Speaker 1 (00:01):
You want to do the intro? You want me to
do it? Oh dude, I'm here with you. It is
a Monday, and it feels great to be a Nashville
sc fan. What's up, guys. I am the Voice guy.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
We are a spin off of the Bobby Bone Show,
The Big Show.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
We're called the Sore Losers Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
We do this in our spare time, for free for
the crowd, and we enjoy doing it.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yes we do, Yes we do some days.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
And we are exactly forty nine days away from the
twenty twenty seven Sore Losers Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, brought
to you.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
By Freeland chevrolay.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
And as you can see from that graphic we put
on our Instagram, Sore Losers Podcast, we got the nice
vehicle and it's got the license plate that says Freeland Chevrolet.
Will they be giving us a vehicle? Probably not, but
let's just paint that picture, dude.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I mean, there's no way. I'm not even gonna say it.
What if one of these years? Probably too late this year,
but we have a drawing from Freeland Chevrolet for a
free vehicle at the convention. You come to the convention,
you got a chance to win a free vehicle. That

(01:18):
would be an epic convention.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
We need to have lunch, you me, Richard and Lewis,
and just how you presented that to me, I want
you to present to them.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Okay, and so you want me to be there so
when they laugh us out of the room and say
that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
No, I want to grab a drink. I want to
be seated, and I just want to see it in
all its glory and I want to have the biggest laugh.
Will probably be a TNT there just outside of Nashville.
It's a nice uh it's a darker bar that poor lighting.
It's a Billiard's bar. I usually go to lunch with
them there, and I want to get one of the
biggest laughs I've ever had in my entire life. I'm

(01:55):
actually going to record that and we're going to post
that on the Instagram.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Hey, and it'll be the most viral video of all
time the MVP. Instead of we give them that trophy,
now we get them a brand new car for freelan Chevrolet. Guys.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Speaking of going viral, we posted on the Instagram and
we got eighty eight views. Now we are YouTube on
YouTube guys, So we'll be done with the Instagram YouTube content.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, we're gonna need more people to go over there
and comment on that, like watch it. Maybe we could
do better videos. We're learning. We're not really YouTube guys.
It's hard, man. We're doing this in our spare time.
We put a video up and obviously a lot of
people are not watching. All right, We're gonna do it live.
Oh man, oh the one, two, three sore losers? What up, everybody?

(02:48):
I am lunchbox. I know the most about sports, so
I give you the sports facts, my sports opinions because
I'm pretty much a sports genius.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Y'all had sison, all have the perfect game. I'm from
the North, Alpha male, live on the north side of
Nashville with Baser, two kids at Vanderbilt ther defrosting. Justin's
on gun Lake. He needs to check on him. I
got two acres freshly mode place looks great. Send a
picture to my mom. She said it's almost heavenly and
I said, yes, Mom, Yes, that's why I moved to
the South because there's there's nice, beautiful yards, it gets

(03:18):
adequate rain, and there's not nine months of winter. Yes,
it is heavenly with all the crops and stuff. Coach
over to you.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I thought you meant you sent her a picture of
Justin on gun Lake and she said heavenly and I
was like, it's a love weird She's talking about Justin
like that, but she was talking about your property. I
apologize and I just want to say, Ray, I don't
know if Saturday was just an amazing day or I
mean an amazing day. It was fantastic. I knew it

(03:46):
a phenomenal day. Yep, to be a soccer fan because
the one and only Leonel Messi, the greatest soccer player
and the best power walk to ever grace us with
his presence on a soccer field. Some people call it
the pitch was in our city. He was right here

(04:10):
in Nashville, Tennessee. And these stakes couldn't have been higher.
Nashville's in first place, Miami and Messi are in second place.
Winter stays in first, Miami Wednesday move into first. It's
a showdown for the ages and we are hyped. We

(04:31):
talk about it all week. We talk about it all
day on Saturday. Who talked about it all week? We didn't,
Me and my kids, Me and the Box Boys, and
my wife. And on like Wednesday, we get an invite
from the neighbors. Hey, they're doing some music on a
mountain on Saturday night. We're all gonna go for you know,

(04:54):
my birthday. There's gonna be like eight couples. You guys
want to go, and my wife goes, we should really go,
And I said, heye, Messi's in town on Saturday. I
would rather go see Messi than go hang out with
eight couples from the neighborhood on top of a mountain
watching some music.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Wait, you were presenting with an option other than going
to the game. Yes, I thought music on the mountain
preempted the Messy game.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
No, it was the same day and music on the mountain.
I believe the gates opened at four o'clock, and it doesn't.
The music didn't start till seven or eight. That's a
long time to be just sitting on the mountain waiting
for the music. It sounds like an unhoused event. And
so I said, I'm going to pass on music on

