Speaker 1 (00:01):

up on our screen. That doesn't work anymore. It's expired
the video program, so I had to x that out
every time.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Ah, welcome back, man, A. What shirt are you wearing?

Speaker 3 (00:13):

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Huh, coacher? I got USA Soccer on two. It's a
big day. Today is a big freaking day.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I about died when you had your shirt on. Oh man,
I wasn't gonna come to work without supporting the.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
US of A.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Oh my goodness, coacher.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Welcome back, man.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I had to put the kilt on. Is how you
call it?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I know, kilt is what you It's a kit kit, Yes,
the USA kit. That's interesting. I mean, where'd you get
that one?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Man?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Marshalls for nine dollars? Baser found it.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
Wow, that is a great deal.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Fit's good too, it does, man, Because mine is an
older jersey.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I was gonna say, am I the new logo?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
No, no, but I have the our logos are both outdated.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
No, no, no, I have the new jersey. It's just at
the house. It needs to be washed because we did
was it fireworks in it?

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Yeah? Fireworks?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So it smells like smoke and I figure. If I
brought that in here, people would be upset.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
We're both wearing the unk logos that aren't even the
new ones. Yeah, guys, we are a podcast, the sports podcast,
and I was informed last week that we probably talked
five percent sports according to Batter's Box and Toolbox.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
My brother and my dad they were like, they don't
even talk sports anymore. It is just a nonsense podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
That's actually a great way to put it. Yeah, but
we're a spin off of the Bobby Bone Show. We
both do that show in the morning, do this in
the afternoon. And everybody complains and says we don't give
it are all, but we give it all heart.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Dude, I'm gonna give this all I can. I am
so tired it has been I just got back.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I am warm out. I'm sure we'll hear all about it.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Are all about it.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Man.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Vacation, Man, it was a vac for the ages.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
You know, when people are tired, so tired that they
almost sound drunk.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
That stage you're at right now, I said, that's my fault.
That's on me. Take your buddy on a Friday night
when he's had a couple too many. You're like, hey, man,
let's head home. That is what But that's how I
should have treated you. But you still have a job
to do.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, actually got a job to do. I gotta get
my eyes open. It's tough, man, I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I will. I will be hitting the Knap circuit today.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
We are one hundred and forty days away from the
Sore Losers Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, twenty twenty seven, presented.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
By Freelan Chevrolet.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
And those boys are doing some work.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I just put up a post of them, thanking them
for helping me out. I did the trailblazer, made sure
I didn't have the license plate in it, so you
guys can't search me on the internet and see how
the police activity that that trailblazer has been in. But yeah,
I put as much of the footage as I could
of pulling it in getting under the hood. Richard's tearing
the ass out of it. Let's try and get that
thing back on the road.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, Sorelosers dot com, Man, Sorelosers dot com. Now, ray,
are you posting in real time or I have no idea, dude,
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I really don't care if you're doing real time or.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Not because white cars at the garage.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
It is Oh, welcome back. That will be for another day.
I will be.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Let's get it started.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Man, We're gonna do it live. We oh the one
two three sore losers? What up, everybody? I have lunchbox
out there. I know the most about sports, so I'll
give you sports facts, my sports opinions, because I'm a
sports genius. Is I pretty much a sports genius, y'all?

(03:50):
It is Sisson. I'm from the North, Alpha male, live
on the north side of Nashville. Baser two point three acres,
two kids at Vanderbilt, or just eggs. Probably not gonna
ever be any more than that. We do pay five
hundred dollars a year year to keep those eggs. I
wonder if you can just do that forever, imperpetuity. Who knows?
Do eggs stay good forever? Somebody google that, because we
don't google anyways, y'all. That's all I got justin living

(04:13):
in Michigan. I don't think he's coming home. His dog's
dead in our yard. It's buried, and he hasn't visited
in eight months. Coach over to you. I see tickets
are on sale. Yeah, tickets are on sale. But the moment,
the main thing here is man, it is go time.
It was vak time, you know, Now we go, Now
we go.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
And so all week lead up to vake K we're
driving down to the lake outside of Austin, hitting up
Lake LBJ. If you want to look on it on
a map, if you want to get a picture of
what it looks like, you can google that lake. It
looks absolutely fantastic. It's a constant level lakes. You don't
have to worry about a drought, you don't have to
worry about rain. They're always gonna have water in that thing.

(04:57):
And so I tell my wife, Hey, we gotta be
ready to go because after the swim meet on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
We have got to hit the open road.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
So all week.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Long, I pack and I pack my stuff. I pack
the dog stuff, I pack the kids stuff. I am
ready to freaking go, like there is no wasting time.
I want to get to the lake, get in that
green water with the moss on the ground, the dirt,

(05:29):
the mud you sink in.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
That is Heaven saw you and your daddy packing last night.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, And so I have the car packed with those
things and we get done with the swim meet and
we drive home and my wife still has to pack.
How in the world do you have all week? I
pack the kids, I packed myself, I packed the dog,

