Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's camp I Am six forty and you're listening to
The Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app CAMF
I Am six forty. It is the Conway Show. Yeah,
ding dong. We are ready to roll everybody. It is
the weekend. We got a lot of great football games

(00:22):
coming up this weekend, four solid football games. We will
try to figure out who's gonna win, who's gonna lose.
But you know, the Rams have a really good shot.
The Rams have a much better team than Chicago, and
I have a feeling that they are going to win.

(00:43):
That we are going to watch the La Rams move on.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I heard they have the highest they're favored by the
third highest favor for a visiting team in the playoffs ever.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Is that right?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
That three and a half points they're favored by. Right,
that's the third highest amount that's for a visiting team
ever in the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Really, man, oh man, that's that's That's actually a good omen.
You know, when you're people are really betting a lot
of money on you, that that bodes well usually. All
night I was texting back and forth with Angel Martinez.
We're trying to figure out why the bicycle casino was

(01:23):
robbed or shut down. And it turns out that somebody
called in a bomb threat to the Bicycle casino. They
call it the Bike and it used to be like
a rundown casino and not really a safe joint. And
over the last ten years they they built a beautiful
hotel that's attached to it, and they really upgraded the casino.

(01:46):
So it's it's a really cool hang, but you can't
have that kind of reputation of bomb threats. But here's
the weird thing about it. And again, I was texting
Angel all night. We're trying to figure out who did this.
When they when they said to everybody in the casino,
you got to get out, there's a bomb threat. They
let every single person gather their chips, you know, they're

(02:07):
their dollar, five dollars, one hundred dollar chips, twenty five
dollar chips, and walk them to the cage, walk them
to the casino cashier and cash in and then leave.
So it couldn't have been that important because that probably
took forty minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Yeah, it's all.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Right, exactly. So here's what it is. A guy said
I want fifty grand or else I'm going to blow
the place up. Okay, that can only be two people.
Two people a guy who just recently lost like in
the last twenty four hours he got his ass kicked there,
or a guy that was recently fired from the bike.
Those are the only two guys that can be. You

(02:45):
can narrow that down and probably arrest some guy tomorrow
for that. But that's that's it. That's a wrap. I know,
the guys that go to these casinos and when they
lose a ton of money, they get pissed. They don't
get pissed at themselves for losing money. They get pissed
at the casino. And it's not the casino fault, it's yours.
You went in, You walked in there, you knew the

(03:05):
chances are, you know, not great that you could double
your money. You tried to double your money and it
didn't work out, And then they turn around they blame
the casino. So I know, let's get some more information
on this though, the bicycle casino. Where is that angel
off the seven to ten And what's the exit there?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Oh, Florence, Florence is the closest exit.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, all right, Florence.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
Here we go the bike chaotic scene here with law
enforcement police, just a little while ago sounding the all
clear after a reported bomb threat forced the evacuation of
the casino itself and the hotel. When's the last time
you heard that a casino being evacuated? Joe, get us
into the story. Will you looking right across Florence have
the sprawling complex, the casino, and then that tower the

