to text us. Right now at seven seven zero three one,
I have a computer right in front of me, and
so does Angel, and sometimes we text you back and
communicate with you and talk with you and we're kind
of like your buddies on the way to work on
a beautiful Tuesday. Was up guys, I'm Russ Rollins, host
of the program and went with us. So we got
(01:20):
an old man coming in today. I think we got
a lady coming in today. We got a bunch of
stuff going on. We'll be doing this until around eleven o'clock.
Here's the producer in the Angel Boom, Angel Vera and
the King down my rying home. You get you into
you today, sir. Happy birthday Angel.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
It's angel birthday.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
And I totally get like, you know, half me goes man,
it's your birthday. You can take the day off. But
the other half of me gets it. It's like I'd
be the same way, like I want to come in
and have fun with the fellows to do. My thing
is what to lay there? And what was your thought process?
Did did you kind of halfway wanted to take off
or or.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Or or nah I wanted to come in.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, yeah, it's yeah, it's more fun to goof off
right right, goof around and half Well, happy birthday. I
didn't I don't have anything for you.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
That's fine.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I apologize and then ass and as always, you know,
getting this morning, I go out and marry and so
I got something. Oh good, you got something for Angels,
goes No, that's Ryan. I'm like, well, it's Angel's birthday.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I got she hooked us up my daughter and I
last week.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
The jams.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, well here's what I hide them jams from me.
I saw him, don't know, but they was those were
for the daughter. Well, well it was for you and
the daughter. But here's there's thing.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
So the way that I break that stuff down is like,
because I sauce, absolutely gonna use the spaghetti sauce with.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
All that stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
So that's so that's why I've been like, well, why
did you make from Ryan?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Well?
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Ryan cornered me at the at the event and said
he was out of pickles.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Then he wanted more pickles. So here you go.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
You got four of the three containers of fresh pickles.
So there you go. I never gave you nothing. Uh,
this was supposed to be for I thought it was
an angel's day. It's Angel's birthday, and you get a prize,
you get a present, you got pickles. I mean, I'm
the pickle guy. There's two things I am in this town.
(03:20):
Swords and pickles.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
It's very phallic, both of them. Yeah, you sends my
big d energy a lot of phallic there, and you
know what she says, she goes.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
You know, I'll probably be making pickles for now because
the cucumbers keep growing. Yeah, I'm not going now. They
know you're we're a pickle factory for Ryan Holmes exactly.
In fact, you should call him. I'll get you labels,
Ryan Holmes pickle fact. See, that's what I want to
have a label because to me, it makes it look
better if there's some sort of label. I'm not gonna
call him Ryan Home like Mary Owen the pickle. Now,
(03:56):
let's don't do that. I'll think of some other things.
So do you have the plans or anything things especial
for your for your birthday?
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Angel, I'm gonna go hang out with my parents for
a little bit and then uh hang out with my
my daughter for a little bit, and then I just
uh probably grabbed dinner with the guys.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yeah yeah, yeah, crazy at I mean, like you know,
if you're if you're in your twenties, you probably don't
believe this, right right, But then as you do get older,
the importance of your birthday does dwindle.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
You're like, yeah, it's my birthday.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
You're like, you don't expect gifts, you don't you know,
you just want to maybe spend some time with people
you like.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And then it's really yeah for.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
The just for the most part, a really huge shout
out to Boost and his wife. They got me a
cool little gifts that they gave me at the at
our Mount Dora show. So uh he got me a
really cool hot Wheels car and then like a little
DJ set up and everything. So I love them for that.
So it's like little things like that that are that are.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Cool you know yeah yeah yeah, yeah, uh yeah. Anyway,
so yeah, I hope you have a good birthday. Do
something fun, which Hey you know what you want us
to order?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Breakfast? Are you're hungry?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh, I'll always say yesterday, right, I'll buy Birthday Angel.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
There you go? Yeah, how was it? Ain't getting present surprises?
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Why love Angel's birthday?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Go get some steaks.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
They got a good shrimp there. Yeah, yeah, all right,
I'll buy breakfast. We all guys want breakfast. I need eggs.
