In this episode Ray is having the debate with BAE about putting a pool on his 2.33333 acres out in the country. Lunchbox took his kids to the pool despite the rain, 70 degree weather, and the freezing water but the kids were begging to go. Also we debate the advantages between a public pool and a private pool in your backyard. Lunchbox is sad about the state of The San Antonio Spurs after Victor Wembanyama decided to skip Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, the Thunder are one game from the NBA Finals and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just fell down again.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
There needs to be an intro.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Yeah. The intro is we're here? Do I want to
be here? No? Do I want to go to the
Facebook page? No? Are we dead in the water? No?
Am I giving up hope? No? Is Wimby soft as Sharman? Yes?

(00:27):
Does he get bodied? Yes? Does he need to understand
that he's not a three point shooter? He needs to
go down low? Yeses does he need to hit the
weight room? Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Does he make some crazy but Sports Center plays?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yes? Does it look terrible on TV? Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Is it cool how he was all the way under
the basket and he still made that one and one?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yes? But did it matter? No? Was that game a blowout? Yes? Well,
I mean yeah, the thunderhack control the whole time. I mean, oh,
let me tell you. Wimby thinks he's a three point shooter,
and he thinks he's freaking Alan Iverson with a crossover

(01:10):
that no one can stay in front of. A dude,
stop trying to dribble the freaking basketball. You're seven foot four,
you are huge. It takes one second for someone to
stand in the lane and clog it, and you can't
get the shot up, and it's a charge. Please, we've got.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
To go down low, get some post moves, start working
with a Keem the Dream or Tim duncan something.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
We can't be catching it at the free throw line.
You're too far out. How is Alex Caruso guarding you?
Alex Caruso is three foot tall and he's white. He
can't jump. That's racist. I know. Uh, here's the thing.

(01:57):
Go ahead. Can we start the show? Yeah, we better
start the show.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I listened to Fridays or whenever. The last month was
that we did one. We've got to have a start.
It's not funny anymore that we're just randomly talking and
we don't know it's recording. We gotta have a start.
There needs to be a start to the show for
people that are tuning in. It's stupid as hell that
we just start talking. There needs to be a beginning,
a middle, and an end of all this loose ends
that we've never cleaned up in ten years doing this podcast.

(02:24):
There needs to be a beginning. There needs to be
a countdown to the convention. There needs to be some
set segments. There needs to be a goodbye, goodbye truckers,
goodbye done Zo. This loose stuff, loosey goosey, is fine,
But I mean now that podcasts are ramping up, basers
are worlds ahead of us because they have a start,

(02:44):
they have segments. I need to do better and pull
some music beds that are allowed in podcasts.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Sorry, we're loosey goosey like the Spurs r with the basketball.
We're gonna do it live. We oh the one two three?
So loser? What up? Everybody? I am Lunchbox. I know
the most about sports. Suggy is sports facts, my sports opinions,
because I'm pretty much a sports genius, y'all.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Its isn't from the North. I'm from the Bobby Bone Show.
So's Lunchbox and this is our spin off. And yes,
I'm married to Bazer. She's my wife. We got two
point three acres, two point zero kids at Vanderbilt. They're defrosting. Justin,
my old best friend used to be looking after them.
Then he moved to Michigan on a whim. He now
lives there and his dog's buried in our yard. Those

(03:32):
two point three acres are point three housing to his dog.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Over to you man, Yeah, one more loss, but we're
gonna be buried right next to Justin's dog. Uh. I
just want to say a couple of things.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I everything you have said so far about the Spurs,
I thought exactly first, Can I just say one thing?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Oh, you can say as many. You can say more
than one thing. You're on this podcast with me, you're
allowed to talk.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I agreed with everything you said, but there's one thing
you left out.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
I haven't got there yet. Probably go ahead. You guys
thought you were winning this series. It's over. It's over.
There's this guy named McCain just dropping threes. It's over.

(04:30):
It's over. Over to you, man, Yeah, it's not over.
I don't Here's the thing. I just do not understand
how we can I mean, Keldon Johnson played hard last night.
He actually played hard. Vasell was nonexistent. He hit a
couple shots in the second half, but he wasn't flying

(04:51):
around like he was Game one. In Game four, dearon
Fox was getting beat by McCain. It was very frustrating.
But I will say that Alex Caruso is phenomenal. He's
a guy that'll win it. Like for Boston Celtics, that
dude jd Drew Drew Drew true Holiday.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yep, those are the type of players that win championships.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Try like. He is phenomenal. He knows his role and
he does it perfectly. He doesn't try to do too much.
He doesn't try to be the superstar, but he does everything.
He does everything right ninety nine percent of the time.

