Speaker 1 (00:01):
Oh, that's back one hundred and forty seven days away
from the twenty and twenty seven home of the Super Bowl.
In twenty thirty, it's the twenty twenty seven Sore Losers Convention,
presented by Freeland Chevroley.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Dude, let me tell you Sean Morse, mister bush Light, Yes,
he'll be there.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
How do you know, Laurie, she'll be there. Thought it
was all anonymous.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Miguel and his amazing wife, they will be there.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Ray, I see the receipts.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I do see the receipts.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
That is phenomenal, and it also tells why we should
get the tickets on early. People like planning. You like
to prepare for something. Me and my wife when we
did Jamaica, I think we started around this time. And
guess what Jamaica was around Christmas? The conventions right after Christmas.
People like six months three months before a trip, not

(01:02):
a month.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Also, early bird pricing through July, so if you buy
it now, it's cheaper than if you wait. You can
start your payment plans. Oh my goodness, Sorelosers dot Com.
This is gonna be the sixth year since I rubbed
my left armpit and had this idea where we should
get the losers together, and the losers have not disappointed

(01:23):
any year.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I told the boys of Freeland Chevrolet, I got to
get to posting because I believe right now in the
whole phase of it is. I took my car in,
so I still need you took a video of me
in that one rental day.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Oh my gosh, why am I not posting that.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Dude, I'm about a month behind in the timeline.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Can I just tell you I forgot all about that
video and I need it. I will post it. I
will send it to you today. That's my apologies, man,
My apologies, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Then me and Richard were there, Yeah, yeah, just yesterday.
So this is actually real time and I got my
car back, okay, And this is also caught up on
the Bobby Bone Show Real Life Sore Losers. It's all
caught up right now.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
And if you guys don't know, we are a spin
off of that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
And yes, so everything right now is all in line.
And there was a whole new demographic. There's college rockets, there,
there was birds from Middle Why, I said Richard, when
you do business with the sore losers, that's the demo
that comes to your business. I'm not even kidding. Blondie
on her laptop outside doing her business where He's like,

(02:32):
this is totally different type of people that come here,
because usually it's like if you go to a dealership,
it's older people, older people. And I was like, hey,
do business with the sore losers.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We'll bring We'll bring you the college crowd. Man, you
want a frat party in here, we are your people.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I was like, die laughing because it really did look
like it was us.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
If you want homeless people in here, we'll bring you. Callaway.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
He's like, let me go ask her. No, no, no, no,
need to do that. She probably heard about it somewhere
on a podcasts.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Who that's not that seems ridiculous?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Name drop the pod? Oh man crickets?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
What no? Yeah, hey, Arnold, what do you think I'm coming.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
To the convention. I'll buy my tickets last second, I'm
doing the pay system.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Nice. Have you been to Freeland Showrolay to check out
the bad bunnies?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Well, I went there to get my bike serviced.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You ride a bike, yep.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
They were able to fill up the tire and then
put a little lube on the chains.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
And we know you like lube.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Need it just a little bit of grease in my gears?
All right, We're gonna do it live. We are the
one two three sore losers.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
What up, everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most
about sports, so I'll give you the sports facts, my
sports opinions, because I'm pretty much a sport genius, y'all.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
It'd Sison from the North, Alpha male, live in the
country with Baser two point three acres, married, two kids
at Vanderbilt. They're still in the egg phase, not yet
an embryo, and Justin supposed to be checking on him.
He's also living in Michigan as a traveling r inn.
I do believe travels more to gun Lake into the

(04:23):
Casino than anywhere else. But I believe he's doing fine
and well and great and dandy. His dog's still dead
and buried in our yard. Coach over to you.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, I still haven't heard him from him since the
USA lost. He sent me that one message and that
was it. But I am proud to announce whoa. I
am proud to announce divorce. No swim season has concluded.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Well tail, no, no, no, not swim season. Like I'm
talking swim team season has finished and I got to
go to my first meet, my first and only meat
was the city wide meet.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
With the Michael Phelps. What ray I got a Ryan
Lochtey in the fan. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
The reason we did it is that way in the mornings,
they don't just sit around and do nothing, and it
kind of how do I say, it gets my wife
moving in the morning and gets the kids moving instead
of just sitting there watching TV all day.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's that early.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Uh yeah, they have to be there seven thirty am
for practice. That's a commitment during the summer every day.
I just don't think we had that in our town.
Otherwise my dad would have made us do that. Yeah,
I know we did it at the pool and I
remember they tried to put me in backstroke and I
hit that wall about two strokes in. I was like,
I'm this isn't for me.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Oh so it's just swim lessons. No, No, it's swim team. Okay,
So yeah, we did try to do the swim lessons. Dude,
I still can't swim great to this day. Gave up
on those. Probably should have learned early in life. You
don't give up on things because I'm a horrible swimmer.
But the swim team type stuff, we didn't have that
my town.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I am definitely not a very strong swimmer. So I
would love to look into adult swim lessons.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
You really aren't, No, you're a runner.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
What does that have to do with swimming?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Just seems like endurance and that. I mean, it's not
that I don't have endurance.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
I don't know how to do the like the were
you you only breathe every third or four stroke, and
like which way you're supposed to turn your head and
which way you're supposed to turn your hands, and man,
I'm just slapping water.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Lat I tell you what. When Michael Phelps was in
the Olympics, I went, I got off of telecommunications every
night at ten pm and I would go to the
apartment pool and practice underwater swimming and doing that spin
that he did underwater.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Man, kids can do that, dude.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
It ended up just being me chewing in the pool,
watching chicks in the weight room working out like see,
and I'm like, this isn't productive. I have this. I mean,
you got the security guard comes out, you got your
pants down.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I have this thought that I'm gonna become a swimmer,
and that way I can improve my swimming. And it
proved it at the lake when the football was floating
away and I was like, I'll just get that real quick.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
That's why it floated away.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Oh no, no, it wasn't just my swimming. It was
going one hundred miles an hour. It would have taken
Michael Phelps to get it. But I realized, Man, I
am not a good swimmer. I just really am not
off for your family. It's like when we go to
the pool and the one that the four year old
who's just barely kind of knows how to swim now
that he was on swim team, he wants to go