(03:46):
hotel that stretches several stories up. All of that you
evacuated up top skyfowks alive.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Look, yeah, they took out. They took all the people
out of the hotel part of it too, So they
got to wake everybody up. If you're sleeping, if you're showering,
if you're you know, you just got to the room
and you're unpacking. Everybody's got to get out.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Slowly getting back to a normal now, the gamblers back inside,
the hotel, guests back inside after all being evacuated and
forced to stay outside for several hours.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
They got to find the guy that did this and
give me a pretty good swift kick in the ass,
because this can ruin a business if this happens two, three,
four times.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Because of that reported bomb threat.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Some video from SKYFOWKX from earlier when all of this
was going down it started a couple of hours ago.
Police rushing here because of that again creditable bomb threat,
order the casino itself to be evacuated, and then the
hotel to be evacuated. So you have hundreds, if not thousands,
the gamblers, the hotel guests, the workers.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I love that the gamblers take a shot there, just
in the tone.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
The gamblers.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
The gamblers. Oh my god, these sick, twisted mfors. That's
a great shot.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
The gamblers.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, the gamblers. He didn't say the you know, the sleepers, eaters,
you know, the worker outers. He didn't say that. He's
just took a shot at the gamblers. How disgusting. What
a group this is, the.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Gamblers, the hotel guests, the workers, the clerks, everybody outside
in the safe area of parking lot.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Well, SWAP moved in.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
They brought their two heavily armored bearcats, parked them right
in front of the casino entrances, the front doors, and
then you would see SWAP members heavily armed, going inside
conducting their search. Coming out a little while ago, proving
that it was not a warranted serious bomb threat. If
you will, some more video this shows the chaos. This
is from x and social media video. Look at the chaotics,

(05:34):
see outside, everybody rushing out.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Gamblers one moment.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Putting another one another shot gamblers. That's great, I gotta
but these two up. This guy takes a shot at
these gamblers.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Here it is the gamblers, the whole gamblers, one moment
putting some high sticks money and then out here. And
initially there was reports of a man with a gun
that turned out his law enforcement's been telling us about
that bomb threat that was called, and usually when that happens,
it has to be a creditible threat, something specific to
get this type of response.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
That apparently was the situation.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
And all of these folks inside now the gamblers back
inside Waging were with the gamblers inside now the gamblers
and gamblers.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Man, the gamblers take shot. Gamblers over at the Fox
eleven news man the gamblers, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
The gamblers, the whole gamblers, one moment putting some of
the gamblers back inside Waging and the hotel guests back
inside the several floors here at the casino and the
hotel itself.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Back out live the scene.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
And also when this was happening, there was a cigler
on the seven to ten the ramps right over here
as it runs right along the casino, Florin sad you
can see the traffic slowly starting to ease off to
the left. Over there is eastern half. This was all
jammed when all of this was happening. He had law
enforcement rushing in. But the scene has been cleared now,
everybody back inside. But I'll tell you, Christine, for several

(06:56):
hours here, it was a wild scene at casino. Imagine
that being under a full evacuation.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Wow. Yeah, that was a big deal. That was a
gnarly deal. And it was, you know, thank god it
wasn't raining or you know, snowing. You know, it was
nice weather so people could hang outside. But they were
outside for I think four or five hours. Who the gamblers,
these disgusting pigs, you know that wager part of their money.

(07:21):
The gamblers, the gamblers, the.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Gamblers, the whole gamblers. One moment putting some of the
gamblers back.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Gamblers. Man, the gamblers, they didn't break even well I
guess they could have. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
The gamblers, the whole gamblers, the gamblers.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
The gamblers. That's a great, great title for a show.
The gamblers, gamblers at all, the gamblers all right, that
is over the casinos open again and off to the races.
Bellio sent me a email today. She said she got
a message from somebody saying, if you buy chili at

(08:03):
Smart and Final and I'll give you the right the
exact name of it that it's this it's almost the
same chili that they make at Tommy's. And I'm like, oh,
I'm going, I'm going. I need a great bowl of chili.
And so I buzzed over to Smart and Final. I
found the Here it is. It's called Carnie Chili con

(08:30):
Carneie Chili con Carney, and it's made by r C
Brand Chili. R C Brand Chili. It's an eighty ounce tube.
It was frozen tube. Brought it home, defrosted it, heated
it up. It's in here now to be ready in
about an hour. And I'm telling you something that smells

(08:51):
exactly like the chilia Tommies.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
You know what that brand is that they sell in
the stores that comes in like a hard brick. I
gotta find out what that is because I see it
all the time in the grocery store.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
It's chili. Yeah, this came in a tube, but a
hard too. Yeah, that's what let me think about it.
You said that was frozen though, Yeah, it's frozen eighty
ounces and you had eighty ounces of water. So we
have a one hundred and sixty ounces at chili. We
might need some help. Steph fush, Steph foosh. Just you know,
for a welcome back party. This is it. I cut
up some fresh onions just for you, buddy, did you really?

