Project gift this season.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's cool.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
It's cool to see like.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Someone like Jackie like it's kind of manifested her like
thing into that now she now she's got a musical.
She's got a musical. And I'm like, that's cool because
I'm a big fan. I don't know if you guys
know this. I'm actually a big fan of musicals. I'm
a big I'm a big Stephen Stenheim guy. Yeah, yeah,
I love I love syncopated rhythms. Remember that show that
(03:46):
came out and it was.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I was, yeah, make a due In the first seasons.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Rigganoon is where two it's the girl.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
It's now.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I feel like you go from stardaying alive.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Oh what's her name? She can sing really well?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Aul in Joe's sex girlfriend. Oh, is that really Yeah,
I didn't know that. Yeah, man, I wish the textures
will get it first in a second. But it's like they're.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Suddenly transported into a nineteen fifty style musical and everything
everybody around them sings and breaks out in the song,
and they're like, what the what the hell's going on?
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:27):
And I like that.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
I've always wanted to be in a musical.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
I was always sad, like as a kid to learn that, like,
people don't just burst into songs.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
I've never gotten to be invited into a flash mob.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
I did it.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
I did it one time. One time you were in
a flash mall. One time I was in.
Speaker 7 (04:43):
The mall and in the mall they were singing Man
in the Mirror, and I started singing Man in the Mirror.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
Tucking with the man and man other people started singing
it right, and then a bunch of people started singing it,
and they were all singing it at the same time.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
That is fantastic. Please let that happen to me one
every day. I hope. I wish people would bust in
here and just be like start singing Russia like Fame,
like Glee or like Glee. Yeah, I actually it's fine, Okay,
musicals are for everybody, all right.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
I get like, I know, I know stereotypically gay people
love musicals, but they're correct strong Cecily Strong. Oh yeah
that's her name, good old Cecily. And I just don't know, Savannah,
how a musical doesn't exist for you yet and the
same things there needs to be one and uh yeah,
(05:36):
and look I I just plugged into AI. I said,
give me some musical type songs. Well it's not gonna
have the words, because I figured being Savannah could just
like quickly, quickly do it, you know, so turn down
the ko D music and turn up my laptop please,
mister DJ.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Hell yeah, all right, now.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Savannah has lived a life, and I just think, like
if we could come in and just like, what what
would a musical about Savannah sound like?
Speaker 2 (06:05):
We just work shopped a real quick.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
A musical about Savannah about Savannah, and uh, let's see,
let's pick a do you turn this up a little bit? Okay,
this is less musically. I need something a little more
that's more country music.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Let's see what we got. Nope to country? Is that
what they think about me? That's what a I think, Samannah?
They think I'm Southern rock. They went, they went more
like southern rock.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh, here you go.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
This is a little Savannah on a poor step, just
looking at the stars, hanging out.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
One day, I'm gonna leave y'all, not staying here in Charrol,
Gonna pack my bags and go south, gonna be friends
of billionairess on a half blowing golden hair and all
the people looking up to me.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
I done, pagetant, did my time. Now everybody's gonna.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Know my name.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I'm gonna give everyone. Hey, I'm giving my Hey. What
you say your Savannah? You know it goes my way? Hey,
giving the hay? See like that, like something like that.
(07:36):
Give so good? Okay, I need another.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
That's the the beginning of the property.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, and then there'll be a reprise later. It's like
because back key ching, I'm giving a hey. What about
it's a new hay. But it all seems it's a
good life. That's what I'm talking. If we want to
do parodies, I stop. I love the part of the gators.
You're all just haters. I'm doing my own thing, right. Yeah,
(08:07):
we get like, I don't know how to be paid it.
It's such a problem.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Well, I got gator, Maybe you want one.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
The chomp ass you have the chop chomp, chomp your ass.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yeah, that's chomp your ass.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Chomp your ass.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Come on, then everybody has to do the game.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Don't chomp your ass. Somebody give me a hand with
chopping your assad. Gating.
