Speaker 1 (00:00):
I was in the work a little bit earlier, this
very early. Yeah, but I was doing some stuff with
the Brecky crew, trying to get some sponsorship for CEO
sleep Out. Got the day wrong, so that was good.
Really was on a Friday instead of a Thursday.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Well on air you said that.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, hello, it was only live. It was fine. Anyway.
I was in here a bit early and I was
annoying everybody. And then I was having a chat to
a good mate who works here, Taylor, and she was
saying she and her boyfriend, well partner, knocked himself out
this morning, so what what?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
What?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
What happened? He gets up there, he works and gets
up at like four o'clock in the morning. He starts early,
but every now and again, Taylor says, he gets up
at three am and gets the munchies, and he goes
and gets the chocolate or a packet of chips and
eats them. Oh wow, that's it. Goes back to sleep. Yeah,
and goes back to sleep. She's usually has the lights

(00:56):
on for her kids, but the lights are all off.
He was trying to use the force getting back to
the kitchen and mat and then all she heard was
a stump and something hit the ground. She got up,
walked over okay, and he's like, ah, he had a
massive black eye. He knocked himself out on the corner
of the cupboard. I've knocked myself out for a good
two minutes. I come just running around the house and

(01:18):
I hid in't you know the power boxes that sit
on the outside the house, ran around their flat. Knacker
absolutely cleaned myself up. I was probably around at nineteen.
All I remember is hitting it and then woke up
when I was on the ground, had blood gushed out
my eye. Was like, what was going on here? I
thought someone that literally just clocked me because I was

(01:39):
just running really fast. And then I woke up and
had blood gushing from my eye and everything, and yeah,
knocked myself out. For him, it would have been at
least a good two minutes because I was there for
a while.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I find people's faces when they get knocked out amazing. Yeah,
Like it's like the lights have just they've gone out,
and it's just boom, Like when you're watching boxing or something. Yeah,
and you watch them getting up down it's this there's
a peaceful look but also just fool.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Less and you're flinching and you're like going, oh, we've
seen some kids playing rugby union and they hit the
ground pretty hard and you hear the tharter and you're like,
oh my god, I hope they're right, but you can
sell there this days they try to get up and
try to play on, but they're like facing the.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Knocking yourself out actually mean like as in is it
is it like your brain just turning the light off
for a second, or is it like a neural thing,
or is it a nerve thing.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Or is it it might be a case of a
neural or a nerve thing. Just everything just shuts down.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
But then if you get hit just underneath the draw,
you get absolutely chao. I think it's Yeah, I'm not
so sure. We might have to ring someone up.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, we'll find someone smart.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I can start looking.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Well, we want to know if you knock yourself out.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Nadia Evan Mullendina, what happened?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I have a severe here of you know, the kids
plastic golf.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Sets very niche yes.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Growing up as a child, my brother thought it would
be funny to hide behind the door and I've walked
in and he has smacked me straight in the temple door,
straight between the eyes, that hard that he actually knocks
me flat on my bottom.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Oh wow, wow with the plastic correct yep.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I think we were about I was probably eight and
he was probably like six, and he gave me plastic
sept But let's say they leave good marks. They would
sore head and a sore face.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Oh yeah, when did you knock yourself out?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
When I was about eighteen, I'd been out on a
Saturday night and come home Sunday morning, felt really good,
but thought, so can't something to eat and go lie down?
And then as soon as I lay down, I'm like, oh,
I feel sick and I was going to throw up.
So I start of running down the hallway to the
toilet with my like my covering my mouth is looking
down and I ran straight into the wall for the

(04:09):
corner of the wall in the hallway. I just made
it here in a sump. I woke up on the ground.
I don't know how long I was out, but I
actually woke up on my back vomiting. Oh, and I
thought I got to get up, and my legs on
the work. I fell down, and I tried again and
I fell down. So my I hit my head that
hard that I couldn't use my legs.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Yeah, literally legless. So then I was like, so I
need to get off the carpet because I'm going to
kill me. So I had to army crawls. My army
crawled the rest of the way, and I just cut
my face my cheek over onto the tiles in the
bathroom and just circuled vomit on the tiles and I
just laid there for probably five minutes or so, and
then I could get my legs working again.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah. And then I got up and I was like,
oh my head, loveesn't look too good. And I rang
my mom, like hey, I just knocked myself and hit
my head, just like, why were you running to a toil?
I was like, I felt sick, Like why did you
feel sick? Right, Well, it was your own fault. Just
go to bed.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I think you're supposed to go to better.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But I went to work the next day not too bad.
I went to work on Tuesday and I was cleaning
someone's house and they had maggots in the court. So
I bent down to clean them up and I bumped
my head exactly where I hit it on the weekend
in the same spot on the corner of the shelf,
and it sat me on my barm and you see
the stars.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I want to know, did you land in the maggot?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
But like I saw the stars and instantly felt there.
Couldn't go to work on the Wednesday. By the Friday,
I nearly passed out. At work, they called an ambulance
because they thought I'd fractured my skull. I hit my sell.
That hit that hard, so I had to have like
X rays and scans and everything, and they're like, no,
you haven't fractured my skull. And my Dad's like, well,
at least we know she's got a brain.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh wow, such caring pairents.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
So many emotions they really were. These two are potty trained.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
It's a shame so much that comes out of them.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Else Slower and betreve
