Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, we are the Sore Losers where the spin
off of the Bobby Bone Show. Let's get started. Now
that's a professional intro. Yeah, we're gonna do it live.
We Oh, the one two three sore Losers.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
What up, everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most
about sports. Suck. Give you the sports facts, my sports opinions,
because I'm pretty much a sports genius.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Y'all. It is Sison. I'm from the north, originally from Wyoming,
out west.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Near the border.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Not that border, it is the Colorado Wyoming border. Oh,
what's up. I'm from the country now with Beazer. We
got two acres two point three three three acres. I
owe you point one of those acres. If what happens,
I totally forget the bet that we made.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Dang, I forgot too.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Are we that old?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Please tell me we're not that old.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
It was like Wimby the Spurs USA Soccer. Something happening.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Maybe if the USA Soccer wins it all.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
I don't know, man, You guys gotta help us on
our Facebook page.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Oh my gosh, we're.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Forgetting things anyways, y'all. I got two kids at Vanderbilt.
They're defrosting Justin is up on a dinghy in gun Lake,
being a traveling RN in Michigan. He's never coming home
and last thing he saw was the bottom of the bottle.
Over to you, lunch man.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I got some housekeeping. We gotta do this right off
the bat before I forget. Hey boy, Sloppy Joe here listener.
Since day one, I'm turning the Big five. Oho on Thursday,
June twenty fifth, Ak Yesterday would love to get a
birthday shout out. Also have two questions. One's hoay, what
would you do if Boomer ended up playing in one

(01:48):
of the Banana ball teams? You guys trashed it pretty hard,
but I totally understand why that's interesting. He's better than
those players.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I think he's gonna have a solid college career, so
it would be in four years. We can all hope
Banana balls out of here in four years.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Okay, and Lunchbox, are you going to do a Sore
Losers Fantasy League this year? Haven't been able to get
back in the league in a couple of years, but
I hope I can this year. Keep up the good work, boys,
you're killing it. Sloppy Joe, first of all, happy fiftieth birthday,
sloppy Joe, congratulations on making it half a century on
this planet. Fifty great years down. I guess twenty five to.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Go the US average. I hear you on that one.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, and yes, we're gonna do a fantasy football league
and in the next couple of weeks we will get
that rolling because I have learned from my past mistakes.
What are you laughing at?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Just you say that you're going to pay out a
high point every week and I did for two weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
No, no, last year, I said at the end of
the season, and I did it right at the end
of this I mean I did it. I realized from
my mistakes that doing it every week, I wasn't good
at keeping up with it, and it probably would be
easier to do it every single week. You're right, and
that's why, like the Coaches Convention, we are so oh,
we're gonna put them on sale, We're gonna put them

(03:12):
on sale, and we never do. And we do it
in November, and it really hampers people on coming because
you don't have enough money. You can't make payments in
only two months. So we learned from our mistakes and
we said, you know, what tickets will go on sale
July first, and win our tickets going on sale July first,

(03:34):
brought to you by Freeland Chevrolet.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
We are one hundred and forty seven and a half
days away.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
So we learned our mistakes on that, and I've also
learned my mistakes on the fantasy football league. I usually
wait till August to set it up and then we
have a week to draw the names and get the
people in the league and draft and then the NFL
season is starting. Oh not happening. This year, we will
be doing it in the latter part of July. That way,

(04:04):
we have plenty of time. It's stress free. I don't
have to be freaking out. It's gonna be so much
better for my life, for your life, for Ray's life.
So there will be a fantasy football league this year,
and Sloppy Joe as a fiftieth birthday present to you,
I want to guarantee your spot in the drawing to
get in the league.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
What oh to get in the drawing? Yeah, she's gonna
have her name in the pot of all the things.
We give a free entry to a random email from
Sloppy Seconds What.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, No, But happy fiftieth birthday. So there you go.
And that would be interesting if Boomer made it to
banana ball. It does give him hope for after college.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Not much of a dancer and doesn't like banana thongs.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
But he could be on the tailgaters or the party
animals party in. But there's more than that. I think.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Look at all of them. They're all dancing something. They're
all doing that worm, They're all doing their what is
it the grinder or the the grady, they're all doing that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Boomer's not a dancer, but for money, he could learn
how to dance.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
I would say they're all talented in some other way
other than baseball. Boomers one hundred percent baseball. So a
lot of these banana ballers. Oh he's the guitar player.
Oh he's six Pakistan. Oh he's the dan, the guy
that comes down and does the flower.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
You know.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I can't think of the guy's name, but he does
every Beaber song. Oh baby baby. Boomer's not like that.
He's not gonna show us emotions to some girl in
the stands for some skit at a baseball game. He's
gonna play the baseball game.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yeah. And then also, I'd like to apologize to our
Australian buddy, Troy Dodds. I guess he hit me up
a few weeks ago, said mate, coming back to Nashville,
and then he sent a picture last night that he
was down on Broadway. Totally missed the message a couple
of weeks ago. So Troy, welcome back to Nashville. Sorry
we didn't get you in on the pods. That's on me.

