You're a Yeah, you're a conundrum.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yes, I am King of Denmark.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Brought to you by that mortgage guy Don from that

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Come more on that later.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Eat your cabbage, rush fried cabbage, cook cabbage, raw cabbage.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I love cabbage.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You know good.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
You gotta be You gotta make your wife happy, especially
she's gonna be around a lot more now. And uh,
I'm around my wife too much. We she works from
home three days a week and we're just around each
other all the time we've had in the ten years
going on eleven years. This year, we've broken down a
lot of barriers. Okay, for a long time it was like, hey,

(03:00):
don't talk to me through the door while I'm using
the bathroom. That's gone away the uh m m. But
there's a couple of barriers that I can't seem to
get past. And I yelled at my wife this morning
before I left for work, and I feel bad about it,
but like there's just there's just like Russ, I know

(03:22):
you do this, you don't want it. You have you
have a bathroom, you know, barricade that you do you know,
no bathroom do you get bathrooms are separate.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
You do that.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Mine is like they're like silly things. She thinks they're
really silly, but like I don't and I refuse, And
these are the hills I'm willing to die on.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
M hm.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
So I'm getting ready for work this morning, and uh,
I'm just in my underwear and I'm putting on socks. Okay, right,
For whatever reason, I know this is just a me thing.
I do not want my wife to see me in
just underwear and socks. Why I I can't tell you why.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I don't know why.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
I'm very embarrassed if I'm just in underwear and socks.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
It's like it's worse than me being naked. Like I don't.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Want to wear I don't want anybody to see me
wearing only underwear and sock.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Do you have on boxers?

Speaker 5 (04:19):
I got a boxer brief thought, okay, but like I don't.
I don't know why I feel so exposed when I'm
just wearing underwear and side and she's trying to have
a conversation with me, and I'm like, I'm literally going,
john't look at me, just leave the room. I don't
want you to be in here and see me like this,

(04:40):
and I'm trying to figure out why. I think I
know why if I'm thinking about it out loud for you,
just I just don't think dudes like dudes in socks
and not a lot of clothing.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I just don't. I don't think it's whatever.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
The problem is is that you probably don't have a
good flair for your sock games.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
The more fancy the sock would be actually worse.

Speaker 7 (05:02):
No, what what socks are you wearing right now? What
are they just regular O white socks?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
They're they're they're black black socks.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Exactly, so you look like a corporate stooge.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
But I'm wearing like, there's no they're black, Like I
look good in minderwear. Okay, at bottom they formed fit.

Speaker 7 (05:19):
If you picked up your sock game and the sock
game was tight, then you wouldn't mind state.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Look look at this, Look at this. This is socks.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, but like, I don't want to be weird.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
But now I'm picture you just standing those with your
underwear exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
It's ridiculous, little junk, is what it is.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Because here's the thing, and I can't explain. I'm trying
to explain this to my wife. If I was just
standing there in my boxer briefs. But I'm fine with that.
I walk around the house of my boxer briefs all
the time. I got no problem with it whatsoever. For
some reason, if we throw socks into this equation, I
am embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I do not like it.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Why I don't you should go them nasty little toesiers
when you were teased about your sock game when you
were a child.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
No, I think I know what it is now that
I'm talking about it.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Oh boy, here we go. What hold on, damn it?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I think I do No why I no? So a
man who had a lot of stepdads.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Oh, you wore your stepdad socks? No, oh, you wore
your stepdad's underwear.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I remember that now. I remember.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
So I was, uh one time I got kicked out
of the house, you know, like I'm a little kid,
and it's like go out and play.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Oh, my mom would lock all.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
The doors, okay, like single mom business yess.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
And so I'm I'm out in the backyards hot. I
feel like I've been out there forever.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
And I remember I'm trying like that we had like
a back window and I'm trying to like climb up
to see what's happening. And then I saw a nude
man wearing business socks.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
What are you doing?

