I've had two of those people in my life. When
when I first took Lindsay to Italy, and she had
never been, She's always wanted to go. She studied opera,
as matter of fact, she was operatic studies. Her voice
is just insane, it's like beyond comprehension good. And she

had rented a place in Florence twenty something years ago
to live and study opera in Italy, where of course
opera is at is the King of the Hill there.
And she couldn't go because she had some heart problems.
I had to have a surgery and so she never went.
So she was desperate to go. And when we went
for the first time, she literally we got off the plane,

we jumped into a taxi to go to the hotel.
As we're driving to the hotel, she's looking around and saying,
this is home, this is home. It's one of those
weird you know, Kumbaia moments where I don't know, it's
just sort of.

She felt a connection to the land.

No, she felt that she was Italian.

And the same thing happened with Marjorie Maya first where
we went to Greece and she said this is home.

Thursday morning with Heather Brooker and Me Late story. Well,
the US and Iran both have a very different interpretation
of what a cease fire is. They've been attacking each
other for a couple of days, traded air attacks second

straight day, and President Trump has vowed further strikes if
Tehran does not immediately agree to a peace deal. He
has been saying for the last couple of weeks. We're
right there, We're on the precipice. They desperately want a deal.
They're going to come to the table. Otherwise they're going
to blow them up. While they don't come to the table.
Trump does not blow them up, and he is wedding
(07:01):
the uh. He's getting the fact that Iran slow paces everything.
The Obama deal, which he uh completely well, he removed
us from took two years to negotiate, and there Iran
just slow walks it. And Trump, who is not the
most patient guy in the world, is saying, Okay, you
(07:22):
don't come to the table, I'm gonna bomb you into
non existence. We're gonna I'm gonna make you a I'm
gonna make the entire country a parking lot. Well, the
reality is he's threatened that, he's threatened that, he's threatened that,
and at some point, you know, when he actually can't
go to war, he can bomb the crap out of
Iran over and over again. And I'm gonna talk more

about that little later on. The problem is is not
so much him bombing the infrastructure and the United States
at risk. It's Iran will start bombing in a great
sense its neighbors, the Gulf States, and I guess.

This morning he said that tonight there's gonna be very
very powerful bombing. Yeah, Iran, and he's going to take
that carg Island. He keeps saying, yes.

It's then it becomes a full blown conflict where the
Golf States are going to get it. And that's a problem.
So he can't put boots on the ground, God, God
help on me. He actually has an invasion with American troops.

Can't do that. The risk is, I said, with the
Golf States.

So you make any enemy of the Golf States and
it just changes everything around far more than he wanted to.

Okay, moving on, all right, So remember that chemical that
crisis of the chemical spill, or the threat of the
chemical spill from a tank at GK and Aerospace and
Garden Grove a few weeks ago. Is over Memorial Day weekend. Well, yesterday,
federal agents led by the FBI and the us EPA,
they performed a search warrant and they went in and

they grabbed a bunch of records and materials. It's we
don't know exactly what they were looking for or what
they have learned since, but we know that they went
in and they took a bunch of They took a
bunch of stuff from this company to try to figure
out I guess what's going on or what caused this crisis.

Yeah, the assumption is going that I make and I
don't think I'm wrong on this. If they're going to
find all kinds of violations of safety rules all over
the place, and because of the intensity, because of the
magnitude of this things, they're going to find a lot
of stuff.

World Cup is starting today. The first match will be
between Mexico and South Africa in Mexico City. LA's first
match will be tomorrow between the US and Paraguay and
this tournament will last for five weeks in three host
countries of course, the US, Mexico and Canada and the

train myself to say match will be on July nineteenth.

gonna do a story about the World Cup, a different
kind of story has to do with food. And then

is our team successfully sucking relative to other countries? And

as loud as I could to scare the deer who

first half, but they had one of the biggest comebacks
in somewhere saying with some of the biggest comebacks in
NBA history.

The Spurs dominated the first half, but then the Knicks
came back in the second half and they won their
fourth game in the NBA Finals one oh seven to
one O.

Six, twenty nine point deficit and came back. I han't
been done before. Has that ever been done?

No, it's the greatest comeback in history. Yeah, in NBA history.

ConA watched, You watched, I did, and the Knicks held
the Spurs to third points in the all of the
second half. It was It was incredible, and it came
down to the last shot, which is always fun. It
came down to the very last second of the game.

