Oil prices surged and stocks tumbled after that ceasefire that
never was was labeled as over price of oil surge
more than seven percent today. The United States is planning
additional strikes. In the meantime, US stocks fell, compounding an
existing sell off fueled by concerns about chip and tech stocks.

Yeah, specifically the oil internationally, the Brink crude was up
about five and a half percent, and then the West
Texas Intermediate, which is the American one that we watched,
was up about five percent as well.

A preliminary hearing has been set in the David case.
This is then the murder of fourteen year old Celestriy
vas Hernandez. This preliminary hearing has been set for July
twenty first, where the judge decides if there is enough
evidence for this thing to go to trial.

Its expected to last three to five days.

Well, it's going to be warm once again, and as
they say in in July, it's July, it's too hot.
And then next week, next week they're saying there's going
to be no relief because next week is also July.

They do say that it's going to get a little
bit weird. There could be some isolated thunderstorms on Sunday,
which is that's what makes it weird. Everywhere else in
the country they get thunderstorms in the afternoon and it's

An unoccupied Manhattan high rise that we reported to you
yesterday was crumbling has been deemed stable. They thought it
was going to collapse potentially. There was a bunch of
nearby evacuations. This used to be Pfizer's global headquarters. It's
being converted in the process of into a luxury rental
complex thirty seven stories. It's near Grand Central Terminal, and

it was evacuated yesterday morning after two structural support columns
on the twenty first floor began to buckle. But now
they say it is stable, according to the building's commissioner.

The commissioner said that the inspectors did go into that building,
which that took some guts, and determined that those are
the only two structural beams that buckled. So they can't
figure out why why those two and not the ninety
eight others that exist in that building.

A growing number of West Nile carrying mosquitoes are spreading
rapidly across southern California. It's spreading faster, guys than it
has in twenty years.

A mosquito bite? For one, Well, that's how you get it.
How do I know if I have West Nile.

because a majority of people infected with West Nile are asymptomatic.

But there has been one case of human infection in
state of California this year. How many one a Long
Beach resident had to be hospitalized.

I also bring it up because you aren't high risk,
because you're over fifty.

One in ten people who's developed severe West now virus
can affect their brain nervous system and they can actually die.
Those at higher risk, like you said, over fifty. The
most severe cases high fever, headache, nick step, neck stiffness,
I don't know who nick is, vision loss, paralysis, and coma.

sore lately, and then potentially permanent damage to the brain
and nervous.

Burbank Airport is getting a one point three billion dollar
terminal soon, a new terminal. But you'll still walk on
the tarmac.

Apparently in October, Burbank is going to open a one
point three billion dollar terminal place of two smaller concourses
it's used for decades. The new setup they say will
be safer and more spacious. I don't like any change
coming to Berbank Airport.

I'm not a big fan of this.

But the only problem, the problem is the one that's

today about the strikes against Iran. The US military attacked
Iran again today after Iran struck three ships in the

Strait of Horror Moves and then Iran immediately said it's
going to take whatever measures it's the deems necessary. Scent
Com said they hit over eighty targets as punishment for
three tankers that came under fire from the Iranian regime,
and then Iran responded with strikes that targeted Bahrain and Kuwait.

Hacks ran away with the most nominations. There are some

Graham Platner is now holding the Demmocratic Party hostage. This
is going to be one of those things that Democrats
wished they acted sooner with. He's refusing to drop out
unless he gets to name the successor. This according to
people in the know in Maine, He's got all the money,

he has all of the big Democratic players there on
his team, and before he drops out, they want to
be able to name who will be in his place,
And the Democratic Party in Maine is saying no, we
want to decide. So there is a bit of a
power struggle that's going on. And he's got until Monday

to resign. That's the deadline.

Because if I think it is, if he doesn't resign
before then he stays on the ballot, stays on the ballot. Yeah,
but then would obviously he can't stay in this race.
He can't, so he could, I guess, I mean he won't,
but I mean legally he could obviously. But according to

That are trying to wrestle him to step down, they
say that his team is delusional, and apparently there is
a guy working with him, a strategist who helped elect
Mom Donnie in New York, and that person, a guy

by the name of Morris Katz, is saying he's going
to stay in the race.