(09:24):
I know you like your fresh onions. Yeah, it's fresh onions,
fresh cheese chili. And this company that does this RC
is it RC Meats or RC Chili, RC Brand Chili.
They're in Burbank. They make this chili in Burbank. So
it's fresh as hell. Oh my god. So we'll we'll
report back on how great it is. But my so,

(09:44):
I brought it home around one o'clock. Heated it up
in a crock pot, and my entire house now smells
like the inside of a Tommy's, the entire house. And
I don't know when that goes away or if it
goes away, but the entire house smells like a Tommy's,
which is great. I love that.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
So there are a couple of those like what you're
talking about that they actually call them chili bricks. Okay,
one is made by Dolores is one brand, and the
other one is that I keep seeing always in the
store is excellent, but it's just x L and T. Okay,
it's like red, white and blue packaging and it is
a brick, the same sort of what you're saying. But
I don't think it's frozen.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Well, I think this r C what is it called
RC brand chili. I think they make it in let
me look it up real quick, Burbank. I think they're
located in Burbank. Yeah. RC Brand in Burbank refers to
RC Provisions, a renowned specially meat producer famously famous for

(10:39):
supplying iconic Los Angeles delis and restaurants. They make the
meat for Langers, Canters, Brents, and Tommy's chili. So this
is great. If you're gonna have a Super Bowl party
or a football party or whatever big events coming up
and you want one hundred and eighty ounces or one
hundred and six the ounces of great chili, you can

(11:02):
go to Smart and Final and pick this up. It's
only twenty dollars and ninety six cents for more chili
than you could ever eat. And this is great. This
company was founded in nineteen fifty eight RC Provisions in Burbank,
and man, I never knew it was in Burbank. I
never knew anything about this company.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Were Their website has like video of them like preparing
the meats because they also make a lot of meats
and stuff in the chili as well.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
It looks so good. But if you're making it for Langers,
Brents and Canters. Those are the three premier delis in La. Yeah,
what happened.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I'm looking at the I'm looking at the website right now,
and it has a picture of that tube. It's a
five pound check and you can see all the ingredients
there too. The ingredients look great. There's like you can
read and understand every single word.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Let's see where they are located here. They're off the
five Freeway and Burbank Boulevard. Oh, I know exactly what
it's right next to, right near Costco. It's across the
street from Costco and and that's where they make all
this chili. That's really cool. There's a firing range there too,
the gun range. You can go shoot some guns, eat
some chili, go to Costco, get yourself and give me
a fire. You'll be home by seven point thirty.

Speaker 6 (12:10):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
All right, everybody always is contemplating earthquake insurance. Do you
get it? Do you not get it? We have it
because I'm a lunatic and I'm over insured in almost
everything I do. And it's probably not very smart, but
I just do it anyway. But let's find out what
you need to know because the big one's coming. They say,

(12:40):
the big one is coming. And what you will not
hear anybody say in Los Angeles, or in San Francisco,
or in Central California when the big one hits, nobody
in this state will say, hey, is this a big one?
That will not be said? Who are we talking to?
Lucy Jones? And she said, it'll be two minutes, one

(13:05):
hundred and twenty seconds of the most radical shaking you've
ever felt in your life, two solid minutes. And she
said those two minutes will seem like a month. While
you're shaking, Crap's gonna be falling on you. Cars are
gonna be driving off the road, gas stations are gonna

(13:26):
be exploding. You've got to be aware of this, and
she gave us a great tip. She said, the one
thing that everyone's gonna need after the shaking stops water.
All the water mains in Los Angeles will be broken,
all of them. There'll be no water. So make sure
you have I don't know, maybe ten, fifteen, twenty or

(13:48):
thirty gallons. Have you got room for that of water
to bathe in, to drink, to boil. You've got to
make sure you have plenty of water in your garage
and that will be worth its weight in gold when
the earthquake hits, because according to Lucy Jones, there's not
gonna be any running water in LA for six to

(14:09):
eight months, and you can't go six months without water.
So go to the store, grab some water. You'll feel
better about sleeping at night. Let's find out about insurance
though earthquake insurance.

