so I'll give details on that very very soon.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
But I'll be super fun.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
It's gonna be an awesome time. Yeah, just from what's
been present, is gonna be a good hang and at
a really cool location.

I wanted to see something about it. It's just it's gonna
be really fun. Just wait for the info.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, they'll all drop on my Instagram page, at Menace
on Instagram and of course at the Woodies Show dot com.
Click under events once we have all that information up. Uh, Brett,
how's it feel You're back? You're hanging out with the homies.
You were gone for a whole week. I know you
did a little staycation. What did you do around town?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Man?

Speaker 4 (02:25):
I was so happy.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
It was great.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
I mean, I like seeing you guys. But yeah, to
be able to not wake up at the buck crack
of dawn, no listen stuff. I'm sorry to say this,
but to not listen to stuff. I don't care about
her stories. I don't care about her news because I
don't really pay attention to the news. Yeah, I don't
want to know about it.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I don't need to know.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I just want to focus on what I care about.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
You didn't miss anything news wise of any importance.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Man, Maybe Tyler got a milk mom or toot some
news you're talking about personal? No, no, it actual news,
But I would think that would be in the headlines too.
You know, Tyler was slipping in there. He is the
news writer. He likes to tell us every single day.
Uh man, I filled most of my time with going
to hobby shops, some of my favorite Japanese shops.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
You know.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
I lived near the beach, so I was hanging around
the beach.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Wait.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I was in the Huntingson Beach, Garden Grove, Westminster area
just after that chemical thing.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Oh damn.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
So it was kind of fun to drive around the
area because did they pushed all the homeless out of
some of those areas?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Uh huh.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
I just looked so clean and so nice and stuff.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, for people that don't know, there was a big
chemical like possible explosion that was gonna happen at this
aerospace company and they had to evacuate fifty thousand people.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yeah, yeah, fifty thousand people. So it was most of Stanton,
most of Garden Grove, and it cut right into Westminster,
which is the town above me. So it was a
but when they had to do that, man, they had
to make the move the homeless move too. Oh yeah,
solely are encroaching back. Nice to see it kind of
clean stuff. But besides it, man, I just I just
hung at home. There wasn't really much I wanted to

(04:01):
do other than just to kind of be in my
own space watch some TV. I threatened Tyler with possible
death if he bothered me about work. Yeah, which he
couldn't help himself.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Oh he still did. He had had text me this
to my next topic. So I like this on Friday.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
He just had to text me to go, hey, look,
just one thing about work. It was anything impoored it.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
But it was not even anything work related. It was
just something funny that Benji said.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Then why did you.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Have to say, hey, one quick thing about work?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
You could just because I know You're gonna be like,
why is this dude texting me around work hours?

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
My god?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
So dumb.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Anyways, shout out to a couple places I went to.
I went to about four different book Offs, which is
a big chain in Japan as mess Nos. I went
to Ecotown. I went to Brookhurst Hobbies for the first
time in Garden Grove, uh and one of my favorite stores.
I checked in with Cape and Cowl in Huntington b Sorry,
Fountain Valley not Huntington Beach is right close, but they

(04:58):
have an awesome action figure selection. So I was there
for you know, an hour or two.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Sweet, Yeah, that sounds like you had a good time.
I'm glad you kind of led up to a next subject.
I go, I put down here. Do you miss Tyler
burning you in any way? Because he just burned me today?
I would like to recap it, but yeah, go ahead,
I'll let you go first.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
It was a nice reprieve from getting burned in any
possible way by anyone that sits in this room with me.
And Andrew doesn't do it, sorry, Benji doesn't do it.
But Tyler, Tyler, I adore you. But man, it was
a long, nice, nine day little break.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I apologize for trying to constantly keep the stove hot. Jeez.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Actually, you know what I will say.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I did spend one day in my vacation with Tyler
with all you guys. We were at baby Austin's second birthday.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah, we turned up. It was fun. So King was there, mad.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Glazzies man, he was front center waiting for those guzzies
to come on off the barbecue. Man, but them hot
and ready, menace. I have to ask a question, yes,
have we started a counter for how many times Tyler
has burned you in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Oh no, but we should.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
It's only been twice. Yes, no, no one of them,
one of them. I will admit I totally screwed up.
That was my bad. That was for anyone who listens
to the to or anyone who remembers the show, like
back in January. That was when apparently I got a
birthday post over our Christmas break. Sammy didn't. Menace was

(06:34):
trying to apologize for it. He brought me up. I
don't even remember what I said. I just know I
burned him out. Yeah, because it's really bad.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
It's similar to the story on how he burned me today. Okay, bad, No, okay,
go ahead, I okay.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Just to bring up the quick recap of the of
the January thing. Yeah, it was Sammy's birthday. Him and
I were in Mexico, and I go, dude, do we
miss Sammy's birthday like we're supposed the post about it?
It happened the day before. I go, man, I feel
super bad about that. That sucks that we miss it.

