Speaker 1 (00:04):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
We are two one hundred and one days away from
the Sore Losers Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. MLK weekend twenty
twenty seven, are presenting sponsor Freeland Chevrolay.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Tickets go on sale July first. July first, we are
a mere days away from tickets being on sale. Sorelosers
dot com.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
You are looking live and we're in the city that
it is we are and I am looking live at downtown.
Is it gonna be downtown?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Oh, there's a lot of venues downtown. Everything is going
to be in the downtown area. We heard your feedback
last year that I didn't like Uber and way out
there Uber and here ubern there, and we said, hey,
my people, we hear you. We'd listen and we will
change it. Is Miguel gonna show up this year? I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
And mad props to Cam and Tye. They went saw
Boomer playing the All Star Game yesterday in Wisconsin.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Uh, coacher. I saw it and I was like, what
is going on? Did your sister stay at their house?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Maybe the tournament was in Escanaba and they crossed over
from Wisconsin. I don't specifically know, but the game was
very close to the Wisconsin border, and that's where they're from.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, I believe they. I thought they lived in Milwaukee
or Green Bay because they always go to the Packers games.
But I maybe they drive a Green Bay to see
the game. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Well, then they saw Mizerkowski. Hell of a performance, the
best I've seen since the Rocket Roger Clemens. Check out
that interview at our YouTube Sore Losers podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Em maybe Carrie Wood was a little bit better.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
That one was awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
That one was pretty darn good.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Nineteen k's or twenty twenty, that was disgusting. If you
guys got a YouTube before you go to ours, actually
after you go to ours, Yeah, look up Carrie Wood.
And while you're at it, what was the other guy's name?
Who the stud for the Cubs never made any mark
of herself. Look up some highlights from Mark Pryor Man.
I miss those Cubs.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
God, we had the foundation of being unbelievable coach.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
We got it.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
I do believe it. Maybe you might want to fact
check me, but we don't Google. But I am ninety
nine percent sure that in the draft, the Minnesota Twins
had the number one pick and they picked a catcher
by the name of Joe Mauer, and I was like,
oh my god, how are they not picking Mark Pryor?
(02:48):
They just let Mark Pryor the picture of a generation
fall into the lap of the Chicago Cubs and number
two and Joe Mauer had a longer career. Oh man,
all right.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
We're gonna do it live as the co host. That
was on me, guys for taking him down that path.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Just trying to bring up sad memories because we're gonna
talk about sad memories today.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Well, see, I said, Miserkowski, then you took it to
Wood and then that immediately made me think of Mark Pryor.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
I believe he's the pitching coach of the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yes, some of those guys, where's Waldo, Carl Malone, the Mailman,
where's Waldo? Andres Galarraga, where's Waldo? Carry Wood, where's Waldo?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
That's a great point.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
That's gonna be our segment when we just want to
ask questions about guys.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Where's Waldo.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Uh, the one trucker that came to our convention at
West Point lost thousands of dollars.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
And then and then ran a fantasy football league and
he lost and he just shut down his He just
shut down his profile.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Where Waldo?
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I know his name, I'm not gonna say it.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Who was I talking to? Oh, Scuba Steve. I was
talking this weekend. He goes. Yeah. His truck driver came
and said, not only did he lose his kiddy thousands
of dollars, he started using his gas money home to
gamble when we were at Westgate. Wow, we just talked about.
That's why I was top of mind.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
That's crazy, man, We're gonna do it live. Wo oh,
the one duode, three sore losers?
Speaker 2 (04:33):
What up? Everybody?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I am lunchbox. I know the most about sports, so
I gave you the sports facts, my sports opinions because
I'm pretty much a sports.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Genius, y'all. It says that I'm from the north. I'm
an alpha male. I live on the North side of
Nashville with Bayser, my wife still my wife. I left
her for four days ahead of Chicago, but I'm back.
Never been better. But yeah, we still got the acreage,
I'm sure I believe so. Uh Jose came over and
mowed it. Probably have a pool boy now our little
doggie pool. I posted the picture. If you guys wanted
(05:03):
to see it. I wasn't kidding. It's a foot deep.
That's legally the only thing you're allowed to have without offense.
But anyways, we got two kids at Vanderbilt. They're defrosting
Justin's and Michigan just rage texting. He hits up, Laura,
I would have loved to have known that Ray was
going to be in Chicago. Thanks, and she goes, I
didn't respond. Over to you, man, and we're gonna keep
(05:26):
it with you. You got probably a lot to talk about,
but I'll give you the floor.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Man. The event is over. Man, the NBA Finals have
come to a sad and devastating end. I told you
it was only gonna take five games. I just picked
the wrong team that was gonna win in five games.
Unfreaking believable. I still am in shock. I'm still in disbelief.