Speaker 7 (14:21):
There is a ninety nine percent chance that an earthquake
of a magnitude six point seven or higher will strike
the state, according to the California Earthquake.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Authority, ninety nine percent.

Speaker 7 (14:33):
There are two ways you can get coverage, through the
state and through private companies.

Speaker 8 (14:38):
How expensive is earthquake insurance? I think a lot of
people just think it's really expensive.

Speaker 9 (14:42):
It depends on the home.

Speaker 10 (14:43):
It depends on when it was built, it depends on
where it is, It depends on factors.

Speaker 9 (14:48):
Also if the house is bolted or not.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
So, yeah, we pay twenty five hundred dollars a year
for earthquake insurance.

Speaker 10 (14:55):
So all of these things go into the big machine, right,
and they come up with that rate.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
Insurance expert cross Us says, the amount you pay is
largely determined by the size of your deductible.

Speaker 9 (15:04):
So just give me a ballpark.

Speaker 8 (15:06):
You have just a regular ranch style home in the valley,
three bedrooms, two baths, What could be a plausible premium
that people are paying with what kind of deductible?

Speaker 10 (15:16):
Depending on when the home is built, it might be
somewhere around fifteen hundred two thousand dollars. It might have
a ten or fifteen percent deductible.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, that deductible is going to kill you. Fifteen percent deductible.
So if you have a million dollar home, and most
homes of that size in the valley are close to
a million, if you have a million dollar home, you
have to pay the first one hundred and fifty thousand
dollars worth of damage.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
So for an eight hundred thousand dollars house, your deductible
would be between eighty and one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
That's right, that's right, And that's a lot of money.
Because when you have a million dollar house, it doesn't
cost a million dollars to put it back together. The
property is worth a lot. But to build an eight
hundred thousand dollars house may cost two hundred thousand somewhere
around there, you know, maybe three.

Speaker 7 (15:59):
Which seems to scare a lot of people away.

Speaker 9 (16:02):
I've heard people.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
Before say, you know, if there was that big of
a quake that I met my deductible and my house
is gone, there's going to be so much damage that
no one's going to be able to rebuild. The insurance
companies aren't going to be able to pay everybody. Everybody's
just going to look to FEMA anyway for loans. So
why am I paying this every month?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
That's a great comment, great comment. Let's find out the
answer to that.

Speaker 9 (16:22):
What do you say to.

Speaker 10 (16:22):
That, Well, we've seen larger losses from fire than earthquake,
that's for sure, and when that happens, there is money
to pay.

Speaker 9 (16:30):
I mean, carriers have spread their.

Speaker 10 (16:31):
Risk enough where they're able to pay for their claims.
Even State Farm last year, with all their financial woes,
was able to step up and pay the claims that
they needed to pay from the wildfire.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
Assessment says, if you really want coverage but think you
can't afford it, you do have options.

Speaker 10 (16:46):
You can purchase your earthquake insurance a la carte. You
can decide how much for the structure, how much for
your personal property, how much for you to move out.
All of those things are within your control, so you
really can make it affordable.

Speaker 9 (16:57):
If you take a little bit of time to check.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
There you go, all right, earthquake insurance. I'd look into it,
you know, maybe maybe put that money aside. I don't know,
but everybody, you know, we're all just sort of waiting
for the stupid big one. And when they say ninety
nine percent chance, I don't like those numbers at all.

