Lunchbox had to apologize for not supporting Ray life during his basketball competition because he was enjoying a night out on the town. Lunchbox had a very interesting evening out that started with a dinner where he never got to see the menu that took him to a random party and ended out at the bars in Printers Alley. Ray has his feelings hurt by people online which has shaken his confidence so this podcast might suck. Plus Ray got stuck next to a strange couple who constantly made out the entire flight home.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are one hundred days away from the two thousand
and twenty seven Sore Losers Convention presented by freelan' Shevroley,
and you can see that on our Instagram. Sore Losers
Podcast put a whole bunch of crap up there. I
got a video me and the beer layer truck that
they let me use.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Dude, you found in the video? Yeah, I gott did
you do that?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Just ways? Didn't you send it to me or something?
Or I looked on our Instagram archive.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
You can take a story from the archive and download it.
Didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
That is why A majority here's a pro tip. A
majority of the stuff I put on Instagram, I put
for myself so I can look back, and I can
look back five years and go to a vacation. I
went on and see pictures from it from the archive.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Literally thought the story disappeared after twenty four hours. That's
what they tell you.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Archive is one of my favorite things on social media.
I go back and live my life whenever I'm bored.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Wow, I never knew that I thought it disappeared.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
We are the Sore Losers Podcast, where a spin off
of The Bobby Bone Show, and I guess let's get
us right.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, I mean we might as well. It's Monday. We
got a lot to talk about. Dude, we're gonna do
it live. We oh the one two three solar loser?
What up, everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most
about sports, so I'll give you the sports facts, my
sports opinions, because I'm pretty much a sports genius.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Y'all. Had sison from the North, alpha male, as you know.
At Papa Shop in Vegas. I was on ESPN Plus.
I put on my profile from gwyn, Michigan. So I
don't know if people went from Wyoming were offended by that.
I don't know if people from Nashville were offended by that.
But I did put my location as Michigan. That's where
I claimed there.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I'm not sure they showed that.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
It was in house, Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I was like, I don't think they just said your
name and I didn't see anything about bio and I
was like, did I miss them putting his city?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
But y'all, I am from the North. I'm an alpha male.
I live on the North side of Nashville, Baser two acres,
freshly Mode two point three acres. We got two kids,
at Vanderbilt there they still need to be fertilized. Justin
needs to check on him, but he's on his dinghy
right now on gun Lake. Probably gonna hit up the
casino later. I hope you're doing well, coach. I'm gonna
stop talking because there was a very negative post about

(02:14):
me and how I am on this podcast, So over
to you, I'll just produce.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Oh, here we go. You're all in your feelings. You're
all in your feelings. I got a question for you.
Uh Ray, Romando, Romando, Sazen, Risen Unknow, they couldn't say
your damn name to save their live.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Dude. And one of the dudes is a legend in
the community. I get a lot of this stuff is
in the community. Truckers. You have your own community with
the lizards. We get it. Obviously, where's my horn? The
guy was named Nicky Buckets, absolute legend, and the guy
goes Nicky butts. I.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I couldn't believe how many of the names that he
was like doing, and I was just like, what is
going on.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
People at home were saying that he would announce a
name and go I hope I got that right.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
It was hilarious, Like I thought they would at least
go over the names before, like meet everybody, Okay, how
do you say your name? If you have any question,
it can't be that hard to ask them, Hey, what
is your name? And then the numbering system? Can you
explain the numbering system? Because there's only sixty four people right, yes,
and some numbers are like six hundred and twenty six.

(03:27):
It's like what, Like you have the number on the
back of your shirt and I'm like, well, why aren't
they just numbers one through sixty four? Correct?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
The numbers went up to one thousand?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Why explain that to me?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Mine was one one one.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I couldn't understand it at all.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
And then I don't know if it confused y'all either.
We're gonna touch tons of this on the big show,
so this is just the ancillary stuff. But when it
would say on the screen for you guys, you would
say M one, M two, M three, it wasn't talking
about Morgan one and Morgan two from the Bob. That
was the machines we were on, but probably made no
sense to you guys at home.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Didn't really understand it. And then I'm like, where'd to go? Oh?
They went to a different four. Are they ever gonna
go back? And then they wouldn't show you the score,
they would show you the side of your faces. And
I was like, huh, okay, well, I don't know who's winning.
You're just showing me the side of their face. And
the commentators, can I just tell you, the commentators absolutely hilarious.

