(00:54):
What is Up? Guys? I am Russ Rowlands along with
Ryan Holmes. Now it's not for Angel or Verre to
bring your monster sports.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
All right, my sports career start with some local action again.
Orlando Pride, defending their championship, took care of business on Friday,
eating the Seattle rain FC here at home to nil.
Their next match is going to be here again at
home Sunday, November the sixteenth, versus Gotham FC. Ticket tur
on sale as we speak. That's a three pm start time.
(01:24):
You can get them through Ticketmaster or through the Orlando
Pride website. But get out and support. Friday night was
a crazy night here in Orlando with Orlano Pride DC
and the Orlando Magic. Yeah it was this weekend. Orlando
Magic now had had a back to back versus the Celtics.
(01:47):
This is always tough in the regular season, but the
Friday game was the first Cup was the NBA Cup
game group stage, the first game of that, and the
Magic handled that spectacular Boston beating. This was on Friday,
remembers the front end of a back to back, beat them,
beat The Celtics won twenty three to one ten. Wow.
(02:09):
That was on Friday. Then you had Saturday, kind of
a recoup day. Then we played them again last night.
We did and we lost one eleven to one oh seven.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Okay, it's closer, it's close, and we beat them the
first game, beat the first game pretty heavenly.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, and that was again really really uh good game.
Today we play the trail Blazers. Trail Blazers are in
town again. When we like these running games, this is
what's always kind of difficult back to back and whatnot
like that. And then we played the Knicks on Wednesday
in Madison Square Gardens. So that's so funny.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
When you say the trail Blazers, I'm like, oh, Clyde Drexler,
how long is that?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
That's the nineties.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
I think there's last time I had ticket, but I
had tickets for the Orlando Magic gave you.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Know, ninety six, I think is when Houston went against
the Bulls, and I think or was Clyde with the
Bulls or Houston at that time.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, he ended his career in nineteen ninety eight.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Rests. Yeah, there was a time I was eight up
with basketball because I had season tickets for the Lando
Magic and I went to every single game, so I
know every player from every team.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
You know.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
But that's how that's how far removed I am from it.
You said the trail Bladers, and I thought, quite Dreckler,
who was a badass man.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Way I played for the trail Bladers in ninety five.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
He was a badass though.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Man, we had you see a football man put up
a great fight on Friday. At halftime they were leading
versus Houston. They ended up dropping that game thirty to
twenty seven. Next game is going to be Saturday, November
the fifteenth, versus number eight Texas Tech. That's gonna be
a tough one.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I gotta say team in the division right now.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
All right, we'll start with NFL Action. We did Broncos
and Raiders, Broncos and Raiders Thursday Night game when it
was the worst game, the worst Thursday night, Thursday Night
game of the season. Why just it was a horrible game. Broncos. Yeah,
just a poor player. Ten Yeah, Broncos win ten to seven.
Then we had an early game on Sunday, Colts and
(04:15):
Falcons in Germany. Colts win thirty one to twenty five
in overtime. Was that a sellout in Germany? Like everything
it was?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
The NFL goes to one of those cities, it always
sells out, right, Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
We had Jets and Browns. Jets victorious twenty seven to twenty.
The Jets won, yep, over the Browns. The hell Saints
beat the Panthers seventeen to seven, which is bizarre because
the Panthers just last week who'd y'all beat? Which was
a stunner Cowboys. Now they beat the Packers. Panthers beat
(04:50):
the Packers last week November twenty second, sixteen to thirteen,
and then they loose to the Saints seventeen to seven.
Willy Nilly league.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
It's a rigged league. And the baseball thing that just
happened makes me feel like, yeah, people are let me
get there right, all right?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Patriots and Buccaneers. The Patriots beat the Buccaneers twenty eight
to twenty three.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Team in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Baby, I gotta say, Patriots are looking for real. I
would flip it. I did that thing where you can
do half the TV has one game, has the other game.
So I was watching the Bucks game while I was
watching the Dolphins game, and I was so I was
so surprised that the Patriots looks so good. I mean,
I mean, you know a lot too. Tampa has looked
very very well, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
But Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently sitting at six and three.
New England Patriots are eight and two.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Well, yeah, and people are talking so much. Asked before that.
All the Patriots have an easy schedule. They haven't played
anybody yet wait till they get to Tampa. Blah blah blah.