Speaker 6 (17:15):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM sixty.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Megan the Trainer Elly. We could try to get her
on I haven't tried. I think she lives in the valley,
doesn't she because she think she's a valley girl. I
think I don't know I think, yeah, she would be great.
Maybe she likes chili. Who knows. But here's an email
is listening and to you describing Tommy's and what makes

(17:43):
you love the chili here, and then he goes on
to talk about this company that makes the chili and
his name is Steve. So I want to give Steve
a huge shout out for turning us on to Tommy's chili.
You can buy in Smart and Final and it's really unbelievable.
We have enough for an army. I didn't realize that

(18:05):
we were getting that much of it, but we've got it.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Did you bring an ink to go containers?

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I did not? Yeah I didn't. Yeah. I heard Petros
and Money making fun of our space video. They're making
fun of me, you know, using my soft voice because
I was outside at twelve third I don't wake the
neighbors up, so I was using my my soft voice,
and they're making fun of that. But you want what
they were not making fun of the fact that that

(18:32):
video got two million, seven hundred and twenty two thousand views.
Isn't that right?

Speaker 9 (18:39):
One?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
It was at one point what was the number on
that bellot and two seven, two million, seven hundred and
twenty two thousand people saw that video. Two hundred and
seven forty six. Okay, sweet fancy Moses. What's the total
number belly on two two.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Million, one hundred and forty six.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Right, okay, so two point seventy five almost two million,
seven hundred and fifty thousand people saw that video. That
is sensational, That is great, and that's all Bellio. She's
a genius at social media, she really is, and not

(19:23):
really recognized here at the company for her, uh you know,
for her skill in producing all these hits, but she
does it. She knocks it out. So I thank you
for that.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Bellio, thank you for doing it.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yeah, well that's true. Without me, there'd be nothing. But
I mean you about that, well okay, yeah, I could
have gone out there as I'd like to see that,
but but we have. Bellio really kicked ass. Our social
media is is the best in almost like the best
in the company, but certainly the best on KFI. So

(19:58):
thank you for that, Bellio. Now that means a you know,
thank you, but the company does care about that stuff, and.

Speaker 11 (20:06):
No, it is very important nowadays.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah, social media. Speaking of social media parents and lawmakers,
yes they're right, they're having they're they're sort of examining
the impact of technology on American kids, and there's a
lot of kids that are bailing and not scrolling as
much as they used to. And that's a great trend.

(20:29):
I think that's fantastic.

Speaker 12 (20:30):
You're fourteen, you don't have a phone, you don't have
social media.

Speaker 13 (20:35):
And I actually couldn't be happier because what I've experienced
is an amazing childhood without having to use any of
these products that have been advertised as making childhood better.

Speaker 14 (20:46):
Laura Durindinger is raising her two teenagers Agne's and olive
yate the old fashion What are the names? Anne's and
olive yate.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
An ye's and olive nyer. Those are the kids' names.

Speaker 14 (20:58):
He is an olive yeate the old fashioned way. No
junk food, no soda, and no screens.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Oh what a childhood?

Speaker 9 (21:07):
Man?

Speaker 14 (21:07):
It sounds like, oh, no junk food, no soda, and
no screams.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
What are these kids doing then? Just staring at each other.

Speaker 8 (21:14):
I've been called a little counter cultural, but I'd like
to just push back and say these are health harming products, smartphones,
social media, video games.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
I think she's right. I think that kid's right. She's
very smart for being fourteen. I think there are a
lot of relationships that have been torn up by social media.
Many many, more have been lost to social media than
have been gained. Many, many, many many.

