Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're live.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
We're live live.
Speaker 1 (00:02):
Oh man. And it's good to see you. What a weekend.
I mean, we got so much to talk about so much.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
The sore losers convention in downtown Nashville, MLK weekend, right
around a hundred days, give or take away presented by
Freeland Chevrolet. Thanks boys for that countdown clicker.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
And Saturday night, we got the pudge shack lined up.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Whoa, what'd you say?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
The putt shack lined up.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Just sound like you said something else. No, no, I
don't do that.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
I don't use those foul language words. I don't do that.
I'm not like an NFL player or a college player.
I am here to celebrate the nation.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Some of them didn't.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
No, I'm here to celebrate the nation. Got it.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah. The podcast last week, guys, I said why I
don't like telling stories. Baser said my storytelling with Hermosa Beach,
Huntington Beach. Where did we go?
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Shreveport Beach.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Charleston Beach. No.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Del Mar Beach.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Nope. Huntington Beach.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Dana Point.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
You went to Rockport Beach. Nope. You went.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
It was one word.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
DuPort.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Newport.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Newport. Good. Well done, boys. That's how you do it.
We are a professional podcast. We make no money doing this,
but we enjoy it. And those are the reasons we
are not in the top 20. If we could remember
Newport Beach off the top, I think we'd be in
the top podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Sometimes I come in here foggy, and I do like
to just challenge my brain. But yeah, she said Wednesday's
episode of Newport was better than Vegas's Friday episode.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay. So it's good to have her listening, man. We
can use the downloads. We definitely had bangers last week.
We are going to have a banger today because Ray
and I, we hit the local Muni. We hit the
local Muni for 18 holes of golf. You heard me right.
Ray didn't leave after nine. Ray stayed for all 18.
(02:13):
And I can't wait to go hole by hole by
stroke by stroke this entire pod. I was so excited.
I already posted the picture. I know you did. You
ruined the excitement. You ruined the big reveal. We're like, oh,
we'll post that next week. And boom, right when he
(02:33):
gets home from the golf course, Ray posts the picture.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
And I still owe you guys the pictures from Newport
and Vegas. They're obviously going to be the secondary pictures.
I want to save the good pictures for my personal
account with Bayzer, but you guys can get some of
the trash photos.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Oh, we really appreciate that. Thank you for letting us
be second fiddle, man. We're going to do it live.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
We are the one, two, three, Soar Losers.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
What up, everybody? I am Lunchbox. I know the most
about sports, so I'll give you the sports facts, my
sports opinions, because I'm pretty much a sports genius.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Y'all, it is Cizan from the north, alpha male, live
on the north side of Nashville with Bazer, two acres,
two kids at Vanderbilt. Justin's supposed to be checking on him,
but he is now in Michigan. He moved. Sometimes he
will take a dinghy on gun Lake. And there's also
a casino in the gun Lake area that he goes to.
Although I don't believe he has been there recently due to, uh,
(03:35):
getting cleaned out.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Financial constraints coach over to you, man. I'm going to
tell you what we, we, we decided that let's do
the podcast on Thursday last week. So we could go
golf on Friday. I hit up Ray and I said, Hey,
does 10 40 work for you? And he said, yeah,
works for me. And so I'm like, great. So we
(03:56):
get done with work and we head over to the
course and And Ray, of course, is there before I am.
He's there early. I get there 10 minutes before the
tee time. I roll in at 1030, and I look
out there, and there's this guy on the putting green
with a weird stance where he's got his arm dangling,
his right arm dangling. I'm like, okay, whatever. And I look,
(04:20):
and I'm like, is that Ray? Is it 93 degrees out,
and Ray is wearing pants? Man, what an idiot, but
all right, let's play some golf. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
The pants was a bad choice. Knew that. I don't know.
The second I got out of my car, I just
thought it had been a hundred and it was going
to be in the eighties. So I was like, you know,
guys always looked so terrible with their legs showing. So
I'm like, anytime you get away with pants on the
golf course, do it. Cause you just look corny unless
you're like six, six. So I did it and it
was just, just a bat and they were black.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
They were black. I mean, they were black as black
can get. And I was like, that has to be miserable. But, hey, man,
whatever you want to do. Now, in golf carts, you
can get away with it because you get the breeze.
You're humping 20 miles an hour. So you kind of
air out a little bit hole by hole. Okay. And so,
you know, the guy in the clubhouse is like, hey,
you guys are good to go. We roll up to
the first tee and there's three guys sitting there. And
(05:15):
there's these two older gentlemen and they're like, hey, well,
I think they got you paired up with this single
right here. And I was like, well, what time is
your tee time, Ron? And he goes, oh, we don't
have a tee time. They're just working us in. I said, well,
there's three of us. Why don't you pair up with
the single? That way two threes are better than a
four and a two. And he was like, that is
(05:38):
so appreciated, man. That is so appreciated. And I was like,
go ahead and hit him straight, Ron.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
And on the spot, dude, genius on your part. Just
to immediately think that three threes faster than four twos.
If you guys aren't golfers, it really does make a difference.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Really does. And I figure if you do a 4-2,
the 2 is just going to be waiting the whole day.
So you might as well just go 3-3. And that way,
Ray didn't have to ride with a random dude.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
And yeah, they apparently didn't have a tee time. And
the guy said they're just floaters. And in my course,
we don't have floaters. So I was curious on that
as well.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Well, that means that they go there a lot. They
know him in the clubhouse. Like, hey, man, Ron, we'll
get you in whenever.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Are we just going to keep calling this guy Ron
the whole pod?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, here's the thing, guys. He had a bag. He
had his golf bag. And it said Ron and whatever
his last name was right there on the golf bag
in big lettering.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Emblazoned.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
And here's the funny part is, it took until hole
12 for us to roll up on them for Ray
to see Ron on his bag. And he finally goes, oh,
now I get why you're calling him Ron. Like, if
we could see him shoot, we'd be like, nice shot, Ron.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Because I started calling him Nick Saban because he was
wearing the Nick Saban hat.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
He was wearing the Nick Saban hat.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
And I assumed it was some stupid movie you guys watch.
