Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
We do have a lot. The wheel is up. The
wheel is up for everybody that didn't pay, we are
ready to re spin that wheel. On a Wednesday. I
just want to give those people a heart attack, those
people that haven't paid yet. I wanted them to hear
that and be like, oh my god, I forgot to pay,
but you have to Thursday at midnight, Thursday at midnight
to pay. Was that not good?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Y'all? We are the sore losers. We are a spin
off of the Bobby Bone Show, a country morning show
heard all across the world. And we have a convention
that isn't exactly thirty nine days in twenty twenty seven
MLK Weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, brought to you by Free
Lane Chevrolet, and we're.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Gonna do it live. I mean, I thought that was funny.
I thought that was a funny way to start the pod.
And you were just like on a Wednesday, and you
moved right.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
On because I never warned justin that we're doing the
numbers drawing. When are we doing that? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, we had to have everybody pay before we can
do the draft order because we don't know who is
what team?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Because he's trying to tell me that we can sneak
three running backs in the first round. Oh, and I said,
I don't even think that's statistically possible.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I don't think you can have three draft picks in
the first round.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
But when it snakes around or in the first do
you get one pick around?
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yes? Okay, have you ever watched a draft?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, but I was thinking if it's snakes on the
back end that do some people get two in the first.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
No, because once number twelve goes, the next pick is
the second round.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay, so we would be in three rounds.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
You get three running backs and Carnell Tait.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
We're not getting him.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Dude, I want you guys just to be the Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Oh yeah, he'll try. He's probably gonna even though he's
not in the NFL, he'll try to get saying he'll
try to do Jeremiah Smith.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
He'll try to get Justin Fields. I don't even know
where Justin Field? Does he still play a lave?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Let's see, does Justin Fields have a team? I can't
google son of a gun back up for the Jets. Yeah, right,
I don't know, But yeah, man, I just want to
give everybody a heart attack. You still have till Thursday
at midnight Central time to pay your two hundred bucks
if your name was drawn. And I'm going to tell
you what I've got about eighteen people that have paid
(02:20):
out of forty.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Wait. I thought you'd put on the Facebook that you
said ninety percent.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Of people have paid haven't paid.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I read that too quick on Pablo Slater's account. Yep.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
So there you go. There's a lot of hope out there,
but we're not going to do that today. That wheel
is sleeping today. We got story after story after story.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
I posted on the Facebook under Pablo Slater. Two words.
All I said was justin pay. I know money's tight.
Can he pay on Friday?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
He can, Dude, he can pay in October. I know
you too are going to pay like you. I know
you because I'm saying his payday.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Then.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, I did have someone reach out to me and
say they do not have VENMO, so then we had
to go cash app. But I don't have cash app.
So then he hit me and said I do have PayPal,
so he did pay me through PayPal and then I
had to kick someone out.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Uh, someone that got drawn derogatory Yeah, they.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Put a post like you never heard my name. I'm
the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm the one that knocks you out
the playoffs two years ago. You always put some respect
on my name. I was like, get this guy out
of here. He gone, really no, I didn't really kick
him out, right, dude.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I'm following for all your sarcut I was like, I
didn't see anything wrong with what he said.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
No, but I'm like, dang it, I don't want to
remember your name. I don't want you back in that league.
I still have nightmares about that.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
If somebody says the G word, are they kicked out
of the league.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Okay, And then like how political? And me and Justin
get with our team name before we're kicked out of
the leader.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Let's not do that. Let's not do that. Let's try
to keep it like fun. Well, last year he named
it after his dead dog, I know, and it didn't
work out. So let's try a different route. No, no,
no name your team anything political.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
We've thrown some names.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Around, okay. I like the way you guys brainstorm.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, he's shut down everything I had to say. I
was trying to make fun of so I was naming
teams with the okay, so he didn't like that. I
wanted something with gun Lake because he lives on gun Lakes. Yeah,
but he didn't think that was funny.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
And then how about the dinghy boys.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Because he's on his dinghy. But then he posted a
picture on his Instagram and he's on a doc And
I said, what happened to the dinghy? And he said,
rotting in my brother's garage? And I said, oh, a
depreciating asset. Good purchase.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
You're really doing them well for yourself, man, Oh, really
doing well for yourself.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Guys, we gotta do it live. I'm about sixty five percent,
but I can fake well.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
I am one hundred percent and I'm ready to go.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
We oh the one two three sore loser.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Don't worry about playing the bed. What's up, everybody, I'm lunchbox.