Speaker 14 (21:38):
On average, teens in the United States spend more than
eight hours a day on screens. Stopping kids from binging
social media is something parents, lawmakers, and experts can agree on.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
You know, that's true. A friend of mine runs a
company in the valley. It's one of those I don't
even know what he does. It's an AI company. It's
in the computer business. And I went over to visit
him last week and he was having a company meeting,
so I just sort of sat there and watched. And
he has fifty employees, and while he was speaking to
all fifty of his employees, at least half of those
kids that were working there, and they're all in their twenties,

(22:11):
they were all not paying attention to what he was saying.
They were all scrolling on their phones. And that didn't
seem to bother anybody but me. You know, if you're
in a meeting, you know, like Bellio and Krozer and Stephush,
you know this an angel. We occasionally have meetings here
where everybody in iHeart is invited and sometimes it's mandatory.

(22:32):
And if half the people are scrolling while you know
Paul Corvino's talking, I think he'd get pissed. But this
guy didn't get pissed at all. He just said that's
pretty normal kids do.

Speaker 15 (22:43):
Then, gen Z is the first generation of modern history
to underperform us on basically every cognitive measure we have,
from basic attention to memory, to literacy, to numeracy to
executive functioning to even general IQ, even though they go
to more school.

Speaker 9 (22:57):
Than we did.

Speaker 14 (22:57):
It's why eleven states restrict minor from using social media,
eighteen states and DC banned cell phone use in schools,
and Australia is the first and only country to ban
social media for kids under sixteen.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Wow, is that right? In Austelia you can't get into
social media until you're sixteen.

Speaker 14 (23:16):
But that's not the case nationwide. In the US.

Speaker 13 (23:19):
My generation is enslaved by the depression they are caused,
the anxiety, they are caused the harm that is being
caused to them by their devices.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Yeah, she's onto something. I think you should be a
little lowlder before you get into social media.

Speaker 14 (23:32):
Lawmakers have introduced dozens of bills designed to protect kids
online and limit screen time, but no meaningful legislation has passed.
It's why this morning Senator Ted Cruz conven to hearing
examining the impact of technology on American kids.

Speaker 16 (23:48):
The senators that are engaged on this issue and care
about it, all of us are about the same age.
We all have kids that are either in grade school
or high school. But we're dealing with these pressures at home.
Any parent at home, the kid who has a phone,
is dealing with it, is struggling, needs more tools.

Speaker 14 (24:05):
It's stemmed from his own experience.

Speaker 12 (24:07):
How does Senator Cruz get his daughters to not use
their phone there?

Speaker 4 (24:12):
He has me what day it was?

Speaker 9 (24:13):
You know.

Speaker 16 (24:13):
To be honest, I would say I'm an abject failure
in that they're fifteen and seventeen and it is uh yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
They're on their phones all day and all night.

Speaker 9 (24:21):
We are battling.

Speaker 16 (24:22):
Now, we do have different rules we impose, so we
actually have note no phones at the dinner table, which
which can be tough there they're sometimes extracted involuntarily.

Speaker 14 (24:31):
Peer pressure at times the most difficult thing for parents
to overcome.

Speaker 12 (24:35):
Do either of you ever feel like you're missing out
on something, not at all.

Speaker 13 (24:40):
No, After what I've observed of how my peers use
it and what it has done to them, I could
not meet more glad to not have social media.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
There you go, two smart kids. Smart kids. We'll see
what social media, what the effect is in twenty years. Well,
we'll see. But that generation, this new generation, is behind
in every measurable level, every level.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Your daughter's just a little bit younger than mine, and
I'm curious when she got to that age, Like when
did you feel like you needed to give her a
phone in school?

