Speaker 1 (00:01):
So many good ideas, man, and then you get to
talking and I forget them all.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
No, I mean I don't. I don't try to dominate conversations.
That is not my style.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
But I came in here the other day with two
amazing bits. One of them was a puncture hole in
the dawn Duck dish soap.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, and that's for a few weeks from now.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
So that was one of my great ideas. And the
other one was a guy in the breakroom. And then
it just left on the cutting room floor.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
You never mentioned the guy in the breakroom. Not one
time did you say, hey man, there was this guy
in the breakroom. I'd like to talk about it. And
when you did this morning, I said, yes, Ray, we
would love to talk about it. So maybe maybe, I mean,
if you have these crazy ideas, I don't know, say
them when you walk in fire off an email at

(00:49):
one am, when you're up here twiddling your thumbs, playing
pocket pool whatever you do, looking at the homeless women
down on Broadway and you're standing on the balcony and
you got your hand in your say hey man, got
this idea for this guy in the break room.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Because I check my email every morning I don't go
on that balcon anymore. Too scared you ever thought about it.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Let's get the show started and then get into that one,
get into a guy in the break room, and then
get into our bathroom habits. If we have nothing else
to talk about, Oh, we got something.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
To talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
We're gonna do it live. What's up, guys. We are
a spinoff show of The Big Show, The Bobby Bone Show,
or The Sore Losers Podcast. This is gonna be our
intro and it's not recorded because we'll probably mess up
during it. This is about to be live.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Oh, the one, two, three, Sore Losers?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
What up, everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most
about sports, so I'll give you the sports facts, my
sports opinions, because I'm pretty much a.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Sports genius, y'all. It's Sisson. I'm from the North. I'm
an alpha male. I live on the North side of Nashville.
My wife an Indian lake, two point three acres, two kids,
eggs in fact at Vanderbilt Clinic being frozen for five
hundred dollars a year. Justin's supposed to be looking after them.
He moved to Michigan. He's now a traveling RN and

(02:14):
so I believe the eggs are defrosting. More on that,
I'm sure farther on down the road, coach over to you.
But first, before I go over to you, back over
to me. Because we are exactly around two hundred days
away from the Soil Losers Convention presented by Freeland chev Away.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I forgot what we were doing. I was like, what
Ambreeland Chevrolet. And speaking of I did see Marisol from
Stage Pilot yesterday out in the while, I went to
a dog place and there she was sitting there working
on her computer saying, Hey, man, the on sales looking good.
Gonna have it on July first. If you guys have
any material you want to send me, send it to me, pictures, videos,

(03:00):
so she can put it on the page.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
And for anybody wondering who the is Marisol stage Pilot,
she's the one that helps us run the back end
and does all the organization of ticket on sale things
like that, make sure everything is connected and works. And
speaking of connected guys, we couldn't be happier to be
with Freeland. And right now I'm in bed with them.
I'm in a literally huge car debacle. Either I'm getting

(03:25):
a new car, My old car is gonna get parted.
I have no idea. So every day I'm texting Lewis,
Richard and Kevin. Their communication is phenomenal. Before I go
to bed, I talked to them before I talk to
my wife. So Freeland Chevrolet love those guys. Literally pillow
talk over to you, coach, but probably back over to me.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I mean, I just wanted to say good morning to you,
and now I want to send it back over to you, coach.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I wish we did this show because it's old school newscast.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
It's so dumb. It is so dumb, it is so.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
No But I'm an old school newscaster at heart.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
We are so ridiculous. We sound so stupid. Dude, Well,
good morning and welcome in. I'm back over to you.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I love the back over to you. All right, you
gotta hear this.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I gotta hear it. I'm ready, man. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
It's been burning a hole in my pocket for a
couple of days now. So I'm in here at two am.
You know the drill. I understand it every morning, and
this is kinda the tail end to CMA Fest. So
there's still a CMA Fest in the air, and it's
never anybody in this building besides me. Never, not at

(04:38):
two am, No, nope, And I am just there eating.
Had some leftover ten Dy's from the weekend Baser gave me.
She blessed me with them. She said, please take them
to work. I want you to have a good day
at work.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
You ate, you eat at two am?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, that's usually my first meal. Interesting, go ahead, next
meal is before you idiots get in, and then third
meal is sometime in the afternoon. So I am just
having a good old meal. And bro I'm daydreaming. I'm
already thinking about how I'm gonna wash my hands with
a punctured dawn jar with baby duck soap in it.
And all I hear is hey, like an audible hey. Oh,