(04:25):
We couldn't hear them, dude, I mean, oh my gosh,
like well, I mean, oh, I mean, it looks like
his wrist is getting a little tired. I mean his
form is a little off right now. He's been a
legend around the Papa shot community for years and uh,
oh man, his arms are like jello right now. When
you go to a third game and a rubber match.
In these games, your arm is feeling it and you

(04:46):
just had to fight through the pain to advance because
there is no tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I think that was the owner of it.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh really, I believe so okay. And then the puppet guy.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Mister Pop.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Okay, look, Ray looks like a pedophile. No, no, no,
I don't mind, mister Pop. But if you're gonna have
the other guy doing mister Pop's voice, get him out
of the camera. Like he had half his face you'd
see his lips moving as he's doing the puppet. I'm like, guys,
if you wanted to appear the puppet is the one

(05:19):
doing it, get the guy's face off the screen.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yet ESPN, you don't show the puppeteer, just the puppet.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yes, Ray, we're all puppets. But I said all this
to let you know, amazing run.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I want to apologize to you that I was not
able to watch it live, that I had to watch
it Sunday morning, so all my cheering and yelling was
for nothing because the outcome had already been decided. But
I honestly stayed off the socials and had no idea
how you did.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Oh that's fun because no spoilers at the gas station
I was.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
I'd walk in everywhere and I was like, hey, no spoilers,
no spoilers. And when I tried to look it up,
I was like. I went to ESPN Plus and I
type in pop a shot nothing. I'm like, okay, Las
Vegas pop Nope, okay basketball, Las Vegas. Found all sorts

(06:18):
of Summer League stuff and I'm like, where how is
this not on ESPN Plus? Like I thought ESPN Plus
recorded everything, so you could go back and watch it.
It took me twenty five minutes to find that it
was called Papa Palooza and not Papa Shot.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Had some other people hit me up, but that wasn't
my worry for people finding it, so I didn't really investigate.
I didn't really care if people watch it or not.
Thank you for your interest, but I assumed that the
search situation was a little complicated, Like I don't understand
the messages that I got.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I can't understand why ESPN wouldn't have or whoever is
running it. It's not Papa Shot Papa Palooza. Like when
you type in Papa Shot in the ESPN plus, that
should have come up because Papa Shot was everywhere.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I wonder if they can control that.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Probably not CANYEWD search.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
We should ask Morgan or not.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, anyway, the problem was my friend Meredith that I
went to high school with. She was in town on Saturday,
or she was in town this weekend, and she was like, hey,
can we get together? But I was like absolutely, and
she was like dinner Friday night and I was like, ooh,
not gonna work. I said, that's my son's eighth birthday.
She goes all right, how about brunch on Saturday? I said,

(07:31):
count me in, And.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
We did lunch already on Friday. You didn't want to
be double book right.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
We did lunch on Friday for a going away party
from Morgan Rest in Peace, and I couldn't skip the
birthday dinner at the same time. So I was like, yes,
I'm in for brunch. And then Thursday I realized I'm
out for brunch because baby Box two had a birthday
party to attend on the lake.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
First two.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
No, we were going fishing for another buddy's birthday on
a boat on the lake right there by the airport
Old Hickory mm. And so I was like I had
to hit her back and be like, hey, sorry out
on the brunch. Is there anything else you're doing?

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I can, you know, crash other events during the weekend?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yes? She said, oh, how about dinner Saturday night? I
said what time is dinner? And she said seven o'clock?
And I hit up the wife. I said, Hey, what
time is that party you want to go to in
the neighborhood and she goes, it's five to seven. I said, perfect,
can you make it five to six forty five? So
I can go to dinner with Meredith and you know

(08:37):
you come home and watch the kids. Absolutely, So I
hit Meredith back.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
What is she the babysitter?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Well, she's going to the party in the neighborhood and
then I'll go out to dinner. Because I didn't care
about going to the party in the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
What's your rate for four hours? Like what? Well?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I wanted to see if she would leave the party early,
you know, in it at seven. Dinner was at seven,
so I wanted to make sure that she would be
good leaving the party early, right, So I hit Maryith back,
I said, I am in for dinner. Boom, change that reservation.
So she changed the reservation from three to four to
include me. And dinner was at seven. Your thing was

(09:13):
at eight, And I was like, all right, that's all right,
I'll eat dinner, I'll get home and i'll find it out
ESPN Plus. So get ready for dinner. I'm sitting there.
My wife said she'd be home at six forty five.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
And she's cool. You just rolling with this chick?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
There's been one time my wife was cool with it.
But I mean I don't think Hey, a girl from
school's coming to town. I'm gonna chill with her.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, I mean, my wife's met her. We went to
dinner back in Austin, like six years ago with her, So,
I mean, what's the big deal.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
She just knows, you guys aren't gonna bump uggly.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah, we're not gonna bump buggly.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
She knows.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
We're just going to dinner and then we're peace out.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
See you later.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Good to see you. Have a good trip. I'm out
of here here, so, I mean, I get I get dressed,
I'm out of the shower. Six thirty eight, I'm all right, Cool,
hanging out with the kids. Six forty one. Cool, six
forty six. Wife's still not home. Minute late, six point
fifty one. Wife's still not home, and I get a text.