Speaker 1 (25:14):
I think she was fourteen, Oh that late, Yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
That's probably maybe a little bit before that when it
was kind of like okay, yeah, here's here's one for sid.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yeah I think it was fourteen.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah, it was like.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Five years prior or something like that. Yeah, So it
was like, it's interesting to watch that dynamic. You still
held out a while.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
I did. But I don't know that that number is true.
I mean that it could have been fourteen, it could
have been nine. I don't know. Because of the track
A lot of my wife did a lot of that crap.
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (25:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (25:47):
Do what you need baby, that gots it back.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Yeah, I'll make the money. You guys figure out the
households cell phone. That's right. I'll do my job, you
do yours. All right, we're live on KFI. We'll come
back and talk sports we have. I think Adam Austlin
is gonna be with us, right, is that right, Bellion?
He does the Clippers and he's great at sports. We'll
try to break down some of these football games and
see if we can give you the edge.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
This week, you're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand
from KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
We'll talk to Adam here. He's still working. He's a
Clippers guy and so they're still working there. But we
also have at the top of the hour, Barbara Holiday
is coming on. I don't know if that name rings
a bell. It certainly probably does for Jay Leno. She
owns Flappers in Burbank, owns the comedy club in Burbank, Flappers,

(26:42):
and that is a really cool deal. So we'll talk
to her about it.

Speaker 11 (26:47):
I think she's.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Talking about franchising. Flappers owns it outright. They've been there
for sixteen years, and in Burbank there's not really a
lot to do at night, So unless you're at Flappers
or AMC and restaurants in downtown. That is about a
rap on Burbick. So we'll do that at five o'clock.

(27:09):
And then we also have Ronnie Marmo. They're doing a show.
I'm not a comedian. I'm Lenny Bruce. The show is
written and starring Ronnie Marmo. And that's this weekend at
the Lamarada Theater. So let's talk some sports here with

(27:29):
Adam Austlin. How you Bob Let's I think it's that
button over there.

Speaker 9 (27:36):
With you.

Speaker 11 (27:37):
Man, Hey, I did not mean to ghost you or
leave you on red by the way I gave you
my number last week, or like hey come on on Friday.
I never saw the text.

Speaker 9 (27:45):
You know.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I put your number in and it kept saying it's busy,
it's busy, it's busy for like three days.

Speaker 11 (27:52):
Well that is the block signal sometimes when you're trying
to go somebody. But that is not what I was doing.
I swear to you, I'm here now it's going to be.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
But I did not only did I put it in
and I and I punched the number, and I can
prove that to you.

Speaker 11 (28:06):
I'm gonna need evidence here.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
I will tell you that it kept saying busy, busy, busy,
busy busy.

Speaker 11 (28:14):
Well, let me just give it on the air.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah yeah, yeah, So I put it in eight times
and it kept saying busy, busy.

Speaker 17 (28:24):
Busy this day times. Yeah, we'll figure that out. We'll
try one more time. Okay, that's what it did. Oh,
you got the last four wrong. The last number, there's
a two there.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Okay, my fault. Then all right, let's talk football. We
have Rams coming up, Rams Bears. I think the Rams
are a much better team.

Speaker 11 (28:47):
Well they're minus four. Vegas thinks so too. Everybody kind
of got down on the Rams at the very end
of the season because they had a couple of bad losses.
First of all, they lost to my Panthers before they
beat them in the playoffs, which again kind of the
origin story of me coming on today. Is Tim Conway Junior.
Last Saturday, I'm doing the Clippers game in the other

(29:08):
room and he opens the door and goes, let's go
rev limiting gone, And I'm sitting here like I'm wearing
a Panthers hat.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Tim, you don't have to rub it in.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
They're doing their show last weekend, and I got so
excited that the Rams scored with two minutes and or No,
it's like thirty eight seconds.

Speaker 11 (29:27):
Left the pastor Parkinson.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Yeah, and then and then I busted. I go, Raps,
touch on, he goes, I'm a Panther fan.

Speaker 11 (29:34):
You a they're putting the Himalayan saw the loom over here.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
I knew that ten and a half was too many points. Yeah,
you were right.

Speaker 11 (29:41):
Look, everybody started to get down on the Rams because
of what happened at the end of the season. They
lost to Seattle. That's not a terrible loss. The Carolina
Panthers loss and the loss on Monday Night Football to
the Atlanta Atlanta Falcons got them a little bit off
the scent of this is the best team in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Sure, but the.