I just need just protein. Protein is your workout. I
am on a good run. I went yesterday and worked out,
and I'm not hating it. I actually enjoyed it. I
listened to uh, you know, listen to music. U. I
did all the I did, not just the machines that
Poppy D told me to do. I threw some extra
(05:44):
ones in there. I'm gonna go in going outside the
workout playing. He only told me to do so many things.
I did more uh and uh and and he like
on the road machine, I only was supposed to do
so many minutes. I did double. So I'm starting to
you know, which is uh, which is good? And getting
into it a little bit. All right, happy for you.
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
They're big in that gym.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
I like that gym because it's so big that I
don't really have to talk to anybody. You know. That's
a real thing. Yeah, yeah, no, no, I got you.
It is a real thing. The other gym in a
popka a lot. And I'm not trying to beat, you know,
but I just kind of want to beat to myself.
A lot of people want to come over and say
hi and talk, and I don't really want to do
that one.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
I'm Jim right, you know, I want to just do
my gym stuff. I don't get these people that talk
at Jim. I'm not there to socialize. It's not for
me to do that. But there's a there's a version
of a dude that's like there to hang out and
talk all day, and I like, you're kind to see
him working out and kind of not but he's just
a gabbing away like a go.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Okay, I don't know if I say this, I don't
want if he done here.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
But I was walking talking to one dude and he hey,
you can see here, blah bah blah, and then go, yeah, man,
I just come here to look at all the hot
chicks man and.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Gut out that is not okay.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
And he's pointing out women on on elliptical machines and
girl over there your problem, and I'm like, yeah, yeah,
you know, I don't want to get into it with him,
so I'm like, oh, yeah, that's cool, okay, and I
just put my headphones back. I'm like, man, that's is
that a common thought? I guess if you're a younger
guy and you got a lot of testostero, like is
he a younger guy? He was a younger guy, Like
(07:15):
if you had to guess thirty something, like, you know,
he should have outgrown that. Yeah, you you out it's creepy, right, yeah,
you know you outgrow that by twenty five. And then
to say that to a guy who's sixty one, you know,
like they're taking out goggling at the girls.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
I'm like, it's a weird. It's one of those weird
things with gym culture and working out culture and everything.
Cause and it's a blend of a couple of things.
Because for every guy that like, we're going to say
that about this guy and being and being that way, right,
and then there's gonna be a bunch of Jim bros.
Are gonna be like, yeah, but the chicks go they
show up there and they're barely clothed and they're shooting
what this guy was saying, and they're shooting content and
(07:50):
they're doing all that stuff, and so they want me
to look, you know, and you know, and it's like
that's not that's that's not.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
How that works. Brong.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Now, I will tell you I've only seen a couple
who are shooting content and videos themselves and stuff. Most
your ladies just kind of working out on their own,
doing their own thing. And when the girl that this
guy was pointing at, she was just kind of looked
like a mom that was just doing her own thing.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
And my guy's kind of creepy to point her out.
Super cep. It is right, Okay, It's not like.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
There's nothing wrong with Like you're going about your day,
you see an attractive person and you just get like
you acknowledge it in your own head, and then you
move on to be like, I'm the guy that's here,
and I'm here for the ladies to look at him
and look what they're wearing.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
They deserve it because we look at what they're wearing,
get at.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Him, and here's what I look at the cans on
that one.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
So and here I go a little even deeper, like, okay,
So he wanted to tell me that he's listened for
a long time, he said, So he thinks that's the
kind of person I like from what he's heard about
me and all the past. He thinks that that impresses me,
like like you don't listen, like I don't. Maybe back
in the day, back when we were nerdy show or whatever,
but like now I'm, you know, a little bit older.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Let's bring the run. Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Like, why would you think that impresses me that you're
You're like, I'm only here for the hot hot ladies here.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Look at her over there rest.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I'm like, oh, yeah, cool, Okay, these ladies, Like, I
don't know what it is.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
I don't know why, why it's men.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
It suddenly seems either men forgot a lesson or never
learned a lesson lately. But it's like ladies are are
just wearing what they want because a it's comfortable and
they're looking good for themselves. Man, they're not looking good
for you. They're not out trying to find boyfriends. Wife
at the gym at this drives me crazy. I'll go
to be going the same gym forever.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Right, I've had zero dudes really like come over to
me and be like, hey, this is how you should
work out.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Right. My wife goes though, all of a.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
Sudden, everybody is so helpful out of my face.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Dude, you're being creepy. Your women don't like that.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah, I'm not saying like like you know, there's ways
to shoot your shot and things like that, but like
to go and just just be there, be somewhere to
just leer is growth. So they they've gone over to
Christine and try to tell her how to work to
a certain.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
Any woman, Yeah, any woman that like goes to a gym,
like these bros are like they're like sharks, dude.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
They're like then they're like, oh, your forms will off.