(07:06):
Had a big conversation about it, and in your defense,
you're literally with Tyler Yeah yeah, or face to face
talk about his birthday.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Time and everything that's going on. We posted about him
all day long on social right, and you're with him, Sammy,
You're not with so it's out of sight, out of mind.
I completely understand that.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Yeah, but I felt bad about it, and we had
a conversation about it. Then it gets brought up on
the air on how we miss Sammy's birthday and did
a social post. Then I went to Tyler on the
air and I said, Tyler, didn't we have a conversation
in Mexico about feeling bad about not doing that social post.
Tyler immediately responds, I don't remember that.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, I don't remember. Okay, Okay, even even.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
If he didn't remember that, we're homies, dude, if that
happened to me, I mean, like, dude, yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
I oh yeah, dude, that sucks. Yeah, I remember.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
He felt really bad about that. No, I don't need
him to lie from me. But I'm just saying that
one hundred percent happened that we had that conversation. Let's
just say, if he, like truly did not remember, you
always back up your homies.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Also, not to burn a homie, but Hi, I'm here,
and Tyler does love with the attention is on him
and other people are forgotten.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
You know, saying that he's wasted though too, that's his
go too. Yes, I get mad drunk all the time.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Right, but how much do you love? Like? And it's
not vindictive, but you love when the attention is on
you and you're remembered over other people.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
I would say not the spotlight is on you, Tyler.
I like to share this spot I'm a humble guy.
I don't know why these I screwed up. I screwed
up in that time in January, my best it's fine.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Not to just to put a pin in this. And
I don't remember the exact thing he did. Also Burn,
it's it's at three. By the way, there was another
Burn that had to deal with him and Morgan about
halfway through January. And now there was a conversation. Oh
know what it was. Menace took a bullet for you.
He started getting a bunch of hate online and there
was no defense for Tyler. You were telling him to

(09:07):
be the bigger man. Oh rant right, Oh no, he was. Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
I got a lot of hate for saying, you know,
Menace is not Tyler's boy. He's saying that he should
pay more you and all this kind of stuff, and
I'm like, dude, just do the right thing, and you
just looked like the shining star.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Out of all this.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Oh and the TV that was it.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
It was he burned me on the TV.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Sorry for for yeah, sorry, you go back on the
Way Show podcast. There's oh stuff flipping beyond okay.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
So I'm trying to fight because this is this is
the first no, no, no, no no, this is the first time
we've brought this up with uh because dude, you were
getting and I was the first people. But I was
willing to like a lot of just unjustified hate, which
made no sense because.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
I wanted you to look good at the end of
the day, and you wouldn't have looked good if you
didn't pair the rest of the rent. And I said, dude,
just do it, and I was trying to look out
for you. I agree, But people are getting on me
for telling him to do that in the first place.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
It was wild, And I.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Will say that I was on Reddit a lot commenting
back saying, hey, me and Menace are his friends and
we actually care about him, we want the best for him.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Now, I will say this, I didn't look I didn't
bring anything up about it because.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I don't want to be involved in it.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
No, no, no, I didn't bring anything up about it because
when it comes to stuff like this, like me defending
other people, I usually I'm.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Not interested in doing that.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
No, I do that, I will usually help me. I
will usually be humble about it and just not say anything.
This was ten days ago someone. Look, look ten days
ago someone on the Reddit, and I'm going to read
this quote. Menace has been quite the douche friend every
episode bags on Tyler when he made the right decision
to leave after quote accepting her extra room and her

(10:57):
being a I'm not gonna read that part. Oh you
get the idea with that, Yeah, I responded, I said, Nah,
Menace is a g He knows when to push me
in the right direction and how to get me to
do the smart thing. Dude, it's my boy, and I'm
forever grateful, forever grateful.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yeah, I mean, I didn't need you to defend me,
but I do appreciate you posting that anyways.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
So let's just fast forward and get this one over with.
Where you burn me today.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
It's fine, but it's just like, dude, what the heck?
Man Like, Okay, again, this was a real conversation. And
by the way, I love Menji's girlfriend. I think she's
freaking hilarious. Oh dude, she's great, She's super funny. But
we were at the uh if you have not heard
it on the Woody Show podcast yet or on the
Woody Show, you got to hear what happened.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
But here's a little spoiler.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
At the party, Menji's girlfriend goes, you almost killed Menji
to me, and I go, what So? Back in October,
I ordered a bunch of those Arawan smoothies that are
like super expensive, but they were like smashy pumpkins themed,
They're all purple whatever. Yeah, they were supposed to be
like goth smoothies or whatever, but they had almond milk.