(07:26):
diving board and wants me to catch him. I have
to have a noodle because I can't catch him and
swim to the side.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah. The noodles also just I mean, it's practical. It's
trying to be hero out there.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I understand, but I'm saying like.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Like, if I'm out there, it's like you have a drink, Hey,
just jump to the noodle, kid. I'm not gonna doggy
paddle for the next five minutes to prove to the
moms that I, you know, like used to be jacked, Like,
what are you trying to prove out there?

Speaker 2 (07:53):
I will say the noodles do? They are amazing?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Oh yeah, it's a I'm telling you just by putting
a floatation device in our dog and the water carrying
you eases all your stress and you're immediately relaxed. Just
that three inches of water is what it seems like.
Once the the inflatable device is into the water, you're
maybe that much on the water and that makes all

(08:16):
the difference.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Except if you go in the shallow end, then you
just get attacked by kids. You need to stay out
of the shallow end with that noodle Because you go
in the shallow end, it is.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Like, oh my gosh, ruh.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
And I mean random kids you don't even know start
climbing on you, shooting you with water guns. It's like
what am I doing?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
And if you guys do a beach summer vacation, not
this time, but I mean, if you do it just
a vacation, that's beachy. Maybe the kids. I know you're
not you're a lake guy, but you're not a beachy guy, dude.
With those waves, there's different waves. Well you said the
waves in the lake were waving. They were a white
cap and dude, tell you the double overhead in Florida.

(08:55):
Now that's what it was at the lake on that
one day. As a dad, you need to be better prepared. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
So anyway, I went to the swim meet and I
found out I am not a swim parent. I do
not understand this. It is pure chaos and it is
very overwhelming attractive demo.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
I was some some I would imagine that because doesn't
it cost money.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Yeah, you do pay to do swim team.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
But it's like, like, you're not gonna get people in
there that are morbidly obese that are then motivated to
get their kids into swimming. There's no way. There was
no way somebody's in there eating a McDonald's egg McMuffin
while sucking down a MAKA. There's no way.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
There was a few, but it was interesting because Friday
night was the six and under group, so that was
Baby Box two and Baby Box three and it wasn't
that crowded. It was great. We were able to get
a seat. We're hanging out and it was so funny
to watch because they do start professionally. Yeah on that

(09:59):
look board thing whatever you I don't even know what
you call it. Yeah, podium, podium, and they would do
and they do all these me be there's a lot
of whistles and buzzers and it's very confusing. I'd have
jumped in after one buzzer, But the kids obviously know
what they're doing. And the girls, if you watch the
girls do it, they dive in off that thing amazingly.

(10:22):
The boys they all line up like they're gonna dive
in amazing and then they just jumped.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
So the girls start off better because guys end up
being quicker on.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
The girls start off better, they dive better, they do
everything better, where the boys are just like freaking weight.
They just put their hands up like they're gonna dive.
Then they jump in the air and they go straight
to the bottom of the pool.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Watch out for USA in Summer Olympics in twenty forty five. Wow.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
But I was super impressed with how young some of
these kids were and how good a swimmers they were.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Oh, that means parents got a pool in the backyard.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Probably, and I feel like some of these kids have
to swim year, have.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
To Well, then that's what I mean. Pool in the backyard.
Some of those are heated.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
It was unbelievable. So then Saturday, I'm like, all right,
another day of this.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I can do it.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
And my baby box one had to be there at
his team tint. They had a big old tint set
up outside on a like a field, like not near
the pool where you meet your coaches one sidebar.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Isn't it hot in those swim meets hotter in hell?
That's what I'm saying. It's like miserable.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
It wasn't comfortable.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Because I had an ex in high school and there
was occasions where I would go into the swim room.
I'm like, how do you practice it? We would go
in there as wrestlers to lose weight, Yeah, because it
was so hard to breathe in there.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yeah. And this was at a a private school.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I assumed, Coach, what did you think it was at beach? Well?