(06:05):
Uh didn't check the message, and I want to apologize.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Here's what happens when you don't check messages.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
You want one of those?

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah, Hey, if you and Scuba want to come to
a White Sox game, I can get you guys down
for batting practice and tickets to the game. You can
come watch a White Sox game.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Oh are you talking about when you went to Chicago
and then you rushed back because you had some friends
in town.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yeah, but read that message two weeks too late.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Wait, what did the person do work for the team?

Speaker 1 (06:35):
And I don't know if watching that down for batting
practice means that me and Scuba would take a couple
of swings.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
No, you'd probably just be walking on the field, hanging out, talking,
chatting it up with whoever. The White Sox have on
their team, even though they're in Japan. Yeah, they're a
lot better than they've been in the past few years. Right,
touch up on your Japanese. That sucks.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
They're fighting in the Central, are actually in first.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, the Central's kind of bad, kind of weak.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Well, it's his Scooball went down for two months and
lost a c ion.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Uh. Yeah, it was hurting my fantasy baseball team. Cousin
Andrew and I we are co managers and basically I
just look at the thing every day and hope for
good things. He's making moves. I haven't made a single.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Move good co manager.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Well, he's on top of it, like he thinks. Because
in our league, if you're gonna pick someone up for
a Thursday, you have to pick him up on Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
You can't pick someone up the day of. And I
don't think that far in advance. That should be good
for ticket sales and fantasy draft.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah no, but we're more organized, so we're gonna be
so much better. See I read an email only a
day late on Sloppy Joe's birthday. I miss Troy Dodd's email.
That's my fault. But the fantasy league and sore losers convention,
way ahead of schedule, way ahead.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
And guys update with Freeland Chevrolet. They are working on
my vehicle, but I told him there's no rush start
the ticker because I've had the rental for over a month. Wow,
and we're now going into the holidays. I think I
could pull off having this sucker for two months just
slow playing them. Oh yeah, yeah yeah, getting funds together.

(08:13):
So as it stands right now, I got a free vehicle.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
That's pretty good except for the gas.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
So they're good people. Yeah, you got to pay for
that except for electric If you're an Elon person, you
guys are operating on that free gas.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Not it's not free gas.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
No, that electricity still costs money. There are the free ones,
but it costs twelve hour or it takes twelve hours
to charge the ones that are fast an hour costs
forty fifty sixty dollars for electricity that's free.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So if you're on a road trip, you got to
go to one and it takes twelve hours to charge
a free one, So can I leave? Like if there's
a free one, I don't know where the free ones are.
Maybe you figured that out on your road trip.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Outlet mall. Okay, but no I leave it there and
can I go to my hotel?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Yeah? Yeah, okay, but how would I get to my hotel?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Well, and here's the interest that you just walk. It's
that's why we call it parking lot life. You only
can go to stuff that's parking lot away.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
But what's interesting is I think somebody can actually take
it out of your cars and put it in theirs.
So and then yeah, yeah, is what I've learned. But
it's the culture, this parking lot culture. Though they're all
sweet to each other. One lady's just beating her mats,
just asking us where we're from being so it's a
social group. Everybody's trying to help everybody out. Hey you

(09:33):
got a water? Hey, do you have any nuts for
the kids. It's a really fun community because they're there
chilling for however long to get the electricity.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Well that you know what I'm wondering is if rest
areas on the highway, if they're gonna start putting in
charging stations at the rest areas, you know what I mean?
Like when he says rest area five miles and you
pull over and it's a little park and they got
some picnic tables, they got bathrooms and says welcome to
Arkansas or welcome to Missouri. Oh. Are they going to
start having charging stations at those rest areas?

Speaker 1 (10:04):
They should? Depends on the deal that SpaceX and Tesla
has with rest areas, which I don't know anything of.
The question is not the question. The statement Scuba made
very fascinating. There's a penn station subs in brother in
my town, okay, like in the adjacent to it or whatever,
went out of business.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I never heard of it.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Well, it's phenomenal. We found one in Indiana and killed
it and it was thriving. Everybody in the entire community
was going into the one in Indiana. The one up
north in the country coast. Not enough business. What was
the difference between the two, both same company, both same subs,
both phenomenal subs in a sub world?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Was it the size of the city. How big of
the city was you in in? Uh? Nope?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
The answer is one had an electric charging the other didn't.
People would park go to the sub shop all day long.
That thing was cooking.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I didn't like the way you buzzed me. You're like
my damn kids. Oh.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
People hung up. They thought the show, and my kids
do that too. They're like, hey, Dad, Dad, guess what
I did? And I'm like, you went to the bathroom. Eh, okay,
what dad? Guess what I had for breakfast?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
An orange? Eh? I might got to get the shot up, dude.
I get buzzed all freaking day.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
That's awesome. I need to do that in everyday life.
If somebody doesn't answer something fast enough, if.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
You answer it wrong and they go or I mean
they do it all the time.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Or if your partner isn't answering the question quickly enough. Hey,
where do you want to eat? We're going to Wendy's.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
No, I do it? Hey you want to go bang?
And she says no, I say wrong answer. Try again,
you want to go bang?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
No?