(10:20):
He Marita says, Hey, we're here at the restaurant. I'm like, sorry,
my wife is not home yet. I apologize. I will
try to be there as soon as possible to take
me about twelve minutes. Once she arrives home, I apologize.
Cool six fifty five, No wife.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Timeline six fifty seven.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
The wife walks in the door. I'm so sorry. I'm
so sorry. I was right when I was leaving this
I was right at the door, and this older lady
stopped me and one to chat, and I couldn't just
be rude to her, so I had to chat for.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
A little while.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
How's I whatever? And I ern, I'm out of there.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
You have fun.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
And I drive downtown and I park at the city
Center and I walk over to the restaurant and I
walk in. I'm like, whoa, this place is nice.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
I already know it farmed a table. Nope, Ray that
place went under with the lettuce situation. No, this place
was a sushi restaurant. Would never go Oh dude. I
walk in, lights are looking cool, got cool artwork. I'm like, okay,
this is ridiculous. And I walking looking around, looking around,
and there's Meredith. Give her a big old hug, sit down,

(11:35):
meet her boyfriend, meet her friend that also lives in Nashville.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
And I'm like, all right, man, And all of a sudden,
the food's already coming. They have not waited to order.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
You were that late.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
I was fifteen minutes late, and they did not wait.
They had true appetizers on the table.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
That might be pro tip because you didn't even have
to wait for anything.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
It was awesome. I was like, what is this. They're like, oh,
I don't care, I'll just seet it whatever, And I
put some on a plate, eat it, and then all
of a sudden, the sushi starts coming. Bam, bam. I
never ordered a thing.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
You and Scuba got a date. He loves sushi too.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I mean, I didn't ever even look at the menu.
I don't even know how much anything was. At this point.
I'm just like, whoa, Okay, I guess we're just gonna
eat whatever you guys ordered.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Sounds good because, yeah, you're not seeing any prices.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I'm not seeing prices because the menus were already gone, right,
even when.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
You become rich, not that you have become oh, when
you still look at prices. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
So it's a weird feeling because stuff just kept coming.
And I'm like, what did we order?

Speaker 1 (12:39):
If you start seeing stuff that looks like cal or
actually at sushi so everyne and I'm like, how expensive
can dang sushi be?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I don't know, that's a great question.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Bluefin ray tuna. I don't know what.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I had because I didn't see the menu, but they
kept bringing. I was like, man, that one's delicious.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
So you don't know a price or even what the
stuff's called.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
You guys eat, don't have a clue, don't know what
the rolls were called, don't know what any of it
was called. None of it. You're on a blind dinner.
Blind dinner. Like literally, when I sat down and the
appetizers were on the table, the lady was collecting the
menus and took the menus. So I never even saw
the menu. I don't even know one price, don't know anything,

(13:21):
don't know the different sections that it was broken down into.
I was just there like I was just like, Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
My favorite is the taking of the menus. And Chick
fil A also no menus. Oh so what I want dessert?
But guess what your waiter took the menu thirty minutes ago.
So let me just try and guess what you have, Jeff, cheesecake?
Do you have chocolate cake? Do you have ice cream?
Do you have cookie cake? Continue?

Speaker 2 (13:41):
So I'm like, all right, I'm just eating and eating,
and if there's one thing I can do, it's eat.
And so I'm just I'm feeling like a pig. Just oh,
you guys can eat. I'll eat that boop and this
one roll. Oh my god, it was so good Texas
Roadhouse and I was like, I mean, how can a
roll be bro No.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I've had the best Texas roadhouse.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
No no, no, this little bit of cinnamon butter no, no, no,
no no no.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Oh, Charlie's is pretty good too.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Oh no, no, no roadhouse. Texas Roadhouse rules are the
best on the planet. It's not even there's no question.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Just trying to get it a number two.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
But Old Charlie's. I've never been there. It's for like
seventy year olds. But me and beser go love it.
That's the perfect place. It's like Jim's in Austin. My
grandparents used to go.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Though it is until you go there. The old man
walks up to the counter where they do the Uber
eats and door dash and he thinks it's the exit
and he starts ramming the cash register and his son goes.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Dude, Dad, that's not the exit. And I eat. I
get this one last piece of sushi off this one roll,
and I eat it. I'm like, gosh, that was so delicious.
And the Merediths boyfriend's like, you want another one? I
was like yeah, he goes, can go with another one
one of those I still don't know what it is,
so he just said another one of those.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
So Americans.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
We just I absolutely devoured all this food, and I mean,
I don't know what one of it was. And that
new role came out of the one I loved. I
think one person had one piece and I ate the
whole rest of it. And there was some fried chicken
that came out unbelievably good. I crushed so much food.
Fried chicken at a sushi place. Very interesting. Yeah, I

(15:20):
didn't know, but I ordered a hamburger at a Mexican
rashi but it had like a miso glaze on it.
Oh dude, it was really good.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Ray went to a Mexican place, ordered a pizza.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I understand it sounds weird, but this and then I'm
like all right, you know, and they're like, oh, you
want dessert. I'm like, you guys wanted to dirt. So
she brought a dessert menu. So that is when I
saw a menu and I didn't even look at it
because I'm like, well, I haven't ordered one thing yet.
I figure you guys will order for me. And she
came back and she's like, what do you guys thinking
Mare's like, I don't want dessert. Her boyfriend's like, I