Speaker 9 (08:34):
Man.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
It's just like I love the symbol. I love the
energy from it.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
Very gracious with the symbol, like I don't hold back
from it, Like I'm good with it.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
What's another pivotal point in your life though that we
can do musically, you know, like something something could be big,
it could be emotional, it could be.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Sleeping in my jeep in California for a while.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
Okay, So I feel like that was definitely pivotal, pivotable.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Beautiful, It was definitely.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
It was definitely petitive voice the same thing, okay, And
it was not a hard top jeep.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
So I'm.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
I'm here and I can't get no sleep just looking
engage in my little jeep. I tend to California to
be a big, big star. Now I'm living with my
son in my car.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
That's so sad. One day I know I'll reach the top.
Then I will never Quita.
Speaker 7 (09:42):
Savannah Queen of the Gators, California.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I see you later, Praise God. I'm traveling to Lay
to make a musical that Rustle call gay and also
f l a. Yeah see yeah, I got it.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
There we go, savannahs a musical and will write it,
We'll cut it, we'll make it a whole show.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
It's gonna be beautiful the musical. Maybe Matt can help us, Yeah,
because if we are.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Doing Savannah the musical, it only stands a reason that
I should sing at least one song.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Of course. Yeah, I mean that's what the people want,
right Angel.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, So man, we got a new thing to do,
new thing to work on. And uh yeah, I'm I'm
I'm excited because you're your story needs to be told.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
It needs to because by the people. And if no
one's gonna tell it, I'm gonna tell him a damnself.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Hell yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
This is brought to you by that mortgage got down
from that mortgage guy don dot com.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
How did you miss the symbol three times?
Speaker 7 (10:54):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
You're at the top.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
I don't have debt perception and I'm not a t
red check out that mortgage guid Don dot com. If
you're looking to buy a mortgage, buy a mortgage, get
a mortgage.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
I don't know how you phrase it, but he.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Does helocks traditional mortgages, refis jumbo loans and small business loans.
Maybe looking to start that, Maybe you want to finance
some musical all right, talk to that mortgage guy down
that mortgage got don dot com.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Don't miss the boat. Compare it quote with that morrige
got don dot com.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
And so it shall be. Hey, when we come back,
you're about to hear a young lady's dream come true.
This is gonna be really cool. You know. We did
the Monster Singing competition several months ago and Brianna Reyes won.
She's like sixteen years old. She won the competition and
her dream is to have hers a song that she
sings and has written and everything played nationwide on iHeartRadio.
(11:46):
When we come back, Monster music Man Matt the producer,
produced the song and we're gonna play it for the
first time. And I think she brought like her whole
family to come with her because she's sober excited. Her
grandma is here from Columbia to watch this happen and everything.
So it's a really cool thing, so you want to
stick around and hear the song after she won. This
is the song that they've produced and it's gonna be
(12:08):
played for the first time ever on I you know,
iHeartRadio and you'll be able to download it on all
major platforms. Her song has been released nationally and we
get to debut it here when we come back. So
don't go anywhere. You're listening to the Monsters in the
Morning Real Hey, you're going to check us out on
(12:34):
our YouTube channel because there's a video to go along
with this. It's Real Radio Monsters on YouTube. That's Real
Radio Monsters on YouTube. Welcome back to the Monsters in
the Morning on Real Radio one oh four point one.
This is really cool. First off, good to see our
buddy Monster music man, Matt. Matt.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
How you doing, buddy, Hey, Russ, I'm doing just fine.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
I saw you and I'm like, what is different? There's
something different and You're like, I just don't have a
hat on.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
I normally wear a hat. I don't have a hat
have hair?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Why what? Okay, why is it you decided not to
wear a hat today?
Speaker 10 (13:04):
So my wife likes my hair. I don't like having hair.
I would do it like you would just clipper it.
But my wife likes me having hair.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
But I said, honey, I always wear a hat.
Speaker 10 (13:12):
Nobody ever sees my hair.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
That's true.
Speaker 10 (13:14):
But you know, I was leaving the house this morning
and I told her, I go, you like my hair
all showed off today.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Well it looks good. You look you look great? So
uh and Brianna is here. Hello, Brianna? How you doing?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Good in you? How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (13:26):
I am wonderful. We haven't seen you since we had
the Monster singing competition. That was gosh, I forget what
month was in April?
