Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty the Bill Handles
show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Good morning, everybody,
And you think we have a couple of things to
talk about every day, every day gets crazier and crazier.
Where Epstein is now off the front burner, Greenland is

(00:23):
now off the front burner. You've got Venezuela off the
front burner. And now we move on to the front burner,
if you will, the case. What happened yesterday, this shooting
in Minneapolis. So we've got a fair amount to talk
about this morning as usual. First of all, Oliver is

(00:44):
here on the board. He is in for He's in
for Kono. Got a text from Kno this morning saying
I've had it. I'm done. I quit. I can't take
the show anymore. And I can understand that. It's uh,
you know, it's happened before on this show where people

(01:06):
had just said, you know, I'm done. Usually it's not
driving on the way in when they quit, but today
that was the case. So anyway, Oliver, a welcome aboard.
You look like you're about to fall asleep by the way.
Your eyes are droopy, and unless you have that medical
condition where your eyes are droopy.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I might just I don't know. It's tough at this time.
I don't know how ConA does it. I don't know
how you will do it.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well, you don't have to worry about Cono anymore because
he'll tell you how he does it. He doesn't. By
the way, I'm actually not very serious about this. People
will and he's he had.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Some car trouble right yeah, yeah, his car started to
break down the right here.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It done broke, so it's over.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
So he called from the side of the freeway, saying
I'm not going to make it.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Oh, he's just I can't make it at all today
because he's.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
No his car is now.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, I'm just glaud that it was. He yes, Oh,
I would have loved it if you weren't here. Oh,
that would have been spectacular. Boy, that would be saying
a lot you do overnights here.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Or I'm training with Kono currently, but I've been on
the sidelines and so this is my first time actually
running the board for your show.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Exciting. What are you By the way, that accent is
hold on, it's not British, it's not New Zealand, it's
not Australian or maybe it is which one is.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
It's one of the kind. It's British, but I grew
up in Holland, so it's it's a.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Mess, got it, got it, all right. I have a
partner or had a partner, And she was born in
Great Britain, moved to South Africa for a period of time,
finished university in South Africa, went back to England in
to law school. And she had an accent that was

(03:04):
somewhere in the mid Atlantic. You could not at all
pegg it so so much for that, Okay, fair enough,
all right? Now Amy, good morning, Hi.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Bill, how are you?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, I'm okay, I'm okay. And Ann is there? Hello, Hello,
and wearing her Chargers outfit, Aim Amy wearing or California
just the state of California.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Right, supporting California today, eighteen.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Fifty right, okay, what else? Who else there? Neil is
not there? And we get well, we're going to do
a show anyway with what the heck? Yeah, what the heck?
I mean we have to and no will you know
we get paid? Oh hit, that's right, and no will Yeah,
he's out. What does he do? Does he do? Traffic

(03:51):
over the Fiesta Bowl. No.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
You know how when you watch football games. Yeah, and
at the when they leave or when they come back
after commercial, you see the overhead view you know that
from the sky of the stadium. Yeah, well, there's a
plane flying over the stadiums that photographs that or videotapes that.
And that is what Will does.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
He physically videotapes it.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Got a camera.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
He's a camera person. Yeah, a cameraman so to speak.
All right, fair enough, Well, we are certainly going to
cover what happened yesterday in Minneapolis and just a few
blocks less than a mile away from the shooting of
George Floyd several years ago Minneapolis is Boy, has that

(04:40):
gotten the attention of the rest of the country. Okay,
let's do it. It's time for handle on the news.
Amy Neil is not here. He's back next week and
me lead story.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Been around for long long.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Music connects. What am I missing here? Oliver? You have
to explain that to me.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I I'm just I'm just forget a slug.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I like, just for now, just okay, just all right,
just okay. I mean, by the way, I'm not not
giving you too much grief because I understand they just
threw you into this, but little I'm just gonna you
know what was that about? Okay, fair enough, because I
always harassed Kono for that sort of thing. All right.
So the lead story, of course, is what happened yesterday
when an Ice officer killed this Minneapolis woman. It was