(15:54):
don't want dessert. Another girl was in the bathroom and
I was like, well, I guess I don't want dessert either.
And then the girl from the bathroom came back and
we're like, oh, did you want dessert? She goes, well,
if you guys aren't having it, I don't want dessert.
All right, great, So here comes the bill and I
get my card out. I guess we'll just split it
four ways. Merediths. Boyfriend's like, I got it flex. I'm

(16:16):
like what. He goes, don't worry about it, man, business expense,
maybe maybe ray biddiness people making business deal trying to
get that money. He was like, dude, don't worry about this.
I mean, it's just great to meet you guys. It's
like fun, Like this is awesome.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Wow, an unnecessary two hundred dollars bill.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Unnecessary. And here's the thing. So I still have no
idea how much anything was what the total bill costs.
I have no idea nothing.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
You were such an American, it was awesome. All these
people in overseas know the name of wine and this
and that. You didn't even know that what you damn
ate that you were shoving in your mouth. Correct, you
learned nothing but a full gut, full.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Gut man full gut. So I'm like, all right, man, like,
let's let's let's go. I'm gonna go home and I'm
gonna watch it rady do some Papa shot. I'm gonna
go find it on ESPN. Plus. They're like, oh, wait,
we're going to a party. Do you want to come?

Speaker 1 (17:17):
So they wanted dinner and an after.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm like what, They're like, yeah, yeah, it's right down here.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
I thought she was visiting.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
She is, but her friend that lives here. Her friend
was having a party.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
So I'm like, okay, cool, all right, it's right here
at a condo. We'll go to it.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Geez dude.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
So we go to the downtown, the arcade downtown. Yeah,
walking through there, she's like, it's right around here somewhere.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
I do what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah, And we get to the end of the arcade,
She's like, there, it is right there. It was a
party at a clothing store.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
It was one of those store opening or.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Just staying open late. And then the clothes were on
the first floor, the alcohol was on the second floor.
And on the third floor, you go up there and
there's no air conditioning, it's under construction. And there's a
guy standing on a tarp rocking the guitar.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Oh, sweatshop, what'd you get?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
No, I bought nothing. It was a bunch of sparkly
like sequence, like it was all different colors and textures
and like it was crazy.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
I went to the exact same building you did to
an art gallery on a Saturday night, and it was
the same thing. People were drinking. Yeah, and BJ left
with two thousand dollars paintings of Nashville.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
See that's what I mean. Like I didn't even understand
what it was. See here's the clothes.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Well, that's what they do. They want people. You had
a smiley faced jacket. You would have looked great in that, man.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, and so it was kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
You wear that into work. Bones would have told you
to leave, yep, and definitely put your hoodie back on.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
And here's the guy just sitting on the tarp playing
the guitar.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
He was definitely on a tarp. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Like it was just so interesting and we were there
and there was all these people and it was like
people that I was like what is going on? They're like,
what is this guy doing here? He doesn't look like
he fits in here. So you have a couple of drinks,
watch this guy dram the guitar and look at the clothes,
and like everybody, some people are buying stuff. I'm like,
all right, let's go there, Like all right, you ready

(19:14):
to go to a bar? And I'm like, what dinner?

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Then the after party? Now the after after did you go?
We'll tell you after the break. I'm starting to get
better at these because of the complaints. I listened to
what they said, and I am now not interrupting stories
and giving good teases and being more of like a

(19:38):
radio host. They said, I was doing a lot of
annoying radio things.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
So why are you all in your field? Dude? You
should be on cloud nine after your Papa shot adventure
and you are letting someone on the internet tell you
you're not funny.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
No, I want it in Vegas and Baser goes, don't
check blank, and I go what And she goes, just
don't check. They're going absolutely off on you, and I
checked and they were. They let me up pretty good.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
So but this is getting an amazing podcast.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
So you were negative, you had negative feelings going into
Papa Shot because you listen to some people on the
internet and what do they say, you're not funny or
what are You're not good?

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Well, I don't understand, just like horrible. They wish that
you were on this podcast on your own. No, no,
my name's Bennet Eying in it. My name is Paul.
It's up to y'all.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
That wouldn't work. Your funny commentary adds to it. Your
funny stories add to it. Your your your your your
energy adds to it. So I don't know what people
are talking about. But anyway, so I'm like, what bar
are you guys going to. They're like, oh, we're going
into Print Printer's Alley to Bourbon Street Blues or whatever
Bourbon Street know it. And I'm like, oh, fun place,
you know what I mean. But I'm like, man, I'm

(20:47):
really kind of tired. I've had a long day and
this is the after after party, and I'm like a man, like,
come on, come on, let's just go. And I'm like,
all right, it's just right here, right around the corner
from the shop. All right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Have the drinks been flowing?