Speaker 2 (11:51):
The answers yes, all right, let's go.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
So it's a wrong and it also ends the topic
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah. And speaking of I took the kids last night
to watch Back to the Future.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I thought you were gonna say Toy Story seven.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
No, we didn't go to the movie theater, but my kid,
baby Botch did say, Dad, Dad, can we are we
going to watch a toy Story? And I'm like, no, no, no,
We're going to watch Back to the Future and he's like,
what is that? And I was like, trust me, it's phenomenal.
You're gonna love it. You went to the theater for it? No,
someone told us that a movie's in the park in
town was having it, so we went to that moviees

(12:27):
in the park. Like, there's movies in the park all
over the city. Did you know that on different nights
of the week.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah, I've had friends in the East Side post it before.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, there's like a Tuesday night one place, a Wednesday night,
a Thursday night. I mean they're all over.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Hey, brother, you got some popcorn.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
And so you just look down at you go look
at the movies in the park and you pick which
night because they have different movies at different locations. Phenomenal concept.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Sounds like a free movie for the unhoused.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
It is really cool. And I did not see any
unhoused there, but it was dark.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Check the bushes.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
But they do have food trucks and everything at these
movies in the art takes a long longer to get
your food forty five minutes. It's kind of rough. You
got to sit there and wait. So you got to
get there early so you can order the food before
it gets crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
That and some of these food trucks let you do
it on an app or online beforehand.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
You should I should do that, but I don't have apps,
and I don't do apps, so I would be able
to get better service. But I do like like the
snow cone place. Last night, we found out you can
order the largest seven dollars and you can split it
into two, so each kid only costs three fifty. If

(13:34):
you get smalls, they're six bucks. Genius from your own ice.
So while I, I mean we did the split it
in half. We had another family with us and there
was six kids total. We'll take three largest, split them
in half.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
But what do you what's your container? You're splitting them
in No, they do it themselves. They split it into
the two containers. They go against their own business policy
by making the smalls out of a large they do.
None of them realize.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
That bad business on their part, because hey, they're paying
for two cups. You know, that's that's price out of
their bottom line, and they split it and it's like,
all right, we got two smalls for the price of
a large.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
I was thinking you were maybe bringing some fine china
from home. Hey, kids be wild bull, Hey can you
can you pour this in here? Sometimes you got to
just bring your own blank bring your own you just
have to.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yeah, well, last night, back to the future, there's a
couple of things that happened that were crazy. Bring your
own condom. So we went with two other families. So
there's a total of nine kids. One's a baby, so
he doesn't really get involved, he doesn't count. But the
other eight kids, they're out there running around, playing on
the field, on this field and just being Craig got
a soccer ball and a frisbee and one of the

(14:50):
girls comes running back and goes, hey, Parker's getting in
a fight. Parker's getting in a fight and Parker's only seven.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Woa with them with a big kid with a big kid.
I'm like, wait, they're pushing and shoving. Whoa friend's kid's
name giving out on the air.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
And it's not his real name.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
It's one of my friend's kid's real names. Oh sorry, right,
I chose a wrong alias.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
My bad, My apologies.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
I don't know the other kids, Nay Boomer and the
other one Henley.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
So I go over there to find out what's going on,
and it turns out that one of the kids in
our group who's also seven, has a messy jersey on,
and some middle school kid told him Rinaldo's better. So
seven year old Parker who starts trying to fight him,

(15:47):
pushing him sounds like New York during the NBA Finals,
and I talked to his parents, I might, dude, he's
over there and he's mad because the kid is saying
Rinaldo is better than MESSI they go, Parker doesn't even
know who either one of those is. Why does he
ca So Parker is getting upset about two guys. He
doesn't even know who they are.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
They're the most famous people in the world, but.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
He doesn't care about soccer.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
I didn't know who they were until South Beach taught
me like ten years ago. Maybe tell me about this
messy guy.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Good and he's still phenomenal and that crazy Ten years
later and he's still the best in the world.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
He told me about him in college. Had no idea
who he was until college.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
So the fact that a seven year old is trying
to fight a middle schooler over Rinaldo and MESSI hilarious.
And so some of the kids come back and he's
still over there trying to fight, so his parents go
over there. His dad gets up, goes over there, and
he comes back, and I mean, Parker is looking pissed,
and I was like, what happened, Dune? He goes, I

(16:46):
was fighting Rinaldo's son. Like what, he goes, Yeah, he
was telling us Ronaldo's better than MESSI and he goes
it was Rinaldo's son. It's like, that's not Ronaldo's son.
He goes. He told me he was.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
That funny. That's why you have kids right there, that
is why you have kids. They're idiots. Yeah, it's Ronaldo's son.
Got kick his ass. Ronaldo's son is hanging out in
Nashville and back to the future. And also, if kid
says it, they all think it, then you know they

(17:23):
could lie. They all believe it, and so we're like, hey,
but you know, you don't realize that until later in life.
That person was lying when they told me. That person
was totally lying when they told me that, and you're
just now realizing it later in life.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah. Oh, my my seven year old is always like, hey, dad, babybox.
I was like dad, dad, Uh, Steve was telling me that,
uh this this or this happened. I'm like I don't
think that's true. He goes, that's what I said, but
he told me it was really true. He's like, there's
people living on Mars right now. And I'm like, it's
not true, and he goes, no, he told me it's true. Dad.