Let me help you. It's so disgusting.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, I get wanted to help, but like if I would,
I would say, they're gonna argue like, oh, I'm just helping, bro,
You've never helped the dude.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I've never watched you help a dude.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
I had one guy do A guy do that to
me one time, tell me that I wasn't doing the
row machine right, and I was so offended. I'm like,
leave me alone. I'm doing it the way I want
to do it. I don't want to hear from you.
Oh I've been doing it for a long time and
you're really doing it wrong, you know, Like Yeah, I'm like, yess, I'm.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Good, dude. I know what I'm doing. Like I got
I got, I got.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Kind of a mouthy unless somebody's really in a way
that they're going to hurt themselves.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
I wasn't gonna hurt my right exactly. I was doing it,
then you can help.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
I was doing the row and I had it like this,
and then when I got to this point, I would
curl it because I wanted to do curls and do
two things at once.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I just not the way you do it supposed to
be the other way around it, Like.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Well, I'm doing it different because I want to you know,
it's not her and anything that I'm doing it this way.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Anyone to argue with me?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, Yeah, Like I like I got the personal trainer.
He helps me with my form overall, and there's like
minor stuff for sure that I needed to fix. Yeah,
But like if I if I see somebody doing something
wrong in the gym, I'm not going over to help
them unless they're like doing something that they're about to
break their backs, and then I'll be like, hey, bro,
like be careful with that texting service. Someone that wants to,
(11:23):
you know, just get on us or whatever. Well, rush
you make a point to only have attractive women on
the show. Yeah, we're doing a radio show. Yes, we're
doing a show for entertainment. You are correct, sir. We're
talking about personal time in the gym and leering at girls,
you know, as they're working out, two totally different things too,
totally Remember, guys, this is cartoon world. We couldn't behave
(11:46):
or carry on this way in the.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Real world exactly. This is why we do it between
six and eleven.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, just saying all the thoughts that you think out loud.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
It's all intrusive thoughts right now, that's a good slogan.
I'm offers intrusive thoughts.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Rady right right right, yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
So by the way, they're Florida. Seven's the girl the
girls on the show, the Florida. I'm not talking New
York nines here, Okay, you know or l A t
got a couple of eights. Come on, let's be honest.
Where well I mean, I mean, you know the pictures
if you look at pictures anyway, all right, Remember I
(12:26):
offered it by breakfast, all right, so remember that, uh
and a bunch of big we got.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Jeff, how's going to come in to day.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
If he remembers in Florida, if he remembers I think
Angela's in right, it's Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I don't know. It's a roll the dice.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
And we to take the barbs. We got a bunch
of stuff going on today. Don't go anywhere. You're listening
to the mantras in the morning. Happy Tuesday morning was up?
Angel Birthday, Happy birthday, Angel, Ryan Holmes here today.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Jeff House supposed to come.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
In later, he remembers, Uh, and then I think it's
Angeliqu's day. Uh and uh. And we're gonna get breakfast.
That's that's all I know. And the first hour we
all just kind of talk amongst ourselves. Hey, uh, we
gotta get that order in before other people show up. Run,
I know, I try to tell him. I pulled out
my cash and said, hey, rush, Rush, I got cash
money here.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
It takes me a second because I've used my wife
super Eats because I'm not allowed to use it on own.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I have her text me the verification. You didn't restrict it.
Could you order too much?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
No? Because I used your credit card and then they
banned me.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Oh that's still getting you.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Yeah, I'm permanent life.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I'm I think I am too, because that ex girlfriend
did the same thing. So I can't get uber Eats either,
So there's got to be an appeal process, you would think. So,
you know, after a few years would.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Be like, okay, yeah, I got I need to go.