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Yeah? They had drinks at dinner, and then we had
the drinks at that that whatever restaurant not even restaurant,
clothing store slash party room on the second floor slash
guitar guy on the third floor.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Makes sense because if you weren't drinking, there's no way
you're doing after after correct.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
And so then I'm like, all right, I guess I'm
going to Bourbon Street Blues. And we get in line,
get in line, We get up there and the lady's like,
see your ID shure on I d everybody shows IDs.
She's like, that'll be ten dollars a person that dude
pulls off rips off of fifty goes that's for all
four of us. Keep flexing, and I'm like, whoa, what

(21:42):
is going on?

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I should marry you?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
This is crazy. And so then we go and we
can't find a seat because it's packed packed in there.
So we go up to the second floor and we
get seats way back. So he came and see the
band that's setting up, and then some people in the
front row of the upper deck they leave and we
go hit we am over there. They only have two
chairs for four people, so we take one chair from
where we're at handing over the balcony, and so we're

(22:07):
squeezed on three chairs for four people. So my left
cheek is on the chair and my right cheek is
hanging off.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
The chick's sitting on your lap.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
No, Meredith's right cheek is on the chair, her right
leg touching my left leg, and her left cheek is
sharing the chair with her boyfriend. Or it's off. I
don't know, but it was two people, one chair.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
That's going to pair perfectly with my story on the plane,
if we ever get to it.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
No, we're about to get to it.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
If the critics want me to tell a story.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yes we do. And so we sat there and watched
the band for a good hour and a half and
it was great. From the upper deck, you see all
these how drunk people are down below, the people dancing
and dancing, and one girl was just like kept pointing
her hand at the different people in the band and
dancing back and forth, and me and Meredith are laughing,
look at how drunk she is. Look at it. Oh

(22:58):
my how scale one to ten? How drunk? And she's
just like And then after about an hour, the girl's like,
she talks to her friend, she goes like, I'm gonna
go that way. She took two steps that way.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Blah.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Now she goes. I think the stage was holding her up.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Fricking McGregor.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
She went down, dude, and then she crawls back up.
You know what I mean. We never saw her again
the rest.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Of the night. It was a good run in Nashville.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah. So we stayed out there till about midnight, and
then I was like, all right, guys, it's about time
to wrap this up. And I walked them around the
corner to their hotel and I said good night, good night, goodnight.
That's it. I got home around midnight and I said,
Papa Shot will wait until the morning. Yeah, so yes,
So tell me about your couple on your way to

(23:40):
Papa Shot. What happened on the airplane?

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Nothing, This is on the way home. On the way home,
thanks for reading the notes.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
It said, couple on the airplane.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
I'm in way back because it was an eighteen hundred
dollars flight blessed by Bones. Bones paid for it. I
was at the back of the plane, which that must
mean that I was one of the last people to
purchase a ticket on this flight. And this couple comes
up and the lady has her suitcase, and so you
could take all the time he wants. I was at
the I'm telling you, I was next to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Were you in the window?

Speaker 1 (24:10):
The window beautiful. And the lady's taking stuff from her bag.
I think they maybe were from overseas. And she's just
throwing it in the middle seat. But some of it's
kind of hitting me. So this is just the start
of how I didn't exist on this plane. So she's
just throwing her stuff. A purse, a shirt, a pair
of socks. Hits me, just throwing it in the middle seat,

(24:32):
but not just gently setting it. I guess she needed
certain stuff while she was giving on the plane, so
she's just tossing it hit me in the side, no
sorries or anything. Maybe that's how they do it overseas,
just a little bit more abrupt, you know, not abrasive,
not ray not not courteous like us in the States.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, we are all about manners here.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
So the flight starts when we're all just rocking and rolling.
The dude, I mean, big Jack, the Desolaton. Yeah soccer, yep, guys,
look him up. That's how he looked. Okay, Yes, and
he talked so deep and he's using the f for
it all the time. He's like, I don't know, I
mean can who knows? And then he tells me he's

(25:14):
gonna can tell me that. Go over there and can
tell me that. I'll tell you. Get off the plane.
Couldn't really hear her voice, which is weird, but his
just overpowering hurt it the whole time.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Should die piece.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I took a picture and I was thinking, we don't
want to post stuff like that. Weird. It'd actually bring
down the entire podcast if they could sue us. Yeah,
it's gonna be a creeper picture. But I just want
you to be able to see. Okay, so play that
video and you can kind of just get a gauge

(25:50):
of what we're looking at.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
You look happy, dude, you look tired.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
It's a flight home from Vegas.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah, okay, so you see you get a gage of Yeah,
I got her.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
And so she's sitting there, takes a nap, he maybe
stayed awake. Then she wakes up and here we go,
oh yeah they're kissing.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Oh oh I can't see.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Yeah, yeah I love you, Yeah, I can love you.
And so he got his cowboy hats down. Since we
were at the very back, they could stand up whenever
they wanted. I mean it was an open house party.
She'd go to the bathroom. He'd go to the bathroom,
suitcases again. He gets up there, gets their cowboy hats.

