Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, straight from Podkastian to LA to Boston. On the
line right now, got a big show, got two shows?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
First of all, Just Hilarious is on the line right now.
We've been working in the same company. We have the
same boss for the last two years that you've been
with us. How come I haven't met you yet? Justs
Hilarious is on. What's up, Mama?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
What what's going on? I did not know that we
was working for the same company, we got the same boss.
I did not know. Tom give me a raise in damn.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah, man, I've been with that NB with Charlotte Made
for years now. And then the congratulations, congratulations on all
your success.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
By the way, thank you man.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yo. So how is it? Man?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
You got this two shows? You got back to back
shows in Providence, Rhode Island. You're at the Comedy Connection
on the twenty second, which is of course this weekend,
on long weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yeah, you're not hanging out with family.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
No, I'm actually not. I got two shows on Friday
at the Comedy Connection. That also got two shows on
Saturday at the Comedy Connection. And then I'm at a
bookstore doing the book event on Saturday as well. Afternoon
at one pm at riff Raff and Bar.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
You haven't been a riff Raff and bar. It's like
a book store to me. It's not right the way
if somebody go and drink. But yeah, that's what they
said in a movie.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Wow, so you're you're locked in on in Providence all
weekend long. I didn't realize it was that many shows there,
My bad, dude, Yeah that's it.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Yep, No, it's okay, all weekend long, comedy connection Friday Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Good for you.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
What was that transition? Like, you know, because obviously you're
your a night owl. You do a lot of night stuff.
But when you started doing mornings, how was that transition?
I did mornings for a long time, girl. I would
Seve Harvey's DJ back in La and then when I
got here, I was doing the mornings for what like
nine years or something.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I never got used to that exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
I was just about to ask you, how the hell
did you DJ nights and do.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Early morning radio? And unless you were going straight from
the club to the studio is no way. I don't
see how you ever went to sleep.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
That's exactly what I did because I was single at
the time, so I would. I would have literally a
bed in the studio and I would knock out for
a few hours, and I would I would do the
morning show after that.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
That's crazy, But I'm glad you told the truth about it.
You said you never got used to it. I have
not gotten used to it yet. And then it's my
third year. Man, I'm trying to figure out how Charlemagne,
Envy and Angela did that for so long.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Right, especially Envy, because that dude he does like four
or five clubs.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
A night, yes he does.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
And then he got six, seven, eight nine kids.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'm like, yo, how are you? How are you up?
You know, like, why are you not a zombie? Right now?
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Well, we always joke with him that he has to
be in the clubs because of the seventh, eight nine kids.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Because of the kids. Yeah, that's right, that's right now.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
It's about just Hilarius right now.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Obviously a huge comedian, but obviously the breakfast club too. Man,
you got a bunch of shows going down this weekend
at the Comedy Connection, Rhode Island.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
What are we touching base on?
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Man? So this this tour is called Don't Play with Me.
Last year, it's a lot it was a lot of
people playing with us. And when I say me, I'm
you know, don't play with me, I mean that for
the entire like people just black people, white people, whoever,
you know, cause this government that we're under, this this
authoritarian regime that we under, or they playing in our
(02:56):
feace last year and this year. So I'm not going
to be talking about politics. I'm just going to be
talking about the aftermath of President Trump and like you know,
just bringing light to people's lives because and in midst
of all this KO show, that's all we can really
do a way be stressed out.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
All we got to do is laugh.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
I'm gonna be talking about since I just dropped my
new book so that after we parent, it's the co
Parents and Memoir. I'm also going to be talking about
my experiences raising my son versus raising my daughter who's
one year old. Man, I got a fourth year old
and a one year old. I cannot believe I started over.
I let it dude, shoot the club up, bro, And
sometimes I feel like I was tripping because these little
(03:35):
kids like no limit soldiers show they want everything from.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
You, and you feel like when you got the fourteen
year old, you're like Okay, cool, I can go back
to my career there with the Breakfast Club. Now you
got you got the book. You're even doing voiceovers with
Kevin Hart on his some of the stuff and then
to start all over.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
I mean, that's props to you. But that's gotta be
a lot.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
It is a lot. It's a lot. But I tell
you what, I ain't like envy. I ain't got six
of them. I only got to I'm good. I can
still be a little busy.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I love it. Well, you're definitely super busy, man.

You would be anybody else that used to be in
the studio with me. Or not.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
I know, and see that's where radio has come to now.
I was like, yo, but this is the thing because
I do radio too.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I can't fly. I couldn't fly in and sit down
with you in person.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
I hate. That's the only thing about me doing radio
that I can stand because I used to do in
person radio interviews all the time to promote my shows.
But now I can't cause I gotta travel after.