(05:45):
the mountain if you would like to shows. No, I
kind of want to see Messi. That seems pretty cool.
Who played music on the mountain walling? No, probably not.
I don't know who it was. I didn't check the itinerary.
A knockoff guy called Luke Crumbs, probably something like that,
a guy that just didn't make it exactly. I said,

(06:09):
we got messy on Saturday. And so then here's what's crazy.
My cousin was in town and his son. They were
in town. They were staying at the crib all weekend.
So on Saturday we were like, oh, what do you
guys want to do? You guys want to go see Nashville.
And so we did legos. In the morning, we did
build legos and we did that, and I was like, guys,

(06:31):
we got to stop with the legos. They didn't come
here to build legos. They came here to see Nashville.
So we packed up in a vehicle and we drove
downtown and we went to this street called Broadway. Took
the three boys, took my wife, took my cousin and

(06:52):
his son, and we parked. We went eight at fifth
and broad and then we said, let's go hit some bars.
And we hit Tutsi's, we hit Laila's, we hit the
western Wear whatever, Robert's Westernwear store, Second Fiddle, Second Fiddle. No,
you didn't they close. Got your ass, No, I was
gonna say second fiddle. I didn't see that one. You

(07:13):
just said you went to see you know, you said
second fiddle, and I repeated, and I was like, second fiddle.
Second fiddle is right next to Laila's. It is not open,
it closed. Got your ass. No, you didn't let me finish.
I was saying, we did not go to second fiddle.
You said second fiddle, So I just repeated what you said.
But we went to the first bars because I didn't
want to go all the way down. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Even the last weekend or weekend before that, you went out,
you only go to the first two bars into Broadway.
You don't even meet the lower Broadway or the second
Avenue bars.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Well, here's the thing. When you have kids, they get
a little bit bored with the Broadway. I would imagine
without drinking, Broadway's horrible. So they watched some music and
then like all right, you know what I mean. And
we were in Toots and it was crowded, and people,
excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me. Still that crowded, yes,

(08:08):
And we were in the back because the front there
was no seats. We want to watch people right when
you walk in. So we go up the stairs and
we're in that little room right there, and of course
it's band change right when we get there. So we're
just sitting there waiting.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Okay, So when you're not drinking with the as a kid,
you want the bands to be playing. So band change
is the worst, the worst because there's nothing going on.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
See, as a drinker, you're never paying attention to that.
You don't even notice. The kids notice that, Yeah, didn't
even notice. So then we sit there, they start and
then they're like, all right, now you know this is
what we do on Saturdays. M take your tops off. No,
I don't know if it's once a month or just
every Saturday. It's our open mic competition. This is where

(08:56):
people come to audition, and this is where you get
your start in Nashville. Really, yes, all the times have
been to Legends. Never had it been that time? Yeah,
because it wasn't at Legends, it was at Tutsi's so caught.
You set up the stairs when you walk in tutsis. Look,
I don't know, maybe.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
No, I know what you're talking about. But at Legends
there's also a secondary perch where you can go up
some stairs and see the music from there.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Correct, But no, this is a separate room at Tutsi's. Yeah,
it's like if you came in the back door of
the alley, that's the stage you'd be at.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
That's where you used to there would be a girl
that knew you, and she'd get us in right away.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Correct. And so I'm like, this is gonna be interesting.
Let's watch this. They were terrible. Really, Oh my god,
dudes are chicks. The two I saw were dudes. The
guy gets up there, I've been here for fifteen years.
I'm like, Okay, you're obviously not going to be good,
because if you've been coming to this open audition at

(09:56):
Tutsi's for fifteen years, they you have already said, hey man,
you're not good enough to play at Tutsies. Trying to
get his chops. But they told us that's where Willie
Nelson got his start. M hm, that's where Tyler Childer's Childress.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
And I think he just came up with an album.
And I am not kidding about his album. I think
it was called like, hey girl, do you want to
come and suck my look it up? I believe that's
the title of the song the album.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Okay, Well, apparently he got his start at Tootsies, at
least they claim he did on this open mic thing.
I don't know. So we do that, and then of
course one kid's got a poop, so we got to
go to the bathroom. Then the next one's got to pee,
Then the next one's got to pee. Then me and
one of the ones go up to the rooftop of Tootsies.
That gets a little wild. Let me tell you a

(10:44):
lot more energy up on the rooftop, a lot more,
a lot more talented. Dude is singing on the bar,
like I mean, it is like it's rocking up there
because they have a band. They have a live band,
live band, and they're jamming. We go out on the
balcony and looking over Broadway. The bartender goes a huge lunchbox.
Can I get a picture? He still gets, right? Is