So let's talk about the Palisades Fire of Jonathan render Kanesh,
which we've now learned apparently that we've all been saying
his name wrong. We've been saying render necked by. One
of our writers said that it's actually render kinesh. Apparently
he was in court yesterday and federal prosecutors say that
he intentionally said that New Year's Day Lockman fire, and

that's the small blaze that allegedly smoldered underground and reunited
a week later as the Palisades fire. But his defense
says there's no accelerant that was found, no witnesses, nobody
who can identify him at the scene or as the
cause of this, and he has made no confession.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
What makes this trial particularly interesting is that there is
no direct evidence. As the defense attorney said, what the
prosecution is basing the case on is that no one
else could have done it if you look at where
he was, if you look at the totality of the circumstance,

it's a question of exclusion.

It's much like DNA testing.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
DNA testing doesn't prove you are a parent or a
related it's an exclusion. In other words, ninety nine point
nine nine nine percent of the population cannot be related,
therefore you are. And much the same is here is
there's no other way. There's no other reason that that

fire began, but for him doing it, so it is
really circumstantial. And the and then the argument is that
the fire he started was actually a week before, even
if they convict him of that, it was a week before,
and then it smoldered for a week and then it
exploded into the Palisades fire. So the argument's going to

be it's the fault of the fire department and they
should have put it out. Very interesting in our trial,
he's going down by.

The way, Yeah, he's going to get blamed for oh yeah,
oh yeah, absolutely, somebody has to so yeah.

Thousands of property owners who lost their homes in the
Palisades fire are now suing the city of la But
one has caught everyone's attention. Among the plaintiffs is the
brother of Mayor Karen Bass. His name is Kenneth D. Bass,
and he is part of the big legal action that
is targeting the State of California, the LADWP and other entities.

He lost his Malibu property there says it was a
total burned down and he suffered smoke inhalation and emotional distress.

I wonder I haven't read the lawsuit if he is
actually suing Karen Bass, because some lawsuits are doing exactly that,
saying she didn't come back in time, and she did
not do what she should have done. It wasn't a
timely decision. She was in Ghana right after she promised
never to leave Los Angeles during her tenure as mayor

and was slow in coming back even though she was warned.

Yeah, well, she says in response to or her team,
I guess said in response to the lawsuit that there's
nothing new here. Mayor bas has spoken of her brother's
loss publicly since January of twenty twenty five, and there
are thousands of people, thousands of plaintiffs in this action.

So yeah, so what doesn't mean he's not suing her?
All right? She did.

She did refer to him specifically when she was asked
at a press conference, and from what I understand, she
grabbed your crotch and said, bite me.

The Trump administration is asking a federal judge to reject
the attempt by two Virginia residents to stop this UFC
fight on the south lawn of the White House. They're
saying that the date is too close. They've been planning
this for the past year, and they're saying this event
needs to move forward. There's sixty million dollars that have
already been spent, thousands of spectators are on their way,

and they're saying they're blaming the people who are filing
the lawsuits, saying that they believe they have superior taste
and want to spoil the event for everybody else.

Yeah, the administration is not only right on this one,
but I don't know how it's going to lose because
the plaintiffs had a year to demand that the proper
permits be taken, and the defense is, yeah, it took
you a year. Also, there's something called standing. You have
to actually be damaged by the whatever activity is being made.

And they're saying, here's our damage, Our view of the
Washington Monument and the mall is being obstructed, therefore this
should not go forward, and you didn't get the proper permits. Well,
the part Works Department has in fact lowered the level
of permits for events like this, so you know what

are they doing.

It's just a frivolous lawsuit.

And this is that our tax dollars defending something that's
absolutely stupid, and this.

to defend this crap. These guys should be nailed for
a frivolous lawsuit and sanctioned big time.

All right, speaking of the UFC, this big event, the
fighters are going to have a news conference tomorrow at
the Lincoln Memorial, and this is again causing another rift
between administration and locals there as well as tourists. Apparently
all of the staging and lights and all the things

they have set up for this news conference are blocking
the view and obstructing the view along the National Mall
of the Lincoln Memorial. People are complaining that they're coming
to visit and they can't see it.