(06:00):
and you ain't packed condoms.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Not gonna need those.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Man, We're in a three bedroom house with about twelve
twenty people, so I don't think those are gonna have
any relevance.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Whatsoever, save some space. So we just sit and wait
and sit and wait. And she's running around. Oh, I
gotta put my clothes in the dryer. What is she
getting like, bras panties, bras panties, swimsuit And I don't
really understand what you need for the lake.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
I mean the kids.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I gave them three pairs of shorts, three shirts, and
a swimsuit.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Because you get out of the water, you put some
dry clothes on. Boom, there you go lake life. You're
not I didn't put their shoes in. You just have crocs.
You don't need anything else, just some sandals from when
we make pit stops in the car. You can go in,
get some food, go to the bathroom, get back in
the car. At the lake, you're never gonna wear them.
You don't put.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Shoes on and crocs. You put the strap up. That's
turbo mode.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Oh didn't really, They're still in the age where they
put the cross the strap behind their ankle so they
don't fall off.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
That's turbo mode. Oh the fast as possible. Oh, because
they don't fly off. Yeah, got it, My bad.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
And so finally my wife after about an hour and
a half of wasted time, maybe two hours, it's like,
all right, I'm ready to go, and so we get
in the car and we're out.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
We drive.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I mean it's already like three o'clock in the afternoon.
We're making bad time already. You ain't flying, No, man,
were driving.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
That's poor, poor, that's how we roll. Man. It's really
expensive to fly an you would get me to go
through TSA and a car. Have you seen the gas
prices out there? So man, you got to drive, and
you like cross the state lines under your own free will? Yeah?
I do like crossing the lines on my own free will.
So we drive.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
First night, we only get to Little Rock, not very far,
so we still got like a eight or nine hour drive.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
The next day, I heard that state is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I've just stayed on the highway. I haven't really ventured
out heard a lot of good things. And we pull
up at the hotel and it's like eight summit o'clock
at night, free HBO and we get some barbecue that
wasn't very good.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
And the kids are like, Dad, can we go to
the pool, And I'm like, no, we're not going to
the pool. We're going to bed. And they got the
lake coming up. We got the lake you just got
out of the pool earlier when you had a swim meet.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
We are going to bed.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
What's what the dang watering kids? They love the water.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
But I will say that every once in a while
when we stayed at a hotel and they had that
pool outside, and I mean getting a swimming it was
one of the coolest things.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Ever for kids.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
For kids.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
When I was a kid, I remember like if we
got there early enough to swim in an outdoor pool
at a hotel, we thought, oh my gosh, we're living
the life.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
But asn't an adult. Are you going to a pool
at a hotel?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
No? One of the actually motels is what it sounds
like you saying, yeah, I mean I get if it's indoors,
it's in closed, there's a bar area, maybe a resort
style hotel, but just one of those along the interstate
as an adult. You're not getting in the water.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Yeah you could hear that.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
You could the Interstate was right there from the pool.
You could definitely see the Interstate in the cars.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Whoo whoosh whoosh flying by. You're not getting in that.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
And I'm my guys, we gotta go to bed, and
there's no way we can stay up.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
We were so tired. We got to get up early.
We got to hit the road.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
And so we get up early Sunday and then we
lollygag and we take two hours to get in the car.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I mean, but you're the dad.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
You got to call the shot. I was ready to go, man,
just leave. Uh the dog was I slept terribly. It
was hot in the hotel room. The dog was going crazy.
Made me take it out at twelve thirty at night.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Then it was up, back up.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
We were back up, or I mean at six am,
I'm ready to go take the dog for a walk.
Then the white it's like, oh, I guess we'll eat breakfast.
You know, should we eat it on the road. I'm like, yeah,
we should eat on the road.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Ah, But they have one of those free breakfasts. At
the hotel.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Why he walked the dog.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
I'll get them breakfast pocket muffins. Okay, so I walked
the dog, I get gas. All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Let's get on the road and then we drive to
the lake. Dude, we get there like seven o'clock at night.
It takes almost you know, I don't know why it
took so long, but it did.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
I'd say Lake Day was missed then, I know.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Not in Texas.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Man, you don't realize it stays light till nine o'clock,
nine fifteen. So we immediately get there.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Hug, everybody will Let's put our swimsuits on, cannonball into
the lake. How long have they been there? Batter's Box
got there a few hours before us. Mom and Dad
got there at like eleven o'clock. Maybe on Sunday. Batters
Box have an hour drive.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Yeah, any rolls in at night?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah, I don't. I mean I would have been there
at ten am. I would have been there at ten am. Two.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
That's here and nor there.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You know. I'm like, hey, man, you my name's been it.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I'm up in it.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
And so the heck of a track.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
My name is Jake.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I love the lake. You know what I'm saying it
was great. And so we're there and we do everything.
We hang out, we swim. I don't even know what
we ate, if we even ate dinner. That night we
had to have something and my mom had ordered groceries,
went and got groceries. She only got two hundred dollars
worth of groceries and she thought that was gonna last
all week for six kids, seven kids and like eight

(11:33):
nine adults.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Two hundred dollars. Baser went to Sprouts for like leafs
and berries and it was ninety Yeah, it was. It was.
It was weird.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
And she was like the next day, we're like, we're
gonna to order foods. She goes, what I just ordered food?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
And I'm like, mom, I cashed out those cookies last night.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
We ate like all that in one night.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
You ever heard of fourth meal? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:56):
And so I was like, I'm sorry, mom, but we're
gonna have to order more food. So we ordered more
food and then we I mean, we got.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
A boom big order. What did Batter's box roll up
with a suitcase of beer, a couple twenty four pounds.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Batter's Box rolled up with his hat, his phone, a swimsuit,
and his son at a prayer and a prayer. He
was lost, dude, he was just at the leg, just chilling.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Hey, did he bring his second change of clothes?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
No? I don't think he did because they had to
leave on Monday because his son had baseball practice Monday
night and a baseball game Tuesday night.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Brutal And so.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
We wake up Monday. Sister was supposed to roll in
in the morning with her three kids. At they rolled
in about two thirty.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Your family loves an afternoon and a late arrival.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Yeah, so they roll up and then it's just crowded.
It's crowded with all of us. You got six dogs,
you have seven children, the six dogs unnecessary. They make
places for that.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
You have six adults.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
But is it for it?

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Is it really a place built for six dogs?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
No, that's too many.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
I mean there's a yard, there's water, there's a house.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I don't know if there's and right off the bat
my dog and sisters dogs.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
They're not meshing.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
And we got all week to figure this out. But
they kind of go out each other a few times.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Lead dogs the only dog with a decent view.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
So that was a little rough.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
That was a little rough, but I mean, then we
just we party. D We swim and swim and swim
and swim, and then about four o'clock, Batter's Box like,
hey son, we gotta go.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
He's been there twelve hours.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
And he's like, what do you like? We got baseball practice?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And his son goes, Dad, I'll just skip baseball practice.
Love of the game, Hey man, go baseball and Batter's
Box goes, it's not the way it works, you know,
practice you don't play.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
What a motivational speech at the lake.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, and he's supposed to play on Tuesday night and
he's gonna be starting pitcher. And so they leave and
we do our thing, and we hang out all night
and we stay up late. I mean kids staying up
till eleven o'clock at night, eleven thirty.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
That's extreme.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
And they, I will say they.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
So then Tuesday morning they get up, I mean, they
wake up at six forty five, no matter what, because
they are so excited to fish, so excited to fish,
and you know, the Box family vacations are usually full
of injuries. And so they go fish in that Tuesday
morning and pickle rick and somebody catches a catfish, and

(14:37):
I mean, I'm not awake yet. I need to sleep
in for a couple of days as I'm exhausted.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
From this trip.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
And so when the kids get up at six forty five,
who's taking care of them?