Okay, well, that money's going to leave quickly. Governor Andy
Basheer out of Kentucky, is asking for information about Senator
Mitch McConnell, the senior senator from the Great State, for
an update on his health. It was almost a month
ago now that he was hospitalized following a medical emergency,

but his office and his family have not explained what
that medical emergency was. So Andy Basheer sends him a
letter specifically saying that he needs to be transparent. Kentuckians
have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your
health and well being and ability to hold office in
the United States Senate.

So he's retiring.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
His seat is up for the November election to determine
who gets it, but a vacancy occurring before August third
would trigger the process for a special election to fill
his current term.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
In Kentucky.

It's not the governor's decision to appoint an interim senator,
it would be up to a special election. This was
just put into law in twenty twenty four. It repealed
Kentucky's long standing practice of allowing the governor to appoint
an interim US senator.

But it hasn't been adjudicated.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
I bet they did it specifically because Mitch McConnell was
mid eighties and they knew that Andy Basheer was the governor.
I mean, obviously they knew he was the governor, but
if it was a Democrat governor like it is.

But like I said, it has not been adjudicated, so
that bill will be contested in court. It's going to
make a mess of things in Kentucky if this dude
is dead or dies before August third, which is why
they need to know what's going on.

job takes them to Seattle. Now imagine a sugary blonde

I recently watched a new show on Netflix called The
Worst Neighbor Ever. It was shocking to see what some
neighbors will do. Episode four specifically involved the LAPD, which
I think the LAPD detectives pushed to find out what happened.

I started that one and got depressed in the first
episode and was like, people depressed me.

Dutton Ranch is the spin off or spin off from
Yellowstone and it is really surprisingly well done. And I
didn't think I was gonna like any of it, and
they've they've pulled it out. And then the Agency Michael
Fassbender CIA agent kind of goes a little bit rogue.

Richard gear is his boss. It's very I will I'm
not saying it's the most exciting show, but it is
a good spy thriller.

I just tried to Mark. You're bringing up a sore
spot here. I just tried to convince my wife last
night that we should sit down and watch the second
season of The Agency.

I've seen the second season. It's terrific. And the French
show that it's based on almost like lift and paste
called The Bureau, which is French for the bureaus.

It's even better.

And I really I think Paramount has that it ran
five seasons, and the toughest part about watching The Agency
is you gotta wait to see the rest of it.
We only get three or two of the five seasons
so far.

Nominations for the seventy eighth Annual Primetime Emmy Awards announced
this morning in La the final season of HBO's Hacked,
setting a new record for the most nominations in a
single year. For comedy series, it was a good show.
It was a good season, twenty four nominations, topping the
record of twenty three set by The Bear and The
Studio last year.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I feel like they kind of ran into a wall
with The Bear, kept putting it in the comedy category. Yeah,
that fifth season of The Bear dropped last week or
the week before we started watching that.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Why wouldn't be Why wouldn't it be In the drama, that'sramatic.
It's a dramatic series.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I do not know. And those first three episodes of
this season are there's nothing funny, There's no it's not
it was. In fact, it was a disappointing. I'll say that.

So for dramas, here are your nominated series. The Diplomat,
The Gilded Age. I love that show. A Night of
the Seven Kingdoms, I've heard that's great paradise, the Pit
Pluribus and slow Horses, and and your Friends and Neighbors.

You never made it through the second season of Friends
and Neighbors.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
I haven't. I may revisit it.

I was kind of feeling a little fatigued from it,
but I might dive back into that.

I did take it picked up towards the end, I
do not again. It feels like that they've tried to
get into this trope of the a formula of you
got to give it four episodes. Why if you can't
write something up front that gives me a reason to
continue to watch it. I agree, don't make me waste
my time. The actors you would understand, lead actress and

actors of course, are from those shows. The only one
that's really different would be Chase Infinity from The Testaments,
but comedy series Abbot, Elementary, the Bear Hacks, Margo's Got Money, Troubles.
Nobody wants this, only murders in the building. Wow, Shrinking
and then Widow's Better.