I know the most about sports, so I'll give you
the sports facts, my sports opinions, because I'm pretty much
a sports.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Genius, y'all. Ha is sissoned from the North, Alpha male
love on the North side of Nashville. Baser two acres,
got a house, got two kids, eggs at Vanderbilt in
the freezer, justin should check on him soon. And I
was talking to Abby just to say this real quick,
and I was not feeling great on the Big Show
the other day, and she said, I had no idea
(05:43):
you did that segment so well, and I said, yeah,
we're professionals. I was able to fake it.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I am. I didn't know you were feeling bad either,
And I feel bad that you're feeling bad. And I
don't know if it's just exhaustion, if you're getting coming
down with something, you know, maybe you need to get
more rest on the weekends.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
It wasn't that at all. I got fourteen hours. Oh,
I went to bed at seven and woke up at
nine am on Friday night.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Dang, that's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
So it was this, it's this. I went lifting and
I took my creatine and I was lifting and I
did chest, I did biceps. I mean, it was an
insane workout and towards the end of it, all my
muscles were hurting. And so then I came back to that.
This is a couple of days ago. Came back to
the studio and just felt like crap. I mean, all
(06:30):
a body aches, but it wasn't sickness. My voice is fine.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Wasn't in body aches. It's a bad sign, but.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
It could be from what I just did lifting, as
the name implies, lifting weights with my muscles. Then my
muscles hurt, so then that happened, and then now today
I have no body aches, but like my stomach, I don't.
Maybe I'm hungry. My stomach will just randomly hurt. That
(06:58):
sounds like sickness, but it's nothing sickness. I go to
the bathroom. I'm totally fine. Not to get into too
much detail, but it's just weird pains in my stomach
and I had a headache this morning. But the headache's gone,
so it's like not really enough symptoms to go home.
I could never go home, but I can still carry
on the show and I can still fake a radio bit.
But it's like I'm definitely not a hundo. Just so
(07:19):
you guys know, it's Jordan's sick game.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I appreciate you playing hurt and I really do.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, but I mean it's something you can easily get through.
I get the voice that makes it tough on the ears,
but I could have faked it, And I told you guys,
but I'm not one of those that's gonna jump all in,
get all in bed with you guys, and then fake it.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Well good, we want your full effort while you're here.
So I mean, since we're here, and oh, you're pulling
out the magazine. I thought we were going straight to
the waitress, cause the waitress was supposed to be Monday,
and then you forgot about that. We were drawing names
for the Fantasy League. So here we are. I need
to hear about the waitress.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
It just didn't have its time on the Bobby Bone Show,
the Big Show. I had no time to tell the story.
So we go to a spot the road, It's said
the one where there's like three hotels on top of
each other. God it, there's a lot of trees and
vines and open garage doors there, got it. We walk in,
the lady goes, do you want to sit outside or inside?
It's ninety five degrees outside, and we go, I don't know,
(08:14):
is that a trick question? Inside? And they had the
garage doors open. So my one buddy, it was me,
Baser and the two guys that like each other. Yeah,
and he saw you could see the air conditioner. It
was seventy two and we sat down by the end
of the whole brunch, it was seventy six temperature had
rows four degrees. Because they had the garage doors wide open,
it was ninety five degrees outside.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
So probably not a smart idea.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Yeah, and there's had to have been nobody that chose
unless they're from Vegas that said, oh, yeah, you know what,
I'm gonna sit outside, today's a patio day.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Well do they have covers on the outside, And some fans.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Now, oh yeah, maybe those were just had their time.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Even the rooftops don't really have that really. I mean,
we went to Miranda's and it was hot. Man, We're
on the rooftop, and I did there was no ac
pumping in my face.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Well I'm not saying ac. But sometimes they have the
canopy where it's like a covered seating because you go
to a lot of playgrounds nowadays and they have them covered,
well not a lot of them, like two or three.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
And I always thought, why the hell do they have
those over the playground. And now that I have kids
and I realize how hot the playground equipment gets, I
get why some of those playgrounds put the shade structures
over the playground. Lawsuits probably and they just want people
to be able to use the equipment.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
But please, just let me talk about this waitress, just
so our truck drivers can just get real randy in
their trucks. Imagine a sixty year old woman. I've got
it in my head, and we come in hot there's
a DJ it's a pretty trendy brunch spots but also
a hotel. Yeah, so we roll in Bazer. We're wearing
(09:57):
our sunglasses, BJ, Dave. They're all happy, laughing. We sit
down and imagine just monotone, not a lot of smiles,
not a lot of energy for the next hour.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Like, you sit down and how does it go?
Speaker 1 (10:13):
What are you guys drinking? I'll get a mimosa. I'll
get a mimosa. BJ, I'll get a mimosa. David, Well,
let me see what is the menu? Have in the
lady goes or you could just follow the trend. Everybody
else got mimosas.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
That's funny. That's funny.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Well.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
And then it was also Tomato Fest and had this
big menu where you could build your own tomato, and
so they were kind of ragging on her. They go,
that's kind of like tipping Waymo. Why would you build
your own bloody mary, Why pay somebody a tip when
you basically built the whole drink?