Speaker 5 (06:54):
I just put the two and two together now Stepdad, Jerry,
and I think that's why I hate businesses. It socks
like I think I have and it's very traumatic. I
was like, I was like six five or six, probably.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Well, you need to talk to your person about that.
What do I say? I can't when I bring it up.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
Hey, I got a thing about socks because I saw
a nude man wearing socks one time. I don't know
man socks for me, I think that is what it is.
I've always had a thing with socks.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
That's why.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
That's why I don't like this current generation behind me,
because they like a long sock.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
They like, but they do the dumb thing with socks
and slides and all that.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Kind of I've always been a sock hider.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
I wish I could make my sock half my foot
and hide it into my foot and figuring out why
and that you just have a breakthrough for me to break,
because I I mean, you can step your game. I
have other things like, but I understand the other ones
right because like so I've learned as I've gotten older,

(07:54):
sitting down to pee is.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
The best way to go.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
I've been telling you for you.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Yeah, I look, I would wrong, Russ, I was wrong.
Sitting like is so much better, right, But what I did.
But every now and then, because if I'm going number one,
I'm gonna leave the door open, and then my wife
will come by while I'm in that state, and she'll
like start talking to me or like looking at me,

(08:19):
and I'm like, don't you look at me while I
do this?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah, I know, I.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Feel like a like a dog, like I'm embarrassed. I'm like,
don't look at me. And the other one is if
I'm flossing my teeth. If I'm flossing my teeth, don't
look at me. Why because I feel like a psycho.
I've got my fingers in my mouth, I've got I'm
pulling dirty stuff out of my and my wife.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
My wife will stare at me like she does this.

Speaker 7 (08:40):
Because you're getting after it all the things that you said.
The most ridiculous thing is that you two guys sit
down to peek.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
You don't sit down to pee.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Absolutely, Chang, It's a life changing.

Speaker 7 (08:55):
I'm not going to get way to ever give that
power to someone that I'm with, because because when it
flips and you guys get into an argument and they
locked that hand grenade at you.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
What what would there be a hand grenade?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
But now you sit down to peek, you ain't no
kind of man.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
It's so much better.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
It's so much especially like four in the morning, when
I'm getting up in the morning, I just I just
sit down.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I'm like, oh, why have I not been doing this
my entire life?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Just relax.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yes, I don't know why that's the hill that men
want to die on.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
I've been You're wrong, guys. Just try it out a
couple of times. It does not take away your masculinity.
Take a seat, Take a seat.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
It's relax and vegas still a man when you stand up.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
Yeah, you are still a man with you stand up angels. Fine,
I get it. But I don't want my wife to
see it again. Why because it embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
It is judge all things in the bathroom you don't
want your woman to see.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
They don't see any of that.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
No.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Sometimes I like one thing like if if I was
if I'm standing to go number one and my wife
walks by, I feel zero level of embarrassment.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I don't, But if I but sitting, I do.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
I don't know if your wife would walking in your bathroom,
you won't do that.

Speaker 7 (10:24):
If you're in the backyard, right. If you're out in
the backyard claiming your territory like it's your god given
right to do right, that's there's that's something like manly
about that. And your lady walks out and sees you
doing that, I'm.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Going to turn her off.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
I just feel like like this secret was kept hidden
from me for so long, and it was so obvious
just to sit and just go for what other secrets
have been hiding in plain sight?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Maybe I'll stand to poop, now, what if that's better.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Backyard?

Speaker 3 (10:55):
I've never done that, but now I kind of want to.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Try and just stare at her like the dog does.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, I want to go half stance and just look
at it and be like you watch this.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Your brain will let you do that, just stare at
her like dog does.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
No, I don't think I would tell her.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
I think I would just go into the backyard and
I would drop one and just like when she's out
there picking up the dog poop.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Later, Hey, do you know why dog stares at you
when he's.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Pooping because it turns him on.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
No, no, no, no, just trying to tell you, hey, listen,
you look out for me.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, I'm I always look out for you. You need
to look out for me right now because I'm busy.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yeah, I don't know, man, I gotta get over this
sock thing, though, I'm not really sure how to get
over it.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
I hope when you go home Christinas and nothing but underwearing.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Socks hot though.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Oh so that wouldn't turn you off.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
No, the socks themselves don't turn me off in any
kind of way. It's just me wearing socks and underwear.
It feels more naked than being naked.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
You ever put a tank top on and a porky piket?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
No? Move on.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Wait, so you go around your house your just shirt on,
no pants all the time?

Speaker 2 (12:11):
What the hell? Why?