(12:08):
I didn't know what's in him whatever Menji has one.
Didn't know he's allergic to almonds. Never even told anybody
about it. And he never even told me that that happened,
that he started drinking one of those and started having
an allergic reaction, never mentioned it once again. That happened
in October. I found out just this past weekend from

(12:30):
his girlfriend that he had that reaction. Quote, you almost
killed him, right, So I didn't know what level that
he reacted anything. All I know is you almost killed Benji.
Tyler was standing right there, and Tyler goes, oh, yeah, yeah,
you almost killed Benji.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Okay, so I tell Woodie.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I'm like, hey, we should bring this up on the air,
because he never mentioned that that happened. Wood He explained
it the same way I did, that Menace almost killed Menji.
And then Menji goes, oh, yeah, it wasn't really that
big of a deal. I had like one sip and
then I realized, oh yeah, it had almonds in it,
so you didn't really like kill me. And then what
he goes, minutes you said that you almost killed him.

(13:10):
I go, that's what they told me at the party.
I almost killed him. And then I tried to go
to my boy Tyler because he was there as a witness.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
And what was Tyler's go to thing? Again?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Oh man, I was drunk, dude, I don't remember I.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Said that that was said. I said that that was
say that go back on the podcast. I will go
back he and I will listen to it.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
He went back and retracted and said, oh yeah, I
think that was after I said, dude, you were right there.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
That's what they said that I almost killed him.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
I'm going to go back and I'm going to listen
to this, and that's I'll leave it at that. I
will go back and listen to this before I say
anything further.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
As the audio guy in the Wooded show, Yes, the
first round, Tyler does say, I don't know, man, I
wasn't really paying attention. I was drinking. I was kind
of buzzed. The second round after he was getting crappy. Yeah,
that's what I said. I said that, he said, she
said that. Yeah. So this is what Tyler does, man,
he gets to put on the spot.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
He plays the cool guy, cool drunk guy, doesn't really
know what's going on, and then once he gets crapped
out of then he panics and then does the thing
where he's like, I said that, I did that.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
That's what I'm saying. I love you, Tyler, you know that, But.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Why I've still going Do you not remember anything that night?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Now?

Speaker 3 (14:27):
I was pretty jacked up, like I was. Yeah, I
was pretty best, all right, but we have.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Just like every time I try to go to him, like, dude,
this happened right.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
You were there, not once has he ever like come
through on it. I'm stop, I'm not going to that
corner of the room anymore.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
We have a knock at the door. I think a
little birdie is here that could give some insight into
Tyler in his behavior of burning friends. Uh oh, mister Randy,
is that you Randall?

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Hi, thanks for letting me in. We're talking Tyler. What's
going on?

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Oh? Nothing, Everything is all good.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Yeah, Randy. Has Tyler ever burned you?

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (15:05):
That is having But look, part of being Tyler's friend
is the understanding we've If you listen to this podcast
long enough, then you probably remember this reference years and
years ago. We use it for the first time with
Tyler about how Tyler kind of goes with the wind.
So whichever wind, whichever direction the wind's blowing, Tyler will go.
So being friends with Tyler inherently means that you're setting
yourself up for a burn at some point down the line.

(15:26):
It's just part of being He's he's opportunistic, you know,
he's like a he's like a scavenger. So that's part
of knowing him, you know what I mean. It's like
he's a good guy, but you also know that he's
going to cook you if he gets the chance.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
It's just part of the relationship.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Loyal, lovable, train wretor you're gonna get hit by the train.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Well.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I don't want to spend another ten minutes of Burnham
because I do love him, but I.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Do have a question. Randy, you son up a bitch.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Tyler didn't deny it, so I know that we've already
confirmed that you were a quote unquote wasted on Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I was yes Sunday morning.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Promised me six am, you were gonna wash the Monaco
f one with me, and You're like, dude, I'm gonna
do it. I'm gonna wake up, dude. I heard this
guy's alarm rumble my house at five fifty am. I
don't know what song is playing, but it is loud.