(11:07):
it the girl I was just talking about? No different girl.
She's been here three years, only from Minnesota, and she
was like this is so crazy. And I was like,
are you always out of here? She's like yeah, and
I was like, oh yeah, I never make it to
the rooftop. Yeah, he's out all the time. So we're
there for hours. Dude, we were down there for probably

(11:27):
three hours, and that's not I could tell. The rooftop
must have been talented that.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Oh yeah, we're trapped up here, honey, not gonna be
down for a couple hours.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
I did text her. I'm like, oh yeah, me and
the boy up here on the rooftop, just checking it out,
you know what I mean. It's a very good scenery.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
I've taken a couple buddies there and they fall in love,
and I'm like, dude, you know how many girls or
dudes this chick talks to on the course of a
day and gives her number two. My buddy's like, I
got her number, I got, I secured it, Okay, she
gives it to everybody seal tip.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yeah. I think her name was Erica maybe. Yeah. Very
nice looking anyway. Kind of hot out, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
It's you're wearing the ath leisure makes it not as hot,
and so you listen to the show.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Huh. Guy. I was like, so you like working down here,
You're making a lot of make a lot of money,
they said, on a good, good day. Thousand. Yeah, that's wild.
That's pretty awesome. I mean that's two days a week
and your set exactly. I mean, good if you make
a if you do one night, thousand dollars and just
work four day, four days a month.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
But I bet Tootsi's gropes him into doing a couple
of the bad nights. Yeah, you're not just able to
pick a Saturday. I mean, I'm sure you still got
to do three to four nights.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah. Probably, You're probably right. So we were supposed to
take a nap because when you got a soccer game
at seven thirty, the kids are gonna be worn out. Yeah,
we've been going all day, but they're starting to break down.
They're ready to leave. So where do we go? Candy store?

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I love the places you go with kids. I lived
on Broadway. Never once went to the candy store. That's
stupid place. No, who literally goes there. I'm gonna tell
you who goes there. You want to know who goes there?
Every person walking on Broadway?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Really, dude, it was packed, I mean absolutely packed. Are
they partnering for the convention or something? Dude, I'm just
telling you. Don't they have the carameld apples or Carameld
apples candy apples, they got popcorn. Fudd I've never been
with a bro on Broadway.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
And he says, hey, man, you know what, I'm gonna
go grab a carameld apple.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
I'll meet you guys at Legends. Fuck.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Can you imagine a guy with his buddy group he's
eating a carameld apple. Dude, you get raz You'd never
hear the end of it.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I know, Hey, I can I are you trying to
go into the stage? I see her idea, What the
hell are you eating? Dude? You can't bring that crap
in here? You're wearing half of it. So, dude, we're
there at the candy store and they are just in
heaven like they've seen the greatest thing in the world,

(14:16):
all this candy. And then I look over and they
have like Dad's root beer in like little things when
they have ice on it, and my damn kid is
sitting there eating the ice. It was hot out and
I'm like, dude, do you understand people put their hands
in that? That is disgusting. And when we were at Tootsies,

(14:38):
they've walked around with the chip bucket and my four
year old saw the money and stuck his hand in it. Yeah,
trying to get the money. I was like, no, no, no, guys.
So we get the candy and my cousins are going
to the Foo Fighters concert. Right, it's called Foo That's
what I said. Oh so what it's called? Yeah? Sorry,
They're going to see Foo and Queens of stone Age

(14:59):
or something go one at six thirty. So they wanted
to be back downtown at six. Cousin Couzo wanted to
see Foo over MESSI. Uh yeah, Couz is a music guy.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Cauz is in town the same weekend Messi's in town.
You can get tickets for one hundred bucks. I looked
him up and Couz chose FO.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Yeah, Couz doesn't really care about MESSI. Neither my wife.
The reason they came to town was to see FO. Like,
they bought tickets to see Foo Fighters. I think you
told me that already. Yeah. And so they were staying
in my house and it was four fifteen when we're
leaving downtown, like we've been down there for like four hours. Yeah,

(15:40):
kids are not gonna get a nap, dude, this is
gonna be a bad night for MESSI.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
So she was telling me that she loves the bar
ten and it's at the outfit. They said, actually is
the tribute to the Tutsi purple top?

