Okay, all right, I don't know, but this one feels

    Speaker 1 (01:18):
Life testing testing one to three did it work? Today?

    Speaker 2 (01:26):
I'm doing a live demonstration of a trend that is
    going around on the.

    Speaker 1 (01:31):
    Internet at the moment.

    Speaker 2 (01:32):
You know how the internet loves to have different makeup trends.
We had Strawberry makeup trend by Hailey Bieber. She coined that.
You know, she also coined doughnut glazed.

    Speaker 1 (01:41):
Skin or something. She coins a lot swash is worth
over a billion dollars. Now she really is good. I
can say she's worked it well.

    Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, and it goes to this trend cycle and then
everyone goes, oh my god, this is the best thing
to ever happen. At the moment. There's a new one
that's making its way around the internet. It's called cold
    girl makeup.

    Speaker 1 (02:00):
Oh it's lost me already. Okay, so I'm just like
anything cool toned. I'm because I can't remind you think
that cold girl makeup. So I'm just thinking it's cool toned.
And I'm like, oh, on to olive, No.

    Speaker 2 (02:11):
You're wrong, you're wrong. It's not about cool toned. It's
about looking like you've just spent like three hours in
the like snow, and you've just come back in and
you've been bitten by the cold.

    Speaker 1 (02:27):
Frost bite makeup? Yeah, frost bite makeup by the cold. No.

    Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, So it's basically just making yourself look like you're freezing.
I need to see this, Yes, I need to, So
we're gonna give it a go. Okay, there's this one
girl that's on TikTok. Her name is Zoe Kim, and
she's famous for doing the cold girl makeup trend. Right.
The whole idea is that you over blush your face.

    Speaker 1 (02:51):
    You put a.

    Speaker 2 (02:51):
Heap of highlighter on, and you make yourself look like
you're glowing and your favorite thing. You don't put a
lot of eye makeup on. They actually also said don't
wear any mesca or if you don't want to.

    Speaker 1 (03:03):
    Yeah.

    Speaker 2 (03:04):
So I was like, as soon as I read that,
I was like, oh, maybe not one.

    Speaker 1 (03:08):
    You're like, gonnay.

    Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yes, but I thought, you know we're going into winter,
why I will have an open moon.

    Speaker 1 (03:18):
I'm going to give it a go.

    Speaker 2 (03:19):
I love using blush in general, so that's kind of
something that I do anyway, so I was like, this
won't be too far from what I do. Usually in
the tutorials they do the whole look, but I obviously
have a base of makeup. On this morning, I used
the Elf Halo Glow just to have the natural glow already,
and then I chout out so health. I love EL

    (03:42):
their stuff is so good, and then I used Anastasia
Beverly Hills. They've got an impeccable blurring second skin Matt
Foundation that I'm trying at the moment, which isn't really
going with the trend, but it still has like it's
not too heavy, so I went with that. And then
I've got a little bit of the Mecha max Off
    Judy Liquid Highlighter in Brons.

    Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well, I have to say, like foundation, sometimes people want
to use like foundation, right, yes, and they go with
what the look is. You have to balance it with
what your skin is. Now, for example, you've got a
beautiful glow, No one would think you had a Matt foundation,
thank you, Right, And I feel like I've got a glow,
but I've got like a blurring under my skin, right, OK,

    (04:20):
So if it balances with your skin, yeah, it just
needs to be what the end result will be. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
    That's actually very good.

    Speaker 2 (04:27):
So that's pretty much what I've got on my base,
and that's what they would recommend to. Obviously, like you said,
any foundation you want, it's fine. But when the actual
look comes into play. Is with kind of your top products,
would you say, like the blush, the highlight, I don't know.

    Speaker 1 (04:42):
All that's like you're finishing, Yes, you're finishing.

    Speaker 2 (04:44):
Details, and that's what I'm gonna do with you right now. So, hey,
got my little makeup back. She's so cute.

