Speaker 1 (00:03):
All right, good luck y'all. Cash is the keyword. Let's
just take that money right out of the gate. We
want one of you guys to win, all right, so
we prepared to anslophone. About an hour afterwards, take the
word cash over to rear radio do FM and you
could win. What's up? I'm rush along with Angel Romera
(00:23):
and now it's time for Ryan to bring in the
nerdy news.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Hey, nerdy news brought to you by.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
That mortgage guy Don from that mortgage guy Don dot com.
More on that later. What a fun time to be
a nerd, everybody. It's been an enjoyable experience. I enjoy
nerdy stuff, from the superheroes all the way into science.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
It's all. It's all fun for me.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
And shout out to our little engine that could, the
Voyager spacecraft. That little thing has been going since the seventies.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's still going.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
It's still going and now, as of I think yesterday,
it's officially one light day away from Earth. That means
it would take the speed if you're traveling at the
speed of light, it would take a full twenty four
hours for you to reach where the Voyager spacecraft is.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Wow, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
I wish you know what what if like all of
a sudden it hit It was like it hit something
that was kind of like mud or something.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
It's like like, oh, there is hit the wall of
the simulation.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, there is, there is an end to the universe,
but you know.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
It's got a long way to go to hit that.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I think our nearest local, our nearest you know, galaxy
is four light years away and it took fifty years
to get to one light day away.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
How can infinity be reality? You know, like you know,
like how.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Can see this is the four to twenty stuff? If
that's the stuff I think of, Like, how can infinity
be reality?
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I mean, at some point it'd be cool to like
we're passing Earth again. We thought we were going. I
don't know, it's just weird to think that there is
no stop.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Too, no shop, can't stop, won't stop smoke shop. That's
what it does, man. And it's already gone way further
than it was ever supposed to go. And they had
to do something recently where they had to turn off
one of the things of the like the sensors that
it collects. Yeah, because it runs off of like it
makes its own power. It's running off of decaying plutonium.
(02:27):
But it loses a little bit of power each year.
It loses about four watts of power each year. So
to save energy, they turned off some of the systems.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
How long will that plutonium last?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
That's a great question.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
The scientists literally don't have a great idea on the
answer that.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
But it's already way outlived its life.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's past that not only our solar system, but that
like weird belt that's around our solar system, and went
through that and they got readings for it. I'm always
proud of that little voyager spacecraft.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Man.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
How are we still getting data back from it?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Because it's still transmitting radio waves?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Broye week So radio waves and uh prime messing this assop.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
We've been sending radio waves out into the universe saw forever.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
But he says one light year away. So in order
to get radio waves, no.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
One light day away.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
One light day away. So to get radio waves, I
think it.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Takes a couple of weeks to get actual the information
back at this point.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
So radio waves are faster than LF, lower than light,
slower than light.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
So it's so, how are we.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Getting it back because it's sending them like back to us.
It's it's the little satellite dish is still pointed right
at Earth, so it's it's sending out the signal back
to it, and they can control it too, but it
takes like weeks at a time to get like one
signal out.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Voyager one, located over fifteen billion miles away, communicates with
or the via a faint twenty three watt radio signal
that takes over twenty two point five hours to travel
one way. Despite aging systems and recent technology glitches. The
probe transmits data using a eight point four gigahertz transmitter
(04:00):
received by NASA's Deep Space.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
And it was made in the seventies, fifty years ago
this thing started. That means they were used that they
started it in the sixties. And that one always blows
my mind because we're trans we're one hundred thousand watt
radio stations.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, you're getting it here in Florida, but it's going.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Out and number one with oh with the alphisenturres one
number one. I always think that's so fun, Like somewhere
out there, somebody like light years away, are getting like
the Russ and Bow show, like real time right now,
because to them, it's nineteen ninety six, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
So it's it's a good time out there to be
in space.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I love space stuff, man, but I'm also scared of
it because there's this thing.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Have you heard of? The Fermi paradox? Russ What the
Fermi Paradoxmi?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
It's basically the it's one scientist theory on why we
don't find other life And it's essentially two things happen.
One one e their planets and other civilizations are purposely
masking themselves and hiding from a much more advanced civilization
that would come they found us, they would come and.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Like destroy us, okay.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Or it's that like civilizations always get to a certain
point as far as like you know, their evolution and
technology and everything, and then they blow themselves up. And
that's why you never hear from them.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
So they've all blown themselves up and were the last
ones standing.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, So they always think like technology and stuff always
gets to a certain point and then by the time
it has the technology, you also get the technology like
nuclear to blow yourself up. So they all inplode. I
don't know, I don't know how I believe in any
of that, but we will find out also this week.