Speaker 2 (11:51):
I thought it was going to be like at another pool, like.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Coach, I didn't think it was at Hillsboro, Like.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Can I just tell you? I just thought it was
going to be at another pool, like, oh, where are
you staying around the pool and you watch this was?
I mean, I've never it is nicer than my college
campus like UCLA. It was like UCLA, dude, and I
was just like, what are we doing? But anyway, so
you put him at the team tent at seven forty
five in the morning, right.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Which I didn't think it was Nashville Central.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
And so we drop mom, oh man, good luck, dude.
I'm so happy. I'm I'm so excited. See you swim.
Give him some kisses. He's like, all right, Dad, all right, dad,
he's are you gonna be in the exact same splot
you wore last night. I was like, I'll try to be.
He goes, I'll look for you. I'll look for you.
Signs now there. I didn't have a sign, but they

(12:39):
had team signs in the tent that all the kids had,
you know, colored and like marked up, and you know, so.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
It's associated with the school.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
No, no, no, no, their swim team. They have team names. Okay,
Like there was.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
The it's not associated with the school, right, And then
what'd you say was outside that you were doing?

Speaker 2 (12:59):
This is where the team tent was. They had a
big old white tent set up in the middle of
the football field of this school. So that's where the
kids could meet their coaches. You drop them off there,
and that was their meeting point. After a race, they'd
go back there, hang out for a while, and then
go back for their race. So seven fifty five, I
look at this other dad and I'm like, hey, man,

(13:19):
should you want to go in to get seats? And
he's like, yeah, let's go. And we go in there
and it is seven fifty five.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Parents for sure got mimosas and coffees with Baileys in
them in those mugs.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
And there wasn't a dang seat to be had in
that place. Wow, it was app solutely jam packed to
the gills.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Okay, so say, at what we're familiar with at a
kid's middle school, elementary's school basketball place, is it.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Like that seating or is there more or lesser about
the same? I would say a little bit less, But
I mean I'm talking. People were standing along. I found
stom only and I had to stand for five freaking hours.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Hey are you lunchbox?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Watching swimming? And here's the funny part. During swimming, people
are screaming, yelling.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Go Jack, Go Jack, Come on Jack, Come on Jack.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Guess what. There ain't no damn way he can hear you.
He's in the water.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah he's not got sonar and people are.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Going crazy, and I'm like, the dude, can't hear you?
Your kids cannot hear you in the water like it
was so and one. I mean there were kids in
speedos that were trying to shave time off their their
their their prs with their smaller swimsuits. It was bananas.
How many people were there, how crazy it was, and

(14:45):
how these parents were yelling and screaming, and it was
so hot. And I stood there for five hours and
you have people come up and tapping you on the shoulder,
Hey man, can I get up on the bar? My
kids in this race? And you got to decide are
they gonna give you your spot back or not? Are
you gonna let them up by the bar or not? Dude?
It was but bananas.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
And it was just you or your wife too.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
My wife was there. The two brothers were there, and
they were not happy.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I was gonna say they chilled for five hours without brecky. Well,
they had breakfast. They was, uh, they had brecky.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
They had bagels for sale out front.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Smart. Uh.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
But here's the problem. The kids. The brothers couldn't see
because we're standing room only. We're in the back. Dude.
They can't even see, and they're getting pissed. I want
to see I can't see that. And I'm like, oh man,
this is gonna be a long five hours. And so
baby Box he does his first race and then a
second race. He still got two more and we're the

(15:42):
like the next to last race of the whole event.
So we got like two hours, two and a half
hours left.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
You can leave.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Then where are we gonna go?

Speaker 1 (15:49):
I don't know, but parents did that. With track, you
were able to leave, and especially with cell phones now
there wasn't even cell phones in high school and parents
were still able to figure out the time.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
It was crazy. It was like a freaking factory.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
The way they wrestling bro All the sports I played
was where you leave and come back. Wrestling, track got it,
Baseball tournament, I guess. But I'm saying that you you
could have pretty much time. You probably could have done
some errands. Probably. I mean, I'm just like, five hours

(16:24):
of your day you just sat in a water.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh dude, so hot, And I'm just like, I didn't sit.
I stood the whole time. And there's people, this is
what's crazy, People that have been doing this for a
long time. They brought their lawn chairs. Yeah, yeah, it's
it's like a wrestling me. It's and they put them
up against the back wall and sit there and then
when it's their kids turn, they get up and watch
and then they go sit back down.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah. What's the craziest thing I have ever seen. You
pretty much post up like it's a Starbucks. Yeah, and
that's how you're doing it. That's exactly what people were doing.
But you could bring your own lawn chairs. Yes, why not?
Why do you not do that? I've never been to
a swim meet before. I didn't know how all this worked.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
I thought I was just gonna have a seat in
the bleachers and I was gonna sit there and it
was gonna be fine. I didn't know it was gonna
be packed to the gills at seven fifty five am
and there wasn't gonna be a spot in that place.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
It's like one of those things you can never predict anything.
You think your place is not gonna be packed, and
then it's packed. Your case restaurant, Oh we gotta get there,
We gotta get there. Me and dude, me and bazer I.
I just thought of it a dinner spot or was it?
Did we go for brunch, dinner, brunch, dinner, brunch, dinner, brunch.
We went for brunch ten am. Baser. We got to

