Speaker 1 (00:10):
You're listening to Amma Mia podcast. Mamma Mia acknowledges the
traditional owners of land and waters that this podcast is
recorded on Makeup is My Therapy. I'm in love, I'm obsessed,
and I don't even feel guilty a body. Hello, and
welcome to you beauty. This is the podcast for your face.

(00:33):
I'm Keilly mccarrien and I am Lee Campbell. And in
case you're new here, well welcome. It's the best place
on earth. We talk about beauty products. We give hair tips,
skin advice, makeup master classes, anything and everything that has
anything to do with beauty. Really, we are you gals
to yup your way through it, and yup we do
so on these spendy savy episodes. Oh they're our favorite.

(00:57):
We bring the products we've been testing for a while,
and one might be quite expensive or worth the money.
One might be a bargain or just something we love
that could possibly even be more expensive, something that's new
to the industry to us, and then something we've been
using for a while that we maybe forgot about and
rediscovered or loved so much to be finished. So essentially
they're the best products out there and we bring it

(01:18):
on to you four bestI is from the week. Yeah,
and it's hard. It's very hard to decide. So should
we start things off? Let's spendy Baby, Spendy Bay. All right,
let's start with your saving.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
My saving is the Bubble star you hydrating I cream.
So Bubble is a brand that I was talking about
years ago, but I had to buy everything online in
America and you yah to get here because it's well,
you probably look at it and you don't think that

(01:52):
it's something that I would want to order online because
it looks like it's for teenagers.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Is very cute. Is like all my friends tweens are
obsessed with it. Not to say it's not for everyone,
but they all wanted Bubble and it's now in price line. Yes.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
The reason that I originally ordered it from America was
because a couple of dermatologists that I really love said
that their chemical ex following was the best chemicals following
of the year. So that's why it originally bought it
from the US. Now it's stocked in Priceline in Australia.
As of last year. This is quite new.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
It is twenty two dollars.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's got a really nice blend of peptides and plant
extracts in it.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
She's not giving it to me. I'm not giving it
to you. If I just pumped this on your hand
without telling you that it was bubble and twenty dollars,
you would have thought of it. I'll pretend I haven't
had that conversation. Oh, I'm trying a new I cream.
Oh it is fragrance free, which I really like. So rich?
Can I tell you my under eyes have been so
dry lately.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
It just feels like it should be way more expensive
because it does.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It feels like the formula is just so beautiful, and
it feels it's very premium, and it feels almost like
a mix, Like it's not a really rich I cream
and that's not in a pot you can pump it out. Yeah,
but it's it's rich.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
It's definitely not a serrual because I know, I was like,
what on earth is in this? Because obviously it says
pepti and plant extracks, but what does that really mean?
So when I was looking at the ingredients, the first
one's listed water, glycerine, squalane, nice inner mine, and then
a butter. Okay, that they're the first ones, Like that
explains why it just feels.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, so oh you help, I got not got that yet,
and they like the finish is beautiful, not too greasy,
not too greasy. Obviously being an I cream you don't
really worry about it traveling. Yeah, I need that.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So twenty two dollars wohline tick tick, I haven't no
never is yours?

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Okay, so let me explain my savor, Oh, Kelly May, Yeah,
my savor is more expensive than my spendy go on,
but I'll have to tell you why later. My savy
comes with a story. My husband said to me a
little while ago, I've been using that hair mask in
the shower. It's so nice, and I'm like, we're a

(04:02):
hair mask because there's like one hundred and he said,
you know the hair scrub. And I'm like, don't you
use my scrub because I thought he was using my
Christian yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
And I just strode away, was like, I know what one?
Because you don't want to be using then, I don't.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Use my scrub. But also I was like, you have
one inch of hair, not even you have three millimeters
of hair. Why are you using a hair mask? He's like,
I don't know, I don't know if it's a scrub
or a hair mask. Was really good. I'm sorry, I
won't use it anymore. So of course I got to
the shower to see what are you using? He has
been up until that moment went I said, you're not allowed.
After I actually finally tried it. The Ovive Wellness Oceanic