We didn't really talk about it at all. But you
haven't watched the new season of the Boys, have you?
Speaker 1 (05:46):
You know what you want to it's not It's not
my thing, guys. It's just too gross.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
There's nothing super gross about this season right out the.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Gate guy beating a guy to dead with his wiener.
I don't need to see that. I don't need that
in my head.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
To be fair, The wiener in said scene that you're
talking about is so big and comical it doesn't even register.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
As the wiener in my brain. As weird of a
sentence as that is.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Look at you. You ain't seen me naked.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Unfortunately, I have a couple of times, one on a
ring cam video where you went ben over full bh out.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
So I've seen it. I'm really liking it. This is
the last reason the boy.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I think Homelander is a really cool, interesting villain.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
He's played like a psychopath.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
So should I try it?
Speaker 2 (06:34):
The actor might also be a psychopath too, But I.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Watched the first episode. Should I try the second episode?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Give it a shot? Give it a shot.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
You don't like it, you're not digging it?
Speaker 4 (06:44):
No, I'm I don't think you're gonna like it.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, it's I don't know, violin the.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Two graphic, it's all the two's that he.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
I don't like.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Yeah, and how about occupy his mental space?
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah? You know what everyone's saying is great, and I
once again I can't stay. I can't pay attention to
it is a Daredevil. I haven't even watched it really, Yeah,
are you liking Hey, I'm digging it.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
For some reason, I haven't watched it yet. That last
weird half a season kind of took me out of it.
So maybe I'll go back into I.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Know, Danofrio is amazing. I like the guy playing Daredevil.
It's just there's a lot of in between stuff that
I get bored. I want to see Daredevil fighting some wedding.
That's what I want to say.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
It's it's an oborous that's It's a great career.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
I didn't I forgot until the like the weekend I
saw screen cap of it. It was just talking about
Vincent Diinofrio talking about his different roles and my favorite
Vincent Donofrio is from Men in Black, where he plays Edgar.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yeah, that's a good one. That's a really good one.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Possessing the body of Edgar, and you're like, oh, you
want me to put my health my hat.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
I'm like, oh, that's anophrio. Look at that.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
By the way radio waves travel at the speed of light. No,
that's what I'm That's what the texting service is telling me.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
That can't be true. That's why I'm.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Saying, if we're that far, if he keeps going for
that far way, how could the radio waves not take
that much time to come back?
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Twenty two hours for it to come back. That's that's
what I was leaving to day.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Okay, so it takes.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Anyways travel the speed of light. Interesting, Well that makes sense.
Vacuum like space.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, so it takes twenty four hours at the speed
of light to get where it's at. Okay, that makes sense,
all right, I get it.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
It's twenty two point five hours that we get a
signal from from the voyager one.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Hell yeah, monsters at light speed. Well that made me happy.
I did not know that. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
A person who texted that is it's.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
So many from another planet found that. How would would
they know how to?
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Like?
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Here's that work?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
So they signed it says one button here exactly.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
The closest galaxy that would get our signal would be
Alpha Centauri and it's four light years away already number one,
So that means right now today they'd be getting a
show from four years ago.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Oh wow.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, so they don't even know about Carlos and Sabrina yet.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Don't tell him.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
We need we need monster shirts number one in alf.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
The best show.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
We need that. We need to sign for that.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Love it.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
That's what the Jupiter two was going to Alpha Centauri.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Also, Russ, your Batman too. Batman two is still in production, believe.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I can't wait. When's it coming out?
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (09:23):
You know, I don't know if they have an official
date yet because they're still very much in production.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
But they just added someone to the cast to I'm
a big fan of. And that's that's the actor Charles Dance. Russ,
you know Charles dances.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
He has he has a Pontiac dealership.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Charles Dance.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Funny tires are pretty Uh No. He played Taiwan Lanister
in Game of Thrones. If you remember, he was the
older dad of of Terry and old guy, mean old guy.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
He was the head of the Lanister household.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Yeah, that guy, don't remember it all.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
He was the one who was shot by a little
person Tyerean l on the toilet.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah, with a crossboat.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Taking a dump and the and the and the in
a little short guy him.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
But he's an amazing actor.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
I've gone back and watched him his other stuff and
it's incredible.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
His acting shops. So there you go.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
So now you got yet Charles dance with Robert Pattinson,
who is a really good actor, surprisingly coming out of Twilight.
Robert Pattinson is awesome. And also Scarlett Johansson supposedly on board.
