Speaker 1 (00:03):
Oh wow, straight to the music, not even a welcome in.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hello. We are one hundred and twelve days away from
the sixth annual twenty twenty seven Home of the Super
Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee. Sore Losers Convention presented by Freeline Chevroley.
You are looking live. Let's get a starting coach.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh yeah, we should, man, it's Monday. I'm sure we
have stories upon stories upon stories.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
We're gonna do it live. We are the one, two
three sore Losers.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
What up, everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most
about sports, so I'll give you the sports facts, my
sports opinions, because I'm pretty much a sports.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Genius, y'all. It saysn't from the North Alpha Male live
on the North side of Nashville. Bazer two point five
kids at VANDYK Clinic defrosting. Justin needs to check on them.
They're supposed to be frozen eggs. I believe they still are.
Other than that, two point three acres did get mode
while I was out of town. Looks awesome to come
(01:13):
back to pay a man ten dollars to mow your yard.
It looks phenomenal. It's one of the fine luxuries of life.
Don't know why my dad back in the day never
paid somebody to morow yard. There's companies that come around
with zero turn mowers and trimmers and do it in
about ten minutes. And I'm not going to judge, and
they charge you like sixty dollars. Why would you not
(01:36):
do that? How much time does that save you? I would,
at first of all, have to buy the mower. Oh,
that's money. And I don't have storage for it. You
have a garage, no room for it. It would never fit
in there. Oh, because you got golf cart. Golf cart
and car. Whose car goes in the garage? Beys knew it.
(01:56):
And then no doubt, the oil, the gas, the time
you smell like grass. I like mowing. I just don't
have the time. It's really one of those things. And
then it's the Oh it's Saturday, I want to go
do brunch. Well I have to mow. We don't run
into that every single week. Yeah, and they guys they
have to hump it pert near every week. The amount
(02:18):
of rain we've been getting.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Dude, we've been getting non stop rain.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
It rained all weekend, right, it was supposed to.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Rain all week I mean it rained off and on,
but there was pockets where you could get out and
do stuff. Like Saturday morning, there was a pocket. Sunday
it looked like it was gonna monsoon all day Sunday.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
It didn't barely rain at our house. It rained at
ours really yeah. I mean we even got some pull
time in on Sunday late the sun came out, but
it did sprinkle. It was definitely storm swirling all day.
And when I say pulled time, I mean we got
there at like four o'clock. And then when I came
back late Saturday night, it was monsooning. Really yeah. It's
(03:00):
almost to where your wipers can't keep up with it.
And I'm like, uh, is it legal to go on
Interstate forty miles an hour? Cause I am wow, did
you put your flashers on? Some people? Did I do
that a lot? Yeah, It's kind of an unk move,
but I like it because it's warrant. But I feel
like your lights are bright enough in the back.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I mean once it starts sprinkling, flashers on, okay, yeah,
I mean one drop of rain flashers on.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Went to Taco Bell fourth meal, rolled back in because
I knew there was no food at the house predicted
that correctly. Orders usually don't happen until Sunday and the rain.
I mean my bag was drenched. I just on the
handoff or to go in the handoff from the guy
and then and then it had to have been some
other time. I had to roll down my window and
(03:43):
open the door and it was Yeah. I was like,
what is it. I've never had a soggy case adia before,
but I was that hungry.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Dang man, did you sleep on the plane ride back?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
No crying, baby? Oh? Maybe got a wink if that counts.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I doesn't really count. That's really not solid.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
On the way there, I thought, Scuba, I thought that
my wife does all my stuff for me. So I
don't know how to like check in, do a seat.
I don't know how to do any of that. Wow.
So baby, So I thought I was sitting right next
to Scuba and I was just standing next to him,
and he's like, what are you doing? And I thought,
I don't know. I thought I sit next to you,
and he goes, no, check your ticket, dummy, you got
(04:19):
to see when you're where your number is. And so
but then I ended up being right across from him. Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah, you would think you were gonna sit next to
him because it used to be open seating, so you
just pick your seat. You're gonna be next to Scuba.
You guys are gonna be browing out Instead, you're across
the aisle. Scuba's on the window.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
You're on the Uh. I was on the I was
rowboth times. You were rowbot times. What is roe mean
the aisle? Thank you? I was like, I don't know
what the hell row means. Hey, guys, I sat row.
I think everybody did.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, so everybody has row ABC or one two three, Yes,
I got.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
It all that to say Scuba and he has noise canceling,
so there's no way he heard the crying baby. He
might have been able to sleep. Okay, we're a little
bit separated. He hit window. Uh on the way back,
don't know. On the way there was he window and
there was he was middle. Oh oh no.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Oh no, we were both asle terrible. Oh see it
right here playing hands. He's across the aisle.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, but you guys, some stuff we want to give
exclusive to the Bobby Bone Show. So I don't know
if there's an angle there he's gonna go with? Gotcha?
I got a because there was a lace.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Okay, you guys, do you guys, do you like isle
or do you prefer window?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Well, Baser always does window. On the way home. It
was money. I went the bathroom three times. I was
chugging gatorade and all that stuff. So it's perfect, yeah,
trying to recover. And I mean they had seat belts,
sign on. I'm just bolting to the bathroom. The lady's like,
you're fine, just go. I mean, so that was pretty money.