I thought nobody wants this was better the first season
very much. So Shrinking is great. Shrinking is like a
nice comfy blanket to get into. And that's one of
that I wouldn't say it was outstanding. It's one of
those winner. It's easy. It's an easy thing, yeah, to
get into. Time wise, it's you know, thirty five, thirty

seven minutes or something like that.

But it's also it's not so heavy.

It's feel good if you feel good at the end.

Yeah, specifically the oil internationally, the Brink crude was up
about five and a half percent, and then the West
Texas Intermediate, which is the American one that we watched,

vas Hernandez. This preliminary hearing has been set for July

on the twenty first floor began to buckle. But now
they say it is stable, according to the building's commissioner.

figure out why why those two and not the ninety

be able to name who will be in his place,
And the Democratic Party in Maine is saying no, we

Okay, well, that money's going to leave quickly. Governor Andy
Basheer out of Kentucky, is asking for information about Senator
Mitch McConnell, the senior senator from the Great State, for
an update on his health. It was almost a month
ago now that he was hospitalized following a medical emergency,

but his office and his family have not explained what
that medical emergency was. So Andy Basheer sends him a
letter specifically saying that he needs to be transparent. Kentuckians
have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your
health and well being and ability to hold office in
the United States Senate.

So he's retiring.

His seat is up for the November election to determine
who gets it, but a vacancy occurring before August third
would trigger the process for a special election to fill
his current term.

In Kentucky.

It's not the governor's decision to appoint an interim senator,
it would be up to a special election. This was
just put into law in twenty twenty four. It repealed
Kentucky's long standing practice of allowing the governor to appoint
an interim US senator.

I bet they did it specifically because Mitch McConnell was
mid eighties and they knew that Andy Basheer was the governor.
I mean, obviously they knew he was the governor, but

that bill will be contested in court. It's going to
make a mess of things in Kentucky if this dude
is dead or dies before August third, which is why
they need to know what's going on.

I recently watched a new show on Netflix called The
Worst Neighbor Ever. It was shocking to see what some
neighbors will do. Episode four specifically involved the LAPD, which
I think the LAPD detectives pushed to find out what happened.

I started that one and got depressed in the first
episode and was like, people depressed me.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
But I did her good things about like it's an
one of those unbelievable reality, unbelievably real show.

Well, it's funny because this is coming off HBO's documentary
show about neighbors called Neighbors that people are watching right
and now it's more neighbor horror stories.

that when the first season came out.

Dutton Ranch is the spin off or spin off from
Yellowstone and it is really surprisingly well done. And I
didn't think I was gonna like any of it, and
they've they've pulled it out. And then the Agency Michael
Fassbender CIA agent kind of goes a little bit rogue.

Richard gear is his boss. It's very I will I'm
not saying it's the most exciting show, but it is
a good spy thriller.

Are you current on The Agency?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
I just tried to Mark. You're bringing up a sore
spot here. I just tried to convince my wife last
night that we should sit down and watch the second
season of The Agency.
Speaker 6 (21:18):
I've seen the second season. It's terrific. And the French
show that it's based on almost like lift and paste
called The Bureau, which is French for the bureaus.

It's even better.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
And I really I think Paramount has that it ran
five seasons, and the toughest part about watching The Agency
is you gotta wait to see the rest of it.
We only get three or two of the five seasons
so far.

Yeah, I agree, my second to snore.

Nominations for the seventy eighth Annual Primetime Emmy Awards announced
this morning in La the final season of HBO's Hacked,
setting a new record for the most nominations in a
single year. For comedy series, it was a good show.
It was a good season, twenty four nominations, topping the
record of twenty three set by The Bear and The
Studio last year.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I feel like they kind of ran into a wall
with The Bear, kept putting it in the comedy category. Yeah,
that fifth season of The Bear dropped last week or
the week before we started watching that.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Why wouldn't be Why wouldn't it be In the drama, that'sramatic.
It's a dramatic series.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I do not know. And those first three episodes of
this season are there's nothing funny, There's no it's not
it was. In fact, it was a disappointing. I'll say that.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
So for dramas, here are your nominated series. The Diplomat,
The Gilded Age. I love that show. A Night of
the Seven Kingdoms, I've heard that's great paradise, the Pit
Pluribus and slow Horses, and and your Friends and Neighbors.