(05:36):
He's always in the right spot. He's always making the
right play. He is phenomenal, and he's He's Edward Eduardo Nahara.
If you used to watch scrappy frustrating, you absolutely hate
them if they're on the other team. But you see
a guy like that and you're like, God, if we

(05:56):
had him on our team, that would be awesome. Have
someone like him on our team.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
So the last time they played, I believe it was Friday,
and you guys were on vacation for so long. I
think it was. And that was my first time actually
watching Wimby. I've only seen him on two k And
when they start out seventeen to nothing, and this could
be two Fridays ago. I have no idea the NBA
playoffs last so long, he I go seventeen to nothing.
This Spurs team is the best I've ever seen in

(06:22):
the world. And then over the next hour and a half,
I've never seen a guy seven to seven go invisible
for a twenty minute span because I go, oh my gosh,
he can shoot threes, and then later you're like, why
does he shoot threes?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Exactly? He's big.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
It was cool when he made the first one, but
he should have never made it. It was cool when
they went on a seventeen oher run, but let's be real,
that's just the NBA.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
It's a game of runs. But the Spider, he's got
to stop selling for threes.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
But man, does he go ghosts mode forever? And when
I say ghosts mode, I would say it to Boomer.
No rebounds, no assists, no points. Where does Wimby go
on the court for twenty minute spans? I've written a
genius Somebody on Sports Center, I don't know. Marv Albert
maybe rest in peace on that one. Uh, Stuart Scott,

(07:14):
rest in peace? Somebody figure it out. Where does Wimby
go for these twenty minute spans? Because he's on the court,
but he's.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Not involved at all. I've never seen it.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I witnessed it for the first time on Friday Night.
It's actually it's talent to do that doesn't not even
a fingernail on the ball. It's like, where did wemby
go drain's a three aliu a rebound?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Where does he go?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
It's it's wild if I was seven to seven, dude,
and I'd have done with seven to seven.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Over to you, man, I'd like to know where he
went for forty eight minutes last night? Did he do
the same thing again? He had six rebounds the entire game.
In those sins, they're not even jumping.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
You know that dude ain't jumping really for him boxing out,
it's because they fall in his hands.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Right, he's getting bodied. And here's the thing I don't understand.
I mean, maybe it's partly on our coach, but if
he doesn't have any post moves, he's got to learn
post moves. You got to post him up down low.
Then they come to double then he kicks it out
to a shooter. What he catches it? He catches it
at the free throw line, facing the basket. People can

(08:28):
just crowd the lane and there's nowhere to go. And
he's falling in love with this. Miss it on purpose
and try to get the rebound. But when there's four
bodies between you and the basket, it's hard to do that.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Oh, was he actually doing that last night? I haven't witnessed.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
That so I And another thing, when the Oklahoma City
Thunder gave a big contract to Isaiah Harten's seign, Oh gross.
He didn't do anything. He doesn't even play. No, he plays,
he does and he plays well. And last year I
saw it that was the missing pieces to their championship.
Him Caruso come in, they win the championship. It gave

(09:04):
him a presence down low and then I thought, is
he really that good? He knows what he's doing, dud.
He's a big body. He grabs the rebounds. Last night
there was two offensive rebounds. We were within five points
and he gets two offensive rebounds on two trips in
a row that led to back to back threes six points.

(09:26):
He does the dirty work. He bodies his big old
freaking frame, bodies freaking wimby and he's not scared of physicality.
And that was the difference. It's been rough. It's sad,
but we're gonna win two in a row and I'm
gonna give the I just the Thunder. I'm impressed. I've
been impressed for the last two years. But it's not over.

(09:49):
I'm still gonna believe we can win this series where
is the next game, san Antonio.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Okay, I like how it goes back and forth in
the last three Yeah, I do like that too. Yeah,
I enjoy that also, Tarico. I watched highlights saw the
other one in its entirety phenomenal game, but saw highlights, Tariko,
Why when do we start to become cool people? Just
be boring Bob Costas and say shy Alexander Michael Jordan

(10:17):
every time SGA gets the ball, SGA to the basket,
SGA and one to Rico. You don't have to be
cool man, just call him shy if every time Bob
Costas said MJ the drumper MJ, dude, stop trying to

(10:38):
be mister.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Everybody knows I knew terms.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Stop calling him SGA every time SGA to the bucket,
SGA and one. Just stop call him shy Geez Mamba
is it his name, Shay, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Mamba to the basket like that would have sounded so weird.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Back in the day. The answer to the basket and
then me Sar Jordan to the basket.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Nostalgic me. It showed up on X I watched it
said on a bridge three minute clip unadult traded of
the Bowls and Jazz nineteen ninety eight finals three minute clip.
I think a score was like four to two. It
was a beautiful three minute clip. There was actually passing
and defense and it was beautiful. I don't know how

(11:27):
watchable this new NBA is.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Thereomom droom, room, damn.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Watching Here comes the guy that seven to seven half quarter.
Our grand parents are rolling.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Over in their grapes right now.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
I didn't want to chat. There's ten minutes left. Why
Why is the seven seven guys shooting a half quarter?