Speaker 11 (13:34):
I think not no, no, to be like, I think
like September.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
September, okay, September, August it was August okay, yeah, August.
And uh it was a competition with five different people.
Uh and uh and you won the competition. Now, I
did see a little video that you put out where
you're like, I'm just inered this thing. I didn't think
i'd win and and you won it. And did you okay,
when you entered the competition, did you know, like what
(14:00):
did you think you were getting into?
Speaker 11 (14:02):
Honestly, Okay, when I when I like had audition, I
didn't really know what I was auditioning for. My mom
just sent it to me and was like, you know,
Mark wants me to audition for this, so I think
you're gonna audition and I was like okay. So then
I went an audition and I was like okay, and
my mom was like, oh, you're a finalist. By the way,
you're gonna have to wake up at like four in
the morning. I'm like, oh, four in the morning. Fine, great,
(14:24):
And then I ended up winning. I was when I came,
I was like like, oh, this is like really really fun,
like the big like the real deal.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, And we you know, it's funny
because after you won, we had some people like, oh,
you know, she's she's so young, Like you know what,
why did you live someone so young under the competition?
And my thought was, hey, listen, we just we just
wanted to find the best singer, you know, and uh
and so before we get to you, I want to
get to Matt. Matt, when you saw this, she won,
and she, you know, much younger than any of the
(14:53):
other contestants that we've had.
Speaker 10 (14:55):
What were your thoughts, Well, first of all, so she's
a theater girl and I married a musical theater girl.
So I felt kind of like, Okay, I know this
world that she's in, and she does so much of
her acting or whatever. We talked about her in the
interview segment. We talked about how she homeschools because she
does all this stuff, right, So I just felt really
like she's super dedicated to her art.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (15:16):
Like, I felt like, even at her age, she's on
the right track if she wants to do this as
a career, and that really impressed me. She's kind of
wise beyond her years as far as her talent goes.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
So Brionn So I think I remember, correct me if
I'm wrong that at the time you said you didn't
really write.
Speaker 11 (15:31):
Lyrics, right, Yes, I was not there, Like writing as
not my thing.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
So for this particular song, did you get help with
it or did you write it?
Speaker 11 (15:41):
Yeah, Matt and I wrote it together. Matt basically sent
me like like like lyric ideas, and then I basically
kind of just like was like, well, maybe I do
write and I gutted it and I just like changed
a bunch of it. But then I really liked it.
It was really it was like a fifty to fifty collaboration.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
So did it make you you are very young, you
could so learn to as it made you thought of
think about, you know, writing more stuff.
Speaker 11 (16:02):
Yeah, I would love to write more things in the future.
I feel like I need to get into the swing
of it because I don't necessarily write down my thoughts.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (16:09):
Yeah, I have to start doing that to see what
can come of it.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
And are you still sixteen now or are sixteen years old?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Trade are you in?
Speaker 11 (16:15):
I'm a junior?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Junior you go to school here?
Speaker 11 (16:19):
No, I'm online.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I'm online.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
And you've got family here with you. Who did you
bring with you today?
Speaker 11 (16:24):
Okay? I brought my mom, my mom, I brought my dad,
and I brought my grandma from Columbia.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Wow, that's awesome.
Speaker 11 (16:32):
I brought a foreigner.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
So obviously, you know the fact that you're going to
be able to play this song, you know, nationwide on iHeartRadio.
For the first time I saw your little thing, it
seems like a big deal to you.
Speaker 11 (16:43):
I'm excited. I think it's going to be something really
like different from anything I'd ever done. So I feel
like I'm going to try to capitalize the most I can.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah, And who are your normal inspirations like who do
you listen to?
Speaker 11 (16:55):
Okay, right now, in my rotation, I've been listening to
a lot of Olivia Dean. She's been trending. I've been
obsessed with her. But when I was really young, I
was very into like Barbis striceand and a lot of
you know, like old Hollywood musical theater stars, so and Ellie.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Ooh clean, wow, that's old salt.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
You're right, yeah, for real, Like, she really impressed me.