(05:29):
during the latest immigration crackdown, and men are there is
there controversy there because you look at the video from
many different angles, and there are it can't be the
same person and the same incident. It can't why because

(05:49):
one group of people say, look at that she was
trying to get away, the other group of people saying,
look at that she was trying to hit the officer.
So she's at an suv, she is blocking the road,
partially blocking the road, and during this demonstration, and a
couple of Ice Policeman officers are in a pickup truck

(06:14):
drive up to her and you see her with another
car waving the other car through. There was enough space
to get through, it looks like. And then you see
the two Ice officials coming up to her, one grabbing
the handle of the car and I understand that it

(06:36):
was the window was down, and then she is she
backs up and then starts moving forward. There was an
officer near that. Now whether the argument here is was
she gunning for that officer or was she trying to
get away from that officer? Looking at it, it looks

(06:57):
to me. And by the way, this is a question
of interpretation, because in the end it'll be an investigation
and quite possibly a jury's going to have to make
the determination. It looked to me like she was trying
to get away. And but I will tell you that.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
An officer was standing in her way.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
That's I not even know vehicle, and she was if
you look at the way, yes, but if you look
at the way she was turning the wheel and trying
to move in a direction, well, again it's a question
of interpretation. Was she gunning for the cop? It didn't
look like it to me, or was it?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Did he just happen to be there?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Well, he was there, I mean, because they were moving
towards the car. There were no cops there, There were
no officers there. I mean, they went ahead and moved
towards her, and then the shots rang out, and of
course it was you know, the whole thing blew up
and it has since then. And the well, I tell you,
the most interesting part of This is Christy Nome, who

(07:54):
immediately a Department of she's the czar of Department of
Homeland Security. She's running and so she immediately got on
the air, I mean literally within a couple of hours
and said that the cops were justified that this woman
tried to run the police officer over, attempted to kill

(08:17):
the police officer, that she was a professional agitator. You know,
I didn't think there was anything a professional agitator or
she talked about professional agitators that were there. I didn't think.
You know, where do you go? I actually looked it
up amy a professional agitator. There is such a thing.
Charles State Northridge. Yeah, offers a degree in agitation. They

(08:40):
do not, and it's certified. You can be. And if
you go to Indeed, look under the word agitation and
you will see people saying professional certified agitator will work
by the hour, half day, full day, reasonable prices for agitation.
I could do that, No, but you're not certified. That's problem.

(09:03):
You don't have my certification. By the way, there's a certificate,
there's a certification, and then there's a degree. And I
think you may be able to get a graduate degree
in agitation. I don't know. I love it. Yeah, that's
your professional agitator. It's interesting how she can label her
that without knowing anything about the I know they made that,

(09:25):
instead of saying, hey, we have to do an investigation. Uh.
Even those that are on the other side of the
coin who say it looks like this, but we have
to investigate it.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
I think both sides came out too quickly.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I agree, but let me give you the other side,
and they are they ended if we ended it with
we have to do an investigation. Christin Homes said nothing
about investigation. The decision was made self defense. It's over.
Are we going to see the FBI even investigate this?
I don't even know. I would hope, I think there.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Tom Holman said he wants to see an investigation.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, I would.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Well, Tom Homan works for Christino.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
So and he said, let's do an investigation.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Right, and we'll see which way it goes. As I said,
I hope that there's an investigation. Truly, it's interesting how
she can label her that without knowing anything about the sea.
I know they made that instead of saying, hey, we
have to do an investigation. Even those that are on

(10:26):
the other side of the coin, who say it looks
like this, but we have to investigate it.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
I think both sides came out too quickly.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
I agree, but let me give you the other side,
and they they ended if we ended it with we
have to do an investigation. Christinome said nothing about investigation.
The decision was made self defense. It's over. Are we
going to see the FBI even investigate this? I don't
even know.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
I would hope, I think there. Tom Holman said he
wants to see an investigation.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, I would. Uh. Well, Tom Homan works for Christino.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
So and he said, let's do an investigation, right.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
And we'll see which way it goes. As I said,
I hope that there's an investigation. Truly. I'll tell you
the most controversial part of this I'm going to cover
that at seven o'clock, of course, was that stetson that
Christinam was wearing that cowboy hat when she was in
front of the cameras. You didn't like that, you know,