Yeah it's not fully confirmed. Yes, she's in every.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
And then she's gonna be playing the wife of Sebastian
Stan who played the Winter Soldier. But I guess he's
he's being Harvey Dan Harvey Dant Hey Boiler, He's Harvey Dent. Okay, well, okay,
so it'll be a good movie. I went back and
watched The Batman again a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
It's good. It's still not my favorite Batman.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
You got a white and for me, I just had
to be able to read the subtitle because I didn't
know what they were saying when I saw the movie
and it's it's it's more of a movie detective movie
than it is a superhero movie. Right.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
And the last piece of technology news.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
If you want to get a college degree, now is
the time to do it. Why because you can go
online and basically run speed run several degrees right now.
Because there's a huge problem with these online degrees. People
are getting degrees super fast because of why chat ept.
They are one cheating their way through these online courses
(11:25):
and getting degrees at like light speed. Well of course,
and they're learning nothing and they're gonna be hired and
be found out as frauds in the workforce. But right now,
if you just want to get some certifications, boy, is
this a problem right now for universities and the job
world any of.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Those like it technical jobs or are the security jobs and
everything where you can just run through it, get the
certifications and then I mean, you're gonna get a job
somewhere and someone's gonna find out real quick.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
You have no clue what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Yeah, but some people will fall through the cracks and
this will work in That is the nerdy news for you, Russ.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
And you've just heard the.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Nerd thanks to that mortgage Guy Don from that mortgage
guy Don dot com, who is a nerd for mortgages
and he's got the compare quot calculator.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
And that's just him a nerd for mortgage.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
He is a nerd for mortgages. He loves it. Give
him a follow on social media.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
It's case it makes very funny social media videos about mortgages,
which is hard to do. So follow that mortgage guy
Donna Instagram and Facebook and check out a show on
Saturday from nineteen ten thirty here on Real Radio and
show it's shell Nerd.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Hey, so the keyword right now is cash for that
you know, to win one thousand dollars. If you want
to try, if you've never tried before, all you do
is just, you know, take the word cash over to
Real Radio dot Fm. Plug it in there, just type
it where it's you know, it says win one thousand
dollars and then wait to get an If you get
a phone call from a number you don't recognize, pick
up the phone. We'd love to see you win a
(12:42):
grand Our listeners always win most of the money. That
is a national contest. But we always are in the
lead because you guys are awesome, and you're actually paying
attention to what we're saying, so we appreciate that. But
let's see somebody win a thousand dollars. You'll be able
to try to do it all day long. Right here
on Real Radio one oh four point one. You're listening
to the Monsters the Morning.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
About you burn it, Come and think about the mask.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Cut it, get a buy Upcuse it's the best time
you talk.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Some coming. It's a work in progress, but it's better
than what you got.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Ryan by go.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Outside her, get out, go and got time to be
distracted by your worth.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
This China's gone come.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
To you.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
How it's all about.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
She's never gonna lose on.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Don't make me want to shine. It's not it is
no Hey, what about it? The Monster's Mornings. We're Radio
one up four point one broadcast live and iHeartRadio. Get
your tickets for the uh the Monster Brew Bus would
leave it on May the second. Pretty much all of
us are going. We want you to join us. We've
already sold out one bus, working on the second bus
(14:01):
and you'll have an incredible time. We're going to three
great breweries. You can go to Real Radio, dot FM,
Slash Brew to get your tickets. Big thank you to
just call Mo, Who's gonna make sure you get all
kinds of really cool uh Mo merchandise that day. Yes, wag,
it is the day of the Kentucky Derby. So I
think we're gonna derby up some of us. You don't
have to, but if you want to, we're gonna be
giving away prizes for the best Derby hats and all
(14:21):
that kind of stuff. And we're gonna end up at
Tiffany's bar. And she's got a like a like a band.
It's a badass band that everybody loves, like a Beatles
cover band.
Speaker 6 (14:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
They're gonna be doing stuff. It's just gonna be a
great day, So join us in the next couple of weeks.
Uh Okay, I want to tell this story just because
it's uh uh. Sometimes sometimes I think things aren't coincidence.
So there is a story about coincidence or is it
meant to be or just happenstance or whatever. So for
the five percent of you that hate wrestling, it's not
really this story is not about wrestling. It's about coincidence
(14:53):
or how things work out right. So one of the
things that I love doing with this show is when
you know, we have singers giving them a platform that
they never would have before, like Savannah Savino or even
Jeff Howell or Bubba or other people. You know, won Brianna,
She's got a new song that's out so so giving
people a platform and say, hey, man, you wouldn't have
(15:14):
been noticed or whatever. But I think I got a
big thrill when Rob Thomas was on, and you know,
he ends up making it really big and it's just
kind of a cool thing to think. Man, we gave
him a shot first. Same thing with Blake today. We
had in uh not be b caliber dream a little,
you know, and and for her to be able to
get some attention or whatever, you know with this platform,
(15:35):
and we get to meet a lot of really new
cool people by giving people an opportunity. So one of
the things I've been doing is the thing with the
professional wrestling. I love it because I know what it's
like to be an independent wrestler. I've done it, I
did it for a while. I know what they make,
I know they bust their ass and if we can
give them a little bit of attention, it's cool, right.