Speaker 1 (11:49):
You imagine Shack back in the day launching a three.
One of my watching a seventeen zero run and they
lose by fifty.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
What are we doing? It's a wild NBA.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I just don't know how watchable it is for the
next decade.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
I don't know now it's gonna be watchable because the
Spurs and thunder A gonna go head to head in
the Western Conference finals for the next twenty years. Because
we have all these players, all these draft picks, and
we are stacked. We are both stacked, and I am fresh.
Caruso is gonna get old and he's not gonna be
able to hit every shot, and he's not gonna play
amazing defense every game. I mean, he's like a little

(12:29):
gnat that won't go away, and it's pretty impressive. But
the one thing that stuck out to me last night
is how stupid Reggie Miller is. You want to talk
about Mike Turco being dumb and annoying, Reggie Miller does
not know ball. Reggie Miller sounds so stupid, so stupid.

(12:51):
He's like, Ah, guys, I'm gonna tell you and I'm
gonna tell you this lits it up America. I've seen enough.
I've seen enough. It doesn't matter who wins this series.
The New York Knicks are the favorite to win the
NBA title. Like Reggie Miller, shut up, man.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
The Canadians are gonna win it.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Reggie Miller, shut up. These are unbelievable teams. Yes, they
look great against the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks
because you have James Harden and Donovan Mitchell who don't
play defense. When you play the Thunder or the Spurs,
you're gonna get defense up in your grill all game long.

(13:33):
Carl Soft Towns is not gonna be able to handle Hardstein.
They're not SGA is gonna put Brunson in a freaking bag.
St Caruso is gonna freaking back body him up, get
out of here.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Don't even say that, correct, You sound so stupid, I
will say, though, it's probably I like the NBA as
much as I just bagged on it. I shouldn't have
went all the way to say it's unwatchable. It's actually,
it's actually this is great ball right now. It's awesome yet, right,
I get that the series has been phenomenal. The regular
season is watered down. But if you're in a household
right now, wives, husbands, but men and men, if you're

(14:11):
in a household now that isn't watching these finals?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
What are you doing? That's true?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
What are you doing? What are you even doing like this?
This is musty TV, this series and the Knicks. I
think it'll definitely it won't go game seven. It won't
be as competitive as this one, but it'll go.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
It'll go six, it'll go five, no problem. They might
get one. But here here's another thing. Here's what's impressive
about NBA basketball.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
I mean, we didn't have it on last night, but
you get what I'm saying. I was in bed.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
I think it was I don't even know his last name.
Maybe Williams. You got a T shirt on underneath his
jersey Mike Turrico for OKC. He didn't play the first
couple of games. He played last game, made a couple
of shots, fine, but he wasn't really Last night, dude
hit a couple of huge threes. Oh, Jalen Williams. No
different guy, No, it's Jayleen. I know who you're talking about.

(15:01):
Jay Williams was the one he I know who. He
is from Arkansas. This other guy I don't even know.
I mean, he's like number twelve on the bench and
all of a sudden he's freaking draining threes last night
and he doesn't even play practice squad guy. And that's
what I mean, that's what is so impressive about the NBA.
You're like, Oh, his name is Kinrich Williams. That's his name. Well,

(15:23):
he just got TCU. He's in his seventh year. Last
night he played, hit a couple of huge shots, and
it's just like NBA guys are really good. Even bench
guys that don't play are really freaking good. I think
they're tired of this Spurst thunder talk. But we're not
giving up. We'll see you Thursday night in San Antonio for.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
The Women's College World Series.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I won't be there, but I'll be watching. We'll take
a break right back. No, did you was that the softball? Yeah,
they're going to Omaha.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
They're going to Oklahoma City. Oh wow, that'll be there
at the same time as Game seven.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Whoa, it's gonna be crazy in Oklahoma City. You think
they'll get free tickets to the girls.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
That actually will be a wild weekend if you guys
live there. I'm sure one of our truckers has got
to for sure live there.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Do you think we have any people that listen to
us that live in Oklahoma City? Yeah, And it's kind of.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Like when we had a Stanley Cup Finals, CMA Fest
and CMA.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Awards as well.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
There's been times you have like three different things at
the same time in a city.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
That's when it gets pretty wild. Yeah. Everything gets compounded.
A lot of people here for this for that, and
they mix together, mix and mingle, and it's like, what,
you're not here for CMA Fest. No, I'm here for
the Stanley Cup. Oh Canada, let's bang in my hotel room.
Super Bowl. It's got to be an award.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Show now, they won't have an award show that Super
Bowl weekend February, our convention months before. If you can
the same thing, you make three shots of golf. That's impressive,
three different events in a city at the same time. Structurally,
it can't hold it.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Did you see the women's golf this weekend? Uh? Refresh
my memory? In c double a, some girl named O'Keefe.
She won the n c DOUBA Tournament. O'Keefe wins. You
say o'keef, no O'Keefe. Farah O'Keefe. She wins the n
CUBA Women's Championship. She goes to the University of Texas