There's so many Netflix movies and shows. I was like, okay,
it must be a reference to Breaking Bad or something.
And I'm like, I don't know why they're not saying
Nick Saban because he looked exactly like Nick Saban, but
they're going to go with Ron. That's cool.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So, hole 12. I pull up to his stupid bag
and it says, Ron, club champion. Cool, Ron. It's a muni.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Nobody cares, Ron.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
But I will say, Ron was dedicated like you were.
He was in pants.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, see, and he also did the black pants. And
so I know Ron was probably thinking the same thing
as me. Pants just weren't the choice that day.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
I think Ron is one of those golfers that he
wears pants every time he golfs.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
I was looking around. It was 99% people in shorts.
The 1% was me and Ron. That's it.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
And I think you guys see him do it on
the PGA Tour. So you think, oh, if they wear pants,
I should wear pants. I'll be classy like them.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Never. It's just tough to pull off as a guy.
The sandals and shorts on a golf course. But sandals
don't look good on guys. And I mean, the shorts thing, dude.
Guys look so terrible in shorts.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I've never thought about me looking bad in shorts in
my life.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
But outside of a golf course, guys can get away
with it. But on a golf course, we all look
so corny in shorts. Pants are just a much cleaner look.
And then you can wear the tucked in. The polo
with shorts looks so dumb.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Ray, I never thought about that. I really had never
thought of it. But anyway, so I mean, nothing really
extraordinary happened, right, in golf. Like the first five holes,
nothing really crazy. We just golfed, right? Nothing crazy. Yeah,
I was trying to get the cobwebs out, but yeah. No,
but your swing was good. Ray was, I mean, he
hadn't played in what, how many months?
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Well, I play on the back patio every day. But again,
that's just chipping 40 yards with a Nerf ball. which
is equivalent to 90 yards on the course. So does
it translate? It does a little bit because my swing
was there.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah, it actually really was. So then we're on hole
12 or 13, and Ray has hit his third shot
over the green, and he's kind of on the fringe,
on a hill, and he lines it up. He gets
out that chipper. He chips it. It's rolling.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
We're about 40 yards, right?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Oh, 40 yards. It's rolling. It's rolling. It's rolling.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
And hole in one.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
No, not hole in one, but hole in four. And
what does Ray do? Boom, boom, boom. He booms three times.
Very loud. And there's a par three right behind the green.
And some guy goes, nice boom.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
He goes really happy for you.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Thanks for the boom. And Ray's like, oh God, oh God.
And let's be honest. There was two guys in that
foursome that looked like football players.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Vandy football players.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
They were massive human beings. So at that point, you
had to decide, are you going to mouth back, or
are we just going to put our tail between our
legs and walk away? We put our tail between our
legs and walked away. Because my whole thing is.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Well, I mean, I talked into my breath, but... Well, yeah,
what'd you say? I was like... I just got a
40 yard hole in one. You mother. I was like, yeah,
literally go yourself. But I just like whispered it to myself.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Yeah. And then he, I mean, I'm assuming that he
hit his par three into the water that he chunked it,
dunked it into the little pond right there.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Cause it was during their backswing. But when you're golfing,
I didn't know it was their backswing. They didn't know
I was chipping by me celebrating. They had to have
known that was a huge shot. And if they didn't
realize that, then that's on them. But, I mean, a
40-yard chip-in is pretty cool on the golf course.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
It's pretty rare and pretty freaking awesome, especially for us
amateurs that aren't that good. So, yes, it's a huge moment.
Of course you're going to boom, boom, boom.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
At least I stopped at three.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Right.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
What if I just kept going to ten?
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I hit.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Him with 10 booms.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I thought the third one was a little excessive. I
was like, I probably should have just stuck to one.
I laughed out loud. I laughed out loud. And then
I'm like, okay, dude, you hit a bad shot, right?
Because you got three booms in your backswing. You are
not playing in a tournament. That is when you look
at your boys and they're all like, yeah, redo that, man.
(11:46):
You can redo your shot. Yes, we don't play mulligans,
quote unquote, but that, okay, you're not playing in a tournament, dude.
You're not going to get fined a million dollars. You're
not going to get disqualified. tee it up, hit it
again because someone screamed in your back swing.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Guys, there's not a PGA Tour guy out there. So,
I mean, if somebody honks in your back swing, I
don't know if a bird just randomly drops some from
the sky, that's worth a reshot. There are things where
you can just look at your boys and be like, hey,
I can do a reshot, right? That guy just boomed
three times in my back swing.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Like there's ways around it. You don't have to then
be like, well, his booms are the reason I just
hit it into this chain link fence. And then I
was wondering, were they being sarcastic or were they actually
supportive of my shot?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
After about a minute and a half, Ray goes, maybe
that was a positive thanks for the boom.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I thought, thanks for that. It actually shows us out
here at Immuni that those shots are possible.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
And that is absolutely not accurate.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
There's no way.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
So then that was it for Ray, guys. We're on
hole 13 and he can't focus the rest of the round.
Are they coming? Oh, God, they're coming. There they are again. Oh,
my God. Oh, my God. They're coming.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
It's one of those courses.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
No, no, right. They're just playing the hole over there.
They're just playing the par five. Right.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
But the whole swing back and forth a little bit.
So you are going to run into these dudes a
couple more times.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Correct. You're going to intertwine with them. You're going to
cross paths. And that's all Ray could think about the
rest of the rounds. Like, oh, here they come. Oh,
my God. Oh. Of course, I'm going to see them
the rest of the round. Okay. And we're waiting on
the 18th tee box because Ron and company, you know,
it was a little bit slow playing. And we roll
up and Ray's like, oh, my God, if we don't
(13:38):
get out of here soon, those guys, they're going to
be up right behind us. We're going to see those guys.