    Speaker 1 (04:51):
She is actually the cutest little makeup. She's so cute.

    Speaker 2 (04:55):
Okay, we've got a brand new product on the scene.
Oh yeah, girl, like an elf blush. I actually went
to an event yesterday and she taught me how to
use it, and I was like, well, this is perfect
because I'm about to you actually have to show everyone
    else how to use it.

    Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah. And cute color. That's actually like a color on
    the other video we've done.

    Speaker 2 (05:18):
    Yeah, the similar, isn't it.

    Speaker 1 (05:20):
    Yeah?

    Speaker 2 (05:21):
So this is the chemo liquid blush in the shade
coming in hot pink. Oh wow, which is cool. That's cool,
very lovely pink. Yes, it is really beautiful. So it's
kind of like a hot like I'd say, that's a
Barbie pink. Yeah, like to the tea. Right, So what
you're gonna do in the videos and in the trend.

    (05:41):
There's five steps, right. Step one is having a minimal
like eye look, which you know that involves the nomascara,
which you don't like. I've gone minimal eye look. I've
done a little bit of a bronzer there, but that's it.
And then you want a frosted highlight, which we also
have the elf halo glow here, so we're going to
add that on top. And then you want pink, glossy lips.

    (06:05):
I'm going to I've got a little bit of a
gloss in there. We'll add that in later, rosy cheeks,
which is where this comes in. And then skin that
looks like skin, tick tick tick right. The only thing
missing is the highlighter and the blush, which we're gonna.

    Speaker 1 (06:19):
Do right now. Fantastic. Okay, Oh god, here we go.
Oh no, I can't even know. It's too brand new.
Your hands are sweaty and slipping from your stress sweat.

    Speaker 2 (06:31):
One thing that I did learn last night as well,
when a makeup artist was doing my makeup is that
she uses the elf halo glow and she mixes it
with the Elf blush and it gives it a really nice, sheene,
And I'm gonna do that right now because these blushes
are quite pigmented, so are like all I find a
lot of liquid blushes are anyway, So it's nice to
kind of like make sure it's not too much. And

    (06:54):
we're gonna go little by little, okay, but the whole
point is we're gonna do a w across the face,
right So you're gonna be going kind of like with blush. Okay,
you're gonna go over your nose, up your cheekbones.

    Speaker 1 (07:08):
I mean you leave my on the floor. Yeah, well
every episode so far, you know, we've just got to
    try it.

    Speaker 2 (07:14):
So we've got on my hand, I've gone probably a
bit more halo glow than blush. We're going to mix
    it together with my brush.

    Speaker 1 (07:22):
Well I suppose you can always add more, yeah exactly.

    Speaker 2 (07:24):
But also look at the pigment on that crazy crazy pigment. Okay,
    so nice and.

    Speaker 1 (07:31):
Mixed in and I like that using a fluffy brush too.

    Speaker 2 (07:33):
Thanks, it's a blend that was not a decision made
    on purpose, but thank you.

    Speaker 1 (07:37):
Oh okay, I just go, okay, we go like this
    looks like it work.

    Speaker 2 (07:42):
Okay, So now I'm going to start where i'd usually
put my blush right, We're just going to go up here,
upper cheekbones. Quite nice upper cheekbone. That's working. So we're
going for like I've been on the slopes.

    Speaker 1 (07:55):
    I don't know, I don't know why. I'm like so anxiously,
Like I'm so excited, that's what it is. I'm like
so excited to see this. Well that looks okay so far.

    Speaker 2 (08:07):
You know, like we're going okay, so I'm playing seeing
it where I'd usually do my blush on my upper
cheek bones, and then I'm bringing it down to the
apples of my cheek. Yeah, because again, you're going to
be creating a full kind of w across your face.

    Speaker 1 (08:21):
Because it is like a stronger color.

    Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's a strong color because if you're freezing, that's the
color that it's going to be created. You don't want
subtle blush here. Okay, you're going to be a cold,
    cold girl.