(17:28):
and she graduated from.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
UTSA Anderson High School.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Wow, go Trojans. So I mean, obviously I'm way older
than her, and she Farah O'Keefe Anderson Trojans making us proud.
Great job girl. We cover everything here.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Well that and I mean, just what a lazy weekend
in Nashville, dude, cause it's the sun wasn't out, so
you're not boat partying, you're not going to the pool.
It was just talk about just the lazy. That law
lo lazy.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
It rained and rained and rained some more. Then it
would chill.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Sun would come out for a minute, and then Bob
Boo come down with one of these bad boys. Somebody
deleted it.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
What is it? Thunder? No, don't play thunder, I don't
there you go. You're just rubbing it in my face.
What thunder golf? No? Oh spurs. Yeah that we did
go to the pool. Is it indoors? No? Hell no,
it's outdoors. Usually they shut that down. Ah. No, I
wasn't raining on Monday, Like there was a gap that

(18:33):
it wasn't raining, and it was seventy degrees outside, which
means the pool is probably at forty five degrees mm.
And I told the boys. They were like, dah, we
haven't gone to the pool yet. We have the pools open.
The pool has been open since Saturday. Let's go, my guys.
It's gonna be absolutely freezing. I don't want to hear
any complaining about cold. I don't want to hear about cold.
I'm not getting in the water. I'm telling you guys

(18:54):
right now, I am not getting in the water. Do
the parents get in or they chill to the side.
No parents get in, some parents, some parents chill on
the side. See.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
I think i'd be a side because my friends. I
didn't realize they were making fun of me when we
went used to live on the West Side. I never
I'm not a water guy, so I am a water guy.
I thought you were a water guy. I am a
water guy, except for when we went to the Bahamas.
You got in the water and.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
You're like, it's not it's not safe out there. I'm
not going down that water. That was Beminy. No, that
was Key West. That was Bemini. It was Key West
Walton Beach, Yeah, Key West. We took the go carts.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah, at the pool, they told me because then Anna
ended up pushing me in with my phone in my pocket.
But I didn't realize. I never really get in the pool.
I just like chilling on the side.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Yeah. I think pushing people in the pool has kind
of lost its luster because of the phones. Right.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
It used to be able to get away with it.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
You used to have to get away with it. Now
the phones. I mean, it happened to me when I
was down in Padre. I went to McCallen for a wedding,
met some chicks on the plane. When I met him
in Padre, spent the night in their hotel room. Second
night h was at they we went back to this
house with a bunch of people partying. I'll sitting on
the edge and some dude pushed me in ruined my phone.

(20:06):
So I went and pissed in his bed and one
of the beds in the house because I was mad
and drunk and it ruined my phone. But it needless
to say, we go to the pool this weekend. We
went on Monday, and we are there and they get
in and the middle one jumps in. He's like, it's cold.

(20:26):
The oldest one gets in, but he doesn't get all
the way in. He just goes to his like, he
stands up. He didn't go under. He said, oh it's cold.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
It's cold.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
It's gone. It's cold. Are you prepared to get in?
I'm not getting in. I told you I'm not getting in,
but if you needed to, I had my swimsuit. Okay,
that's what I was curious about. Yeah, but they were
in the area, the shallow end where they can stand,
and the youngest one, uh, he could probably stand in
that area. But I was like, dude, if you want
to go around, you need to have your floating on

(20:56):
because like, if you're gonna try to swim out a
little bit. So he's in there with his floating on
and they swam a little bit. We lasted forty three
minutes and they got out and they ran over to
the chair and they threw all the diving toys in
the bag and they picked it up, and I was like,
where are you guys going? Like, we're leaving. It's so cold.
It's so cold. That's beautiful. Though, As a parent, why

(21:19):
a parent is I want them to swim and wear
themselves out. I see.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
I was thinking, move on to the next thing. Okay,
that was semi boring.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
What next?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Can we get out of here and do? No?

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Because I could just sit there play on my phone,
right like the other parents. No, it's not playing on
my phone. But I can just sit there and it's nice,
seventy degree day.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I can see it now. I bet every single parent
is on their phone. A lot of parents on the phone.
There are some parents with books. I bet it is
seven out of ten on their phone, have no idea
what's going on around them. They're the one parent that
volunteered his tribute so they can go play on their phone.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah, some people, but some people read their books. Some
people are you know, just chatting with the neighbors, having
a couple of bruskies chatting it up.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
You can drink at the community pool.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
You can drink. I mean, I don't know if you
can drink it's frowned upon. But people do bring drinks.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
In at like actual cans or they're a discreete about it.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Well they put a koozy over it. Yeah, you don't
just have the bud light can out. Dude, that's wild.
And dude. Food Oh, everybody uber eats food to the pool. Yeah,
that is amazing.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
I almost got to come see that, just like your
soccer games. I just gotta see it because you're not
painting a good enough picture. There's people drinking beer at
the community pool. Yeah, me and baze Aer just pull up.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yeah. Or do you have to have kids? No?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Is it frowned upon if we don't have kids.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
There's elderly that do workouts in the pool. They have
their little water weights and they do exercise routines in
the water.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Is there any frat daddies that pull up?

Speaker 2 (22:55):
No, not really frat daddies. Not frat daddies.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
What about girls you just want to tan?