Speaker 10 (17:15):
And so when we were writing this, because she's sixteen,
we tried to make the song kind of age relatable,
kind of age appropriate to to where she's at. Yeah,
And so the song is called too Much for Quiet,
and it kind of describes her personality, what it's like
to be a teenage girl fighting through insecurity, being brave,
that kind of thing. And it's kind of inspired by
a little bit about some of the sort of poppy,
(17:35):
punky stuff that's out there, Olivia Rodrigo and some of
the artists like that.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah I heard. I didn't hear the whole. I just
heard a snippet. I said, Oh, I'm want to wait
and do this on the air.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Let me tell you it's a killer song.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
But the snippet I heard, I thought, this is the moment.
I don't know how to say this to you, Matt,
but the most like say up to date or current
thing I've heard you commercial, commercial, current thing, I've heard
you produce.
Speaker 10 (17:57):
Well, you know, I'm fifty, so I come from the a.
You know, I'm a Poison Cinderella def Leppard guy. Right,
But as a part of my job as a producer
and engineer and songwriter, you know, you have to be
able to navigate what is current, what's hot or whatever, and.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
So I.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Stuff that's hot stuff.
Speaker 10 (18:13):
I mean, listen that it went nyl, It went Vinyl,
it did. So yeah, No, you do have to be
able to you know, to write kind of in any
genre or whatever. So we wanted to make it applicable
to her. It would be silly for me to write
something that would not be for her generation. So yeah,
so I sent it to her and she did a
really awesome job co writing the lyric and so she's
(18:36):
into it.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Now.
Speaker 10 (18:37):
I think she's caught the studio bug, so I think
she's probably gonna work on some more music.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
How was it working with Matt?
Speaker 11 (18:43):
It was really fun, It was It was really like,
he's really easy going. So I could be like, I
really actually don't like that at all, and he would
not get mad and that was lovely, lovely.
Speaker 10 (18:54):
I have no musical ego, so like if if and
I told her, I go, this is an honest truth.
Like if you're like that's kind of dumb. I don't
like that, then let's change it. Let's do something that
means something to her. As an artist, I'm not here
to push a sound on her. So she watched me
write the music track. So we had two sessions where
in real time I wrote the music track with her
guidance all along the way. She went away, we wrote
(19:17):
the lyrics, she came back and recorded the vocal and
it's it's killer. I mean, even though I'm a part
of it, I feel like as just looking at it
from the outside, it's a really good song.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
All right, So Ryan, what's the gimmick? We're gonna be
able to watch it on YouTube? Is that what it is?
Speaker 3 (19:30):
It's one of those lyric videos.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
So yeah, yeah, we got a lyric video, and I'm
ready to go in over you guys.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
All right, Brianon, are you ready to have your song
played nationwide? All right? Here we go. This is part
of the you know, she won the contest. This was
part of the deal, and the song has been recorded
and now we're going to play it for the first
time nationwide. Brianna Arias, I mean moment, do the thing again.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Set it all up it, hold on, I gotta do
it alright. Okay, it's buffering. That's not on me.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
That's iheart's crappy Internet angel play playing from your side.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
I'll just line up the video because it's buffering. This
I'm the worst is it's like a funeral.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Hold on, We'll play the whole thing. Hold on, Brian,
I'm sorry Ryan ruins that he ruined my father's funeral too.
Don't feel hold on. He did the same thing for
my father's funeral.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
He made a video tribute and did the same thing,
but it cut out in the middle and then started
into some music videos.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
And my sister's funeral as well.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Advertising.
Speaker 11 (20:47):
That's actually really bad.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, I'm aware, so don't feel that.
Speaker 12 (20:50):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
This is angels doing this, so we can trust that right.
Here we go. This is Brianda. This is brand new song.
Speaker 11 (20:57):
Are you ready ready?
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (20:59):
Okay, I have have too hard at things I say
wasn't funny anyway. Mirror's got rebro seats again to me,
(21:19):
rehearsing confidence.
Speaker 9 (21:22):
I'm too much for quiet.
Speaker 13 (21:24):
Do supper the riot, stop between a queen and a mass.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Dren and grow up.
Speaker 9 (21:33):
Faster, but grow hurts.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I guess.
Speaker 6 (21:38):
One minute I'm running the show. Next I'm crying all alone.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Monsters?