(17:57):
I'm like, well, how do I argue with what a
seven year old told a seven year old? And then
my seven year old doesn't want to believe me, or
he's like, I told him he was lying too, but
he told me he's a truth dad. So I don't know. Well.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
And kids back when you're younger, they'll always boats, planes
and automobiles. You think all these kids have a lake
house in another state and they have some rich uncle.
None of them did. They all just made that up? Correct,
It's hilarious. Oh we went to this on vacation. Did
you really or did you just make that up? This
one girl, I have no idea if they listened. I
want to get back to your story. I have no

(18:28):
idea if they listen to the podcast or not. But
she always used to go visit family in a different state.
I can't say specifically got it. And so they always
made it sound like they're very wealthy, very rich, I
just saw on Facebook the other day. No, I was

(18:49):
like in the middle of the cornfield and the dad
looked like he had a pitchfork and it looked like
he was semi on housed. I'm like, I thought it
was some rich guy in sant the whole time.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Barts.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Yeah, man, that's cool, But I mean that's where you
went every summer.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
That's incredible.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
That place looks like there's like a broken down boat
in the background. I used to take it with some
exclusive lake in Saint Louis. It looks like, shit, Hey,
we'll take a.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Break up into the story right out to this.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
It's so true.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Kids can paint a picture in your mind. It's theater
of the mind. Dude, whoever says it with the most confidence,
that's believable. Little John wasn't rich. Aunt and uncles, kids
didn't have any money. Everybody, Oh I did this this summer.
Whatever they did is ten times bigger than they say
it is. They played in a puddle, They didn't go

(19:50):
to a lake. Their family doesn't have this exclusive luxurious car.
Their family has basically a rundown.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Accurate.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Their family doesn't have a huge boat. Do they take
out it's a dinghy what Justin takes on gun Lake?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
So the movie's about to start. The kids went back
out and played, and the movie's about to start. They
come running over there and Baby Box Two's like, Dad, look,
I only got one crock And I'm like, well, where's
your other one? He goes, Oh, I left it over there.
He goes, I didn't want to miss the start of
the movie.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Dude, you run an insane asylum.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
I said, how long? Like? I said, look realistically, how
long would it have taken you to pick up the
one sandal? Like? I mean? He goes. I go, how
close was it to you? He goes, oh, he's right
next to me.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
The plot thickens.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
I said, do you realize it's about to be pitch
dark out here? And when the movie's over, we're not
going to be able to see your crock. Oh I
know where it is, Dad, I know where it is. Well,
then go get it, dumb ass. And he goes, But Dad,
I don't want to miss the start of the movie.
I said. The screen is right there. It is massive.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
You are gonna be able to see the screen wherever
you are getting your your croc. It'll be present day
before they go back to the future.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
He's like, all right, I'll go look for it. I
mean runs, gets it, comes sprinting back cla I made
it before the movie started. A good job, great job,
great job. Then we watched the movie, and I don't
know if you've ever seen Back in the Future, if
you've seen it.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Recently, yes, my grandmother's house back when I was twelve
years old, and haven't watched it since. Exactly, you haven't
watched it in years. What you don't realize is what
a skank the mom is. She is looking to hook
up with everybody.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
I thought you were gonna say it was racist.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
I was like, awesome, No that.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
I did not, Lorraine. I did not know how promiscuous
she was. Like oh, she was just like every dude like,
oh eh, I want to go park with you.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
It was crazy. It was like some things you don't
realize as a kid as an adult. I looked to
the dad next to me. I was like, dude, do
you remember her being this like, uh, like ready to go?
And he goes, no, he's all liquored up, gooning.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
He was like, man, but she's a looker.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
What was his wife around?

Speaker 2 (22:27):
No wife took the baby home.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
She's guys like, guys, hold back on how hot?

Speaker 2 (22:33):
You say?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Somebody else's man? Is she hot? Chill out?