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Not really? Okay, now, there's not really like twenty three
year old females with.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
No kids, because see I was picturing there's just a
bunch of kids in there, and.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
I mean it's mostly families with kids, and then people
that are older I would say sixty and above that
don't have kids because their their kids are grown. But
besides that, it's pretty much yeah, right, it's those of
us that don't have a pool. It's pretty much everybody

(23:30):
that don't have a pool and a bunch of kids
running around.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
And but see, you can't think like that because I
had that same feeling when I was on the West Side,
when we were at the pool, it kind of it
got deep, deeper than just being at the pool. So
us at the pool on the West Side, we were
the people that didn't have boats and like couldn't afford
to go to a boat day on a lake, correct, right,

(23:52):
So it kind of got to me. I think Justin
may have said that to me and I was like,
wait what, and he goes, think about it. Everybody here
can't afford a boat. So I'm saying, I just hope
that doesn't creep into your mind when you're at the
community pool. Everybody there can't afford a pool.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
That doesn't bother me one bit.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Like there's not one person at the community pool that
has a pool in their yard that they got to
me on the west side, and I was like, damn,
that's deep. Not one person at my apartment pool has
a boat. You can look around and not one of
those people can afford a boat.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
That's deep. Yeah, I mean, you're you're factually accurate. I
would assume. I mean, because why would you be at
the community pool if you have a pool in your backyard? Right,
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
To step out like that, it takes the bigger person
because you're openly admitting I can't afford a pool.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Also, I got a question, and this is this is crazy,
This may be stupid, but isn't a community pool more
fun than having a pool in your backyard? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
The more Beazer throws it around as just uh, something
in the pie in the sky that will never happen. Oh,
I really would like to get a pool someday, Like
we'll never get a pool. You gotta get a fence.
It has to get approved. I mean, her brother gotta
I told you guys, the price of that, like six
fakers get a pool, like, well, do.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
You use it enough to make it worth it? Like?

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Is getting a pool the dumbest thing ever? Aside from
getting a boat?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Hold on? What even was your original question? I said,
isn't going to the community pool more fun than having
a private pool in your yard?

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Proves my point? Isn't it more fun if you are dying?
If you're fiending? Like, honey, I need to bless you,
Thank you truckers. I heard you, guys, honey, I'm so
horny for a pool right or water right now? Just
go to the lake or something. Why would you ever
like your own pool? It's just you and your chicken,
maybe one nephew. Like, I don't know how much fun's

(26:00):
gonna be had there? Can I use an example?

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I get it if you're if you're just like wanting
a skinny dip with your chick, All right, that's kind
of fun. But after a month of doing that does
it get old? Let me say this, Bones and Caitlin
got a pool. Bone says he never goes in it.
My god, not a cousin.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Brother in law. I told you, guys, Major investment got
the pool. His daughter was into swimming, so they got
the sucker nine feet deep. She's swimming. She's doing Michael
Katie Leadeki in the back.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
She's doing Missy Franklin.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
She quits the swim team. Ooh and I'm pretty sure.
Well we'll go over there for something. Oh, you guys
been hanging out on the pool.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
No, we ain't been in here in a little while.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
I mean I because it's just the four of them.
If you don't have friends over, if you don't have
other people, how fun is a pool with tour.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
And your parent? Are you using it enough? Not that fun?

Speaker 1 (26:58):
You're right like us at the pool in the West
Side being depressed. That's probably more fun than a rich
guy driving a boat around by himself.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Correct you at.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
The community pool is more fun than a rich guy
looking at his one only child swimming around in the
pool wondering how long his marriage is.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Gonna stay together. You know, dude, because we are going
to the pool and we're driving and there's a mom
and two kids walking and baby Boss goes dad, Dad,
that's Keith from my school. It looks like he's walking

(27:39):
to the pool. You don't get that. If you have
a pool in your backyard, you're gonna see people that
you don't even realize. Want to go to the community pool.
You're gonna see people that you see from your school,
your baseball team, that played on your basketball team, Folks
that you haven't seen in a couple of years. All
of a sudden, whoa hey, man, what's up? You run
into people, you make friends, you're in your backyard. You

(28:01):
see you and two sets of neighbors that you invite over.
That is it. I will tell you.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
We got a neighbor with a dope pool, like disgusting pool,
and he's cool, like cool dude. Watched the Balls game
with him, like two years ago, which falls game back
in the day against Football and the Balls won like
twenty four to thirteen odd score. Watch one game with him.
Never talk to the guy ever again. I'll wave at

(28:28):
him sometimes when I go in one of my point
five runs. Dude, what happened to that relationship? How do
I cultivate that relationship? The one guy that's so cool
that has a pool, he's best friends with Jessica's husband.
But I mean, I don't think he wants anything to
do with me.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, I don't know. It's like that one time that
I'm in this dad's group that we get together the
first Thursday of every month and we do something. And
one dude was like, dude, all hosted my house one night,
and we're all right, and we roll up and he
has a pool bingo and he's like, who wants to
get in your wife? And I'm like, uh so it's

(29:10):
me and like eight dudes in the pool and five
dudes sitting on the edge of the pool.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
I would have been an edger ray that's actually sexual.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
And we uh just sat there and I've never been
invited back to the pool dude, but it was just
very interesting to have a bunch of dudes in a pool,
Like it was like, hey, pool night felt really weird.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
But yeah, Jessica says that this dude, see he always
has people over. The garage is open. Every time I
run by a pool looks great. They got a pool
house for noodles everywhere.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I mean maybe half a million dollar pool. Awesome pool?
Why like, what what what did I do?