(11:22):
I thought that was a little bit strange for the
head of a cabinet secretary to be wearing a I'd
rather I'd rather see a football helmet. Frankly, when doing
one of those press conferences. All right, moving on more

(11:44):
handle on the news with Amy and Me.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
The US continues to pull back. Trump administration says is
going to withdraw from dozens of international organizations, announcing yesterday
that they would be suspending support for sixty six organizations
following the administration's review of participation in and funding for
international organizations, including those affiliated with the UN. Many of

(12:12):
those UN related agencies, commissions, and advisory panels focus on climate, labor, migration,
and other issues. The administration is categorized as catering to
diversity and woke initiatives.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Right, So this is a double hit. Not only is
it a question of woke, it's also a continuation of
the president's philosophy of non intervention. We don't want to
get involved in foreign organizations or foreign wars except when
we do. But this is part and parcel, and there's
no surprise here. I mean it would if it's perfectly

(12:49):
logical if you look at where the Trump administration is going.
So I don't know why people are shocked this is happening.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Marco's going to make the case to take Greenland. The
Secretary of State, Marco Rubio is going to meet with
leaders of Denmark next week. The US Secretary of State
told reporters that President Trump retains the option to address
his objective of taking control of Greenland by military means,

(13:18):
but he says still, as a diplomat, which is what
I am now and what we work on, we always
prefer to settle it in different ways.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Now this is dumb. It is on the administration's part.
This makes no sense. Denmark is our Greenland, and Denmark
Denmark owning Greenland, that Greenland is a basically territory of
Denmark is one of the staunchest American allies. There has
never been an issue where America didn't want a base
that it couldn't get will Greenland will give the United

(13:49):
States virtually everything at once, and had thirty one bases
there and US shut down thirty of them. There's this
thing about owning Greenland. It belongs to us. We want
to annex it that people are having a hard time with,
and here it goes. Denmark has said we're not for sale.
That's the other thing is I think Rubio's going in

(14:09):
the end, We're gonna buy Denmark. We're gonna buy Greenland
from Denmark. No, it's not for sale. How much you
charge for that anyway? And then the issue of can
you imagine an invasion of Greenland? Fifty six thousand people
live in Greenland and what kind of a force do
you bring to overrun Greenland? Now? How big is their army?

(14:34):
Eight hundred? I don't know, two thousand. This is absolutely fascinating.
By the way, we have bought territories before. Did you
know that? It's not as the United States has not
bought pieces of property. Alaska was bought. A check was
written to Russia for Alaska that was seven and a
half million dollars. Fifteen million dollars paid for the Louisiana

(14:58):
purchase in eighteen oh five.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Who do we buy that from?

Speaker 1 (15:01):
France? And the Napoleon sold it to the United States? Coulse,
you needed the money. He was involved in all the wars,
and you know what are they going to do at
that point? And it doubled the land mass of the
US at that time. Both bought so there's some precedent here.
The problem is people have to want to sell it.

(15:22):
Russia wanted to sell Alaska. France wanted to sell that
area of the Louisiana where the Louisiana purchased and it
went all the way up was a Texas at that point.
I don't even know the parameters there, but it was huge,
double the land mass. Okay, moving on.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Flipping the food pyramid, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior
has announced new dietary guidelines focused on promoting whole foods, proteins,
and healthy fats. At a news conference yesterday, he said,
eat real food. The administration unveiled its new food pyramid
has red meat, cheese, vegetables, fruits all up at the top,
and grains down at the bottom.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yep. Although you know, I believe in this because I
eat a lot of burritos frozen burritos, and grains are
part of the burrito wrapping, you know, the tortilla part
and meat inside. So I'm a big fan of this.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
I think the big push was to not do as
many processed foods and sugars and that kind of stuff.
That's what they talked about a lot.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, I know, I just ignored that part.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Because you like the sugar and the processed foods.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Oh how do you live without sugar and process foods?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Okay? There you go. A rather unexpected turn of events.
Nick Reiner, the son of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle,
who were murdered last month at their home in Brentwood,
was supposed to be a rain yesterday, and so they
go to court and then his high profile criminal defense lawyer,
Alan Jackson said, I'm out. He has taken himself off