(05:19):
and it's like over my shoulder. Do you think about
takeoff running this dude? Not when he the it's auto lights.
I had already turned on the auto lights by going
in the kitchen, so the lights weren't gonna trigger this.
He waits to say hey until he's about a foot
from my butt.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
In deed to be whoa hey he was coming from
the backside.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Dude, I look like this with a tend in my
mouth and he goes, sorry, didn't want to scare you
or anything. Trying to do some work up here in
the building. And I believe he was from the neighboring
partnering label Country Magazine, maybe doing some last second reports
at the tail end of CMA FA tall guy, short guy,
tall guy, shut, unbuttoned hair, unkempt, smell like booze, and

(06:10):
I don't know if he should have been writing that
paper after a couple of drinks or whatever news report
he was doing it.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
No, it's okay because now you have what they call AI,
so if you make any mistakes or autocorrect, it's okay
to write it drunk and then be like does this
make sense and let me format it for you? So rewind, okay, rebound.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Hey, you didn't want to scare anybody, Oh you will,
are already a foot d to b from me, and
you kind of startled me. So no worries. Everything's all
good now. And then he just rifles through the fridge
like he has something in there. It's our fridge, it's
all of our stuff.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
But he works here, so he could have stuff in there.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
No he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
He's like, uh no, no, no, he has to work here.
If he got into this building, he doesn't. Nobody lets
that guy in because there's no one here. There's no
secretary at the front, there's no anybody. He works here
in some capacity that you don't realize.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Writing articles for a sister, brother, cousin, partnering business maybe,
and they somebody gave him a keyfob. But he did
a fake look through the fridge, didn't steal anybody's stuff,
but acted like he was doing something. And then it
was like, oh crap, there's no leftover pizza. Shuts the fridge.
So I think that's the end of this guy. Okay.

(07:31):
An hour later, I've done some programming and stuff. I'm
gonna go to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
All right, we're talk at number one, number two, Number one,
got it? I go into the bathroom round the corner.
You ever, do you ever had to number two in
the like before? No, your body clock's not like that.
No body clock, man, stay away from the coffee, right,
I gotta say no, No, I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you something.
In the last year, all of a sudden, when I

(07:56):
wake up, first thing I had to do is number two.
It's unbelievable. I never had that in my entire life,
and now all of a sudden with it. I mean,
ever since I turned forty four years old. It is
the first thing I have to do in the morning.
And so so you're going to the bath sorry, back
on the tracks. So I'm in there, and I'm going

(08:18):
to the bathroom, and I hear oh no, oh, no oh.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
I mean get in scare me this time I smelled
you around the corner. So he was here not to
use our computers to write an article. He was here
to rifle through our fridge, startle employees, and use our slitter.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Well, to be fair, it was an hour later, so
he may have got some work done in the middle
of the hour. He maybe got the beer slit, you know.
He was like, Oh, the beer slits are here early.
They're usually a little bit later, but the beer slitz
are here. I got to go into that bathroom. There's
only one person in this entire building. No chance they're

(09:11):
going to come in at that time. But also, if
you're here at that time, if you're here at two
to three am and you got the beer schlitz, just
go in the women's restroom that way. There's no way
the other guy that you just saw in the hallway
in the kitchen eating the tendies. You poked him with
your poll from behind. There's no way he's going to

(09:31):
walk in on you if you're in the women's restroom.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Okay, So to whoever decided that it was a generous
gesture on behalf of our company to reach out our
hand to our brethren who are in town for cmafest,
may we not do it again in twenty twenty seven,
because boy, our toilet wasn't cleaned for four hours after that,

(09:56):
and luckily our fridge didn't have every thing ransacked because
he had sticky fingers.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Well, they did just do a clean out. I mean
we got an email last week saying, hey, fridge clean
out is today. So maybe whatever food he had left
in there from last week, that's why he was rifling through, going, man,
where'd it go? And he didn't see the email. And
also so when you see him in the kitchen and
it's you two at two am looking at each other's eyes,

(10:24):
you over your right shoulder, him you know, right behind
you with your hand, his hands on your hips, you
guys didn't exchange Hey man, I'm sissing Raymundo, Hey man,
I'm so and so I do this. You guys didn't
do any of that. It was just Hey, Hey, didn't
want to scare you. And next thing you know, his
head and arms are in the fridge. What really threw

(10:44):
him was I was camped out eating there, so he
could really throws you off, right, So I.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Mean I was using the sink, let's say, as a
TV trace, so he couldn't just stay there and continue
to fake. Look he was hoping. I was just maybe
in there for a second and then I was out
and then he could do whatever he needed to do
to the fridges. But by me being there, it threw
him totally off. He did the most fake double open
fridge I've ever seen in my life, and you're right,

(11:11):
it was cleaned out, which totally threw him off. So
he couldn't even grab a condiment and fake like he
needed to catch up. So he just then closed it,
and I believe I was continuing eating and he was
gone after. Hey didn't want to scare anybody. Hair's all
fed up, shirts, half on button. He's been sweating at
cmafes for the past four days. No worries, man, I

