Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this guy is okay, let's just start this particular
conversation like this. But there is a viral video going
round of a sixty five year old grandfather. He's walking
through Yellowstone National Park and there is a bison who
apparently was on a bit of a rampage, a very
(00:20):
very angry bison. Well, there were some teenagers prior to
this advantage. That apparently that's why he got angry. But
what happens is is the bison goes for the granddad,
who's walking with his thirteen year old grandson, and so
the granddad runs off, so he protects his grandson.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
That's good.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
The bison's not happy with that. He just wants to
fling him in the air, which he does. He flings
him like a rag doll, two and a half meters
into the air. If you haven't seen this footage, it's fascinating. Now,
he did break his femur in four places. Oh, but
he's fine. He had an operation and then the next
day was walking like actually was standing.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Oh well that's good.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
That's a bit much. But yeah, we weren't know what
animal attacked you. A bison attacking your grandfather in Yellowstone
National Park sheep. Sheep? Yeah, what did you do to
deserve it?
Speaker 3 (01:13):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:13):
No, no, you know we're at a station and we
were hurting the sheep. We're helping herd the sheep. It
was a crowd of dogs there as well, and I
was nine years old and we were just hurting, so
going yeah yeah yeah. One turned around went nat and
knocked me on my bum.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
It was actually pretty good because all the station hands
are having to laugh. Come on, get up, you're be right.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
There's a sheep up my ear. I'm growing wools right now.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Like got me good because I turned my back and
then one of them goes, should never turn your back
on sheep.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
I'm nine.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
All I've seen are these guys on plates.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
I've told you about how the seagull swooped in when
I was eating food at Darling Harbor in Sydney. I
was sitting on the waterfront and it literally came in
and as I was putting food up to my mouth,
it came in and from like an inch away from
my face and stole what I was eating.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Must have been eating, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
It was just like lunch. I remember it was lunch
and it just went like between Wow, so I count
that as an attack on my food and nearly my phone.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Oh what animal attacked to you? We would love to
know it wasn't me.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
When my son was about four, we were in Centennial
Park in Sydney and he wanted to see the ducks,
but the ducks weren't interested that the geese were right,
and between eating the bread himself and the geese trying
to chase him, he didn't want to give his bread
up and ended up running away. Not wanting to give
(02:48):
his bread up and having about four or five geese
traumatized him for quite a few years.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Wow, did you yell out and drop your sandwich?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
So I give them the bread and he's like, no,
I won't.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I would have sat there and just filmed the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Well, yeah, it was about thirteen years ago, so mobile
phones were still around as prominent as they are in suitcases.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah, definitely, thank.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
You Mandy from Cooley. What animal.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
A Shetland pony? Oh yeah, well about forty years ago.
Seagulls Football Club used to have Christmas parties and they
would ask for children of the members to help with
rides and things like that. So it was a Shetland
pony little walk around the football field and then pay
(03:48):
fifty cents so whatever and have a little walk around Moll. Twice,
the same Shetland pony bit me on the back while
I was leading it with little kids on the back.
I'm dead serious. I had the big its bruises and
I was crying. I was all of like eleven, going,
oh my god, I've been attacked by a pony.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Is that how you said it?
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Oh my god, I've been attacked by a pony. Pony
bit me, Oh
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Gosh, Moira and big treads bits