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Grandpa wakes up to go fishing. Ok, he is, the
dogs get him up. All the dogs start waking up,
and oh my gosh, with six dogs they smell one
thing outside. It's like they all start one to go outside.
I mean, it really does sound like a pet. Smart dude,
it is. It's like you can each have done it
at home there. You can probably for a couple hundred
bucks had somebody to take care of it. Probably probably.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
But it's more fun to have the chaos of everything
going on. I mean, we don't have enough going on
trying to keep track of six children.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
If there were six dogs at an airbnb, I would
have turned around and not had that. I swear to God,
I would not have gone in that airbnb. And so
we're kind of laying in bed and it's like seven
forty and all of a sudden, I hear.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Baby box three.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
First injury of the trip.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
A hook, not a hook this time. We got hooks
last year. This first injury, I go Rick my nephew
caught a fish. Grandpa was holding it.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
It was a.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Caddy, a catfish. Grandpa didn't have a good grip, slips
out of his hand. Max Baby Box three in the head.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
He got hit by a fish.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
He got hit by a fish and cap fit catfish
is like a little fin. Things are poisonous, oh okay,
And so it's poked him in the head. He's bleeding
down the side of his face. And I'm like, here
we go, welcome to bad eye.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Shit. Baby. Well you know where the minute clinic is.
And luckily we were like, man, you don't need to
go to the clinic. Put some ice on it, and
we just we're hanging out Tuesday and my dad, Grandpa
has a great idea. He's like, hey kids, hey kids,
Without asking the adults, he says, who wants to go
to your cousin's baseball game tonight?

Speaker 3 (16:40):
That's actually a good idea.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
It's an hour and forty five minutes away. I mean,
it's doable. It's lake life. Who gets a crap.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
I just drove twelve and a half hours. You know
what I don't want to do is get in the
car and drive an hour and forty five minutes to
a game and an hour and forty five minutes back.
That's three and a half hours. You can stay back, right,
And that's.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
What I said.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
I said, I'm out. I'm not doing it. I'm not
getting the car for three and a half hours. So
Granny and Grandpa are gonna get in the car and
drive them. Only problem is car only fet fits five.
Guess how many grandkids.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
There are illegal six car seats and seatbelts, so they
gotta take two cars. Your car. Oh man.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
But we're sitting around eating something about three thirty in
the afternoon and the front door opens. Batter's boxes back
with son and tow.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Game got moved, No game, no game.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
As you guys were already preparing to go.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
We're already preparing to go. I'm already pissed. I'm like,
all right, cool. And so he's like, game got moved
a Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Next day is gonna be flip filled with stuff.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. And I'm like
what times the game? He's like eight o'clock. I said,
I'm for sure not going. I am for sure not going.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
USA usas at seven, Boomer say, he's at seven.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Boomer watched it right here, and we only had paramounts.
We had to watch it in Espanol. Whoa three hour game?
Espanol two hours?

Speaker 2 (18:27):
And I was like, man, we are I'm definitely not going.
Uh yeah, that's it. And so we partied all that night, fish, swim,
do whatever we do, hang out.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
What are you guys going through bottles of booze, cases
of beer.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
They are drinking a ton of gatorade. The kids are
drinking like half a bottle.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
Then they leave it.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Gater Ay, juice boxes are ready to apple juice, a
lot of Caprice suns.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
So there's bottles all over this Airbnb, all over water.
Did anybody play that?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Yeah, we got some water. But you can drink water
from tap? What about prime?

Speaker 1 (19:01):
No?

Speaker 4 (19:01):
No prime?

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Tap? Kids?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Well the lake water that it's a little risky to
drink the tap water back in the day and make
you sick. Now I feel like it's like a real city.
They can let you out. You can drink the water.
I drink the tap water all week. I'm fine, you
look fine. I don't look fine. I'm tired.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
But it was great, man.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
So then all right, we're going to bed, go to
bedsh all right, Wednesday, get up fish seven am.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Man, we're out on the dock fishing.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
You are they are? Now?

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I was Wednesdays when I start making my appearance at
the fishing I need a talent. I needed two days
to kind of catch up with sleep. And then Wednesday
I'm in let's fish. And last year Grandpa had to
are we taking a break? Yeah, we'll take a break.
I'll tell you about Grandpa last year right after this.

(19:52):
So Grandpa, you know, last year spent the whole time
fixing tangled lines, getting fishing poles off.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
The dock, and this year he asked AI to do it.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
No, the kids are a little older, a little more mature,
a lot less tangled lines.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Man.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
It was a lot more peaceful out.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
There, a lot less care. A lot of them just
threw their poles on the ground and didn't fish.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
I will say my sister's son one of him.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
They got there and he dropped his hat in the
water immediately because it was kind of windy. And then
the first day of fishing, he fell in the water.
Then he dropped his pole in the water, and two
days later he dropped his pole water in the water again.
So he dropped two poles in the water, himself in
the water, and his hat in the water.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
So he's just uncoordinated. Like Batter's Box.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
It was a little rough one.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
And I forgot when Batter's Box came back on Tuesday
the wind, the Sahara wind, that the dust it had
affected Lake LBJ and it was moving and he brought
he went in my sister's stuff and got her son's
BUCkies football and we're out on the lily pad, which
is a pad you anchor down in the water and