And no, I've said this that Drake May is the
next time, Brady. I've been saying that the entire time.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
So the Patriots are in the Dolphins division division. Yeah,
because right now in division we're two and two.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
We had the Ravens beat the Vikings twenty seven to nineteen,
and then that more another divisional game, we had the
Dolphins take on the Bills and the Dolphins win thirty
to thirteen.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
What the hell? And angel I was telling Ryan to
the race. My buddy Julio was going down to the game.
Jesse the fiddle player, she's a big, you know, fan
of the of the Bills, and then a monster Mag's
big fan of the Bill. And they're all texted me,
you know, like they're all, haha, Bills are gonna kill
the Dolphins. And of course I started goofing on them
because look, I didn't expect it, but the Dolphins somehow
(06:34):
beat the Bills.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Their defense stepped up. It's first time the defense played
really really solid defense against them. Yeah, And I also
feel like that's one of those instances where maybe the
city of Miami got on the Bills.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, it was hot.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
It was hot, it was unseasonally hot. And then you know,
maybe they stayed out late on the night before.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
There were more Bills fans. Oh yeah, the Dolphins game
than there were Dolphins fans.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Like I said, there's that bar that I like following
the elbow room. Elbow room became a Bill's bar. Yeah,
they were. There's Bills fans there all week and long.
They were doing the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
I Like I said, I went into it thinking, Okay,
we're gonna lose today, but I'm gonna watch because I
want to be a good fan, you know. And it
was every time they would score, I'm like, what the
hell just happened? How was the money Dolphins winning? It's crazy?
Speaker 2 (07:20):
And so there's two things happening there, right, So, like
when the Dolphins are having a horrible season and then
Bills fans come down because no one's buying tickets and
they can get great tickets. That's on that's that's on
the fan base. But what's happening And again, I don't
understand what's happening in Tampa Bay. I had a texture
this morning and a handful of people that's almost a
new England Patriots home game. Was it really Yeah? Again,
(07:41):
the attendance by New England Patriot fans very similar to
when I went to see the Buccaneers play the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
It's it's well, they were the Patriots South for like
a couple of years.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
You know, that doesn't make that's not an excuse, though
I think it is.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
I think it's no.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I think it's no.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
When I wanted to go see Bucks games back in
the day, when Rady and Gronk and everybody's there like
I want, I went because as a Patriots fans, right, No, No,
I understand what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
What I'm saying is that Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans are
so fly by night fans, so just super casual with it. Yeah,
they don't care magic event and they'll sell their tickets
to whomever.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
I will say this though. You know, I told you
that I went to Clearwater on Saturday, the day before
you know, the Bucks were playing everything, and everywhere I
went like everything was I mean, you know, Bucks flags,
a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. There was one boat that was
all decked out with Tampa Bay Buccaneers stuff. There were
cars like I saw so many, and I thought to myself, well,
(08:43):
I've never seen so many buccaneer fans. I used to
go to Clearwater in Tampa all the time boating back
in the day. I never saw anything. When just that
day I was in Clearwater this weekend, it was a
lot of buccaneer stuff.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I think it's probably easier to do that than maybe
go to a game then, because again what indicated off
of our texting and then from the people that watched
the game, the fans from other teams are going to
Tampa and basically giving you a run for your money
as the home team in the stands, which is bizarre.
We had Bears beat the Giants twenty four to twenty
(09:18):
Texans beat the jack Giants.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
With the Giants they offer quarterback who is I like
that kid, but he's already heard.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Now, Yeah they should game. Yeah, they should really really
take their time bringing that kid back. There should be
in no hurry. Texans beat the Jaguars thirty six to twenty.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Nine, twenty six points to the fourth quarter. You know
that last last six or whatever. But yeah, let the
kicker kick.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
You must have bet on that game because I saw
on Facebook you said let the.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Kicker, that kicker kick. You got the guy who is
the record for the longest field goal and people are like, oh,
it would have been longer than that one. Yeah, I
still think he could have done it if you let
this kid try. And they went for it on fourth.
That so stupid. It made me so mad, And yeah,
I lost a hundred buck.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
I figured you lost money on it.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Get but like like I was doing, I was living
HIGHLFE that whole game because Jacksonville was ahead. It was awesome.
They were crushing it. And then the fourth quarter you
get to give up twenty six points. This rig this
league is rigged.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Did you bet on the bills?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
He convinced me otherwise, did you bet on the bills? No, Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I would have bet on the bills. You know.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Seahawks beat the Cardinals forty four to twenty two. Lions
beat the Commodore's forty four to twenty two, and say,
way back to back scores like.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
That, and I don't know, do you have the audio?