(17:43):
be there at ten am. It's their first ever brunch.
They're offering brunch. They've never done it before. Got to
get there at ten am. I made reservation, so we're
all good, We're cleared. We showed up at a ten am.
There was a one more damn person there. She goes,
we have two reservations, and the lady goes, oh, let
me look here. There was not one person in the
restaurant and she's looking for a reservation. She goes, actually,
I mean you're fine. I really don't even need to
look up the reservation. I'll show you. And they had

(18:04):
our table with our menus and our waters, the only
table set up in the entire place at ten am
for a brunch that we thought was gonna be sold out.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
It's like Mother's day.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
I was like, hey, we gotta hurry, we gotta go,
We got we gotta get to the restaurant.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
At this point, Guys, it's embarrassing. You don't need to
look at the reservation. There's nobody else in here.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
We need Guys. It's gonna be if we don't know,
it is gonna be so busy. It's Mother's Day, like
and we go in, Oh yeah, come right in. Oh
all right. I guess we're here early enough that we
beat the crowd. And that's that's what it is. It's
like we went at like eight thirty or nine on
Mother's Day. That's early Sore Losers Convention.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
You assume. I'm like, you know, we'll probably shake a
couple of hands. I walked into John Daly's that first night,
and I mean there's people hanging off the rafters. They've
been plowed since ten am.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I mean ran in and his chick just got engaged,
stealing all the attention from everybody, like we hey, don't
any worry about raining lunchbox. They don't exist like the
sore losers. Who cares? The story is all about you guys.
I wonder if they got married yet.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Baser hammered, Muffy flying all over the place. I'm like, uh,
what did I just walk into a frat party?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Oh Travis being stretchered out of there. I mean, wow,
I was whoo. Welcome to Sore Losers Convention. New po Yeah,
beer pong.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Some kids like I'm protecting state. I'll play you two
minutes later me and oh that was robust and four
A I don't know. I whooped some kids ass and
the best I've ever played beer pong in like two minutes.
We clean them.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Well, I hate to tell you, brother Pitts talks about
your beer pong. He's like, I'm telling you something, man,
that dude should go to the world championship. She goes,
I've never seen a guy not miss a ball.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
But it was court.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
He said, you're that good.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
But he doesn't. I've been playing. That's like you're going
to play Jordan at the United Center. Pitts was playing
me at home court advantage. I've played on that table.
I know the exact dimensions. Yeah, and I did cook.
I mean I caught fire.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Yeah. Anyway, back to the swim meeting, dude, uh like
some of these things. The races had like fourteen heats.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
That's what I'm saying. It was so long, bro. I
had an ex girlfriend. There was a swimmer. I was
always thinking that she was banging the dude, but he
was gay. That was before Bay, right, Yeah, in high school,
and I was like, who's this John guy? And she's
like he's gay, and I'm like, I'll never ask about
John anymore.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
See I man, swim meet not my cup of tea.
I'm gonna tell you that right now. We'll take a break.
We'll be right back now.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
We got an email. Hit it coachers.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
I heard the announcement of the new twenty twenty six
Sore Losers Fantasy football season starting up this month. As
the reigning champion of the twenty twenty five Sore Losers
Fantasy Football League, I hereby accept the automatic bid for
this season, and hereby accept the year's long tradition of
the prior seasons champions entitlement leading my own division. I

(20:55):
therefore introduced to you the fourth division for the new
fantasy football season, the Bega's Bitches Division. I am hoping
the President does not call it on the Big Show
to have them revers this time on her tradition. Let
me know when the league is live, and I will
send over this year's entry fee. Thank you, Signed Steven Primetime.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Bega had a hell of a year.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
He did have a hell of a year, made a
great run in the playoffs, and we will have all
that information up for the fantasy league very shortly. In
the next week or two. I'm telling you, I'm not
leaving it till the last minute like I have in
years past. We are gonna be on top of things.
We're not gonna be rushing it, and we're gonna be
ready to go. So the champ is in primetime. Bega

(21:43):
is still listening to the pod, and I can't believe.
I don't know what he's done off the off season,
probably been celebrating all that money he won. But yes,
it will be up very soon.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
It be a stop yelling.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Are you and justin going to co manage this year?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I need to talk to him about it. Him being
Michigan time zone difference, and he was difficult to work with.
There was a lot of back and forth.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Hey check the roster.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
I just made some updates what I set the roster
at ten am? Hey man, I made some updates without
asking you just go ahead and look at it. So
there was a lot of that. There was a lot
of finger pointing, who is the person responsible for a
bad pick, bad trade wire pick? So there was a
lot of that. And it wasn't a head coach and
an assistant coach. It was I mean, we were essentially

(22:32):
two head coaches.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
That's tough.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
So I mean, how many how many disagreements do you
get in at home?

