Speaker 1 (00:15):
This is a segment guys on how ancient wisdom, the
wisdom of the Bible, meets modern technology, the technology of
bitcoin and cryptocurrency. And I have two guests, Jonathan Rose,
the CEO of block Trust Ira.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
He's our crypto man.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And we also have Pastor Alan Armstrong to talk a
little bit about a way in which.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Crypto now meets in interesting ways.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
You're about to discover the Bible, Jonathan, let me start
with you. Because cryptocurrency bitcoin, this is a bit of
a mystery to a lot of people. They know it's
the wave of the future. They know the benefits of bitcoin.
It's a currency that can't be duplicated, it can't be
added to. You can't change the number of bitcoin that's

(01:03):
programmed into the system.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
So it is a currency that holds its value over time.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
And yet people are like, I'm scared of this. I
don't quite know how to handle it. It all seems
a little arcane to me. You have a way for
people to solve that problem. Talk about what that way is.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yeah. Well, first of all, thank you Danesha having me
back on It's always a pleasure. Something you said at
the very beginning of that statement really stood out to me,
and that's people's having a little bit of an enigma
or learning about cryptocurrency, because you're right, it's so new,
and myself, I come from a banking background of works
on the London Method Exchange. Melo Lynch, Morgan Stanley, I

(01:46):
think we discussed this once together before and when I
was first introduced to cryptocurrency and I really started looking
at it in twenty fourteen, I was one of those
guilty parties that put my hand up and says, I
don't understand this. This does makes sense. This is going
to be a fad, especially coming from a financial trading
flo seeing equities, the bond markets, commodities being traded. But

(02:09):
as time grew and I saw the staying power and
then the economics behind crypto currency, it really did start
to fascinate me. And I knew back then that this
wasn't just going to be a fad, this was going
to be the future of money. Now. Obviously, fast forward
to today and when President Trump ran on his last campaign,
he was very vocal about making the crypto the US

(02:33):
central hub of the world. And I think he's done
an amazing job of this so far, but we still
have a long way to go. But one of the
biggest things I point out with crypto currency, particularly bitcoin,
is that we now have bitcoin being held in the
US Treasury just like we're holding gold, just like we're
holding other assets in there. Bitcoin is an asset that's

(02:56):
going to stay in the treasury and will continue to
grow and will be a crucial key and a crucial
tool for the US government to balance its books down
the road. But for the retail investor, they're thinking, well,
what does that mean for me? Should I still be
purchasing cryptocurrency? And my simple answer today is yes, but
first getting education, understand why bitcoin exists, Understand why it's

(03:20):
the future of money. Because when you look at the
US dollar thirty eight thirty nine trillion dollars in debt,
this juggernaut of debt is not going to end well.
And I always say debt does matter. So there's a
big shift that's happening right now. And the biggest clue
I would give to retail investors whether they should invest
in cryptocurrency is have a look at what the institutions

(03:42):
are doing. The institutional money is so these are big banks,
big corporations. You now have publicly treated companies taking their
cash reserves, not buying bonds or US treasures with it,
They're buying bitcoin and holding onto a bitcoin reserve. You
now have bitcoin being a global asset, globally recognized and adopted,

(04:04):
so much so that you have companies like black Rock,
Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch creating their own bitcoin ETDF. And
this is where it gets interesting because the institutional inflows
of this map tells us that this is now here
to stay. And as we hear these news stories pop
up Clarity Act and people are thinking, what is the

(04:24):
Clarity Act? And all these bills that are passing for cryptocurrency.
It's basically President Trump building the infrastructure, the foundations, the pillars,
the roof, and it's going to become an asset class.
There's not only going to stay, but because you mentioned
there's a fixed supply of it, only twenty one million
bitcoins will ever be created. You want to hold and

(04:45):
get hold of one of these tokens right now before
you can't even afford half a token. And I always
find that the best way to hold cryptocurrency is actually
inside a retirement account such as an IRA or four
to one K. I'm a big proponent of that, But
really why we have block Trust Diary is kind of
a helping hand, help people understand cryptocurrency, help them on board,