Donald Trump was there and boy the boo birds were out.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Rams beat the forty nine Ers forty two to twenty six.
Chargers whooped up on the Steelers twenty five to ten.
What happened? Like your boy Aaron Rodgers said, he needs
to play better. That's specifically the kind of game that
they brought him in to win, and he wet the bed.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Oh he blamed himself.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, one hundred percent. It was his fault. He was
not executing with the wide receivers. Yeah, so it's this
one's on him, one hundred percent on him. And then
we've got today, We've got Eagles versus the Packers, and
that's going to be eight fifteenth start. Now Ryan had
mentioned earlier, and the Feds have indicted to Cleveland Guardian
(11:20):
pitchers for alleged sports betting and money laundering scheme. Now
what these guys, this is how detailed this is. Stuff
is starting to get to Russ. They're like, you can
bet on actual pitches, right, you can bet like, you know,
his first pitch of the third, Ny, it's going to
be a fastball for a ball, or it's going to
be a fastball for a strike. And these two clowns,
(11:42):
Emmanuel Glasse and Lewis Ortiz.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Were part of the scheme, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
And there's all these guys making all kinds of money
off of their bets. Do you know how much money
these two idiots were paid a piece?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
It wasn't that much.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Was seven thousand dollars And it's going to cost them
their baseball careers and put parentsley go to jail for
sixty five years if they're able to be this stuff
is able to be proved in court. If I hope
it's approved in court, I hope they get sixty five years.
I hope they get banned from baseball the same way.
I hope the guys in the NFL that are accused
(12:17):
of this the same way. I got hope the guys
in the UFC and NBA. It's gonna be a lot
of dudes that go to jail because they don't understand
that prop betting is still gambling.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
I still think gambling now has legally infested all sports,
and the percentage of people that feel like the temptation
is gonna go up and more dumb dumbs are gonna
do this. Hey, no one's gonna know. I'll make an
extra ten grand because because legal betting is I couldn't
believe I'm watching the NFL and all the commercials for
(12:50):
all the betting and gambling and stuff. It's just it's infested.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
It's everywhere.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
So temptation is gonna go up, and dumb guys like
this are going to try to get away with it
to make it extra bug.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, and like these guys were pervasive, but they kept
doing it. But if you're just doing it as a
one off, like maybe your your buddy needs money, you know.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
But they're even catching the one offs.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
But here's what they said on the news of the
Angel the guy. The guy would like text somebody, Hey, okay,
I'm about to pitch be ready, I'm gonna pitch it.
I'm gonna make sure it's a it's a ball, and
he would tell him stupid. And so they have the
text of him telling his buddy and so you can
bet it that is just so. But that temptation to
make money for your buddy or I guess he got
a kickback and man.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Obviously not in his seven grade. That's horrible. He was smart.
Your salary is three times or four or five ten times.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
That that's the crazy part, man, that's a great and
another thing, well, it's a different subject, will tell you.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
And that's monster sports.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Well, I was gonna bring up we're gonna come to
uh the the young man that committed suicide. That was,
you know, obviously very sad from the from the Dallas Cowboys.
I was used to be if some when committed suicide,
they didn't talk about it a whole lot, right, they
didn't give him a whole lot of props, or they
didn't they do a moment of silence or whatever, like, uh,
(14:10):
it seems as if people have grown to realize, hey,
this is a mental issue, and you know what I'm saying,
Like they really still celebrated him even though it was suicide,
and normally suicide people shunned from.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, that's a cultural change here in America. And we
really did a deep dive on it on Friday to
the point where like we had one texter and come
to find out, yeah, he was he is going through
some things and he found there are even our conversation triggering.
But a lot of people also came over the top
and were like, hey, you know, we really appreciate you
guys having that conversation, and it's a good observation by you.
(14:44):
Russ And I wasn't there for in your take of
what the coverage over the weekend, Yeah, that it is.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
They propped it and they said, hey, listen, if you're
having issues, there are other guys you can talk to.