(11:34):
could smell you a sweat whys And later I'm gonna
find out the other end of you all smell that
as well.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
So when you're eating, you're not sitting down at the table,
you're standing up at the sink.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
It was a dry by. I just did a good tendy.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Man, that's just crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
So he wasn't prepared for guys standing up at the
sink eating at tend at two am.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
No, for sure not. He was thinking two am he
had the place to himself, that he was going to
do some business, whatever he had to do, maybe try
to sober up a little bit before he headed home.
And then you rocked his world because he's like, who
would be in the building at two am? And he
found you like a little rat eating a little hinde
eating he's ah, and he threw his whole night off.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I should have got him a cold press though, because
he was sweating.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Yeah, yeah, he should have got his name too.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I could find him because I know I know who.
He's a writer. Like if you go to an artist
number one party on Tuesday, hopefully today isn't Tuesday, I
guarantee you he's there. So he works for some publication,
don't know which one, don't know his name, But I've
seen him a handful of times in.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Industry type outing, but never in this building. No, he
doesn't sit when you're walking down the hallway on the
right side. Over there in the corner where all those
people that I don't know what they do, I've never
seen him. They're not in sales. They do something. He
doesn't sit over there. Because you said he writes, right,
because we have that one lady that I mean, she
hadn't been to the office in twenty six years and

(13:05):
she writes for something.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I think she retired. No, there was one employee.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
There was one.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
We had a Christmas party and we said goodbye to
her and happy on her retirement. And I swear I
hadn't seen her in the building in fifteen years. I
was like, congrats on your retirement. I had no idea
you even still worked here for the past decade. Now,
that was bizarre. I will agree with you on that one.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
That is one hundred percent true, because I in the
same way he was like, well you still work here?
I had no idea, got it? But that one lady,
you know that I used to have the office right
next to our Pitts and Kevin Studio yes, did you
know she still works for our company? Yes? I had
no idea, no idea, because she has not been in

(13:50):
this office in at least a decade. And I was
at iHeart Country Festival and there she was. I'm like,
what are you doing? She's like working like normal. I said, Oh,
where are you working now? She goes, Oh, it's you.
She goes, oh, stop, but you know I still work
with you, guys, And I'm like, no, I really didn't, Like,

(14:14):
how would I know that you still work with us
if you haven't been to this office in a decade.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
You guys are gonna think we're crazy truckers because you
all see your truck drivers and everything every morning. In
this industry, some times people work from home and they
work from home from home.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Like literally, like I'm telling you, I was like, oh,
who are you working for now? I thought, so she
works for our company. Still, It's sort of like, guys,
here here's a crazy one.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Here is the same person you just said. I'll copy
on an email because I'm supposed to send if you
email hold on only if an artist performs on our show. Okay, yeah,
so I'll send an email. And then sometimes when I
send her that e She'll go, please send that email
to this person. And I'm like, oh, that's not your

(15:06):
job any war huh.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I mean, it's it's pretty cool, I mean and amazing.
Is the one job title is artist relations.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Oh my gosh, don't get me started.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Artist relations. So they are the ones that maintain I
guess the relationship with the artists and keep them in
good standing so they are happy with us. Artist relations
lives in Florida on a beach.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Well, and I actually, she's a very very nice girl,
one of Bezer's friends, one of my friends. I said
something to her in person after a couple ten beers.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, I said, please tell me, because I'm so intrigued
on how this works. How you can be artist relations
when all ninety nine point nine percent of the artists
are in the Greater Nashville area and you are living
on Cocoa Beach in Florida.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
I it was cmafest a year ago. Ironically enough, if
that works there, and I said. I went up to
her after ten beers at Miranda Bertz Bar and she
had just won an award for artist relations some Artist
Relationship of the Year.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Didn't know there was an award for that.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
And I said, congratulations, how you were able to finagle
an online Zoom version artist relations version of yourself and
win that award. I said, holy crap, that must be
a powerful zoom connection. After ten beers and her response,

(16:41):
she thought it was kind of funny, but she's like,
I still do a lot. Shut up.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Oh man? All right? And so did you say goodbye
to that guy? He come say goodbye before he left?
That was it.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
The last thing I heard from him was.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
We'll take a break, We're right back.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Got it all out.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Oh man, Ray, I'm just gonna say it.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Bill's good to get that WS go Spurs go.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Let me tell you. I want to I want to
understand some things.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Watch the whole game. There's no way you did watch
the fifteen minute highlight package.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I want to understand it is New York just full
of money, because there's just so much money that it's
insane that I don't understand how much money is in
New York.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Well, if there's the Hampton's mod talk, all those fools
love to see coast and city, and there's a lot
of the fashion is there. That's why they're all there.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Well, they said the average sold price for a ticket
was seven thousand, like five hundred and eighty three dollars,
And I want to understand why people would pay that
much money for a game that you can't even clinch
the NBA title with that is just a regular game three.
You could take a three lead, or you could be