But Baser always steals the window. And if we're flying
into not never Costa Rica. If we're flying into Dominican Republic.
(06:04):
I'm trying to think of some of the other spots Jamaica.
Those are cool ones you want to see, Oh you
want to look out the window. The States, I mean,
I've seen the flyover states.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I mean flying into Vegas, though, I don't know if
it ever gets old. If it's nighttime when you're flying
in and you see the neon lights, it's a cool
feeling to see Vegas lit up at night, flying in
on an airplane, I don't care how many times you
do it. And to see the Grand Canyon pretty freaking cool.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
There's so many that look like the Grand Canyon, though,
I'll be honest, every time I see one, I'm like, oh,
there's the Grand Canyon. You can follow it though on
the app it'll show you exactly where you are.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Oh yeah, I always forget about that.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah. On the TV screen you can maybe pull it off.
It's actually I mean you can do it for free.
And it looks like it's pretty up to the minute.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, So you want to start with the story. Do
you need me to start with the story? What do
you want to do?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Well? So these are things that I know will never
talk about on the Big show. Wembiama, this is just random.
Stop maybe stop. Maybe we just touched stuff. Maybe we don't.
You saw wimby Wembiama, Knicks fan and Celtics fan, or
(07:16):
Knicks and Celtics. You know, these are things we can
touch on if any of it tax your interest, Stop,
you said, women, because I need to also just jog
it real quick. And we got Sapphire Club, we got
Mandalay Bay Pool Party, okay, pool party. We got Scuba's
(07:44):
obsession with.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Numbers, scubas numbers okay.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
And there had to have been some other dirty stuff
that went on that we'll never get talked about on
I mean, I didn't get hit up by a prostitute.
That's not worth teasing. But I mean Scuba said there
was a couple because he had some late nights.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, I was gonna say, it depends on how late
you stay up. If you're not up late, then you're
not gonna notice the prosty's and you're not gonna get hit.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Up by them. So they're not wandering around at brunch
and no, then I never saw one. They are not.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
They're they're not prevalent at that time of the day
because it's so busy and people are just waking up
for the day.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
They're not going to bed.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
When they're gonna take advantage of you is when it's
two three am and you're hammered and your your your
your senses aren't all there, and they think, okay, this
is when I can pounce they you are drunk, you
are stumbling or wandering around the casino by yourself. There's
not a lot of people, so there's not a lot
of witnesses and they think, okay, they are gonna think, oh,
(08:55):
I'm just you know, I'm just good looking, and this
this girl wants me They're not going to realize I'm
a prostitute till we get up to the room. That's
when they pounce when you're inebriated.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Alabama coach uh Nate Oates, that's the list.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Alabama coach of what sport?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Uh? Okay, Alabama coach, you tell me, Okay, there's gotta
be more. But yeah, So that's a lot of the
dirty stuff that we can definitely cover on this podcast.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Wow, I'm interested. I don't even know where to start.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Ray is there? But yeah, I wanted to have that
because Scuba had said that he was late night and
he goes Man. They were out in full force last night.
They went to Park MGM because we stayed at Luxer.
They who's they? Scuba had some buddy meet up with
him at twelve thirty one night and they hung out
all night.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Wait wait, wait, so Scuba had friends that came to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
With you guys. They didn't come with us. They make
you there. Yeah, but it was planned. It was so
random that I told the Scuba my name's Ben and
I and in it my name is Paul. That's up
to y'all. I'm not meeting your random buddy from La
at one am, I'm sorry and went to bed. Wow.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, so Scuba lived the night life.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
I don't think it by choice, it was it almost
seemed like divorcee needed a shoulder to cry on. Hey
he's rolling in at one I totally get if you
don't want to be a part of it. And I said,
my name is Wall. That's up to y'all.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Well, I mean my highlight. I mean, I'm gonna tell
you the dirty I did. We did some pool time
on Sunday and my kids officially know they have grown
up enough. Not only do they jump off the diving
board and swim that's pretty cool, but they are hey, hey,
can we go to the shallow end? I want to
play Marco Polo. That game's great, dude. They are officially
(10:56):
of age where they are playing Marco Polo.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
And it was pretty crazy. Is it finding the rings
or they're finding you?
Speaker 1 (11:03):
No, they're finding they have their eyes closed, and they
go Marco and the people that have their eyes open, Yo.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Polo, Marco Jacobs, and then they try to get you.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
I will say, I mean, it's pretty obvious that they
are still the age where they're they open their eyes,
because there's times I go underwater and swim way away
and they go right to me. I might come on like, bro,
like let's let's play by the rules. But I didn't
get mad. I let it slide. I didn't, you know,
yell at anybody.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I just said all right.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
I was like, there's no way to no. I heard
you splash. I'm like, so if all the people in
the pool you knew is me splashing. And also we're
now years into this game being played, there has to
be Marco Polo glasses you put on where they can't
then cheat.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
There could probably maybe some blackout goggles on Google. But
add it to the kids for a birthday present.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Which, speaking of baby Box one wilt I'm eight years
old this coming fridaysh his eighth birthday.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
And another tease, I got a present for either you
or the kid, Okay, depending it's kind of like one
of those mystery things. Oh so I don't know it
necessarily who it's for, because you don't know what it's
gonna be. You want the backstory? Yeah, please, Scuba says
you should get a present for Lunchbox and then you
(12:25):
can do it on the pod. In the moment, it
sounded cool, but then I got home to the States
and I was like, why did I get lunchbox a present?
