WSS Shoe Store on Baldwyn Park Boulevard. Now they have

two WUSS shoe stores in Baldwin Park, so make sure

This is the deal. It is a back to school events,
so they're gonna have back to school supplies they can
get for free while supplies last. Also, they're giving out
free haircuts, and of course also I'm gonna be coming
with a bunch of different prizes like I just did
with Port at the Habit home base meetup. We gave

away theme park tickets, constant tickets, what do you show,
merch and more. And I'm gonna be doing it again
once again Baldwin Park w S Shoe Store a Saturday
one in three pm. No excuses, come on through Baldwin

kind of claiming areas a little bit more his time.

Okay, just to let you know that, in studio Bort Studio,
by the way, there is, yes, thank you, one camera
set up for our whole system for the what he shows.
So if you watch all of our video clips and
YouTube or on our social media, we have cameras set
out through the building that make it look kind of

like we're close together. But Bort is in his own
separate studio and there's only one camera in here. Unfortunately,
there's three microphones in here. Menji has a microphone. Tyler
has a microphone, and Bort has a microphone Brett and
the camera is facing Brett's microphone, so when Tyler gets
on the mic, he has to push Brett out of

Tyler actually puts his arm over my desk, over my laptop,

lean out of the side. He's like, hold on, this
is my spot. I need to stay here. So that's
a reason.

That's the thing, Julia, We've had to deal with this

of yourself?

Oh god, I do not remember what I said. What

He said something like, damn, not gonna lie, But compare
with what to what I used to look like? I

Actually, I've been hearing that all the time, to like, yeah,

That's one thing that I kind of dislike where I

try to tell me all the time about it, and
I try to interject and they talk to me like
they're the expert on I go, I'm the one that

And then they come back later and they're like, man,
I heard this somewhere and this is my thought.

to Houston, Texas and did not get myself and Julie
and the Bucky's wagon that we wanted. It was not
going anyways. Speaking of Texas, one thing I forgot to mention,
don't forget Addison text. So everybody, I'm coming to Texas.

at Lazy Dog Restaurant August twenty second. It's a Saturday,

Yeah, they have a suite that's in the theater that's
above like all the other seats, and it's a really
cool experience. So we got to use it. We got
to watch The Odyssey. What is your review of The Odyssey? Tyler? Quickly?

To put it very bluntly, it is one of the
best movies I've seen this decade. It is so really,
it is so so good. And clips of the movie
have been coming up on my Twitter feed constantly and
I keep rewatching. I've probably seen the last tennish minutes
of that movie at least fifty times now. Really, I

like the part where we'll just say, like you'll you'll
know it when you see it, the part where yeah,
something happens. You'll know it if you've seen it. I
keep rewatching it. I keep thinking about it randomly because
it's just so perfectly well done. It is. It is
such a good movie. It is so good.

Okay, as somebody that's not an Odyssey, Homer, I kind
of like Homer, Yeah, oh yeah, true. I found that
out later after because I started asking chat GBT on
the way home, like, uh, did this actually really ever
happen like the Trojan Horse, because we've heard about that
story our entire life. Yes, and they say, uh, it

may have happened. They don't really know for sure, but
the like the battle actually did happen and things like that.

Yeah.

Uh. So when I'm watching the movie, I'm like, oh,
I kind of know this story. I kind of know
that story. Again, I didn't read the book. Apparently everybody
else did, and they got super excited because we got
to the theater and it was freaking packed.

Man.

Yeah, it was insane that you've never seen it that packed.
And meanwhile I'm like, yeah, this doesn't surprise for this movie.
At least it doesn't.

Yeah, you're lucky that you just used chat ChiPT what
I did My mistake is that I asked Kevin about it.

I don't now the movie is three hours? What about

You know kidding. I'm like Kevin, seriously, I don't care anymore.

And now the movie is three hours as somebody that
went to film school absolutely and beautifully shot awesome, Oh,
cinematographer as somebody that also took an editing class probably
could have took it down.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Is editing skills, like we could have.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Skipped the first two Here's the thing.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
I read that the original cut was somewhere between three
and four hours. Why and the editor who works personally
with Nolan, like that's his person for editing, he said
that she was like merciless and cut out a ton
of stuff just to get it under the three hour mark.
And even then I think it came in at like
two hours fifty three minutes.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Yeah, still three hours.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
It's a great movie.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Yeah, but still this is a problem with movies that
I'm seeing nowadays. Right, everybody was looking at fun movies
like Super Mario Brothers Galaxy amazingly fun. Right, Yeah, we
both saw it at the TCL Chinese Theater.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
It was great.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
Mandalorian Grogu an hour and a half, The New Avengers,
The Thunderbolts under two hours, and people will go, I
could have watched it out streaming. Man, it wasn't that grandiose,
it was that huge. It wasn't that long. I feel
like I got hit because it's under two hours. You
guys are missing the point. It's a fun movie. Movies
don't have to be it those to forty five minutes.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
They too long.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
That's my issue with Marvel movies sometimes because it will
have three endings in the movie because it's so freaking long.