Speaker 2 (22:38):
I mean whatever. And then we ran into another couple
that we like, no, and I was like, hey, where's
your daughter? You didn't bring your daughter to this? Like,
oh no, we don't have her for the whole month.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
That's parenting?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Like what do you mean? They're like, oh, we uh,
we went on a vacation and on the way back,
we dropped to our grandma's and we said, hey, we're
gonna leave it here for the whole month. And I
was like really, They're like, yeah, so we got we're
kid free for a month.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Does that count as parenting? We had this friend who
dropped off her daughter for three months at the parents
in a different state.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
I'm like, does that count is parenting? It seems weird
to me. And I was like, so what do you
guys do? Like, man, we're trying to we're trying to
look for a vacation to go on. We're feending for
some alcohol.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
We're like, hey, man, we got nothing to do, Like
it's just so peaceful. Frank's been drunk the last four nights.
I've never heard of being able to just drop your
kid off for a month at grandma and Grandpa's.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Like, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Great in laws and definitely didn't used to happen generation ago.
That's a new thing where, uh, I feel like, I
don't know, maybe in laws. We're still working back in
the day. Now people got smart with their money and
they can retire early. I don't know how with this
it got to this, but yes, it is a thing
where people are dropping their kids off for months.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
It's a max five days.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
I mean, I would have loved to have escape my
parents for months. That's a I think the longest I
ever got was maybe two or three days.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Oh, Grandma and Grandpa my dad's parents. Uh, they would
fly us up to Topeka once the summer for one week.
We each got a week, and so my brother would go,
then my sister than me, and that was it.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
It wasn't no month, it was one week a month.
And then all that can happen in that amount of time.
I mean, dude, mom and dad are probably gonna be
divorced by the time the kids come back, or.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
The kid's not gonna know who mom and dad are.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Who are you?

Speaker 2 (24:35):
You guys, what I live with you now? I want
to stay here with Granny.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Yeah, a lot of these grandparents are not getting any
credit for raising the kids, and parents are taking it.
And I'll hang up and listen.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
And then we had drama at the house yesterday cuz.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
More dramatic than the Croc sandal and all those kids.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
I didn't realize this was happening, but uh, we had
some friends over or just during the day so the
kids could play run around. It was a nice day.
And my seven year old baby Box, he goes, Dad,
You'll never believe what Brock said to me. Mike, what

(25:15):
did Brock say? Got the blee button ready? He goes, Dad,
I don't. I don't want to play with him anymore.
I was like, I'm just gonna go inside, Like what
what's wrong? Buddy? Goes Brock said something very mean to me,
and I'm like, okay, well what did he say? He said?
And I said, did he say something bad? Like do

(25:37):
we need to talk to him? Because I don't want
I don't want you to talk to him about it.
I don't want you to tell him I told you,
Mum's the word son. I was like, all right, Bud, whatever.
I was like, what's going on? He goes brock. Brock
told me I was his least favorite best friend.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Oh my gosh, I bleeped it. That is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
And I said what.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
He goes, yeah, sorry, you guys, I bleep that for
the kids in the car.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
He goes, he told me I was his least best friend.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Oh my gosh, a kid would say that.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah. And I was like, oh man, dude, I am
so sorry that that kind of hurts. And he goes, yeah.
So I'm just gonna go inside. I don't want to
play with him anymore.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
What advice did you give him, like hook up with his.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Girlfriend or what? I said? Well, you know how he
doesn't apply to four year olds. I no, he's seven.
I said. How you can get him to be your
best best friend is if you give him twenty dollars smart.
I didn't really say that. I was like, oh man,
I'm sorry. He probably didn't mean it. I mean, he
was probably mad about something, and when we get mad
about something, we say things we don't mean, and so

(26:41):
he was probably trying to say something to hurt you.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Who are you therapy cat?

Speaker 2 (26:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:47):
I heard it on feeling yourself if if you were
feeling that he brocked projecting and I said, you need
to learn boundaries.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
And I said, what happened? He goes, we were playing
tug a war and he thought he wanted and I
told him he didn't. And that's when he told me
that I was his least best friend.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
And so then I go and go in the front
yard and the two moms, my wife and his mom,
are sitting on the front porch and I was like, guys,
we got some kid drama.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Brock, can I have a moment with you?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
I said, we got some kid drama.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
That's where you need to talk to Brock or do
you have to go through the parents? You can't talk
to what do I need to talk to him about it?
I mean, it's hilarious that he said he's his least
best friend. But you got to step in for your kid. No,
that's that's for them to handle. Ten minutes later, you're
gonna be fine. That's how kids operate. Well, son, my
name is Ben and I and in it my name
is Paul. It's up to you.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
And I did ask. I asked baby box, I said, well,
where where would Brock be on your best friend list.
He goes, oh, Dad, I mean he would be at
least third or fourth. I'm like, so he's down, he's
not number one, and you're mad that you're not his
number one. He goes, yeah, but I would at least
be expected to be number three or four on his list,
not least best friend. Who is your kid's number one?

(27:58):
A furry I'm not sure sure he didn't really tell
me his order. I didn't have time for that. I
was in the middle of trying not to laugh when
he's telling me all this, and so I go out.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Ray his number one's one of those Lemur kids.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
And I talked to the moms and I'm like, guys,
we got some kid drama. And I was like, baby
Box is upset because Brock told him that he was
his least best friend. And Brock's bomb busts out, laughing,
bust out laughing. She goes, I'm sorry, that is hilarious.
I was like, no, no, it is hilarious. She just
I'll go talk to Brock.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Smart of you to take it to the women though,
so you can gain their trust. And also you're kind
of you're passing around these rumors and things, so you're
the women are liking you more. You're you're in a
good spot right now in the family friend group.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah. So she went and talked to Brock and everything
was settled. Within five minutes, they were back to playing,
Baby Box was back outside. Everything was squashed. But that
is the drama. It starts at seven years old. If
you get said you're the least best friend, tears and
emotions come out, man, and we'll take a break. We'll

(29:07):
bright back. You want to talk some sports or now
should we just talk life?