And why did I let Scuba convince me of this
for neutrals deep.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
I was gonna say, probably cause you guys were inebriate
and he thought it'd be a good idea.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
But the more I think about it, if your kid
does come on the pod, maybe it's something more for him.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I will say that Scuba told me, Hey, you gotta
watch the Summer League.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
We're gonna be on TV. We'll be on TV.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
We're right there where the players run out, all right,
So my dumb ass is sitting there on a Friday
watching NBA Summer League games trying to pick you guys
out of the crowd.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
There's no way you saw us. Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
They don't really put much effort into that NBA Summer League.
They put one camera in the corner and they show
diagonal down the court, and that is it. They don't
show the crowd at all. Free throw you got a chance. No,
they don't show the crowd at all. You know why,
because they don't want to show that that thing is
ninety percent empty.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Some of the games though it was packed. That's crazy. Yeah,
oh there. I mean there's legends walking around. Did you
not see the NBA video? They were there post I mean,
Caitlin Clark's there, John Moran, everybody, like the entire pitch.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
I saw Tyler Hero dam out of Bio. Did did
you see the fight? Were you there?
Speaker 2 (13:47):
It was the McGregor No, out of Bio. I thought
McGregor fought hero and out of Bayo then fought the
winner of that. There, what a joke, What a joke
that lose. Here's what's great. Are you guys here for
the fight? No, we're leaving, actually right when it kicks off.
We left the minute the fight started.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
No, Actually, we're here for Papa shot Man, Like what no,
the bige. You guys are here for Summer League and
then you're going to the fight. No, No, we're gonna
go shoot baskets on the concourse. Then we're gonna bounce
due where you flew to Vegas to shoot on a
like mini basketball. Go yeah, man, yeah, that's really what?
Right up our alley?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Hey, rite down sports cards? Sports cards?
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Okay, I got it, Oh my gosh, but yes, I
watched so much Summer League Friday night, trying to see
you guys, and then Scoop.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Was like, all right, I'm gonna yell during the free throw.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
I'm gonna yell during the free throw when the thunder
or shooting free throws, listen for me, and he goes,
here we go, Here we go, And then like ten
seconds later, there'd be a foul on the TV. So
I knew a foul was coming, and I'd be like,
all right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
And I hear nothing. I must have timed it wrong,
and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Dude, that was He goes, I only did it sixty percent.
I'll go harder this time. I only did it sixty percent.
I'll yell harder. I'm gonna yell, hey, this is the NBA.
We want two free throws, not one. That's bull crap.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Did he tell you about his gripe? No, that's what
he was griping Hill, that was his gripe. I don't
really understand. So I guess that they're just attempting at
NBA summer camp. Is one free throw gonna be worth
two points? So that when the NBA season comes around,
will they shoot two free throws?
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Because I think they're trying to speed up the game.
A lot of less standing around in like dead times.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Scuba was furious at this rule.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I mean, I got a question, why is it so bad?
Because that's Scuba before you.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
He's like a stuck in the nineties where he's wearing
a Grant Hill throwback Pistons jersey and they weren't even playing,
and he's an old timer. Say that's not hard basketball,
it's making them soft.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
No, no, no, because here's the in reality. They get
one shot in the NBA to make two points. You'd
shoot a jump shot. You got one shot to make it.
It's worth two points, So why not go to the
free throw line? One shot to make two points.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I haven't really even thought about it, but what a
beautiful movement. Yeah, you're right, it's kind of annoying watching
two free throws. Yeah cool, let's just watch one. Back
to the game. I was wondering because the night before
I was the same loser when we weren't even in Vegas.
I was watching on my TV to see if we
would be on TV because we're in the michelob Ultra section.
So I'm sitting there watching it and I never put
(16:30):
two and two together. I was like, oh, dang, only
one free throw? It must have been an an one.
A couple of minutes later, freaking, hey, one free throw again,
it must be an A and one again. I was
wondering why there wasn't two free throws so I could
see our section. Here's the deal.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Also, the more you think about it, hey, it's a
lot more pressure knowing you only have one chance to
make it. When you have two, it's like, oh, I
just got to make one to two of these.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
That's all right.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
If you got to make one game on the line.
I people are gonna hate it.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
I don't hate it. Yeah, Scuba was opinionated on that.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Yeah, he said he's gonna yell it. So I was like,
all right, So I watched another ten minutes and he goes,
all right, here we go again. Nothing, dude, they don't.
You don't hear the crowd at all, because I think
it's so quiet that they ow't.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
In those announcers. They don't shut up.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
They just talk and talk and talk and talk like
we do Brookies, Like I don't slow down on this pot.
I realized when I listen back, I'm like, take a breath.