(26:49):
They put cowboy hats on. So I think their party
was starting. Midway through the flight. You thought this was bad.
They'd already kissed about five times. Here comes the makeup bag.
She's putting on makeup, does her deodorant. It's spray deodorant,

(27:09):
white dan druff, spray all over my shoulder. I didn't exist.
A flight attend would come by waters guys, Oh yes,
I'll take your water. And I'm in the background, like
raise my hand, and then she hands him an action.
He goes, I already got one, and she goes for
the guy over there. Oh, here you go. I didn't
exist on this plane anytime I wanted the pretzels come by. Yeah,

(27:34):
I'm in the cour and the lady, the flight attendant,
must have thought he was the most gorgeous guy. She
only looked at him. She never she never made eye
contact with me. I was like, hello, I'm the guy
on the window. Yes, I also get stuff. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Well, I mean that guy was tall, so maybe she
couldn't see you since you were so far down there.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
He was massive. She's doing her makeup, spray, doing perfume,
doing her lips. Then once the lips were done, ah yeah, hey, hey,
come over here, I can love you. They kissed no
less than a dozen times, and she's showing skin. And

(28:15):
and what I didn't say is when she was sleeping,
she kind of put her ass on me. Her ass
was on my leg, which I maybe in trains overseas
or just crowded and people just pile on, but her
ass was on my leg.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
You know why she's doing that?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Why?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Because why she's sleeping. If the gas is coming out,
it's coming towards you and not her. Dude, she's farting
on me. Yep, so it perfumes. She's all good to
go and everything. Well, then they take another bathroom trip.
Oh this time she goes, and two seconds after her,
he goes and stands back there and the flight attendant goes, oh, sir,

(28:52):
I'm so sorry. You can't just stand in the hallway.
Oh my girls, she's about to go to the bathroom.
Oh I'm not getting allowed to Oh, okay, I think
they're trying to go Mile High Club. Whoa because he
was waited there and got shut down. So he comes
back to the seat, and you were spot on with
the angled butt. She was in there for twenty minutes,

(29:16):
or she was just waiting, like why is he not coming?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
So it was either that and he got gun shy
because the flight attendant scared him, or she was taking
a fat one and maybe he was gonna go in
there and kiss her and then she was gonna relieve.
I may have been it, but they used this this
flight like they were just at a condo. Get your

(29:38):
clothing on, do your makeup, go the bathroom, get waters,
all this, and then we land.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Oh there's more.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
We made it. Honey puts his hat on. Hey oudat Cowboy.
I'm up getting Cowboy. And so that's when I took
the video of them, because they were like chilling there
and everything, and I was trying to put my finger
on it. Newlyweds honeymoon partying or do people overseas just

(30:10):
openly kiss and stuff like that all the time.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Maybe World Cup visitors And this is the last leg
of their trip. They've been all over America, and they
just are so appreciative of each other.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
So we had our final kiss, and we're sitting on
the tarmac for about twenty minutes untortually, So what is
there time for? Oh? Yeah, I'm wearing these shorts. They're
very fucking short. He's got hairy legs. Just I had.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
I was got't. We weren't trying to look. You just saw.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
And she is rubbing from the kneecap as high up
as she could go, and you can his hair is
so thick on his legs, you can hear that. And
she's just massaging the whole inner thigh for the twenty

(31:07):
minutes that we're stuck on the tarmac. If that dude
was in full mass by.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
The time we got off that plane, dude, it's an
absolute miracle. I mean, they did it all.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
They had themselves an adventurous flight. I mean, for twenty
minutes on the tarmac like that motion. At some point,
unless you're doing some other sort of motion, it eventually
becomes uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
But it's just this, here we go.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
I've seen it all. Why not see this too? Oh,
welcome home?

Speaker 1 (31:52):
I mean that guys not, I don't. I don't know
if kids are listening. I thought for a second they
were about to do something else. Man, it had to
lead to it, you would think it's something.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
I mean, they're going straight to the hotel to do that, right,
they gotta be the second they get in that room.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
The name of the people upstairs, downstairs, sidewalls. Watch out
because there's gonna be some slapping. Oh man, what times
you land ohdye partner, We landed it in noon. Oh
so they probably had a one pm check in.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
One pm check in, boom, get it done, then hit
Broadway and you were home in time for the World Cup.
We'll talk about it right after this. I'm really sorry
that happened to you. Man, that's very awkward.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
But no spoilers. I didn't watch the World Cup, so
I don't want to know.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Wow, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Did I wanted you'd be able to talk about it?