And yeah, that's true, but that's not enough to although,
come on the press conference in front of the Lincoln Memorial,
I mean, come on, really yeah, So yeah, you're gonna
see these stonemaces chipping away at Lincoln's statue and getting
rid of the clothes that he's wearing and he'll be
bare chested.

getting ready for this big UFC fight outside the White
House on his birthday, as you said, his family is
getting behind twelve thousand dollars gold coins that people can
buy to help promote the fight card. So people, so
the president's sons Eric and Donald Junior, and the multi

billion dollar mixed martial arts company have well, they've partnered
to sell a collection of Freedom two fifty silver and
gold coins branded with a president's face on it.

If you want to fire one hundred and fifty dollars

Now, the Trump organization are not specifically involved, they're just
backing up and promoting the company that's doing this. I
think it's UFC directly, yes, that is selling these twelve

So the president has seen twenty two medical specialists and
the White House isn't saying why. Specialist on his latest
checkup said that, well, this is actually nearly double the
number of specialists who assessed Trump for his past checkups
while he was president. And you know, of course, he
famously said and is after his last checkup that he

was fine, everything was great, he passed all the tests.

Yeah, and twenty two sets specialists, half of which said
he is the fittest president who have we've ever had
the history of United States. The other half said he
is the fittest person that has existed in the United States,
if not the world.

Here of the two young boys that were killed in
Westlake Village by Rebecca Grossman. In twenty twenty, they had
been awarded almost two hundred million dollars by a jury
after this nine week trial. Of course, this is involving

the eleven year old an eight year old that were
killed Mark and Jacob Iskandor when she was speeding through
Westlake Village and hit them with her car. She was
also there with former Dodger pitcher Eric or excuse me,
Scott Erickson.

Yeah, and the jury found that they were speeding basically
is what they are doing.

There is some kind of a race now.

Last week reported that one hundred and seventy six million
dollars in compensatory damages, and I said the punitives side

happen next week. And it just came down and it

I think she's gonna lose everything she has. Yeah, she's
probably have to going to go bankrupt on it.

San Berdadino homeowner says a county sheriff entered his backyard
without a warrant and shot and killed one of his dogs.

was not just a pet, she was part of the family.

didn't leave and return about two minutes later when the

had rented a place in Florence twenty something years ago
to live and study opera in Italy, where of course
opera is at is the King of the Hill there.
And she couldn't go because she had some heart problems.
I had to have a surgery and so she never went.
So she was desperate to go. And when we went
for the first time, she literally we got off the plane,

we jumped into a taxi to go to the hotel.
As we're driving to the hotel, she's looking around and saying,
this is home, this is home. It's one of those
weird you know, Kumbaia moments where I don't know, it's
just sort of.

She felt a connection to the land.

No, she felt that she was Italian.

And the same thing happened with Marjorie Maya first where
we went to Greece and she said this is home.

the US and Iran both have a very different interpretation
of what a cease fire is. They've been attacking each
other for a couple of days, traded air attacks second

straight day, and President Trump has vowed further strikes if
Tehran does not immediately agree to a peace deal. He
has been saying for the last couple of weeks. We're
right there, We're on the precipice. They desperately want a deal.
They're going to come to the table. Otherwise they're going
to blow them up. While they don't come to the table.
Trump does not blow them up, and he is wedding

the uh. He's getting the fact that Iran slow paces everything.
The Obama deal, which he uh completely well, he removed
us from took two years to negotiate, and there Iran
just slow walks it. And Trump, who is not the
most patient guy in the world, is saying, Okay, you

don't come to the table, I'm gonna bomb you into
non existence. We're gonna I'm gonna make you a I'm
gonna make the entire country a parking lot. Well, the
reality is he's threatened that, he's threatened that, he's threatened that,
and at some point, you know, when he actually can't
go to war, he can bomb the crap out of
Iran over and over again. And I'm gonna talk more

about that little later on. The problem is is not
so much him bombing the infrastructure and the United States
at risk. It's Iran will start bombing in a great
sense its neighbors, the Gulf States, and I guess.

This morning he said that tonight there's gonna be very
very powerful bombing. Yeah, Iran, and he's going to take
that carg Island. He keeps saying, yes.

It's then it becomes a full blown conflict where the

So he can't put boots on the ground, God, God
help on me. He actually has an invasion with American troops.