Speaker 6 (11:09):
Right, So that is right. But I will say for
this movie, and for most Marvel movies, at least, it
didn't feel like three hours. Like I really, I enjoyed
it that much. I'm like, I didn't feel like it
was that long.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Infinity War would never end.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
Well, you also didn't really like Infinity War.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
So I'm watching Loe game tattooed. It took forever, dude,
I'm like, this is the longest day of movie.

A couple of things we did get to see a
Doom preview.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
Yes, oh, in or out. I'm so I've seen the
first I haven't seen the second one. I've seen the
first one.

Speaker 2 (11:42):

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Here's here's the other thing with this Odyssey though, Uh,
it's gonna be an IMAX for a very long time.
I looked at least at the theater that you know
we go to go watch Imax, the TCL Chinese Theater.
It is there until August twelfth, and then the movie
after that is going to be the Oak Street at

the end of the end of Oak Street, which I
didn't even know was a dinosaur movie. But they're blowing
past Spider Man. So Spider Man is not going to
be an IMAX at least at that theater. And then
you say over in Europe that the Odyssey is going
to be in the theaters until September.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Yeah, so in London, the one Imax theater in London
is it has all the Odyssey showings sold out I
believe until like September tenth, which is six weeks from now.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
I want to see Spider Man.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Brou That's that's kind of Disney's own fault because Disney
didn't shoot any of these movies really for the Imax screen,
and so now they're coming out with their own thing.
I think it's called in Oh.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Yeah, Finity Division or something like that.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Fair thing. Yeah, Doomsday trailer did look kind of good.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
You just brought up the Doomsday trailer. I thought the
movie was gonna be Doctor Doom. It is Doctor Doom, No,
but I thought it was gonna be titled Doctor Doom.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
No Ye Doom's Day.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Yeah, So how do we feel about some of the
same characters being in this movie? And Robert Downey Jr.
Is going to be Doctor Doom, So like, how's that
gonna play out?

Speaker 6 (13:20):
That's slightly interesting because the trailer did not show his
face at all.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yeah, but then it showed like all these other characters
that were in the movies with him as he was
Iron Man.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
Yeah. So like the big One is obviously Captain America's back,
but I have a gut feeling that's that's some sort
of base. Yeah, Door was never technically killed off.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
No, I'm just saying Thor interacted with freaking Iron.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
There's something we're not seeing in this trailer, or they're
hiding something, or there's some switch goes. They made a
giant note about Robert Downey Junior being back being possibly
being Doctor Doom, and I have a feeling there's there's
something we are not seeing yet.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
There's a bag.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Maybe make it like another dimension or another world, you know,
they do that.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
They're definitely doing that. They're definitely merging. The whole point
of this movie is to merge all the worlds. They're
taking the X Men universe or taking the Fantastic Four,
They're taking everything and they're merging it into one. Finally,
So I don't know what they're gonna do, but I
will say.

It looks freaking dope.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
I will say there is also a character that's missing,
because if you rewatch the trailer, in the part where
they're all standing in the same room, if you look
at the Fantastic Four, there's a giant gap between all four.

Marvel's known to do that.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Even if the Spider Man trailer, people were saying, like,
there's a scene where you see Spider Man jumping up
at a group of ninjas. Sorry, guys, I'm not the
biggest Spider Man fan, so I can't tell you who
the group of ninjas are.

Sorry Nerd fail whatever.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
There's spots in it that look empty, and people are like,
that could be Hulk, that could be the Punisher, that
could be a bunch of other people on Spider Man's side.
So Marvel's known to do that. They keep things out
of their trains.

Oh, but I'm just very curious as to who. I
have a guess, but I'm curious as to who it is.

All Right, before I go to Texas, I will be
at D twenty three.

Is basically Disney's Comic Con, which Comic Con is this weekend.
I don't feel like is up in my feet as
it has been in the past couple of years. It's
not is it because Disney has D twenty three this year.

It's because Disney has D twenty three, and because every
other major entertainment source has their own version of comic Con. Now, yeah, right,
like wwe used to go to comic Con, Well, they
don't do that.

They have fanatics.

That was huge fanatics fest this past weekend. It looked awesome.
I think I need to go next year.

Oh my god, dude, looks so cool.

You had Ryan Reynolds out there buying cards and like
hanging out with like CM punk and doing like different crossovers.