(18:01):
up to one, which ended up happening. But if you're
paying that much money, don't you want to be at
the clinching game? Like isn't that what it's about? Or
is it just because New York hadn't had a finals
game since nineteen ninety nine or whatever it has been,
and they're just so excited that money is nothing to
them and seven thousand dollars is a drop in the bucket.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
It's one of those the drought of the Cubs, the
drought of the Bambino, what I mean, the Knicks never
are in the finals. Also, you answered it yourself.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Also, they had to like it was gonna be the
most raucous environment you've ever seen in your life. I
hate to tell you, I've watched a lot of this
playoff basketball. Oklahoma City is ten times louder than MSG
because I think it's a lot of rich celebrities that
are excited at to be a game, and then they
just sit down and then all right, the knickt score,

(18:51):
they cheer, they sit down.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
But a Yankee crowd is different, correct, Yankee crowd is different.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
The Oklahoma City thunder Face, I felt like we're loud
the entire game. When you're watching the Spurs in Oklahoma City.
This okay, se fans don't sit down, they don't shut up.
They are yelling the entire time. This It was like,
all right, Spurs make a basket. All right, we're deflated.
We sit down. It was a weird thing. I wouldn't

(19:19):
say that was the most raucous crowd you've ever seen,
oh my god, because you know what, rich people aren't raucous.
They're not loud and crazy. Rich people like to be seen.
They show up, they act excited, they sit courtside, and
they're quiet. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I think let the crowd speak for itself. I'm never
one to say listen, I hate to reference cmafest again,
Listen when you come here, it is the wildest, craziest
three days of your entire life with just nuts venues.
I mean, it's music throughout the city, which is kind
of unique. I wouldn't say the crowds are that crazy.
If you don't like country music, you won't even like it.

(19:58):
So I let people decide doing crowds themselves. But New
York MSG wouldn't shock me as a wild loud crowd.
Yankees would, huh. I would have never thought that, And
you just got to feel it out. Maybe it's a
weird Monday night. People are in bad moods, people hung
over a little bit.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
They can't be in a bad mood when their nicks
haven't been in the finals in so long and they
pay all this money for a ticket. They're all in
a good mood. You saw everybody was there, Jeter Manning,
Larry David Shimelings, Still, HARDYB, Cardi B. Trump, President tr
Trump was there. I think a couple execs from our

(20:40):
company were there. I thought I saw them about Fifth Row.
It was just it was not that amazing of an environment.
And maybe it was because the Spurs came out hot
and they got quiet real quick. And if the Knicks
would have got off to that big start, they would
have been loud the whole time. But they weren't loud
the whole time. But I'm just saying we got ourselves
a series and it feels good.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah. And that's why, guys, at times you need to
step away from gambling, because you're able to see the
forest for the trees. Eddie dud or guy in the
bathroom goes, coach, what do you think about tonight?

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Man?

Speaker 1 (21:12):
I mean, if they don't if the Spurs don't win
a night, it's over. It's a sweep. And he actually,
I think the Spurs win the series, honestly, and he goes, oh, okay.
And I told a couple of other people that. I
told Billy and Danny. Billy said, what are the odds,
and I said, it's four times your money at last
time I looked at a website and they said, but

(21:33):
this is over, And I go, I think Spurs at
four times your money is some really great value. I
would say that's a very smart play. And now after
the game. Nobody does this stuff before the game, but
I was saying this before the game. I felt the
Spurs were gonna win it, and I felt the Spurs
are still gonna win the series.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Yeah. I was with you before the game. I'm with
you after the game. We were in games one and two,
a couple bounces go our way and we were going
to New York up two oh. It was tied with
two minutes ago, tied with ten seconds ago, and the
game's one and two. It's been a phenomenal series.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Told you that you said four or five.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I said five, and then I changed it after we
went down two oh to Spurs and six.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I will say one thing is I don't understand Jalen
Brunson's dad. He is such a little bee.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Wasn't in the package that I saw.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
He is such a little bee. Anytime Brunson gets fouled,
he comes running down the court like he's gonna fight somebody, like.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Don't touch my son.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
He's like a little league parent. That is his kid
is not getting treated right on the playground.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
You are wrong, though, When the the Knicks Knickerbockers ran
out on the court, that was pretty badass.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah, but then they were quiet.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Okay, well but that was loud. That was cool.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Not as loud as okay. See still don't think so.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
But I'm saying like JA was loud when they wude?
Was it?

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Game two? When dearon Fox and Jalen Brunson got face
to face and it was like here comes his daddy.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Hey, you staying away my son?

