Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the first day of bike Weak. Bye Quick, Welcome
bike Week. By Quick. We are talking about your biggest
bike stacks, all thanks to bike Quick. It all comes
about because I was talking about how I used to
ride around on my bike with no hands, and then
we're talking about the bigger stacks that you've had on
your bike. So my biggest stack on a bike. I
was going down my lane in my hometown. It was

(00:22):
wolf from lane. There was a little bit of a
decline and I was picking up speed because I was
on a ten speed bike, so I was using the
hardest gear so you could pick up a lot of speed.
And as I'm traveling down got to the end of
the lane, there's a little bit of water in the
gutter going past the end of the lane, and I
completely forgot My lane leads onto a main road cart
come in the opposite direction. I slid the whole bike out,

(00:44):
slammed on the brakes and then slid the bike and
myself left leg and gravelrash on all on the bottom
part of my leg. It absolutely caged. Absolutely again. Carl
took out my back tie of my bike because it
ran over a little bit. Well, I'll be walking back home,

(01:06):
limped all the way back home. Mom said, what's going on?
Poured water and dettole all over my Let the gravel
out she picked at. Ah, just wash it out, you'll
be fine. So yeah, that's how we used to get
gravel out at Broken Hill. So we're talking about your
your biggest bike sacks that you've ever had.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I started riding a bike to work when I was
doing breakfast, so I got really into riding bikes like
this way before children. And we used to live on
the Gold Coast Highway. So I would ride into where
the Sea Bank building was at like four o'clock in
the morning and I would do it all there was
like a fitness thing, and I was doing it every
every morning and that when coming home and that was

(01:48):
all good. And one afternoon I was driving, I was
riding home and a car came out from one of
the underground buildings, like the reidation buildings, and they've got
the basement area. He came up and it just would
have clipped me like slightly, but I would not get
look back on a bike again after that. Really, I
literally was that scared because he came up out of

(02:10):
nowhere and I was sort of peddling and then boom,
So that's yeah, I haven't.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Obviously he was in the wrong because he didn't give
way and then took your bike.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Hair.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Well, let's just say he was well I mean, yes,
definitely officer.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
So he was because he was, yes, he was.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I kept it all right.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Well, let's kick off bike week.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Then Sammy for Mada. What happened?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
I was a little five before year old girl and
my Nanna, my great granny, came out and said, hey, Sammy,
do you want to go to the toilet before we
go to the movies. I was like, yeah, no, I'm fine,
but none, check this out. And I slid down a hill,
split out and burst my cheek open on a toba
with my face open. Oba. It was like my cheek

(02:53):
had a mouth. A way to describe that, and then
and then the top it all off. I got to
the clinic because it was back in the day when
we had clinics. Yeah, and I got out of a
car and slam my fingers in the doors, got my
dog bit me on my knee. At least you forgot

(03:17):
about the sore face.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, yeah, dog was hanging off you.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
My god, oh my god, thank you?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
What a way to kick off bike wake bike wakeling
different parkwood bike stacks please for bike Week. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
I thought the hand of us with my bike and
both at the same time, and now I thought I
could you jaw from it?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Oh my god?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
So did you slam the brakes on it? Did something
hit you?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:49):
It was pretty much that I'm going to choose my
brakes out of the massivest hill that we used to
find our bike zones Cotex but the massive driveways that
was huge, come down onto the stack and at the
bottom I kind of freaked out, sided to the brakes
the last weecond and over the handle brun and landed
with the bike spinning on top of me, subbing out

(04:12):
all the kids on the being.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Like how for letting get up?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh bell, Jesus ouch, thank you Kim from Watch Your
Bike Stack.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Back when I was younger. I managed to get the
cantle of my overalls stuck in the bike chain, not
realizing I've got a turn of corner control, skin it
across the concrete, grazed all up my leg and my arm.

(04:48):
How much did it sting a lot? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Did the overall survive? I live another day? The overalls
did your.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Or anything crime.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
I think, so, I can't remember. I think even not
that actually, but yeah, I can't remember. I just remember
singing Todays after.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
That.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Thanks Kim.