(05:57):
But it was the same script every single game. Get
up big, blow the lead in the fourth quarter, lose
at the buzzer. That's what we did every game.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Statistical scison if you want it.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, I would love to hear it.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
The Spurs led for ninety seventy five percent of the games.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Seventy five percent of the series, time the Spurs led,
and we lost in five games, not not not lost
in seven. We lost in five freaking games. I do
not understand how tight our buttholes must have gotten that
(06:39):
we puckered so bad every fourth quarter and we just
didn't understand how to play basketball. Unfreaking believable. The unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
The other statistical sison, and a little bit not factual
just because I didn't memorize the stat and we don't google.
Game one led by twelve, Game two led by fourteen team,
Game three led by six, Game four led by thirty,
Game five led by eighteen. Incorrect on a lot of those,
but it was pretty much like that.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah. Here, here's the ESPN analytics. In the four games
the Spurs lost. In Game one, up thirteen points midway
through the third, we had a ninety one point six
percent chance of winning the game. Game two, up two
points with one minute left in the fourth, seventy two
point eight percent chance of winning, Game four, up twenty
(07:34):
points with nine thirty three left in the fourth, ninety
nine point six percent chance of winning, and Game five
up ten with seven fifty four to go in the fourth,
ninety five point four percent chance to win the game,
(07:57):
and oh yeah, if you don't know why, now, we
lost every single one of those games. And I think
I read somewhere that in the NBA Finals this year,
the Knicks had the biggest comeback of all time, the
fourth biggest comeback of all time, the fifth biggest comeback
of all time, and the seventh biggot so in the
(08:18):
series that they won, they had four of the top
seven comebacks of all time in the history of the NBA,
and the.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Biggest apple of all time.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Dude, I don't even understand how we couldn't do it.
I still am perplexed at what went wrong the Knicks.
Hats off to them, gritty, savvy veterans. They are some dogs.
As Mike Brown said, oh let the dogs. Oh don't
(08:51):
ever want to hear that song again after that. But
props to the New York Knicks. They beat us. I
don't know. I mean, Dearon Fox. I tried to defend
him all series, all playoffs. He was horrendous and all
these people are so stupid. Trade Dearon Fox, Relax, Relax, relax.
(09:12):
He's gonna come back hunger, hungrier, better than ever. He's
still really good. He didn't play great. We were young
age caught up to us. I don't know. They made
everything in the fourth quarter, we made nothing. It was crazy.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
You haven't to soccer moms right now, they're bored out
of their mind. But there was a specific sequence at
the end of the game you haven't even spoken about.
And it was a miss free throw and their worst
rebounder gets the rebound and they don't follow him, so
the Spurs allow whatever. That guy's name was, Mitchell Robinson,
Mitchell Robbinson, the same guy that was in Broadway that
(09:51):
my friend Katie saw and we posted that picture. He
was right in front of us, the world champion, and
we didn't even know it. That same guy got the rebound.
He's a thirty percent free throw shooter. They should have
fouled him. Instead, they let him get the ball out.
And then they still should have just relaxed because the
(10:12):
Spurs were only down three points and the shot clock
doesn't reset to twenty four seconds. There was only twelve
seconds left on the shot clock, and so the coach
of the Spurs is telling them to foul down three.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
I think you're inaccurate on that. I think there was
like twelve seconds left in the game at that point,
there was twenty three. Yeah, okay, so then they make
a basket, then you're down to eight and you have
to make two baskets.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
They were down three.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah, but if they make a basket in that possession,
if you don't foul, then you're down to eight seconds
and they're down five.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
No, there's twelve seconds and twenty three. They're down to
eleven seconds.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Right, But then we got to get it down the
court and make a basket.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
In the NBA, apparently you get to hopscotch the other
side of the court all the time.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Can I tell you that's so stupid? How you can
call a time out and just move the ball down
the floor, like what you know.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
With point eight seconds you can get a shot off?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Like why why are you rewarded to just move the court?
Like here you go, here's a free pay. It's like,
you know, move up five spaces. What makes no sense.
I don't like that at all. I think wherever you
call the time out is where you should get the ball.
But anyway, I mean, I guess it's a flair for
the dramatic. They want it more exciting, more entertaining, you know,
more more chances for drama, I get it. No, no, I'll
(11:27):
tell you the sequences. Two sequences that we absolutely crap
the bed. There was a rebound and there wasn't a
single Nick player around. It was Victor Winman Yama at
seven foot one hundred and Devin Vassal. They both go
(11:48):
up for it. Vassal plays volleyball with it like he's
trying to juggle the damn basketball. Hot potato, hot potato,
hot potato, and it goes out of bounds underneath our basket.
So the Knicks get the ball. Do you know what
happened in that possession?