(16:19):
Af I am waiting out in the living room. I
have the Monaco race on. Yeah, and guess who doesn't
get out of his room?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Yeah, slid. I was. I was dead.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
He's like, I'm gonna get up, I'm gonna eat some
pancakes with you and wash this race.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Yeah. I did not hear this thing go off at all.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
So that race starts at six and I'm like, oh damn,
it's like seven thirty. I go, you know what, I
gotta call this guy because I know he has to
be at work at a certain time. So I started
calling him at seven thirty. Mind you, he's in the
house in his room, so I'm just like watching the
race trying to call him to wake up.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
He doesn't pick up the phone either.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Now that I could explain, I keep my phone on silent. Yeah,
the why is this music going off? Well, that's an
alarm that that'll go off even if your phone is
on silent.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Yeah, okay, I understand that. Now I have a further
question from Menace. Were you fearful of going to that
room and opening the door of what you might see
once it opens.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Oh, and seeing some nudity?

Speaker 1 (17:19):
No, I was too busy watching these But I was
more worried about him getting to work on time.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
That's what I was working, I can tell you right now.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
First off, I woke up about seven fifty eight o'clock.
I caught like the last ten minutes of the race.
Shout out kimy Antonelli winning fifth in a row. You know,
it looked pretty good. I do feel bad I missed it.
But I did make it to work on time, which
is what really matters at the end of the day.
So we did that, not pro.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Do you want to tell us the story about what
happened the other day when he went home to for a.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Little Oh yeah what yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Okay, yeah, okay, like you know what, Apparently I've been
burning people. I will let Randy burn me this one time. So, okay,
all of you guys know that I've been working two jobs, right, Yeah,
and since yeah, there's a lot of times or I'm
working both jobs three days a week, i don't get

(18:19):
nearly as much sleep as I should because I'm just
constantly on the go, constantly on the move.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
So now that I've moved to a new apartment which
is closer to the other job, on my lunch break,
I'll go home and I'll just take an out, yeah,
because I am literally five minutes away. So I went home,
and my coworkers are cool enough, so they're like, they
know this dude, like he works hard, he doesn't get

(18:46):
a lot of sleep, so they're cool if I take
a little bit longer than my allotted lunch. So is
this Monaco day you're talking about? Now, this is last week. Okay,
so they're cool if I take a little bit longer
on my allotted lunch break as long as I come
back from when I have to be on air, They're
totally fine with it.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
I had to be on air at four o'clock. I
left for my lunch break at about two, so I'm like,
all right, cool, I can sleep for like an hour
and a half, come back at fourth, be good to go.
I slept through that alarm again. My on air shift
was supposed to be from four to seven. I woke

(19:23):
up at six fifty.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Absolutely incredible. It was dumb dude just stelling.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
I woke up and I'm like, oh damn, Like I
actually feel really good.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah, I feel WILLI right, really well rested. Yeah, wait
for that four o'clock start.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
I look and so where my TV is? I have
an actual digital alarm clock.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
I picked my.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Head up and I'm like, oh my god, like this
is six point fifty. I'm like, oh my god. Like,
I'm like and I look at my phone. I had
at least two texts from the person that I was
supposed to take. I felt really I texted back immediately.
I was like, I am so sorry, Like I'll buy
you lunch next time I see you. I felt horrendous.
Blah blah blah blah ah.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Lunch doesn't never come in.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
By the way, Yeah I got I got two weeks
to do it before that job man, so like so yeah,
so I felt so bad. But I'm looking at the
clock and I'm like, there's only ten minutes lots on
my ship. There's no point even going back, so like,
I might as well just stay here, like it makes
no sense. So I'm like, all right, cool, well, let

(20:28):
me get something to eat. I make myself in the
I'm like, all right, I need to do a little
bit of work for Woody. I'm like, I need to
do a little bit prep, you know, blah blah blah.
I'm looking around, like, what the hell's my laptop? I
left it at the office, didn't I. So I'm like,
you gotta be afing kidding me. So had to completely
get you know, get out of my gym shorts, get

(20:48):
dressed back up to go to work, go upstairs, face
to the office and I go up there and there's
one dude left. He's like, hey, man, what happened? And
I told him and he's like, I don't worry about it.
So like it happens, you know, like we know you
bust your eyes, Like, don't worry about it.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Just assume he had like senior itis. They only a
couple more weeks. I think I think some of them
are guy's blown it off.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I think some of them legitimately thought I was dead,
so like, yeah, but that's that's what I felt so bad, Like.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
I think that might be more of a wake up call.
You need to get some sleep if anything, if they're
you know it, he croaked.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
You know what the best part is is that I
woke up and my roommate, who was at work that
same day, He's like, oh, now you wake up, And
I'm like, dude, you could have just knocked on the door.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
One of the funny things that happened.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Sometimes like after a long day, I will go nap
and then I won't wake up until seven o'clock at
night and I think it's seven o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Oh I hate that. Oh my god, I'm like three
hours late for work.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
But I'm like, oh, it's seven at night.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
I did that once.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
I hot, like I was so freaked out because our
morning show at the time started at six I woke
up and I saw my clock say six thirty. And
it was the summer, so the sun was still out.
So I freaked out, threw on my clothes, grab my backpack,
hopped in my car. It wasn't until I was down
the street I noticed that my clock in my car
said PM.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
I was like, oh, yeah, that is hour.