That's a long time. They came the number out, and
they didn't ignore it. They said, hey, this young man
in our.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Lifetime rush there was a there was a time where
they that wouldn't have made the news.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
It would not.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Suicide.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Let's let's for him.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
And so that that's one of the positive things about
talking about it and mental awareness and mental health and
all these things.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Just think about that kid. It is sad because the
kid had scored his first touchdown, you know, on Monday,
and then by Thursday, you know, things had just gotten
bad for him and he had, you know, he had
a mental problem and committed suicide. And normally that would
be ignored and it wouldn't be pointed out. And I
think it was good that they pointed out and they
did say, hey, listen, if you're feeling this way, here's
(15:39):
a number you can call reach out to one of
your other players. Because CTE could have had a lot
to do with that as well. Right, I didn't research it.
I don't know if he had concussions, but I would
think any football player had several concussions.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, we we we won't know until they do the autopsy.
In regards to this kids, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, all right, we'll take a little break more big
dumb fund when we come back. You're listening to the
mates in the morning. Oh thank you, Pam, one of
our a's I've known forever. She's been here for a while.
(16:16):
You got us some McDonald's. I'll be honest with you, guys,
I've never had a mcgriddle before. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Either, I have all the time.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I always go straight, you know, if I go to McDonald's,
I'm getting the uh mcmuff McMuffin. Man, I never got
to mcgriddle, but she got us mcgriddles. They're doing a
five dollars meal deal at McDonald's and you get to
the mcgriddle and you get to the hash browns. I've
never had the mcgriddle. That was really good.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Hell yeah. It's going on right now through November twenty third,
and they also have they're also wanting to focus on
the Buffalo Ranch, Buffalo Ranch snack Wrap, the Bacon Buffalo
Ranch from mccrispy, the Bacon Buffalo Ranch Deluxe mccrispy, and
the mccrispy Strips with dip cup.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
In November eighteenth. It's back, baby, mcre oh is it really? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
There is really go away.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
It comes in ghosts. You know, it's like a It's
like an old friend, you know, like you know, you're
that one friend that like you don't see that often,
but the second you see them, you're like best friends. Again.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I've missed. I've missed several seasons of those. I remember
I had one like five years ago or something, and
I remember, you know, it was good, but I never
for some reason, I'd never make myself. But the griddle,
I'm gonna give that thumbs up.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Now they're focusing on the it's five dollars sausage, egg
and cheese mcgriddles right now through uh November thirty.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Well, thank you, Pam. Appreciate that we can always use breakfast.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
That includes a small The deal right now includes a
small coffee and a hash brown.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Oh so there you go. We're easy to make us happy,
bring us breakfast.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Yeah, easily bribeable. I would be the worst athlete you
could buy and tell me right.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Right, yeah timptation. I'd be gambling left and right. That'd
be the worst. Hey, So did anybody watch Saturday Night Live?
This week because it is it. Listen, I understand because
every time we bring Saturnightlive up there, people are like,
it sucks. I mean it is. It is like hit
and miss. I do give you that. Sometimes it's good,
sometimes it's not good. But I thought one of the
(18:10):
best episodes I've seen in a long long time with
Nicki Lasier over the weekend. She is really good looking,
and I think she knows it. Ye, that's why she
had the spray tan on and she had she had
the Lake Show, and I think that was on purpose.
And she's funny as hell. Now she's getting backlash for yeah,
(18:30):
for opening monologue, and I say to that, I don't care.
Let's she made jokes about like sex trafficking, and she
made jokes about pedophilia, but they were obviously jokes. She's
a comedian. She was making jokes. She did they did
say the word. They said a word we can't say
on the radio. Uh. Starts with teas uh and ends
with teas, which I was surprised but but uh uh. Yeah.
(18:57):
You know, when you when you get a report, all
there's backlash for what is backlash mean? Some goofballs on
social media are complaining because she made a pedophile joke.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Yeah, how about you be mad at the pedophile the
actual ones, Like, like, I've never understood that when a
comedian points something out that is happening and makes a
joke about it, people get mad at the comedian. There's
a whole list of people you can be mad at,
go after them.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Well, and I don't want to give it all away
and you have to go watch it or whatever. But
the whole joke about like letting your your your eight
year old or six year old or whatever take a
shower with her, and I don't know it might be
a pedophile like she was. It was obviously she's joking,
you know, like come on, man, and I.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Think we work for like NBC for sure, that no funny.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
I mean, people really aren't being canceled. I think you know,
we've determined that, you know, like she's not gonna be
canceled for it. It's it was jokes. She'll probably be
invited back.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah, do you watch the musical guests?