(05:08):
even if it's in a retirement account, and really denash.
What stands us apart from everyone else is our AI
technology where we help manage volatility in the market. So
right now we have the Middle East conflict, you can't say, well,
it's a conflict. And with this conflict, we've seen a
lot of pressure downward pressure on bitcoin and we are

(05:29):
sitting in cash and we wait for that volatility to
be over and then we will buy back in. And
Bitcoin has been a great lighthouse to show us how
the market's going to react, because Bitcoin reacts before the
stock market reacts. So right now we're in a bit
of a bearish market for cryptocurrency. That's fine. I'm a
long term holder that this is the time to be

(05:50):
adding it, do your retirement account and adding it in
a way where there's parameters and safeguards out there. So
when it's volatile, you step out, sit in cash, you
let that volatility run its course, and you buy back
in at the lower price. And the same could be
said when it tops out at the top. We see
that volatility coming, it's over overbought. We sell our clients out,

(06:13):
we keep them in cash, and we rinse and repeat
this product, and in doing so we beat the buy
and hold strategy. So, just as an example, in twenty
twenty five, bitcoin was down negative six and a half percent,
our customers were up twenty seven percent, just by using
very sophisticated AI. And I think that's really the main

(06:34):
difference is helping people not only understand how to onboard
of the cryptocurrency safely, but use this volatility. The volatility
becomes your friend and learn how volatility can really increase
your wealth and your holdings in a retirement account with bitcoin.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
The place to begin your education, the place to invest
with a block trust IRA go to Denesh crypt com.
Very simple, toneshcrypto dot com.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Jonathan, you had a big idea recently, and it is
an idea to merge two things that normally don't go together,
namely crypto and reading the Bible. Can you talk about,
first of all, where did you get such an idea?
And second of all, what is the sort of offer
that goes with it.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I'll try and put this as concisely as I can
so obviously being from financial being from the background, I'm
also a Christian and I read a lot and I
found this book called The Bible and Bitcoin by a
pastor by the name of Alan Armstrong, and it just
kind of really blew my mind that why is a
pastor writing about bitcoin in the Bible? Where is that?

(07:47):
Where is that marriage there? I purchased the book. I
read it. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I wanted
to contact this pasta because I wanted to offer more
of these books just to my clients. I went on
Google and I googled his name and lo and behold,
the Internet reveals or i phone number popped up. So
I called him up and I said, before, well, before

(08:08):
you hang up, I'm not some weirdo calling you. I've
read your book. And I started explaining my background to
Pastor Alan, and he was very dubious at first. Who's
this British guy calling me out of the blue. I
started buying a lot of books from Pastor Allan just
to kind of educate, just further my education and further
educate my clients. And then during our kind of friendship

(08:30):
forming over the past year and a half, Pastor Alan
told me about an app he was making about encouraging
people to read the Bible and then rewarding people who
are reading the Bible by giving them bitpoint, And that
just really blew my mind. And the more I thought
about it, the more it made sense, and very quickly.

(08:50):
I was just recently on a trip with my wife
in New York. We stayed at the Plaza Beautiful hotel,
and my wife likes to eat at this sandwich shop
in New York that we don't have here on West
It's a British sandwich shot, so we went there. I
was sitting there, we did my regard, and she's eating
her sandwich, and I'm looking out the window. I'm staring
at Central Park on Fifth Avenue, and outside are those

(09:10):
bicycles where they kind of rade you around Central Park.
You sit in the bag, they pay you, pay you
zubernant amount of money, too much money, but it's good experience.
And I was watching these young gentlemen there, and then
all of a sudden I see them rolling out these
prayer mats on the side concrete side of New York City,
getting on their hands and knees and start praying. And