All right. And we finish 18. He's like, all right, guys,
I got to go. I got to get out of
the parking lot because those guys are going to come
right after us.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Well, Ron liked his playing partner so much he had
to get his number.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
So then that is one thing we notice about Ron.
Ron had his buddy that he was playing with in
the cart. They were cart buddies. They came together. They
didn't leave together because Ron broke up with him for
the random single that he got paired up with. He
loved the guy he was playing with.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Because his other buddy was in a t-shirt and gym
shorts and wasn't as good. But the guy he got
paired with that we gave him, so we pretty much
match made him on the golf course, he loved him.
The guy hit perfectly straight, and Ron's like, I'm a
club champion, but I got to get this guy's phone number.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Oh, the dude was hitting irons off the tee box
every freaking time. It was like, okay, hero ball. I
don't know how you do that, but yeah. I'm using
driver just to get it barely 200 yards. This is
whacking iron.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
And any time you get a dude's number on the
golf course, they must have hit it off.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
They must have been in love because they didn't get
like they didn't go at the 18th green. They shook hands.
They didn't exchange numbers. Then Ron waited till he got
away from his buddy in the T-shirt and shorts. and
got in his own car, drove through the parking lot
looking for his buddy that was the random single, throws
(15:07):
it in park in the middle of the drive, jumps
out and is like, man, I really loved playing with you.
Can I get your number? I was like, wow.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
I'm glad you pointed it out. Lunch is like I
was driving by my golf cart, and you're pointing both
your fingers, and I look over there. It's a straight
dude-on-dude getting numbers. Ron, you left us with a hilarious final.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Moment at the Muni. Oh, man. And it was just great.
It was great to have Ray out at the golf course.
And that was it. There was nothing crazy. I mean,
I almost, I was five feet or 10 feet away
from a hole in one. You were 10 feet away
from a hole in one.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
And I said before, and I go, man, you guys
ever got a hole in one before? No, no, no, no.
I mean, I almost called Babe Ruth called my shot.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
And here's the thing. And then Ray said, I said,
I don't think I'll ever get one. And Ray was like,
you don't think in all the years you're going to
play golf that you're ever going to get a hole
in one.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
And I said, no, because you think about it. We're
not playing at PGA courses. There are a lot of
muni type par three holes that we're hitting at five
and 10 feet away. And over the next 50 years, we're,
All those par threes, you're not going to get it
in one of them?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Well, here's the thing, Ray. So far, it's been 45 years,
and I haven't got a one of them.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Well, that hole, that was one you really, are you
lining up taking all the time in the world? Cause
this is the chance you can get your first ever
hole in one par fours. I don't give a crap.
I just pull up the driver. Let's hit it as
hard as we can. Par five.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Cool. Here we go.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Let's go 500 yards. Par three is where I lock in.
Cause this is the one chance you could get that
elusive hole in one.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
I mean, I do everything I can. I look at
the hole. I'm like, all right, I'm going to aim
at that. Here we go. Can I tell which way
the green is going to roll? If I hit it
on the green, And then I hit it 50 yards. So,
I just don't believe in my hearts of hearts that
I'm ever going to get a hole-in-one. I would love to.
I mean, it would be the greatest joy of my
life to get a hole-in-one. But I just don't think
(17:18):
it's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
The Nelk boys, you guys know them. They're all a
popular group. Probably the truckers, you guys know. You guys
watch Nelk while you're lizarding. But they'll do it where
they camp out for four days and try to get
a hole-in-one. And that's what it takes them. Four days.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Same hole.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Par 3. and there'll be like five guys.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
See, that doesn't count. No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Oh, I wouldn't say it counts.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
I wouldn't say it. Like, if that's the only hole-in-one
they've ever got, and then they have a conversation a
month later with some stranger, and he's like, you ever
got a hole-in-one? Well, actually, I have. No, no, you haven't.
You haven't. If you're just playing that hole over and
over again, it's not a hole-in-one.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
And the reason I say you'll get a hole-in-one, and
I also now think that I can get a hole-in-one
in my lifetime, because one of the guys, he's probably
our level of play. Kyle, he's the owner in Elk.
He said he was out there. So at first they
had the hole in the very middle of the green
on a par three. He said he was out there
just dinking around, seeing where the mat was going to be.
And he accidentally got a hole in one, just setting
up the cameras and stuff. And so then they moved
(18:15):
the hole right one foot from a bunker. So you
had no place to really place it. Well, then they
moved at a different angle. They kept the hole the same,
but they moved up like 20 yards. So they had
a better angle at it. But he said he just
puttering around, he accidentally got a hole in one before
the live stream even hit.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
He's like, well, got to do something different with the hole.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
But it's easier if you take a million shots at
the hole. I mean, when you're in the middle of
a round and you only got one shot at that
hole that day, very unlikely. But hey, man, great round
of golf.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
I thought it was gonna be something different, man.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (18:53):
I told Baser before I went, I was like, oh,
here we go. Lunch texted me to go golfing. I
was like, I think he's going to quit the podcast.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
What?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
I was like, oh, I'll tell you when I get home.
He hasn't hit me to go golf in like eight months.
I was like, get ready. And I came home, and
she's like, did he quit? And I was like, no,
it was great. We played golf. It was fun. I
guess he just wanted to play golf.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Hold on.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Hold on.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Hold on. We're going to take a break. We're going
to take a break, and we'll be right back. So
when I sent that text, you literally went to, I'm
going to quit the pod?
Speaker 2 (19:32):
No, not when you sent the text. The text was,
you guys want to golf? And I was like, yeah,
I'm down to golf. And then I got to thinking
about it. Why would he be having us all golf
on a Friday together? He hasn't. I haven't asked you
just because I live different from you now.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Al.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Wise, I work different hours. So I'm tired when I
get off. You have a little bit more energy, stuff
like that. You have kids. I don't have kids. So
it just hasn't worked out. We just don't golf anymore.