Speaker 1 (15:53):
You know. Yeah, we were there for four hours. I
was up top at Tutsi's for an hour and a half.
How long were you trapped on the I told my wife,
I can't find my way down. I want. I love
what they do with those purple tops.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Y'all wear toutsies on one half seas on the other.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Wow wow, I love them.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Good gosh, they have them wearing nothing nothing, And it.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Was hot, but she had a nice canopy over her
keeping her in the shade, and oh man, she was
doing a fine job serving some great alcohol.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
So they were doing drinks also on the rooftop, yes okay.
And then also you come into the bar a little
bit where it's covered and there's that huge bar.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yes okay. So that means they were super busy if
they had those stations. Yes, it was busy, That's what
I'm saying. So we get in the vehicle and we
drive back home, and they go and they change into
their food gear, looking like absolute tools, wearing a food
shirt to a food concert whatever. And I got to
drive downtown. So jump back in the car and now

(16:56):
my guys, we're gonna leave. We're gonna go to the
game right then. But then I realized the game was
seven thirty. I was like, you guys, stay home, get
some cool air, like relax for a little bit. I'll
come back and pick you up. Final show at Nissan.
I didn't know that. But also, what are you celebrating
final show at a crappy stadium. Yeah. Well, the next morning,
my cousin and his son both said, man, that was

(17:19):
the last show at Nissan, and I'm like, oh, And
I was like, I had no idea, And I was like,
they may be just lying to us. I was like, no,
because I don't know when the new stadium opens, but
that sounds about right because football is about to start,
and I guess the stadium opens in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, and also the stadium the old stadium might be
at a discount convention.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
We fill up one row, we just go run the field. Oh,
that would be cool. We got to take a break. Yeah,
so we'll take a break and I'll tell you the
rest of the story right after this. So I dropped
the cousin and his and his son off on the

(18:04):
bridge right there where the stairs go down. Uh, And
they walk into the stadium and I'm just like, guys,
go sore, enjoy the show. And my cousin decides that
he is a true musician fan. So he wore pants,
he wore jeans. When it was one hundred and fifty
two degrees. They were on the left side of the stadium,
which is the sun side of the stadium, in the

(18:26):
upper upper upper deck, so they got roasted, roasted in
the sun. He said that first hour was pretty freaking miserable,
but the good news was it was twelve dollars beer
night and it was political what what don't think it was?
So then the game is not till seven thirty, right,

(18:48):
messy and Nashville. And so I said, man, if we're
there by six forty five, plenty of time, you're getting
messy with your storytelling. No, yes, So I pick up
the wife and the kids. I'm like, here we go.
We'll get there, plenty of time to get parking in
someone's yard. Because forty five minutes or that's really early.
We way underestimated the messy effect. Yep, one hundred percent

(19:14):
overestimated messy and the people he brings I had it
on my god, there was people everywhere.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
The pregame show was showing the crowd people entering the stadium.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
It was packed, dude. The traffic on the highway was
a mile back exit. Yes, it makes sense. And my
wife was like, oh, I think that's food Fighter's traffic,
and I was like, ah, I don't think so. But
what I noticed just everybody's in the right lane, and
I'm like, guys, this is a two lane exit. This

(19:46):
is a double lane exit. So I had to wait
a minute, Wait a minute, wait a minute, got over
in the over one lane, skipped all the traffic straight
off the exit. Now my lane is supposed to only
turn and left and out right towards the stadium. I
just busted a right illegally, be I mean, I would
have been sitting in that traffic for thirty five minutes easily.

(20:08):
You're talking about me.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Every morning in the past week, they have every feeder
road closed when you're trying to exit Broadway here. Really
they're redoing the interstate. So I'm like, oh, that's cool,
run red light, make a left on a right. I mean,
I did probably five illegal things this morning.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Well I'm glad you made it. And so we, like
all the parking is already taken. All these ones where
we normally park in these yards already sold out, and
we're forty five minutes early. Hey, bucco, find me a
good spot. Here's the keys. So I found a spot
over here on the right side. Usually we park on
the left side, so it's easy out. I just jump
in traffic, go, and this time I'm going to cross

(20:45):
all the lanes of traffic. We walked to the stadium
and they have the messy jerseys for sale all over
the roadside. That's no, this is our city, dude. I
mean there was one guy every one hundred yards selling
knockoff messy jersey. The color were they pink or black? Pink? Black?
For the death of his dad, Barcelona, Jersey, Argentina. They

(21:09):
had all versions of messy jerseys. Why did they wear black?
I guess because Messi's dad, Yes, rest in peace. Did
they say that? Yeah? Oh, I didn't know that. They
didn't announce that in the state. I knew that, but
I had the broadcast. They didn't announce that. Okay, And
I mean we are sweating. We get to the game,
and I mean we think we're going to be way early.
We get there, just in time to see Messi walk