Speaker 5 (22:11):
Man, I forgot what I was telling. But I remember
back when I was with the show, and I just did.
I was young and stupid, so I mean, I'm still
still stupid. I turned thirty this year, so but but
I remember I would be like at the I hallucinate dude.
I'd be like, it's at stop lights, and like I
would forget him in the car, like, oh yeah, I'm
in the car. I'm like, oh I gotta go. So
like but it's because I just wouldn't prioritize my sleep. Yeah,

(22:34):
just like, well, it's also sorry, reckless.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
It's so sorry, man, because you're still trying to like
have a normal life and take care of everything you
need to and improve yourself, do all these different things
while also doing a show that takes up a lot
more time than people actually assume it does. There's a
lot of stuff here and at home and everything, But
one of my favorite times was and it's only favorite
because it was hilarious. I think Randy, me and Menace
were all like five minutes behind, and we all lived

(22:57):
on the same street, but different parts of the street.
So I go to turn onto the main street on
the way to the radio station. There's a prius that
shoots past an hour huh, and I try to catch
up to it, like, who the f was that? It
was Randy? And then as the prius shoots passed, all
of a sudden, here he comes to another car turning
the quarter really fast and shoots in front of me again,
and I'm like, there's meta.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah, I knew.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
I knew all the right allegedly all the right reds
that you could skip with that really too much risk
of getting in trouble. I knew, dude, I would fly
And that was those are the good days. You'd be
on a good day for like bro, I got all greens, Yeah,
pedal to the mic.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
I can't tell you how many Saturday mornings I've woken
up and ran into the shower and got thinking it
was in the middle of the week, and then in
the halfway through the shower, I'm like, oh, it's Saturday.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Your panic just here fear and pain.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
The one thing that we did get to watch though, Tyler,
which was exciting. We got to watch some horse racing though. Yeah,
so we got to see Golden Tempo win again.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
That was pretty awesome.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
On the uh, he won the Belmonts. That was so
first off, we didn't even plan on watching, which you're like, oh,
yeah this is on.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yeah, so like that was really cool.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Yeah, because you were looking around and I'm like, oh,
there's there's no other sports game on, and they're like, oh,
here's Belmont Stakes. And I'm like, oh crap, that's today.
Like I toldally forgot it, But we literally caught it
like four minutes before the race, yeah, like right as
the race started. And then Golden Tempo again like he
did in the Kentucky Derby, was last of the pack
for most of the race and then at the very
like the last quarter mile just shoots off like a rocket.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
In the mud. Yeah, in the mud like it was.
It was a tough track.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Yeah, and these are these races like so like the
events themselves, whenever I look at TV, like on on
my little spectrum thing. It says there are a couple hours,
is it just like a bunch of people talking and
like no.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
So there's there's a bunch of races that lead up
to I think for the Kentucky Derby, that was race
number twelve on a fourteen race card, So you have
all these other races going on before it, and a
lot of the races that go on before it are
like big, big money races that just other horses who
are either too old or didn't get into the Derby,

(25:05):
but they got into these smaller ones, they run those,
and then you obviously had the bigger one being the Derby.
And it's the same thing for the rest of the
Triple Crown races. They usually take place towards the back
end of the card and then there's usually still like
another race or two after that.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
Yeah, I've always wanted to go to sant Anita and
do and just talk the day.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
So I'm I'm gonna'm gonna tell you this right now.
Santa Anita great track. You want to spend a day
at the racetrack, Go down a little south, go to
del Mar around the ocean side area. Yeah, it's beautiful, beautiful,
racetrack way better than Santa Anita. The weather is a
little bit better because it's closer to the water. I've
never heard a single bad thing about delmar Go check out.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
I've only gone there for a music festival. But the
other thing that I wanted to bring up, you weren't around, Tyler.
He came to my house Saturday morning. But Friday night
I watched some Nicks versus Spurs. That was pretty exciting.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah, game too, Yeah, yeah, last.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Night I watched Game three, and I'm like, dude, the
Knicks cannot land at three in the fourth quarter day
at all.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
It was garbage.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
They hit one last three towards the end, Whords gave
him a kind of bit of hope, But dude, they
had a like huge span of time that they cannot
get one.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
I think. I'm like, we're Steph Curry dog, dude.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
I think in the fourth quarter they went two for
twelve from three and they started over ten damn like
they shot up ten threes and you know that. But
they kind of got lucky that they were that close
because san Antonio I think started oh for seven from
three in the fourth quarter too, so like nobody was
hitting anything. Yeah, so and you know, and then they
get down it towards the wire. Honestly, I'm kind of