(21:02):
it doesn't move. It's the greatest invention for the lake ever.
And he threw that bucket's ball, I mean not even
close over everybody's head.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Two bounces.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
It starts moving downstream, like oh, we'll just grab at
the end of the dock. By the time we got
to the dock, it was past the dock. It was
that fast of current. So we jumped the fence into
the neighbor's yard and he runs. He can't get it
on the first dock, so I jumped the fence, run
to the set there second dock, run, dive in with

(21:32):
a noodle because I'm not a strong swimmer, and I
swim and I swim and I go two houses and
I'm not any closer to that damn ball.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
So it was Batter's Box who airmailed it.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Airmailed.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
I thought he was a college pitcher.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
He was, And soon.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
He's yelling hurry, hurried, and I'm like, I'm trying. I'm
trying your dad, trying to see he's not even out there.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
And after two houses, I give up and I start
I'm just I'm into this random people's dock.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Don't know who they are.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
There's no one at the house, so I'm just gonna
get out the water and walk down the street. And
I got back on my dude, Sorry, couldn't get it,
and he goes, why'd you keep going? I was like,
you were yelling hurry, hurry, and he goes, no, I
was yelling leave it, leave it, don't worry. I was like, translation,
I was like the wind, dude, I heard you saying hurry, hurry.

(22:24):
You were saying don't worry. So rest in pees of
the BUCkies football if anybody found one on Lake LBJ
this weekend, and you can return it to me by
mailing it to Nashville.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
I appreciate that Batter's Box just tries to show off
the arm to the grandkids and nieces and nephews and
just airmails it.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Airmails it, dude.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Like.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
You tried to do too much. It was rough. Are
you Are you fishing with the kids? Are you just
watching them? I'm mostly watching what about batter's boxes? He fishing?

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Because I don't think fishing is fun at all. I
love the stories my nephew fish with my dad. Fishing
is the most boring thing in the world, So I'm
just curious, are you actually pulling water in his batter's box?

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Batter's box is in bed, Okay, thank you. He does
not get up for fishing. Okay.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
He doesn't get up till about eight thirty eight forty five,
so if the fishing is still happening, he does arrive
down to the dock and say hello. But my oldest
son is obsessed with fishing. Even when everybody's done fishing
for the day, he will just sit there.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
And fish and fish and fish. There's his career.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
No, he's not very good at it. He didn't catch
any fish, but he loves it. And he thinks you
have to have a whole worm on there for it
to be like if it gets one bite and it
takes part of the worm.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
I need no worm. It's not a full worm. You
guys going to the tackle spot getting some worm. We're
going to the cast station like twice a day. They
got him.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Oh I got worms, dude, night crawlers. Put those suckers on.
What day are we on? We're on wednesdayday and the
game's at eight o'clock, right, and so about three o'clock,
Batter's Box like, we got to go. And I'm like what,
and he goes, I got to pick up his mom
to go to the game. I was like, she can't

(24:07):
just meet you there. Why wouldn't you go straight here
from the game. He goes, that would be stupid, he'd
be exhausted. I'm like, okay, that's good point. Good point.
So I had convinced two of my kids to stay
back because the USA Soccer game is on Wednesday night,
so that a means we're not taking two cars supportive uncle, but.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Then all the cousins are going.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
So my two kids that are going to stay back,
which are the two oldest ones, like I want to go,
Actually I want to go.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, it sounds as a kid.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
The road trip to the game is way more fun
than dad with a bad cable connection.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
And so I am like, Grandpa's like, it's all right,
we'll just drive and you know, we'll fit them all
in and they're gonna bring my son, my brother's son
back with them. And I'm like, that's gonna be seven
kids in a five seater car.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Illegal. I'm just like, there's no way you can do it,
no way you can do it. And he's like, I'm like,
great grits, I gotta go. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yes,
I have to go to the game. Then I don't
want to go to right But are you having this
conversation in front of other people?

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Are the kids hearing you say this?

Speaker 4 (25:20):
So I go back inside.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
I gotta go to the f and kids game. So
I go back inside. Throw on some shorts, throw on
a shirt. You had shorts on. It's lake life.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
I had a swimsuit on.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Were a swimsuit for seven days?

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Yeah, when I'm not on the one when I'm went
there at the lake, it is a swimsuit time.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
I don't wear anything else. That's all I got, like campfire,
that's all I do. Dude, got the swimsuit on. And
when it's signed for like dry up time. I put
on some shorts and T shirt.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Usually not even a shirt, usually walking around shirtless.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
And I'm like, so I come out and my Dad's
like sorry, and I'm like, I just think this was
a bad idea from the beginning. I said go in
to the kids and inviting them before asking us. And
I'm frustrated because I just got done driving twelve and
a half hours. The last thing I want to do
is drive because now it's moved into Austin instead of Maner,

(26:12):
so it's only an hour and twenty minutes of the
game set an hour and forty five. I don't want
to drive an hour and twenty minutes and an hour
and twenty minutes back. I'm exhausted, but I'm gonna do it,
so the whole ride. So then we I don't even
know where the game is. So I pull out and
I go to the end of the street and wait, and
here comes Toolbox. He goes past me, takes a rite

(26:32):
and by the time I get to the stop sign
and he is gone.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
I don't see him again.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
You don't think it's at RFK Stadium, do you?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Remro no dk R. Yeah no, but it's not a
dishfalk either. And he is going so fast that I
don't even see him. I'm like, hey, man, like, I'm
following you.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
He knows these roads, it's his hood.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
But he knows that I don't know where we're going.
But he's going ninety in a thirty and I never
see him. Yeah, that's my father in law. He drives
one hundred.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
My mom calls me and I'm thinking, oh, she's called
me to say, hey, you know, we're waiting for you
up here. And she goes, is my purse in your car?
I'm like yeah, she goes, okay, bye, no help a
car full of kids? Okay. So I gotta call my brothers, say, hey,
can you text me the address?

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Dad has left me in the dust. What about the wives?

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Were they?