Speaker 2 (12:02):
I was in bed.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Jalen Brunson pump fakes a three we bite on it,
he jumps in, the defender gets three free throws. That's
three points right there. And then the exact play you're
talking about, the offensive rebound on a misfree throw. Why
at seven foot one hundred is Victor Wimbenyama face guarding
Mitchell Robinson. You weren't even looking to get the ball.
(12:27):
Put your ass into him and put your arms up
and try to catch it. Face guarding gives you zero
percent chance of catching the damn ball. And dearon Fox
was oh for one hundred. But he has the confidence
of a freaking maniac. He has Michael Jordan confidence and
de Aaron Fox shooting. He just gets the ball and
(12:49):
whoop shoots a three. But we just lost. The Knicks
were better. I am stunned. They were better og Ananobia.
Still thing was the MVP dude was unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
They say, put a statue of him in Central Perk
friends reference.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
I don't really know what else they did, Like, I mean.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
They had thirteen points midway through the second quarter. I
went to bed, I said, I'll punt, I'll watch the
next game. Spurs got this one. I woke up in
the morning shocked, lay well, there isn't going to be
a next one. When this Spur the Knicks couldn't make anything.
On Saturday night, I was like, oh, Spurs win this
by thirty. I think they're up twenty.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Oh yeah, we're We're always up by a lot of points.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
We were double digit lead in the first quarter every game,
every single game.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I swear guys low key flex. I got a digital
monitor in the kitchen that shows sports scores. The next day,
when it said Nicks ninety four to ninety. I swear
to god, I was like, oh, I was an earlier
series game that I thought my thing glitched. I thought
there was a power outage. I am not that made.
I couldn't understand how they won by four when they
were down by thirty. I was like, no, it must
have glitched. Had to go on ESPN to verify it.
(14:03):
My little scroll in the kitchen wasn't wrong. It indeed
was ninety four to ninety.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
It was bad. Stephan Castle had his worst game of
the playoffs Game whatever five, that was whatever, Game five,
whatever we lost in it sucked. It hurt. But you
could see the riding on the wall. In the middle
of the third it started, everything started churning, just like
it did in the game's previous and you're like, how
(14:29):
does this happen every single game? Should we maybe switch
up the lineups, a coach, maybe bringing Harrison Barnes. Everybody
thinks he's washed, but give him a chance. Man. You
can't just do the same thing over and over and
over again. If the same thing is over and over
again it's not working, Guess what's going to happen the
next time. It's not going to work. Cornett his minutes
(14:51):
were terrible. I love him in the regular season, his hustle.
He did great in the OKC series, but man, he battles,
but it it was bad. Man. I don't know what
to say. I have no idea what to say. It sucks.
It hurts. They did it on our home court. There's
so many Knicks fans there.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
On some of one of our employees with the company
had no idea was a Knicks fan. But big Knicks fan.
Oh really, Jackie, she's a huge Knicks fan.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
I've never seen her post anything about the Knicks.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
But she did though after they won it.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
She's shocked.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
She has been a huge Knicks fan.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Everybody jump on that bandwagon. Taylor Swift, jump on that bandwagon.
Shameal Litt jump on the bandwagon. I mean, I'll never
watch a Shamblette movie now.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Taylor Swift is a Knicks.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Fan, right exactly? Stop? Like, what are we talking about?
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Oh, Kelsey Ballerini after the game? Love this city blue
and orange?
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Stop?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Yeah she lives there. I guess No, you're a predator,
Chelsea Kelsey, you're Nashville. You ain't no Knicks fan. Love
this city? This is your city where We're predators, were
Go Tits or whatever the Titans nicknames. That's her teams.
Check her posts. She hasn't been a Knicks fan before.
(16:09):
And I'm gonna find them all the people that jumped
on the bandwagon. I will not stop until I found
every one of them all, Taylor Swift, Chelsea Ballerini, probably
Chase Stokes too. You just said Chalmet's been there since
day one. Yeah, I know, Ben Stone, Jackie our public
relations girl, she bandwagon. I'll find them all.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah. And I watched the post game. I watched everything,
and I will say Wimby, it looked a bad look
on Wimby and I think Castle maybe they both left
the court without shaking the Knicks hands. That's not a
good look. Gotta lose with Grace, man, I know you're
young and dumb and saying when we said the worst
thing is, there's a hundred games till we get back there.
(16:52):
I love the confidence. It's gonna fuel the spurs. You
lose and then you get in the lab. But Wimby
has to develop an often like he has no moves whatsoever.
In the post he doesn't have anything. He just kind
of is tall and throws it up and if he
gets a running start, he can get past you. But
he has no moves. He gets the ball, he can't
(17:13):
do anything. Gotta learn that. We'll get better. Like It's
like the Spurs when they lost to the Heat, when
Ray Allen hit that corner three.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I was in bed for that. You were a room over.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah, And when that happened, that fueled the Spurs. The
next year we were on a I mean, we absolutely
wrecked the NBA. The next year wrecked the NBA. So,
I mean, it's gonna be tough because the thunder are
gonna be freaking good. There'll be a few other good teams,
but we're gonna get better. Keldon Johnson man sixth Man
(17:46):
of the Year. He was awful, awful in the playoffs.