(04:37):
Renewal hair mask, hair growth and scalp scrub. So it's
kind of a two in one.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Because you loved their original mask, did I? Yes, great,
that was for hydrating. Okay, so I see why he
was confused.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
I brought it in. It's kind of almost empty, but
I'm even gonna put a bit on the back of
my hand. It's a two in one, so after shampooing,
generously apply the mask to damp hair from scalp to ends.
So he got confused. But also it's both so it's
very it's gritty like it feels oh no, listen, okay,
I'm listening. But it gets rid of all product build
up oil. If you're early like me, if you use

(05:14):
dry shampoo any kind of hair styling at the scalp,
I get an itchy scalp too. But then you put
it through the whole way through it's very lightweight, and
then you rinse and it's like your hair is virgin,
most delicious, shiny silk. It's too to leave it in
as well. It goes in your condition a step. But
it's a scrub and a mask.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
So I guess by the time you finish scrubbing your
head it's done its duty as a mask as well,
because it would be longer than thirty seconds.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Well it says ten minutes. Who does that? But I
do that? So I shampoo twice, put this in. Then
I shave my legs or I don't know, pluck my
nipple head. I don't do that in shower. I lie,
I'll do my other bits. I probably do four minutes
because I don't really like who's got ten minutes that?
It's fine, let's go in before you think of it
as a conditioner. But it's being a mask and a scrub.
It is so good.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
And this is an Australian brand from Memory Good. I thought,
so you've liked a couple of their things.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Oh, I'm glad you remember it's fifty nine to ninety five,
so yeah, yes, that's extensive. Look the website's got all
the little bubbles of all the awards. It's won. You
should have a Lee Campbell approved award, right, I just
love it and thank god he said to me, I'm
using your mask, and I was like, don't use my mask,
don't use my scrub. And now that's both. It's fantastic.
Great's travel shop.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Your stash as well. Can you explain though, why is
it your saving? Explain the math?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
It's two products. If you are going traveling, you don't
have to take a conditioner and a scrub. Not that
many people take scrubs, but I do like a scrub
because I get an itchy scalp and it's like a
lot when you've got sand and yes and or just
like you know, I'm a dry shampoo girl. I love
dry shampoo. I get product built up. So it's like
a three in one, I'm saying. And it's great and
you don't need a lot. A little goes a long way. Okay, love,

(06:51):
So what's your spendy? Then my spendy is spandy show me?
Oh my goodness, I love by Terry. All right, this
is your spending.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yes, so it is the by Terry Brightening cec serum,
what on earth have they made this with?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Because actually magic. I've got the bronzing oncerell love. I've
never seen that.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
They would want it to be because wait, is it
the CC serum but the bronze one?

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Okay, so it's the same products. Okay, it's just comes
in a bunch of different shades. So depending on what
you like, you might have got it because you wanted
to warm up your skin. Well, yes, or because you
accidentally bought the darker.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I don't. I don't know how I've got it, but
I think I'm gonna like that one better. Oh my goodness.
I always hold your products ransom from me because I
like to explain them a little bit first, even though
you've already used it.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Not that color, so it hydrates the skin. It's kind
of like it says CC Serum. You would either use
it as the last sort of step like you would
do your skin care you SBF, and then you could
use this kind of like as a primer, or you
could mix it in with your foundation.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
I was thinking primer. Oh see, you don't really like
too much, do though? Can I please touch it and
then I'll hold.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
On It blurs the appearance of all of your imperfections. Okay,
it actually does it's got some sort of light reflective
technology in it. I don't even know when you just
said light you lit up, but I.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Really I think you probably just smoothed something.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
And so it's got the because it's a CEC, it's
got a color corrective formula. Okay, so it's no coverage,
but you could totally wear it by yourself. Because how
much is it? First before I fall in love with it?
One hundred and thirty two dollars, Terry, Bye Terry, by
Bye Terry. That is an expensive product. Go or use
it because you're gonna want to order it.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
No, I know, that's why I don't want to. Okay,
I'm using a tiniest amount. Let's have a lot. It's
like pearly. Oh yeah, I already love it so much
better than the bronze, because I didn't know how to
use the bronze. Ah.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
It looks like, well, the bronze I think would be
for someone with a darker skin tone because it's just
meant to color correct your own skin.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
It looks like you've done Bigram yoga for three months
and just drank water and.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
It smooths out everything. Thirty two dollars so you can
get by Terry at mecha.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Yeah. See that's a very unnecessary but so nice to
have products. Like's the point of the spending, isn't it.
The finish is quite nice as a primer exactly. It's
just be I don't know why I just did that.
I've only still got the chroam on fragrance though very rosy. Yeah,
it's not too much for me. I don't like too
much with my face. I don't. Okay, So my spendee
is here and it is fifty two dollars, so it's