(26:32):
glad san Antonio one. It's gonna be more fun of
a series to watch. And like, dude, these games have
been really close.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah, and I'm loving all the New York fans. I'm
loving all the coverage Sea Basses getting. You can see
it on our Instagram at the Woody Show.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
We'll say this last night maybe a little too wild
at the loss, but I you know, I think that
was also some frustration with since Trump was at the game,
they closed off a huge section of all the watch parties,
so they were already pissed off. And dude, any dude,
any Spurs fan, they saw the street last night, they
were all for blood.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, that was this crazy.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Moving on to other events, iHeartRadio Festival is happening in September, BTS,
Major Laser, Snoop Dogg, Cardi, b Zar, Larsen, and so
much more. Can't wait for that. We've all been to
the music festival together. That was super fun. It's always
a good time in Vegas, so make sure you go
to iHeartRadio dot com Slash Music Festival get all the

(27:25):
details they're doing like this pre concert thing with Weezer,
So if you're a big Weezer fan, make sure to
hit that up. But I can't wait to get to
Vegas because you know what's also open down the street now. Oh,
I just saw this this morning, the world's largest in
and au Berger three stories.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Oh, it finally.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Opened, finally opened today in Vegas. So I just wanted
to give you guys a heads up. That's the whole
reason I even mentioned the festival, because I just want
to let you know if you're going to Vegas.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
It's fine if you bury the lead as long as
you remember the important details.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
It's just the setup, guys, that's how we do it.
Here's something that you would actually be really interested in.
Maybe everybody on the show, but I know for sure
Bort and I haven't hung out in this area in
quite a long time, and I need to go back
because I'd love it so much.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
And Bort, I know you do.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Did you hear about this Sega pop up happening in
Little Tokyo. Oh, let's go June nineteenth through July nineteenth,
So get all your details. Just google Sega pop up
a Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, you'll be able to find
out all this stuff. But apparently a lot of Sega

(28:31):
nostalgia stuff is gonna be happening during that time, and
merch and all kinds of different stuff happening.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
That's awesome, man. That's one of my favorite places in
all of Los Angeles' a little Tokyo.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Yeah, so check that out. That's something for you boards.
I don't know if anybody that listens to this podcast
used to listen to me on The Doghouse Warning Show,
but if you did and you want to help out
the dog House Warning Show, they were actually nominated for
a Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame award. I know
it would mean a lot to Elvis who was on

(29:03):
The dog House Warning Show with me and a lot
of the cast members. I mean, they shouted me out,
but I was a very small part in the history
of that morning show. So if you listen to it
and you want to vote for them, please do it.
Just google Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame nominees and
I'll pop up right there and you'll see the dog
House Warning Show and just give him a vote.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
It does cost five dollars to vote. I know. Sucks.
I hate it.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
But that's to keep all the Shenanigans out of there
on the voting. So if you were a big fan
and you just want to give some love, go ahead
and do that. You guys want some tech news, Oh yeah,
all right, tech.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
News Apple Now Apple.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
They just released a bunch of software updates, and one
of the updates is like new stuff that has to
do with kids.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
I don't care about any of that stuff.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Boring.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Tyler might because you know he likes to date chicks
with good something to keep the kid entertained. So there's
a mention new.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
The way I say, the way I see is this, when
the cat's away, the mice will play Jeez cats.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Well, anyways, it new parenting features on Apple software for
their kid's phone, so I guess that, yeah, that's cool
for parents.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
They did some updates for this liquid glass stuff that
I don't care about. Uh, old phones, this is interesting. So,
I mean, Brett, you're a person that doesn't update your
phone too often. So they said that the new operating
systems will run correctly on phones all the way back
to iPhone eleven. Oh sweet, so you'll be able to

(30:39):
enjoy the new operating systems. And then the one exciting
thing was the photo reframe. Now did you see that?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Now?