Speaker 11 (29:58):
Sharps, the odds makers still know the La Rams could
easily come out of the NFC and they could still
win the Super Bowl. I think they have the best
coach in the league. I think they have the MVP.
I know Drake May has done great stuff for the
Patriots this season. They beat one team with a winning
record during the regular season. Matthew Stafford has played much
better competition, and on that final drive against Carolina last week,

(30:20):
he went six for seven before throwing that touchdown. So
there's a reason their minus four in Chicago, even though
the Bears had that miraculous comeback against the Packers, and
they've had a lot of those this season, so that's
the concern. They just feel like a team of destiny
the Chicago Bears for once.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Ever, I wouldn't be that pissed if the Bears won,
because outside the Rams, I do like the Bears. I'm
like a nineteen eighty five guy with the Bears. Bears,
let's talk about forty nine Ers Seahawks. Who do you
like there?

Speaker 11 (30:48):
I'm gonna go with Well, first of all, what is
this built in excuse that Sam Darnold is creating currently
that he's questionable for this game with an old leaks
injury like he was doing the app roller and somehow
got hurt. So this is a guy that has had
issues since he left USC in big game. Now, big
games for him. He didn't play many with the Jets,

(31:10):
but the last two years they lost that first round
game when he had that great record with the Vikings
to the Rams. So he's trying to get the eight
hundred pound gorilla off of his back in the playoffs
right now, and he's coming into the game with an
injury already. It feels like a built an excuse. I
kind of like the Niners. They overcome so many issues

(31:30):
with injuries station play though it is the twelfth man
is there, but they beat him there game one of
the regular season.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
All right, what do you think? By the way, did
you see that Fred Warner might be coming back?

Speaker 13 (31:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (31:41):
That's uh Maraki.

Speaker 11 (31:44):
He got some of that ray Lewis deer Antler spray
he used on himself in twenty twelve to make the
super All.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Right, let's talk guy Bill's Broncos. I love the Broncos.

Speaker 11 (31:53):
Yeah, Broncos at home or a problem. They have one
of the best defenses in the modern era, and they
will get after your took his out there. And as
great as Josh Allen is, this is probably not one
of his best Bills teams overall, on the offensive side,
with playmakers and guys to help him or with the defense.
It's just the Josh Allen show, right, And he was
good enough to be Jacksonville doing that with that final drive.

(32:15):
He was special there. But he has to be Superman
so often, and he's going to be under much more
duress going against this Broncos team in Denver. I'm with
you on that one.

Speaker 9 (32:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
But also I think that this might be their last
hurrah before they got to do a rebuild. You know,
they've been so close for four or five six years.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
Well, I think Sean McDermott, their head coach, is likely
going to be fired if they lose this game.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
I can't believe how many head coaches have had their
head cut off this year.

Speaker 11 (32:40):
The carousel has been extensive. Black Monday turned into Black
Week like it was crazy. It was brutal out there
just seeing how many guys were let go at once.
And by the way, John Harbas still hasn't made things
definitive with taking that Giants job. That's the report. But
you got to sign the docu sign or whatever it
is to make it. It hasn't happened yet, so we're

(33:01):
still waiting.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
All right, let's talk Texans Patriots. I think the Patriots
are gonna win.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (33:06):
I like Drake May enough to win this game because
the Texans are that BMVP. He probably will be. I
still think it should be Stafford maybe I'm biased, but
that game against the Chargers last week, he made one
incredible throw over three defenders for that late touchdown to
the left side into the end zone. That was incredible.
And he also has some maneuverability out there, and the

(33:28):
Texans defense is very good. But CJ. Stroud, you don't
know what you're getting weak to week with him.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Yeah, maybe he may. It looks like like Tom Brady
out there. Oh, I mean if.

Speaker 11 (33:36):
They go from Tom Brady to the next tom Brady
like talk about living a charm life with that four
leaf clover up their butter or whatever it's going on. Right, Well,