I don't know, maybe six Man of the year. They
don't play defense in the regular season. But he was
just lost. Work on his shot, get some moves. We're
gonna be better. Go Spurs go. I'm depressed. God, remember
when I was so confident? So confident? God, where was
(18:11):
that confidence from? My dad even texted me, goes, I
hate the Spurs. Won't take a break right back. It's
the girl that got away Ray, Yeah, I don't know
if you and Scoopa listen to the pod? Did you
listen to the pod at all?
Speaker 2 (18:26):
And I got some reviews for you anonymous sources. They said,
me by myself horrible. They said you by yourself dreadful, atrocious.
Oh man, they said, if there isn't more of an
obvious thing as to us just always doing pods together,
(18:47):
they don't know what to say because both of us
solo are freaking cooked. They're like, it was a god awful.
But they also said I was bad.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Who was it?
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Boomer and my sister dang it? I said, I was
gonna keep it out of its Oh man, I said,
you kept yelling the F word.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Well I did get mad.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
A couple of the Boomers said, hunt the way he
just kept.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yelling, There was a couple of F bombs. I was like.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
And then one of the bed they were driving on
their road trip and then it would just be like, oh,
they're finally all relaxed into their drive their road trip
and listen to the pod and then they'd hear boo.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
One of those was about Taylor Swift being there, Like
what the is that? Like? What you were not a
sit in the front row. And that's the hard part. Here,
here's the hard part, and San Antonio having all those
Knicks fans on the front front row. I don't know
how you prevent that, because all Knicks fans have so
much money that you can't stop it. But I thought
the Spurs should upgrade their season ticket members that don't
(19:56):
sell their tickets, put them on the front row, and
only make the tickets back there available for sale at
the same price. But I don't know if that works.
I don't know how you combat it.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
But yeah, you don't know economics, No.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
I don't. They're making money. It sucks it.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
I texted you there was way too many Knicks fans
at that game.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Well, I wasn't watching the game live, so my phone
was off. I didn't get your text till the game
was over.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Well, I was already in bed by the time you
got the text.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yes, And so what's funny is we were out doing
things on Saturday, and so I wasn't gonna be able
to watch the game live. So I hit the record everything,
turned off the phone, and we get home and baby
Box it's already like nine o'clock and he's like, oh, Dad, Dad,
I gotta watch the Spurs game. I was like, no, man,
it's a little late. It's a little late. We got
to go to bed, you know what I mean. And
(20:43):
he was like, oh, so you're gonna go to bend
just watch it in the morning. I'm like, yeah, man,
I'm just gonna go to bed and watch it in
the morning. And he goes, okay, I'll just watch it
with you. And then the other kids are like, Dad,
but we want to watch the game. I was like, well,
we'll watch it in the morning. We'll watch it in
the morning. Okay, Well night, dad, I know you're not
going to watch the game. Yeah, you're right. I'm not
gonna watch the game late that night.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Dad's wailing and crying.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Like that night they're here and slamming upstairs and yelling and.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Daddy's beating Mam again, and that's not funny.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
At one point, I was playing defense po.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Thanks man, you should have got that rebound? Were you
face guarding? And I'm bending the knees on the free throws.
I'm doing everything I can to help the Spurs win.
I mean, we're under two minutes to go, our our
seasons on the line, and you're up.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Six right, I don't. I don't know what the score
was at this time. We may have been up two,
it may have been tied, we may have been up one.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
I don't know. Well, as a player, you need to
know the score.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
But I don't remember. Okay, that was three days ago
and I'm up in front of the TV doing this.
I turned around to my wife and I said, I'm
forty four. I'm too old to do this, Like, I
look so stupid in my living room.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
You're just trying to get one more game out of
this season.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I was trying to get one more freaking game out
of this season.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
I thought it was a shoe in one more game.
I was like, Oh, I guess I'm staying up late
Monday night. But I will say it hurts really bad.
It has to, because I mean, this championship was on
at plate for you guys.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
It was on a plate on a platter. We led
for seventy two percent. Whatever you said of the series.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
But what I will say is I was listening to
a different podcast at this time, and her boyfriend was
a Knicks fan. So I was watching the games last
year a little bit closer, and I believe they're playing Pacers,
people like that. The Knicks were sneaky good. They were
winning games. Nobody thought they were gonna win. I believe
they had the same nucleus. It's still that thing we're
now seeing where they have heart Brunteles, Brussels, Brunson and
(22:34):
the other guy Bridges, so that nucleus. They were oddly
look around a corner in a dark galley good they were.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
They were.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
I mean, so this didn't come out of nowhere. Some
of these experts should have at least been given us
some warning that this freight train was coming, because even
in the finals, it was like the Spurs were the
over favorite. Like the experts still didn't know about this
(23:06):
sneaky good Knicks team. The next team that when I
was in Charleston be an Atlanta team by ninety points,
the biggest win in the history of the NBA, and
the experts still said it's either okay see or the Spurs.