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Why?

Speaker 1 (29:50):
How do what's my I can't just go up to
see in the yard while he's mowing.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Hey man, I love to do the pool.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
I don't got kids, but can we come over? Everybody
gets an invite to seize pool except for us.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
It's weird. Man, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
But see does have people over your point more that
you've got to It's a pool, is a community thing.
It's not just you and your two kids. That's probably
happens for one week, my niece and nephew every time
we have a Fourth of July party.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
You guys been you guys been in here.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
It's been a couple of weeks, maybe a month.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
What you have a pool in your backyard.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Well, she's not on the swim team anymore. She doesn't
swim as much.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Geez, Dad, get in the pool, Dad, throw me, Dad,
throw this shark. When you're at the community pool. Guess
what they're playing with their friends?

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Do you guys ever get in the hot tub. I'll
get in the hot tub every night. Kind of takes
a little bit to get warmed up. So we just don't.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
The pool situations and poet situations are so sad because
you have so much optimism and it's just so much
happiness in fantasyland, and then it actually happens, and it's
like all these boats that I run by on my point, Dude,
I run by a lot in point five miles. All
these boats just sit on their their trailers, all these
pools just unoccupied.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
I will say I having a boat if you don't
have a lake house seems really.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Tough, real tough. If you if you the only reason
to get a boat is if you have a lake house.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Or you don't have to tow it. You don't have
to tow it everything. Yep, Like you can leave it there.
You go, you drop it down in the water, you drive.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
It, not even dropping it down. I'm talking you leave
it in the lake. No, No, you just go on
your dock and get in it.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
No, I understand, but a dock you you raise it
up on a boat lift, right, and then you lower
it down into the water. Is what I meant.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
They don't just stay in the water. No, because all
the water and I got it. Yeah, that is the
reason to have a boat. You just walk out in
the morning. Yeah, I'm just gonna drive it around. But
you're right the trailer you're passing the.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Inta got to back it in. Drive it in the water,
all right, park the car all right, Hold the boat
right there, tie it up, climb it that honey. Yep,
keep getting in the water. Left did you say left.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Now, if you got it at the lake, you're never
gonna have to have those conversations.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, we'll take a break, we'll right back. I mean
talking like that now. I want a boat, man, I
mean I would love to have a boat. I mean,
it would be so awesome to have a boat. But
I mean it would be hard to have a boat also.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
But Baser and her pool, I the idea, bro. You
want to know how many times out of you. I'll
use it every day, just because I'm like that much
of a stickler. When I purchase things, I want to
use them, So I wouldn't be I'd be like depressed
if I didn't use that thing every day. So just
at a principle, I would use it every day.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
All she's going to do is lay by it.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
There's no what do we have our nephews over once
once a season in the winter time. We're not using it.
We just hope it doesn't freeze out. There's no way
you get one hundred thousand dollars worth of use out
of a pool. Can't be And we got to put
a fence around it so that kids don't drown it.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
And you get sued.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah, yeah, like it's a massive expense that she's built up. Now, Baser,
every time we're in the back patio'd be so nice
if we had a pool.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
What then you gotta clean it all the time.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
We're never getting a pool unless I hit the lottery
and I can pay to have a pool guy take
care of it, and I can pay for a fan.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Like that's literally almost a house purchase. Like we're never
getting a pool. Like, never getting a pool. That it's
crazy crazy how expensive it is. And you know what
what's crazy expensive is cars. Have you looked at cars
how much they cost? Would? No?

Speaker 1 (33:27):
I have got the exact same one since two thousand
and five.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Ude, we you know we have to replace the cars, right, Oh,
maybe we should upgrade to a suburban. We'd look at
a suburban. One hundred thousand dollars. Mark that off the list.
One hundred thousand dollars for something that's gonna be driving
on wheels and kids are gonna get dirty. No, thank you.
Probably why Scuba drives a van?

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Does he have a mini van?