But they just talked and talked, and I never heard
Scooba and I was like, dude, I'm giving up. I'm
going to bed. It's eleven thirty Central time. I need
to go to bed.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Dude. It's the Knicks and there Wizards right now. Dude, dude,
they got blown out.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
The Knicks got blown out, and I'm watching.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
It trying to see you guys on TV? What is
wrong with me? I might as well burn one of
those stories the Knicks. I saw one of the players.
It was probably a guy in the NBA d l
oh who don't know. But he rolled by and I go,
he had the full jersey on and shorts just walk
in the concourse and they go Nicks and I go, man,
congrats on the championship. And he's like, thank you, dude.
(18:06):
So it wasn't bruntsing. I mean, it wasn't cat, it
wasn't heart, it wasn't out of Bayo all right.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Probably wouldn't Mitchell Robinson because he's on the Celtics now.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Wasn't their coach? I mean, it was a guy that's
like cleaning toilets bro but he had all the next
gear on. You sure he wasn't just a fan. No,
he had full jersey on, but he could walk the concourse,
nobody's gonna grab him. I got you.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
We'll take a break, we'll right back. Let's get into it.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Man, where are we gonna start? Give me something on there?
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Let's start with I mean my favorite player, not really,
but he's my second favorite player.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Women Yama. They had a thing there where you could
it was actually Wimba Yama, a cutout of him how
tally is in his arms? And I'll put it on
our Instagram. I actually will. Guys, I got the picture
and so I held my arms out up against him
or whatever. Yeah, I mean he would have swe he
would block my shot with his butt. That big, yes,
(19:05):
that big yes, Yes, it's pretty it's pret pretty much fun.
He's a big dude. That's wild, big dude.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
And I really was like, what Womben Yama was walking
around at Summer League.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
That's crazy. And you also don't get the entire effect
of it. There was a rocket walking through with her family,
and she looked like she loved taking pictures, and I
was like, Rocket, would you mind taking a picture of
me up to this? And so when she took it,
she cut off his arms. So it's like it missed
the whole point of how wide. He is his.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Wingspan, so you only have like to his forearms.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah, it's just like his armpits his butt all over
my head and like my arms up to his wrists.
Oh my gosh. Uh with my arms up to his elbows.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Now you got me excited. I thought we were seeing
women Yama. I thought it's a that was a tease. You,
I mean hook line and sinker. I thought you were
yelling at wim Bin Yama.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Would be would be for three?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
No, you saw a cardboard cutout of Wimbenyama. So next
I want.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
To go to Gosh, hurry because there gonna be Celts.
So there was a Celtics fan there with a belt
in Celtics T shirts, coats and all that. He brought
all the Celtics championship memorabilia he had and wore it
all to the NBA Summer Camp League game in one
(20:26):
hundred and ten degree weather in Vegas. Why, that's what
I wanted to put that out there. If you think
you're a psycho fan, that's what he did. Yeah, and
he wore around a belt the entire time. He was
that proud of his Celtics bro. They didn't even even
make the finals. Yeah, that's weird, and they should have.
(20:47):
They should have. They were almost favorites to win it
at one point, I mean thunder were, but they were
easily top five. Yeah, and they just lost Jalen.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah, that's weird. Did you see Jalen Brown there?
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Did you see any like did any players come in
the Michelo Ultra Lounge?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Oh? There was definitely. Yeah, there was a whole row
we couldn't even go to, so it was yeah, but
it was a lot of like B level, yes, yes,
so you're not gonna recognize them.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
So if you're a diehard NBA fan or a team fan,
you know who they are. But you could tell they
played in the NBA, but you couldn't tell who they were.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
And everybody in that was either kids. There was Drew
Summer League, there was the Pavilion play It was all
the NBA guys, but then there was also high school
competitions AAU, oh really, parents, fans, bro. Every person there
was six feet tall. I was the only dude five
to five. If I walked on the concourse, I was
(21:42):
staring at people's butts the entire time, right at my face.
There was I've never seen a six sixth woman before
there was ten of them. It is wild. It's just
like I was almost like at an exotic island. I'm like,
where am I? Why are all these people so tall?
I was the shortest person at the NBA Summer League.
(22:03):
I mean there was there was seventh grade kids just
boom to the ceiling. Their mom's six four. Everybody was tall.
So that is so wild to just say. But yes,
in our section, if it was a dude that looked
cool and he was taller, yes he probably was on
a team. But Scooba would talk to some of them
and he's like, they didn't. They wouldn't say who they played.
They said they played in the league, but they wouldn't
(22:23):
say who they were. So but they they had their
own little area. We were in a pretty exclusive section.
One more exclusive. We weren't even allowed to go up
to their row. But it was like Latrell Spreewell's more famous.
But it was like it was definitely bench guy a
Deevincenzo maybe, okay, or your boy that won six Man
of the Year, Kelton John Keldon Johnson may but from
(22:46):
twenty years ago, gosh, sure these people aren't getting recognized,
but you could tell they played in the league because
they're also kind of limped. You see Carlos Boozer, Boozer's kid,
he was for sure in the crowd.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Boozer they interviewed him, but I didn't know where in
relation to you guys, uh, because they were like, hey, Carlos,
what's his life? To see your son out there, He's like, man,
this is just what he's wanted his whole life. So
I'm just really excited it's it's here. You know, he's
gonna put in the work. I'm just excited to see
him grow every day and you know, accomplish the goals
and dreams that he's had since he was born.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Well, he didn't have that dream when he was born.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
He didn't even know about the NBA till he's like four,
like saying it all right, but I understand what you're saying.