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
And then we're making fun of the griddle places where
you griddle your own food.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Now that I don't understand. I will never understand that.
And let me tell you I've been to it. I've
been to it, and I went to it without kids.
This was before I was married. I didn't have kids,
and I had to run to get something at PetSmart
and on the way back, I happened to drive by
it and I was like, man, I gotta get breakfast.
It's a freaking Saturday or Sunday morning, I don't know
(11:17):
what morning it was. I was like, I'll pop in
there and grab some breakfast real quick. And they sit
me down at this thing and then they bring me
the ingredients to cook my own damn breakfast. I'm like,
I did not pay to come here and cook my
own breakfast. If I'm paying somebody, I want you to
cook my breakfast for me. I could have done this
at my house. And I mean, I was shocked how
(11:41):
packed it was to cook your own food. You pay
to cook your own food, which you do at your house.
So it makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
You're with us on that one.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Gosh.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
And so she comes over and she orders our food.
There's nothing really story worthy of that. We all just
you know, I ordered sammy, you know, eggs, bacon. BJ
made sure to say, hey, this lettuce outbreak, don't want
to get this other stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Don't want the lettuce.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Please don't lettuce.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
As as Keith said, kid, don't eat the lettuce.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Baser orders this thing that was like from Italy and zucchini.
I'm a very strong aroma of acid. Oh it was good,
though she loved it. It was like Greek got it,
but I mean it was potent. Okay, So we're all
eating and BJ immediately gets his it's wrong. There's lettuce
all over the thing, and so he dismantles it. His
(12:32):
whole sandwich has got two pieces of bread, four pieces
of bread here, two eggs on top of each other,
bacon over here in a woodpile. And the lady goes, well,
is everything No, there was no energy, it's monotone. Is
everything perfect for you, guys. BJ's sandwich has literally the
ass tore out of it. No, it doesn't look like it.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Actually, we have a problem.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
And PJ goes, yup, all good, could it be more perfect?
Because he didn't want to go send it back it
already was like, what is it gonna be another twenty minutes?
We don't. We don't have time for that, and so,
and you know, it's one of those it's a hotel,
so they're kind of lacking on the mimosa service. Be uh, David,
we all get in a mother Mimosa. David was like
(13:18):
five minutes late, so he was about two drinks behind
on the mimosas. And he goes and we're all get
another round of Mimosa's. And David goes, oh, I'll get
him momosa too, and she goes, well, you still got
yours in front of you? Oh, thank you, Captain obvious.
Yes he does, but I'm imagining he's gonna drink that
before you bring out the other one. And David's like
tricked her. When she came out, he still had some
(13:40):
of his and he poured it in the glass. He's
like got a bigger one. Now. It's like, but why
who is she the freaking Mimosa police, Like, lady, just
bring another one? Like did this happen back in the sixties?
I don't know. So BJ eats his food. I eat
my food, and then we're talking a good thirty minute
(14:00):
of absolutely nothing I have i'd ketch up with fries.
So I got the smell a ketchup in front of me,
and I'm like, dang, that was good. I enjoyed eating it,
but oh, I'm not loving the smell of ketchup. If
it's been five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes, I'm gonna
push this over the side sm I'll ketchup. I look
over at Bezer, I'm like, dang, Bess, that freaking Greek
thing you got is I mean, what is there like
(14:23):
a side table you could set that thing on, like
I've been smelling it for like fifteen minutes.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
And She's like, I know.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Bj. He's still staring at the lettuce in front of
him that he never wanted in the first place, because
the people dying. We got people dying out there, and
BJ's got it right in front of his face. These
plates are stacked up like a crowded straits of hummerits.
There are no plates moving and it has been thirty
(14:49):
minutes and dude, once I've had a couple of Mimosa's
I'm on the move. If you guys have ever seen
Bob Menry.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yes we know who. Well, no, no one knows who
Bob Menry is.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
He's like a guy that never stops mo. So imagine
one of your friends who just never sits down there.
It's nervous injury energy. So dude, I'm like, Okay, this
has been fun, but guys, I'm gonna just go into
the hotel convenience store. I'm gonna get a like energy drink.
So I go in there, I get an energy drink
because she's not coming back for more drinks. No, could
I have got an alcoholic drink? Sure, but I'm like
(15:18):
I don't want to throw it that much in her face, like, hey,
you're that slow. I went and got this. I just
did it kind of like, oh, just needed a little
side drink. I didn't think you had this back there.
I didn't want to totally be rude to the lady.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Right, but you were trying to send a message to get.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Back to the table. We're all just still sitting there.