(09:31):
these these guys, these you know they weren't Americans obviously,
you know, foreign nationals coming in. They were on Muslims.
And I'm not knocking any religion on what they were doing,
but I was watching there, watching six of these young
fellas on their hands and knees praying in this concrete jungle,
fire sirens, policemen going by, noisy city, and I look

(09:52):
at my wife and I'm just thinking, you know what
Christianity is under attack. You know, where are the good
Judeo cris student values where we're encouraging people to pick
up the Bible and read. And that's when it really
hit me that what Pastor Allan was doing is is
like a crusader for Christianity. He's getting encouraging people to

(10:14):
pick up the Bible and read, and I think America
has lost some of that with our children today. Even
my kids, they go to a faith based school. They
have to learn passages from the Bible and they recite it,
but I never see my kids picking up the Bible. Yes,
they're memorizing phases. So with this app, I was able
to give it to my kids. They're now reading the Bible.

(10:36):
They're getting rewarded in bitcoin, and I just think it's
an incredible opportunity to reinvigorate the Christian community. And I
want to touch a billion souls doing this to make
sure that we've got more people reading the Bible. And
I think this is just Alan. Past Alan's hit them
now on the head here and I feel like it's

(10:56):
my duty to help him spread the word. And I
feel that this is a vehicle where we can do this.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
We're lucky to have Pastor Alan Armstrong with us. Fast Armstrong.
Let me ask you kind of from a theological point
of view, is sound money.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
A biblical principle?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
And second of all, if someone were to say, tell
me more about this app, what am I going to
get some I'm not going to get some earthly rewards
as well as heavenly rewards if I dive into this,
because I'm going to tell people where they can get
the app. But before we get there, talk a little
bit about the importance of the biblical principle of money

(11:41):
holding its value.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
First of all, Denesh, thanks so much for having me.
I've been I've been a fan of yours for a while,
so it's it's quite it's quite an experience for me
to be on to be on with you, So so
thank you for having me. I appreciate the opportunity to
come here and tell you what I'm doing. To answer
your first question, sound money is a deeply biblical theological issue.

(12:05):
Money itself is a deeply biblical theological issue, and it
goes back all the way to Genesis one. Now I'm
a pastor, I'm a preacher, so forgive me if I
begin preaching. But in Genesis chapter one, we have God
creating everything. You know, day one, day two, day three,
so on and so forth. Mostly you know the narrative.
He creates man, and he says that he creates He

(12:25):
creates man and woman, male and female, and he says
that he makes them in his image. It says, let
us make man in our image after our likeness. And
you know, you go the Bible study and you go
to Sunday School near kid and you learn how you're
made in God's image, and it kind of ends there.
What does it really mean? And theologians have spilled, you know,

(12:48):
oceans of ink trying to figure this out, and it's
kind of mysterious for some people. But if you just
read the passage, God literally tells you he defines what
this is to be made in God's image, is to
have dominion over the earth, to rule and subdue it.
And that's a deeply economic activity. Man and woman are

(13:11):
two people, Adam and Eve, they have children, so on
and so forth. One in two people. That's a small economy,
but it's an economy. But as humanity grows, as humanity proliferates,
as we as his image, do what God says, be
fruitful and multiplied, we need an intermediary tool to scale
the human experiment, if you will, the human mandate is

(13:32):
a better way to put it. And money is that tool.
Money is the intermediary tool. It's the language of value
that you and I and all of God's imagers can
use to express value, to reward other image bearers of
God for what they do for their time and their labor.

(13:54):
And so God creates the world, which is an economic activity.
He creates value. He makes man in it, a woman
in his image, to do more economic activity, be fruitful
and multiply. And so when you understand your identity, you
understand how important it is for us to have a
sound money, a money that accurately represents and honors the

(14:18):
value and effort of each human being made in God's image.
So it's a huge, huge, huge issue that unfortunately, I
think the Church has by and large sort of put
to the wayside. Now, to answer your second question with
the app, are you going to get earthly rewards as

(14:38):
well as heavenly rewards? I'm not quite sure how to
answer that. I know you'll get heavenly rewards because the
Word of God is the Word of God, it's living,
it's active, is sharper than any two edges sword. And
so the real goal behind this app was to get
more people in the Bible there as a I've been

(15:00):
doing this for over a decade. In one of the
problems I've seen, or one of the things lacking, is
there are so many believers, believers who've been believing even
longer than I've been alive, who have never actually read
the Bible, the whole thing. There's so many who haven't
read Genesis to Revelation. I thought, man, why is that?