But he's like, it's just really cool, and I'm just
you know, excited to go along for the ride.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Crowd loved when Boozer was dunk. He threw some down.
Really they went nuts for him. The night before we
actually missed Deeben Stanza and and Peterson. Yep, they were
the night before or they were bawling out. I know
we saw the TV and then but then the next
day Boozer, they went nuts for him. And then also
Caleb Williams, dude kid from North Carolina. He was he
(23:52):
was going he went well, yeah, he played real well
like remember that name. Yeah, that dude is sick. I said.
There had to have been another one. We didn't see
a cuff he was the night before some other time.
And then there was uh deeven Stein's was the night before.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
But yeah, oh you got to see uh the Wimby stopper,
Adam Moura Mora, the tall guy from Oklahoma City.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yep, he was terrible, Yes, he was terrible. Yes. And
then we also saw it. We saw a guy from Michigan. Oh,
I want to see Yaxel van den Rod. Never saw him.
We wanted to see the guy from uh oh no, no, no,
there was a there was a bench player from Michigan State.
Don't know his name, but definitely saw him too.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Okay, now do you want to tell me about Sapphire.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Yeah, so Sapphire. We had to talk to some people.
We have an iHeart station there.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Yeah, no crap, we have an iHeart station in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Yeah, and off Mike, I'll tell you they can maybe
help us out. Oh, off Mike, Off Mike, Okay, he
help us out with what deals? Deals? Yeah? Oh, if
you're ever gonna stay there? Got it? Okay, thank you?
And then uh I I have to talk in mystery
because maybe we talk about it on the Big Show
(25:05):
about Sapphire. No, no, no, we're not talking about Satire.
Go Sapphire. They told us, they go, hey, do you
guys want to go to Sapphire? You guys should go
to Saptfire. I'm like, awesome, what is it? They're like, well,
it's a gentleman's club, but it's like a day gentlemen's
club where there's strippers at the pool. What they recommended
us to go to it? And we go, oh, we
(25:26):
got this summer league camp man we're going to so
we can't do that. And they go, well, Sapphire near us.
On your way there, you'll pass it. They strip at
the pool. It's the only one in Vegas they do that.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
That sounds awesome. Okay, Now I'm not gonna like everybody says, oh,
strip clubs are cd and gross and dark and dank
and nasty. The fact that you can sit poolside, you
can be in the pool, and they got stages over
the pool. That is something I have never seen before.
That is getting creative and that is awesome.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
But we were at a kind of a meeting with them,
not necessarily a meeting, but just a brunch, and so
I didn't expect them to recommend that. I thought they
were talking about a steakhouse. We should go to the
like Sapphire, have you guys been there? And like, no, no,
I love steak what's up in there? And they're like,
oh no, no, it's a day strip club And I'm
like what, Like that's a recommendation.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Usually they want to hide the strippers in like dark
lights and neon lights, so you don't really see them.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
The fact that they're bringing them out in the daylight,
they got to be pretty good. So note that one
noteon Sapphire day Club, got it convention ever returns back
to Vegas. That's got to be a Saturday.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
It's got to be a Saturday event. I mean, they
would love that. I could see being mcn to me
and you know, Brandy Martinez being up there or Rob
douce robaduche would love that she would go with nuts.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
I don't know. And we had ladies like there were
gals from the station radio station now with you guys
at our brunch, and so I thought it was just
like the guys, yeah, that's what we go to. And
I was like, oh have you all been saying until
females just totally being funny and they're like, oh yeah
a lot of times, I mean, why did we do
(27:12):
brunch at a Broken Egg? Why did we just go
to Sapphire?
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Yeah, it seems like you guys got to mess up.
Seems like they were on board with Sapphire, and what
they were saying is, hey, we'd really like to go
to Sapphire and we can use it as an excuse, saying,
hey that Scuba and Ray were in town, so we
had to take them to Sapphire. And you guys kept going, no,
I man, I gotta go do Papa shot. Yeah, now
that's all you know what hand up that's on us?
(27:40):
We should have take.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
We should have done it differently.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, like, oh, can you guys show us maybe they're
a potential client, you know, maybe they want to do
some advertising.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Rock and mimosas at brunch too. I order a pancake.
Everybody else. First thing they orders drinks. I'm like, oh,
I missed the memo, Mimosa.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
So what you're telling me is they do it a
little bit different in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Their radio station is on Fremont on Old Vegas. Do what. Yeah,
it's you look out their window and they see the
Neon sign that's curved at the top that walkway. Oh
my gosh. And that one restaurant, if you're over three
hundred and fifty five pounds, you get to eat for free.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
There's a restaurant where you're if you're over three hundred
and fifty five pounds, you can eat for free.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah. And so they say they see people weighing all
day long, like they'll be in a business meeting. They'll
be some big person go a way to see if
they could eat for free. And there's a digital scale
outside before you can go in the restaurant.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Oh my gosh. We'll take a break. We'll be right back,
all right. Let's see Scuba's numbers.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, So this is with him in gambling. He was
doing roulette right before we left. I don't know, he
may who knows what he ends up talking about. Definitely,
listening to the Big Show. On that one, he does
a gamble. Music is really loud.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
He doesn't gamble until the very last minute, like like
when we go for iHeart, he doesn't gamble till the
last night at like one in the morning.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
That is it.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
He doesn't gamble the rest of the time.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
So he does numbers like with Roulette, but he does
birthdays and obsession with birthdays. Yep, okay, so you get
that part. I understand that. Did you know his obsession
with his ex wife's birthday. No, So if his ex
wife's birthday rolls, he leaves that casino and so like we.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Wait, hold on, bro his ex wife's birthday hit, gotta
go to a different casino.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
He leaves the casino. So he was hitting his kid's birthdays.