    Speaker 1 (08:31):
Okay, Okay, at this point, i'd already be like getting
my fingers tapping it, yeah, blending it a little softer
like this, We've got to really just trust the process
    and lean into the blush.

    Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah, we're leaning in that's the look.

    Speaker 1 (08:45):
Okay, and I like that you've mixed the products at
the back of your hands. So if you guys want
    to do the same technique.

    Speaker 2 (08:50):
Yes, I have mixed the products on the back of
my hand. That is a very good note. It's definitely
got a glow to it, hey, with the halo glot,
which is what you want because you want to look
    like you kind of.

    Speaker 1 (08:59):
    Work well together.

    Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, they do. They work excellent together. It's fantastic. My
hand looks beautiful. Let alone my face.

    Speaker 1 (09:06):
    Let's go.

    Speaker 2 (09:07):
So I've done the left side, I'm going to do
the right and then we'll come in and do the
nose bit after. Okay, So again just starting at the
    top of the cheekbone, and.

    Speaker 1 (09:17):
You're going quite high, like going going quite like to
this kind of your temples a little bit too, Okay.

    Speaker 2 (09:23):
I am naturally where you would flush, you know, although
that is a bit higher than what you do.

    Speaker 1 (09:31):
But we've got to lead into the.

    Speaker 2 (09:32):
We've got to lead into the look, leaning into the look,
leaning into the look. So it's definitely using the same
technique as the people that draw the w with their
blush on their face. So you start quite near your temple,
go down to the apples, of your cheek, over your
nose and up the other way up to the other
side of your face and temple, and that creates.

    Speaker 1 (09:50):
A w skiing your Yes, you are, you're skiing.

    Speaker 2 (09:54):
Over your face and you're doing the exact same thing
with this, but you're just doing it with a blush
that you've mixed with a highlighter and a brush. So
we've done both sides of the face and now I'm
going to bring it over my nose. This is the
part I'm most afraid of, Okay, because this feels just
    a lot.

    Speaker 1 (10:12):
    I feel like.

    Speaker 2 (10:13):
I'm just going to do that much right now? Do
you think I need to go fully?

    Speaker 1 (10:17):
I think you need to do it like the video, like,
don't like adjust it. I think if she's got it
more than that, you have to do more than that.

    Speaker 2 (10:24):
Thank you for keeping me account.

    Speaker 1 (10:27):
Thank you. I tried to get away with that. Okay,
you chose to do this, try to get away. You're
    going to commit.

    Speaker 2 (10:34):
But okay, So then we're just going straight on the nose,
and I guess that's probably where you feel the most cold,
right So we're gonna make her red. We're going to
go in and this girl, she makes her nose real red.

    Speaker 1 (10:45):
So okay, well you gotta make your notes real red. Okay,
it's really red. It's really red. She's got a cold,
now that's red. She's do you know what? This is great?

    Speaker 2 (10:59):
I'm going to go out to my manager after this
    not feeling well a.

    Speaker 1 (11:02):
Be like, well, it doesn't mean you look sick, you
look sunburn. It's a difference. It just looks like your
manager is going to be like, have you were you
sick yesterday? Or did you go yeah, yeah yeah. Do
you hang out in the suddle bit too much?

    Speaker 2 (11:21):
I just I just flew down on my private helicopter.

    Speaker 1 (11:26):
Does she do any extra here?

    Speaker 2 (11:28):
So you've just asked if she does a little bit
on the sides of the nose, and she does.

    Speaker 1 (11:33):
    She brings a.

    Speaker 2 (11:33):
Little bit down, like it all looks consistently together, like
I'm just blending it out a bit more.

    Speaker 1 (11:39):
You can't, babe, I'm trying to make it better's just adding.
I'm just okay, you are just adding. Okay, that's true.