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Quite a few, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
So it was a lot of that. I was like,
there was a lot of it. Was was it more
is what I got asked myself? Was it more arguing
than fun? That's what I have to ask myself before
I decide if I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Yeah. I look at it as like my cousin and
I we fantasy football baseball together. Cousin Andrew and I,
And you want to know how many disagreements we have
in fantasy baseball?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Uh? You said he sets the roster.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
We have zero? Because he does everything. I check it
every day. I look at it. I'm like, oh, he
picked up that guy. Let me see who that guy is.
I've never heard of him. Oh cool Art, he's been hot.
Let's see if he gets a hit today.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Oh madgall for the Tiger.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I don't make any moves whatsoever on the roster. I
would be too nervous because he's so dialed in. Like
I would always text him be like, hey man, I've
been looking at this guy. He's like, well, his strikeout
rate is this, and I'm like, oh, you're right, Yeah,
we don't need him. Yeah, I was just I was
just throwing out ideas, man, trying to act like I'm interested.
Now your league is that elite, they're pretty into it,

(23:41):
and also that you probably shouldn't even be on the
team with him if he's that much more into it.
It's not that he's like when me and justin every
decision bro was we went to blows every Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
I'm telling you, this is the trade that will change
our team. He's all drunk trying to pick up an
Ohio State guy. Yeah, I'm telling you, as Buca is
gonna have a good year. He did. He was right
on that.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
I am. He is more dialed in for sure. And
I struggle with the in this fantasy baseball league, if
you want to pick up a player, you have to
pick him up.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
The day before. There is no same day pickups.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
So that really throws me off because I don't ever
think about, oh, who's pitching in two days. I think
about who's pitching today, And so that's how I struggle.
But be ready, it will be two hundred dollars. It
will be the biggest fantasy football league. You have ever
been in.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
It really is because nobody ESPN can't even pull it
off because we linked together four different divisions. Any other
ESPN will be twelve teams. We do four different twelve teams,
all in the same league, which you would then have
essentially the same players as people in other divisions, but
it's all linked together on the same website. I was
shocked that you were able to actually pull it together.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, I've even thought about expansion. You know, they talk
about expansion in the NBA. They're exploring expansion cities, relegation.
I've thought about doing that. I've thought about expanding it,
but I don't know if we're ready for that. But
we should relegate it. We should. If you get in
last place, you can't be eligible for next season.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
When are we ever gonna say if somebody comes to
the convention they get put in a hat? Can we
do that this year? Okay? Do we have a list
we do of the people that came to the convention,
and if they're interested in fantasy football, they're in a
separate pot, and we guarantee will select so many of them.
Because there somebody it was I believe it was the

(25:35):
day one ers that made the amazing point. They said,
there has to be some benefit to coming to the
convention other than just getting hammered and being hungover at
work the whole next week. There has to be a
reason you come to the convention.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
It's not like to So what you're saying is the
twenty twenty six convention, we should guarantee three spots twenty
twenty seven. That's what I said. Oh I say that six,
So twenty twenty seven convention, we should guarantee X number
of spots to those people in the fantasy football League.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Are we doing it though, grandfathering in from the previous year? No?

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Okay, So I'm saying this upcoming convention, at that convention,
we draw two names to be in the twenty twenty
seven Fantasy Football League.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
At the convention, yes, you have to be their boots
on the ground. Boots on the ground. And I was thinking,
would the person then be able to double dip? But
I mean, who cares if they do? Like if Kapy
came to the convention, got in and then also tried
to get in on the twice, could somebody have two teams?

(26:43):
Essentially if he then made his daughter's name.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
That's fine, his daughter can have a team, But no,
you can't be managing two teams, because what if you're
in the same division, you could just do trades between
yourself and give yourself a hell of a team.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Okay, well, I like that guarantee. But also, are we
going to investigate and this may sound sexist truckers if
woman truckers may sound lawyers lawyers? Yep, that's something one
of those things that we got here. HR. We haven't
had the lawyers thing in a while. We haven't had
the HR thing in a while.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
What the TI fighters.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Firefighters, thank you, tractors farmers. Yeah you guys, Hey knee
high by the fourth of July. What I was saying is,
are we going to investigate women that are having their
husbands help them with their teams?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
No? I don't care, But I mean, you have justin
help you. You have your husband help you, so it
doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Okay. Because it seemed that a husband and wife would
both put their names in and then if the wife
got picked, the husband would run the team.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
I mean, how do I stop that?

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Or in Cappy's case, the husband and husband both entered
teams and then the husband would run the other husband's team.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Yeah, I can't control that. I don't know how to
stop that. But I'm saying, do we have the capabilities?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
No, we don't.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Okay, we don't have a research crew. We don't have
we don't have interns, we don't have a stat boy
that like I'm Will Bond and corn Heeiser back in
the day. We don't have any of that. It's you
and I and Arnold doesn't do crap.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, what are you talking about? I do crap on Broadway.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yeah, but that doesn't help us research the Fantasy Football League.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
One time Arnold did come to the convention and the
mask it wasn't a mask, got stolen. I don't know
what happened to it.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
So someone obviously wanted a souvenir.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Yeah, so I believe that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
I wonder why you never brought that back, and.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
No idea where it went to. It could have been
one of those wild nights that I brought it out,
and who knows, but yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Yeah, And then I saw that Jesse, you know, he
impregnated his girl.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
That's the new update, and she is due in December.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
And he emailed in and said, I don't know what
to do do one ticket? Or do I not come?

Speaker 1 (29:01):
You get three?