All that was going back, that is so ridiculous. He's
got his wife's birthday day. His birthday is kid's birthdays?
Maybe did he? And so it hit a twenty six
and he goes, hey, why didn't you win on that?
And I go, oh, I moved my chip from the
twenty six over to at the last second threw it
(30:13):
into the thirties and he's like, I was like, how
did you know I was on twenty six? He goes,
I saw that it was my ex wife's ex birthday
or birthday. I didn't want to tell you. But if
ever it hits that, I leave, I gotta leave. And
so it hit that, and he goes, well, we got
I'm gonna I'm gonna cash out. Can I can I
check up? And we had to We just settled in.
We had to go. Did you laugh? I was like,
(30:34):
what I have that ever hits it's that bad of
luck that he goes that.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
The fact that he knows, I mean, I guess you're
gonna know that if you got married, you probably know
their birthday. But to change your whole casino because it
hits twenty six one time, that's insane.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
And when he's doing all his numbers. If you guys
know this at roulette, it's not the easiest to get
around the table to get all your number. If you
could see Scow, he's sitting at the far end, so
he's near the thirty range, and he's just like a
little scavenger, like placing all his chips and everything. It
looks like a crazy person because he only does his
certain birthdays and maybe favorite oh he does NBA player numbers.
(31:14):
He does do NBA player numbers, Sney Hardaway Shacks number,
Coal number. He knows. We all know Jordan, but he
knows players. He'd be like a no name Byron Scott
or something. He'll do those numbers and I'm like what
and he goes, yep, old favorite player of mine. And
so he does all his numbers, all his kids' birthdays. Dude,
for the fifteen seconds he's placing numbers like a crazy person.
(31:35):
I'm trying to have a casual conversation with somebody next
to us. Who's your friend? Oh, he's obsessed with numbers.
This is Scuba. Hey, Scuba twenty six. Oh see you later.
Nice talking to you.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
I'm not gonna hate on him too much.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
The twenty six is wild.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
The twenty six is wild. But the numbers I do
have my set numbers. I have number twelve. Red twelve
is my sister and chest day, both their jersey numbers
growing up. That's what I use that one all the time,
You know what I mean. Red eighteen or black seventeenth
(32:09):
is baby Box one's birthday July seventeenth, and then eighteen
is birthday. Nineteen birthday is baby Box two and nephew,
and then twenty one is niece birthday. So I understand
the birthday obsession.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
I do it.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
The only one I don't do, which is terrible, is
black four. That is Batter's Box's number growing up, and
it is also Baby Box three's birthday. But I stick
with five numbers because in four, if you look at
the wheel, it's not near those other numbers. Those other
numbers are bunched together on the wheel, and so if
(32:50):
you go four, you're going to a different like stratosphere
on the wheel. So I never bet four. So Batter's
Box and baby Box three do not get their number played.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
And this one had the Paul Tree No Three greens
see dude, you gotta walk away. But we only had
so many options because it was we were trying to
hit it and quit it before we left Vegas, and
we were using chips from the Big Show. Oh, so
there wasn't a lot of wiggle room. So it was
(33:20):
one of those. But that table was wild. I mean,
I wish we could have stayed at Ari all day.
So fun well, no, we sit down and a guy
might have been having a bad run of luck or something.
But good chip rolls around or whatever. Ball lands on eight.
He's like, all right, i'll see you guys later. We'll
all right. Any did Boston Red Sox fan fuck friendly?
(33:41):
He was nice, social talkingess, oh, you sit here, please
come in hits eight. All right, I'll see you guys later.
Thank you. And the lady goes, sir, you just one
one hundred and fifty dollars, and he goes, oh, I
didn't even realize that I placed it on there. Oh, okay,
I'll sit back down, and we were there were We're like, dude,
that was almost the first time we'd witnessed a Grand
Slam at Fenway Park. The dude just hits one hundred
(34:05):
and fifty, it walks off. I was like, you don't
realize how great the stories those could have been. If
that's what your thing is, you just do a walk off.
He's like, a one hundred and fifty Keep it, man,
just keep it. Go ahead. He was so tired of
the gambling gods. He goes, all right, I'll see you
guys later, I mean maybe before the ball eve been
finished rolling. And the lady the man behind there goes, sir,
(34:27):
you have one hundred and fifty dollars here we're all.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Dyeing, laughing, So did you know start winning? Maybe a
couple more, but that makes sense? All right, guys for
real this time. Thanks guys, it's been fun.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
It seemed as though he'd been gambling definitely for days,
and he's fed up with the gambling gods. Yeah, and
he'd had it. But as we're sitting there, these two
girls come up. Do I got time of this story?