This year, nobody saw this team coming and it was
right in front of us.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
We led for seventy two percent of the series, So
I mean, they were the experts were right. They just
didn't realize that we were gonna vomit all over ourselves
every fourth quarter. They didn't realize that we were just
gonna puke all over the court.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I will say that had to be brutal to watch.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
It was brutal to watch. I mean, as a fan,
it was so brutal, so brutal. I talked to one
of my buddies and he said he was at a
watch party and he goes, you could feel the nervous
energy in the like knowing, oh my god, we're gonna
blow this lead, like we do every freaking game.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
The maybe not a great analogy. When Colt McCoy got
hurt first play of the game and during the National Championship.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Garrett Gilbert came in.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
I was headed over to Billy's house and I pot parked,
got in the door, and everybody the vibe was so
high as he's playing Colt McCoy, he gets hurt first
play the game. I mean, Billy's party cleared out faster
than New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. It was a mass
evacuation when the quarterback got hurt.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
You know my favorite thing about that is is people
start posting on Facebook. I mean, this is one of
our sales girls at the time she posted it. I
can't believe Colt McCoy would just sit out to you know,
improve his draft status. He was worried that his draft
status would you know, drop, so he didn't go back
in the game. How dumb people online are about how
(24:56):
you think they would just sit out. No, that is
the the biggest game of their life. They want. They
would do anything to be out there to say he
didn't play because of his draft status. Like, stop the insanity.
I remember the post vividly, just thinking, guys, these are
the ultimate competitors in this world. They're not just sitting
(25:18):
out for fun.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
And also that shows how removed we are for being
a professional athlete. The Knicks guys out all night. The
excitement they have of this championship shows in all their videos.
But what you're not seeing is the Spurs. It is cold,
dark and lonely. Do they want to be in Cancun
with their families right now? No? I mean this next
month is gonna be brutal for them. You don't think
(25:42):
lunch has replayed the last couple of minutes. What do
you think it's like for Wemby and you are face
guarding a guy instead of boxing out wit dude? Some
of these players. I'm saying it right now. I don't
like to go better help, but I would say seek
out a psychologist, No, somebody good that can help you out. Dude.
They are in a lonely place right now, especially the
(26:03):
guys that are getting scapegoaded. But I mean the whole
team as a whole, because they have to think. Man,
we won the championship on paper, but we didn't.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
No, No, we won it for seventy two percent. Dude,
I'm twenty two percent of the minutes that were played
in that NBA Finals. We let the freaking game. The
Knicks only led for twenty eight percent of the minutes,
and they're NBA champions.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Truckers, Listen, you guys know when you get that load,
when you you know, when you accidentally didn't fill up
and you go back and boss says, hey, you didn't
get the full load you did. The job isn't done.
How was it that whole weekend you keep replaying in
your head how you're supposed to grab that other palette
that you forgot, and then your boss is gonna yell
(26:50):
at you, and all these commenters are gonna yell at you.
Do You got to make sure the job's done. Truckers.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Oh man, what I mean? What a season? Though? Man,
the future is bright, the future is bright.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
I would to say they did. They watched film. They
had to have there's the Spurs. They wanted to just
see it because you want to how did that fall apart?
They've I always think that they players don't watch it.
For sure, the winners are watching it, but the losers
I think they did too, because they really do want
to know how did that? I guarantee you for hours
after that, they're like, honestly, how did that happen? Like
(27:25):
I need to know the exact moments where that happened.
The drop out of balance? They not boxing out the
foul on a three pointer? Uh, playing juggling with the
basketball and then just throwing it at a balance.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Yeah yeah, man, But did you watch USA soccer?
Speaker 2 (27:44):
No? My god, dude, with replaying highlights, why do you
have to watch them? I saw the clips. I saw
all the USA women going crazy. I saw it.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
I didn't see the USA women going crazy.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Oh, Charleston renn out a bar barn. It was hundreds
of people deep in this barn and they were recording everything.