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Doing good? All right?
Speaker 14 (32:11):
So I'm really excited to share this one with you
guys because as we get into the this time of
the year, obviously it's the holidays. You got Thanksgiving coming off,
you got Christmas, you got Kwanza, you got.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
New Year's you have all these hanka you have all.
Speaker 14 (32:24):
These different events. Some of them, you know, lend themselves
to drinking. Some of them don't, obviously. But you'll notice
that a bunch of brewers russ will bring out their
holiday editions.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
What does that mean when they say holiday special.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Bruce, Well, here's one.
Speaker 14 (32:40):
For example, Modello, which is the number one selling beer
in America, is doing a no especial seasonal brew.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
If at least never done to you too.
Speaker 14 (32:54):
And so it's a limited run that they're doing. It
started now between between now and the end of the year. Now,
the difference between this and regular Modello right off the rip,
this is a higher ABV. This comes in at four
point seven. It's darker too, Yeah, it's a darker brow.
And then the other part of it is is the
four point seven whereas I'm sorry, five point seven, whereas
(33:17):
the regular Modello comes in at like a four point five.
So this is a little bit darker, like you're saying,
Sea Lane, So it's gonna be a little bit more flavorful.
It features Toasa carmel mal flavor and aromatic profile is
they like to say it. It's an elevated twist on
the traditional holiday ales. All right, that's what we do again.
(33:38):
It's a and it's out there everywhere right now. You
can get your favorite grocery store. It certainly smells good. Yeah,
So it's a MODELO. Especially comes with the red label
dark bottle.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
But to be clear, it's just like a special holiday edition.
It doesn't like taste. It's not supposed to taste like
anything holiday like.
Speaker 14 (33:53):
No, it's not gonna happening weird kind of Yeah, No,
it's it's just a more flame favor full uh gingerbread amber. Yeah,
it's not a gingerbread or another or a peppermint beer,
nothing like that. Now it's just a more flavorful higher
ABV though, like I said.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Like a muld clove. There we go. You need it
higher for the all the family.
Speaker 14 (34:17):
All right, we're gonna drink to a couple of things
today because we've had a fantastic week. Uh, let's drink two.
Taking the time for self reflection, Let's drink too. Cheers
to Ryan Holmes on his uh just open for George
Wallace tonight at the Bone and Saturday. Yeah, and then
congratulations and huge shout out and uh Russ, I know
you're super proud of this, but shout out to Ryan
(34:39):
Rollins and Kayla for their upcoming wedding, and congratulations to
YouTube kiddos looking forward to dj N free Zip rule
and effect here here cheers.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yeah, ooh, that's good. That's very good.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
What was it five point seven, buddy?
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Point seven?
Speaker 14 (35:05):
Because like so, the regular bodello is designed to be
very sessionable. You can drink a ton of those are
four and a half.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
If only it was one point higher because then it
would be all the kids just went out, you heard them, Russ,
what do you give it?
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Absolutely amazing that that is a really really good beer.
I like that. I will look for it. Uh yeah,
you know for tomorrow, A little sixer on the side,
A six on a side. I love that nine point nine,
I guess I mean just to be yeah, that's really
really good.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Homesy.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
I can't get the thought of I'm supposed to be
tasting holiday something.
Speaker 14 (35:46):
So it's like, well, the holiday part of it is,
it's a it's a it's a dark beer. It's an
you know, darker beer. And then it's a five point seven.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
I will call this beer Christmas with my stepdad because
it might as well have just been any other day.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
This could have been a beer. It's a seven and
a half for me because it's just a beer. Really yeah,
that's seven point five.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
You're just hateful at nine.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
It's a good tasting beer. It's no notes.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
You know what.
Speaker 14 (36:17):
What I'm noticing is that the guys that are giving
it high scores all had their dads for the holidays.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
That's a slow burn.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Like that.
Speaker 14 (36:32):
Uh yeah, this is a nine for me as well.
I love a lot of Modelo's products, and they're going
to come out with a bunch of other stuff as
the year goes on next year. But this is definitely
a fun check it out. It's Model Especially out there
and that's beer the week.