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Photo reframe is basically you take a photo and then
you're able to reposition the person in the photo or
other things an objects. So let's say I take a
picture of Tyler right and I'm like, you know what,
he's better at a different angle. I can actually take
my finger and put it on the photo and then
move the background and the angle. Now, I don't know
if they like make the picture with AI like the

(31:12):
missing parts as it moves, but I'm gonna have to
look into that. But photo reframe looked really really cool.
So that's the one update that I was excited about.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
That's actually pretty that sounds really cool, man. I mean
obviously famly follows me at Saint Port on Instagram. You'll
see I take a lot of photos of random nonsense
and backgrounds and everything and trees and animals, and sometimes
you don't get them at the right angle and you're
so angry about it. Yeah, Heng Man, I just want
to like move this tree over just a little bit,
move a scroll a little closer.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
No, Brett, I actually I have a have a question, yeah,
just out of curiosity, what software update are you on
for the OS.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
I love that you asked that because I brought it
up so I could tell you guys that I'm using
an iPhone XR.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Okay, okay, and I know that is there you.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Go and software version Yeah, fifteen point four point one.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Oh my god, what is that? Well the iOS update
out right now? You said you're at fifteen point four
point one. Yeah, we are currently at twenty six point five. Oh,
don't hear about ten years?

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Still works, still works, still works, man, dude, Apple did
me dirty once, man.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I did.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
I would do every update that they would give me.
I had a brand new MacBook that would do every update,
and their update killed my Wi Fi card for about
six years.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Oh no.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
And I'd go to the Apple store saying, can you
guys fix this? Like nope, it's a known issue.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Sorry. Oh damn.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
So no that was their answer, you guys.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Yeah, I think they're moving a little bit more towards
just retention. Like at this point they're like, we would
like people to buy new iPhones, but right now, we
just want people to stay with their iPhones.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Yeah, we'll offer this.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Because I don't hear a lot of I don't hear
a lot of people buying a lot of phones nowadays, Like, yeah,
they just want to have their phone and stick with
it until the thing stops working.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
So there is this new tech company that's kind of
exciting to me. It's called Nothing. Oh the singer Charlie
XCX became an investor in them. But they've been around
for a couple of years now. Their phones look really cool,
their headphones look really cool. They're like they're hardcore going
after Apple in the younger space. You know those big
AirPod Max headphones that people like to get, but they're

(33:13):
like five hundred, six hundred bucks. Yeah, they have Nothing
has their own version and they're like one hundred and
fifty bucks. And I hear they're really really good. So
Nothing dot Tech, I believe, is their website. I'm gonna
start looking into them a lot. Do you guys want
some food news though? Yeses KFC is gonna have some

(33:33):
Supergirl meals, So look out for that.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
I commercial for that last night.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
I am excited for Supergirl. The meals look really cool.
They come with biscuits and chicken.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Speaking of chicken, McDonald's is getting ready to offer worldwide
chicken tenders the best drumsticks and flats. I have ever
had was McDonald's in China. It was an Alexander Wang collaboration.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Google this.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
It was a chicken bucket. It was so freaking good.
And everyone's getting into the chicken space. People keep on
saying like, oh, Costco is gonna have chicken tenders as well,
it's on the menu. I haven't seen it on the menu,
and I haven't seen anybody that I know personally post
about it, so I don't even know if that's true
or not, or it's just a rumor.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
So I did a rite up on this. I believe.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
I did it like two or three weeks ago, if
I remember correctly. They're testing it, I think in a
few locations in either Illinois or Indiana.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
So it always gets everything. Yeah, I know the country
gets first. It's in the middle.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
So if it does well over there, which let's it's
chicken tenders and it's Costco, it's going to do well,
it'll soon come to the rest of the country. So
but the only catches these things are mega high in calories.
But at the same time, I do not care because
it's Costco chicken, so I will gladly have some. I mean,
I'm excited. I like new stuff, dude. Speaking of McDonald's,
they got those World Cup cups right now, and like

(34:55):
those girlfriend got me one. Oh honestly, I was thinking
about going right afterwards done here because it is about
lunchtime and I haven't eaten.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
I kind of.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Want to, I will, I will say I have. Also,
I have seen also online that people get really upset
when they get Grimace. I would be okay with Grimas gone.
There are certainly some players who I prefer over other
players in terms of options for the.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
World Cup Cups. Shout out to great Bog.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
I would not be upset with the Grimmist.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Cup, just saying I would be livid with the Grimmas
Cup because I want an actual player.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
But that's just me anyways.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
One other thing in chicken news, since we're all about chicken,
I read this morning for the first time in fifteen years,
Burger King is bringing back the crown shaped chicken nuggies.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Oh my god, I forgot about that, dude.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Those have been gone since I think it's set twenty eleven,
finally bringing him back after all these years. You can
get them alone as a standalone eight piece for I
think it was three forty nine, or you can get
them as part of the King Junior Menu for three
ninety nine. And fun fact, if you get the King
Junior Menu or if you get the King Junior Meal,
it comes with crayons and a colorable crown and a
colorable bag. Be a kid again, have fun.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
All right, well it's okay to try that, but just no.
We we're down with Raisin Canes. Chicken fingers.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Shout out to Raisin Canes.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Love most airports.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
One love we outside, shout out Raisin Canes.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
I'll be ro about Raisin Caines. Best lemonade, there is, best.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Uh sauce there is has a hat right now on
New Era because they I guess they're like the sponsor
for one of the NASCAR drivers and it's like the
Raisin Cain's hat and there's flames all over it. Yes,
I might grab that hat.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
They also have Raisin Caines soccer jerseys.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
Yeah, dude, I have the Raisin Canes Captain hat that
you gave me like years ago. I don't wear it
whenever I'm like because I have this thing where if
I'm wearing like, let's say I'm wearing like an asu shirt.
I don't like to wear a Dodgers hat. I just
don't like wearing two teams or sports things. Yeah, it's
a weird thing. So my Raisin Canes is like my default,
just sort of like whatever kind of hat. I can't
tell you how many times I get stopped and people
are like, would you get that hat?

