Speaker 1 (00:00):
So we're going to talk weight loss jabs because we
haven't actually on this show, and they're huge, Like they're
a massive thing.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
You know.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
You look from Hollywood all the way down to the
local clubs and things on the Gold Coast. A lot
of people are using them. I've been offered them before
and I refused it because I have enough hormone. There's
enough craziness going on.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Well, it's kind of. It originally was for diabetes and
then so we're talking about the jabs like a zen
piic and all that kind of stuff. So having started
a diet at the beginning of November, losing four kilos,
which is great. But this is the thing though, You
do know that if you did something like this, it
would come off a lot quicker and you wouldn't have

(00:44):
to think about it so much, because you guys know
that I'm thinking constantly about what I can eat, what
I can't eat, how much I'm spread.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
But the whole thing is, we went to the Runaway
Bay Leagues today and then before you got there, I
was thinking, no Mozzi. They go, can we get Moisi
a pizza? And goes, no, we can't because Mois's on
a diet. She can have pizza, and I said no before
you got there, and I said, just get her a
steak and salad. And that's it. I'll eat the pizza
in front of it.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Now, Madam Day. And if you had anyone in your life,
it's usually female, so predominantly. Have you had anyone in
your life who's used it? Really? So, I know a
fair few people. Maybe it's because we're a little bit
older and it's harder to budge that weight when you
get sort of around your forties. I want to hear
the people's experiences with it. I want to hear if
they because there's a lot of people who, you know,

(01:37):
say I've lost a kilo a week, or I've lost
this or I'm down twenty kilo. And you look at
people and you can tell in their face. I think
there's an a zebic look that you like. Sharon Old's,
that's that look where it's just she just looks like
just a skeleton with a little bit of skin on her.
She stopped a couple of weeks. Well, this is the thing.
Can you stop? And what happens when you do stop.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Is the reason why they do the m pick is
because they can't work at the time to eat properly,
or they're busy schedule.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Or it's kind of the same with weight loss surgery
as well. You know, some people say, and I'm certainly
not saying it is, but some people say it's an
easy way to lose weight. I don't think there's any
easy way to lose weight, because I think you're always
going to battle with that no matter what size you are.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
My best mates, she's done that and she's surgery. Yeah,
and she's done that. She did that probably ran about
five six years ago because she was always a big
girl and her knees were just absent, and she's a
nurse and she just found problems with her knees and
just was just not good for her health. So she
went that rate and then she she lost like good sixtyilo.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
It's amazing though, Yeah, but I just want to know
the long term benefit, like long term effects of it.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Don't you still like the surgery You get a smaller stomach, yes,
if you take the shots, yes, Do.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
You then just go back to wanting to eat what
you always ate? Once stop? How does that work? And
are they like one hundred dollars each a week. Yes,
I know, so we do. It's just an interesting topic.
We thought we'd talk about considering that all I think
about is food at the moment, right from all and Danna,
what's your experience?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Well, look, I have actually had a zim pic. I've
used that. Look, the first time you use it it
you think it hasn't done anything, but then you'll either
be throwing up a couple of hours later because you've
maybe had so much to eat, the stomach's been thrown
has shrunk. So if you do if you do eat normally,

(03:37):
you feel like you're going to throw up, and some
people have thrown up. But you have to also do
it once a week. So there's four tablets, four you
get a needle, four jabs, and you do it weekly,
so you have to do it on the same day
every week.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah, and so what was your experience did you Did
you lose weight?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I lost weight. That's really great to do lose it,
but if you do stop, you will start putting it
back on again.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
And the reason why you're thiwing up is because you're
trying to eat as you were would normally and you're just.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, you've got full at all. That's really crazy. But
because you have gotten full, your stomach will just reject
some of it and you'll end up throwing up.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh wow, thanks for the call.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, cheers Melinda from Banoa. Do you know anybody that's
used o zempic.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Yeah, I do. I know a lot of people, and
I've spoken to a lot of people, I guess also
in the work that I do, and it is very
effective and it works. Basically, it's slows your metabolism down,
so food will take longer to digest, which means you
feel fuller for longer. But then that can also come

(04:51):
with problems, you know, like in constipation and things like that.
A lot of people say they feel quite nauseous, especially
at the start with it. But one of the main
things that it does do for a lot of people
is it stops the food noise in their head where
you're always.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
In a Yeah, okay, that's good.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
But you do find that your body builds up in
tolerance so that you do need to go upper dose
and then you'll go after a while, you'll go up
a dose. Now that becomes more and more expensive.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Okay, I was just going to ask you about the price.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, the prices it's hundreds of dollars and then it
goes up the more that you get. Now, when you
do stop it at some stage, I guess unless you
want to be on it for life, then that will
all stop as well.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Okay, right, okay. What kind of work do you do, Melinda.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I actually work with a lot of doctors and my
main work is in pathology.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Right, okay, cool, all right, thank you as man.