(21:31):
out and the crowd. Dude, there was so many freaking
messy fans. There so many messy fans. And he comes
out looking all like, yeah, I'm the baddest dude on
the planet. And then we and then Baby Box won
first five minutes of the game. Lays his head down

(21:52):
on mom's lap. What he's tired, man, We had a
big day down on Broadway, and I'm like, oh, he's
going to sleep. It's still zero zero. It's still zero zero.
But then we score a goal and he's back up,
and then we are cheering the whole game and we
proceed to wipe the floor with Messi and Miami and
then a pek for Messi right in front of me,

(22:16):
Right in front of me, that's where I sit. When
Messi is facing that goal. His right hand is pointing
right at me, and we watched him to his little
stutter step block block. Messi's not welcome here. What a fraud.
That was the worst penalty kick I've ever seen. That

(22:38):
was pretty dang bad.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
He thought a little dribbler was gonna be the ticket.
I mean, dude, don't you have the golden boot? And
he goes with a ground ball.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
It was terrible.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
That's immediately I text you. I was like, wow, MESSI
is a fraud. Everybody just overpaid for their tickets to
see this fraud.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Dude, I am like, And it was so crowded, trying
to get food like we but halftime, we didn't get
food by the time halftime was over. It was so crowded.
It is never that crowded. I was in bed.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Then I couldn't make it the halftime, so it was
one one when I went to bed.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Oh man, and then we just came out in the
second half and absolutely put it on them and their goalie.
On one our goalie punted it and it bounced. Their
goalie comes up, kind of slips and falls, it goes
over his head. Muktar walks it right into the goal.
That was one of our goals. Yes, what a game
to go to. It was great.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Bazer. I was like, hey, come on, we were bouncing
around town. We were in like Green Hills. Yeah, but hey,
tickets are one hundred dollars each. Would you want to go?
Oh my god, you should have gone, dude. And she's like, yeah, yeah,
do you want to go to MESSI? And I was like, yes,
let's go to MESSI she was I'm kidding you know
I would never go to that.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Well, I will say you you wouldn't didn't miss much,
he didn't do much. We bottled him up the whole game.
Were you ever going to tell me that we had
a player named Eddie Eddie Texith. It's the worst player
I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
All he does is follow around and butt kiss, muck
tar and the surage and is he shorter than me?

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Dude? Do you don't understand how good he is?

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Eddie's the worst player on our team. I texted you,
I said, when were you gonna tell me we had
this Eddie guy?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
He sucks? Edie sucks. And that's when I knew you
don't know. I watched Socker because he controls the game
for Nashville. He is so impactful. He works his little
ass off.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
He was immediately my least favorite player on the team.
When the announcer said his name's Eddie E D d
I or something, yeah, I was like, I hate Eddie.
Surge is dope, Sow's mucktar mucktar. Actually, I mean he's
he's out there balling out like if I was a kid.
I would want to be Mucktar Eddie, eh worst player
on the team.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Eddie was out there balling all game. Every game, he
controls our midfield. He never scores and he doesn't need
to score. He controls the middle of the pitch. He
distributes the ball to Surge, to Mooktar, to whoever else
is up there, Espinoza. Dude, Eddie is so good. And
his dad was in the stands. Saw him in the

(25:21):
stands after the game, when the kids are down there
trying to get autographs, there's Eddie's dad just standing there
and Eddie comes over and they talk and take a picture,
and it was crazy. Did you not wonder why they
were wearing the black jerseys? I had no idea. They
should have conveyed that to the crowd in attendance. They
should have. And I also thought, man, it's really a

(25:41):
bold choice to wear that black in this freaking heat.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
The announcer was like, well, tonight they play for Messi's father,
the late he's died. They will be wearing black tonight.
But I had to ask him. I was like, dude,
how do I watch this crap? What channels it on?
You're like Apple TV, baser found it all for him.
Apparently we have Apple TV, beautiful product. Apple TV does

(26:05):
a great job.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
It was ls. It was good, I will say, though
they make it hard to find for every game to
only be on Apple probably not the best move.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Oh yeah, it's a no big deal. I only had
to go through the home screen. Then I had to
jump on over through Hulu. Then I had to go
through the Apple sign in, enter an ID, go through
the Apple iPhone, then go to the YouTube app, then
back through Hulu and then over to Apple. But then
I was able to finally watch the game and I
was like, hey, I'm locked in, but you were not
at a good spot where you are the camera is,