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Hey, it's it has to be embarrassing for Jalen, Like
it's like, dad, sit down on the bench, shut.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Up well and stop with Spike Lee. Did you see
him with the refs? No?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
I didn't see that.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
The people said, can he just say it's a bad call.
I mean he was a foot away from the ref
waving his arms, and I mean he's got to be
right next to the court. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
See, that's when I want to play, to run by
and get tripped by him. So then it's a tech
or players.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Aren't gonna be that supportive of Spike Lee anymore when
he gets you a technical.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Uh. And then just Castle was going for a rebound
and he kind of trucked over. I mean Brunson flopped
a little bit. He started falling back before Castle even
touched him.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
But here comes daddy. He comes running down the court. Hey, hey,
you get away from my son. Hey, you don't touch
my son. It's so embarrassing way he leaves his seat.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
He's an assistant coach and he comes running down to
protect his son. It's like, hey, Pops, your son is
an NBA player. He can hand his own. He doesn't
need you holding his wiener and fighting off the bad
guys like it is so embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
He had a pretty awesome entrance. So did you see
what he did? No, Brunson did a spin around. One
of his teammates was on the ground like taking a moment,
and Brunson slapped him in the head like get on
the court. And then Brunson did a spin around. It
was part of the highlight package. And then he runs
on the court for a couple jogs and then Brunson
goes in in all out sprint And did you hear

(24:30):
the song on their playing?

Speaker 2 (24:31):
No?

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Annie up?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I think it means like put your money down? Oh hey,
Annie up?

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I guess I missed that point. Was awesome, see because
what happened is I was gonna watch the whole intro live.
I was ready. I got the kids in bed early
enough because they've been having some late nights and I
felt like, Okay, they need to go to bed early.
I'd love for going to watch the game, but one
good night of sleep where they go to bed at
like seven fifteen would be phenomenal for them so they

(25:01):
could get like, you know, almost twelve hours of sleep.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
That works with my schedule.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
And so got them in bed. Everything's good. I sit down,
cable on internet went out. It was just fuzz stark.
I don't know what it was. And I was like,
oh my god, you gotta be kidding me, you gotta
be kidding me. And I'm flipping it on off trying
to get it. It's like there's a connection issue, connection issue.

(25:25):
And then the youngest is like, dad, Dad, I'm done pooping.
And I'm like, what, I just put you to bed.
I didn't know you've got out of bed to go poop.
So now I gotta run into the bathroom wipe his butt.
And then I get the TV back on and I'm
like I hit record and says DVR is not working, sorry,
and I was like pause. They're like pause is not

(25:47):
available right now, and I'm like God, because I wanted
to see the hype. I wanted to see the introduction.
I wanted to see how the spurs looked, if there
was fear in their eyes. And I go and I
wipe a butt, bam, bam bam, and I run and
get on the couch and he comes in there. He's like,
is that the Spurs. Are you watching the Spurs?

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Who's at your kid?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
My four year old he has a lisp and I
was like yeah. He goes, I knew it, Dad, ad,
I knew it, And he goes, who are He goes, Dad,
will you tell me in the morning who won? And
I'm like yeah, and he goes, will you let me
guess first? And I mean, I won't see him in
the morning. I don't see him hard to work, but
he still associates that with morning. I'm like, I'll let

(26:28):
you guess. He goes, Okay, night night, dadad, I love you,
Love you dude, all right. He goes to bed.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
So he'll go the entire day not knowing the score
of the game.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
He has no idea.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
What about friends?

Speaker 2 (26:38):
He's four.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
He doesn't talk to anybody.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
I don't think many four year olds on the playground
are chatting it up about Hey man, you see the
Spurs game last night? Four year olds don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
So you're telling me four year olds go throughout the
day not knowing crap.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
They don't know crap, dude, Like we did. It is
five o'clock last night and we're like, we're gonna eat dinner,
and he.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Goes, Daddy, is it bunday?

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Or he goes, is it still wake up time? What
the That's what I'm saying. They don't have any concept
of time, They don't have concept of days, they don't
have concepts of anything.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Oh my gosh. So you're like living with like a tribe,
like the people that don't say it.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Someone's like with Alzheimer's. They don't like you tell them
one day and they forget, like, Dad, is it time
for bed? No, you just woke up. Oh, they have
no idea.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
How often do you just laugh out loud at how
er they.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Are, how dumb they are? Pretty often because it's so funny,
Like if you're a parent, you know this, because the
younger kids don't really understand anything.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Well, I get that you could lie to them and
they believe you and stuff like that, but they just
go through the day. He could go and not once
hear the score or know who won you or see
a TV on or something.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Like.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
The older one, you know, may talk to a friend
or see the score you know, on TV, but the
younger one absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Oh my gosh, dude, it's like that. That's a wild
way to live.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Like the other night, we had dinner and we're sitting
there and like thirty minutes later, we're like, all right,
it's about time to go brush teeth, get ready for bed,
and the little one goes, uh, what about dinner? I
we just ate dinner, And he goes, oh, I thought
that was lunch.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
See, I mean he was trying to get a dessert
in probably he.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Just no, No, he didn't have any concept. He has
no concept.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
I mean that's one step further than concept.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
No, it's just he not just eight. Yeah, but he
doesn't know time. I get that.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
But the just doing something he had to have already
known that he ate. Maybe he was just trying to
prolong bedtime. There's no way they forget that quickly. Ah,
four year old dude. I'm telling you, he's like a goldfish.
Like you forget real fast, You forget real fast. It's amazing.
Have you ever called him stupid?