Ain't nothing happening, and these plates I sat open garages
a couple flies and now fil over to it.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Boy, oh boy.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
And so now it's kind of debating do we just
take these plates and totally set them on an empty
table because they've been here this long?
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Hein IM not gonna lie do that a lot.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
I didn't want to be that rude guy because I'm
in brunch happy mode. So bj he's not one to
just keep his mouth shut. He goes, hey, you're not
our waitress, but we haven't seen her, like she literally
has been Nancy Guthrie for the past thirty minutes. And
then he goes he.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Goes, that is so wrong on so many levels. That
is so wrong on so many levels.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
He goes, can I mean, I know you're not her,
but like, can you just check us out? Like we
nobody's seen her. She's totally disappeared, and so she went.
The waitress went monotone to disappearance, like straight up, we
need a welfare check.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
M i A.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
The lady goes okay, and so as she's like doing this,
our waitress definitely walked by and probably thought, wow, I'm
literally the worst waitress ever. But the lady goes, okay,
so what did you have? Okay to mimosas she's having
to re enter everything we entered into the iPad Oh, no,
in front of the sixty five year old lady. That
was so slow that her coworker had to pick up
(16:55):
the slack and re enter everything in and print us
out then separate receipts on a completely differ iPad. That
was totally double entry confusion. iPad ai. Oh, And so
we get all that in, we're all locked and loaded everything,
everybody tips and everything like that. As we're walking out
of the restaurant, we look over. David had been enthralled
(17:18):
with the thermostat we are reaching seventy eight degrees. Because
they thought it was a nice summer day, ninety degrees
in Nashville. Why not open the garage doors. We were
and croached getting close to eighty degrees with flies and
lettuce and food piled high. I thought this was a
(17:39):
trendy designer brunch place. How are your rooms? Thanks for
the service, and so for sure our waitress heard that.
But yet then we meandered out and we were on
our way.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
But did you say goodbye to her?
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah? It was it was like she she came over
with not a lot of smiles, not a lot of
inflection in the voice, and then just did her final trick,
a magic trip, a magic trick, a disappearing act. She
nailed it as the memorable Watres for sure, dude, she
(18:14):
made the body. We'll take a break.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
And we'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Ray.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
I know you may not understand what I go through
as a parent, but I just want to say school
is back in session. Everything so exciting. Back to school,
Back to school shopping. Gotta go get new shoes, Gotta
get haircuts, Gotta get a couple new shirts.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
They can, you know, have some fresh clothes to wear.
The school rulers, got one in the bedroom.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Gotta get a pencil, bag or case or whatever. Gotta
get some folders, tissue, paper, towels, all that, and let
me tell you, the kids are over the moon excited.
They try to make everything so exciting at the school.
Oh my gosh, we can't wait to have you back.
They put up signs outside welcome back.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Yay.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
All this leading up to school and we've been counting down,
and you're just so excited for your kid that what
they're gonna learn the excitement of going into first and
second grade. But what they forget to remind you is
the emotional toll it takes on your child that when
you get your child back after the first day, second day,
(19:30):
probably even the third day, that they are app solutely terrors.
I mean in the worst mood, angry about every day
because they're overstimulated and every day makes them mad. Because
yesterday was the first day of school. Oh my gosh, congratulations,
(19:51):
baby Box one and Baby Box two, you're off to
second grade. In first grade, and they rode bikes and
I said, don't worry, I'm gonna come after school. We'll
ride bikes home together. And Baby Box One's like, but dad, dad,
I want to be an independent walker. I want to
be an independent walker this year.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Welcome to twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
So what that means is is at the end of
the day, they don't have to wait for a parent
to show up and check them out, like show the
name badge, or they're not getting on the bus.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
They're allowed to just leave school. That's a blow. At
the end of the day. You said what And I.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Said, fine, Bud, you can be an independent walker. We'll
put you down as independent walker.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
But I'll be riding my bike behind you.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
The what you don't know is I'll still be out
there waiting for you. And so they have a line
of people that, you know, if they walk or they
don't want to sit in the car line, or they're
not riding the bus, they walk up. They show their
little badge or their kids name on it, and they
call Henry Kissinger. Okay, I need Samantha Riley, you know,
(21:04):
and they call him. They come out. Well, they do
all those people first before they let the independent walkers go.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
No, so not smart on your kid's part.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
So not smart on my kid's part. So he gets
out there finally and he sees me. He goes, I
don't want to be an independent walker. And I'm like,
what's wrong? He goes, we had to sit there and
sit there and sit there. Why did they not let
us out sooner? I said, Bud, because they do. You
(21:32):
know how we had to wait in line with the
little card and you didn't want me to do that.
They let all those kids out first, then the independent walkers.