(16:57):
the case. He said he had no choice but to
step down of counsel of record, and then outside the
courthouse after the hearing, Jackson said his team wished Nick
Rener the very very best moving forward and insisted that
his former client in the state of California is not
guilty if murdered. So he's got a public defender now instead.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
What does that tell you that he has public defender,
Because in order to get a public defender, you have
to be destitute, you have to have no money. And
so clearly the way I look at it, there wasn't
enough money to pay him. I mean guys like Alan
Jackson who are known now These are seven eight, nine
hundred dollars an hour lawyers, and it takes and the

(17:42):
retainers are enormous. So he's gone and he doesn't say why.
By the way, he doesn't have to say because the
client isn't paying, he goes your honor. We just have
a conflict and I no longer am able to represent
my client. And the judge says, okay, you're gone.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Well we know that. Well we don't know, no, But
I would guess that Nick Rener doesn't have any money,
but the Rob Reiners estate probably does, so maybe the
kids put the stop to paying him. Speculation, speculation, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
And whether he had access to the money at all,
which my guess is no. And who has access to
that money, Well, it'd probably be someone in an accounting
firm or the rest of the family, or there had
to be a trust that it will written. In any case,
we'll probably find out a whole lot more about that.
Is this thing pans out continuing with more handle on
the news, Amy Neil is not here back on Monday and.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Me, Yeah, Russia is not happy with us. The US
military seized a Russian flagged oil tanker in the North
Atlantic yesterday. The ship, called the below One, was boarded
by US forces in a joint operation with the UK's
military around seven am Eastern time. It was sailing under
a Russian flag in international waters between Scotland and Iceland.

(18:59):
Russia's Transport ministry said no state has the right to
use force against vessels duly registered in the jurisdiction of
other states. This apparently had Venezuelan oil on it.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Yeah, now this gets kind of interesting because it wasn't
a Russian ship. It became a Russian ship after it
was being chased by the United States primarily. And this
is sanctioned oil. I mean straight out there. It is
under international and certainly American sanctions. So this is what
is this number three that the US has picked up

(19:34):
in terms of the tankers I believe oil. Yeah, so, yeah,
we'll see. I mean, there's not a whole lot of
I don't think there is a whole big argument that
Russia has. But you know there's the flag. They painted
the Russian flag on the side of the boat. You
know that out came the paint rushing. They just got
out the cans and that's exactly what they doubt, that's

(19:56):
exactly what they did.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
More kids in class. The University of California has enrolled
a record number of Californians. For the fall of twenty
twenty five, more than three hundred one thousand students went
to one of UC's ten campuses. In the fall, that's
the largest number in history, an increase year over year
of sixteen hundred and eighty six students and continuing a

(20:23):
long term trend, new female undergrads outnumbered the males twenty
eight thousand, three hundred and one to twenty two thousand
and seven forty seven.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
And blacks and Native Americans gone down.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
I wonder why that is.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
You know, it can argue cultural. I mean, I don't
think you know, oh hey there's a Native American gone.
I don't think that's the case. But I think it's
pretty complicated stuff. It has to do with socioeconomic issues,
it has to do with cultural issues. It's you know,
we don't have the time to deal with it here.
You know, growing up, for example, if you're growing up

(21:00):
and a white family that has money and you've had tutors,
you have a much bigger better chance of getting into
a good school than if you come up from the
inner city and you're working at fourteen, and you know,
you don't see your mom because she's there, or your
dad's not around, your mom's working three jobs. You come
from different places, not just one issue.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Yeah, because the number of Latino, Native, Hawaiian and Pacific
Islander students was also up. Well, California is losing millions,
hundreds of millions. The state was set to revoke seventeen
thousand commercial driver licenses issued to immigrants by January fifth,