Speaker 2 (27:24):
My wife stayed home, smart, My sister stayed at the lake.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Smart.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
My brother's wife has not made it to the lake
yet because she's working all week.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Ah. Convenient, Yeah, very convenient. Ah. I just happened to
have some big stuff going on this week, and north
of July a lot of sales go down. You know,
I'm saying, I don't know if I can be there
with all them kids, you know what I'm saying. All
of a sudden, some work came on their schedule, some
big old meetings came up, if you know what I mean. Dude,
if I heard about six dogs and twelve kids and

(27:55):
driving to baseball games and worm guts, I would have
immediately volunteered to handle the Bobby Bone show stuff.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah. So I get the address and I drive and
we get there. But luckily I found the game on
the iHeartRadio app. Didn't realize that. I called my wife
and I said, hey, hey, you gotta find the game
for me, so some way I can listen to it.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Good plug, I'm gonna clip that.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
And I mean within thirty seconds into the ride, every
kid is asleep.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
On the way there, back way there, they are passed out.
Turn around.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
They have had two and a half days of absolute
chaos and swimming and excitement and just pure joy. So
my three boys and my niece are in the car
with me. Their heads are hung like they are not back.
They are all drooped forward like dead people.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
As you're driving to this stupid baseball game.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
As I'm so frustrated that I'm driving to this game,
I'm just like, oh my god, I could not believe
I'm doing this. Fine whatever. So my wife calls me back, says, hey,
the iHeartRadio app has all the games. I boom hit
it and I get to hear the whole first half.
Hear the goal as we pull into the parking lot
at North Austin Optimist. Here we freaking go get out

(29:13):
of the car and where they we go to the
Someone goes, oh, by the way, the concession stand closes
at eight fifteen.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
It's eight o'clock.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
I'm like, well, my god, wait, the game hasn't really
been started yet. So the concession staying closes before the games. Yes,
probably should think that one through. So I got bottles
of water.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
For everyboddy and then they're like, we're hungry, and I'm like, whoa, sorry,
eat dirt. We ain't get anything else. We had dinner
at the house and we'll get a milkshake after the game.
And I'm frustrated. And this was the time that I
did something that I've never done, and it's all thanks
to Batter's Box. He came over and he goes, here, man,
you want to watch the game? He had it pulled

(29:51):
up on his phone. I wouldn't have no idea how
to do that.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
There's the YouTube bat Now, I wouldn't have known how
to do it YouTube TV.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
I would have just listened to it on the iHeartRadio app.
But no, he goes here and he really gave it
to my son because he trusted my son to learn
how to operate it more than me. He goes, this
is how you do it if you get clicked out,
and he showed him how to do it.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
So we sat there and the game ended up. The
baseball game was supposed start at eight. Yeah, what was
the score of that thing? It ended up not starting
until about eight twenty And any listeners come up to you. Well,
one guy was staring at me. It was a little weird,
and I don't know what was going on. And it
turned out he was the coach of my nephew's team.

(30:33):
And he did ask my brother. He goes, hey, man,
this base sound crazy, but is that lunchbox? And he
said yeah, asks my brother and he goes.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Man, I was looking at him, but I didn't want
to take a picture because I thought it'd be weird.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
What do he want an autograph or one?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
I don't know, And my brother didn't introduce me because
he said, I knew you were in a bad mood,
so I didn't introduce.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
It to him. A better though, And so I'm sitting
is your brother an assistant coach? It was that night,
because I guess the other coach wasn't there.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I was gonna say he played college baseball and he's
not involved at all. Man, these parents are really pitching
in nowadays. Good gosh, help the kids out.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
He was out there, he was coaching third. Okay, but
I mean you made it. Tell you didn't even want
to go to the game. Your brother is not even
a coach. He was a college baseball player, for God's sakes.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
It's not that I didn't want to go to the game.
It was the driving was the problem.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
I just didn't want to drive that far. I was
already exhausted. And so my nephew gets up in the
first inning, he bats.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Third for his team. What the Bryce Harper got a
base hit, and then he pitched a great inning, two strikeouts.
Then they pulled him. Smart they pulled him after one inning,
rest his arm. I'm like, coaches, suck, you guys, suck
put him back in. Who is that lunchbox.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
And then I've never seen I'm been to a kid
pitch baseball game in a long time.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Short top.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Walk, oh, walk right, some of them. Austin Mills walk walk.
I mean, I don't know if the other team got
a hit all night and they won the game.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
It's just a lot of bad pitching. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
So when they pulled my nephew, I don't know what happened,
but he was still playing first base, so I thought
they could have brought him back in, but they ended
up losing by one run. He did hit a home
run inside the park. It's really a triple, but an
air over throw home plate and he ran home and

(32:41):
so it was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
And were the kids watching or they're dicking around a
little both when he was pitching. I mean, there's no
way every kid's fishing, and no way every kid is
just politely watching the game. They don't give a crap.
They're running all over the place. Basically, your dad took
him there as a distraction so that he didn't have

(33:02):
to watch him.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
And they watched why he pitched.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Then when the soccer game was over, baby Box joined
them in the running around and being crazy. And there's
something like building, and they kept opening the doors to
the rooms and stuff like that, going upstairs, and then
an hour and a half drive back and.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Yeah, ain't what times you get home at midnight? Twelve
to ten?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
All right, I'm on your side. Horrible idea tool box
there starving. What a nightmare. And you're gonna leave me.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
In the dust to get dad. I'll see you back
at camp. And we did.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Whenever he'd come to bat, they would come and watch
him bat, and then they'd go run around again.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
There's no way kids are entertained by that, no way.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
And then they I mean, maybe it's a member orry
they'll have forever. But it did or my nephew, it
made his night and his week. So that's exact. Everybody
came yes, okay, which is great. And it was great
because I got to see the game. I got to
see him play. And then we took a cousin picture
on the field, all them around, you know, my nephew.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
And then we gotta go. We gotta go. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Everybody to the bathroom. Order the bathroom. And I told
my dasks, like Dad, we got to stay together. We
can't be leaving each other. Let's stop at the dairy Queen.
It closes at midnight.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
I mean, that's a good square meal. So let's just
get a milkshake and let's get on the road. So
get everybody.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Milkshakes, and we hit the open road. Man, And let
me tell you my perspective changed.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Ray A girl drove by in a Corvette top down
because I had baby Box, baby Box two, baby Box three,
my niece and my nephew, the one that played baseball,
and my sister's daughter all in the car, all speak
in the same language.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
And our team just won, and I said America.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
And the way home, we had some of the greatest conversations. Wow,
baby Box, baby Box two. My niece and nephew stayed
up the entire time and we talked about places they
want to visit.