And so it's been eight months. And then I just
get a text. Hey, do you guys want to golf?
And I was like, the way that you had structured
it and invited certain people, I thought, He has an announcement.
(20:12):
And later, and I told Baser, I go, hey, now
that I've been thinking about it a little bit more,
I think lunch is going to tell us something. It's
kind of struck me weird, I think. I'll let you
know when I come home. So I walked in the
door and she goes, well, did he quit? I was like, no, no.
We just ate pork missiles and drank Gatorades and played golf.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
So you didn't like immediately when you got in your
car after the round caller and be like, hey, all good.
Nothing going on, nothing fishy.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Well, I didn't say it was 100%, but I said
usually when guys use golf as a thing, they're trying
to say something else to the boys. Kind of like
when you guys had a kid, you invited us to
dinner one time, and I was like, oh, yeah, we're
going to a movie. And you're like, well, go to
the movie and then come to dinner. And I was like, well,
(20:56):
at the movie, we're going to eat popcorn and stuff.
We'll probably be a little full. And you're like, doesn't matter.
Just still come to dinner. It's so good. You won't
even be full from popcorn.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
I was like, what?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Are they going to announce something? Actually, I had no
idea you guys were going to announce something.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
That's interesting. That is so, I mean, that's a bad look.
Then if me inviting you to play golf sends the
wrong signal, that means it's been too long.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
And just the people you pulled in.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
I was like, so did you text Justin and be like, Hey,
I think the pod's ending, man.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
No, me and Justin were on bad terms better now.
But yeah, I thought at, at that point I was like, dang,
he's quitting the pod and the big show.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Sheesh. Wow. No, man. I mean, I'm here for the
long haul. There was no plans of quitting. There's no
plans of quitting. That is not even on my horizon
on the plateau anything. Like, I was just trying to say,
you know, I always go golf by myself because I
don't know when I can golf. Like, I never... Especially
(21:56):
with these city courses, these munis, it's impossible to get
a tee time. But now that they've gone to online booking,
they can't just lie to you and say, oh, it's
full up. Oh, there's no room. They say that every
time when you would call. But now that there's tee
times online, we can kind of plan, hey, there's a
(22:16):
tee time available right when we're getting off work. Do
we want to swing over to the course? It's 10
minutes from here and we go golf. That was my thinking.
is that now I can kind of plan ahead instead
of just willy-nilly going to the golf course because they
don't have tee times online.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
So some of these courses you've been going to, you
show up and don't know about the tee times?
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Like 100% of them until the last month they started
having tee times online. Mine's been online. Yeah, yours is different.
This is, I'm talking just Muni, Nashville, Metropolitan, Golf. Got it. Like,
all those were never online, and every time you would
call them.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
They can lie to you.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
They just lie to you and say, ah, we don't
have anything until 3 o'clock. It's like, really? And it
turns out, they're full of crap.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
They want the good old boys out there drinking some beers,
eating some bologna pork missiles.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yeah, they want the same groups that are out there
every single Tuesday, every single Wednesday. when in reality they
have plenty of tee times because if they were all
full up i wouldn't be able to get a friday
at 10 40 on a wednesday night when i realized
hey let's play some golf they would have been booked.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Out guys you gotta love munis too we go in
after nine holes it's typical where you go into the
clubhouse and you get some food go to the bathroom
real quick oh yeah and we go in there and
i guess the guy was just trying to be cool
but he goes you guys tipping And I thought he
was talking about tipping back because I got a Celsius.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
See, I thought he meant, are you going to give
me a tip?
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I'm like, I mean, a Celsius obviously isn't alcoholic. And
I'm like, no, no, not tipping, just an energy drink.
But I guess he was talking about playing the blue tips.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Yeah, he thought, are you playing from the farthest tees?
That's a new term.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
And then on the grill. It definitely wasn't a T-bone,
but it didn't look like a hamburger. So I was
just being funny. You got to love munis, okay? They're
obviously a step down from your private courses. And I go, oh,
what do you guys got back there? Some T-bones? And
he goes, no, it's fried balodi.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Who ordered a fried balodi sandwich at 11 a.m.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
On a Friday? That is disgusting. And I'm like, oh, awesome. No,
we're not tipping. Enjoy your porky.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Hey, are you guys heading to the back now? Yep.
Let me tell you, man, the back is really hard.
It's really hard. I mean, he acts like it's the
Masters on Sunday. I'm like, dude, I've played a golf
course before. I mean, it did kind of take my
lunch on that on Friday. The back did take my,
you know, I shot really bad on the back, but
that's okay.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
But he wasn't as hard as he acted like it was.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
No, I agree with that. Okay. I don't think it
was as hard as he thought it was, but. He
acted like we weren't going to be able to get
anything going.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
And I didn't even tell you guys that same guy,
when I was chipping, he goes, I go, hey, where's
the chipping area? At my course, it's kind of the
same as the putting.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
And I was like, I don't want to chip where
you guys have made it putting, so it's like perfectly smooth.
He's like, oh, oh, thank you for asking. Chipping's actually,
you just walk through that fence. It's just right over there.
And he goes, but I wouldn't work on that if
I was you. I'd work on the putting. I was like, huh?
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
And he goes. Chipping will be fine out there. It's
the putting that's really going to get you on this course.
He's giving me recommendations on what to practice.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Actually, I'm going to disagree with it.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Hey, can I give you a nice big glass of
shut the hell up? Who are you, my caddy?
Speaker 1 (25:45):
How do you know what I need to work on?