(21:42):
but instead the state extended that deadline because there's a
threat of a civil class action lawsuit by immigrant rights groups.
So they said, now, we're not going to do it
by Monday. Well, the federal government said, yeah, do it
by Monday, and they didn't. And because California missed that deadline,
federal officials have announced that they're withholding one hundred and
sixty million dollars in transportation funds to the state, you know.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
And I have a question about this because where do
the Feds get jurisdiction on this. I mean, if I
remember back in law school, you know, under the Commerce Clause,
they can do anything they want. But the only argument
is truck drivers go over state lines, therefore we control
and so I guess that works. But this is a
typical I mean, you're going to see this fight continuing

(22:26):
on and on and on during this or any Republican
administration versus California. That is the poster child of the
national infighting, and so no surprise there at absolutely none.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Potholes are popping up all over La. After days of
heavy rain comes the potholes opening up across the city.
Number of drivers have reported what they're calling sudden impacts,
including a guy named Giuseppe de Morey. He said he
was driving to the farmers market Friday night. He heard
a loud thump, blew out a tire and his rim.

(23:01):
He said, he hit a pothole. Didn't see it. It
was dark, the roadway's black, it's black at night. Street
is black, and he hit it. And these repairs are
a bit spendy, like for fixing the tires three hundred
and two about one thousand dollars. Oh yeah, ending all
the rim and everything.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, suspension. Now, when I owned the Persian Palace, I
never had to worry about potholes, and because well, first
of all, there was one major street going into my
neighborhood and that's the one that got potted up. And
within literally forty minutes after the rain stopped, they fixed
the potholes.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Why they are pretty quick about getting them, especially see them.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Especially in my neighborhood. Because the council person who represented
the district was in my neighborhood. And let me tell
you how quickly potholes are repaired.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Uh, maybe a solution in sight. A bipartisan coalition in
the House is voted to push forward measure to revive
and enhanced pandemic eras subsidy that lowered health insurance costs
for about twenty two million people in America. The vote
was two twenty one to two h five. It was

(24:14):
a key test before the bill gets passed, which is
expected to happen today. Four GOP lawmakers joined with the
Democrats to sign that discharge petition. They did that last month.
That's going to force the vote. The four who joined
in with the Democrats said doing nothing is not an
option as many of their constituents are facing soaring health

(24:35):
insurance premiums.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah. Now, the speaker can stop a vote from going
to the floor straight out. I'm not going to bring
a vote on the floor. It's got that power. That's
what the discharge petition is about, is to go around
the speaker very rarely as it used. And Mike Johnson
is fighting this thing. Crazy. There are You've got most

(24:57):
of the Republicans are against the situation of the subsidies.
And I have not yet heard about the increase of
insurance rates. I don't know. They are up, and they're
up dramatically, but I haven't seen the pushback yet of
these rates because it was I'm.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
Wondering if that's because people haven't gotten their bills yet.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
I think that may be because when people get their bills,
and also they're looking at their health insurance and the
premiums have tripled or doubled. Yeah, and the Republics are
going to get nailed on this if they don't allow
they're going to allow the extension for a period of time.
I can't imagine they wouldn't. But you know, I've been
wrong before, like every day, like most of the time
when I opened my.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Mouth, Oliver, did you get that on tape?

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Yeah? And okay, yeah, and certainly when I broadcast Handle
on the Law Head.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Into the Hills to find a new candidate for mayor.
Reality star Spencer Pratt, who used to be on the Hills,
has launched a campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. He
made the announcement yesterday at the let Us Burn Rally
or they Let Us Burn Rally in Pacific Palisades on
the anniversary of the wildfire that destroyed his home.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
I don't know who he is, and I don't know
the television show.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Well he's He's actually been on with h I think
with John a couple of times. Pretty interesting guy. But
he just said he's fed up with everything that's happened
since the fires. Again, he lost his home and he
wants he wants to see change. He says he's going
to be Mayorbess's worst nightmare.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Okay, I hope, So, I don't care who it is.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Uh, Mike Tariko is going to be super, super busy.
His network, NBC has the broadcast rights to two of
the biggest events on the sports calendar, and he's going
to have major roles in both. He is going to
be hosted the Super Bowl and Olympic coverage on the

