people that are going into work on this snowy Minnesota morning.
Who are you? Where are you? You can use talkback,
you could call us eight sixty six win caletle two.
Let's just put a few on. Kim.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hi, my name is Kim and I'm from Arley, ten
and I'm on my way to work.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yeah, look at that you trooper. Hey Kim? Yeah, Kim,
how far is your commute?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
My commute is about thirty minutes, but it's taking me
double the time.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
We'll take it easy, yes, kay?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
One or two is my country?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Thank you. Guys. There you get We're not trying to
make anyone feel guilty for staying at home because the
weather is really crappy.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
But hey, Garrett, Hey, Chris Scartt here, there are you going?
I'm back in Minnesota, but uh, I'm actually supposed to
be going to do troubling and my boss told me
not to come in till ten am for residential Garrett.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Why don't you go back to bed? What are you
doing calling me go back to bed?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Well, my girlfriend wanted trottle milk. So I'm doing a
trotting the milk from.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Oh nice.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Chocolate milk.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Chocolate, What a girl at five in the morning. Yeah,
go get that chocolate milk, and let's hit a couple
from Chalkback. We're saluting the heroes this morning, the real
heroes that make Minnesota work out of daylight today. Here's
another one.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I work security in downtown Saint Paul and I'm currently
on ninety four East and I'm the only one and
I'm basically in the middle of the road making my
own way. Also, three ninety four and Hopkins Crossroad was
totally snowed in. We're driving all year.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Look at that.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
Yeah, man, what a hero. I hope that he hears
this song playing. Is he just forges his way down
ninety four.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, that's a dude that's going to get laid later.
What do you hear that in his voice? That's a
hero right there.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I'm only from Egan and I've just maant it to work.
It took me an extra ten minutes, but that's all right.
I ended up with my husband's truck and he gets
my suv. Nothing's cloud except for the main road of
Highway three.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
And did you hear that?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
True?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Two heroes there, she's going into work taking his truck
and he took the suv because it's more dangerous. What
a man. All right, let's do one more. I am
definitely driving to work today.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
They didn't close it down, so somebody's got to get
there and get stuff done, got chores done, fed.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Animals this morning, and driving to work.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Bring on the snow.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
They're my friends. Just a few shining examples of the
K one or two audience at work, and we salute you,
We salute you today, thank you, thank you for doing
what you do. If that wasn't like an Anheuser Bush
commercial in making, I don't know what was. Seriously, we're
not trying to highlight those that are just gutsy here.
I mean, if you want to stay home, you stay
home because it is really crappy.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
And I totally spun out by the way on three
ninety four, the exit onto three ninety four from four four,
I did a full sh you know what would call
those a full doughnut and and I wand up straight,
I mean I went right around. Was like, dang, is
that on camera? Come out, Fox nine? Where are you

(03:15):
I want to be there. The first thing I do
is I look up, was like, tell me somebody caught
that wasn't in reverse straight as an arrow. Just glorious.
I felt good about it.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
I'm glad that you're okay.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Well, no, it's not about me. I was just stupid
going too fast. Wow, even though I was going like
three miles an hour. But that exit's always bad. So guys,
even though every exit you take today is going to
be slick. So Sam, you had the biggest commute here,
You had the longest one coming in from buff Town.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, it's normally so I drive in from Maple Lake
and it's normally about fifty minutes. Anyway, I left a
half hour early and still got here at the same
time I normally get here at So my brain's a
little fried dump.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Just kidding. To see the exit that I plowed out
for him getting on the Zenia, I was the only
one to leave trails on that. Yeah, snowed in and
I missed not one but two. What was the second exit?
I one hundred?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Well, I took a hundred and I have to get
off on that Cedar Lake road.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Missed that, Well, there's a plow right in the way
and I'm like, okay, well, the wind is blowing there.
The wind is blowing so hard that I mean, it's
just it's blowing over the road so fast that I mean,
you can't even see the trails. About less than a
minute after somebody blazes them right on. Some sled dogs
and take a sled home. Oh there you go. But
we thank our plow drivers and everybody out there. I mean,
you guys are out you're doing your thing, guys and gales.

(04:26):
You're making it happen. But it's hard to keep up
on a daylight today because the wind is blowing something fierce.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Yeah, it's tricky. As soon as something's cleared out, it
seems like the wind is just blowing it right back
into place, and that.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Just sucks crazy.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
You can go to the Chris Carr Company Facebook page
and also tell us a little bit about your commute
in like Mike, he said, I drove through three foot drifts,
drove seven miles, It took thirty minutes.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Hit the hero.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Yeah, yeah, Mikes.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Bring back yet I don't where it went here we
go here is coming back.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
This goes out to Mike and everyone else on the
Chris Carr and company.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Face give me another one, ran off another one. There's
a whole bunch of people there that are texting and
driving in the snow right now. I love it.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Jessica said, I drove in thirty five w was the
worst I've ever seen. Safe travels everyone, It did take
me an extra twenty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Like your voice, thank you.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Shelley said, just drove home. Roads are terrible.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Please take it easy. And then there's some of the
more subtle ones, like from Sharon, I have an appointment
this morning, this morning, this morning, and I'm still debating
on rescheduling. But the fact of the matter is, Sharon,
you're still debating, and that makes you a hero.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Carrie said, yep, hospital slash clinics don't cancel.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Well if Jeff says no, this was actually my day off,
Well that sucks, I Jenny, when you're looking at yeah,
how about poor.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Dude about someone's still a hero even if they try
and fail. Like Jennifer, I tried, but turned around and
went home.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
And tried again. Decided to go back to back.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Matt said, already at work, been here since three am.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Oh sick work breaker right there. Let it go, man,
keV it up for that. Everybody making Minnesota work here
this morning, Thank you very much, and that wraps up
another episode of I Tell You What. You'll find more