Speaker 3 (12:13):
What is what is the point? Why do you even
have the shirt on?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Cover my belly from a belly? I probably have no
shirt on either.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
Speaking to the bottom dropping out the housing market, it's
crazy right now. And you you want to use that
mortgage guide Don for that mortgage guide don dot com
whether it's traditional mortgages, Refris he locks whatever it might be,
small business loans, reverse mortgages. The man does it all.
He's got to wear a thousand and five star Google reviews.
I use him to get my own house. It was
an awesome process.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
It's easy.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
My mom's gone to him twice. She's gotten two different
mortgages with that mortgage guy down. Lots of friends of
mine have used him as well.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Check him out. Don't miss the boat.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Compare your quote with that mortgage guy don dot com
and it shall be.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
If you would love to leave us a message, you
can do it right now on the iHeartRadio app. iHeartRadio
apps pretty cool. By the way, if you go to
our podcast after the show, we've got an audio podcast
and we've got a video podcast on the app, and
they've only picked some you know, there's like a handful
of people company wide they've picked to do that. They
picked us, which is pretty cool. It's on the iHeartRadio app.

(13:21):
And then also when you're checking that out trying to
find the video podcast, you'll see that little microphone. Click
on the microphone, leave us a message and we're gonna
play those in the next couple of segments. So check
it out. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the monster
of the morning. I think I'm gonna call them right,

(13:49):
all right, I have a couple of things I want painted,
and I do not have patience to listen. Painting is
one of those things. There's some things I can do right,
some things I know I can do, I'll do them.
I'll do Painting is not one. I don't have the
patience for it. Uh, to do it right? Yeah, to
make sure I do it's all you know, you take
the tape and make sure you don't bleed over to others.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
Like it's really easy to mess it up, and it's
it's it's something that looks so easy, but it's so
easy to mess up yourself.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
So they'll do Like just if I just want a
room done, yeah, they'll do just a room.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
They'll do a room.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
They do big jobs, they do small dog jobs. And
if you want to get that that you've painted yourself,
you've painted, they do that as well.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
No, my deck looks great, but uh it does it
looks great that it turned out fine. I can, you know,
make a mess there and it didn't matter. But the
house has to be done right. But they do, like
they go out to winter have anything.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Oh yeah, they go all over the place.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
They do because they're coming from like they were commercial
painters for a long time, so they travel around the
state doing that and now they're moving to residential so
they'll go they'll go anywhere.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Okay, well then go, I'll put that in my back pocket.
Uh So this is obviously we got summer coming up.
Next week is the official start of summer. But really
I think most of us, since kids are already off,
people have already planned in their summer vacations. And this year,
we know gas prices for whatever reason are super high
and people aren't flying as much and they're traveling as

(15:12):
far as they normally normally do. So Wallet Hubb did
a study and they studied as one hundred and eighty
two cities across across the country with forty one key
indicators like recreation, what the food is like, what the
entertainment is like in the town. You know how much
movie tickets cost in the town, how much the restaurants are,

(15:36):
you know, whether there's festivals in the town, whether there's
nightlife and all that kind of stuff. And they have
the top ten places where if you live to do
a staycation. Question about the term staycation. Does that mean, like,
let's say you, is it a staycation if you travel

(15:56):
Saint Augustine and stay in Saint Augustine? Is that a staycation?
Or does staycation mean you you.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
You stay in your house and you go.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
I think you don't get a hotel room in a staycation.
Well now I guess you could, because we stay cation'd
be like if I went to Universal Studios and got
a hotel out there.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Okay, so that's so if I traveled to Saint Augustine
and stay the night or whatever, that's a staycation, sure,
because I'm staying in my state. Yeah, okay, all right, okay.
So these are the places that are the number one
for staycations. Number ten Portland, Maine. Been there before, It's beautiful,
I could see that. Number nine Chicago, Illinois. Been to Chicago.

(16:35):
Love that stuff to do there. Tampa, Florida came in
eighth place for best for staycation. Atlanta, Georgia is in seventh.
That's one of angels favorite places to go. A lot
of stuff do in Atlanta.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Salt Lake City, Utah. I think I went skiing there once,
Don't remember much about it. So I can't say Honolulu, Hawaii,
Angel you've been there before though, Okay, I didn't appreciate it. Uh.
Saint Louis, Missouri. I went through it one time. I

(17:08):
think that's close to Missouri. It's it's like the.

Speaker 5 (17:11):
Missouri is one of those states I have zero interest
in ever seeing. Yeah, I can't tell you why I
got no beef with Missouri. But I'm actually why you
would go to Saint Louis for their beef for this barbecue.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
In third place, these are the best places for your
staycation in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Uh, you have to live in Vegas though, right, yeah,
this this makes you a psychopath already.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
In second place, Cincinnati, Ohio, Nati here for staycation?