(09:32):
a couple of dollars cheaper than my Sabie. I guess
it's it's not a three in one. It's a nice
to have. So I just got my hands on this.
It's the Clarence Fix makeup sets, makeup, hydrates, refreshers, and soothes.
It's not new. Do you know? I got it because
Rihanna's makeup artist. She uses it on Rihanna and I'm Rianna.

(09:53):
I'm joking, but I love Rihanna. So it's one of
those mists that you get, Oh please, may I use
Oh wait until I'm ready? Okay. You can use it
before you can use it to refresh. You can use
it to set. It's very Actually, I really quite need
it because I'm feeling dry. Although, how's how's your I
cream going? Am I looking? Julie beautiful? Thank you?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I'm surprised that Mariana's makeup artist admitted that she uses
something that isn't fenty.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
She was talking through a look she created for Rihanna
for one of those of all, Yeah, isn't it beautiful? Oh,
I'm go I need some of that years two dollars
and look there's a million sprays, but I smell oh that.
I love the packaging because I just feel like that
looks primo, a little bit old Hollywood, like you can
sit it up like that, but I like it laying down,

(10:39):
not that it matters. How really doesn't matter. No, it
looks very primo, doesn't it. And it's what how big
is that?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
It's probably the same as other ones fifty mil oh,
but it's way more compact.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Yes, correct, so you know you can get you Charlotte
cel reyes warch is amazing. I always forget the one
I love. What's that white one? Anyway, it's like ninety dollars,
so this is really good. It's my spendee. But it's
a great face mist okay, makeup face myst you've really
sold me. I'll slap you. No, no, all right after
the breakies. And I'm so new, I haven't even opened

(11:10):
it yet, the newbie anything else, it's new. Okay, I'm
going first with my newbie because I haven't opened it yet.
I hope you know how hard it was to not
open this. It's west Man Attilier. Oh, Gucci, this is
the Westmin Attilier Baby Cheeks plus face Trace sculpting powder. Duo. Oh,

(11:37):
I knew you'd like it. Wait because the face Trace
stick is the my everyday constobs and the baby cheeks
is heaven. Three duo shades Pedal, Biscuit, Chewel, Truffle, and
poppet ganash. Oh my god, those names so right here
we have that would be biscuit, i'd pedal and biscuit.
Are you ready? How much is it? Oh? It's a
billion dollars, one hundred and thirty one. Given one of

(11:58):
her products is probably like ninety I mean that actually
works out cheaper. That is absolutely outrageous. But that's west
Mainottilia and that's the market wearing. Oh my word, look
at that teeny tiny little palette. It's so pretty the pink,
so it's literally a powdered duo. For the face one
is traditionally a blush. One is traditionally a bronza. And
you sculpt in highlighted and know this is the kind

(12:19):
of product you use. Oh so creamy, it's a buttery well,
I got product all over and we touch it. So
there are one hundred and thirty one dollars. Have you
even touched it?