Speaker 1 (29:14):
There's no way you're going to talk about a game
that apparently didn't matter because we already moved on. Didn't
watch it, man, neither did I. I'm about to cancel
all of our streaming services. I've been turned on my
main TV in weeks. I'ven't turned on the TVs in
the main cave. I made a mistake. I put them
on top of each other. One remote controls both, but

(29:34):
it doesn't control both at the same time. So while
you're turning one off, it turns off the other. While
you change the channel on one, it changed the channel
on the other. I haven't turned those on in about
two months. You gotta go side by side right, like, there.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Just wasn't the room for it.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
And I believe esthetically it's actually better to watch it
like that. The side by side you find yourself.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Looking all right, yeah, so now you just go up
and down.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Yeah, you look like an owl. So and then the
bedroom TV, I just go in there to sleep and
smack stuff around. Man, we don't have a bedroom TV.
We were given like seven. That's pretty nice, But the
TV situation, I might be out on it. Eh.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
In sports right now, the World Cup is still great.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
But I mean that the game meant nothing. So it
was on at nine. There was nothing on when I'm
about to go to bed.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
You're correct, it was on late. And so when we're
playing a bunch of subs and we end up losing, fine,
we lose three to two, everybody's always who cares? We
won the group, that's all that matters. And so I
got a couple of text from Batter's box, Oh, you
don't even care about soccer anymore, already giving up on
the USA, And I'm like, no, no, no, it doesn't matter.
Like the game does not matter, literally has no outcome

(30:46):
that whatever happens, nothing's gonna change. We're gonna play Bosnia
and Hrzegovina, and that's it.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
And I was a gambler myself, and that's why I
always hate these type of people. Was it widely known
that players were gonna get sat Yes, First thing, I
see this John Sarasani, you can find him on Instagram.
I see this idiot. I lost five thousand dollars on
the USA. First thing I see this morning.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
Same thing with Germany. I thought all the money was
coming in on Germany and they had already clinched. They
weren't gonna play anybody.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
I was pretty sure everybody said players were gonna be
benched at times. Yes, why would you bet five thousand
dollars on a team that's resting people.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
You're playing the backups, man, you're playing the second stringers.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
It's just the gamblers mentality. I can't but we lost.
And this idiot that I followed didn't know the most
common news that was all around.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
I think people just see USA and they got excited
and they don't pay attention to the article. Like the
coach even said anybody that has a yellow card will
not play.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Oh he did, Yeah, because then you could possibly set
out the next because if you got another yellow card,
You're you're out. The next game ray yellow, red, green,
and blue, just like traffic light.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
So it's just it was interesting. And I don't even
know how he played. I don't have any idea, but
I know Polisic did get in the game, which was crazy.
But you gotta get him some conditioning. I get it.
He hadn't played in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
What was the game Nashville N some I was Los
Angeles because I got an email from Nashville SC and
it said USA moved on, So does Nashville SC. I
was like, what the game was here?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
No, but we are gonna have some Olympic games here,
okay when the Olympics happened in a couple of years.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
But they fire that email off and I almost want
to read it to you because it was just false marketing, honestly, guys.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
And what did Nashville SC move on from?

Speaker 1 (32:32):
That's what I didn't understand. So I thought the game
was here, and I was like, oh, the stadium must
move on to the next playoff round. But we didn't
get a game here.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
No, we didn't get anything.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
But I wish dude, USA advances handshake. No fees for
you all soccer, No fees. The USA is advancing to
the knockout round. Now it's your turn to get in
the game because sc has moved on.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Eh, I don't know what we've moved on to.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
They tried to tie in USA Soccer Andshville. I see,
so people will think that USA Soccer is in is
in the stadium, but it's really a yellow team you're
gonna be seeing in July.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Interesting. And did you see the videos of the Netherlands
fans taking over Kansas City yesterday morning at like eight am?
Just the sea of people, Yes, freaking phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
And also the uh love the videos of everybody loving
this country. Watched them for two hours to take talks
with bays Or a week ago. Yeah, that's why we
live here. Yeah. And then the French.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I think they were at a bar in Boston and
it wasn't open yet and they were open the bar, open, bar,
open up. Fantastic.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Did you see those idiots made it to Nashville.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
No, the tark Army, the Tartan Army.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, they were outside of Walling's bar just chanting and
yelling stuff.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
And if you wished out of known, I'd have gone
down there.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I felt bad for the bouncers because you can't bounce them.
They're not fighting. You can't let them in they're too loud,
so they just stand there screaming in bouncers ears way,
all the taunting.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Did you see him? Hey? Did you see him? Down?
And I think it was Miami or wherever. And they
got the Miller Light send a boat because they ran
out of beer in Boston. They like drink the city dry,
so they were worried about it getting drinked all down there.
So they send a Miller Light boat all full of
Miller Light and a bunch of tartan army on it.
And they see some dude out for a run at

(34:23):
like eight o'clock at night. He's got his shirt off
and he's running like exercising, and they start yelling at
him and he stops. They throw him a beer. Dude
chugs it, slams it, and keeps on running.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
The army goes crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Ah, the Taunton. It's so freaking fantastic, dude.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Those dudes can't live past sixty right, Oh no, like
their livers, they like every single one of them is
an alcoholic. And how do they have six months off
work to just come and hang out for six months.
That's been another one of the points. People are like,
love all your tourism and the ways you're able to
take in America, but what company do you work for
that's allowing you to have two months off?