(26:35):
so you'll never be on TV.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Correct. They show it from my angle right, So you
should have just told me that from the start. I
was like, hey, break down where you are and You're
like goal left and I'm like, okay, I'm not a
soccer grade what does goal left mean? And so I'm like,
I said the lead of our goalie, okay, So that
I found our goalie. He was in a different jersey
than the rest of the team, you know why. So
when he comes out of his dad die no, when
he comes out to use his hands. The ref knows, Okay,

(26:59):
that's the goalie.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
So I'm like, okay, so is it front facing or
is he saying in reference to where he is, he's
the left of the goalie. Oras as the TV looks
at it, it's the left of the goalie. So then
I finally found you all to realize the cameras right
on your side is never going to show you.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah, not gonna show me. You could have just told
me that from the get go. Well, I've never watched
it on TV, so I don't know that the camera's
not going to show me. But I just know that
on the jumbo tron they don't show my side usually.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
It took me forty five minutes. I was like, all right,
I'm gonna get a good picture of him for the nation.
We'll get a lot of views. All the cameras on
his side, he'll never zero percent chance.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah, but I put a video of Bessie up. I
thought that gained traction. No, not really, We're close to it, dude.
It was so fun. And when he walked off, he
didn't high five any fans, didn't acknowledge any fans all
when when Miami scored their one goal. Messi was a
direct impact, passed it to the guy. I mean, did

(27:52):
his only thing of the game. And there was a
couple times he barely missed that goal. But he really
didn't do much. But he walked off that field and
he didn't say nothing to nobody, didn't high five anybody.
All these losers in their messy jerseys hanging over by
Messi MESSI, yeah, go home, sad, your little pieces of crap.
Did he go to Broadway? No, he didn't go to Broadway.

(28:13):
Didn't see him down there, right, and he went to Foo.
I am proud of my kids. They didn't jump on
the bandwagon like all these other people, their season ticket holders,
or they're always in Nashville. I see their whole family's
in Nashville Sea shirts and they're in their messy shirt. No,
stick to your team, baby, And I love my kids
for that. And we win, we're in first place. And

(28:35):
then we're sitting there and the kids are trying to
get autographs and one of the player's moms talk to her.
She's a huge fan listen for years. Were you signing autographs? No?
She was like, oh my gosh, it's so nice to
meet you, and we talked it up for like ten minutes, dude,
and I was like, well, it was very nice to meet.
He was Josh Bower's mom. He plays defense. He came

(28:56):
in the other night got a yellow card. You guys
should have done a jersey swap where he puts his
shirt on you and you put your shirt on him.
That would have been cool. That would have been cool.
But yeah, man, And then we stayed for an hour
afterwards trying to get autographs. Messi's yeah, well, no, MESSI
didn't give autographs. And I don't even know if my
kids would take Messi because they turned down Mouktar because

(29:19):
they'd already signed his app once. My kid was like, no,
I don't need you Moutar, and I'm like, dude, just
get him to sign it twice. And so if Messi
would have come over there, I don't know if my
kids would have they'd have been like no, no. But
my kids said at morning meeting today at school that
he was gonna say we dominated Messi and I might

(29:39):
really he goes see, I'm na tell him we went
to the game and Messi got dominated. That's what I'm
gonna say. At the morning meeting.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Oh, he's gonna realize very quickly. Soccer isn't that big
in America, and most kids didn't watch it on Apple
through via Hulu, via the YouTube app.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
So what you're telling me is most people aren't gonna
care what he says at the morning meeting. But he
and he did come home last week on the second
day of school and go, Dad, I'm so bored and
I'm so mad, Like what this time it goes? We
started learning on the second day of school. What are

(30:17):
we doing? Oh man, we'll take a break now. They
might care about that story. Probably not, but it was
awesome and here's hey, here's the thing about MESSI is
we stayed for an hour afterwards, and then we played
on the turf out in front of the stadium for
thirty minutes, and we walked to the car. There was

(30:39):
still traffic because there's so many people there for Messy
and place isn't built for a stadium. That place is
terrible getting out of there in traffic. But the fact
that we were there an hour and a half after
the game and there were still cars just lined up,
that's all.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Messy used to be where my gym was, and I
was actually gonna get in a apartment over there when
I was dating Baser, just so we weren't living in
sin And if I would have got an apartment there,
I would have gotten into discount rate and I'd have
been right next to the stadium that was going to
be built. Oh but I mean I would have missed
when this team started there, and when me and Baser
got married.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
It never would have worked out.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
But I was two blocks from where that stadium got
built without knowing it.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Yeah, that'd have been pretty cool. We'll take a break
and we'll be right back. Dude. You know what I
forgot to do. I forgot to check to see if
people paid for Fantasy. So I'm gonna pull up the
Venmo right now, real quick and see if we have
a redrawl because I did not pay attention this weekend.