(15:21):
And I've always been trying to solve this problem. How
do I get people reading the whole thing? I know
there's some like Lubidicus and numbers, maybe it's hard to understand,
but if you read those things and you keep going.
It's like a treasure. You will get this understanding and
it is so deep and it is so meaningful, even
those verses that you think had nothing to do with you.
But you got to put in the work. And so
I came to I came along to bitcoin. I found

(15:43):
it to be sound money, God honoring money, and wrote
a book about it. And then and then I saw
a comment on Twitter and it said somebody said, I
wish I could get paid bitcoin for reading the Bible,
and they kind of said it in joking, and I thought,
wait a minute, this might work work, and so I
started building it. And what the app does is basically

(16:04):
you download it and you opt into a daily reading plan,
and each day you complete your daily reading, you'll get
rewarded with a little bit of bitcoin. And it reinforces
this habit. It uses the the incentive structures of other
apps to reinforce a life giving habit. And that was

(16:28):
the goal. And so, as Jonathan was saying, we want
to see billions of souls touched, I want many Christians,
and unbelievable, I have atheists commenting on my Twitter now saying, hey,
I'm not a believer, but this this looks interesting.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Is this for me?

Speaker 4 (16:42):
I said, yes, download it and read the Bible. It's
it's for you, it's for everybody. So we want to
reach the world with this and the bitcoin. Look, guys,
the bitcoin is just a cool incentive. I want to
share bitcoin with the church, and I want the church
reading the Bible. And so you're not gonna rich reading
the Bible or anything like that, but you will be

(17:03):
introduced to bitcoin. You will understand how it works, and
I believe once you do, you'll never look at money
the same.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
I mean, you gave such an interesting analysis of a
passage that most people know about made in the image
of God. The economic dimension of it, I mean, I
could illustrate the point, I think very simply if I
you know, if a kid, let's just says, comes to
you and says, I'll paint your fence and it's going
to take me, you know, ten hours, pay me one

(17:31):
hundred dollars, and you pay the guy one hundred dollars.
But then and he saves it and he hangs on
to it. It's really valuable to him. It represents the
effort that he's put in to paint that fence. And
if over time, money keeps losing its value. The one
hundred dollars becomes in terms of purchasing power ninety.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Five ninety eighty five eighty. You're stealing that kid's money.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
And I think that's what you're saying, that that the
biblical principle is that if work is to be rewarded,
in this case by that measurement we call money, that
money should hold its value. And the beauty of bitcoin
is is that it does that.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
The place to get this app orange. Now orange is
the color of bitcoin. You might wonder why it's Orangebible
dot com slash dinesh Orange Bible dot com slash dnesh.
That's where you get the app. That's where you're gonna
get incentivized to be reading the Bible and developing a
Bible study habit. I also want to mention the other

(18:29):
side I mentioned earlier. It's deneshcrypto dot com to learn
about block trust. Irgeonnathan Rose Pastor Armstrong, thank you very
much for joining me.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Here's the thing about crypto, it's here to stay.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
That argument is over.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
But think about it.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
If this is a market that never sleeps, it's moving
at midnight, it's two am. Three am, and while you're asleep,
who's watching? Because here's what nobody tells you. Most crypto
platforms give you a log in, wish you luck and
call it a day.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
That's not investing.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
That's gambling with your retirement and hoping for the best.
That's why I've partnered with block trust Ira. Block trust
Ira is cryptoira built for Americans who refuse to be
on the losing side of that equation. Their award winning