Speaker 2 (33:53):
He drives that big old truck.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I think he said he has a mini.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Oh his wife drives a mini. Yeah, but one hundred
thousand dollars get out of here.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
But that's also because that's like a cool looking like
sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and drive
a soccer mom van.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Yeah, you want to hear an email that didn't age well? Coachers,
It's game day, Go Spurs, go love the pod and
hearing about your travels, daily adventures and just being you.
Marcia listening in Sageine, Texas Home with the TLU Bulldogs
Texas Lutheran University. PS. I do have a job emailing
on my lunch break. I didn't go, well, I'm staying

(34:31):
up Thursday night for that game. There's no chance you will. No,
it's musty TV, it is. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
I did it last Thursday for Kane.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Brown and then we win. And what would we play Sunday?
They would make it Sunday, right Funday night. You know, well,
I'd love the two pm, but you know it'll be
Sunday night, seven pm. Sunday. Yep, that's when game seven is.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yes, I already looked it up. I wanted to know
what games I can watch, neither of which, but I
hope I can stay up for Thursday night.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yeah. I mean my kids they've been watching Little bit
like they watched the first quarter last night. They watched
till halftime the game before that. Isn't it summer? Yeah?
How can they not stay up for the whole game? Ah,
they were retired. Baby Box two was like, he's all right,
we're going to bed, and I was like, yeah, we
better go to bed. Then if you're saying can we
go to bed, we need to go to bed. They've been.

(35:20):
They stay up sometimes, like they watched the first half
the other night. What what is it Sunday night? But then
they went and watch the Angels and outfield another room.
Jee I'll never forget.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
In high school, we moved around a little bit and
we didn't have cable and so no, we had Dish,
but for whatever reason, it didn't have the sports channels.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
They didn't have NBC. No, so we.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Couldn't no because we couldn't watch Maybe in the finals
we could, but we couldn't watch the NBA playoffs. And
it made me so bad because NBA playoffs were legit like.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
They are right now, they were coming that again.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I couldn't watch the NBA playoffs and every day at
baseball practically what my friend, Oh, dude, the hornet you should.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Have saw him last night. It was crazy.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
The Warriors baron Davis Hall.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
It was nuts. It was nuts.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
My mom didn't do the sports package, so we couldn't
watch the NBA playoffs. That's depressing, That's what I'm saying.
So I maybe I.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Was a little older. Yeah I was.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
I was high school. But your kids don't have that
excitement about the playoffs. They don't have that attachment to
basketball yet. They'll watch a little bit.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
They'll watch a little bit of baseball, they'll watch a
little football, they'll watch a little Kansas Jayhawk basketball. But
they they're not die hard yet.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Ray.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
They love a good play, like like last night the
Spurs Dylan Harper shooting free throws and one of the
kids got confused and thought it was the other team,
and he was waving his hands at the screen trying
to make a miss, and I said, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
we want him to make it goes. Oh sorry, dad,
So yeah, it could be confusing. It's tough.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Well. And also the fans wearing different T shirts. One
time the Spurs are wearing multi colored, then the Thunder
wearing white, then the Thud they're wearing blue. Then the
Thunder wearing blue white blue white. That actually is pretty
cool how they all do that. Listen, props to them.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
And then the idiots that don't wear the shirts, like
if you're cheering for the Thunder, if you're at the
home stadium and you're cheering for that team and you
don't put on the shirt, you're a loser.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
And you know, Madison Square Garden, there's too much history
there doing that.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Hey name putting on T shirts. Hey, they don't need
that fake crap. You gotta give them respect for that.
They they're they're they're just gonna wear what they got on.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
They do those celeb cams. All the celebs that are there.
Ben Stiller and that other dude have been there since
day one.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Ben's Steeller's been there a lot.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yamn yeah, and the other guy sham Away dude. They
had one where it was RFK the last time the
Knicks were in the playoffs, RFK was at the game
in the finals.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Who's JFK in nineteen ninety nine? RFK?

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Then, I don't know, I saw something on my.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
I don't think JFK was alive And nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Was it ninety nine? I thought they said it was
thirty seven years ago. Thirty years twenty seven years ago.
I was thirteen, So.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
It was ninety nine, Okay, okay, because the Spurs beat him. Okay,
So it wasn't JFK. I don't think so. Man, it
was some other guy. But oh maybe it was Epstein
Ray whoa. No, they showed him what Allan I was
gonna say, did he? Well? What of Allen's just as weird.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
I know, but I think there was some stuff about
him allegedly.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
No, he like adopted a kid and then he started
dating her. Wow, Like that's weird.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
But then now we have the Charalomae and Kendall Jenners.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Are they just still together? She went to the game,
Oh she did? Yeah, h and.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
They were giving him dapts. He's like part of the team.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Now. Why you remember when my wife had a job
interview and you guys interviewed Alex Muell from Mule from
the NFC soccer team. Yeah? Uh did you know he
played you soccer with Timothy Charalamagne. That would have been
a good question. I just know. They just came out
with a commercial and it's them reuniting. Hey get ready?

(39:08):
Oh do we have a minute.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
We got a minute the World Cup, my first ever
Nashville s C. Gabe, you went, How could I forget
you were there? We may have to talk Wednesday about it.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
Oh my god, you we are gonna talk. They have
to talk Wednesday. How could I blow my god? Ray
Ray ghost plays soccer Ray.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
The only reason I thought of that is because they're
taking a month off now for the World Cup.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Yeah, dude, we just announced our roster. Do you see it?