You never made it through the second season of Friends
and Neighbors.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
I haven't. I may revisit it.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
I was kind of feeling a little fatigued from it,
but I might dive back into that.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
I did take it picked up towards the end, I
do not again. It feels like that they've tried to
get into this trope of the a formula of you
got to give it four episodes. Why if you can't
write something up front that gives me a reason to
continue to watch it. I agree, don't make me waste
my time. The actors you would understand, lead actress and

actors of course, are from those shows. The only one
that's really different would be Chase Infinity from The Testaments,
but comedy series Abbot, Elementary, the Bear Hacks, Margo's Got Money, Troubles.
Nobody wants this, only murders in the building. Wow, Shrinking
and then Widow's Better.

I thought nobody wants this was better the first season
very much. So Shrinking is great. Shrinking is like a
nice comfy blanket to get into. And that's one of
that I wouldn't say it was outstanding. It's one of
those winner. It's easy. It's an easy thing, yeah, to
get into. Time wise, it's you know, thirty five, thirty
(24:26):
seven minutes or something like that.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
But it's also it's not so heavy.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
It's feel good if you feel good at the end.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
You also mentioned this earlier Sugar on Apple. You mentioned
something else you were talking about Actual Sugar, But Sugar
is a no show that's also out on season two
is out on Apple TV with Colin Farrell as a
how should we put it? A detective? He's a private
detective with an interesting origin story. I'll just leave it

at that second season is out. It's too artistic two
or two.

Because we watch these limited series and these TV movies
right now all the time, they are all her faults.
We saw that one, the Beast in Me Yep, Beef, DTF,
Saint Louis, the Jason Bateman vehicle and love Story, JFK Junior,
and Carolyn Bissett. Those were all well I didn't see
(25:23):
Beef when I saw the rest of them, all very
well done.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I heard about Beef since this is the second season
that I've heard it's great. Suffers the same fate of
other shows in that the sophomore season can be it's
hard to live up to a great original show.

And then the movies we all watch now on these
streaming services. These are the nominees Heads of State on Prime,
Miss You Love You on HBO, Max, people we Meet
on Vacation Netflix, remarkably bright creatures, on Netflix and Tom
Clancy's Jack Ryan Ghost War on Prime. I only think
I saw one of those remarkably bright creatures because I

read the book and I adored the book as well
as the movie, and Sally Field should win for that.

Jack Ryan Ghost War is the other one I saw.
I saw Your Octopus movie as well, but Jack Ryan
was good. Except it's still Jim from the Office exactly.
That's hard to get.

You, guys, what you watch On Wednesday. I've been catching
up on the HBO show for the new Larry David
show called Larry in the Pursuit of Unhappiness. It's a
it's a great show. Yeah, it's it's very much in
the vein of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's basically Curb Your
Enthusiasm and a historical context.

It's great.

Yeah, you have to be in the mood for Larry David,
but not as much in the mood as you were

tone and chaotic energy. It's known for its intense pacing

I don't know if you guys have talked about DTF
Saint Louis with Jason Bateman, but it's another one. It
is like a mind blowing train wreck. Yes, I highly
recommend it, and if you do watch them, I can't
wait to hear what you said what you say about
those shows.

I watched it and I liked that show because I
would come up with my own idea of what was
happening and then they would completely throw it out the window,
which I think it makes it clever and fun.

Yeah, it was one of those where you could never
nail down there's I mean, there's kind of a built
in mystery about what's going on the whole time, and
it for a long time. That sort of that question
of what exactly is going on? Is what brings you
back for the next episode, like maybe they'll fill in
a little bit more of the details. But it was

it was such a unique The relationship at the middle
of it was such a unique thing. And I can't
you can't really say too much without giving it away.
But they all did really well, the main characters in
that like main actors. They like a really good job. So,
all right, the Monks and Meryl show is coming up now.