Maybe I'm one putt everything, but chipping is hard. And
here's the thing. If you can chip it really close
to the hole, guess what? It makes your putts a
lot easier. True. I mean, that's simple math. Because that's
my problem is sometimes I chip it, and it's like, oh, damn,
(26:05):
I'm farther away now than before I chipped it.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
I do tell you, man, now every time I get
in a golf cart, I'm paranoid because of you.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
I'm like, might as well spin the wheel a little bit,
make sure this thing moves, and one of the wheels
isn't messed up.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yep. It's scary. So at what point in the round
I'm still stuck up on this. Sorry. This is not
where I plan to go with this talk. At what
point in the round did you realize it was just golf?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Coach, it's not like I was thinking about it every hole. Man,
par four wind coming out of the south. Hey, I
wonder if he's going to bring up some of those
things he's wanting to talk about. Oh, it's par three,
150 yards.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
I wonder if he's going to bring up the last
15 years of his career. No, dude, it wasn't every
hole I was gauging it. I just thought it seemed
like the perfect setup for you to want to talk
about something.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
And you never talked about anything for 18 holes.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
But it actually reminded me when I walked in the
door and Baser goes, what happened? I mean, did he quit?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
No, he didn't.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Actually, we just played golf the whole time and tipped.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
That's funny, dude. That's funny.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
You can't just hit up random people after months and months.
It'd be like me. Who would be the comparison? Me
and Bones. If I texted Bones, hey man, can we
play at your private course on Saturday? That would be
just random of me. So obviously I need to talk
to him about something. You inviting me to a muni
that anybody can get into. Seems like you want to
(27:50):
talk to me about something.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Yeah. I mean, that's, I'm sorry to like put that
scare into you next time. I'll be like, Hey Ray,
you want to play golf? It has nothing to do
with me quitting. I have nothing to tell you. I
just want to know if you want to swing the
sticks and hit some balls. All right, man.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
That's the biggest weekend of NFL back, and we talk golf.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Well, I'm going to tell you something else. I mean,
you had a stressful day on Friday. My dad had
a stressful day on Friday. It was Grandparents Day at
the elementary school.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I was going to say, on what calendar?
Speaker 1 (28:26):
So he was going to Batter's Box's kids' school. We'll
celebrate any day. And so we got them pajamas. Are
you hitting it?
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Batter's Box?
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yeah, I thought that's what you're doing. What up, everybody?
It's Batter's Box here. So we got my parents pajamas
with all the grandkids' faces on them. So Grandpa's going
to Grandparents' Day, so he's like, man, I'm going to
rock these pajamas. And so he rocks the pajamas, right?
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Pants and top?
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Pants and top. I mean, faces everywhere. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Got to love parents when they're retired. Never is he
going to rock that construction site.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
And he's running a little late, so he's getting a
little lead footy. And he gets pulled over in a
school zone. Boop, boop. Boop, boop. The boop. And the
cop comes up and looks at him and is like.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
He tried to run?
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Nah, he didn't try to run. But, I mean, he's
got these pajamas with faces all over. And the cop's like,
what the hell's going on here? And the cop goes,
are you going to work right now on those? And
he's like. no. And he goes, so what, Can you
explain the outfit to me?
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Copper, have you been to an airport? That's how everybody
dresses nowadays.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
And he goes, oh, it's just grandparents day at my
grandson's elementary school. I'm just heading over there. And he goes, oh, okay.
I can see that. Can I see your driver's license?
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Affleisure.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
And that's when my sister drives by with her kids like, hey,
I think that's grandpa pulled over by the police.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
He's cuffed in a pajama onesie.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Could you imagine? He gets thrown in the big house
and he's got the pajamas on with all the faces.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Man, if the paint crew could see him now.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
And so the cop says, hey, can I see your
driver's license? And my dad says. Oh, man, I don't
have a driver's license.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
He's like, what do you mean? He's like, oh, I
just got an ID. He goes, I haven't had a
driver's license for a long time.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
So then it's like, oh, my.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
He's in jail.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
It's like, oh, he's about to miss grandparents day. He's
going to the big house with the freaking jammies on.
And people are going to be like, what are you
in for? I was trying to go see my grandkid
on Grandparents Day, speeding in a school zone. Then I
didn't have a driver's license. The cop's like, I'll be
right back. Did your dad ever think about running? I
(31:08):
don't know. I haven't asked him about if he thought
about running, but I don't think so because he was
right by my sister's. I guess he could have pulled
into my sister's neighborhood, jumped into her house and hid there,
but I think they would have tracked him down. He's
not very fleet of foot. He's not quick on the
feet anymore.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
What was he driving?
Speaker 1 (31:24):
His truck.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Is it fast?
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Yeah. Oh.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
It's got a little vroom, vroom. But a cop came back, goes,
all right, man, I'm just going to give you a
ticket for speeding in a school zone. Make sure you
go and get that driver's license next time, all right? Sheesh!
And he was on his way to grandparents' day.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
With an ID only?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
With an ID only. I mean, he flew to his
high school reunion, 40th high school reunion, maybe 50th. I
don't even, it had to be 50th. He didn't even
have an ID then. You know how he got through TSA?
Speaker 2 (32:00):
McDonald's. Costco card. BJ's card. Culver's punch card.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
He had his high school ID.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
You can fly with that?
Speaker 1 (32:17):
I guess so. My mom's like, you're not going to
be able to get on the plane. He goes, oh,
it'll work. It'll work.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Cops like, well, this is a blast from the past. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
So you thought you had a stressful day. Graham's had
a stressful day. And you know who else had a
stressful day? The Texas Longhorns. We'll talk about it right
after this.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Where were you when?
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Dude, I got a question.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Ohio State completed the biggest collapse since Urban Meyer at
a bar on a barstool. When he started playing with
that girl's pant loop.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
I'm going to tell you what. I didn't get to
watch the game live, right?
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Oh, dude. That's got to be appointment watching.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Well, it was appointment watching, but here's the problem. Nashville
SC was playing Miami FC. We were playing messy down
in Miami, and my wife had mentioned it to the
kids earlier in the day, so they were all about
wanting to watch the soccer game.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
On Apple?