I need I'm up for parole. Judge, judge.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
They let you order like small meals, like twelve dollars meals,
Like you guys should see me.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
You're missing a lot of business. Do you know who
you're talking to?
Speaker 5 (13:59):
I know something up too, and I got to give
it up to American Express because like I have American
Express now because I have good credit for the first
time in my life. So I got it and it's
a super anti froudy card shut everything down. So like
Russ has given me his credit card before to do
Uber Eats on a different account and his American Express
is like, nah, can't do it.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're smart like that. Had a buddy
of mine.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
I was out when I went to go see the
Black Crows, so we hit the casino real quick, and
my buddy goes to the ATM machine and man, you
would have thought that he was like trying to rob
the ATM machine inside the casino because it like it
shut down and his phone started blowing up and then
he actually had to talk to somebody and he's like, yeah,
I'm in the casino, like, let me get my money.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, so you just got Americans. I've been doing American
Express man since I had my party company, Like, I've
had an American Express for it. And I don't know
why I started with that, but I did. I just
stick with it because you get bonus points and all
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
I was holding off on it because like it's internationally
you can't really use an American Express. There's still like
a lot of places like not a ton anymore.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I never had a problem. I used it when I
went to Prague.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Yeah, every now and then I just run into a
problem and they're like no American Express, and okay, don't
leave home without it.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
But what I do is like I like to sign
up for credit card, especially when I make a big purchase.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
Yeah you know, and then I just get all those
points and I have like ten credit cards now right, I.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Just have to I really just use that one. And
I got the big fancy you know, the platinum. I
want that metal one. I like that big metal one.
People hand me that card at the farmer's market. I'm
just like you got your life together but out but.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
It's the Barclay one. I want the black one.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
It was just like like like he drops it and it's.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Like, yeah, okay, so yesterday we'll talk about more of
this later or whatever. But I was doing the four
oh seven Fox thirty five and they were in the Kendall,
who is the producer, Hey, rest, we're gonna be a
little bit later today because we've got the big story.
What it's a big story. Oh yeah, And she's like
the earthquake. I'm like earthquake. What yeah, earthquake in Florida.
(16:03):
She's like, you didn't feel it. I'm like no, man
I and Mary Ellen sends me a text because they
say there was an earthquake, but I did you feel
anything because I mean the back part of the house.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, and she s so she me text him like
I didn't feel nothing.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
But it was big story yesterday that and I don't
know exactly what time, but they were like, hey, you know,
there was an earthquake. So they're showing it was around
two o'clock. So they're showing people who had video of
the earthquake. So there's one dude and he's like showing
his blinds and his blinds move a little bit, and
another one. Here's another guy, and then they show the
guy's pool and a little ripple in a pool, and
(16:38):
there's another one who was like a you know, the
one little door kind of moving it was. And then
after that they're like, oh, and by the way, there
was a an earthquake in the Philippines.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
That was that because I as a joke.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
I'm like, because they when it came on Fox thirty
five mar Lisa Goldsmith, I love her, She's so cool,
but she's like rusted you did you feel the hurricane
or the earthquake? And I'm like, no, I wish I would.
I haven't felt one yet. I never felt one. And
then I felt bad when I saw the Philippine Well, yeah,
you don't want to. You don't want to feel that
because those are buildings falling down, kids getting killed, like
(17:14):
you know, that's that's an earthquake. I didn't feel anything yesterday,
did you guys? Did you guys get any earthquake feelings?