Well that is I don't want to sit there that long.
So I don't want to be an independent walker. Okay,
I understand that, But so would you like me next
(21:52):
time you're riding bikes? You want me to wait in
that line? No, I don't want you to wait in
that line. I want to be an indie walker. Well,
I but it's one or the other. If you're riding
your bike, you're either going to be had to wait
in that line, or you're gonna be an independent walker. No,
(22:13):
the independent walkers had to just sit there and we're
not even allowed to talk. So why would I want
to sit there longer than I have to? Okay, I
got it, So next time I'll be in line. No,
I don't want you to wait in line. I want
to be able to come out on my own. Okay,
I'm sorry. Well, you know what, I just don't want
(22:36):
to talk about a dad. I don't want to talk
about it anymore.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
You sound like the kid. He sounds like the dad.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
And I'm like, okay, So I shouldn't ask you what
went on in school today? Right? I should probably wait
for that. Who'd you sit next to at lunch? I
sat and I really don't you know what. I don't
want to talk about that. Okay. So this is how
first day of school emotions are. I got it. Okay, cool,
(23:05):
you know what I mean? Like? All right, hey, baby
box two, what was surprising about your day to day?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Dad? Do we really have to talk about school right now.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
You should have just gone to the bar like most
parents in the sixties.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
I'm like, wow, okay. I thought we were gonna be
excited and we're gonna share, like what happened to the
first day of school. I thought we were over that
angry Like you know, I'm mad at school. I know
it kindergarten. You're young and you don't know what's going on,
and it's like, okay, like overwhelming. I learned that the
hard way. With Baby Box one, I thought we'd be
(23:40):
past that, but obviously not. So then we're gonna ride
bikes home, and Baby Box two just takes off. Oh
this was all at school. This is all out in
front of the school and we're riding bikes home, and
so Babybox one is kind of calmed down a little bit,
and I'm like, oh, so, you know, who'd you play
with at recess? And he goes, oh, we didn't go outside.
(24:02):
We played Uno in the classroom. Said oh, that's fun.
Would you play Huno with? He names a couple of
people and he goes, but I quit. I said, what
do you mean you quit? He goes, I had like
twenty cards. I knew I'm gonna I wasn't gonna win,
so I quit And I said, Bud, that's not how
(24:23):
life goes. I said, you can't be doing that. I said,
because if you're gonna quit in the middle of games,
no one's gonna want to play with you. I said, Like,
if we were playing at home and you quit the
next game I play, I'm not gonna say, hey, Bud,
do you want to play Uno? Because I know you're
just gonna quit if you're not gonna win. He goes, well,
I had no chance to win dat, and I wasn't
having fun, and the point of it is to have fun.
(24:46):
I said, yeah, But he goes to other people. They
had two or one car two or three cards left,
so I knew I wasn't gonna beat them. So I
wasn't having fun. I said, yes, but you can still
impact the game because you can change the color, you
can draw two, you can put a skip down. You
still have an effect on the outcome of the game. Dad,
(25:09):
I wasn't having fun, I said.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Well, let me use a gambling analogy.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I said, so in soccer, if we're playing and we're
down four goals to none, are you just gonna quit?
Because there's only two minutes left and we don't have
a chance to win. That's different, Dad.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Or baseball fourteen to one.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Thirteen to one, And Dad, is that different? It's different
because you're using your muscles and stuff and that so
you can always come back, Okay. And I just I've
quit before. I said, well, it just seems like you
don't have fun if you're losing. If you're winning, you
and there Oh no, Dad, I quit one time and
(25:46):
un when I had one card left. No, you didn't,
you know what, Dad, I just don't want to talk
about it. I don't want to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Quit with one card left winning.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
There's no change, absolutely no chance.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
He did this pretty ball or move if he did, though.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Yeah, but there's absolutely zero percent chance he's ever quit
when he's winning. Like, we gotta get out of this
mind frame that you quit when you're losing. We can't
be doing that crap because people are gonna want to
play with you, all right. Cool.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
So then we get about two blocks from the house
and all of a sudden, ah, my.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Ankle hurts, My anclehorts, Dad, my anchor hurts. Is this
a comedy show?
Speaker 1 (26:28):
My ancor hurts and I'm like, I just ignore it.
I would hope I just ignore it. And so then
he starts being more dramatic. I don't know if I
can pedal.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Mychel hearts my he coorts, my cords, my coorts. Finally,
after a block, I'll give in. I'm gonna take de bait.
I'm gonna take de bait. Hey, baby box one, what
happened to your ankle? I just think I'm too active.
I'm always on my feet doing stuff. True, I mean,
(27:01):
just im my ankle hurts. Oh did he have body aches? No?