Speaker 4 (35:19):
Rey life, liberty, in the Pursuit of Happy. But it
started with this.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
We pull out a dairy Queen and I'm putting on
music just so there's some noise because I know they're
gonna fall asleep, and my nephew goes, hey, man, we
should probably turn down the music so we can have
like a conversation.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
They're telling you how to parrot.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
I'm like, all right, man, what do you want to
talk about? He goes, well, I guess first thing we
should talk about is how good I am at baseball.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Funny, He goes, you guys go ahead and talk about it.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Yeah, you're a bug reader.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I mean his first topic is, hey, you guys, tell
me how good I am at baseball.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
It was a milkshake high.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Hilarious.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Those are some of the best combos road tripping in
a car.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
It is man, and I gotta say like, I was exhausted,
but it was so cool to hear them talk about
their dreams, like the weirdest dreams they've ever had, like
things they never told about. You all want me to
be real. So there were three chicks all right, like,
baby Box, did you tell yours?

Speaker 4 (36:27):
No, it was just them. I just listened, So.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Me three chicks the bunny ridge y.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
All ready for this, baby Box. His weirdest dream is
he is walking through life and he can't see, like
his eyes don't work. All of a sudden, he can't
open them, and he said so, and then he goes
And then when I try to force them open with
my hands, that's when I wake up. And I was like,
he's never talked about that. And baby Box two. The

(36:57):
two places he wants to visit Hawaii. Make know Hawaii
and a cave and outer space. He goes, oh my gosh,
he goes, I.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Always see a rocket ship and I think I want
to go to outer space.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
How did you have a straight phase through this conversation?

Speaker 2 (37:14):
It was like it was it was crazy to hear
them talk about things I'm not.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Even hearing you guys, just open your minds. Well, let
him know a spoiler alert, you're not taking him to Hawaii.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
I know your dad. They're at a chance in Hawaii.
They're going to Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
They got a better chance of going to outer space
as a school field.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Trip than they do going to Hawaii with their dad.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
And then we get back to the house, it's like
twelve ten and I might and they're like, wait, it's
a new day. We can go fishing because it's Thursday now, Grandpa,
let's go fishing.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
He got there forty five minutes earlier, speeding, and he goes, no,
we're going to bed.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
He was done. He was done.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Am I bass maaster?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
And my brother does require his son to take a
shower every night. And we got back at twelve to ten,
and he goes, is there time to take a shower,
And I said, no, dude, go to bed.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Here's a here's a paper towel. I went, just go
to bed, man, go to bed. And that was the
end of our Wednesday night. USA won two nothing, got
a ridiculous red car to nil to nil, and my
nephew lost.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
But he played a great game, got three hits and
he pitched a scoreless inning and two strikeouts. We had
milkshakes from dairy queen. I had strawberry. My niece she
had peanut butter. My son baby box one had banana,
My nephew batter's box and son had strawberry. And then

(38:48):
my other two kids they had pineapple. If you guys
were wondering, we'll take a break and we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
All right, let's wrap it.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
We're back.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
You were in the vehicle heading home. Nah, I think
we were just there. Man. We Uh, anything else dramatic
happened over the week, Yeah, I do remember. It was
already dramatic enough. The kid's game and uh yeah, fish
and whoa, but we played some badminton, We played tried
to play volleyball.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Kids a little too young to play volleyball. They a
lot of them couldn't hit it, couldn't get it over
the net.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Bad? How bad was badminton with your dad's ankles and
batter's box's vision.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Uh, I will say that, Uh, it was a disaster
in the beginning. Kids with rackets probably a bad idea.
Baby Box three took one to the eye.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Tried playing with baser one time.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
That net sat in the garage for the last year,
and I'll say badminton was not my strong point. There
was a couple I was trying to be show off,
harder than you think, a lot harder.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
You think, and you you, oh, there it is, and
so you do something fancy like I did a skip
and then the badminton was gone.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
I totally whiffed it. Invisible bad in the racket part
of it, and the bad men itself is white and
invisible in sunlight.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
And it flutters and it's like, oh, there it is,
and you go to hit it and it's like, well
that's not the way it's supposed to fall. You used to,
you know, a tennis ball or something. It's like whoops.
So yeah, it was pretty bad. And we did some'mores
for a second night on fourth of July after popping
some fireworks.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
Do you guys buy some locally?

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Bought some locally, keep it local.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
Went to the stand.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
It's illegal there to do it. No, not really. It
was had to drive outside of town to get them.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
How's it go in Jose?

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Also is great because chest Day pulled up. He pulled up,
he'd about to pull up. He pulled up to the lake.
Why would he come say hello, hang out?

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Got in the water to the guppies, to me, uh,
to Batter's box, a friend of the family, friend of
the family. He got in the water this year, and.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
We'll say he was trying to keep his head above water.
In baby Box two is like, we got to get
that hair wet and went over there and just started
splashing him.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
What do you do he come with a twenty four.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Pack or what. No. No, he was recovering from the
night before. He's in recovery. No, he went to a
pool party. He went to one of those rent of pools.
Tell me more so.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
His buddy on Friday rented a pool from one to
seven pm someone's backyard, okay, and they had a party.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
So he had a pool party from one to seven
His buddy rented the pool and said, Hey, I'm having
a party at these people's house. Come on, and so
chess Day pulled up, partied out for six hours, and
so he was chilling on that day, just kind of recovering.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
The homeowner. Chest Day walks in, Hi, I'm here for
a pool party. Hi, I'm the homeowner, but they're renting
my pool. Just come on in, take your shoes off.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
Go around the gate. Please don't walk through the house.
But yeah, he is.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
So he rolled up and doing the pool instead of
the bedrooms.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
Cousin Andrew came out, brought his newborn who is like
four or five months old.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
I'm trying to think four mos. Five months old.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
He about to pull up.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
He brought him out in the water. Cousin Jessica showed
up with her kids. Dude, what did you rent an
Airbnb mansion?