Speaker 2 (29:03):
And she posted on the Facebook page and said, I
told you I'm I'm like Gretchen Wilson. I'm a redneck woman.
I'll be given a berth a month ago, but I'm
gonna need a beer. You better get me a ticket.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Well that's a power move.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
One month after giving birth. She's gonna roll up here.
That is gonna be impressive.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
I will say the community that the convention has developed
is pretty shocking. When we say you don't know what
you're gonna walk into at a business or something. I
never thought that the convention would take that turn. I
really thought it was gonna be one and done in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
I thought it was gonna be a one and done.
I didn't realize all these people were gonna.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Like each other, because I mean, Nashville just works for us.
The we were it wasn't good when we went to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
That was rough.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
We were we were gambling more than we were actually conventioning.
But but yeah, I can't believe this is number six,
right because we've had it was two in Vegas and
then four and.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Now the four shoesh man, just think about that, man,
but that Vegas man. That was fun, but that means
it wasn't good.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
It was a little troublesome too though, because Nashville is
such an easy city to get around Vegas. We were
bouncing around. There was a couple of those watch parties. Yeah,
we got one of those watch parties might have been
in Arizona.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
We did get a few complaints about that, and we
did get like feedback last year about some of the
events were too far from downtown. What I mean, the
Great Big Game Show was far away.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
But that gives them a taste of opry.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, but it's a long way.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I was just there with Boomer. Nobody said that's a
long ways.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Well, because you weren't there at a convention. Then also
the mini golf that was a little bit of a hike,
you know what I mean, the putting zone. So we
have listened and we have more concentrated downtown.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
And that actually led to a little bit of alcohol
abuse because I waited back with the group. I rolled
with a like seven of us. We went downtown immediately
after that went out drinking. And again that that's taking
the altcohol a little bit one step too far. I
believe maybe if we would have went to maybe a
golf place closer by. Would it went to the hotel

(31:15):
after instead of just thinking, well, I'm with this group,
why not hit Broadway? They're going to Broadway? We all
took an uber together. Yeah, maybe that doesn't happen. Yeah,
we'll take a break with neither here nor there.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Ray Ah coachure, Now what do we do? You ready
for an email?

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I would how many come in a lot? We are
the sore losers at gmail dot com. But this is
a big one lunch. I'm reaching out to you, the
veteran star of the Green team, what skills or terms
would be good to emphasize for first graders and second
grade soccer. I have coached two seasons in kindergarten four

(31:55):
players on the field, but this year we go up
to seven players on the field with an official goalie
and it is no longer co ed. I am trying
to watch as much World Cup as possible to spark
in some advance ideas and plays. I have never officially
played soccer. Joe, Joe, let me tell you what you're

(32:18):
gonna teach him?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Is that Sarasota Joe?

Speaker 2 (32:22):
I don't know. He didn't say Joe, the one with
the wife that looks like fifteen years younger and a
lot hotter than me.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Guys, leave your ips when you're send in these emails.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, no, I don't think this is Joe from Sarasota
because he's this dude who's never coached before. And I
don't I don't know, but Joe, all you're gonna do. Listen,
when they're seven years old, when they're in first and
second grade, you're teaching the goalie who can use their
hands in that big box. That is important. Teach the goalie, hey,
you can use your hands. Everybody else you can't use

(32:53):
your hands. What else are you teaching them to?

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Have fun?

Speaker 2 (32:57):
I don't know what skills and plays. There's no off
sides at that age, so there's not a lot to
teach them at that age. Tell them to spread out
like you're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Them all ball all up.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
There in a big ball big and you'll blow your whistle.
Practice be like freeze, freeze, and then say, look, Sally,
if you move over here, Jesse, if you move over
here and you're not in that big pile up, if
the ball.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Cappy, if you wheel over here, is there a fun
game like the ball where they try to get ice cream.
For soccer, though I haven't thought about that, there has
to be something that can go to ice cream or
to hitting something or putting it in a laundry basket.
I never played soccer either. I have no advice, but

(33:44):
if those games were around, I would imagine more kids
will stick with these sports.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Yes, you incentivize like practice. You know, if you guys
make ten passes in a row around the cones, we'll
have ice cream at the or you know, popsicles at
the end of practice.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
What if the code which blindfolded himself, oh, spun around
and then he has to try and block the shot
from the kid, but also not trying to get hit
in the nuts.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
That's funny. Put a blindfold on stand in front of
the goal and say you guys shoot on.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Me or you have ten seconds, and to see how
many goals you can get.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
That would be fun.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
I just thought of that.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
That's a good game.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
So Joe, are you not creative? And then what is
it to become the next messy? What are you trying
to do? You're trying to get in a corner of
a net? Is there a corner game? Is there a
TikTok dance? Is there?

Speaker 2 (34:32):
I'm pretty sure Joe is not coaching the next messy.
I'm just gonna guess right now, what if there was
a swimming version of soccer? What if there was sometimes
in wrestling, we'd play basketball. There's a cross for endurance? Yes,
is there a sport that crosses.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Over with it? Volleyball? Bad?