Just ankle hurt. I'm like, oh man, I'm so sorry, Bud.
And he goes, I just I just never sit down.
Maybe I need to rest more.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
I'm with him.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
I'm like, okay, when we get home, we can, you know,
take a break and have a snack. And we get
home and he puts the bike in the yard. He goes, Dad,
can you bring my bike inside because my ankle hurts?
My ankle. I'm like, you're walking into the house. You
can walk your bike into the house. No, my ankle
(27:38):
And he leaves it.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Just leave it there how we always do and don't
ever park him.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
And he goes inside and sits down on the couch
just having a snack.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
And drinking a beer.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Oh, my ankle, my ankle, and my wife. I don't
know where she was going, what she was doing. She
was looking for something. She goes out to the car
and he runs out there after mom, mom my Anchel hurts.
Michael hurts, and she goes, well, why are you running
outside to tell me? Well, because I needed, you know, Michael.
Michael hurts, What.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
The Tyrese Halliburn's going on?
Speaker 2 (28:13):
He just wants he I'm showing. The emotions of the
first day are crazy.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
They were so emotionally got a hurt ankle from it.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
His ankle didn't hurt ray, He's just yelling things to
be dramatic. That's what kids do.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
What about a fake nine one one call?
Speaker 2 (28:29):
But how about the running outside to go tell my
wife that his ankle hurts, Like, if your ankle hurts,
you're not getting up off the couch and running outside.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
To tell her your ankle hurt. True hilarious facts.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Then it's time to get ready for bed, and that's
where Baby Box two his emotions for the first day
of first grade. I said, hey, Bud, it's time to
go brush teeth. I'm not gonna brush teeth today. Dad. Okay,
but you gotta go brush teeth. Already brushed them. No
(29:01):
you didn't. He goes, well, I don't feel like brushing
my teeth today. I've had a big day. I understand
you've had a big day, but that still means you
have to brush teeth. No, I went to school. I'm tired.
I just want to go to bed. Said all right, Bud,
here's the thing. I'm gonna take the trash out, and
(29:24):
when I come back, if you're not in there brushing
your teeth, you lose stories. Okay, that's fine, Dad, So
take the trash out, come back in.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Guess what he's doing reading his own stories.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Nope, just sitting there. I said, okay, Bud, you have
now lost stories, so you don't have to brush your teeth.
Just make sure you go potty and you don't have
to brush your teeth. That's fine. You decide you don't
want to brush your teeth, you won't hear stories, No, Dad,
Please don't want to hear stories. I want to hear stories.
Please please please give me one more chants, give me
(29:59):
what much chats? Nobud?
Speaker 1 (30:01):
You made your decision, so he doesn't get to read,
and it proves literacy or his hygiene.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
He doesn't get to listen to the story. Hey, this
is the one thing that the kids care about is stories.
So I go with baby Box one and Baby Box
three to read stories. And I mean, you would have
thought a tornado was going through my house. Baby Box
two starts slamming everything in his path, and he sits
there with a dog kennel and starts just slamming the
(30:29):
door bam bam. Then he goes to the bedroom door
boom boom, boom boom, just slamming everything.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
I would have been beaten to death.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
All because of the first day of school.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
So right, I put him in ten seconds of time out.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Then he climbs in the dog kennel and won't come out.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Ha ha, that's great.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
And I'm like, hey, bud Proof, I'm like, baby Box two,
come here. And he has a piece of paper and
he's covering his face with it and he's like, no.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Baby Box two, here just a piece of paper. Just
a piece of paper, dude, you live And I'm freaking
insanea island and.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I am like, what the hell is going on? And
so I texted the neighborhood group.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
And I said, does anybody want two kids?
Speaker 2 (31:24):
No, I said, guys, they forgot to remind us with
his back to school comes absolute monsters with attitude after
day one. Hope you're two had it because there's two
new ones that started kindergarten. I hope they had a great day.
And the mom replied, oh, my kindergartener is a bear,
absolute bear on a terror. And I just picked up
(31:45):
my older one. They put him in the wrong bus line.
Let me tell you, he's very, very angry. And I said, man,
this back to school crap. They don't say that in
the pamphlets. They make it all wonderful on the two
but back to school. Wow, happy first day of school.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
You have those text threads rolling into your phone. Yeah,
oh my gosh, dude, some parents just need to get busier.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Stop.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
My kid is so mad right now, geez, who would
ever text that? You should see how mad they are
parent text thread. My dad on a parent text thread
back in the day, he'll join one. Now he's got
all the time in the world. But during the heyday
of his job, my dad would have never responded to
(32:34):
one of those. My kid's attitudes are bad, have a
good night. He would have never texted back, what a
wild world.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
We were laughing about it. We were like, man, we
forgot all about this. It's been a year. We forgot
about this, the emotions. And then Baby Box two ended
up sleeping in the guest room. He didn't even want
to sleep in his room.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Oh not even on your side of the quarters.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
He wanted to sleep in the guest room. And was like, wow, man,
this is this is ray.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
When you got nine bedrooms, there's options.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
So all you parents out there, I don't know if
your first day of school has happened yet, if it's today, tomorrow,
next week, But may the Lord bless you with little monsters,
just like I have after the first day of school.