So you know, i'd love to see Ambernova you know,
really make it one day, or Teal Piper get to
(15:57):
you know, get to the Big the Big Show, or
even HollyHood, aly Ja or anyone that we've given attention to.
You know, I want to see him make it. That's
kind of the fun I get out of it. And
along the way we get to meet him and have
fun with him and goof with him and everything. So lately,
the Champion has been on ITX the one and when
Onyx came in first time, he didn't say a whole lot,
but he's he's now, he's getting he's getting looser, he's
(16:18):
getting more comfortable, and he's a really good dude. I
just want you all to know that, whether he's he
does a heel or whether he does you know, baby face,
the guy is like a really good guy that we've
been working with and the audience seems to really enjoy
him now, which is cool. And he's got a big
match next week. And he's a guy that busts his
ass all the time. He's working construction and then he
(16:40):
gets up early in the morning to work out, and
he's going to these schools because he wants to be
a professional wrestler. That's his dream so he can support
his family. It's just, you know, an awesome story, and
anything I can do to help the guy out, I
want to do. So we've done some other things and
he's going to be able to be like the main
event at this or one of I think one of
the main events at this Daytona beach show and a
lot of other stuff. So anyway, with all that being said,
(17:02):
he went out on Saturday to Gator Harley Davidson and
that's the main sponsor for the Leesburg Bike Festival, and
he did a bunch of photos and stuff with the motorcycles.
I think he ended up even getting a motorcycle. But
you know, so he got some exposure there, some you know,
modeling or whatever, so kind of helping him that way.
So I'm flipping around on TV on Saturday and I'm
(17:25):
looking for I actually I was looking for WrestleMania, but
this thing came up and it said the Wrestler the
QT Marshall Story, Like, oh.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
What's that.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Well, it's an old documentary. I hadn't seen it before,
had some time to kill, so I started watching it
and basically, it's the story of an independent wrestler that
everybody's telling him, hey man, you need a probably to
find something else to do because you're not going to
make it in wrestling. I mean, you know, he's a
really great wrestler, but he's probably not going to make
it to WWE. And they show him going through a
(17:53):
workout with Gerald Brisco and then they reject him. They're like,
you know, and his wife is wanting him to go
back to work at the the snap On tool company
that her dad owns, and they want him to find
another job, and it's like kind of they're kind of
discouraging this guy, and he's like, this is my dream,
this is what I want to do. And so I
halfway through, I'm like, I get the gystup it. I
probably won't stop watching my God, Now, let me just
(18:14):
go ahead and watch to the end. So I watched
to the end. And when you watch to the end,
you see that he didn't make it to the Big Dance.
He didn't get what he wanted, and it was almost
like a sad story. And then they jumped to a
year later, and a year later, he decided to quit
the snap On Tool company and go work for somebody
in Georgia and he started a wrestling school in Georgia
(18:38):
with and then they show ray Lloyd and I'm like,
oh my god, I know ray Lloyd. Ray Lloyd. It
was Glacier from the WCW. He's in my phone. I've
known this guy for a long time. Yeah, he's been
in here, he's been in here. He's a great, great guy,
and he and ray Lloyd have this school and I'm like,
oh my gosh, I think I was meant to see
this because I've never asked a favor of ray but
(19:00):
I'm gonna ask him what can I do to help
Onyx make it to that at the next level. I
text him and within seconds he texted me back, Hey, Russ,
how you doing. Hey, what's going on here? And he
ray Lloyd now is one of the guys that helps
TNA Wrestling, And so I asked him if he's still
doing the wrestling school with this guy TJ Marshall. He goes, oh, yeah,
(19:21):
well we do what we were and we also took
on another partner and we changed the name of the
wrestling school. I'm like, oh, what is it. Well, it's
the Nightmare Factory now because we're partners with Cody Rhodes.
And I'm like, you got to be kidding now, you
got to be kidding me. I'm like, well, well, of
course we all know the Cody Roads is that now
he's the world Champion's a super big deal. And I
(19:41):
asked him, I said, would you mind taking a look
at this guy on next to one? I wouldn't ask
you about you know everybody and everyone I've met, but
this guy, I really think, how's what it takes? And uh,
and Ray said, We've already been looking at it because
I saw your stuff on Facebook. I've already been looking
at him and I want to take a look at him.