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, Apple +. And so I was like, all right.
So we watched the first five minutes where UT fumbled
the ball, and then Ohio State kicks a field goal,
and then we ate dinner, and then we sat down
for the soccer game. So I left my phone and
everything in the other room, recorded the game, had no
(33:37):
idea what was going on. Nothing. And Miami... Or Nashville scores, 1-0,
then Miami ties at 1-1, Miami goes up 2-1, and
we're like, four minutes to go, goal! Nashville, we steal
a point from in Miami.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
And it was a tie, I thought.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah, so we get one point. You get three points
for a win, one point for a tie.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, but they get it, 1.2.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Awesome. Yes. But we were looking at losing three points.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Got it.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
It was huge. Understood. So... Then everybody's going to bed.
Kids go to bed. Wife's like, I'm going to bed.
I'm like, you're going to stay up and watch the
Longhorns with me? She's like, no, I can't. I'm too tired.
All right, cool. And so she goes to bed and
I sit down and I start watching it. And I mean,
I'm like, this Texas team is dog crap.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
It was domination.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
I mean, Ohio State. offensive line was just shoving Texas
back and they were running the ball for five, six
yards of carry. And then they just, Hey, Jeremiah Smith's
wide open, wide open, wide open. And yes, Texas had
some bad luck, the fumble, the throw to that guy
where he bounces it up and it That was.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
One in a million.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
One in a million. One in a freaking million.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
40-yard chip.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
And then.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Boom! Boom! And then the one guy drops the touchdown.
But also, Arch Manning missed so many wide-open throws in
that first half. I was like, this guy's good. Like,
he would airmail everything.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
He was good late.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Then the second half, I... Did Ohio State stop trying
to run the ball and just forcing it to Jerem?
What happened?
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Yeah, I don't know really the plot. All I know
is it was like 23-3, started driving the golf cart around,
seeing the neighbors, playing music. Would swing back by, it'd
be 23-10, 23-17. Next thing you know, it's 24-23. How
the heck did that happen? Did you watch the whole game?
In and out, but I mean, I had it on,
(35:37):
and I mean, I was pretty locked in with the comeback.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
I watched the entire thing, and all of a sudden,
Arch Manning got hit a couple times, and it's like
it woke him up. He started whack, whack, whack. I mean,
he started throwing darts.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
I just thought Ohio State had it because I thought
they could do something with the bleed the clock.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Right. I thought they stopped running the ball. They stopped
running it at six yards a carry. I was like, oh,
this is weird. Why are they just throwing it every time?
Very strange. And then Texas just started, bah, bah, bah, bah.
It was unreal.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
And then the missed field goal. I mean, that would
have sealed the game.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Huge.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Because that's two scores then.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Huge. That was huge. But my question is, and maybe
it was just my TV. Did the color keep going out?
Speaker 2 (36:25):
See, I had it on the one thing. Was it
on Fox?
Speaker 1 (36:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
I had it on the advanced thing where it's 4K.
So 4K is actually a hue darker. So it was
kind of dim already.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Okay. Whenever they would show like a replay behind the
quarterback or whatever, like them in the huddle, it would
be the perfect color. But then when they went to
the side, the view where you see the side, it
was gray. The field was gray. And Ohio State looked
like they blended in with the field. And maybe it
was just my TV. And I couldn't go online and look.
(37:02):
Because I didn't want to know the score. But I
was like, what is going on? Why is it doing this?
And so I need to know if it was just
my TV or if this was doing it for everybody.
It was driving me nuts. Like they would show the play.
Like you're looking at the like sideways. All right, cool.
They're gray. And then they would go out and they
(37:23):
would show behind. Like when they're in the huddle, all
the colors. Perfect. Orange is bright. The burnt orange, the
Ohio state. What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (37:31):
I'm pulling up my picture. I took a picture of it.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Yeah, please show me.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
This is the color it was.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Let me see. Well, there it is. Perfect color. No,
that's perfect color. Cause that's not during the play.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
During the plays, the field was gray and it was
driving me insane. I was like, why is it doing this?
And I'll post a picture later today and I'll show
you what I'm talking about. I don't understand why it
was doing it. And I was like, can we get
our crap together?
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Well, Laura Rutledge had to come out and apologize. She said,
I am so sorry. ESPN technical difficulties. I don't really
know what they were, but just so sorry guys. And
we're like, what, what is she even talking about? Maybe
she was apologizing for the gray hue.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Is that what it was?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
I don't know. But then Holly Roe got blown off.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Oh, dude.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Laura Rutledge got blown.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Holly Roe was so pissed off.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
The audio won't be good. I mean, Sark's like, he goes.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
He goes, horns up. Fuck them. Fuck them. I'm out
of here. And she's like, her face went from. and
she looked like she was ready to kill somebody. She
was so freaking mad.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Well, there's clips that have been surfacing. I guess she's
pushed other reporters out of the way before in the past.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Oh, really?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Yeah, so maybe she gets, just because she is ESPN,
the mothership, maybe she does get a little aggressive at times,
proud of her product, if you will.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Yeah, but it was crazy. Crazy game.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
How does that not stay?
Speaker 1 (38:57):
I mean, props to Texas. I mean, the fact that
they came back and won was so impressive. Because I
was ready. I'll be honest. It was late, and I
was like, man, I should just turn this off. This
is so stupid. They're going to be 23-3. What am
I doing? But it was actually pretty impressive. They came
back and won. All right, guys.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
Bad audio, and I have another picture I can show
you to see if there's the hue in it.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Bad audio. We're here with the Texas Cardinals. hook them.
And that's it. And he's out.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
All right. This might be the field. How's the color.
You got to hold it though.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Let me see.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
Hold it though.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
I will. That's fine.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Okay. See, maybe it was your TV.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Maybe it was my TV, dude. I don't know. I'm
going to have to go back. I just do not
understand what was going on. And I was losing my mind.