So every goal you have, every girl in Charleston going
Buck Wilde.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
It's been I mean that that was probably the best
I've ever seen USA soccer play.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
And then I see I was trying to explain it
to people blindly. Paraguay is supposed to be good.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
They're not bad. They're like in the South Africa and
the South American like qualifying. I guess they were the
best defensive team. They beat Brazil like they're not bad,
and we absolutely wiped the floor with them.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
It was amazing. Was that Friday Friday? Okay see, I
was traveling all day. It was phenomenal. Dude.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
The kids were like, Dad, Dad, we got to stay
up watch the game. We were at the pool and
we left the pool at seven point fifty and we
were home by seven fifty eight, and we all got
our USA gear on. We turned that TV on and
they watched it and at halftime they're struggling and Baby
Box two is like, can I watch it in the morning.
I'm like, yeah, let's go to bed, and then baby
(28:57):
Box one was like I'm staying wait, I'm not going
to bed. So the baby Box two is like, I'm
staying awake. Then I'm not going to bed. Baby Box
three is like, I'm gonna watch the end of the game,
all right, turn on the second half. Down goes mom,
down goes baby Box two. No, baby Box three, then
baby Box one, then baby Box two. All three passed
(29:18):
out by the sixty fifth minute.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
I Sports Center said we lost our best player. He
didn't say that we lost the three boxes.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, they were out. They were comatost. I finished the game,
and uh then I had to carry the three children
to their bed, and the oldest one, baby Box, he
woke up when I was carrying them and he let
me carry them all the way to his bed and
he goes, oh, I gotta go to the bathroom. He
(29:44):
gets up and walks up to the bathroom. I'm like, really, like,
you were awake. Why didn't you just say that when
I woke you up on the couch and I picked
you up.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
I was trying to be super dad.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
But man, it was awesome. It felt so good. And
if you have not been on social media, and if
you are not in thrown with everything World Cup, I
don't know what's wrong with you. These videos of fans.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Cleaning up trash, no, not clean up trash.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
So the Netherlands marching to the in Dallas, the Scottish
in Boston, and then they went to a Yankees game
or a Red Sox game and they're chanting in the
outfield all the Scottish people. Dude, it is phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
But did you also see people would like book tours
in New York City from out of town during the
championship parade, like during the cars burning and stuff. So
there was these people leading a tour from Brazil or
something during all the cars burning and stuff in New York,
so they had to turn the tour around.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
I mean, it's just so crazy that there's people from
other countries in America because of World Cup. Yeah, it
shows them watching there's video of them watching the Knicks
game and they're trying to fit in and act like
they know what's going on. And it's this guy with
glasses on and he just keeps looking around trying to
figure out what's going on. He just went to a
bar to have a drink, and these fans are going
(31:03):
buck wild for the first time in fifty three years.
Then there was one of these Scottish dudes.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
They got an airbnb in Boston, right and at six
am they're out there playing the bagpipes.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Right was their game in Boston?
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah, Oka, and someone in the neighborhood filmed it. It
goes viral and so now these Scottish people went over
to the dude's house that film, then had breakfast with
his wife and kids, and some Scottish lady from Scotland
got online and bought the dude a ticket so he
could go to the Scotland game with those guys.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
It's phenomenal, it is so great.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
And then I saw that there was a guy, some
guys from Scotland and some guys from Haiti. They were
having a dance off before the game. I mean, it's
it's amazing the Netherlands, Haiti is in it. Yeah what
was that score? They only lost one? Nothing? Oh well,
they're about to get crushed.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
I saw Curisy be like nine to one because beautiful beaches.
Guys went there, Kevin went there for his honeymoon. We
went there as well.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
But Haiti's about to play like Brazil and they're gonna
get beat one hundred to nothing. They're gonna play Morocco,
They're gonna get beat fifty to nothing.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
What was our saying for take me to a Ruba.
We went to a Ruba Curisow we've also heard as
beautiful beaches. Kevin did not go to Curisow. He also
went to Aruba.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yeah, but I mean, if you're not this World Cup fever,
if you're not watching these videos just getting excitement, seeing
all the fans marching to the stadium, the electric atmospheres everywhere,
I don't know what's wrong with you. But we're gonna
take a break and we'll be right back. Us say us,
say amazing. And oh yeah in the Carolina Hurricanes, they
won the Stanley Cup last night. Congratulations to them.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
We'll be right back, pretty top heavy with sports.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Yeah, you know what we we we never found out.
It's last week. I talked about how in the mornings
do you go out and look out on the balcony
and enjoy the view of the city, And you said, oh,
I don't go out there anymore. I'm terrified. And I
don't know if there's something with heights, if there's something
with the window washers coming down and dropping their water
(33:09):
on you. We never readdressed.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
It never well, and it just overcame and overtook me.
The other day, I was out there. It was late
at night, and I was thinking, all it would take
is somebody to come up to you while you're right
next to the balcony and it's twelve. No, we're four six.
So maybe because of the parking garage it's different, but
(33:32):
we're like seven floors up one hundred feet. I mean,
all it would take is one person to push you over,
and I mean you'd die.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
So, like I'm sitting there in my most relaxed mode,
checking out Broadway, checking out where we're going to have
the convention, kind of mapping out in my head all
the spots I need to be, mapping out what hotel
I'm gonna be booking. I'm in a state of daydream.