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I never watched the musical guest I fast forward through
them every time, like what we watched Saturday night, lave
on Sunday morning. It's part of our our thing and
I ask for the musical guest. I watched a couple
of seconds.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
So I'll check out two seconds, We're like, what's this about?
Speaker 1 (20:05):
And then I go, no, Somber, never heard of Somber.
U wasn't my thing. Yeah, I even really like, uh
blind not Blenda Carlisle. Brandy Carlisle, that different Brandy Carlisle
and and I watched some of hers last week, but
I'm like, I'm not watching Saturday Night Live to watch
the musical guests. Yeah, I watch it for the comedy.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
But I thought was a solid episode, you know, I'd
give it. I'd give you this one an eight out
of ten.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
And they brought uh, they brought Pete Davidson back. That
was fun, which was really funny.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
And afterwards they did an interview with him and he
said if Lorne Michaels would invite him, he would he
would go back to Saturday Night Live, Uh, which screams, hey,
I'm not doing anything, you know. But but I thought
he was really funny and it was kind of cool
to see him there.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
I did like that he openly called out Lorne Michaels,
say your old and Tina Fey is ready to take
the job.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
I thought that was funny too, which.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Is which is which is good and risky? I thought
the weekend update was one of their better weekend updates
as far as the joke writing went.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Agreed, Yeah, I hate when I get news from Saturday
Night Live because I have to go and check and
see if this is accurate. But I I did not
know the opening, the opening monologue or not the monologue,
but the opening sketch, the cold open thing was about
something that happened in the White House, and I didn't
know this was real. And I guess they were doing
like some sort of a presentation about about health, cyberaceuticals, pharmaceuticals,
(21:28):
and one of the guys has got did you have
a heart attack? Did he fall out? I don't know
what passed out? And when this guy is passing out,
like the President just sits the stands and stairs and
doesn't even look his way like normally, if a little compassion,
you would be like empathy, like, oh well, my god,
you okay? Buddy's that I said, just runs like that.
(21:52):
That cannot be real. There's no way a human stood
there while a guy passes out and didn't like check.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
On him and say behavior was it even the worst
well rfk k running right out.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Of the room, run and I'm like, this can't be real.
And I went and saw it and it was real
like he just stood there like he didn't care that
the guy was passing out, and it was annoying, like
lack of empathy. That is some sort of a trait.
I don't I don't know, I don't know. I'm like,
I'm so mad that I got my news from Saturday night,
because you know, it couldn't be one hundred percent accurate,
(22:24):
but it was a funny sketch that was That was
for sure.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Sure, It's just so funny because I was wondering why
that video of Obama was circulating around, the one where
he like a lady behind him and he catches her
like he's talking about like a uh, she's a pregnant
woman and so she's just like chilling in the back
and he's like are you good? You're good, and he
like helps her and then it's just the vast difference
of these two things, right, Yes, you can see you
(22:49):
can see she's kind of wavering. I don't know how
he saw behind him like this, huh. I guess he's
like there's a little bit of a stir and he
looks back, Oh, you got up falling, Okay, we're to
help you help her, And then he makes the jokes
like I've got that effect on people, right, But yeah,
I saw the Trump when he just stands and stares
into the camera that is on, and then the press
(23:11):
secretary or some press person is like trying to stop
people from taking photos, like what other like.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
I try to explain things away or you know, like, Okay,
well maybe it happened for this reason. But if if
we're standing in a room and somebody is passing out,
all of us are gonna go, hey, but you okay,
can I help? He just stood there staring.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
I was wondering because when I saw Rfk's reaction right
where he just immediately bolts out of the room. You
are with the most powerful people in the world. I
maybe he thought there was some kind of attack happening.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
He might have ran to get medical attention. So I
can give it. I'm not I'm not weirded out about
the RFK thing. Like you I can see running again.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
You you're the head of the health department.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
You you help, But a guy standing there staring, not
even looking his way and going, hey, hey, buddy, you
are right, that's just weird. That's his lack of empathy
at all, like could care less. Uh, it was weird,
but I guess it really happened.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Yeah, that's metaphor for all you gotta do.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Because the people already texting in, right, and all the
text is just a really quick second, and you can
read the reports of other people that were there. And
he didn't do that. He didn't run to go get
medical help. He ran to another room and sat in
a chair. He really, yes, And that's it's documented and
is documented by multiple sources. So when someone text is
(24:28):
in and is like, oh, I'm so disappointed in you guys,
you guys are just getting being pathetic, Well, Sarah Nelson,
all you gotta do, baby, is go to other news
sources and they will tell you what he actually did.