I was like, this is so annoying because Ohio State's
colors were literally blending in with the damn field. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
You're going to need to investigate if that's your TV.
It's not going to be good for football.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
No, it's really not. But, I mean, props to Texas, dude.
That was a hell of a win. I mean, a
hell of a win.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
And now we've got another big one coming up this weekend.
But I've got a question, though.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Why.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Why was the game at 6 p.m.? Put that thing
at noon, man.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
No, no, I don't mind the 6 p.m.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Jeez, I took a two-hour nap.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
It lets them get liquored up. I mean, it was rocking.
It was rocking. Right, and at the very beginning of
the game, my kid, Baby Box, goes, Dad, is this
what it's going to be like if we go to
a Vandy game?
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Yeah, son. Anchor down.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
I said, not so much, man. And he's like, why?
They're both college. I said, well, one is really, really
good at football. There's a lot more people. They're like
two top five teams in the country playing. And he goes, man,
that'd be cool if it was that loud at the
Vandy game if we went. I'm like, yeah, I don't
(41:04):
know how to explain it to you, but it's totally different.
Totally different. And then I watched a little bit of
the Michigan-Oklahoma game. Oh, my God. You want to talk
about some crappy football.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Yeah, I had that one on.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Oklahoma's quarterback is awful. That was terrible.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
I thought Mateer was a stud. That was just so
low scoring. You kind of knew it was going to
be like that. Two great defenses. But Mateer used to
be good. I don't know what happened to him.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
He ain't very good. And my cousin was at the game.
Cousin Andrew was there.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
You had to know that Michigan was going to come
back after almost losing to a division three school in
Western Michigan. You had to know everybody was on Oklahoma.
Vegas always wins. I bet America lost so much money
on that game because I bet everybody took Oklahoma.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
I mean, it was so obvious in my pick them
so obvious to take freaking Michigan, Oklahoma No, no. It
was obvious that you had to take Michigan. You had
to because they were two point underdogs to six point favorites.
It was obvious to take Michigan in my pickup where
they give us like 10 games a week and we
(42:16):
had to rate them one through 10 confidence level. And
I sat there and said, it's so obvious you got
to take Michigan, but there ain't no damn way I'm
taking Michigan. And I took Oklahoma.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
After the game started, you would have taken Michigan because
Bryce Underwood was awesome. He was lighting people up. And
that one guy.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
I got a question.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
What's his, hold on.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
How many yards did he have?
Speaker 2 (42:36):
I don't care, but what's the receiver's name?
Speaker 1 (42:38):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Bennett Beckett.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Buchanan.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
Buchanan.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
He is good.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
He's going to play on Sundays and Mondays.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
Well, Cousin Andrew was there with his buddy. They went
because his buddy's an OU fan. And so when they
started talking about this six months ago, tickets were very expensive.
Very expensive. And like $ 500 a piece or something like that.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
That's a lot. And so they got way up their seats.
Then when Michigan barely beat whatever, Western Michigan, tickets started
dropping significantly. And he's like, ah, still not. We can't
resell ours because you're not allowed to resell them. I
don't want to do that. I don't want to do that.
So they got there on Thursday, and they got drunk
(43:26):
Thursday night. And his buddy was like, dude, tickets are
only $ 400. I'm going to buy them in the lower bowl.
So they ended up spending $ 1, 000 for tickets.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
So they didn't even use the other ones?
Speaker 1 (43:38):
Right.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
They re-bought tickets they already had?
Speaker 1 (43:41):
So they could sit lower.
Speaker 3 (43:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
50-yard line behind the OU bit. But his buddy's the
one that paid the difference because he was the OU fan.
Because my cousin was like, nah, dude, I'm not buying it.
And he was like, oh, dude, I'm drunk. I'm just
going to buy them. Let's just do it. There you go. Boom.
That's why they sat. We'll take a break and we'll
talk NFL right after this.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Ray, I'm going to talk about a random person we've
never talked about before.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
But they went to the OU. They were there in
the big house. He goes, God, it was pretty bad.
It was tough to watch.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
Just sloppy and low scoring.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Yeah, he goes, it wasn't that exciting. It wasn't the energy.
He said the atmosphere was a little down because everybody
was sad about the Western Michigan. He goes, the three
days we were there, the excitement wasn't as it would
have been if they had blown out Western Michigan.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
Well, now Michigan is number 11 in the country, right?
They beat 11.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I don't know. But, dude, NFL. Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
That was great to have it back.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
It's great to have it back. Fantasy football is stupid.
My quarterback died in about three minutes.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
We put up 135 points and lost. Unless Patty Mahomes
dies the first play of the game tonight.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Well, Kyler Murray died the first play of the game.
I mean, he died. He died on the field. It
was a cheap shot by them stupid-ass Packers. Yeah, you
Green Bay Packers taking cheap shots.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Who's the backup? Darnold?
Speaker 1 (45:05):
No.
Speaker 3 (45:06):
Wentz?
Speaker 1 (45:06):
Carson Wentz. So I will be going on the waiver
wire this week and picking up Carson Wentz. That will
be now my quarterback. But my boy, Justin Jefferson, two tutties.
Saquon Barkley still sucks.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Yeah, I told Justin I wanted Jefferson.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
God, Barkley sucks. What?
Speaker 2 (45:27):
He was running around a little bit?
Speaker 1 (45:28):
Yeah, for like 30 yards.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
I didn't know I'd have red zone. Apparently it's free
with NFL Network.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
So yeah, I mean, the Bears, they're going to have
to score 60 points a game because their defense is god-awful.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
And of all that scoring, who was I shocked by
that didn't get any touchdowns?
Speaker 1 (45:45):
Who?
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Menongai?
Speaker 1 (45:47):
No, Menongai got one. Loveland? He didn't get one. He
didn't get a single catch. not a cat dunes. He
got a couple of catches RJ DJ Moore. He's on
the bills. Yeah. And I went in my locks from Friday.