Speaker 5 (17:22):
My wife was on a zoom call and a bunch
of people that worked for her work from home, right,
and one girl works in a high rise in downtown Orlando,
and she's like, hey, guys, I have to get off
this call. The whole apartment building is shaking.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Okay, that would be scary. Yeah, I guess Maybeel, Like
you were a high rise, you felt it a lot.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
More when I when I lived in that condo, I
was at the top floor, so that probably would have
it would have shaken a little bit.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
That would have been scary. Angel. Did you feel the
earthquake at all? I was asleep sleep. I just woke
up to it.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
So I wonder because because my neighbor next door, now
this was in winter Heaven, She's like she didn't feel
anything either. So I wonder if the fault line ran
through Orlando and not through winter Haven, Like, does it
work that way? I don't know how it works. I'm
not an earthquake. We feel vibrate. The episode or the
it was off the coast of Cuba, Cuba, or the
(18:17):
or the golf. They won't call it the golf of
anything anymore. It's just the golf. I noticed that they
elect not to call it the golf of Mexico.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
They don't call it the golf of America. It's just
the golf.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
But yeah, it was right off Cuba, which you know,
I think it hit them a little harder, didn't it.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Yeah, And then and it was stronger as you got
more deeper into the golf, so like you got to
figure like the place, you know, my any South Florida
felt it the most, and what we ended up getting
here in Orlando was kind of like the vibrations of it.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
Yeah, I mean, like they said, this was the second
most powerful earthquake that hit Florida. I guess, like I guess,
we do get earthquakes every so often.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
There's a Beach Boys song about it, is there? Yeah,
what's it called vibration? Stupid? Nice?
Speaker 1 (18:59):
I've lived here my entire life, and I think I
remember a long time ago while we were doing the
show and everything, that there was a story, there was
a story about there being an earthquake. But I didn't
feel it then either. I don't think i've ever I've
never felt an earthquake. I don't know what it's like. Now.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
You lived in you lived in California for a while,
did you have any then?
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
I felt a couple there though. Ones that I remember
the strongest because it happened while we were in class,
was Anchorage Alaska. So we were like in class and
I thought the girl behind me was messing with me
because she was like pushing my my desk right, and
so I was about to turn around and ask her,
you know, not to push my desk, and at that moment,
the teacher like runs into the classroom and tells everybody
(19:41):
to get under under the ear. That was you know,
like that was our thing. You get under the desks
or whatever. And it lasted just a few moments. But
that was like the first time I remember feeling that.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
So people are texting in and they said that Jim
Colbert said that he felt it in the building, and
then so did Sea Lane in the building here. So
maybe if you were in a building that was, yeah,
you could feel it. I was on this a little bit.
I told you we have we have earthquakes all the time. No,
there's a list of complete Florida earthquakes. There was one
eleven days ago near Palm Bay, seventy days ago near Jacksonville.
(20:15):
They're all under two. So this one was a six
point one. But the last big.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
One we had was in twenty twenty and it was
a seven point seven over by Miami.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
How big does an earthquake have to be to worry
about a tsunami, you know what I'm saying like that,
that's that's what I think when you get into the seventh, Yeah,
anything over a seven and then and then that's when
the water gets you know, like a big because if
I meant saying, it's just coming back. But I remember
if like hurricane, the scale of hurricanes is log morithm
(20:46):
log damn, I'm not gonna be able to say the
word logmarithic, meaning that like the difference between a six
and a seven, it's not like it goes up incrementally,
like the difference from a six to a seven.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I see, what are you a child so proud of?
So we were so proud of a six seven? Yeah?
I mean with the kids, man, But.
Speaker 5 (21:11):
It's uh, but like a six and a seven car pstrophic. Man,
I cannot speak today with the big words. Let's go
back to six seven you what do you get what
you had about what you're saying?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
So the earthquake scale, like the difference between a two
and a three isn't that much, right, but the difference
between the six and a seven and a seven and
a eight is a huge difference.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Late at night. Yeah, big, big difference. Yesterday we had
a Florida six. We had a Florida six yesterday. According to.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
What's Up the U S G U S G S,
anything magnitude does mag two six, four, five or greater
can trigger a tsunami. Yeah, but typically it's seven point
fives to eight.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I went to I went to somewhere one time and
it was a batter quake, think at Universal Studios.
Speaker 5 (22:04):
It's weird how that was just in that one spot.
I experienced one of those one time. It was it
was an earthquake at the Orlanta Funny Bone, and it
was just a.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Big black guy. He's pretty funny too. He is very funny.