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Oh good man, because let me talk you about my Sunday, dude.
Like my Sunday. So my wife's like, hey, you know,
we're meeting some families at the at the park at
nine thirty, and we're gonna go over there and we're
gonna hang out because there's this one family that just
moved to the from another country and they're coming to
our school. So we're gonna, you know, go meet up

(33:07):
with them. And we used to know them when we
leave before they moved to the foreign country, and so
they moved back and you know, oh they're coming back,
so we're gonna go hang out with them. Blah blah blah.
So we invite two other families and my wife you
ready to go, Yeah, here we go, Here we go.
And that's in the morning. Is when I watched your
papa shot, I said, hold on, Ray raised, Ray, moved on,

(33:28):
Ray moved on, raised in the sweet sixteen. Get the
car packed. I'll be right outside timeline. Yeah. And then
Ray gets to the Elite eight and I'm like, oh,
I raised in e lead eight. Start the car. I'll
be there in a minute. I'll be there in a minute.
And then the buzz saw happened. I was like, all right,
I can come now, I can come now. Yeah, good
job oddward ending. But yeah, it was there was no

(33:51):
way you were meeting that guy. But hey, well I'll
be right out there.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yeah. I was fully puckered. Guys.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Uh that was that was tough, and uh so I
went out, got in the car and we could drive
to the park and get out, and there's one mom
my wife, a couple that were the two women are
married to each other, and then another mom and I'm like,

(34:18):
how are there no dads? Like where like of the
other two families that have dads, neither dad came. I'm like,
what in the world. And I understand British Open is
on and that's kind of but I was expecting to
get home, you know, for the last hour they'll watch
the leaders when it's really intense. All right, that's okay.
I thought the other dads would show up.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
It's cool. Oh hey, Johnny, are your moms here?

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Yeah, And it's just awkward at the park because I
feel like the one couple, I don't know if they
really like each other.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Like it's like, well, it's kind of easy to tell.
Are they talking, are they smiling?

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Well, they wanted like one wanted to move back to America,
another one didn't, and so it was like, yeah, she
didn't want to move back. I wanted to move back.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
She's I mean, that's a semi problem.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
And then I'm like, oh, so you guys working. Well,
I don't know what she's doing. She may be retired. Okay,
So it sounds like everything's going great. Huh guys, well
it's something they're filthy rich. So I'm like, okay, this
is interesting, all.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Right, funny though they didn't have the two main things
figured out where they live and job.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Yeah, and I'm like all right, yeah, cool.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Though they felt different, completely different about those two things.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Yeah, two different things. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, okay, cool, cool, yeah,
all right, So what else is going on?

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Not a lot, not a lot, all right, cool? Cool?
And then the kids complaining about being hot. It's hot outside.
It's hot outside. So one of the families lives by
the park like, oh, you want to just go to
our house and have popsicles? Yeah, let's go. So we go,
and I'm like, all right, cool, hang out with the
dad there. You know he'll be home. No, he's not home.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
What's he doing.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
I don't know, ray out running the town idea.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
So I'm sitting there for about twenty minutes, have a
popsicle with the kids, and I'm just sitting there and
the women are all sitting around chatting, and I'm just
sitting in a chair and I look at my wife,
I said, I think I'm.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Gonna go smart.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
I think I'm gonna ahead and get out of here.
And she's like okay. I was like, yeah, just call
me when you need me come back and pick you up.
I'll just go ahead and go home. I don't need
to sit here with the ladies.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Can you just fake something came up?

Speaker 2 (36:25):
What's kind of hard?

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Three kids?

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Yeah, but they're all playing with the other kids. And
I was like, can I get out of this awkward
situation where one couple I don't know if they like
each other. This is so weird. I don't know what
to say to them. And You're like, I don't know.
They might be retired. I don't know what they're doing.
They didn't want to It's like okay, all right, cool,
And so I go home and I watch the end

(36:49):
of the British Open. I'm like, yeah, great, great ending,
and that dude, the yokes the fox. That's how golf
should be played, Guys. He doesn't take any time when
he'd lined get up to the ball and hit the
damn ball. He had a chance to win the British Open,
and it took him twenty two seconds from the time
it was his turn to the ball going in the
hole the open, and to win the hole the open,

(37:12):
it Bookshia and he just sit got up there right boom,
All right, well I win none of this going to
every side and taking forty five minutes. It's out of control.
It's out of freaking control. And so then we're gonna
go over to some friend's house for the World Cup final,
Spain versus Argentina. And on Friday, I told you, I said,
Spain is going to dominate this game. Argentina will not

(37:35):
be able to have the ball. MESSI won't touch the
ball because they're just gonna.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boop.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
So game starts at tune. I'm all right, guys, we
gotta go. It's one thirty. Don't want to be late.
One forty gotta go, we gotta go. One forty four.
We gotta go, guys, we gotta go. Get in the car,
Get in the car. We get there at one fifty seven.
Go inside. Watch the game and it's great. It is great,

(38:03):
freaking action packed, intense game, freaking phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Man. It was zero nil nil.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
It was exciting, but that was exciting.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
I didn't watch it.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
What you do.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
I had all intentions to watch it, took a nap,
worked with the father in law, and then I tuned
in and it was like the ninety second then at
zero zero, and I was like, I didn't miss anything.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
Oh man, did you watch the end?