Speaker 5 (17:38):
What the hell are you gonna do in Cincinnati? Actually,
I like Cincinnati. Of all the Ohio towns, I really
enjoyed Cincinnati because it's it's on the border.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
I think of Louisville.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Louisville Louisville and I had a really good time because
we went like rafting. Yeah, like some good rafting there.
There's a lot to see, a lot of food. So
I like Cincinnati and.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Number one in the United States of America, the best
place to go in order to be for a staycation.
Ladies and gentlemen, your own I was born and raised Orlando, Florida,
once again number one when it comes to staycation. Question
to you guys, and I think we I think that's
a that should be every year. It should be Orlando, Florida.

(18:19):
But if you're doing a staycation, what what what.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Do you do?

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Like? What would you do? Angel? What would you staycation?

Speaker 1 (18:25):
And you just did one not that long ago when
you went to the Melbourne area and you did a
staycation kind of a situation.

Speaker 7 (18:30):
I would say that one of the things I love
about doing staycations here was would uh And there's a
couple of these places where make sure it's got a
really cool uh like spa area, a great pool, and
and then the way that the way that the facility
is built that you can almost be as long as
you stay on property, but you feel like you're someplace else.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yes, you know that's why if I'm picking a staycation.
My wife absolutely loves Animal Kingdom. You feel like you're
on a vacation, You're you got the you got the animals,
you got the like.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
She loves that place.

Speaker 7 (19:05):
Out that way I mean, I just forgot the name
is worlds some I forget the name of the of
the chain something world Center. But instead of making the
right to digital and make the left to their complex. Okay,
I did one out there one time and it literally
felt like I was someplace else. Yeah, that's the key
element for me personally.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
And Okay, So when you go on a staycation, do
you want to party or do you want to relax?

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (19:28):
It all depends, right, maybe a healthy mixture of both. Right, Like,
you know, one night you kind of want that you get,
you know, blow it out. Yeah, and then the rest
of the time you're out by the pool and you
take advantage of the spa agreed.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Right, how about you're gonna do a staycation and money's
not an object. You're here, you live in Orlando. Yeah, uh,
and you're you just want a big you know, you
just one gambling big and you can go wherever you want.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Where are you gonna staycation.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Here in town?

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Well, it's it's stay So I guess we've said the
rules are you could drive anywhere into Florida and it's
a staycation.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
So probably Saint Augustine. I know, yeah, I do you
know what you know what I just found out though,
what it's a fake town.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
It's not a fake town.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
Follow me if you will, will I guess this should
have made sense the whole time. I don't know, but
George Street always thought, George Street, all that stuff that's
there has been there since like the seventeen eighteen hundred.
It has no it was built in the sixties.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
It was not.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yes, it was, dude, Scott Yorke does My buddy Scott
York does tours there all the time. There are homes
and houses that are there. If that are old, old, old, what.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
It's a fraud.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
So it is not a fraud.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
I'm telling you this is a real thing.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Scott Yorck, call and tell Rani's moron.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
So in the sixties they did have some older houses
and older buildings, but like what you see now, those
are all been like redone and refurbished and made to
look like how they would have looked.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Then.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
None of that is real, that.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Is not.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
I watched a whole video on it the other day,
and I was fascinated because, like much like you, I
was living, I was told this lie. Everything's been here
since the fort No, they did it the big tourist
thing in the sixties to get to push for more tourism.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
So all of that has been redone.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Okay, I'm not gonna die on this hill because I
don't know for sure, but from what I understand, and
I said, my buddy Scott.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
York is a tour guide there, get him on the phone.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
I would like to from when I know that, like
the one house he was staying in had been there
since the like fifteen hundreds.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
That was the what I was told to that bill
of goods.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
But apparently there's like you know, all of that true ish,
it hasn't got good.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
You've got to ruin everything. The fort's been there since
the fifteen hundred, Yes, well it's been there. I think
it was fourteen something so, but like everything outside of
how far are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (21:55):
That was that George Street. There's a wall there that
was built right that wall is That wall is real,
And there's homes that they are like the old okay
the word the oldest schoolhouse has been there.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
No get refurbished design.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
I'm telling you this is Saint Augustine is a land
of lies. It's a beautiful land of lies. I love
hanging out there. Hold on, but I was. I was
under the impression in fifth grade when we took our
fifth grade field trip to Saint Augustine that we're going
to the oldest city and all of this stuff has
been there. Turns out no, it's from the damn sixties.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I listen. I don't know that you're saying telling the truth,
but I'm on.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
I need confirmation of this because otherwise these YouTube videos
I watched a bunch of them are all liars.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Saint Augustine's full of lies. So if Saint Augustine isn't
the oldest city in Florida, it is the oldest. Okay,
Ryan's spreading lives.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I'm talking specifically about George Street.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
That that that big touristy area right there where you
walk through and it looks like old houses are on
side of you.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
That was all made in the nineteen sixties.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Hold on, I got, I got, I got a tour
guide who's calling right now. Actually I think he's online
one they got you know what, I back up my
stuff with the.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Hey, get please correct me if I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah, we are going to correct you.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
I got a but yeah, for the four hundred year
anniversary is in the sixties.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
You know what on the line with right now?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
You know what when when I argue, I get a
professional on the line and Ryan, you don't care about facts.
You got your Ryan Holmes is trying to say that
Saint Augustine is full of lies, that George Street was
built in the sixties and it's just lie, lie, liar
down the street. I said, I got a buddy that
does tours there. You know the facts, Scotty York, tell