Speaker 2 (35:03):
But that's the thing over in Europe they have a
lot of vacation. I know.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yeah, we get a weekend off.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yeah we can't. We get a labor day weekend off.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yay. You can't squeeze in an overseas flight, Nope, can't
do it.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
And I mean it's phenomenal. I wish we lived in
a city where we could see that takeover, like the Netherlands,
where fifty thousand of them just show up downtown and
the whole street is orange.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Fantastic. Well, they missed out on USA. Nashville Stadium's not
big enough.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
If we would have had the new Titan Stadium, I
don't know what it's gonna be called, they would have
got a game.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Well why not make a point to finish the field first?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
It's great question, great question.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
A good foresight. But like we have with the ticket sales.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
You brought up gambling and did you see the major
League Baseball what they're trying to do. They're in negotiations,
you know, the whole contract, whatever collective bargaining agreement. The
players have proposed to ban all prop bets on baseball players.

(36:06):
Good you had that one pitcher was thrown in the
dirt because he was betting first pitch strikes classe. Yeah,
they said, because of all the harassment they receive from
fans one way or the other, if they don't do it,
or they do it, if they hit, they someone picks
them not to get a hit, someone picks them to
get a hit. That the online and in person abuse

(36:27):
that they are receiving. They want all prop bets gone. Agreed,
Not bad? I kind of agree, yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Because also, don't you want to people watching the whole game?
They just do a first inning bet. People are leaving early.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
And the fans can't be as angry at you. They
can bet on the game, but then they have to
watch the whole game. And guys, dad, let's be real.
If you're doing pitch by pitch bet, oh you're in trouble.
You're not lasting past it to second inning. What's the
beauty of a five inning bet?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
You make it halfway through?

Speaker 2 (36:57):
The game.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
The beauty of a full game bet is your bet
last for three hours this pitch to pitch betting, you'll
be done before the end of the bottom of the
first Yeah, me and South Beach learning that the hard way.
In college, we bet the opening kickoff over the twenty
five yard line. It was back when they kneel it
and it goes to twenty. We didn't realize that if

(37:18):
you just kneel it the guy, you don't even get
to see the guy run and it just goes to
the twenty. Then, oh my god, so our entire whatever
it was, Kitty, We had probably fifty dollars ended at
twelve oh one on a Sunday because the guy just
needed We didn't even get to see a guy run
the ball and the game didn't even start. Essentially, no
time went off the clock. We're like, that was the

(37:39):
stupidest bet we've ever made in our lives. Now we
have to watch it get three hour game with nose
cash on it, the guy needs it and no time
goes off the clock. Well, South Beach, we're freaking idiots
because who would have thought that it doesn't count with
the knee then you don't even get to watch any action.

(38:00):
I love dumb college kids trying to make bets. Dude,
dne crazy. You can't get to the twenty five yard line,
Antoine Randall, L's so fast, dude, he's gonna cook knees it.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
And then the Super Bowl opens up and it's the
Bears versus the Colds. You're like, oh no, they're not
gonna make it the twenty five already. Know I've seen
this one before Devin Hester touchdown. You're like, god opening
kick kick six? Oh man, anything else, dude, I don't
know anything else.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
There's gotta be some housekeeping. Though.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
You had something you were gonna say, Ah.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
It was about what I'm giving you zero point one
acres for some bet we made.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
I thought when I showed up and you were like,
oh this and.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
No, no, no, something else, No, I said again to
be seeing Boomer. Boomer had an NBA in a high
school All star game for basketball. Oh he made it, Yeah,
and they dud. They had a light show before the game.
Really head in door Fire Sparkler's going off kid said
he put up seven points. Mister Michigan was there. Asked

(39:06):
me if there was any dunks during the game. He said,
one kid's I mean, it's Michigan.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
So wait, oh, mister Michigan. He was mister Michigan in basketball.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Boomer, yeah, no, that's like the most prestigious award.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Of all time. That's why I was like, oh my god, it's.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Like Draymond Green and crap. Okay, but yeah, so Boomer,
I go, were there any dunks during the game, and
he said, one kid grazed the rim, But that's Michigan.
These kids don't want to jump. I'm like, Boomer, you're six'.
Five IF i was given another, foot, DUDE i would
have been throwing down two handed. DUNKS i MEAN i
can touch rim now ish with a, BASKETBALL.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Know by pulling myself up on.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
The net and then.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Dunking we did the bed on The Big. SHOW i
SAID i could dunk, it AND i went up to
the hoop and grabbed the, net pulled myself.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Up and dunked.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
It at THE, ymca all the workers are, like this
guy's not gonna get even close To duncan and are
you sure you want to do it on this? Hoop
we go, LIVE i grab the net and pull myself
up and dunk.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
It that's really. Funny oh, Man, yeah well you guys
have a great. Weekend what? Else that's ALL i? Got? Man?