So you make any enemy of the Golf States and

federal agents led by the FBI and the us EPA,
they performed a search warrant and they went in and

they grabbed a bunch of records and materials. It's we
don't know exactly what they were looking for or what
they have learned since, but we know that they went
in and they took a bunch of They took a
bunch of stuff from this company to try to figure
out I guess what's going on or what caused this crisis.

don't think I'm wrong on this. If they're going to
find all kinds of violations of safety rules all over
the place, and because of the intensity, because of the
magnitude of this things, they're going to find a lot

came back in the second half and they won their

So let's talk about the Palisades Fire of Jonathan render Kanesh,
which we've now learned apparently that we've all been saying
his name wrong. We've been saying render necked by. One
of our writers said that it's actually render kinesh. Apparently
he was in court yesterday and federal prosecutors say that
he intentionally said that New Year's Day Lockman fire, and

that's the small blaze that allegedly smoldered underground and reunited
a week later as the Palisades fire. But his defense
says there's no accelerant that was found, no witnesses, nobody
who can identify him at the scene or as the
cause of this, and he has made no confession.

What makes this trial particularly interesting is that there is
no direct evidence. As the defense attorney said, what the
prosecution is basing the case on is that no one
else could have done it if you look at where
he was, if you look at the totality of the circumstance,

it's a question of exclusion.

It's much like DNA testing.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
DNA testing doesn't prove you are a parent or a
related it's an exclusion. In other words, ninety nine point
nine nine nine percent of the population cannot be related,
therefore you are. And much the same is here is
there's no other way. There's no other reason that that

fire began, but for him doing it, so it is
really circumstantial. And the and then the argument is that
the fire he started was actually a week before, even
if they convict him of that, it was a week before,
and then it smoldered for a week and then it
exploded into the Palisades fire. So the argument's going to

be it's the fault of the fire department and they
should have put it out. Very interesting in our trial,
he's going down by.

Thousands of property owners who lost their homes in the
Palisades fire are now suing the city of la But
one has caught everyone's attention. Among the plaintiffs is the
brother of Mayor Karen Bass. His name is Kenneth D. Bass,
and he is part of the big legal action that
is targeting the State of California, the LADWP and other entities.

He lost his Malibu property there says it was a
total burned down and he suffered smoke inhalation and emotional distress.

I wonder I haven't read the lawsuit if he is
actually suing Karen Bass, because some lawsuits are doing exactly that,
saying she didn't come back in time, and she did
not do what she should have done. It wasn't a
timely decision. She was in Ghana right after she promised
never to leave Los Angeles during her tenure as mayor

and was slow in coming back even though she was warned.

Yeah, well, she says in response to or her team,
I guess said in response to the lawsuit that there's
nothing new here. Mayor bas has spoken of her brother's
loss publicly since January of twenty twenty five, and there
are thousands of people, thousands of plaintiffs in this action.

So yeah, so what doesn't mean he's not suing her?

She did refer to him specifically when she was asked
at a press conference, and from what I understand, she
grabbed your crotch and said, bite me.

The Trump administration is asking a federal judge to reject
the attempt by two Virginia residents to stop this UFC
fight on the south lawn of the White House. They're
saying that the date is too close. They've been planning
this for the past year, and they're saying this event
needs to move forward. There's sixty million dollars that have
already been spent, thousands of spectators are on their way,

and they're saying they're blaming the people who are filing
the lawsuits, saying that they believe they have superior taste
and want to spoil the event for everybody else.

Yeah, the administration is not only right on this one,
but I don't know how it's going to lose because
the plaintiffs had a year to demand that the proper
permits be taken, and the defense is, yeah, it took
you a year. Also, there's something called standing. You have
to actually be damaged by the whatever activity is being made.

And they're saying, here's our damage, Our view of the
Washington Monument and the mall is being obstructed, therefore this
should not go forward, and you didn't get the proper permits. Well,
the part Works Department has in fact lowered the level
of permits for events like this, so you know what

It's just a frivolous lawsuit.

And this is that our tax dollars defending something that's
absolutely stupid, and this.

fighters are going to have a news conference tomorrow at
the Lincoln Memorial, and this is again causing another rift
between administration and locals there as well as tourists. Apparently
all of the staging and lights and all the things

they have set up for this news conference are blocking
the view and obstructing the view along the National Mall
of the Lincoln Memorial. People are complaining that they're coming
to visit and they can't see it.

