Moyra's Two Car Crash!

Our very own Moysie has been in the news today as a random ploughed into not one, but 2 of her cars while they were parked in her street!!   Here she unpacks the whole store and what happened.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Gold Coast radio star Mora A Major has shared the
aftermath of a chaotic late night crash that left two
of her cars wrecked.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
The commission happened just.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
For your ten PM in Hope Island when a driver
reportedly veered off the road into her parked vehicles.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Okay, so what happened, This is exactly what happens.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Last night, finished at Bluewater Trivia at Eli with me
and we took a bit of a long way home,
which in retrospect was probably I don't know if it
was a good choice.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Or a bad choice.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
We got home about quarter past nine, so we were
sitting at the back and having a chat about the
day and we heard Now we're near Hope Island roads,
so we hear a lot of cars racing through that
area anyway, so we didn't think of anything of it at first,
and then pretty much to what happened was a little
blue car came flying down the back of our house.
So there's a road just right behind the house, flying

down there, and then another white car was chasing it,
so we were like, okay, that's pretty full on.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
That's not good.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
And then we heard screeching and that was the blue
car turning around and trying to get back out of
a Statewood living and then the white car screeched and
then went straight into the side of two of my cars. Now,
I don't have very good cars. This is a regular
thing that we've talked about on the radio for a
number of years.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
That other car doesn't have a great turning circle.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
No it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Now the driver tried to get out, which was the
scary part. Paul actually stopped her from getting out. She
didn't think she'd done anything wrong. She wasn't aware that
half the back of the car was actually falling off.
There was steam coming out and many other liquids from
the car that she was her car. She had no idea,
so Paul had to stop her from actually getting out
of the car. We had so many tow trucks turn up,

police turned up. I was on the phone to the police.
Were basically birdied. The I thirty was shunted by my
dad's car. So I've been borrowing my dad's car because
I'm driving around everywhere at the moment. He's got, you know,
therapies to go to and all that kind of stuff.
So his car was the one that bared the brunt
of it and like the exhaust fell off.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I know, I keep on saying that's a huge thing.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
But when you see an exhaust fall off a car
and it's just that they're gone, both of them.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Off your dad's car car?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh wow, So the toyes were actually amazing the guys
who took the cars. Last night, the girl was taken
away by police. She passed both drug and alcohol test,
but wish she was in hospital overnight, and apparently there was.
But she had been chasing that car from around the

McDonald's at Hope Island. Apparently was having an episode, was
chasing this car. This guy who was driving the car
had no idea who she was. That didn't even register away.
He was just trying to get away, and so he
raced through because he lives actually in that street. She
followed him in and then bam, there goes my cars.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
That everybody was good in your family.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Everyone was good in my family.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
The weird thing was it was fifteen minutes after Eli
and I would have got the car. So to me,
it's just one of those moments we just thank whoever
that you know, that choice was made to not stay
in the car. Not they'd sleep in my car, but
don't sleep any the car doesn't do anything.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Get mummy and wine and then talk about that day
in the car.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
So yeah, it was. It was pretty full on and
just are you good? I'm okay.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I think it's the days where because we were just
we've just been on phone to insurances. The driver was
driving a higher car, which's not from the Gold Coast.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
There's just so much to think about.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And the worst thing was having to call my Having
to call my dad was the worst because I was
just like, how do I tell.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Him that the car that I've borrowed? How did that?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Dad was hoping I was telling a joke, very elaborate,
very elaboro. So yes, but yeah, certainly seeing a different
side of things because nothing like that's ever happened to us,
Like we haven't had to go and get higher cars.
We haven't had to get and the people have been
amazing today's but we we're just in that limbo period
now that they're not good cars.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
They basically Bertie the I thirty was held together with Ferraris.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Well, it wasn't a good car, but it had a
lot offul bags of cash it did.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
It was an antique like on the outside it looked
like a box, but on the inside all the Ben said,
you did a lot of modifications.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yes, there was lots of gold.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah, like the like tops white house. That's pretty well known.
I reckon, Yes, it's very famous that car it is
and an antique for none three.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
So we are going to talk and we're gonna have
a car crash of a show today. Yea, there's really
nothing else going on in my mind. And it was
featured on the Today Show, which was even.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
A bit more bizarre.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
You're pretty famous, you are. Bertie was.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Like, I don't know she's dead or not.

We don't know.
