HS Boys Basketball - Lucas Falls In Regional Semi-Final To Warren JFK

The Lucas Cubs fell on Tuesday night in Akron at Firestone High School in the Division IV Regional Semi-Final, 54-48, to Warren JFK. Lucas trailed the game 10-0 and buckled down on defense and clawed their way back into the game, which saw them trailed by only 5 points at the half. The Cubs were down in the 3rd quarter by 16 points, which saw Senior Riley Gossom come off the bench and drill two big three's at the end of the 3rd quarter and stat of the 4th to spark the rally. Lucas struggled at the line all night, missing 12 free throws in the game, JFK made their free throws late i n the 4th quarter to pull out the win. Lucas ends a great year at 19-8. (Aired 3/9/10)