He's pretty funny. Earthquake.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Uh yeah, well it was big news for them, you know,
because they and I guess you know, if you fell
an earthquake at something, it's just like when snow happens here.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
You know, it's just a an anomaly that we're normally
not used to.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
Yeah, I felt I wanted to make the joking Facebook
post too, like a lot of people were doing like oh,
Mark say, from the earthquake, but like then that horrific
one did happen just like hours before and the Philippines
and like that feels well, I.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Know, that's why I felt bad making a flip it
they all I wish I would have felt it. And
then I saw the one of the Philippines and that
was like, oh, okay, that's the bad stuff that can happen.
I mean buildings fall down, but okay. So here in
Central Florida, though, do they make the buildings equipped to
handle earthquakes?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Good question, Like I would like.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
I know, we have Hurricane Glass and Hurricane you know this,
and hurricane could worry about hurricane, but all that hurricane oparation,
does that work for earthquake stuff? Now?
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I don't think we build for earthquakes at all.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
That's why I hate. That's why I absolutely hate parking garages.
I know it sounds silly, but in nineteen eighty nine,
I remember sitting and I'm watching a baseball game or whatever,
and they had that the most incredible, horrible earthquake in
the world, and they show these people in a in
a parking garage and the whole thing crashing on the cars,
and I'm like, I've been afraid of I've been afraid
(23:40):
of parking garages. Ever since because of that particular experience,
and we don't get a whole lot of earthquakes here.
But I mean, do you think the parking garages here
are earthquake proof?
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Not at all.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
I don't either, So I don't go in thank you
to all the nerds texting in one of the nerds
texting me personally, Ryan, Actually, what you're thing of exponential increases,
not logarithmic thank you.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Exponential increases. Yes, I know what that means, but what
do we referring to.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
It's just like it basically like a six to a seven.
The seven isn't up by one, it's double.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Oh it is exponential. Okay, yeah, okay, that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
So, according to the Florida Building Code, Florida does not
require or enforce earthquake seismic construction guidelines for new standard
buildings because the state is considered to have virtually no
earthquake threat the state. The state's construction focus is placed
heavily on wind resistance and structural durability against hurricanes.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
So we're on the fourth floor and we spend most
of our lives in this building, in this spot. If
there were some freak, you know, let's say a ten
point two earthquake. We're toasted this building you don't think.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Would be not at all.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
We get and we get a ride. Now, that's what
you're saying, is a ten two is catastrophic? Well we've
just had a six point something, right, so I just
doubled it and kind of yeah. So but like you
just told you, exponential, exponential goes up by a lot
of lot ten would literally shatter the earth in half.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Oh okay, so what's the further you can go?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Up?
Speaker 3 (25:14):
To?
Speaker 2 (25:15):
An eight? I know, I mean like seven eights. Yeah,
if you get a nine six and a half, it
wasn't that bad. We just we just got a little trimmers,
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
The scale, it seems like it would be like a
six and a seven would be the same thing, but
because the scale is exponential, a seven is actually way
more damaging. God damn it again, it again, Sorry Sandy,
it cursed again.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Don't start apologizing to Sandy. The one woman that complains about.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
Oh is she She's a nice lady that complains a lot.
I know, but like a lot I think about her
a lot. I've been trying to like curb it. Oh
really yeah, but it's goddamn hard.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
At eight at eight point five would level Orlando, It was, yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Okay, so so so this building could take a six
point five we walked up, but remember they can't take
a seven.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
You know, we could barely take a light jump from you.
You know what.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Here's the other thing though, it would be worried the
origin of it. Right if the fault line is right
under Orlando and we get hit with a straight up
six and a half, we're done for.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Well, we just had. The one we just had was
right off the coast of Florida.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
No fault line, Yeah, and it was so it was
further so we were feeling the vibrations of that vibration.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Uh uh with local earthquake expert Marky mart That's exactly
what I was thinking about. So did Cuba get any
of the big waves you know, likenami waves not from
uh as of right now we have would go.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Out from Cuba.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
So Cuba wanted to get the waves, We would get
the wave South Florida would, yeah, but there wasn't enough
to take a sonami.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
So Tampa didn't get any like extra waves or anything
like that by having an earthquake. No, So it wasn't
that big of a thing. Wasn't that big of a deal. Really,
she's got a big deal here in Orlando. I'm sure
if you were in Miami you felt a different type
of way Cuba felt and Cuba. Yeah, like you're not
doing it.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Like if you're again, if you're at the epicenter of
this thing and and it's right off your coast, a
six point five is going to feel way different than
it does here.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
And how oft in Cuban gets them and then like
that's actually the origin of a Cuban sandwich was making
a sandwich. An earthquake happen, a rock fell on it,
smushed sandwich.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Jordan breakfast. I'm working on it.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Okay, all right, remember you guys, in this first hour,
we don't even think about We don't think you're listening.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
This is warm up.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
This is just talking about our sounds. Show starts at seven.