Would you mind if I come out this Friday and
(20:02):
like a scouting report kind of thing and scout Onyx
the one I said, would I mind Ray? For God's sake,
You'd be doing me a huge favor. There's a really
good dude that he's got the work ethic. And so
Ray Lloyd is going to come out with some people
from from TNA to do a scouting thing this coming Friday.
So uh, it's this is going to be a big
match for both of the guys, actually, for for Niles,
(20:25):
Niles Cruz and Onyx to put on the best damn
show they can ever think of because uh, this guy,
uh q T. Marshall is now vice president of TNA Wrestling.
Everybody told him to quit. Everybody told him you shouldn't
do anything to do with wrestling. He never made it
as a wrestler, but he is now vice president of
(20:45):
TNA Wrestling, which is a really cool story about sticking
to what you love and doing what you want to
love to do.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
That's like, it's about a cool story in the sense
of being flexible, because that's what happens. Let's say, for example,
in this industry. You know, there's the industry, our radio industry.
You know, you know, every intern that came through here
back in the day, everybody wanted to be the star
or the man or whatever on the air. And one
one of the things that I've always told guys is, hey, man,
be flexible. Yeah, there's there's a lot of ways to
(21:14):
stay in this industry, to do different things, working, promo,
working whatever, you know. That was that was my personal experience.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Anyway, Yeah, you're right, and he did have to learn
to to It's not what he actually wanted to do,
but he's now doing something better than he ever thought.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
And uh, life closes the door it opens a window,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Yeah, so, uh so, honestly they're gonna And I asked
him about having someone on one time with Onyx and
chatting with him and telling them, hey, what he needs
to do to actually make it. And there he's willing
to do that for me.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
So what I'm hearing is we got to go extra
hard in Leesburg.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Well, he's got to extra hart in Leesburg for sure.
I mean lay it in for the best, the best
damn show you've ever put on. And uh and uh it.
You know, Onyx is thrilled, he's you know, he's obviously excited.
And uh and so is Nile's Cruise, the guy he's wrestling.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Heck yeah, okay, where are we at on the Leesburg
little people? We've got any texting about?
Speaker 6 (22:08):
Then?
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Anybody?
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Uh if you can find some little people that'll dress
like tunea Tim, yeah, I swear. And by the way,
the people from TNA will be seeing tunea Tim this.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Uh No, you think I don't know that they're going
I'm going hard.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
I gotta find a professional face painter because I need
to get it done. I don't want I don't want
to be looking and busted this time either, well.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
All the people wrestling this Friday and they're gonna Ray's
gonna be there with some TENA people like for the
entire time. So for Poppy d for j C. Love,
for the people that are wrestling this Friday, they will
get you. Check it out.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah, I allowed to sell merch.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, okay, that is awesome. Oh wow, this
is this is very cool. Uh uh hold on, angels
trying to trying to work it out for us right now?
Hold on, I think well, I think it's from the Sopranos, right, Steve,
(23:08):
Steve Sirippa from uh I remember from the Sopranos. Steve,
how you doing, buddy? Oh they're connecting him, Steve, can
you hear me, buddy? Hello, Steve, I'm trying to get
a connection. Hold on. Oh my gosh, that's Bobby Bobby
(23:30):
right for the Sopranos.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
I don't know, I've never seen you, never seene Sopranos.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Bobby Bacola I think was his name. Uh, and one
of one of the best characters in that experience. I
gotta I gotta wonder what that experience was like for
for Steve. Steve Sripper on the line with U right now.
How you doing, Steve?
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Hey, what's happening? Guys?
Speaker 4 (23:51):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Oh Man?
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Doing great? When I listen, I don't say yes to
all the all the interviews. When I saw it was
you one of my favorite characters from the Sopranos. My good.
How many years was your character? Let's say alive? Like
he made it to the end, didn't he?
Speaker 6 (24:08):
I made it to next to the end. I came
into second season and they killed me off the next
to last episode.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, you were there, I think one of the longest
one for one of the longest times. I mean, I
just got to you know, obviously everybody asked you what
that experience was like, but I've never heard what you said.
What was that experience like being on one of the greatest,
probably one of the greatest HealthVision shows of all time.
Speaker 6 (24:31):
Well, you know, when you're doing it, to be honest,
you know, you're kind of seriously I'm joking, I'm not,
but you're afraid they're gonna kill you off, right, You're like,
there's no job security. You know, it's not like you're
doing friends. You know, you're not on friends, You're not
ross from friends. They got you know where they're not
going to kill anybody off. You're seriously were worried about
(24:56):
getting killed off. So when you're in it, you're so
close to it. Unfortunately you don't enjoy it as much
and you pull back and it's nineteen years since the
last episode. It was the greatest moment of my life,
certainly the greatest career moment that won't happen again, because
it was really once in a lifetime. Put all these
(25:18):
David Chase, put all these great people together. We had
probably the greatest show in TV history, which is still
popular today. New kids are, you know, finding the show.