Speaker 1 (42:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (42:20):
No, no, they didn't spend the night. They all just
came by for the day and it was amazing. It
was so good, so good.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
I can tell. And I think our listeners can two
truck drivers right now alone in their truck. And you
just named twenty people, twenty kids, and twenty dogs. Man,
a lot of love there though. Yeah, played a couple
of games of Roco. We didn't play as many games
as the racco Yeah, racco can only chicks play. No
dudes can play too. And that was the problem is

(42:52):
who won? Were I didn't win once? No, my wife
didn't win. It was we were so tired of night
that we didn't play games like we usually do. We
usually play games at night once the kids, once the
kids go to bed, oh like strip poker.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
But they were staying up so freaking late that they
would get to bed at eleven and we'd all look
at each other.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
We're like, I'm going to bed, I'm going to bed,
I'm going to bed. I'm going to bed. Yeah, once
that first person says they're going to bed. As done though.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
And it was really cool because on Friday I kept
checking my email because this guy named Sisin and Boomer
said they were going to do a podcast for our
listeners since Boomer was in town all week and they
were gonna be at the studio and they were going
to do a podcast. So I wake up Friday morning
before I go out fishing, I'm like, let me check
my email. Nope, all right, cool, get done fishing and

(43:41):
we have breakfast and I check my email.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
Nothing, okay, cool, Friday full Wi Fi there.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Yeah, hot spot on the phone. And then Friday.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
Afternoon I checked the email. No nothing there. So I
hit up the guys Sisson. I'm like, hey, man, you
and Boomer you done that pod yet? Uh? We didn't.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
We only recorded two last week. So I was just
he said you were gonna do one, and he was like.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Oh no, we never got around to it.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Man, sorry about that.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
I have a good Fourth of July weekend.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
I'm like, all right, coo, I just want to check
because I want to quit checking my email like a
freaking psycho rabbit fan. I'm expecting an email from a boss.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Over under on times you check your email one and
a half.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
I'll take the under. I don't bet anymore, but I
will lock in that under. So yeah, four pm, I'm
gonna check my email once and so, yeah, there was
no pod from Boomer and Scissons.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
He didn't want to do it.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
He Boomer didn't want to do a pod.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
Not really. I gave him the option. Here the hell,
here was the option go to the radio station. For
an hour and a half. We just dick around.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
He was already here on Wednesday for the USA game,
he had to watch USA in Spanish.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
We're here all week.

Speaker 4 (44:53):
I was guys, watch the game here at the station.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Bro, I was working all week. I worked the game,
was at night, built the next day show at night.
So I built the show on Wednesday night, made him
watch USA soccer, and so on Friday, when he was
flying out, I gave him the option, do you want
to go to the radio station for an hour and
a half the way we can beat traffic, beat the rain,
and we post up do a podcast. Maybe there's some

(45:17):
sales ladies in here. He can go check them out.
I said, you want to do that? Or do you
want to go sit in an airport for three hours?
And he chose go sit in at an airport for
three hours?

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Wow, that's how fun our job is, dude. Man, we
got a dream job here, baby.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Wow it want to do no damn podcast.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
That's amazing, man, Thanks Boomer, Thanks thanks a lot, man.
And but then, hey, don't worry, I took the travel
equipment and I'll tell you all about the Box Family
pod right after this. Dude, So, I mean, you only
have a few rooms, so I gotta put the couch
bed back together, kind of fold it up, just push
the bunk beds against the window. And we found out

(46:01):
that the kids had broken a window in that room.
They were up on the bunk bed and they were
sliding down the backside and someone's rear in went out
the window.

Speaker 4 (46:10):
And did they come and tell an adult?

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Nah?

Speaker 4 (46:12):
We didn't find out.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Untill a day later because they were trying to keep
it hidden. Yeah, And we were like, what happened? And
my sister's kids were like, oh, it's definitely one of
the box boys.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Smart, I'm like, what do you mean? He goes they
were the only ones that.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
Got up there.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
No one else got up there, So he was protecting
his brother and his sister was not going to put
them under the bus. He's straight up blaming my kids
right away.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Smart. And I was like, so you saw them do that?

Speaker 2 (46:35):
And he's like no, no, no, but but but they
were up on that bed and I was like, and
so no one else got up on that bed.

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Well yeah, but we we only.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Laid on the bed checked the trail cam and I'm like, okay,
but anyway, so we get the pod cast equipment out
and I went and I went to best Buy a
Walmart before I left and got two SIM cards or
SD cards whatever I needed, because I wanted to make
sure I had enough.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
If one didn't work, the other one's gonna work. We
are good to go. Got the equipment, got the mics,
got the cables, got it all set up, put a
little TV tray right in the middle of the room,
got three chairs, plugged in the mics, and I was like, boys,
podcast room is ready. Podcast room is ready, and Toolbox

(47:22):
finishes his cigarette.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
Alright, I'm ready to podcast.

Speaker 2 (47:28):
He comes in there and I'm like all right. They're like,
how do you not know how to stream TV on
your phone? But you can operate this. I was like,
this is easy, guys, this is easy. Sit down. I
put the card in and I'm like, all right. It
says do you want to format reformat your SD card
for this system? I said yes, SD I don't have

(47:49):
a small and I hit record and it says, do
you want to reformat your SD card for this system?

Speaker 4 (47:56):
I say yes, and I hit record.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
I don't have a small and it says do you
want to reformat your SD card? And I'm like, okay,
something's wrong. Let me let me open the other one.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Smart though, check it over state lines instead of in
your own city at the best Buy. Correct, You're right.
I should have done it there.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Put it in.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
Would you like to reform your SD card for the No,
I don't have a small and I say yes, And
then I say record, would you like to REFORMATD card
for this machine?

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (48:35):
Hit record?

Speaker 1 (48:36):
What about the other card? Try that one?

Speaker 4 (48:37):
This is the second card.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
So then I call, you know, the head of the network,
and I'm like, hey, what is going on?