All it would take is one and in person. Would
they have to gain access to our building? Yes? Could
(34:03):
it be a coworker, Yes.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
They have to gain access to our building. But no,
they would have to gain access to our floor. So
that's two different accesses they would have to access.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
But it could also be somebody that has access, just
a coworker kidding around maybe and they come and push me,
kind of joke around, but I fall. I would die.
So I if there's anybody else in this building, I
don't go on that patio.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
I mean, you're one undred percent right you would. If
you fail, you're dying because it's straight concrete, so it's
not like you could accidentally land on some grass or
some mud or like a tree. It's street like.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
If you go out on that patio, you better go
out there with people that you trust, right, name some
people you don't.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Yeah, I was like at that time, at like three
in the morning, there's no one here, am I You
got that surprise? You get surprise people?
Speaker 2 (34:54):
What about Homie goes Hey, don't like to scare people.
I'm glad you didn't come up behind me in the balcony.
So I just had that thought and I thought I'd
throw to you. So when you guys sometimes i'll see you.
Eddie Bone not bone E Bones goes out.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
There, which is surprising.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Amy Morgan will float out there. I mean, you're just
right next to a balcony that goes up to like
tit level that you just kind of lose your balance
and get touched a loot pushed, you're falling ten floors.
You're dead.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
I mean that's anywhere you go. You go to a
baseball game, you sit on the front row with up
or deck. I mean the person behind you could get
mad because you caught the foul ball and they could
just whoop. Well, I mean I have that same thought there, dude,
did you see the person on the bungees or whatever?
And where was that Brazil?
Speaker 2 (35:44):
I don't know, but it was It almost looked not real,
but it was real.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
It was so real.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
But I mean, I'm not doing that. What the That's
then that goes ties in perfectly with my balcony fear.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
I was like, this has to be a I yeah,
but it's not.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
The person. They just didn't put the bungee stuff on
her legs and threw her and there was.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
No cords, Like, no freaking chords. It's like what and
why is the video on the line. Yeah, we don't
need to see that.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
And somebody was also filming and didn't see a rope
or anything, like nobody saw them ting see the ropes
laying on the ground, and it was like there wasn't
multiple fail safs. It was just you forget one little
rope on a leg and they have nothing on them.
So that's what I'm saying. We were a little too trusting.
I guess I was fine at Bell's Bluff because I
(36:39):
knew I wasn't gonna die. But there were times we
were partying. I was like, dang, if I like kind
of got pushed in this party, I'd fall over it.
But I wouldn't. At Bell's Bluff. I knew I wouldn't
die here. You're high enough off. If you fall off
the balcon you're gonna die.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
So I mean football games, well, you're standing up cheering.
I mean yes, I would put flags up for facilities
back at Texas State, and I was like, huh man,
one gust to wind I fall, I'm dead. There's no
I don't have any bungee cores on me. So the
same thing with upper decks at football games and baseball
games and stuff. Yeah, I have that feeling.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Yeah, it's weird because there's one time I was in
North Carolina and there was this waterfall and I was
above the waterfall right and and people were like, hey,
be careful, it's very slipper, and I'm like yay, and
me being in my mid twenties, I was like, I'll
just go across, no problem. And I'm kind of going
out in that water all fast. I slip. I mean boom,
(37:36):
and there's probably a seven year old kids standing there.
I take his legs out.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
You want to tell this story, and we're going and
I grab him right. I didn't see him every again.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
And I'm lucky that I was able to get my
feet down before the waterfall. And I mean for years
after that, I had this like sensation, like like a
little bit of fear of like, oh my god, it
was almost over. And so like when I go to
a stadium or something, I'd be like, oh, I can't
get near the edge, but I'm better now, Like it
was just like I and it it was really scary
(38:09):
because I knocked that kid over. Oh my god, what
if I wouldn't able to grab that kid.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Dude in Costa Rica, we went on a tour with
our teacher and he goes, I think there's a waterfall
people go to and jump off of. I mean, it
depends on the rain, how deep the thing's going to
be there.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Oh god.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
South Beach was the first one that went.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Off without testing the water below.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
It was the first one, so that's the most dangerous.
And South Beach goes, Dude, jump in the exact middle.
He goes, if I would have been an inch over
to the left, mooard, there are rocks over there, And
he didn't tell us that because the rain had gone
down a little bit and there were rocks that were hidden.
South Beach is like, literally jump in the very middle.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
So do you jump literally in the middle.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Do you not jump?
