Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy joins Matt Wilstein on Obsessed to discuss her explosive new Netflix documentary, Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing. Kennedy reveals what she learned from Boeing whistleblowers, the devastating 737 MAX crashes, the Alaska Airlines door-plug blowout, and the tragic death of whistleblower John Barnett—while explaining why she now avoids flying on certain Boeing planes. She also opens up about growing up in the Kennedy family, her late mother Ethel Kennedy, speaking out against her brother Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center, and the lessons she’s learned from a career spent telling some of the world’s most important stories.