You didn't you does unfortunately, have to listen right now.
Don't go anywhere, you early bird. You're listening to imagine morning,
all right, what come out of the Master's oneting is
(28:08):
already on one of four point one.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
I am Russ.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Rawlins along with Angel Rovera and Ryan Holmes and what
we got it. We got to bring up the you know,
biggest story probably of the night, people waking up wondering
who won last night. I know we're talking. We'll talk
about this moren monster sports, but uh uh I want
to bring up the and like you know, sometimes politics
gets involved in uh in regular life, and that's it happens.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
So don't cry and whine.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
If you're a Trumper and you're mad that we're gonna
say things that you don't like, just get over it.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
It's going to happen. As it had some lady calling
in yesterday. I wanted to bark at you about all that.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
I don't want to hear it. Like, here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Uh So the President decides to go last night to
the game, and there's a lot of New Yorkers that said, listen,
if we lose, you know it's good. We're blaming it
on the president. Uh and I want to listen. I
have t d yes right uh Trump during just something
I and standing guy and everything. I love to watch
to see him do dumb stuff. So it just validates
(29:05):
how much I hate him. That's what I do all
the time. So I wanted to watch last night because
I'm oh, is he going to get booed? I can't
wait to see if he gets booed or not. It's
going to be fun to watch him get booed. So
I watch and they're doing the national anthem and they
show him up on the screen and yeah, he gets booed,
and guess what happens. They go back to the game
(29:25):
and he is not important anymore. I'm like, wow, it
kind of shows that it's like, not really that important.
I mean, yeah, he got booed, Okay, so what the
game was the most important thing? Everybody also added hours
into getting into Madison Square. He did. He made people
that had to get there two hours early. There are
a lot of people that couldn't have parties around the
(29:45):
event he fell asleep during the game. I mean, there
are people like I love Steven A.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Smith. Now I don't know why, I just do.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I just like that guy, and like, you know, he
was screaming and hollering no President, I don't care if
it's Obama, Reagan, whoever. Should be going to any game
in the the middle of Manhattan because it's so hard
to get in and get out and security risk and
it's makes it difficult for the fans, and they had
a bunch of different good reasons why he shouldn't have
been there, but so and they were saying, if we lose,
(30:12):
you're gonna ruin our momentum, and when blaming it on
the President. And they did lose last night. But I
had to think to myself because I don't believe in
Angel Rivera's who doo thing right, like, oh, Rush, you're
gonna you wear a hat, You're gonna make the team lose.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
I don't believe it in that.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Stuff been proven correct over and over and over and
over in the in the thirteen years that I've been
on this.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Show, Sorcery, that's who do That's that read?
Speaker 3 (30:36):
I've been proven again, if we were to go down
the timeline and get down to it, it's I've been
over ninety percent accurate.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
With that being said, I don't believe in that stuff.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
I can't believe that because the President was there, That's
why the Knicks lost.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
It's why the Chiefs lost. Rush I called it yesterday
with them not letting the fans around ms. They had
to go all the way to Central Park. There were
a couple moments during that game where the Knicks were
shooting bad and they needed that extra energy from the
fans that are around MSG to channel that, and they
didn't have that. They lost. What was the one thing
(31:17):
that was different that guy? But that's just that it's
super easy.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
It can't be real it.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Again, sometimes the realist things are the simplest things. And
this is very very simple. And yes it might be
tied to my irrational fandom, but again I have been
proven correct for a long I know it chapped your
ass when for a hot streak there every time you
wore a hat for somebody they lost, and you.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Were like, that was coincidence. It happens.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
It was actually one accurate every single time.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Run You can't tell me because the president was there,
this is why they lost.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
I can't believe that. I can.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
By the way, Oh, they interviewed the president afterwards and
he said that everybody was cheering for him, even though
we can hear the booze and it's on camera. He's
he told her, yeah, they were cheering for me. Let
another reason to not like him. But anyway, that that
being a totally different thing. I have TDS. It's my
(32:16):
you know, I can't help it. It's my you know,
my bad, I have that disease. But uh, but as
far as the president being there, and that's why they lost.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
I mean it's funny like even right now we got
people but because so like Fox, uh did a clip
of that and they changed the audio?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Did they?