Speaker 2 (28:58):
No? Oh no, no, no, no, okay. Have I ever called
him an idiot?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
No, oh I've ever called him dumb?

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (29:06):
No, okay, maybe to my wife, like why is he
being so dumb? Well, but not to the secret. I
don't tell him, hey, you're so stupid. I never tell
him that. But I will tell you what was stupid.
And I didn't like this from the Spurs after they won,
as Castle came out and he's in the stands with
his parents or whatever taking pictures, and like, we don't

(29:26):
need to celebrate like that. We don't need to be
taking pictures. We can take pictures after game four. You
want to get a picture in Madison Square guard with
your family, that's pretty cool, okay, but it looked a
little like after the Thunder series how we were celebrating
and taking pictures on the court all that. I didn't
like that feel of it. But the funniest thing of
the night was Charles Barkley because Cardi B Is performing

(29:50):
at halftime and they're trying to talk to Charles Barkley
and he's just staring at Cardi B. And he was like, guys,
I don't know if that's Cardi I think I don't
think that's Cardi B's. I think that's more like Cardi D's.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
That was pretty cool. She performed, it's great, It was great,
But so they were broadcasting while she was dancing.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yes, Charles, Charles, can we get you back over here?
I think she's lying about her name. I ain't know
Cardi B's. Those are more like Cardi D's. Charles Barkley
is so dang funny.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
And she probably was performing right next to him because
she was on the court.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yeah, exactly, But I don't know if they were on
the court for that or were they only on the
court after the game.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
They got him on the court.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I didn't really understand that they were.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Trying to do this thing they do with football.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Ball, And I mean, I don't know if McAfee as
a basketball guy, I didn't tune into that. I want
and let me say you, Richard Jefferson is the worst
commentator I've ever heard in my life. And I think
it's because the Spurs told him to kick Rocks because
they he was We've traded for him, we got him whatever.
I don't eve remember how he got on the Spurs
and we thought he was gonna be our savior and

(31:07):
lead us to a title. And he absolutely sucked. He
wasn't a number one, he wasn't an alpha, and he
is still mad at the Spurs. So every dang thing
he says is negative about the Spurs. Every call he's like, oh,
that's a foul in the spur. I mean, he's so bad.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Nothing's worse than Tarico. And he's probably fine this series
because SGA is not in it.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
But SGA to the bucket. No, Trico's not on this
mid range. SGA, Trico call him shy. We didn't call
MJ MJ.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
We didn't call Kobe Mamba, we didn't call uh Ai
Ai Bro. Stop calling him sg A. It's a professional broadcast.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Don't worry he's shy. He's not calling him SGA. He's
calling him gone on vacation.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
SGA the mid range.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
No, he's not doing that. SGA is not there, So
don't worry. We don't have to hear about SGA. And
I'm gonna tell you, Brunson, he looks tired. Man, all
these bodies worth throwing at him. It's working. We'll take
a break. We'll right back.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
I got about ten.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, I understand. I understand. You have ten, and I
have ten for you. I have, you know a few
stories that I would like to tell you. You can
go off, you can just go off. No, no, there's
no going off. We got the one win. We're not
gonna celebrate like we won an NBA title. We're done.
Talking about the Spurs because we got another game tonight
and I can't freaking wait and you do. I really

(32:37):
hope we come out and play with the same fire
because Harper and Castle are freaking dogs. They are dog.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
I told you about Brunson though.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
What about him?

Speaker 1 (32:47):
I said, Brunson is the gritty player that gets those
points up, and you go, he's not great.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
I mean he he is thirty of eighty one from
the field in.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
The series all over the highlight.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Reel, thirty of eighty one. He has as many shots
eighty one as he does points in the series eighty one.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
So he's shooting a lot and missing a lot.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Yeah, if you got to take eighty one shots to
get eighty one points, if that's not.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Playing very well. He just seems so hard to guard.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Oh, he is hard to guard. Eats.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
You can get offensive rebounds, He's not just bring it
down and shoot a three. Was Wimby better?