Speaker 2 (34:53):
No, not volleyball. Because you can't use your hands in soccer.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
That I should be the worst one.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Hey, man, get him in the pool like it's a
water polo. No, no, no, you can't use your hands. Man,
Only the goalie can use your hands.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
What a dumb rule? What do you mean? I guess
it'd be more like rugby than.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Right, it'd be football.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
It just seems like it's hindering them when they're not
allowed to use their hands, and especially this rule when
they're in the box. If it hits a hand, they
get a free kick. Stop.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
I get the handball? It can stop the ball. But
there's times these guys. I've seen the instant replace half
asleep during a nap. When I wake up, a guy
barely touches it and they go handball it wasn't intentional.
I don't think that should be called if their hands
are remaining semi low as long as they're not doing YMCA.
I mean it can hit the hand. The handball in

(35:47):
the box is a free kick, like stop. An elbow
to the face for the Naymar free kick. Stop stop
Like the guy jumped in the air. He wasn't even
looking where his elbow was going, had no idea it
was gonna hit the guy in the face, and that's
a free kick. The one thing the World Cup has

(36:08):
taught me is y'all need to check these rules. Also,
guys are flopping more than I who's a flopper? Oh Harden.
It looks like James Harden times twenty. On the field.
With these floppers, you'll have one guy flopping like a
dead fish, another guy actually he just got shot in
the back. Another guy just acts like I got a
dildo up his I'm like what all at the same time,

(36:30):
and the ref's like, I'm not listening to any y'all,
and they keep playing, and so then each guy has
to slowly get up and act like it was all right.
I think I can run it off, coach. The ref
didn't buy it. They should be able to review it
like the NBA and say if a guy faked it,
that's a penalty.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
I agree they should give more yellow cards for faking.
They don't, they do, but they don't use it very often.
The simulation is what they call it, some of these fakes.
But I don't think you understand and how hard they're
actually getting hit.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
I get it. No, it's and you're dead. I understand this.
You're dead tired, so you're trying to get a rest
for rest and if somebody when I'm dead tired and
somebody barely hits my foot, it's like ah, and that's
how they feel. So I get that. But I mean, yeah, yeah,
I know. I understand it. Especially with your feet though, too,

(37:23):
because they're.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
All when they are always stepping on each other's feet,
that hurts right.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
In the NBA, you're trying to avoid each other's feet
because you're just going after the ball, and these breaking
your feet. The ball is attached to their foot, so
they're going after the feet. And anytime someone steps on
your foot, how bad does it hurt? A lot? And
think got fast they're running and how hard they're stepping
on their foot? And then another guy slid and he
cleaded the guy and that was a major penalty.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, got a red. Yeah, but that was I felt
like that was a bad da.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
I see there you go. I'm already understanding the game.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
His leg just got caught on top of the ball
like it like it's weird.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
So, and are these kids wearing cleats when they practice? Yeah,
that's dangerous.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
That's why you wear shingting guards.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah. Oh, so are the pros wearing shin guards?

Speaker 2 (38:10):
They have to? Okay, I mean I bet you they don't.
They might practice with shin guards, but a lot of
in my adult co ed league, most people don't wear
shin guards.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
That's what I was gonna say.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
But I am the old weird dude. I wear shin
guards because I'm like, I'm too old to get kicked
in the shin and have bruises and marks all up
and down my legs and it hurts. I'm too old
for that crap.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Tell me this would it be fun if they brought
their mom's leg weights and the kids did a little
bit of a practice in leg weights, and then the
next practice they are gonna be super fast.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
They'll feel real fast. Weigh them down, let them loose.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Or a slipping slide where you kind of add waters
and dawn so that the kids can slide and do
a cool kick or something like they leave the ball
in the middle of the slipping slide and they slide
and kick the ball at the very end. There's gotta
be ways to make soccer more fun. That would be
cool to slip and slide it kick it into the goal.
We did do slip and slide at baseball to do

(39:04):
the sliding, but I don't know because you can't slide.
I guarantee you can't slide tackle at that age like
it's illegal. So I don't know what sliding, but just
to have fun and slide and kick a ball pretty
awesome going down a slide and at the bottom of
the slide is a ball or other sports.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Because you can't header, you can't use your head in
youth soccer anymore.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
What about kickball? I mean kickball would be the perfect
soccer crossover.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
It wouldn't because the fielders would try to catch the
ball with their hands.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
You can't gotta catch you with you got to oh,
trap it with your body.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Yes, Oh it's not bad.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Yeah, I think I just gave phenomenal tips. I've never
played soccer, never even thought of it. But that's just
how creative we are. From the Big Show. I'd say
we're creative on this show too. Man, kickball, bro don't
even play soccer. Make them play that boring game on Saturdays.
During the game, play kickball to practice. You'll love it.
You just can't touch the ball. Yeah, the only person

(40:04):
that can touch it is the goalie, the pitcher, and
everybody else has to kick it.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
That is actually a fun game. You only can kick it, Okay,
I guess. I mean you might as well just play soccer.
Why would you be in positions?