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Do you know?

Speaker 1 (12:33):
I'm just looking on myself. I jizzed.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
I thought, so I did a product, beauty jiz, that
is so special.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
It's very special. Imagine pulling this out of your bag.
I wouldn't take it in my bag because I break
everything and I'm not a responsible adult. But they're just beautiful,
like her products. I fell in love with that face oil,
like tinted face oil years ago, and then I had
lunch with her and I fell in love with her.
And she's a makeup artist for a million years. Who's
makeup artists that then developed products? They just na and

(13:01):
what she would be. And I don't want to age her,
but she's mature, she's thirty five, she's let's say she's
in her fifties probably google that, and just her skin
in real life she's got beautiful lines, but her skin
and her makeup, she's just absolutely phenomenal. I love all
of her products. However, the one product I don't often
use is the bronze in like their sculpting bronze. I

(13:23):
know you love that. Oh, I use it every single
time I do. So now there's a powdered version in
the same beautiful biscuit shade. Yes, because the shade is perfect,
not too orange, and it's better for beginners like me.
Thank you Gucci Westman for creating this. Sorry to everyone
who has to save up every little penny and no
you can't have mine fair enough. What's your newbie? Oh yeah,

(13:46):
you know I was going to bring this in when
you saw that it was coming out so delicious.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
All right, you're playing along at home, You're like, what
on earth have you got in your little pool? Kel
It is the Loxatan almond oil. Oh that's not new,
you think.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
To yourself, we know about that. Dah da, dah It
is the shimmering limited edition version. So this is so.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I think that the poor Australian team probably have had
a real time, because it would have come from international
who have all gone into summer's European brands, they've all
gone into summer, even in America where they're quite big,
and they were like, we're going to launch this limited
edition product. I never thought of that at the start
of Eurosummer. Yeah, alas the poor Australian market is like, hello, but.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Would you I wouldn't wear something like that on my
body in summer because I'd be wearing sunscreen if I
was exposed, although maybe out to an evening event. Yeah,
Or you could put this on over the top. It's
a dry oil, that's true. That's true. So what I.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Would say is there's no way in hell that I
would be wasting this on my body only to cover
it up.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
True.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
So I'll be using it just sporadically in sections as
we discussed on.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Monday, like tanning bit that you just show off.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Certain areas, or because it's the limited edition, I would
be getting my greedy little mits on it and then
putting it aside for summer. Or if you're luck enough
to be going away, because the thing is as well,
this is like the perfect thing to pack for Europe,
or if you are going on holidays because it's got
that beautiful light, fresh amy smell can be like scent.
It would double as a fragrance as a beautiful moisturizer.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah, it's absolutely stunning, but it's limited, so get it
if you want to get it. Well, that's why I
was like.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I think the Australian team has been like what do
we do? So they'll either still have it in stock.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
But no way that'll sell out like a sausagell things.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Oh, I'm going to put it away for summer. They're
going away for eurosummer.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I think, are you're thinking about it too much? It's
just a delicious product. Yeah, I know, I overthink a
lot of people live in Perth and in far North
Queensland and even Tasmania deserves sparkling body oil.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I do not think you could use a body oil
and Fine North Queensland ever.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Have you been up there?

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yes, you get out of the plane and your whole
body just goes. You're like the Wicked Witch and Dorothy
Wis it a pause? You just melt after the break out?
Shop our stashes or our.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Empties, shut mustache? All right, you finished not one, but
two things. I'm nearly finished the two second, okay, go on.
When I was in Paris, such a drop money there.
I was shopping because I like shopping and I like Paris,
and I was buying some drash shampoo full transparency. I've

(16:31):
never really got the first, like the original Chloran. I
was like, it kind of like it's drash shampoo, but
it doesn't blow my hair back, it doesn't even make
my way because it was like the first, so that's
all I'd used for so long, and I was like, okay, yeah,
drash whatevers. And then I was chatting to a woman there.
She was Australian but knew everything about every French product,
and I was saying, you know, I'm oily and it's