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Better have Sam Surage on it.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
No, he's not American. Oh what about Messi he's on
our He's Argentinian. He's not American. Who do we have
on our team? Maussa? No, Ray Rodman's daughter. No, she's
really good. Trinity, she's good and she's hot. Uh No,
we have Polisic. Okay, we have McKinney.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
We don't have Mussa. He didn't make it. M Diego
Luna did not make it. So yeah, that's who we got.
We got Rod rolled on, Christian rolled on. I don't
know why he's on the team, but hey, they're smarter
than I am. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
And congrats to did Arsenal win the Premier League they
did win the Premier League. Man South Beach hit me up.
He's big in the Premier League betting it.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Oh. John Dabkowski is huge into Arsenal and so Monday
Tuesday he hit me up.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
He goes, Hey, the whole season's come down to this
Man City bet huge, huge ben It's crazy. It came
down to the wire. Wow, last second, this is it
Monday Tuesday. This is huge, Premier League big bets. They
all come down to this. I haven't heard from him
since Monday or Tuesday, and he said Man City. So
I assume he lost because I'm guessing he picked Man
City to win the Premier League and Arsenal one. Yeah,

(40:50):
but it did come down to the end.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
I came down if they didn't tie or they had
to just get a win. I don't remember. But Arsenal
one at Clinch State yay chance, first time in like
thirty years.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Well, I didn't know when you went overseas, you went
to a country that was the powerty.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
I know, but they started a week after I was like,
I left.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
I didn't know every city in that country is a
Premier League team.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
How pretty cool is that? That's the coolest part of it.
And I'm gonna tell you the coolest part is regulation.
If you're in the bottom three, you get freaking kicked out.
All three of them, do Yeah, they get kicked out
to the lower division. That is awesome. Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
In NBA, if they dropped the Who's the Worst?

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Uh, the Pelicans, the Jazz Pelicans, I don't know. Yeah,
if you.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Dropped them the Pacers and put them into goes to
the G League, that would be incredible.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
That'd be awesome.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Then there's a national team that pops up.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
That would I mean, I mean, they would never do
it because they'll lose too much money, but it should
absolutely happen. Baseball.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
You lose the Rockies, you lose the Who's Another Beat Cubs?

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Oh god, we've hit the Cubs get relegated. I don't
know how we were winning all those games. We lost
all of our starting pitching. We can't hit, we are
It's a free fall, man. It's like it's like my
fantasy baseball team. Dude. We had so many draft picks
and we have totally everybody on our team. It's amazing.
Everybody we draft gets hurt.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
I'm against regulation because we would have lost the Titans,
the last two years in a row. Oh, because they've
been the worst team.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
We won't even have a professional football team anymore. We'd
maybe have the lingerie girls.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Oh man, all right, everybody have a great Wednesday. Man,
oh man, I gotta talk about the soccer yet I
wrote it down. Ray goes to soccer? How could I forget?

Speaker 1 (42:40):
I told you it was that long of a weekend.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
Ray, Dude, why didn't you text me while you were there? Man,
we'll talk about it Wednesday. So we'll talk about it Wednesday.
Have a great Wednesday, or no, we'll talk about it Friday. Good, Good, Wednesday.
All right, guys, have a great Wednesday. It's already Wednesday.
I'm so confused. We gotta win tomorrow. You think they're

(43:03):
gonna win tomorrow? I mean it's at Spurs. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
Yeah, it's such a flip flop series, and it's like
it's a game of runs. Heck, yeah, they're gonna win
and it's probably gonna be a blowout. It's this has
Game seven written all over it.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
You know, I don't think it's very good. Chet Holmgren,
I don't think he's that good. I didn't think either way.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
The only thought I had after watching that game, was
where did Wemby go? For Like, from the first quarter,
from about the six minute mark to six minutes in
the second quarter, where did Wemby go?

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Like he was on the court, but where did he hide?

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Like where were the k nooks that he was at? Yeah,
Wimby cam like where was he?

Speaker 2 (43:48):
That's my yeah? He ude. They did a new show.
They did a new episode today. They said, where in
the world is Victor wim bin Yama and his shooting threes?
He's falls in love with a dude and he falls
in love with his trying to be a crossover dribbler.
It is so frustrating. But do you know in the

(44:09):
start of the fourth quarter, like we're throwing passes and
people aren't even looking, And.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
It's much more beneficial Wemby to throw the ball to
anybody on the court that's on your team and you
go under the basket everything, because then you'll get an
offensive rebound if they miss it, and they're probably a
better shooter than you are.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Yeah, and having six rebounds at seven foot four is stupid.
You can't let Hardenstein, you can't let Caruso, you can't
let Williams. You can't let them box you out, dude.
We're gonna have to get you in the weight room.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
And also, when you shoot a three, that takes you
out of the equation for the rebound. They want you
to shoot a three.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
That's what they're hoping, is that you'll shoot a three. Dude.
They are praying, Hey, just stay out there and shoot
a three, and you are playing right into their hands.
I'll send them you know what, I'll DM them. You
gotta go, Yeah, get unto the Hope Man.