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Good point, but it's helping them get that huge kick
to where they're trying to get it past the infielders.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
I mean, like what my amazing coach is growing up.
What we did at that age is you had.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Cones lined up.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
When you dribble in and out of the cones. Get
them used to dribbling the ball. You have them two
lines on each side of the cones, and you have
two at a time. They go and they pass back
and forth between the cones. I mean, it's just buyer stuff.
You're just teaching them to have fun. And make sure
they understand the rules about hands and no hands. That's

(40:59):
the biggest one. At that age.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Everybody bring water, balloons and whipped cream. Next game, Ken,
did he do soccer?

Speaker 2 (41:07):
No, kid, that's soccer. That's a pansy sport. Kid.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
I thought Boomer was gonna play a little we when
he was younger, we played a little soccer.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
I think he'd been good.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
Oh, definitely. I mean his legs for sure, I mean
he had. He looks like he has the perfect sized
body for a soccer player. Yeah, and I mean powerful legs.
That's what. It's a good picture. Yeah. But we played soccer.
I remember in the yard playing it, and I was like, dang,
is soccer gonna be big in America? And I was like,
I'll screw it. Quit playing that. He would he would, dude,
he was six and already better than me. I was like,

(41:40):
this is terrible.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
That's not good.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
But yeah, so that's it, Joe, have fun, man, get
out there and let us know how the season goes.
I'd like to know your team name, and we'd like
to get an update every week how you're doing.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
I just thought about this. I never played soccer, but
South Beach was obsessed with soccer and kicking in college.
At our apartment, we'd put up two laundry baskets and
we'd play indoor soccer.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
That's legit.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
So don't know how big your house is. It worked
in an apartment. If you got a mansion and be
perfect castle even better. But we played soccer and it was.
It actually is a pretty good equalizer because it was
pretty competitive because I had no skill he had. He
was a kicker, and I still was decently competitive with
him because you're you're really just like trying to get
it past them and it's not like a lot of

(42:23):
skills involved.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Especially when you're in your living room playing with laundry
baskets and drunk and you're naked. It's really, I mean,
really weird, really weird.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Somebody comes over, like, why are you guys sweating? Oh,
we were playing indoor soccer. Have the laundry baskets out.
We both have our shirts off, just sweating our nuts off. Dude.
It was a great workout. Neighbors would come knock on,
what are you guys doing up here? Oh? Sorry, man,
had the kids over? Like kids over? You guys are
like twenty all right, bad excuse, dude. We'd be sweating

(42:54):
and go to the door and it looked like we
were playing indoor freaking played indoor pecker. It looked like
you were playing hide in the back door. Look like
we were playing dildo ball. We would open the door,
both sweating in shorts, shirts off. Hey, what were you

(43:16):
guys doing? We were playing indoor soccer? Oh is that
what you're calling it nowadays? What popular?

Speaker 2 (43:24):
Put that ball inside?

Speaker 1 (43:25):
What? Sorry? Man? Sorry about that? Yeah, yeah, we won't
do it again. We'd play to like ten. He would
usually beat me like ten six. It was. It was
some times, and those games were competitive because we'd go
hitting each other's legs. You're right, it hurt. I just
thought it in Austin hurts. There was a whole It
might have been during a World Cup. There was a

(43:46):
whole season. We played for like three months straight and
then just never played again. I think it's because we
got embarrassed by the neighbor. Dude, I remember we were.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
I mean, dude.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
That was fun. That that brought my enjoyment to soccer.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
Yeah, my kids playing the hallway all the time. Now
with soccer with laundry baskets, they just play the wall
to wall.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Oh, I gotta tell him next time he's on the
pod to get a laundry basket.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
That would be better instead of putting a hole in
the wall. I didn't think about that.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
Yeah, that's what I mean South Beach thought of. He's like, yeah,
just put up two laundry baskets and make it competitive.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
Or they play in the kitchen. Why mama's trying to
cook and she gets pissed. Oh yeah, She's like, would
you not play in the kitchen? I said it like
it was dad's idea.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
All right, guys, thanks saw an indoor soccer ball at Marshall's.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
Yeah, for twenty dollars. Those are great, those little blue
hybrid ones. Was gonna get it. Figured your kids already
had it. They got two, okay, glad I didn't get it.
They ended up getting pits a Patrick Mahomes doll.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Nice brother, Thank you so much for that, brother. I'm
gonna leave it here at work. I don't usually collect dolls, brother,
but for Patrick Mahomes collect anything. Brother. He loved it.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
He of course he didn't. Yeah, and ay one week
next Friday's Baby Box's eighth birthday. Dude, bring him on
the pop. I guess I will bring them on the podcast. No, well,

Speaker 1 (45:07):
We're too Many people have emailed in that those podcasts
are bad with the kids. They said, we said poop
too much or something.

Speaker 2 (45:13):
Oh, that was just your sister. I mean it's like
your sister said I was bad by myself. Whatever.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
That's actually what it was. It was somebody said, your
kid wasn't annoying, but I was annoying because of how
I was in the interview.

Speaker 2 (45:26):
No, you were great.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
No, but they said I was annoying. The kids loved it, right,
the kids loved it, But I'm saying the listeners. I
had multiple people tell me that I was annoying by
how I was treating your kids or something.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Are we are we doing it for them or are
we doing it for the kid? We're doing it for
the kids.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Oh, we're doing it for us exactly.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