(16:51):
you know, the water there makes your hairfel different. But
I just really need a hardcore dry shampoo that understands
my oily hair. And it's like the Chloran for oily hair.
And I was like, I did not know it exists.
It's there, it's here, it's everywhere. So this is my
first empty that I bought there. And then I've been
buying so many Minis. It is how minis do they
not have big ones? They have big ones, but like

(17:12):
you pointed out and really reminded me a few months ago.
Mini's just joyful. You just have it in your bag.
I mean I have big ones at home. Yeah, exactly,
although they run out after like three and a half seconds.
It is the Oil Control dry shampoo with nettle and
vitamin E for oily hair. Ooh, that sounds good. Cheap
as chips. It is literally ten dollars and ninety nine
cents at the time of recording. Actually a lot, given

(17:33):
it's that small. Well, it's fifty mili. That's a regulars Like,
that's regular.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
It's not what if you go into any shop you
get a big two fifty meal bottle for ten bucks.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
No, I hate it then, only joking. It's really good.
It's just not cheap, that's all. Yeah, okay, it's not cheap.
But also like I've got very dark hair and it's
not tinted, but it doesn't give me white cast but
every mop like I put my I haven't washed my
hair for days. Oh, I know that you like me,
and it's fresh. Thank you. It's really good. If you're oily,
I love it. Ninety nine percent natural origin. Don't know

(18:05):
how they do that, Oh, nettle something it's great. I've
got trillions of these. Okay, good what's your shot my
stash or empty?

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Well, so they shot my stash and you influenced me,
and damn it, how did you I I'm yes, so
you might remember a couple of months ago, I don't
know when it was on the pod, Lee was trying
to convince me to give the jivanc Prism Libre glossier
and foundation ago and I remember I tried it and

(18:32):
like fell in love with it and thought it was beautiful.
But then I did forget about it, and then I
heard I must have I.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Don't know what it was.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I had someone else talking about it, and I was like,
Lee spoke about that. Oh my goodness, now I do
It's just if I listened to it, I would actually
be poor. Sorry, Oh my goodness, gievo, she how did
you do it?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
It's so good. I have two shades because I like
to just eat two things. I've got two neutral and
three neutral because I'm always asked how did I have
audio notes on the back of the neutral one? Oh?

Speaker 2 (19:07):
How have they created a product that is full coverage
but glowy and not cake at all?

Speaker 1 (19:12):
But not full full coverage like it's it's not Este
Lauda double Web. No, it's it's phenomenal. It is actual magic.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
I've got no idea how they've done it, but I
am glad that you did influence me.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
I remember it's very expensive for me when I'm getting up,
because I've bought it, expensive for friends as well, because
you know when you tell someone it's such a nice friend. No,
it's for ninety eight dollars, it's one hundred dollars. It's
because I want to prove myself right, because I do
recommend a lot of products, and obviously I believe in
them all. But like what a friend will be like,
I really need a new foundation donation, so per and
I'll be like they're like, oh yeah, yeah yeah, and

(19:48):
they'll go, oh, I bought that. Found out this other
foundation is not very good. I'm like, why didn't you
get the Jivanti? Why didn't you get the Givanci. So
I'm just like, here you go, that's really nice of you.
Well should probably stop.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
And it feels so heavy, yeah, something it would want it.
It's really good coverage, but not cake.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
It's actual magic. I don't know how it feels like
a serum, but it's a foundation, it's magic. I love it. However,
they have done it well done, Je, it's very extensive.
Go to your get it color match, don't. Yeah, go
and get color matched at your Maya or your Sephora.
Although way I did it online, did you okay? And
maybe even just go with no makeup on and pop

(20:22):
someone and walk around the shops and see how you
go before you walk out a hundred bucks. But I
love it, and I'm I'm quite oily. I do set
my tea zone and you're quite dry and we both
