and it is Prime Day, or the first of several
Prime Days at Amazon. So we do this every year.

Best tips for vetting? Are there really good deals?

Tell me yeah, So good morning to you, Bill, And yes,
I feel like we talk about Prime Day once a year.
They usually do like one Prime Day and now it's
like one other like Big Sale Day or something. And
if you notice, this year, Prime Day is a lot earlier.
Typically it's in July. They pushed it. They pushed a
little bit this year, or brought it forward, whatever you

want to call it. It's running today through Friday. So
my advice is the standard every year. Number one, don't
just buy. I don't just go to the website and
look for things to buy, because if you do that,
you'll waste money. So if you have a list of things,
look around your house, think about the upcoming birthdays and
holidays and the stuff that you actually need or after replace,

and that's the kind of stuff that you should be
buying during these four days because pretty much every company
is offering some sort of deal. Not everything's on sale,
but a lot of things are. And so that's my
number one tip is to you know well already, look
in your save for later lists, see if there's any
discounts there. Look for your buy again. You can go
to Amazon dot com slash buy again. That'll show you

all the things you've purchased. And then, of course this year,
look at the price history. Amazon has expanded their price
history to give you one year of information. And so
what I like to do is you tap the little
price history icon or link next to the price, and
then this will bring up their AI tool, which is
now called Alexa for Shopping, and you can say, give

me the best two prices this product has been over
the past year, and if the current price is lower
than that, then hey or similar, then it's a good
time to buy now.

I want to compare Amazon to Temu, because when you're
talking about household items or things that are not insanely expensive,
you go on Timu and you're going to get, of
course bombarded with ads for every Chinese restaurant within half
a mile. But your thoughts of using that Chinese based Amazon,
if you will.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I don't recommend it typically because I mean, look, people
do it. I think that you know, there was a
Heyday for Timu. I mean in a lot of the
products you see on Amazon, yes they originate from China,
but I just feel like you can, you know, Amazon
is a much more kind of recognized brand. And also
you can't discount the return policy and the ease of returns.

I don't think you can drop off a Timu return.
Maybe you can, I don't know, I've never used it,
but you know Amazon, you can drop off your returns
at a Whole Foods or a UPS store and they
will take anything. I returned a pair of sneakers that
I wore for a couple of days. They didn't fit right,
and no problem, they you know, took them right back
and gave me my entire money back. So I think

Amazon has just nailed it when it comes to customer service.
When I was researching the products that I recommend for
Prime Day, which by the way, you can find on

huge Prime Day gift you know, shopping guide to explain
all the stuff I just talked about Plus, I've linked
up everything that I do recommend, and while I was
researching that, I noticed so many of the products Now

on Amazon you can pay an extra five dollars and
they'll deliver them to within three hours, which is just wild.
I'm not personally paying anymore for shipping, but you know,
it's nice to have that option.

So I'm going to use it and then when I
leave KFI, I'm going to sell it to them for

Yeah, okay, moving on, it's a Prime Day, and let's
let's do it some of the the great, good, big
items that Rich has put on his website regarding Prime Day.
So let's do it Rich.

Yeah, and I love Prime Day because things actually do
go on sale. But again, like I said, always do
a price check. If you're feeling the pressure to buy
something and you're like not sure, check the price. If
it's something that's like, you know, five dollars off or
not even a real price discount, don't worry about it.
But if it's something that you actually need, like a
pair of headphones, like a new TV, like a new laptop,

any sort of tech accessory like a portable charger, a
lot of these things are on sale right now. I've
got them listed on my website rich on tech dot TV,
and I went through and I put the stuff that
I actually like and recommend, and a lot of it
I have tested and used personally, or I've had experts
on my radio show recommend it, so I know that
it's going to be a quality piece of equipment. So

a couple of things that I really like today. Number one,
you've got this. Laptops are very expensive right now, we
know that for sure, but you can get some pretty
good deals on laptops. So one in particular that I
really like is called the Asus Vivo Book, and you
can get that right now for under four hundred dollars
three hundred and fifty nine dollars for a laptop fifteen inches.

I like that one a sert They've got one that's
a fifteen inch laptop as well, for two hundred and
ninety six dollars. I did like this twenty twenty four
MacBook M three. It was eight hundred dollars. Right now,
it's out of stock because clearly that has sold out already,
so people are buying those TVs. You can get a
one a fifty inch TV for one hundred and forty

nine dollars. That is incredible when they mentioned it. A
guest mentioned this on my radio show this weekend. It
was three hundred dollars. Now it's one hundred and fifty dollars,
so there's a real big discount. Samsung. If you want
an Android tablet, you can get the Samsung tablet for
one hundred and seventy dollars. A dash cam that I
like one hundred and four dollars if you want to
keep tabs on things. My favorite portable charger it's the

Anchor mag Goo Power Bank. It has an Apple Watch
charger built in, so one less cable to carry when
you travel. It's typically like eighty bucks. It's on sale
for fifty today. I carry that thing every single place
I go. If you don't need an Apple Watch charger,
you just need a standard charger for your phone. I
love this Belkan portable charger that'll charge your phone a

couple of times. Twenty dollars today on Prime Day. And
the list just goes on and on. Bill I've got
so many picks on my website.

How do prices on just say you for example, TVs
Prime Day app Abazon price versus let's say going to Costco.
Compare the two, I.

Would say, okay, so I'm looking at this TCL fifty
five inch TV. It's highly rated q M seven K.
It is four hundred and ninety eight dollars. That is
the cheapest price in an entire year. The cheapest price
for this TV before that was about six hundred dollars,
So you're talking still one hundred dollars less than the

cheapest price on this TV for the past year. So
I think today particularly, it'd be tough to find a
better deal at Costco. Although you know a lot of
these other retailers like Target, Best Buy, Walmart, they have
their own competing sales, so no matter what, it's probably
a good time to buy. In general. The tough thing
about Costco is that in this they did this for years.

They typically would change the model number just a little
bit on TVs. So if you're inside Costco and you're
googling that model number to try to figure out the
price where it is everywhere else, it's really tough to
do because they might have added like one extra keyword
or one extra character or something to it.

Yeah, okay, AI Powered Serie about that. We only have
a couple of minutes.

Yeah, yeah, no problem. So I've been using the new
version of iOS twenty seven. Do not do what I did,
which is install it on your primary device. But you know,
I'm a nerd, I'm a tester, I'm a tinkerer, and
so I put the developer beta. That means there are
so many bugs on this thing. Half the time I
do something on my phone, there's an error. So don't

do this, But I do it for you to test
it out. And I'm telling you, the new AI SII
is absolutely incredible.

I actually feel sorry for chatgybt no joke, because so
many people now are going to default to Siri to
do all the little things they used to be doing
on chatgybt, which is like, ask these silly questions now
instead of thinking that series not gonna be able to
answer it. Not only can she answer it, she understands
what's on your screen, what's in your email, what's in

your messages, what's in everything on your phone, your photos?
And it is really good. So when this comes out
later this year in September, people are going to say, Apple,
you did it again. You actually delivered it took you
longer than everyone else, but you finally did it, and
Sirie AI is going to be incredible?

Now is that automatic? I have Siri? I use Siri
when this comes out? Do I have to download anything?
Or just becomes part of what I have?

Depending on your phone, phone most the best experience you're