So it's pretty incredible.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Hey, Steve, when you were on that, When you were
on that show, and let's say a big character, like
when Big Pussy got killed right, like, was everyone on
the set just as shocked as the audience was, I mean,
because everything.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Was absolutely absolutely and you felt banned because not only
did he he's out of work, you know, I mean,
Vinnie got killed off earlier, major character. One of the
few times in TV history that killed off a major character. Right,
he's only out of work. We're all friends. We were
sad for him, you know. Unfortunately, as the years went on,
(26:08):
we made more money, you missed hanging out with your friends,
and so it was that was a tough pill to swallow.
We've talked about it me a bitting, you.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Know, yeah, and you made it for almost the entire
the entire show. What did you enjoy about the character itself?
Speaker 6 (26:25):
About Bobby, Well, first of all, I was a fat
suit the first couple of years I was on the show,
and then I got fat enough on my own they
let me take it off.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
You know.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
You know what I liked. I liked he started out
just being a caretaker for Junior, and then he just
being a can'taker for Union Junior, and then as time
went on, by the end he was you know, Tony's
right hand man basically, and he was at the dinner
table after he met at married crazy Janice. You know,
(27:04):
now he's having Sunday dinner with the boss.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
That's right.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Oh. I like the of the I like the ark
of Bobby started out small, and all of a sudden
he became got more responsibility and so that was a
good role. It was good, good run. They gave me
a lot of really good stuff to do.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
So do people recognize your Steven mostly from from the
Sopranos or Goodfellas.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
I wasn't in good Fellows. I was in Blue Bloods.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Oh okay, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Yeah yeah. So they either called me Bobby or Anthony.
Once in a while. I was doing another series, Secret
Life of the American Teenager. I'll get Leo, but mostly
it's Bobby. And like I said, there's all new kids,
late teens, early twenties learning. You know, they found the show,
(27:55):
so you get kids and people of all ages. I'm
here in New York. It's okay. I don't mind at all.
People are very nice ninety nine point nine percent of nice,
so it's all fine.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
That is awesome. I know you're working on something, now,
aren't you. You have a book you're working on.
Speaker 6 (28:15):
I have a kid's book called Willie Boy Eats the World.
It's about my I have a Weeda dog and he
takes me around New York City. He shows me there's
more to life than just Italian food and New York
City the most diverse food city in the world. And
(28:35):
he takes me around and we try new things. He
talks me into it. It's a kid's book. We're doing
a bunch of book signings We're doing the Today Show
tomorrow Kelly Clarkson tomorrow. He's like my son. He's seven
year old ween a dog and it's This has been
a lot of fun. We're doing a bunch of signings.
(28:56):
Like I said, you know, you can get the book
on Amazon, go to uh Steve Steve Shirripa Official on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
We put a photo of it on our YouTube channel
so everybody can see it and where to get it
and everything. And there's a picture of you with with Willie.
You have lost a lot of weight.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Uh, not enough, but I have lost weight. I try to.
I'm trying, man.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yeah, you know it's difficult.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
It's the old days. Yeah I've done better.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Yeah you look great.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
But you know, where are you guys in Orlando?
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Yeah, we're in Orlando, Florida. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
Now, I tell you, my friend got a really good
pizza place down there or somewhere bela a Roma, you
know bel a Roma Pizza.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
We'll look it up.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
I do not know it right off hand, but we'll
look it up and put it on Central Florida.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
That's real New York pizza. That's if you want that.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
I want real people want.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
Maybe you maybe you like pizza hut. That's okay too.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
No, let's spots some St Cloud.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yeah, it's in St Cloud. We we We just put
it up on our YouTube channel so people can see it.
So it's a good buddy of yours.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
Yeah, good friend of mine, good guy. And the peace
is real. The peach is a good place.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Hell yeah. Have you ever thought of moving out of
New York and moving to Florida or California or anywhere
like that?
Speaker 6 (30:19):
You know what, Rush, I had a place in California,
like a second place for about eight years, and I
like California a lot. I lived in Vegas for twenty
five years.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
Oh wow. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:30):
Yeah, my wife and kids were born in Vegas. That's
where I started acting. I'm here in New York and
I have a place in Rhode Island, beach Town, So,
you know, to get out of the city. I love
New York, but you got to get out of here
now and then. So yeah, Florida, nice to visit. Not
my thing too hot? Huh yeah, A'll forget it. I
(30:53):
can never deal with it, man, the mugginess I.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Can never deal with I understand.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
I't know how you guys do it.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Hey, I lived here, my entire life. I'm just used
to it, you know, all right, Steve, congratulations, Oh yeah
you do. No, not really, it's it's too hot. You're right,
all right, Steve, congratulations on the book man.