Be nice, be kind, and be patient. Just remember only
a few more weeks till summer. We'll take a break.
We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Yeah, if you remember to put in the commercial right here, No,
I'm telling you, I know you do it.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
There is no way that I put the commercial in
mid sentence. I check every single time I write it
down on a sheet of paper like I have a
clock going on my phone. I know what I am doing.
So there is no way. The only way that can
happen is if that whatever platform we use messes up.
That's it. Yeah, because we got emails guys saying that
(33:55):
I'm putting the commercials in mid sentence, like in the
middle of a conversation. The comer she'll get to put in.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
No, no, no, no. The emails were more there was an
issue with the mag show and it was more technical
and stuff like that. But then somebody a chimeer in
or maybe from three years ago. One time you put
a commercial in between a sentence, They go, yeah, he
put a commercial in between a sentence of Eddie one time.
So there's that. Okay, yeah, all right, do you want
(34:21):
me to pull out the NUDI mag to make this happen?
Speaker 2 (34:22):
We're gonna go to the NUDI mag because we need
some inspirational quotes for the fantasy football this year.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
The backstory, I got this free fifteen dollars magazine staying
at Circa playing in that basketball tournament, and it's got
good fantasy information. But it's like the Circa magazine and
I pulled to the center spread and it is quite
the center spread.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
We will post them, my god, dude on our Instagram
I wonder if they get paid extra to be in
this magazine. It almost looks like a playboy.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
That's what I'm saying. And the reason we're reading it
is because they all had to make up fake quotes
about how much they love all these loser, middle aged
guys hosting their fantasy football at CIRCA.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
These are the girls you can hire to be in
your draft room.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
And like she's wearing that, this is Mish, Mish, but
she's wearing white. It's a one piece and then obviously
no middle to it. Yeah, but as she's picking, oh
you want Ceedee Lamb and so then they're like, okay, Mish, so.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
What is it you like so much about this?
Speaker 1 (35:17):
And she goes fantasy drafts are my favorite time of
the year. There's nothing better than friendly competition on draft day.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Okay, thank you, Mish.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
So that that was fine. And then they go to
Elena and she is in a green bikini.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Yes she is. She is tam She got the oil
on to make the sun shine off her skim.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
And it seems like she does the EyeBlack I hot
and she'll wear like ski glasses. And also I believe
she's the one that's putting the names on the draw
on the board.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
And so they want something like, hey, fake something so
that these dirty, overweight guys come into our or our
poolside sportsbook bar to do their fans and pay whatever.
They pay, probably five thousand.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Dollars, a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
And so they go Alina, say something, say something, and
she goes, quote, I love being part of the full
time fantasy team at CIRCA. It's so much fun. And
she did a semicolon. Oh boy, it doesn't feel like
work at all. Heydutz, bring me another beer, and she goes,
can't wait to see what this coming season brings us.
(36:24):
I'll tell you a couple truck drivers drooling.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Oh, who's next?
Speaker 1 (36:34):
All right, let's move over to Celeste.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Hold on, is that Celeste that grew up around the
corner for me because she was the hottest chick in
the world. No, that's not her. All right.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
We have got a white bikini and she's got beads
around her stone.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
She has a ref shirt on in the picture below.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
So maybe game day she goes a little bit more
sporty and she has to do a quote and I
quote Celeste, it's a truly fabulous event, so many amazing people,
a stunning venue, and the prize pool is seriously impressive.
I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of it. Dude,
(37:12):
did they hold a gun to these chicks heads? They
have to hate draft Day. It's a bunch of dudes
trying to grab their ass. You know what they love
is all the tips they get. They get so many
chips from these fantasy football drafts. That's all it is.
