scold.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
I did video Rory. Did you see on her Instagram?

Speaker 3 (39:30):
No, Rory goes to one of the fans, Hey, you
and I said, this is Arnold on Monday when we
tell him to get paper off the printer.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Oh, that's weird. You want to know my cousin. He
was supposed to go. But guess what his buddies when
Rory yelled f you guess what? They were standing right
next to the dude that.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Yelled, well, thanks for posting that.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Well, I just got it last night late watch. He
turns around, boom, he does it right after it.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Right after that, they said, your cousin videoed the part
up until he yelled it.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
No, my cousin. My cousin was supposed to be there,
but he just had maybe at least seven weeks ago,
so he had to cancel on them. But all his
boys were there and they said it was a frat
naddy that yelled it. Because I thought, dude, when I
was watching it live, I said, dude, I texted my
cousin I wanted to and I said, hey, your buddy,
it sounded like he was just on TV. And he goes,
no chance, my boys are yelling. They're too scared to

(40:26):
yell at them. Something like that, and he got a
report back from them. They were literally right next to
the guy said it was definitely a frat daddy, and I.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Think he was something to do with the ryder cup.
Maybe somebody said USA or something like that. But it
was in Philadelphia, yeah, And they kept doing flyovers of
the river. The river was colored and jim Nance goes,
absolutely beautiful day in Philadelphia, The gorgeous river, Jim, that's

(40:53):
the color of like, honest to God, the Cumberland looks
better than that river, and so I don't know. And
then they would chill the sky Our skyline is more
impressive than Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
That city is deteriorating. That's all I took from that.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
I saw about hour and a half of the golf
total the whole weekend. Most of it was on Sunday,
and I realized that I did fall asleep for forty
minutes of it, so I really saw about an hour
of it. Maybe that's all I saw, so I didn't
really get to see much golf. Congratulations Aaron Rye. But yes,
I felt like I was in the PGA Championship on

(41:27):
Friday when I was playing with these random dudes and
he's scalding across the green. Then he scalds it back
across the green, and he's like, man, another par what.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
What that's almost impossible? No, it is because it was
a par three unless he drove the green. No, it
was a par three. He left it short, scalded it across,
then scaled it back across, and then he gets done.
He's like, par Man, I've parted every hole in the
back nine. I'm like, that would be a double.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
He's like, and I'm and he's like, I've never parted
every hole in the back nine before. And I'm like,
well you still have it.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Sounds like a good guy.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
That's fun, man, that's a good time. So yeah, that
was my weekend.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Man.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
That's all I got. We gotta go, Happy Monday, Go
Spurs go, Wesley. Just I hope you cry tears tonight.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
I'm playing already.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
I'm ninety nine percent sure they play tonight.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
That's unlike the NBA. It's usually about five days in
between games. You forget the playoffs are even still going.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Yeah, I mean, let's see NBA. I hope it's tonight.
What's today's date? The eighteen Friday?

Speaker 3 (42:30):
And then Monday turn around that seven thirty tonight. Man,
that is unlike the NBA. Oh, I'll be two and
a half hours, yep. I know.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
You'll be two and a half hours deep and sleep.
I will be on the couch, Spurs shirt on, and
I will be ready to go. Go Spurs go. We
gotta go. Man. That was good.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
I thought that was good. Dude, that was good. That
was good.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
And I still got more. I still got more. For Wednesday.
Save it, No, I will, I'll save it all right.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
I got to stop this man. You got to get
to golf. I'll have more golf stories on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Oh yeah, because I'm going with Cody. Dude. Maybe maybe
I'll invite those guys. Maybe he can write a song
while we're golfing.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
He's probably busy writing another controversial song.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Dude, what if we bring him in here and this
is his big break to get back in the industry.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
You're like, what was the title of the song?

Speaker 3 (43:22):
And he's like, oh, it was it's called the entire
audience of people listening to this song. Oh, I mean,
that's probably why they didn't like it. What was the
title of that song? I went controversial. I called it
your mom Oh, and he didn't. It didn't play well
in Nashville.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Got it