Speaker 6 (31:11):
Thank you, all right, thank you man.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Thanks taking the talk to us. We appreciate it, all right. Yeah.
Oh see, Angel came back and he said it's the
guy from Goodfellas. I'm like, okay, that's why I'm like,
I thought he wasn't in Goodfellas.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
He was in So I thought you said good Fellas
because I got into it with Art on the on
the line too, because you got mad that we weren't
because we were supposed to do this on Facebook or
I'm sorry, on the other streaming service.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
So he was he was barking at me, and I
was like, dude, I don't know what you're talking about.
So we got into it before a while. I didn't
know we were talking to them today.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Yeah all right. Uh uh his character that you've never
saw any.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Of the sopranos I've seen in the first episode.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Oh, it's it's it's good.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
I tried to watch it and it was so of
its time that it was like I couldn't. It's all
I could focus on. Was like the old technology. That's
one of those they got la line phone.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
It's one of those things where you gotta like, you
gotta for goo the present technology, Yeah, because that one
is definitely that one in the in the other series,
and that's based in Baltimore, but those are so much
of their time and there's so much connected to the
technology of.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
The It was him dealing with this kid and he's like,
what is this the frigging in and that is this
never gonna take?
Speaker 1 (32:23):
All?
Speaker 5 (32:24):
Right?
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Yeah, take a break, don't go anywhere. You're listening to
the March of the Morning. I literally thought that was
a song about a girl. My my buddy Jimmy always
loved that song, and I didn't get it, and he
finally told me, he said, man, he's like, bro, he
finally he was laughing. He's like, you don't know what
that song about. It's so funny. Yeah, I remember, I
(32:46):
thought it was about a girl. It is not welcome back.
I'm Russ along with Angel and Ryan all here today. Hey,
so a couple uh news. Let's say in the entertainment world.
One is, let's see here, I thought you'd get a
kick out of this angel. So this is the name
the tour of the year by Pollstar. As far as
(33:08):
making money, who do you think came in number one? Oasis?
The major tour of the year was Oasis. Oasis Live
twenty five tour came in number one for making the
most money. Now they're not listing how much money it
made for some reason, They're just saying they were in
first place. Second place was the rock tour of the
(33:29):
Rock tour of the year. Okay, No, that's okay.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
That's the major tour of the year generated four and
five million dollars.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Is that what it says? Yeah, Rock tour of the
year Metallica.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Hip Hop Tour of the Year was Kendrick Lamar obviously,
R and B. Now R and B and hip hop
not the same thing. I thought they were, Okay, So
R and B Tour of the Year is the Weekend okay?
And who do you think was the pop tour of
the year?
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Taylor Swift?
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Incorrect? She didn't tour this year. Oh, Sabrina Carpenter, That's
what I would have said.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
It is none of those Rodrigo.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
She's just getting ready to come back out her she's
just getting ready to drop an album. So she hasn't
toured this year.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Either, Okay, late lady, it is not a Lady yet. No,
they haven't started yet. They start the world tour now too,
not a lady. It's a dude.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Yeah. Pop Tour of the Year and it is Benson.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Yeah, he was out there. He was on the road,
so he's a big deal.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I mean I clipping his way through the country.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
It's not again, was.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Like down here.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
I thought he was, like he's up there.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
He is up there.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Yeah, he's up there.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
A country Tour of the Year.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
There's a tie, ta tie.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Who's hot in country right now? I literally have no
idea Morgan wall and I guess he didn't.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Tour one of the Lukes.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
No, it's Chris Stampleton, the All American road Show and
Lady will World win World Tour?
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Okay, of course, Latin Tour of the year.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
That's easy.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Bunny bad Bunny. Yeah, he killed it. Who do you
think was the comedian tour of the year. This is
for Ryan and You're My Best Friend tour is what
it's called. Nate Berganzy negative, No, didn't even know this
guy was touring You're My Best Friend tour? Yeah, by
poll star, I guess they made the most money, considered
(35:27):
the tour of the year. Didn't even know he was
on tour.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
I have no idea You're my.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Best Friend tour, which is sort of funny because if
you're his best friend, you're in one of his movies. Oh,
Adam Adam Sandler was it was, Yeah, the the comedy
tour of the year.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Interesting, didn't even hear about that.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I would have said Nate Bergossi as well, because I
can't even say his last name, Gatsy Bergatsy. Yeah, I
would have said him as well.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
But interesting. But Orlando, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
But I'm hoping all these tours get a lot cheaper
because ha ha taking Master and you get broken up.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Now bye, bye, Live Nation, have a good day.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yeah, you know what, you have no faith.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
You're not going to.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Find anybody that likes Ticketmasters.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
Oh my goodness, you're not gonna find anyone has any
sympathy for it. But by the same token, I have
zero faith in this DJ, So I like I think
that when it's all said and done, they're gonna give
us pennies on the dollar back kind of thing.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
And or will you.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Get anything back?