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Yeah, And so we got people texting in and obviously
they are only getting their their source from one location.
But yeah, they're like, oh no, it was absolutely cheering,
blah blah blah blah. And I was like, man, like
you could go, like, you can find this stuff. You
don't have to argue with us. It goes you know,
you don't have you know, you get the headline everywhere
you know hasn't got boodle. You don't have to argue
with us. And you know you can call us all
(32:55):
the names and everything. Yeah, the internet can be your
friend as well. Fake news cheered.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
He did not, But it doesn't matter if you have
the people that are gonna believe what they want, and
just like me, I'm gonna believe what I want to believe.
You know, I dislike him so much. If he if
if it was a huge applause, I wouldn't have heard
it that way. You wouldn't no, I'm not there. I
(33:23):
dislike him so much.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
I'm not fair.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Yeah, yeah, like you know, he's to me and to me,
he's a felon that doesn't deserve to be there, and
I don't you know, so so I can't be uh,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Don't listen to me about it, just me. I'm not going.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
I mean, he only got like sixteen percent of the
numbers and voting from New York, you know him and
JD Vance, so like he like you have to I know,
he's like a New York guy, but he is not
liked in New York. Well at least three million people
voted for him in New York, so I mean, you know,
he there are people that like there.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Like I said, sixteen percent of that vote.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Yeah, but that if that from that point moment that
you're that number you're pulling to today that is completely
sweat because of the charity thing that happened in New York.
Because there's I mean, there's a bunch of New York
centric stuff that's happened. That's again it explains why the
whole family moved out of New York and they live
in Florida.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Yeah, so there's he may he hasn't said yes or no.
He's like, well, they cheered for me. I might go
to Game four. Do you think since they lost Game three?
How pissed off would New Yorkers be if he decided.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
To again, I don't know how to, like, if you're
a New York's fan, I don't know how you get
into Dolan. He's the owner of the next He's because
the only reason that President's area is because James Dolan
invited him and he's been a huge donor and everything.
I don't know how you get to that guy, Like,
I don't I don't know, but like you saw what happened.
It was it was a lovely It was a lovely night,
celebrities everywhere. When the team hit the court, it was
(34:48):
absolutely uh just riveting, just just the energy and everything.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
It really was.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Yeah, it was a really cool moment. And you're and
your your observation is right. Once the game got started was.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Yeah, they showed it.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
They booed, and then it's like, okay, now you don't
matter who cares, let's focus on the game. All the celebrities,
all the you're. It reminded me that all that stuff
we shouldn't be so wrapped up in it, and it doesn't.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Really be unless your team loses. And then and then
you look at it and you look at the big picture,
it's like, Okay, what did we do different that we
normally wouldn't have done under these kind of circumstances.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
This is the thing, so that for.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
Game four, you want to get back to your routine.
Both teams, both players on both sides said this was
like it broke up their routine, the process of them,
you know, get into the arena, all the things that
they had to do. Both teams had comments about about
that and how early you know, so that if you're
the Knicks and you're that organization and you can holler
(35:49):
at doing and you're like, why don't you guys go watch.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
It someplace else? All right, well, we'll talk more about
that during during Monster Sports. I am sure.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Now when we come back, we'll do a little bit trivia.
It's your chance to win some stuff, so we'll get
on the line. The telephone number is four oh seven
nine one six one oh four one. When you win trivia,
you get to plug and promote whatever you want and
you get to take the flour. Be prepared to do
that because that's part of getting your prize. We'll do
it when we come back. Don't go anywhere you're listening
to the Monster of the Morning.