(31:44):
Oh all right, we got to pay her. We got Jessica.
Who who she paid? She's in, Oscar Cobos is in,
Cooper Johnson is in, and Cooper says, dude, glad to
be in the Fantasy League. I'm the craps guy. We
had some drunken nights at craps table on the cruise,

(32:06):
me and him us three all three of us. The
craps guy, I mean, there was a handful of people
him and his wife. They loved to gamble.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I mean there was there was one guy basically taught
the game to There was another dude who won me
a thousand.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
That was probably him, You think I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Yeah, it was the same guy that also was buying
purses for his wife. No, No, that was the dad
with the kids. That's the dad that won me all
the money.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, so we got to do another draw. We got
Amy Patterson in Ray's division. You are now out. Let's
see third time might be the charm for someone. Let's
see who it's gonna be. So that Amy Patterson, the
lady that just got in. Still no, but didn't pay.
Didn't pay. So we're spinning it again. Here we go.
I did not shuffle the names again, Richard Atkins.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Richard Atkins, I bet you Amy Patterson and didn't even
know she was drawn, No, no chance.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Well did you email her? Nope? Because everybody threw a
fit about me emailing people. They're adults, they should know.
Here's the thing. One year I emailed. In the next year,
I'm like, I'm not gonna email. Then the next year.
I'm like, I feel bad, I'm gonna email, but you emailed,
but then you didn't email. Yes, because everybody got mad
and the vote was let them be adults. You didn't

(33:24):
email me when I missed my chance a couple of
years ago. Blah blah blah blah blah. I'm like, they're like,
and all the poll was no, I wouldn't want an email.
I'm a responsible adult. I know how to listen to
a podcast when they say they're gonna draw names. Here's
what happened. There was a lot of anger.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
Man.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, when you go after the commenters, when you're actually
talking to them like they're human beings.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
They they're behind a computer screen. Man.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yeah, you gotta tell them we want your comments. You
come to our building, you tell us those comments.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
No, no, don't come to our building. Oh and uh
Brooks Treho trio, you're out. And so this is for
the Bega ballers. Jacob Russell is in. Jacob Russell, welcome
to the league. Maybe maybe want to draw for a
four time. I don't know. Let's go to my division.
Cooper Johnson, you're in. Let's see do we have any Oh? Yep,

(34:14):
Kathy Mason, thanks for playing. You are officially out. You
were in and now you are out. You've seen the
latest complaint, right, No, it's what got me fired up.
Kelly Jones, Kelly Jones, you're in. Go ahead, what's the latest.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
No, they just just were unaware of taxes. They didn't
know that there were taxes.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Oh oh, Andrew Clinton, Bill's illegitimate son is now out.
Oh man, I wanted to hear. I want to. I
was hoping Monica would come to some of his games. See,
I bet you he didn't even know he was ever
drawn because we went hard. Dylan Melton, Dylan Milton, you
are in Lunch's Division. There we go. Congratulations. It's pretty embarrassing.

(35:00):
We gotta draw four three different times.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yes see, it's got to end after this. We can't
keep doing this every episode.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Batter's Box Division. Everybody is paid. That division is full.
Because I was listening to our podcast and you you
punked me.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
You gave us an okie doke like we're gonna draw
on Wednesday, and I was like, I was like, huh,
and you could just tell him my voice. I was like, dude,
it ruins the podcast, and as a listener, I was like,
dang it, they're gonna draw. What a wasted episode, And
then we ended up hammering him with a waitress story.
Ended up just absolutely bringing it and it was a
phenomenal episode. And I was like, oh all because we

(35:33):
didn't draw, so whatever, this is garbage that just happened.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
It needs to be just putting an end to it. Yeah,
and that hopefully that's it. Hopefully everybody pays and on Wednesday,
we don't have to draw more names. Did you have
anything you want to talk about from this weekend? Man? Oh? Man? No? Man?
Did you want to talk about how you could have
won seven billion dollars?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Oh? Justin I did want to say that he was good.
He did want to come to town for my birthday,
but he can only come for a holiday, and it
works out because it's Labor Day. Yeah, but I just
felt I turned it down.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
I was, I just can't.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
It's gonna be on the back end of some other stuff.
I was like, I can't do it. So he's gonna
come for Valentine's Day. He's gonna come. That's a super
Bowl or it's got to be a holiday he only gets.
He doesn't have any PTO. So I said i'll see
you that, I'll see you Christmas. I have no idea,
but he can only do Holidays. And I was like
I had to turn Justin down. It was just too