    Speaker 2 (11:46):
And then the last bit she comes in with her
liquid highlighter by itself. Okay, we're gonna put it on
the back of my hand, and then we're gonna just
kind of put some on the nose right just to make.

    Speaker 1 (11:59):
It real glowy. Were like the tip, Yeah, the tip
    of the nose. Sorry.

    Speaker 2 (12:02):
Then we're going to go up to your cheekbone, put
    more highlighter up there.

    Speaker 1 (12:07):
Because it's not glowing enough. And then we're going to
    go on to.

    Speaker 2 (12:10):
The other side, put more highlighter up there.

    Speaker 1 (12:13):
What do you think of this like in real life? Yeah,
it looks like you were sunburnt and the area where
you have the blush, like your foundation has come off. Yeah,
and then like the red is coming through your skin
like it doesn't like like I feel like that is

    (12:34):
the perfect explanation for me. Yeah, like that's the only
    way I can explain it.

    Speaker 2 (12:39):
So for the most part, it looks like something has
    gone wrong.

    Speaker 1 (12:42):
Yeah, yeah, it doesn't look right, like I feel like,
you know, it's like a look but then yeah, it's
a look. But I feel like I would look at
that and be like, okay, we can balance that out,
like we should, you know, use your sunburn as your
blush I foundation in these areas, would.

    Speaker 2 (13:03):
You feel compelled like if I was a stranger or something, Oh,
if you walked in the office and you're like you
saw me looking like this, would you I reckon? You
would come over to me and you go oh.

    Speaker 1 (13:13):
I would come up to you and be like, so,
what are you testing today? I hate one hundred percent
and be like, this is how you wear your makeup?
It should be Yeah. I would be like, do you
have something? Let me? Can I just flend that? Can I?
I would please? No, I wouldn't do that to a
stranger talking about it to you that would be help,

    (13:35):
and I'd be like, please help. Yeah. I would be like,
do you have a date tonight? Because if you do,
I need you to sit down. I need you to
take a seat. I feel like draws. I'm sure we've
    got some products said.

    Speaker 2 (13:46):
Can you imagine I wear underwear on my head when
I bring the date home? I wear this blush there.
That's how I really could tell, if you.

    Speaker 1 (13:53):
Know, I mean, like, guys. There is an episode where
this does a hack with undwear and a head to
reference that she doesn't just wear underwear. Oh yeah, no,
no not. There is another hack, another hack where she
makes herself like gorgeous. That's so true. The fact though,
what really kills me though, is that she's like, do this,
but then you don't even need to wear mascara. No
you don't like no, Yeah, it's so much on the

    (14:16):
center to not balance it out, like, yeah, it's a
make it. Yeah, it's too much. This is a fail.

    Speaker 2 (14:23):
Just say, I'm straight to the point, blunt, damn it.
I think I'm in the business of figuring out that hacks.
    Oh sham.

    Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yeah, not all hacks, just the world for some reason. True,
we'll see, I've got I've still got to do mo
that's true. That's so true. Okay, tell me about your
hack though. Okay, so I feel like we've been doing
a lot of hacks where we're putting like dots in

    (14:51):
the face and stuff like that. Yeah, so my algorithm
    showed me this video.

    Speaker 2 (14:55):
Okay, interesting, Actually that hack worked for me, the dot
    face one.

    Speaker 1 (15:00):
It actually works. Well, yeah, it really. That's the one.

    Speaker 2 (15:02):
I always thought all my hacks were fails, but they're not.

    Speaker 1 (15:04):
That was It's a good one.

    Speaker 2 (15:06):
So this is kind of in the same family.