I love it? So wait, wait two girls? You always
have time for a story about two girls? Well, and so,
just so you know their age, they got ided. Okay,
So so they're young and hot. I don't know. I
(35:00):
don't know, man, don't know.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
But so write at about twenty one, twenty two years old.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Smoke shows And I told Scuba, you just gotta love
being married. It's hilarious, Like literally never in my life
when girls just come up and start talking to me
and me and Scuba. I mean they're right there and
they're they're laughing, they're telling it, and they go, do
you care if we just watch you guys? Whoa? And
we're like, sure, you want just do what you could?
Just watch my buddy over here do his chips weirdly
(35:26):
on the table every time. He's trying to place it
on eighteen numbers, and I'm like, Scuba, have you done
the math? Do you win money if you cover eighteens?
You're only winning thirty six to one if you hit
one of those dudes? Have we done the math on this?
And so he's doing all his damn numbers and we're like, oh, so,
how are you all doing. They're like, oh, we're drinking
a one girl first time in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Oh man, that's always the best.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Both put out Texas IDs.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Oh we're in Texas.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
I didn't feel like doing the Austin San Marcos talk.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Dang well, I went to Texas State. Oh yeah, so right,
I lived at this door. Oh my god, I did too.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Bro, when you're buried, sometimes you just don't feel like
having those conversations. I'm not being a social butterfly. Oh
my gosh, you're from Texas. I'm just being cordial, dude.
It's weird.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
It's funny because you say she's in Vegas for the
first time, to see it like from her eyes, that's
when you want to talk to her and be like, so,
what have you experienced, what's it like?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
What do you think.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
I mean, it's the most overwhelming thing ever, is when
it's your first time seeing the bright lights and all
the balls and bells and whistles. I mean, it's like
you're on a cloud nine for a month.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
And yes, we were getting that from her because she goes,
these numbers are so cool. Oh, that's awesome. So it
just spins and somebody wins that they had no idea
about gambling. Correct, And they're in their bikinis with just
cover ups on.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yes, pool girls, man, I need to get back there.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
And we go, oh, so you know what's the obvious ask?
You know, it's easy conversation. Oh, are you going to
the Aria pool? We're at Aria, yeah, And they go no,
we're going to Mandalay Bay. Oh, and I go again,
I'm not trying to get into any conversation. Okay, I understand.
I'm there for maybe fifteen more minutes. I'm married, married,
(37:11):
I enjoy talking to a female, but I'm literally not
into engaging a conversation. I understand, you know, any types
of conversation like that. And I go, oh, what this
is a very simple question. I said, Oh, why would
you go to the mid Delay Bay pool? Over the
Aria pool. Just a very simple question. And she goes, oh,
(37:32):
because the mad Delay Bay pool is topless. I told Scuba,
only when you're married, would this conversation.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Just come up on a silver platter. And all of
a sudden, red sox ears are perking eye like.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
What whoa say? Mandalay babe? Let me pull my wallet
back out? And I said, oh, that sounds fun, and
they said, yeah, over there, you're allowed to take off
your tops and we enjoy doing that. Oh okay, sohoon
(38:22):
we got any questions over there? Hei, Scuba? Did you
get us a night at the Mandalay babe? Man? What
the hell we stayed at the Luxer for? Do you
guys care if we just watch you play? No worries?
I mean you're only in your bikini top. I mean
I had my ring on. How else can I hit shake?
These chicks? Dude? Wow? And I mean, I what other
(38:45):
questions can I ask? None? They're going to a topless pool.
I'm not trying to engage in conversation about a topless pool.
And I said, oh, well, how fun. But yeah, they've
been going the last couple of days. They said they
love it cause there's no rules take off your and
it's a lot more comfortable for women. Oh that sounds fun, dag.
(39:06):
So I mean me and Scoopa single. We'rer into a
topless pool at Mando.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Let pay sharing a cab man, Hey, can we come
with you?
Speaker 2 (39:15):
Guys won't pay for the cab.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Wow, dude, that's crazy because I had two chicks come
up to me at the pool.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Also, yes, we're talking.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
I'm at the pool right and I'm sitting there and
I'm taking a break because I've been playing Marco polo.
We've been jumping off the diving board. They swim to me,
swim to the ladder. We've been doing everything we've been
I mean, just I'm tired. So you guys swim for
a minute. I'm gonna get some water. And I'm sitting
there at the table and these two chicks walk up
to me and then they turn around and walk away.
(39:45):
Chicks are birds, And I'm like, huh, okay, that was weird.
So I'm sitting there for a few more minutes and
then they come walking up again and they go, would
you like to come to our business. I'm like, what's
your business? They said, we're selling stickers for a dollar
over there.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
They were six total opposite of you. Man, I was thinking,
opposite of you. I was thinking mom's soccer moms recognized you.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Yeah, nope, nope, nope. Two six year old's trying to
sell me stickers at the pool. It was a dollar
a sticker or free you decide.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
See, they got to buy something else they can sell
better than stickers.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Look, man, it was just trying to relate to you
that you had two chicks coming to you, and then
I had two chicks. Yeah, I understand, who's gonna buy
the sticker.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Let me tell you about a better business model, a palette.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I won't take a break, We'll right back. So we
got I mean, we only have two left.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
We have Alabama coach and sports cards. Which one you
want to go first?