That's what it is. That's what they love. Hey, Celeste,
what cup size are you? They're probably original jerk off.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
They're probably like, God, these guys are such losers. And
then we have and you know, every one guy in
every group is hitting on these chicks, and they're like, guys,
I'm not going out with someone that comes to Vegas
and rent a room for their fantasy football draft.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Daphne oh And in one of her pictures, it's her
with two dudes, oh from the draft room, from the
draft room. Oh yes, And they go in hard for
the picture. They got both their arms all over and
then she has a Daphne sandwich. She's got a black
bikini on and then one of those cover ups underneath. Yeah,
and they go Daphne obviously forced her to do some
(38:08):
happy quote to make you want to go to draft
day and pat lots of money, and she said, I
quote Daphne, we have so much fun getting to know everyone. Yeah, hello,
hold on, I'm off the quote. Shit, they getting to
know them.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
They hate these losers. Daphne is making those guys. Every
guy that reads this magazine think they have a shot
with Daphne. Daphne is laying the sea like, oh, we
love to chat and get to know you because we
care about you. On a personal leven. She is won
like a stripper that you think likes you. This girl
doesn't like you.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
I quote back to the beginning of Daphne's quote, we
have so much fun getting to know everyone before the drafts,
during the drafts, and especially at stadium swim after the drafts.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Trust me, let me see her. Trust me.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
The second the draft edge over, they all are out
of the.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Let me see. Oh man, I'm trying to see. I
think mish mish Mish's gonna be my number one draft pick.
I think that's my number one. And then I'm thinking,
oh man, it's between Daphne and Alena. Celeste is definitely
four m But Mish is number one. I think that's
my number one. Then I'm gonna go Daphne, then Alena
(39:31):
and then Celeste. That's my draft order.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Man. Uh give me, yeah, just give me Beazer on
this one, right, But uh, Daphne, beautiful quote. But I
must say, there's no way after your shift that these
draft parties are so fun that you stick around at
stadium swim to hang out with guys in football jerseys
(39:55):
and nachos and twelve beers crushed on table.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
No chance, zero percent chance we.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Get to know them before dirry and after for the
after parties. Hey, you wanna stick around here, We'll get
another twelve rection.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
It's gonna be a blast.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
We're a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Man, We're gonna pay you know what we're gonna do.
Oh you guys going to the tables. No, we're gonna
break down each other's teams. We're gonna laugh at the
draft picks.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Hey, what do you think of my team? I'd say
if I drafted you would be a little bit better.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
You want to be my co manager? I could always
use some help in the draft rooms.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Security quotes were phenomenal, girls, every single one of you
absolute great job punching up those quotes.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Oh man. Yeah, and don't forget guys, I mean fantasy season.
This is the best time of the year. It's the beginning,
it's all. It's what you anticipate. You think, oh my gosh,
my team's gonna be so good, and then the draft
happens and it's all downhill from there. Right now, the
anticipation of the draft is the best because your draft
is not gonna go the way you think, so your
(41:06):
team's gonna suck most likely, and so it's gonna be downhill.
So just enjoy the anticipation. Just listen to those quotes,
get some inspiration, and get ready.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Justin he's only played it a couple of years. And
he goes, we are naming some players, and he goes
and I said, you don't really know fantasy yet, but
you'll start. He goes, it seems like we're starting to
draft the same team we picked last year. I said, yeah,
Lunch had Joe Mixon for like five straight.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Seasons, and I had Scary Terry for like five straight seasons.
But now Joe Mixing may be done, his career is over. Yeah,
And I saw Sean Morse, he's in the league. Bush
light dude, he's never played fantasy okay, but he's excited.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
I saw him cracking one open.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Dude, that's all he does, bush light, bush light. All Right, everybody,
have a great Wednesday. That was kind of a good pod. Dude.
I thought that was fun. Huh. We should get we
should get Babybox and baby Box two on the pod
so they can, you know, be excited about it.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
I was gonna say we should we gotta get like
fake quotes, oh from people, But how much they love
the pod.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
That's funny. That's really funny.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
And yeah, yeah, props to circum man. Well how you
got those quotes out of those girls? Like they're not
hell at stadium swim against thrown will for these loser
parties with their draft teams and jerseys, and I mean
every single one of them is slovingly disgusting.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Oh man. Yeah, maybe maybe maybe someone of these fantasy
football leagues have soaked up with these chicks, maybe one
out of a million, but it's highly unlikely, highly unlikely. Oh,
have a good Wednesday, guys, We're out, man. That was
good man, that was fun man. Oh I forgot to
read this email longtime listener. First time emailer loved the
(42:55):
kid talk. As a mom of a four and six
year old, I love hearing all the chaos and sports.
I've never related more. I mean, I love getting first
time emailers. If you're looking for a funny movie to
watch with the kids, small Foot on Netflix is the best. Enjoy.
Thanks for the laughs. That's from Darcy oh Man. But yeah, guys,
don't forget to pay Fantasy Football League. If you got
(43:17):
your name drawn radio Lunchbox on Venmo, you have till
Thursday night and midnight Central to pay your money, or
else we have to redraw Friday. We want you in
this league. Best of luck, have a great Wednesday. Oh
we already did that. We buzzed right man. I'm tired. Hey,
way to power through, man, I appreciate it.