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (38:53):
No, We jumped in the middle because that's the only
way to go on the route. Otherwise you're just South
Beeach had already jump, so we had to jump. It
was a trail. You only can go one way. Oh
and South Peach gos guy, no, hey, seriously, seriously jump
in the middle. And the teacher speaks broken English. Tourists
through this all the time. South Beach goes, dude, if
(39:14):
I'm telling you to the outside of that, it's there
are rocks and if you hit your you're gonna break
your leg for sure. I'm not in that's not even
talking diving her head or any of that. So we
jumped in the middle. I gotta find that picture.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, speaking of trusting, my wife and I we went
whitewater rafting in North Carolina. I mean there wasn't the
rafting was not crazy. I want to go to like
Colorado where it's really crazy. I want to do real
white water rafting.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
No, you don't.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Why it's wild it looks awesome.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
No, because I've heard story. I mean, you can almost
drown in that too, where you fall out of it.
You for sure fall out of it. And guess what
when you push down off the ground, it's not hard ground.
They'll say that. I've heard horror stories like a sand
and you try to push off and then you got
rapids and stuff like that. It's like people that have
almost drowned. They're like, never whitewater raft Well, it looks
awesome because I'm from there. No, I know you are. Yeah,
(40:03):
I understand. People said, now five level, five level second,
Never do it. Almost drowned, almost died.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Well, I'm it's something that intrigues me. But anyway, speaking
of being trusting, my wife and I went in North
Carolina and there was this one spot where the guy's like, oh,
you can jump off here, and it's a natural body side.
You'll go under the water and you'll be underwater for
like three seconds and it'll pop you right back up.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
What if I don't pop?
Speaker 1 (40:28):
And he goes, so don't panic, And so he does
it and he's under the water and you're like, whoop,
he pops up. I'm like, oh man, then what this
guy's a genius? Why don't I do that? And I
did it? Whoop popped up? And my wife did it?
Woop popped up. She's like, why did we do that?
(40:50):
Why did we trust that guy? Why?
Speaker 2 (40:52):
What?
Speaker 1 (40:52):
I mean, what the hell was that? Why? How are
we so stupid that we just went underwater? You know? Agreed?
What if the water's swirling different to for sure? He
doesn't know that the water swirls the same way every
single day. She's like, that was the dumbest thing we've
ever done.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Because of whatever the rotation that'll make you pop up.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Yeah, whatever it is, it made you pop up. But
she goes, what if there's a lot of rain and
the rotation got messed up and it was forcing you
down farther?
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Bro, I was listening to a guy who spoke broken
English say he's heard people have jumped off this before,
and South Beach went first. You know what, mad props
is South Beach were doing that? I just remembered that.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Yeah, but hey, guys, I mean what a weekend. I mean,
I promise Wednesdays will not be as spurs heavy we
just had to touch on it. We have to let
the emotions out. The last two pods have been Spurs heavy,
my emotions, my state. And you know what's funny is
I posted on Instagram like the title was, you know,
(41:50):
how do you solve depression? And people that don't listen
to the pod idiots they kept They were like saying, oh,
we'll pray for you. You need to get to see
a doctor. You have a beautiful family. You know you
can't be depressed. Like there's help out there.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
We're here for you, and we have our new angle.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
And I'm like, guys, guys, like, if you listen to
the pod, it was because the Spurs lost. Even my
sister's best friend growing up reached out. She goes, how
can you be depressed during the World Cup? And I
said the Spurs lost and she goes, valid.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
That might need to be our new posting techechnique.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Yeah, because I mean, what is it feeling yourself?
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Ray? We go with more vulnerability.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Right, Feeling yourself is all about depression? Right, And they
get great ratings.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
And then touch yourself personally whatever. I don't really know
the specific titles, but they all do. They're very emotional.
They're very more in touch with their feelings, which we're not.
We are not, so it actually might be something we
want to venture and do.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Yeah, but you can. You can always email us. We
are the sore losers at gmail dot com. Happy Monday,
We're out.
Speaker 2 (42:50):

Speaker 1 (43:00):

He must be a good brother. He comes all the conventions.
I mean, I don't know, he's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Did you see the group that went to like Mexico
to renew the vows?
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Yeah, dude, it.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
Was Phenomenalia and the Martinez Is For whatever reason, they
keep popping up on the Facebook. B know what I'm saying.
That trip they all went on.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
Yeah, it looked great, and I thought it was just
something like like drunken, like, oh, let's renew our vowels,
Like no, this is like planned out. They like had
matching dresses and stuff.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
That's I was gonna say. They were all dressed up.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
Yeah. Yeah, I was like, oh, okay, this is like
a real thing.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
I didn't see everybody in that picture though.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Well, I mean I wasn't there. You weren't there. We
didn't get the invite.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
And put my finger on it. There's somebody missing from
it though.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Uh was Calloway in it? I didn't see Calloway. I
have a good Monday, guys, Audios. Yeah, this is us
ending the pot. You can go now back