Speaker 1 (38:32):
I just turned it on and it said Argentina played
with like four players.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
No, Argentina was down to ten because the guy got
a second yellow get him out of the game. Argentina
was so brutally like they just got dominated. They looked
like a bunch of losers. They were nasty, just fouling.
Then they start fighting after Spain dominated that game. Argentina's
goalie played amazing. Argentina didn't have a shot on goal.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
I heard that too, So what MESSI do? The whole time?

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Nothing? He couldn't get the ball. They passed circles. Dude, dude, dude, dude, dude.
They were passing, so they had like eight hundred and
ninety passes to Argentina's four hundred. They had that much
of the ball where Argentina was just running around trying
to catch him.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Who won it last year?

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Four years ago? Argentina won it, but it was awesome.
But I just I wanted to bring it up because
it was the funniest thing. So the fights afterwards, I
don't know if you saw that, Argentina players start punching
Spain media. Unbelievable, absolute trash. Argentina. They are the most
unlikable team ever.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Alexi Lawless would never well, I'm not saying him, but
it just was ugly.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Then the funniest thing of the whole tournament they do
the medals in Spain's waiting on the stage and they
bring the world Donald Trump and the FIFA president bring
the World Cup over and they're waiting for Trump to
get out of the way so they can hoist the.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Trophy because that's customary.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yeah, is the host nation, the president usually hands them
the trophy or the woman whatever, I don't know if
it's president or what do you call him, the Queen,
the empire, I don't know what they are. But Trump
hands them the trophy and then he's just standing there.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Did he think a photo was gonna go down? I think?

Speaker 2 (40:21):
And he's kind of dancing with them, and the one
guy that the captain is like pushing him in the back,
like okay, now you can go, so we can do
our whole raise the trophy up. So what's he do?
He goes to the end of the line and just
starts posing with the space.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Is there not a handler that's like, hey.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
The FIFA president is pulling him by the arm and
he's like pulling his arm up like no, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Guys, as a handler, how hard is that to be? Like, hey,
you just go hand them the trophy and then you're good.
They'll probably gonna dance and stuff.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
It was so freaking funny. I mean, I lapped so
hard over and over watch this.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
But he just stands the FIFA guys off screen grabbing
his arm.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
He just stands there and it's just like, I'm supposed
to be up here. I saw some one the life goes.
It's like your demented uncle forgets where he is. He
just doesn't leave. He just stands there. I mean he
hands on the trophy. He hands on the trophy and
the guy's like, all right, you can get out of here.
Now he's pushing him in the back, like all right, man,

(41:34):
this is where we raised the trophy.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Maybe he didn't see it four years ago with Argentina.
I need to see what the president of uh, what
was it last year and four years ago a Qatar.
What did the president of qataro.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Phrasing the trophy? I mean, the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
I only saw one hundred times. Dude, social media never
were disappointed.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I'd like you hadn't seen it. It was so fun
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
I saw the one guy that didn't shake his hand
and then shook his hand at the last second. I
saw it all without even watching the game.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
No, I didn't even see that. I wouldn't tell you.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
I don't Massy bathing the one player that's nineteen. I
saw it all, man, I've seen everything.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
All right, Well, that was it. The World Cup was amazing,
absolutely fantastic. Little Presca is now today in the middle
of afternoon. You don't have anything to watch.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Who is the favorite?

Speaker 2 (42:26):
France? Really?

Speaker 1 (42:29):
Yeah? Okay, and they got didn't even make the finals.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Now they lost to Spain in the semifinals. The top
four teams were France, Spain, Argentina and England. Those are
the top four seeds. They were all in the final
the semi finals. Oh yeah, chalk, first time ever? Oh
really yeah, first time ever that's happened. So all right,
guys have a great Monday. Maybe more Papa shot talk
on Wednesday. I apologize to Ray. I'm sorry. That's why

(42:54):
I didn't watch it live. But I did watch you
great run. We are proud of you. We'll see in
one hundred day. Sore Losers dot Com. We out Reel
and Javvy Free and Chevrolet World Cup. Dude, Spain was awesome.
That was beautiful to watch.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
I did get to watch the Open on the flight.
They that live TV is free. All that's cool.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
It streamed pretty well almost the entire time I could
charge my phone.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
Did you see the like when they finished?

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Duh? I would say, probably the middle holes.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Oh so you didn't see him when he putted on eighteen.

Speaker 2 (43:37):

Speaker 1 (43:41):

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Oh I was hoping she'd greet you with it.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
No, she had the kids all weekend. She was exhausted.
I was exhausted, and I go, this is what it's
like being a wag.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
Yeah, yeah, you're not around to help route Ray.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
You're an athlete.

Speaker 2 (43:57):

Speaker 1 (44:00):