And yeah, that's true, but that's not enough to although,
come on the press conference in front of the Lincoln Memorial,
I mean, come on, really yeah, So yeah, you're gonna
see these stonemaces chipping away at Lincoln's statue and getting

getting ready for this big UFC fight outside the White
House on his birthday, as you said, his family is
getting behind twelve thousand dollars gold coins that people can
buy to help promote the fight card. So people, so

billion dollar mixed martial arts company have well, they've partnered
to sell a collection of Freedom two fifty silver and
gold coins branded with a president's face on it.

Now, the Trump organization are not specifically involved, they're just
backing up and promoting the company that's doing this. I

So the president has seen twenty two medical specialists and
the White House isn't saying why. Specialist on his latest
checkup said that, well, this is actually nearly double the
number of specialists who assessed Trump for his past checkups

famously said and is after his last checkup that he

was fine, everything was great, he passed all the tests.

Yeah, and twenty two sets specialists, half of which said
he is the fittest president who have we've ever had
the history of United States. The other half said he
is the fittest person that has existed in the United States,

Here of the two young boys that were killed in
Westlake Village by Rebecca Grossman. In twenty twenty, they had
been awarded almost two hundred million dollars by a jury
after this nine week trial. Of course, this is involving

the eleven year old an eight year old that were
killed Mark and Jacob Iskandor when she was speeding through
Westlake Village and hit them with her car. She was
also there with former Dodger pitcher Eric or excuse me,
Scott Erickson.

San Berdadino homeowner says a county sheriff entered his backyard
without a warrant and shot and killed one of his dogs.

Surna, says that his rottweiler named Daisy. He's heartbroken. She
was not just a pet, she was part of the family.
It happened in May in unincorporated San Bernadou, and surveillance
video shows deputies walking up the driveway looking into the
backyard where another dog, Raven, was seen, and the deputies
didn't leave and return about two minutes later when the

rottweiler approach, video shows the deputy.

Pulling out his firearm and shooting the dog.

If you watch the video, he kicks the dog first.

The dog comes over, come on like with a wagging
kind of a tail, and he.

Yeah, he's still at work. Yeah, the sheriff.

I mean, not only should he be fired based on
this story, but he should also would be looking at
criminal charges cruelty to animals.

By the way, when I said the bankruptcy before, I
don't know if a grossman can file for bankruptcy based
on the fact that she's a convicted felon and the
she was I think convicted of the crime she was,
so she was okay, then maybe I stand corrected.

I love this story for Amy. I wish Amie was
here proposed Disneyland license plates. So apparently driver California drivers
can soon show their love for the happiest place on
Earth by picking out their own custom Disneyland license plates.
It needed seventy five hundred signatures to move forward, and
it got forty four thousand signatures. So everybody apparently wants

to show up.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
You have you Have you seen the license plate, the
mock up of the same. No, it's the what do
they call the area around it?

Now, I went to Disneyland for the first time in
thirty years with Amy. I loved every minute of it.
But you know it's still pricey.

Yeah, but you know the argument is you get a
lot for your money, and relative to other venues you do.

Okay, just a worthy the Disney fans and Disney people

Another thing that's worth it is one in an out burger.
And also Vegas, right, Michelle, Vegas is always well, oh yeah.
So there's a brand new in and out burger that
just opened on the Vegas Strip and it's an eight
thousand square foot in and out located across from the
Aria and Park MGM.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Now, knowing when you go to in and out, those
are pretty small places. They are maybe a couple thousand
square feet, maybe fifteen hundred square feet, And this is
a big one.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Two floors, yeah, seventy people.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
It can hold two hundred yeah, murders, and it's going
to be packed all the time.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yes, of course it is, of course it is, yes,
all right.

So if you didn't get your ticket to the Olympics,
there is a new ticket window opening up. The LA
twenty eight Olympic Window will open up August. This is
the second drop. It'll open up August tenth through the twentieth,
and it will be across all sports and price points.
Although a lot of those twenty eight dollars tickets that
they've been advertising and kept talking about have pretty much

all been snatched up for the events.

Okay, let's finish up with a prank of pranks that
not very pleasant, you know, not a cool.

Thing to do, all right, So two hundred doors across
the campus at Patrick Henry High School in San Diego
were glued shut last month during finals weeks. School police
have surveillance video of the suspect on campus, but haven't
been able to identify them. All these weeks later, some
keys still won't slide into the locks, and they're still
(28:03):
looking for the person responsible. It's cost the school over
seventy thousand dollars worth of property damage.

Yeah, that's no fun, all right? Coming up the new