    Speaker 1 (15:08):
So this is in the same family, only for eyeshadow.
So this is like an ombre eyeshadow hack. Interesting, So
what you do I've using browns because she did a
brown ombre look. Okay, so she has her eye shadow palette. Yeah,
you get your cotton tips and dip it in the
eye shadow. I start with a very dark brown, then
go to like a lighter version of the brown, okay,

    (15:31):
a medium brown, and then like a beige nude, And
it's like three dots on top of each other diagonally.
You kind of think of where you want your eyeshadow
to go, like to get that almond look, don't droop
it down. Yes, she's applying it with the cotton tip, okay,
just like you are. Just like I am. So I'm
applying it with the cotton tip and darker to lighter

    (15:53):
and darker to lighter. Then you use a cotton tip
again to blend it up. So you're kind of all
the three dots connecting them up the same color and
moving on to the next color, then moving onto the
next color, and kind of going side to side to
    get an arm ray finished.

    Speaker 2 (16:11):
Interesting, so you don't even need a brush.

    Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah, Well she didn't use a brush, so I'm like,
I will not use a brush. I will use a
cotton tip. Interesting. So you can see here I'm mixing
and blending and I'm really trying to get a flow
with the cotton tip. Yeah. I found this quite hard
to do, yep, because first of all, it's dots, Like

    (16:34):
you've got to try and blend the dots out.

    Speaker 2 (16:36):
And you can kind of see the shape of the
    dots still on your eyelands.

    Speaker 1 (16:39):
You can. Yeah, And I then was trying to blend.
You're not happy with that. I was not happy with
the where this was gone to look at my face,
and I had a lot of things to film that day,
and this is the first one I did. Oh why
did I do this? This is risky. I really put
all my eggs. He's risky. So I'm really doing my

    (17:03):
best to try and get the dots blended. Yes, And
then you can still see the dots and you can
see that the dark dots. So the first row that
    I did, the outer line.

    Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, and that never truly blended.

    Speaker 1 (17:17):
It never truly blends. I'm like, let me try the
other eye. Yeah, in case it's just you know, first
    time trying to do it.

    Speaker 2 (17:23):
    Yeah.

    Speaker 1 (17:24):
I've been a makeup artist for a very long time. Yes,
this was so annoying and so hard. Yeah. And I
couldn't truly get rid of that initial dark row. I
couldn't blend it in to be an ombre look. Interesting.
I really couldn't and like trying to get rid of
    the dots.

    Speaker 2 (17:44):
How would you propose doing an ombre look like that
    in an easy way?

    Speaker 1 (17:50):
Well, first of all, I wouldn't be doing it as
dots because there's too many things to blend. Yeah, absolutely,
it really is too many things.

    Speaker 2 (17:57):
And you're leaving them on the skin and settling them.
    It's for quite a long time, aren't.

    Speaker 1 (18:01):
You, and using a cotton tip. Why do we need
a cotton tip? Nowadays you don't need a cotton tip.
And I'm sure that this it's kind of cool look
just as the dots. Yeah, if you're doing it as
a dot, look like a cool like dot. Like you know,
you're kind of like doing like a theme thing dots. Yeah,
really cool. Actually, like just to leave it at dots. Yeah.
But in regards to like blending it and applying it

    (18:21):
as an I'm telling you the girl who did this video,
it must have taken her two hours, and I bet
you she went in with her brushes and blended this out.
It's impossible to do this with cotton tips the way
that she showed, Yes, okay, interesting and I did this

    (18:42):
on well the way she did, She's got her base done.
So I've got my foundation on my eyelads. I put
the powder on my eyelids. I put a little bit
of bronzer on my eyelids, so it's got already the
base there. I just need to add the eyeshadow and
blend it, which I normally would do. So look now
I've got my brush out. Yeah, you needed to get
that brush because it was not working. But because it's

    (19:03):
dots and it's sitting there, I think not look at it.

    Speaker 2 (19:07):
It's the second eye looks worse.

    Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yes, the second one looks worse, like look, yeah, look
at that like it's horrible. It just would not blend.
So it was definitely a fail. Yes, damn it. It's like, yeah,
one hundred percent looks like a bruise. I couldn't blend
the dots properly. I couldn't blend the rose to get

    (19:32):
rid of the lines. It doesn't look like an OMBREI
look the shape of like where it sits in the
eye doesn't look right even with a brush. Once I
finished with the cotton tips, Yeah, the brush couldn't even
blend it. I had to go.