(23:50):
him what's up?

Speaker 5 (23:53):
Man?

Speaker 4 (23:53):
If you call an expert every time that you tell
a lie, your.

Speaker 8 (23:56):
Phone will never hang up. Man, right, let me, let
me say, let me set both.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Of you straight.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
So here in the city of Saint Augustine, there are
only thirty five original colonial structures left in the city.
Most of the buildings that you.

Speaker 8 (24:09):
Do see walking along, especially along.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Saint George Street, are reconstructions of bold buildings. If it's
a reconstruction, it's been rebuilt on its original site and
built to look like one of the buildings that used
to stand there. That building that I used to live
in was originally constructed in seventeen sixty, but it was
reconstructed in nineteen sixty, so that was the four hundredth
anniversary of the founding of the city.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
So it's not a lie. It's reconstructed.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
It's not a lie.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
It is because I, like, again, I should have known this.
This should have been explained to me in my fifth
grade field trip. But I thought those buildings were the
ones that were there since the seventeen hundred.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Scotty, York, what about the oldest schoolhouse?

Speaker 8 (24:49):
You should have had a better tour guide, Ryan, Now.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I needed you, Scott, what about what about the oldest schoolhouse? Scotty?
Is it the original building?

Speaker 4 (25:00):
Yes, built sometime between seventeen sixty and seventeen sixty three.

Speaker 8 (25:04):
Okay, that's an original building.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
That's an original building.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
So they got a few of them there.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
But I'm saying most of it, like the tourist that
specific tourist part of George Street is from the sixties.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
But Scotty, what about some of the old homes and
stuff that we see there and when you take the tour,
like those are original?

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Right?

Speaker 4 (25:22):
My house is built in eighteen ninety Yeah, he said,
there was on my streets built in eighteen forty, and
another one right across the street from that one's built
in eighteen oh seven. So one of the biggest challenges
that I face when visitors coming here to Saint Augustine
is they walk up and down Saint George Street three
or four times and think they've seen the city, and
you haven't seen anything but the trinkets treasures in junk.

Speaker 8 (25:44):
What you have to do is get off on some
of the side.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Streets and take a guided tour, a private guided tour.

Speaker 8 (25:50):
Even as much as I hate to say it, even.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
The trolley tours I love, but I'd rather see you
do a golf cart tour or a guided walking tour
where you can actually learn some of the facts instead
of the disnified version of Saint Augustine's history.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Hey, Scotty, are you still doing that now?

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Like?

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Can people call you and do that? How did they
get holding you? Scotti?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
They can go to my website at see America Tours
dot net or just wherever you find me take Instagram,
shoot me a message.

Speaker 8 (26:17):
Especially to your listeners. I'm gonna reach back out to
them and.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
I'm going to get them scheduled on a tour and
we'll set them straight. And I'd love to invite Ryan
and Christina up to come and make up for that
lousy fourth grade field trip.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
That Yudy nook.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
I love Saint Augustine and I love I love going
up and seeing Scotty and he knows everything about Saint Augustine.
Do you still have the museum there where people can
make the candles and all that stuff.

Speaker 8 (26:41):
Yeah, we teach hands on interactive history at their Treasure
Chess Museum.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
They can go to Treasure Chessmuseum dot com and book
a tour there. I just finished up a tour and
as soon as I got.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Home, I put them bi heart app and I hear
y'all talking about Saint Augustine.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Of course, I'm brad to bring you up, scott Hey.
So that's considered a staycation. So if you go to
Saint Augustine, are there a lot of places to stay?
I mean I know that you guys bet and breakfasts
and stuff. But if people can't afford that, there's hotels
like Outskirts right, there.

