Speaker 1 (00:00):
When you're on the phone to someone you may not
know them at all, but sometimes you kind of revert
back into how you would actually finish your phone call
with a friend or family member, so you're just on
the phone. Yep, thanks so rosy, I'll look into that investment.
Thank you very much. All right, time to go okay,
love you by, And then you realize that you just
said love you to the telemarketer who called you slightly awkward.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I think Raezy my wife, she's done it a couple
of times. She's an accountant, and then she'll work to
the phone. But when she says that she'd just been
talking to me on the phone, she goes, I just
told someone else I love them. Oh, Or you never
let your better half answer your text messages. Like I
was driving one time and at the time I had

(00:42):
a pet called Jared. He was asking if I was
going to turn up tomorrow, and I said, yes, Bria,
can you just send a text and say yeah, I'll
see you tomorrow yeah, And then she would right back, yes,
can't wait to see your beautiful buddy tomorrow. I love you,
and then he'd go what and then go hello Raazy
sessions canceled.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Now the other things, Well, when you're at school and
you called the teacher mum, Oh you don't live that
one never.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Dad?

Please all moments, awkward moments, I love you to strangers, right,
love you bye, love you, thank you so much, love
you bye?

those awkward situations? Melinda from Banal, what happened to you?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So my partner had sent I thought he had sent
me a message that was quite racy and you know,
thanking me for the night before, but didn't advertently sent
it to his daughter actually in the next room. She's
twenty one at this stage. Minutes he realized and was screaming,

(02:02):
don't open it, and she's.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Like too late.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Oh yes, So they were very embarrassed, could not look
at each other for ages. I of course thought it
was hilarious, and so, of course, ever since it's I
keep saying, Okay, Juliette, we'll text you, she goes, no,
don't text.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Me, write me a letter then I can burn it.
Kelly from upper Camera what happened.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
A couple of weeks ago. I was at Plass. I'm
a teacher, and I had a couple of students stay
back and they were talking to me at the end
of lesson, and I had my other classes wind up
waiting for them to leave, and I was like bye
bye bye, as I do to my kids at home,
and I accidentally said bye bye bye.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I love you.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
She said you love us, and I was so embarrassed,
and I felt book grade with Kelly.

Well? Look, I worked in a call center and it
was a probably a call center where people might bring
up for a lot of issues. This one was making complaint. Yeah,
I was in public transport. He was making a complain
about something and it was giving it to me absolutely
royally and just not in the best mood. And as
I said, looked all that's everything he goes. Yet that's fine,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