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Golf is there any golf on the? Horizon tell me?

open on A. Saturday So i'm, like is a durrentchio?
Forecasted AM i not checking something? Properly or why Is

Speaker 2 (40:33):
Net, yeah there's a ninety percent chance of rain On. Saturday,
okay hey tomorrow that might be A, YEAH i played.
Golf what day was? It? Ah what is? Today Sunday's?

Speaker 1 (40:47):

Speaker 1 (41:43):

that what he'll do is just BOOK t times On
saturdays And sundays and you don't ever get penalized for
not canceling. Him he, Said so he'll always just have
those times.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
Whenever he wants.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Them smart and they whatever The muni that he goes
to doesn't have actually checks him, By so you can
just make all these tea times that you never even.

Speaker 2 (42:03):

Him he goes there off and he's a. Regular and

out of. There AND i joined the group with those
guys and we're chatting it up and we have a
group of four guys in front of. US i have

(46:12):
never seen people play such slow golf in my freaking.
Life it was. Miserable they were a whole hole behind
the people in front of, them and they never let
us play. Through they would drive the carts right up
to the, green like on the fringe and park their golf.
Cart trump does, that so maybe they watch a lot Of.
TRUMP i don't. Know but it was so. Slow we

(46:34):
were waiting the whole. Time and at, nine the one
guy that was walking that was carrying his little kid,
bag he's all, right, boys it's enough for. ME i
got my nine, In i'm out of, here AND i
this other dude forgot his name halfway through the. Round
real nice guy from THE Us Virgin islands lived In
New york for thirty three years. Now he lives. Here
retire two years. Ago he plays golf four days a.

(46:55):
Week he just picked up golf when he, retired so
he's learning the. Game playing four days of week. Minimum
that's the. Life AND i was, like, dude we got
to pass these. Guys we gotta pass. Them he's, like
let's go them, on let's. Go so we go to
the ninety or the tenth tee and they just got
out of the clubhouse in front of us and they're
at the tea. Box so we get, there we get
our drivers, out and we're just kind of standing.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
There, oh you beat them to it In, no they're
they're still, there, okay but they're right in front of,
us thinking they're gonna, say, hey there's only two of you.
Guys you guys go, ahead cause it's common. Courtesy if
the other group seems, faster it's, like, sure go, ahead
it doesn't hurt you at.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
ALL a wi go doesn't hurt, us doesn't hurt. Them
and first guy teas, off and we're standing on the
tea box right behind, them like right, there next guy teas.
Off we're, like how you guys? Doing oh beautiful, day,
man beautiful. Day And i'm, like that's not WHAT i was,
asking just kind of dropping hints, here and third guy teas.

(47:49):
Off then they get up in their cart and they
drive to the tea's up to let the last guy
drive and then they drive.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
Off, yeah you almost got to be making awkward Sy
hey can we.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
And the Guy i'm playing? With it goes those dim,
wits those dim.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
WITS i was, like, dude, look yeah it is one
BECAUSE i was, like, look, man you know we could
do we could skip, ten play it on the after
we play, Eighteen like we could just skip them and
just we'll be.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Flying he, GOES i love that. Idea let's. Go let's.
Go so we drove past them and then, boom boom
boom two holes. Later absolute stand, Still, bro.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
You maybe never want a golf again and always just
golf off my patio and just imagine. That i'm amazing at.
Golf good.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
GOSH i, mean but we were still a hole and
a half ahead of those guys behind.

Speaker 1 (48:39):
Us but a standstill, again, standstill that's the worst in.
Golf it's already slow enough when you then are even
slower and you're just standing. There no, boos flowing through
the system and you're watching other people's terrible. Shots it
was a very slow round of. Golf the guy was very,
nice very. Friendly we get done with.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
Eighteen then we whip aroun round to ten and we're
up on the tea box and there's people making the.
Turn they come driving. UP i was, like, hey, guys
this is our last. Hole we had to skip. It
we had to slow force. Them and they're, like oh my,
gosh you're really gonna throw off my golf. Game and he,
Goes i'm dis, messed what, you.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
DUDE i don't give a, Crap like, whatever need it
ain't gonna make a difference to. Us i'm, like all,
right And i'm like doing my practice lining, up looking
Where i'm gonna hit, it and all of a SUDDEN
i hear.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
It's a guy from the. Club hey, Man, hey, hey,
hey you. Can't you can't play the back night. Again
you can't play the back night. Again that's not. Allow i'm, like,
oh hey, man we had to skip ten because there
was an absolutely dreadfully slow. Forsome they wouldn't let us go,
through so we just skipped the. Hole he, goes, guys