Speaker 8 (27:14):
Are hotels all over this town.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
We have over a thousand registered Airbnbs in the city
of Saint Augustine alone. Oh wow, do you have between
the vacation rentals the campgrounds, I mean, there's something for
every budget. Or just come up for a day trip,
but spend the whole day here and let me show
you around. I'm on my retirement lap. I am retiring
at the end of May.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
No really, anybody that has.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Ever traveled with me or wants to travel with me again.

Speaker 8 (27:42):
Or has never done it, and.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Once the opportunity, this is your last chance to do it.
I'm retiring at the end of May.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Listen, my best out of York when we went to
Ireland the first time. My man knows how to do
a tour and knows how to set everything up. And
so you're retiring, what are you gonna do? Oh come on,
scott you're not retiring. You you like the work too much.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
June first, I'm leaving the country. I'm headed to Portugal
in Spain, and then after thirty days there, I'm headed
to Ireland, and then continuing on.

Speaker 7 (28:12):
Scotty, you're one in Portugal and find the woman of
your dreams and never leave.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Oh no, and get married. Oh yeah, you're getting married
when you find would you find the Scotty's gonna get married?
You're right age No, no, no.

Speaker 7 (28:25):
When you when you run into the volume of expaid
expats that live in Portugal and get accustomed to that.
You're not wanting You're not gonna want to go anywhere.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Listen, you know what.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
I'm gonna send you my website and let you check
out just the first year alone. I've got it all
mapped out, got it all planned out already. I am
looked so looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
But hell, I might go with you to Portugal.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Home, let's go June first.

Speaker 7 (28:49):
Hey, June first of twenty twenty seven, twenty six, this year, yeah,
twenty seven. I was gonna say June first was a
couple weeks ago, Budy. Listen, it's Scott Scotty. Remember that
time Mary Ellen almost push it in and get married.
You almost, Oh, Scotty, you need to be you need

(29:13):
to be married.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Damn it.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Manin hey, Man, thanks for calling Scotty.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
But if you, if you go to Saint Augustine, hook
up with Scotty York, he will, he will take you
on an incredible tour. He knows exactly what he's talking about.
And see, Ryan, it's not all fake.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
But it is.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
It's well, it's rebuilt, it's refurbished. I mean, it's you
need a better tour guy. Yeah, Bryan, I was sad
to learn this.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Hey, I want to go get best augmentation.

Speaker 8 (29:43):
Is that fake or is that rebuilt?

Speaker 2 (29:45):
There you go look at that.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
I mean, but even if you got the fakers, you
know the time. All right, Scott, than beautiful.

Speaker 1 (29:54):

if you know, and ladies, you know why hot tape?

Speaker 2 (32:01):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (32:02):
Monsters, it's concrete.

Speaker 9 (32:04):
Mike, here's my hot take on standing or sitting to pete.
If I am in public, I will stand and use
the journal. At home, I do not because the peepee
sprinkles that splash from the water get on the floor,

(32:24):
splash onto the walls, splash on your feet.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
It's not cool. Exactly, it is better to sit.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
Okay, let's let's normalize sitting for men's at their homes,
not in public restrooms.

Speaker 10 (32:37):
Hot take, Good morning, It's Melinda Ryan. A guided towards
Du Saint Augustine is the way to go. I was
a chaperone for the fourth grade field trip. I learned
so much. The cemeteries there that are very very old.
You know who I found out is buried there? Ye
dead people?

Speaker 3 (32:56):
My hot egg.

Speaker 11 (33:08):
Hey monsters, little cairen here have you belated birthday?

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Fellow Jim and I Angel.

Speaker 11 (33:15):
When you were talking about your black sock issue, I
thought you were trying to set up another joke with
a Tom Hanks reference. And you know Forrest Gump where
he was sitting on the porch. So anyway, and maybe
giggle and then feel sorry, Sad. I don't know anyhow,
Charles love y'all.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
I don't know what she means at all. When yeah
when uh hot Negg.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
Ryan but Russ but Angel but the only man that sits.

Speaker 9 (33:44):
Down to pee.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
All the feminine ones in the jails and prisons. So
my advice if you're.

those places.

Speaker 2 (33:55):

Speaker 3 (33:59):
Yeah, Yeah, Okay, that was that's weird. That's weird. Man,