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Oh, Wimby was awesome. Okay, Wimby came to play from
the opening tip. Uh, And I'll tell you, Josh Hart,
that's one thing I was worried about is he hadn't
had a he hadn't had a good game. In the series.
He hadn't really had an impact, and all of a
sudden he was draining threes, draining threes. I was like,

(33:45):
oh my god, when you're when he's shooting thirty percent
for three from the whole playoffs, and all of a
sudden he's draining five of five of Mike here we go,
not our night. But the boys just persevered and you
keep giving him those shots. He's not going to make them.
The odds are he's gonna regress to the mean and
he's gonna miss them. Jordan Clarkson throwing up prayers at

(34:06):
the freaking buzzer. Oh drained a guy that was on
the ground draining threes. Like, if he is draining threes,
that's we're not gonna win. He did it. We won.
He's not gonna shoot like that. And if the Knicks
win the series. Og Annobi is the MVP of the
NBA Finals. The dude is awesome.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
He's getting all those dirty rebounds.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Oh, he's getting dirty rebounds, draining threes, and a couple
of times Harper goes up drives and he blocks his
shot a couple of times at the very end of
the game. Very frustrating to deal with.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Love the Knicks. Every time Brunson makes a three or whatever,
he does that little thing with his fingers. Yeah, you know,
I get that. And then Cat every time Cat Banks
backs somebody down and makes it two, he yells at him,
get out, my faith, get off me, get off every time? Yeah,
why does he do that every time? Like if I

(34:54):
was the defender, Like, dude, I heard you like in
the second quarter, like you said it every time. I
still have like three quarters left to play against each other, but.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
I will like like when Castle gets to the rim
and dunks or Harper and they flex and they look
at him like what Like, I'm strong. I'm twenty years
old and I'm strong, and Castle, do you want to
talk about ice water in your veins? Let me just
tell you.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Castle, I saw on two k He's phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
He hits a three at the end of the shot
clock with under a minute to go, and then somehow
the Knicks come in and Anonoby drains one from the
corner and I'm like, you have got to be good, oh.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
At the very end.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Yeah, and we're up by two then, and so we
inbound the ball to Fox and he immediately gets it
over to Castle, they foul Castle. He's going to the
line for two.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Don't throw it to Winby, He'll throw it to a
ghost player.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Okay, we almost did that a couple of times. Oh
really yeah, and there's nine seconds left. Msg New York,
the mecca of basketball today they say Stephen Castle twenty
one years old. I mean there's barely hair under his armpits.
He's so young. And he gets up there, trains the

(36:00):
first one, so now he has to make the second
one to make it a two possession game. And I'm like, please, please, please,
please nothing but net I mean water in the veins.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Who's with you at this point?

Speaker 2 (36:13):
No, buddy, And You're like, please, please please, No. Actually,
my wife might have been on the couch. She was
on the couch and there was seven minutes to go
in the game. And I looked at her and I said,
it's almost pacing time.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Because we're the Knicks a little in control.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
No, No, we were up, but this is where they
always make. The Rocks took a lead though, Oh in
the second quarter. They were at halftime they were upset.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Oh, the Knicks took a lead in the fourth did
they ah my highlight package, it looked like they did.
And that's when I thought, oh wow, I bet lunch
was puckered.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Then.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
I don't remember them taking a lead in the Ford.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
But if you got to check out a highlight package, I.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Don't check out highlight packages. But I remember Barkley at
halftime saying, this series is a wrap, like this game's over,
Spurs are down, seven Knicks are winning this game. It's over,
and I'll bet my house on it. So after the game,
Shack was like, hey, man, I need that house. I
need you out. You got ten days to get out.
Really funny anyway, So I was just impressed. Down the stretch.

(37:10):
They made it stressful that it wasn't easy, but to
be able to win, I mean, it just felt so good.
And I mean with four minutes to go, that's when
I got up and I was pacing standing in front
of the TV, putting my arms up on defense, bending
my knees for the free throws because I mean, they
can feel my energy. And if you don't binge your
knees on the free throws, you're not gonna make them.
I teach my kids that when we're watching Kansas games,

(37:32):
ben the knees. Ben the knees. And we make it.
And we got two technical fouls called on the Knicks
and we missed both free throws. Guys make a free throw.
Keldon Johnson finally showed up. But Keldon Johnson also with
some absolutely idiotic plays. He makes some of the dumbest
plays I've ever seen. And this is Spurs Radio. We
got an email coachers.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Say, Spurs talk Wlac.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Cody from Texas. Here go Spurs go. F the Knickerbockers.
Give a history lesson of what a knickerbucker is. COACHF
Timothy Charalamagne, F Kylie Jenner, please F Ben Stellar, F
every Yankee and Nick Van out there. Wimby will put
a pull up in a twenty twenty one Giannis and

(38:16):
win four straight. Hey, Marcus Sears and okay, see, how's
can kun go? Spurs go? WHOA, Cody, We've only won
one game. Let's not. Let's get a little crazy here.
Let's wait till we win all of them. Hey, do
you want to continue to rock? No?