Speaker 1 (48:45):
And she's like, oh, it should just turn green, you
know what I mean? Like, yeah, that's the right SD card.
I try the other one. Yeah, I don't know what's wrong. Sorry,
you could just run the best Buy. And I'm like, no, no,
we're out the middle of nowhere. There is no best Buy,
there is no Walm, there's no nothing out here lake
Life and she goes, yeah, I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
So we did about twelve minutes a podcast that you
will never hear. We sat there, they made fun of me, like,
what do you know? Lunchbox didn't know how to work
the equipment. Every time we tried to do a pod,
he screws it up. So the Box Family Pod did
not happen.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
What about the machine that you took out there? What
about the card that was already in it?

Speaker 4 (49:25):
On one provided?

Speaker 1 (49:27):
So then you bought to Willy Nilly not an audio producer,
went out and bought one at Where's Circuit City.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
Best buy Man, and I bought one at Walmart Ray,
I went to donald NAPA parts. I did two different
ones and neither one of them worked. So the pod
was over and before it even started. Uh, they had jokes,
I felt. I'm still pissed off. It ruined, kind of
ruined a couple hours of my day. The frustration.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
I bet you got a picture card, you probably didn't
get an audio one. I bet there's a difference. That's
not my we have expertise. I only know one board
in one building in all of this country. I don't
know about SD cards and if their picture video in
the size?

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Yeah, And so we walk out, They're like, what's going on?
They're all right, bunch doesn't know how to do it.
He screwed up again. The whole family is a joke.
And I'm so frustrated and annoyed because I was so
excited about doing a pod with the dad and the
brother it's just one of my It's like a tradition.
It feels good, it's a time to bond and it's
something that we'll have forever.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
But would you say you were an audio guy for
those two hours.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
I would have been how did it feel? Though?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
It didn't feel because it didn't work. It sucked though, right,
it didn't work. Yeah, that's my job.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
It didn't work.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
That's what I have to go to every day audio.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
So we just sucks, spend the rest of the day
swimming and fishing and doing whatever. And Sunday morning, we
woke up at six am and ray a guppy, sucked mine,
packed the vehicle and we did our hugs and kisses goodbye,
and we departed. Come on in here, dad, come in

(51:02):
for a second one. We did family photos on the
back patio, and then we we took on the Grizzly Bear. No,
we did all the grand kids with Grant and Grandpa.
Then we did all the all kids, brother and sister
and my mom and dad.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
You did this before a twelve hour drive home? Yeah,
I would have killed somebody.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
And then at seven twenty three, seven twenty three, we
rolled down the street, honking, waving all the other nieces
and nephews were chasing us down the street. We made
the turn around the bin and we headed home for
the twelve and a half hour drive, and we made
it in about thirteen hours and twenty minutes with two stops.

(51:49):
When they stopped two times. The kids were exhausted. They
slept a lot of the way. Would you do energy
drinks or caffeine?

Speaker 1 (51:56):
Du No caffeine.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
I drove the first three and a half half hours,
the wife drove for three and a half hours, and
then I drove the next five hours.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
I mean, you could have let the oldest one drive
in Arkansas.

Speaker 4 (52:08):
He could have. And it was great.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
Man.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
The road trip home, I thought it was gonna be
very like everybody's tired, frustrated, But the kids were great.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
They were sleeping.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
Baby Box two and I played a game where I
name a letter and he names a word that Ryan
starts with that letter. Baby Box one got in on
that game, but then he was like, oh, oh, he's
got grouchy, But then he fell asleep.

Speaker 1 (52:32):
That's why he's grouchy. Then we played what does it rhyme? With?

Speaker 2 (52:35):
I named a word and baby Box two came up
with a word that rhymed with it, truck.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Or I don't know, Dad the only one I can
think of it.

Speaker 2 (52:43):
And then he was like, Dad, just tell me a
word and then I'll say it after you. Because he's
learning how to read. He would sound it out, so
i'd be like train. He'd like ain' and then I
would be like railroad and he'd be like rough ale
r ode for how long hours? Then we did charades,
me and Baby Box two. We'd act things out. We'd

(53:04):
have to guess what animal we were. It's fantastic, It's fantastic.
And then we arrived back home and we pulled up
to the curb at eight forty pm Sunday night, and
I ran inside and watched the end of the Mexico
England game. Fantastic. The World Cup has been amazing. Cape
Verde taking Argentina to the freaking limits. All these games, Germany,

(53:27):
get out of here, Brazil, goodbye, unbelievable. If you're not watching,
I don't know what you're doing. And tonight us say us,
say right, Hey, have a great day, man, uncle be watching.

Speaker 1 (53:41):
I can't wait. You're gonna stay up, try and watch
the first half?

Speaker 4 (53:44):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
I don't think Balligan should be able to play this whole.
Thank you President Trump taking part taking away the red
card even though he didn't deserve a red card.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
It feels weird. It feels like everybody's gonna hate us.
Feels like we're cheating.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
You can't use slow motion replay in two places, the
bedroom or the soccer field. I agree, totally take it
away in slow motion. Looks a lot worse than it was.
The man was just making a play on the ball.
Thank you, President Donald Trump. Uh and so yes have
a great day. That is the Box family vacation. We
only had one injury. The catfish to the head was

(54:17):
the only real injury besides some bumps and scrapes. Baby
Box three taking a badminton racket to the head to
the left eye. Really but nothing major, nothing, no burns
with the s'mores.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
Nothing. It was great, dude, really weird.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
End it? Man? All right, you guys have a great bunday.
We're out and I will be taking a nap today.
Hey man, here, I got you jar pickles. An I
learned my lest last time. Ray not funny man, not funny. Hey,
I stayed.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
We did get jar pickles at the store and all
the nieces and nephews.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
Like, whoa well thought we were allowed out pickles in here.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
But yeah, what a week, man, what a week.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
I can't wait. Did you a boomer do anything? We're
at the radio stage.

Speaker 4 (54:59):
You'll find out when day. Man, I ain't got time
talking about it. We're out. We gotta go, gotta go.
Great pod. I hope they like this one.