I went, Oh, and three first week jitters. You know
(46:09):
what I mean? NFL back. You don't know what's going
to be out there on the field. It was crazy.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
Titans.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
They are.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
They are so bad. They are so bad.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
It's the same. It's different coaches. It's the same offense
we've ran for the last four years.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
They suck.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
I told Baze, I said, so that's the worst team
that we'll play. And we lost. I mean, killed.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
You got dominated.
Speaker 2 (46:30):
The score looked better than the actual game. It wasn't
even close. And they showed the schedule. I don't think
we win for another two months.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Saquon's coming to town this weekend, man. Saquon better have
200 yards rushing. They better just hand it off over
and over. And the Titans are awful. The Browns are awful.
The Dolphins are awful.
Speaker 2 (46:50):
Awful what's his face uh rex ryan said he wouldn't
even have deshaun watson on the team much less start
him oh.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
So bad those are the those are the three teams
going for the first pick those are the three worst
teams they were awful.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
And they're saying if titans are the worst again they'll
pick arch oh they'll have two quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
Yeah and how about them cowboys they're back oh this
is our year revamp defense the giants shredded them how
did scataboo do He got a touch.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
See, we wanted him.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
He got 80 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah likely had
100 yards and two touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
I'm aware.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
He was awesome. And don't worry, I'm playing him.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
Yeah, so am I.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Oh, my God. What else happened? Chargers. Wow, you suck.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
Madison Beard, though.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
She's hot.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Outfit of the day.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
All my highlights.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Great job, camera guy. I mean, whatever. You did what
you were supposed to do. Justin Herbert does something good,
you show Madison Beer. Phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Well, and I saw all these highlights for the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
I was like, awesome.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Herbert must have had a huge day. This is going
to be great for fantasy. No, they're just showing his girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
Yeah, that's it. Well done. That's all we needed.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
I mean, every highlight wasn't him. It was her in
this football jersey that was ripped down the middle with
two laces hanging off, shoelaces off the sides.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
Yeah, and it just lets you show that Neville's unbelievable.
I mean, the Vikings losing the whole game, then they'd
blow out the Packers. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
And girls, if you're looking for something to wear to
an NFL game or a watch party, just go with
what Madison Beard was wearing. Whatever your team is, do that.
Just totally ripped to shreds down the middle.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Yeah. Oh, yes, please. That is the outfit. Like, if
you're ever wondering, is my outfit good? Look at that outfit.
If you're wearing that, you're good to go.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
And she goes, librarian glasses. I mean, she just ripped
Taylor Swift to shreds. She did.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
I mean, Taylor Swift was, eh, my nice dress, red, blah, blah. No,
that was it. That's how you show support. And then
we forgot to talk about the rocket, the rocket at
the golf course. There was three ladies behind us, and
one of them, she was a rocket. She had a
great swing, and she looked phenomenal, and she came driving up.
Did someone lose their golf cover? And I was like,
(49:00):
thank you.
Speaker 2 (49:01):
And it wasn't until hole 12 that she came up.
And it was one of those courses where I guess
every course, the people behind you will always come up
behind you the next hole. And the whole time we
were in contact with them, waving at them. Very nice.
And then hole 12, she goes, we have this cover
of you guys. Is it somebody's?
Speaker 1 (49:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
You held it for 12 holds? What have you been doing,
smelling it?
Speaker 1 (49:24):
It was crazy. But yeah, NFL was awesome. It's back.
It is back. But fantasy football is absolutely stupid. But Eliminator,
your boy didn't go with the Chargers, so I'm not
out week one.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
I mean, the obvious lock of the day was.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Chargers. They were the biggest favorites. Yeah. And they lost. Dude.
And Circa, the one where it's worth billions of dollars?
Speaker 2 (49:46):
I stayed there.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
$ 10. 1 million worth of entries were knocked out.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Vegas wins again.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
Just saw a study. How much do you think one
slot machine makes at a casino, at a busy casino?
Speaker 1 (50:04):
A day? A year? A year? A million?
Speaker 2 (50:07):
85 million.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
What? 85 million?
Speaker 2 (50:12):
I bet that's all slot machines.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
I can't Google. It has to be one slot machine.
I believe it's one.
Speaker 2 (50:19):
It's worth it because we need this stat. Casino comp wallet.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Dude, I'm going there this week.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
That's what I'm saying. You need this right now. Comp wallet.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
85 million per? Oh, my God. We need to get
in the slot industry. but then we couldn't gamble. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Just end it, man. All right.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
You guys have a great Monday.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
It is Vegas policy.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
Hey, good luck to Patty Mahomes and I, they're starting
to left tackle. That was undrafted. Um, all right.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
This is how much money 90 slot machines makes in
a year at a busy casino on the West coast.
85 million. Wow. Vegas always wins.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
Vegas always wins.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
I'd, Decent amount of that's Bazers.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
Hey, Broncos are going to win tonight. They got to.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
Well, lunch is coming for that money from one of
those slots that took it from us.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
Hi, I'm coming on Friday. Get ready.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
Here, I'm going to get some mascara and a napkin,
and I'm going to draw you the two machines, the
pinball and then also the wheel of fortune.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Yes, you told me you would. You better really do it.
I'll draw the map because I'm going to hit up
Chino Poblano, and that's in the cosmos, and then I'll
go to the slot.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
This will be on the first floor. Very easy to find.
Unless they do the thing, Ring Around the Rosie, where
they move the machines.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
They ain't going to move it in one week. That's
way in advance. They know that I'm coming. They're going
to leave it in the same spot. So please, draw
me a map. Do I need to text Baser?
Speaker 2 (51:44):
We blew up two of those pinball machines.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
Do I need to text Baser?
Speaker 2 (51:47):
They weren't spinning right.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
Do I need to text Baser, or are you really
going to draw it?
Speaker 2 (51:52):
I'll draw it.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
All right.