Speaker 1 (38:33):
I have some urgent matters.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
No, we're ready to go. Man. I I'm sorry it
was a little spur centric. I mean it was just
a big win. It felt good, and did I go
right to bed after the game. Absolutely not. I sat
there and I watched Charles and Kenny and Shaq, and
can they please get Draymond Green off of there. He
doesn't add anything. He's boring.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Oh he's good, he's just not good.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Like the chemistry between Ernie, Kenny, Shack and Charles is
so phenomenal. And then they throw Draymond in there. Draymond
doesn't need to be there, Like if one of them
is absent, fine, bring Draymond, but adding the fifth guy
doesn't do it for me. Like my name's been I'm
not in it.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
It would be like feeling yourself. Does it add to
the potty? Who knows?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Yeah? Who knows. It's like when we bring a Besa
in here. No one likes it, no one enjoys it,
so we don't bring him in very much. It's like Pitts,
he's so busy, but sometimes he shows up. Go Spurs, go.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
You sure they play tonight?

Speaker 2 (39:27):
Yeah, I'm sure they play tonight. Man, it's gonna be awesome.
I can't freaking wait. And I got no soccer tonight,
so it's gonna be phenomenal. And I'm gonna watch every
minute of it. And you know what I'm gonna tell
the kids. You guys want to stay up and watch it.
Let's watch it. You guys have a great Wednesday. We're
out of here. Em audios, ma'am, that was that too
much spurs talk? And hey, how about Soresby trying to

(39:49):
ruin college football? It's hilarious. Hey, judge from Lubbock says,
you can play.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
You can gamble apparently ninety thousand dollars and place bets
on your own team. And he what do you suspended
two games?

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah? I saw one coach said, hey, man, if I
don't know which coach it was, maybe Kansas State, West Virginia,
I don't remember, but he said, if this is the president,
I owe it to my players to bring on someone
that knows a lot about gambling and teach them which
games to gamble on and which ones not to that
I mean, I gotta, I gotta teach my kids so
they can make a lot of money. If this is

(40:22):
what we're doing, it's unbelievable. How about this, hey, man,
take responsibility for your actions. You gambled. You're an idiot.
You're done, your college career is over. You're lucky. If
you'd go to the NFL, the NCAA might as well
just pack up their stuff and shut doors. Shut the doors.
Because judges in every town. Someone in Old Miss where
they were from. Oxford, Hey, a judge in Oxford, Oh,

(40:44):
Chambliss can play. A judge in Lubbock, Oh sores Me
can play. It's unbelievable. No way, a judge in your
little town said you can play, so freaking stupid, absolutely stupid.
And the judge, I gotta run. Do you want to
go off?

Speaker 1 (41:02):
I'm gonna let you go off.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
I mean the judge. The judge went to the University
of Houston, so he suspends him for two games. Why
because Texas Tech plays Houston one of those two first games,
so he wants to make sure he misses that game
to give the Almah monter a little Guys, it's disgusting.
Even you Tech fans gotta be laughing at this. It's
absolutely stupid. It's stupid. It's dumb. Oh my god, I

(41:27):
gotta go. I don't know where Ray. Ray had to
go see that guy in the bathroom again. They had
a glory whole meeting. Oh man, what a day you guys,
have a great day, man, Bye bye, bye. I mean,

(41:48):
even my even my tech fans Chess Day, Scott Kenny,
they're all freaking happy and crap. Come on, man, it's
so stupid. It is so stupid, and out shout out
West Virginia Baseball. West Virginia Baseball going to the College
World Series. And let me tell you a little story
about that. Their head coach is from Westwood High School

(42:11):
in Austin, Texas. And cousin Andrew. Oh yeah, that cousin Andrew.
My cousin Andrew played second base. Their coach played shortstop.
They were double played partners in high school. And uh,
he's going to college World Series. That's pretty freaking cool.
And I asked my cousin was he always going to
be a coach? Did you know that? And he goes, well,
it makes sense because all he cared about was baseball.

(42:32):
And then rumor has it he apparently wanted me to
buy him beer one time at a bar when he
wasn't twenty one. I don't remember this, but that's what
a story was told to me by someone. And I
don't remember that. But congratulations of West Virginia and your
head coach, and yeah, have a great day, guys. We
got to go. Ray oh, Ray already left. I don't
know why I'm still talking, man, I'm just I'm fired up.
Fired up felt good to get a win. Good, It

(42:53):
felt really good Bye,