Speaker 3 (36:25):
Well, people get mailbox money for sure, but will they
keep them broken up? Because this should never been allowed
to be a thing in the first place. It is
only screwed the consumer so many times. I only recently
learned too that like bands can have their own fees
on to the ticketmaster thing and it makes it look
like Ticketmaster is charging you, but it's the band that's
doing it. Oh really, Yeah, so they'll have like like, oh,
(36:49):
I bet they were crazy.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
It'll be interesting.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
I'm but this, maybe I'll go back to concerts because
they've gotten stupidly expensive. I was really glad to go
to the one at the Plaza Live, which operates outside
of that system.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah, which is nice.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
What do you think was the residency of the year?
And it was a show at the Spear which was
out of all the show you've heard about, which one Eagles?
It was the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Eagles.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, I just saw a thing like I didn't realize
how big of a selling band that they were for
so many years.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Oh my gosh, they were.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
I mean they were way before my time.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
I just know them from commercials for the most part
as a child growing up. So I didn't realize how
big they were.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Oh my gosh yea early seventies. They were probably the
biggest American band for many, many years.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
And I'm still a Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
It's hard for me now because like all my favorite
bands are going to like the Sea Worlds and the bush.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Gardens right now.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Then that sucks.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
Well, dude taking.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Back Sunday is going to be playing Bush Gardens next Sunday.
I might drive all the way over to Tampa just
to go see them.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
And I'm like, it's at the theme but the theme parks.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
After I saw the Frey do it at Sea World,
I was like, they do it right though.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Well, I was thinking of Angel last night because he's
right about something about live music, you know, and I
know this wasn't really Abba. It was you know, almost out.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
It was an experience.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
They were all live. It was live music, and it
was it was it is fun to see live music. Yeah,
it really really.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
I'll tell you what I did again because I'm so
ate up with his band. I spent most of Saturday,
uh and part of Sunday watching Goose's performances in Saint Augustine.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
I'll be damn, That's what I did.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Yeah, I thought you were thinking about going.
Speaker 5 (38:19):
I was thinking about going, but I want to getting
to hang out with the family and my daughter.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
There was we got some other family stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
I watched Coachella live.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Uh, you know what, I was bummed out with it
in the sense that it wasn't they they didn't care
what they were doing on the stream.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
It seemed like, yeah, they didn't.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
It was definitely's second thought, second, third, fourth thought, and
so it wasn't like they weren't.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
So you know, I would like worried about the production
value of it, ross to making sure that the streaming
customer was having a good time watching this product that
they're putting out.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Coachella did not care, did you guys?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
See when Madonna came out, Yeah, she got a BBL
right a long time ago.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
It's got a lot of She's barely she's the ship
of theseus at this point, barely anything is left.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
Yeah, we talked, We kind of let her up when
she first did that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
It doesn't look so good.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
Yeah, and it looks so boring from the crowds perspective,
because like everybody in the crowd, there was like a
couple of people singing along, but then like most people
just have their phones up and they're holding still, and
I'm like, they weren't.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
Even having Dude, I'm gonna tell you right now.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
If if I had, let's say, won some kind of
contest whatever, and I could go to Coachella, I honestly
don't think I'll get past Yeah, just watching the fan,
just purely watching from the fan experience. If you're not
doing one of those ten fifteen thousand dollars seats or
experiences where you're close to the artists and everything, everybody
(39:38):
else is seems to be there just to be seen. Yeah,
Like I would, I could count maybe the one or
two performance. If I could, let's say, get dropped in
for specific performances, I would probably do that. But Coachella
is it doesn't Again, going off of the what we're
talking about, the YouTube experience, Ryan's observation, Bob Madonna, you
could say that about a couple of the other shows. Yeah,
(39:59):
other and it just doesn't seem like a whole lot
of fun. It seems more like you you're doing it
for the grand What do you think the attendance is
to Coachella.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Oh, they sell out. That's the thing because.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Because of over one hundred thousand people easily.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, one hundred and fifty thousand, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
Yeah, seven hundred. It's spread out over two weekends.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
Oh my god, daily crowd of one hundred and twenty
five thousand a daily.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Crowd, and so it's six yeah, six days.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