They spent eighty million to ninety million dollars on the event.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

So you have that, like every video game company has
their own thing now. You know, they used to have
E three and they used to be a comic cod
Now Xbox has their own presentation thing, PlayStation Nintendo, and
so now you have that again where now everybody has
their own thing, and comic Con is kind of scaled
back down to just the.

Comic book companies.

Yeah, and the movie studios associated with them. You really
only have news for what toys, Marvel, DC, Pokemon has
their own thing. Anime has anime fests and the Anime Awards,
so they're over there.

Did I remember a big chunk of Comic Con for
a while was just like just funk Go and just
like all their pops in general.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
But I mean, do you support everybody having their own
thing or do you want a centrally located thing.

I mean I kind of like it where it is
centrally located, but I kind of also enjoy everybody having
their own thing because you're catering to your market, You're
catering to your key audience, and you're not splitting up
your announcements like you're not saving your announcements for one
weekend where everybody announces of Now we get announcements throughout
the year, so I think that's a bit more fun.

I will say. The only thing that sucks is for
people who like multiple things, like Juliane. Yeah, for it
not being in a central location, then it gets really expensive,
and oh for sure at that part sucks.

Yeah, but I'm very excited for D twenty three August
fourteenth through August sixteenth in Anaheim, California. They said, uh, Disney,
Pixar announcements, Marvel announcements, Star Wars, and Disney Plus. So
it's gonna be a good time this weekend, though, Julianne,

Emo Night in San Diego and she got pushed to

Tour this weekend. You're going with a group of friends.

Right, Yeah, I'm actually going with a group of friends.
And the guy who's heading it is actually the very
first friend I ever in radio. So that's me and
him go back. I think, oh god, almost ten years,
nine years now.

Probably simple plan and bowling for soup? Those are those
are two of my dude?

Oh yes, those are the great Dude, We're hanging out
with the bowling for soup guy.

Dude, Okay, I was remembering that the other day because
he just randomly happened to be on the same Alaskan
cruise we were. And it was so funny because like
we talked to him for a couple of months, very
nice guy. We talked to him for a couple of minutes,
and then you know, he like we kind of split
up and it's fine. And then he comes back like
ten minutes later, he's like, hey, man, like I kind
of forgot to ask, and I hope I'm not bothering you.

I get a picture with you. Guys, Like it was
so funny because I'm like, I've never seen a band
member kind of geek out about the bow It's usually
the opposite way around. So I was like, oh, it
was kind of cool to see, but now he was
he was super chill, dude, very.

Nice, fun. But what's your birthday plans this weekend?

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Then, Julia, So we're the radios for somebody decided to
push a baby out three days before their own. So
my middle child's birthdays on Friday. So unfortunately, she's trying
to jack my birthday weekend. So what I'm doing and
let me let me explain what it is before I
tell you where it's that, Okay, on the thirtieth of July.

So next Thursday, there is an event that I found
on Instagram that's nearby my city and there's country line dancing,
there's barbecue, smoked food, there's tons of drinks. Games, Like
doesn't that sound fun?

Yeah?

Okay, so it's at Bulwinkles.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Yeah, hell yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
I told my buddy that his birthday was yesterday. He
turned forty six, and he's like, what are you turning twelve?
I'm like, Lindles, listen.

And that bowl Winkles. I think I drive by that
one all the time. Is that the one they just remodeled?

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Yes, yeah, And I'm just saying, like after I'm done,
you know, Bootschoo and if I get tired, I can
just go play laser tag in my kill girl Boots, Like, what's.

What's Yes, it's a mini golf spot if you have
mini golf, and they have go carts and all kinds
of stuff.

It was Boomers before boomers, but yeah, well.

It was Bullwinkles and then it was Boomers and now
it's back.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Toble where I grew up, we called it Malibu Raceway. Yes, Sam,
Malibu Grand Prix. Yeah, it was never heard of that.
It was awesome.

I had one of those around the corner from me
and yeah, I would.

Yeah, dude, bad ass. Well, so that's what I'm doing.

Yeah, and they only have this event, like I don't
know if it's once a month, but the Bowl Winkles
and upland if you want to go to an event
like that, just check out their Instagram and they'll tell
you when that specific event is happening. And then one
in July is on the thirtieth. So I think that's
what I think, that's what I'm going to be doing.

two things are staying, the rest can go, Like I

but he'll run down to the break room and come
back up here with a giant Deli cookie and a
sleeve of mini donuts, okay, right. And I'm like, okay,
I don't think these things are supposed to go hand
in hand. And I think the weight loss medication is
supposed to make you not want to crave. These things
are kind of shrink your cravy.

Well, it's still want to eat it.

Yeah, it doesn't still want to eat it. It makes
you eat less, but you should be eating healthier. That
would be the good idea of doing.

something obviously better than a sleep of donuts and a y,

there's a bag of chips here and there every day,