Speaker 4 (36:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:51):
I know, bros. I'm like, yes, you don't.

Speaker 5 (36:53):
Man.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
They definitely have the younger generation because every little kid,
they're obsessed with two things Raisin Cane merch and K pop.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Just that.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, all right, uh real quick in the movie space,
because you guys are my movie people. Why I feel
like I haven't heard anything about this movie, but yet
it's sold out like crazy.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
The Odyssey, Dude, I haven't There's no way you haven't
heard anything about it.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
There's no way anything about this movie. All I know
is it's crazy pre sold out for people to go
see it.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Yes, dude, to crash the AMC website. I don't even know.
No movie you never read in high school?

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Okay, hold on Homer's the Odyssey like one of the
most famous books.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Of from Simpsons. Simps that it's Homer.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
Okay, yeah, said single not Homer's No.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
I said, Homer, Oh no, what's Homer's the Odyssey?

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Could put the apostrophe with the s like, Okay, I
know the book, but and I obviously know the Odyssey
from different renditions they've done over the years. But I'm
on Medici side here.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
I have heard zero, I'm on the internet. I'm outside,
I've heard are you what you're outside? Are you looking
up at billboards?

Speaker 5 (38:08):
Like there's no way you haven't seen This is funny,
This is kind of this kind of goes hand in
hand with the conversation that me, Tyler, and Eric had
not that long ago. Eric has deleted Twitter entirely. I
I have followed suit just because of I'm too sick
of the political stuff. I can't escape it. But part
of me being like Tyler and just seeing everything was
I saw everything on Twitter. Now that I don't have Twitter,

(38:29):
I'm not seeing a whole lot of stuff anywhere. And
to your point, I've seen like maybe a handful of billboards.
But when you remove that social media element completely out
of the equation, like, I have not seen a whole
lot of it either.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
Wait, there were like two commercials for it on the
game last night that you were watching. I didn't see it.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
Oh okay, I I do be seen a lot too
because I have AMC a list, shout out and whenever there.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
It's just it's everywhere.

Speaker 5 (38:53):
But it has been really annoying to find tickets because
it has it has it did sell out, like almost immediately.
I can't get yeah, like you have to go to
like a queue to even access the AMC app.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
But we have seen so much about so many other movies.
I read the news every day, Mandalorian and Grogu, we
did super Girl. I'm seeing the trailers for.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
The next one that I can't avoid that I've seen
a ton about is Disclosure Day.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
I'm super psyched.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
I haven't been able to avoid. And you know what,
I'm sure you're gonna see. You're gonna see a ton
of honesty stuff. The closer we get to like they're
really gonna ramp it up. You'll probably they'll probably be
something like in La. I'm pretty sure if I if
I saw correctly, like the WB tour now has like
the Trojan Horse or something for you to go look
at or so you'll see it, they'll be there'll be

(39:36):
a lot.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
I saw one thumbnail on disclosure and I saw one
video that was associated with Steven Spielberg, who I had
to look up was actually directing this just to even
know about this. And and look, I follow all the
government stuff. I look at alien stuff, heard zero about
this one too.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
I will say that for Disclosure Day, I didn't see anything.
I knew it was coming out because I had heard
about it a while back, but I didn't see anything
really for it until about three weeks ago, and then
all of it I've just kind of came out at
the same.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Since I saw Scream, I've been seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Yeah, But anyway to the movies, talented they show it
at the movies, Well, I'm thinking like billboards, posters, commercials
on TV. Yeah, dude, includes isn't gonnat themselves?

Speaker 1 (40:20):
All right, Well, it's getting lay here and I got
to go to a dentist appointment, so I got to
wrap up. But thank you so much for listening to
What's New pod and hanging out with this real quick.