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Alabama coach was the basketball coach. Nato saw him nice,
really high now tall guy, short guy? Short? Was he
in his suit? Now he was just wearing Darrell everybody was,
even the coaches, dude. They lived like they were in
T shirt and shorts pretty much Hawaiian shirts. But the coach,
yeah he was going to an interview, just but a
shorter guy. Not really. And for a second, I thought
(41:10):
it was a football coach, but that was Demoor Demorial
or whatever. So but he's a smaller guy. I guess
what'd you go? What up night? Uh?
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Should you go anything at anybody?
Speaker 2 (41:21):
Well? No, I definitely tried to because I was gonna.
I was doing certain because I made fun of you
at Hobbyers. On sore Losers, I went up to Hobvier's
and I actually like, I was you recommending hobbyers? Could
you always do that? That's so good? And then I
took a picture of a guy with one of those
saxophone drinks. Oh god, So I did this sore Losers,
but I sure I wanted to yell at him, but
at the phone, he was walking to an interview, so
(41:42):
I literally had a mirror five seconds. And I also
was carrying a bag in a basketball So trying to
take videos like this was pretty awesome. And Scuba was
nowhere to be found. He was watching Apparently he's infatuated
with ninth and tenth string NBA basketball players and how
they play. Man, you gotta see this one white guy
for the Bulls. He's got. He's definitely gonna play late
(42:03):
fourth quarter when they're down by thirty awesome, Thank you
so much, Scooba. Note debt for my fantasy league.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Man.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Yeah, so those sports cards we first night we did.
We get in late as the sun was setting and
we got in and we went real quick. We checked
in and we had to get some food. Got food.
After that, Scooba was like, let's go in a sports
card store. Oh my gosh, which that was nothing. The
Scooba was looking for some exclusive release and they're like, no,
we're not doing that. Scuba knew more than the actual
sports card guy. That tells you how much of a
(42:31):
nerd Scoob is. The guy's like, no, we didn't get
that release. School was like, oh, well, it's good getting
released on the West Coast and East Coast. I thought
maybe it would be here as well. I'm like, Scoopa,
good gosh, I didn't know you were you heading a cardiner. Yeah,
and but there's these kids, like dudes, five of them
on a Bachelt party, and so what do you do
on a batch party. You definitely go look at chicks. Yeah,
(42:53):
but you also are gambling gambling. Okay, well, these guys
were doing a different version of gambling.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Don't tell me. They were buying some worts cards.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
So they go, hey, which one of these boxes of
cards would would have like the biggest bang or bust?
And they's like huh eh, and they go, what what's
one where it's so risky? There could be a really
good one or could be just complete crap.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
This is what bachelor parties have come to. And so
the guy is right pulling to Vegas and you said, hey, no,
we don't need to stop at the liquor store. Can
we stop by the card shop so we can get
the biggest boom or bust box to punch you in
the face.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
We probably got to wrap here in a minute. But
they guy goes, yeah, so I'm talking win or go home.
And he goes, okay, well I recommend this two hundred
and fifty dollars box. It's got a chance where you
can get like these one or two thousand dollars card
And the guy goes, will you buy it back from
us if we pull it from the box? Trick card
(43:52):
guys like, I've never really had anybody ask me that.
Usually if somebody wants to buy a box, they don't
necessarily open it here and they are interested in the cards.
This guy was straight up just the Bocher party. Maybe
it was their last rah and they'd lost all their
money and they only had two hundred bucks left. So
their their go to was they were hoping to get
a box of a two thousand dollars card and then
(44:13):
they were gonna sell it back to the card trader
store owner. That was their plan.
Speaker 4 (44:18):
Oughe Hey, guys, have you ever heard of roulette? You
just walk right out there and spin a ball instead
of having to open up twenty packs of cards.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
Hey guys, there's this thing called blackjack. You put one
hundred and fifty dollars or whatever on one hand, and
you get two cards and hopefully it equals twenty one.
It's that simple, buying a stupid box of cards. You're
an idiot. Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
And the guy, the card shop owner, goes, I mean,
depending on the card, and if I have it, I
may buy it from you. Guys, you're in Vegas, go
gamble with something else besides the metallic jersey cut autographed
card that he may buy back from you.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
I mean, we're they all excited about this jump, like
oh or were some of them hanging back like, oh
my god, that's so dumb.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
They were looking hungover. They were all asking questions, but
it really did just look like maybe they had a
couple hours before a flight and they're like, hey, nothing
else worked, why not try the card shop? Oh? Man,
that's sad and Scuba both sitting there like what are
they trying? It's like literally walk out on the casino floor.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Oh that's bad. That's rough, guys. I mean that sounds
like a good weekend though.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Man, Yeah, I gotta go. Man, Hey, if you.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Have anything, you can just know I have nothing to
say except for you know, Connor McGregor. That was a
big waste of time. I didn't watch it, Thank god.
What a loser.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
I used to it.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
It used to be my favorite dude on the planet.
Now he's just a scumbag.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