    Speaker 2 (19:47):
Is that because you're leaving the product on your eyelid
for too long to settle into the skin, do you think, Yeah.

    Speaker 1 (19:52):
And normally the way you would apply like an OMBREI
like darker to light. Yes, just you're putting your base on.
You apply the lighter shade first to the eyelid. Interesting,
then you can go in with a darker shade on
the outer part of your eye, blend that in, and
you're doing it with like a fluffy brush. You're kind
of pressing it in, going in circular motions. Then you're
putting the medium shade in the middle or vice versa. Yes,

    (20:15):
and you're blending that out. So you're blending as you apply.
You're not putting things in a harsh line. Like it's
such a no no to put things in a harsh
line because it makes general It makes it in general
unless you're after a sharp line. Absolutely, and so yeah,
like by the time I was trying to blend it,
it just doesn't like I'm calling bs. Actually on her video,

    (20:35):
I reckon, she did the dots. This is turning out
the investigators. Yes, And on her finished product, yes, I
noticed her eye shadow has a glow on the inner
corner and eye should she applied was Matt with the dots.

    Speaker 2 (20:49):
This is what I live for, That's what I love for.

    Speaker 1 (20:51):
I became Sherlock Homes where I was like looking at
everything and I'm like, I do that. She has removed
    this eye shadow.

    Speaker 2 (20:59):
That's what we're doing here, right, yea, we're saving other
people from getting like you know, she's she's saying, look
at this, it's so easy. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, and
they go this is were like, cool, It's gonna make
    my life better.

    Speaker 1 (21:12):
    No, it doesn't.

    Speaker 2 (21:12):
We have to go in and figure it out.

    Speaker 1 (21:15):
And you waste all your cotton tip yes what the cotton?
Wasting all your cotton tis in this economy? Wasting my cotton?
I don't think so. So yeah, major fail, major fail.
I had to go to my other my bathroom because
I was like in my living room, I wanted good light,
you know, like I brought what I thought was enough.
I thought this brush it's not even a blending bruh,

    (21:37):
it's a firmer one. Because I was like, I'm gonna
need something firm over. I have to go to my
bathroom and get my brushes and really buffet out to
get as much of it off as I could. And
even then it was like doable enough for like filming,
but like it wasn't it was. If I was paying

    (21:57):
for that makeup that I did on my eyes, I
would have been like, what's this, Like it's not blended enough?
But it was just a nice ye. Yeah, yeah, I
was like enough, Yeah, okay, I had to remove as
much as I could, So I think she's actually applied
it with a brush and that's how she's gotten her
finished product. So yeah, definitely don't do this. That is

    (22:19):
a double face. It's a double fail today.

    Speaker 2 (22:21):
And I like when you fail at makeup Hacks because
you're a makeup artist and it means that it really
is a fail. Sometimes when I fail, I'm like, I
don't know, but that truly that's a fail.

    Speaker 1 (22:33):
Such a fail. It was such a fail and I
really had to It took me longer to fix than
it did to actually try it out and try and
    blend it and stuff.

    Speaker 2 (22:43):
Well that's the ultimate fail. Hacks is meant to mail
    your life easier.

    Speaker 1 (22:47):
Yeah, that made it harder. It made it harder. So
we're both make up traumatized today. Mine's still in my face.
Yeah I tried, and yeah, well I would say amateur move.
I would have brought a foundation to concealer. I did
this while I was at home. I'm not going to
do this on in the tudio. Rookie Move, Rookie move. Well,
that's what tried and Tested is all about. Sweet try it.

    Speaker 2 (23:08):
So you don't have to joy in figuring out that
people are trying to click beta us into thinks we clickbait.