(27:04):
same day, Sunday, February eighth.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Now, how do you do that?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I don't know. But he's going to be doing play
by play at the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, and
then once the game is over and the Lombardi Trophy
is presented, he's gonna shift into Olympics mode and Hope
hosts the prime time in Milan from the field because
that's when the Winter Olympics get underway.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Oh okay, so he's obviously not going to make it
to Milan in time to host it.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
No, he does such a good job.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Guys, he's a great broadcaster. I like him a lot,
and he's really good.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Oh, it's Girl Scout cookie time. Apparently this year there's
a new flavor called Explore Moores, a Rocky Road ice
cream inspired cookie sandwich filled with chocolate, marshmallow and toasted
all my cream.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Actually sounds good. Sound It could be coyingly sweet. It
could be way too sweet, but I think it may
sound good if they unsweetened it for a bit, right
or bring it down.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Yeah, I do love a good thin mint. So these
locals Girl Scouts are going to start taking orders. It
says Tuesday, and is that last Tuesday. In person delivery
and booth scale sales are scheduled to start on February first,
so you'll be seeing them outside the grocery store.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
You know, there used to be boxes sold at KFI.
A few people would you know, have girls and would
sell boxes. Now i'd buy them from KFI.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
I wouldn't unless the kid came.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
In Oh, Okay, I never thought of it.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
I know that the parents did it because there was
there's a lot of pressure on the kids to sell those.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Cookies, huge pressure.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
And I always said, if you come in, bring the
kid in and have them sell the cookies to me,
because that was part of the d is. They were
learning how to communicate and learning how to sale. I'd
buy all of them.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
I don't want to brag, yes, but I was top
cookie sales girl in my troop.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
I don't doubt that for a second hand.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Wow, So would you sholl that thin mint's smoans? Those
are very bigs.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Oh but yeah, no, I sold a ton.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
I have a patch to prove it. Do you still
have it? Oh? Yeah? And did your daughter Danica do
girl Scouts? And she did brownies and that was it
and she was done. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Well, I get brownies when I was a cup scalp,
but not in quite the same way that. Let's just
move on, okay.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
Preservation can be deadly. Common preservatives used to keep food
safe and extend shelf life maybe linked to a higher
risk of several cancers and type two diabetes. According to
new studies from France. These are preservatives found in French

(30:02):
and European markets, but also in the US. That's scary.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Well, everything gives you cancer. Everything. The only thing that
doesn't give you cancer, it seems, is cancer. Other than that,
everything you eat, drink, participate in bathe in is cancer, causing.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Astronauts Mike Finkey and Zena Cardman going to have to
wait a little longer to step outside the space station.
They were scheduled to do a six and a half
hour spacewalk to take photos and do some projects outside
the International Space Station today. It would have been the
first operation outside the space station this year, but that

(30:44):
got scrapped. Apparently somebody on board has a medical condition.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
I'm telling you, when we find out what it is,
I'm willing to bet that is fear of heights that
this astronaut is going to get nailed with. They don't
tell us what it is. People throw up a lot.
You know what is about half the people get.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
The on the space station?

Speaker 1 (31:09):
They do yeah, I mean yeah, when they go, there's
a huge number that gets sick. There's a space a
weightless sickness they have. I think it's called weightless sickness.
Technical yes, yes, I think we're done guys. Yep, that's it.
We are finished. Coming up of course, the story that
happened yesterday, and that was the ICE agent shooting fatally

(31:34):
shooting a woman at a at an event, if you will.
It was an ICE immigration raid and she was there
and she either was someone who went after an ICE agent,
tried to kill him, run him over, or someone who
was in a cit and tried to drive away. And
we'll talk about what happened. You've been listening to The