(36:29):
much all at the same time.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Yeah, it's a lot, Yeah, it's a lot. But that
Cardinals guy did he made his major league debut. Did
you see this? Yeah? I did. In every other human
being cold blooded, I saw that if you bet ten
dollars you'd have won like seven billion.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
That he'd get three home runs. Well, the next day
didn't get a hit. Well, I don't care because I
tried to get one hit on beat the streak and.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
He couldn't even get a hit. Well, you're an idiot.
If you went for someone that had three bombs in
their major league debut, you don't need the emotional come
down was gonna be unbelievable the next day. That is
the craziest thing I've ever seen. It takes to my dad.
Guess his name was Bayaz.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Yeah, And I was like, great, Tigers have the worst
Bayas now because they have that hobby.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Oh dude, you guys signed them from the Cubs for
like five hundred million dollars. Dude, Oh my god. Let
me tell you what what the Cubs did great. The
Cubs won the World Series, and a couple of years
later all their players were up Rizzo, Chris Bryant, Hobby Bayaz,
And we could have done what a lot of teams do,

(37:34):
sign them because they won you a World Series, they
won you an NBA title. You could have paid them
the hundreds of millions of dollars. But we said, now,
we're going to pass on you. We're gonna pass on you,
and we're gonna pass on you. The Rockies signed Chris Bryant.
He hasn't played. He hasn't played in like three years,
and I don't know if he even cares to play.

(37:56):
I know he's hurt, quote unquote, but how hurt is he?
Is he really working hard to get back or is
he like, man, I made three hundred million dollars, I'm good.
And Hobby Bayas signed for like three hundred million dollars,
and god, he's been awful. He was pretty good last year.
I don't know what he's doing this year. But wow,
we dodged bullets by not signing those dudes. Yeah, Kyle

(38:21):
Tucker wanted so much money. We went with breakman Kyle
Tucker signs with the Dodgers. He's been god awful, god awful.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
So I'm saying, somebody's gotta win it besides the Dodgers
this year. Somebody please, for the love of God, all right,
we gotta go man.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Happy Monday, guys. Yeah. I was wondering about food because
Scuba was offering free tickets. Yeah, and I said I
couldn't go. No one else even replied to him. I
wanted to go, really, but Bazer said, they're political. What
I don't know. I have no idea anything about foo.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
I'm just being funny, but I don't she get. I
didn't know if it was gonna political. I didn't know
if there would be like protests outside of it.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Oh yeah, you didn't want to get involved in that. Yeah,
totally understand. Totally understand ray burning flags and all sorts
of stuff. I didn't see any of that. When I
dropped the cousin off and his kid, man, it was great.
It was a nice weekend. It was good to see
my cousin, probably seeing him twice in the last fifteen years.
Billy's in Hawaii. Side note, Oh, my cousin just got

(39:27):
back from Hawaii.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
And a hurricane just hit. Oh but it was the
big Island. Billy's in Maui, And so Billy's gets two
inches of rain. The place that got the hurricane gets
two feet of rain. Miss Billy by ninety miles. Oh
so it's just like two cities in Florida basically.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
And he said he had to one of his places
lost electricity. So he's booking at another hotel. But he's good.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
But hurricane hits Hawaii. When Billy's there, he brings the
rain man, all right, we're out. Have a good Monday. Yeah.
Get these stanchions up from these waves. I gotta get
these waves out, man, I gotta keep these waves out.
We got a buck another hotel. See, I'll call see
if they got stanchions. Get these stanchions up. Ah. Oh man,

(40:11):
maybe that was too much MESSI talk, man, I didn't
really talk about anything else. That was a great weekend.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
I knew you were gonna talk about it. So I
was like, I gotta text him. How do I watch this?
What channel is it on?

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Did you notice MESSI do anything? No?

Speaker 2 (40:23):
And the one time was the penalty kick the PK
here we go, and he did a little dribbler that
your kid would have kicked, like, where's.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
The golden boot? I wanted to see him bend it
like Messi. It didn't do anything. There was one in
the second half. He took a free kick outside the box.
He'd been it like Messi missed it by an did
we all thought? We oh, the whole crowd because we
thought it was in. Thought you weren't sharing. No, I
was glad, like I thought it went in and it
was so close. Tell me this why when he did

(40:52):
the penalty kick it got blocked? Why did their gold
get disallowed because that big box, the eighteen yard box. Yeah,
not allowed to come into the box until Messi has
touched the ball and that guy had crossed the line
before Messi touched the ball. Got it, So this will
so even if Messi would have made it, no goal,
what an idiot? Yeah geez, but it didn't matter because

(41:15):
our goal is so freaking good. I could have blocked that.
Oh man, I'm tired. Let's go