This is not just our own personal opinion. It's been verified.
It's been fact checked. Yeah, I don't and that's what
he did. I was say, I don't know what he
(24:49):
was doing. I think at least he did something. At
least he moved. At least he did something.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
The guy standing there staring straight and doesn't even check
on anybody in the room. That's the one I think
is a weirdo like that. And it was weird to
just stand there and stare and not check on another human.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
That's passing up because they were taking his time. Yeah,
that's that's that's me time and this guy falls out.
What's what's he thinking of?
Speaker 1 (25:12):
It took my time away? That is the that's to me,
the travesty. Like a guy that would just stand there
and not check on a human that's passing out, That's
just this is weird. The JFK thing. I don't know
what he went to do. He went to do something.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Literally, you could multiple reports. He ran out of the shot,
sat in a chair in another room, didn't get anybody,
didn't look to get anybody, didn't do any of those things.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
I mean, I guess if you like only care about yourself,
then you wouldn't check you know, hey, man, that guy okay?
Anything like? Do you have you have the the the
video of it?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Ryan?
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Make sure I'm right, because once again I got my
news from Saturday Night Live. That's probably not uh something
to brag on. That's where I saw it. I had
not heard about this before that, and I did go
and check it, and I just saw that he just
stood there and stared. That's just Ryan's gonna find it.
We'll put it on on YouTube. I thought all the
(26:13):
sketches were great. You know what I liked about this
week as well was the fact that Nicki lacer like
when she was doing the sketches, she wasn't reading them,
like she was like acting, Okay, so here we go,
this is this is the and then the guy right
behind him passes out. I'll see here, Uh of course, doctor,
(26:35):
he passes on and then he leaves and then okay,
so he's over checking on him. There.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
There's a couple of reports saying, go get a chair
because he thought the man just needed to sit.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
But I don't know.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
It's it's bad. It's bad, like this lady's trying to stop.
Everybody get out here, all right.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Donald Trump did turn to him. He did, and that's
what I saw from there, like like from that point on.
So I didn't see that part where he did turn
a check on him.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yeah, not a good look all around. But you know again,
if I'm in that room and I just see somebody
fall down, I'm like, what just happened? More like more
along the lines are like, are we under attack? Is
there something in the air? Yeah, so I don't I
don't know if there's a right and the wrong way
to react to react like that. Not everybody, he's He's
(27:25):
literally surrounded by doctors. A lot of those guys are
actual doctors, including maybe doctor Oz. Uh. So it's not
like he was in bad hands.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
True. So if I'm president, I'm like, the doctor's got it.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Yeah, I'm looking at the three doctors you do it.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Well, let's see the clip. I saw what they showed
on Saturday Night Live. The President didn't turn around at all,
and that's not accurate. See, I should not get my
news from Saturday Night Live. That's what I'm just realizing.
I'm glad you thought that was.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
The actual video.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
I'm glad you played the whole clip so I can
see the truth. There you go. All right, we'll take
a little break, more big dumb fun when we come back.
You're listening to the Match of the morning. I needs
more help Angel with this is uh fandom protocol? Maybe
uh like the right way to act? So, as I've said,
(28:16):
I've got more friends that are Bills fans than are dolphins.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Fans.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Right, I got a bunch of friends that are that
are you know, a Buffalo bill fans, and so inevitably
all of them Jesse the fiddle player, Monster Mags, my
buddy Julio, and then Leon Mills's wife, Laurie Mills. She
was sending us a happy anniversary thing and she says, also,
congratulations on the Dolphins. They look they look great against
(28:42):
my Bills. So all my friends who are Bills fans
sent me these congratulations h notes and stuff. Am I
supposed to go? Am I supposed to be like a
jackass and like yeah, we beat you, or or like
what I what I keep doing is like we got lucky.
You know, you guys have got a better team, Like
like I feel I feel I feel bad that their
team lost because their team is really kind of better
(29:04):
than the than the Dolphins. We just kind of got lucky.
Uh So, is that is that the proper way to respond?
What's the proper way to respond if someone says, congratulations,
your Dolphins looked great.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
And you should be like, rightfully, so we stopped your ass? No,
you see you you're like taking to all these other
things that don't have anything to do on that particular day,
on that particular Sunday in this particular month in Miami.
The bills were garbage and they got there were so
much garbage that the Miami Dolphins handed them their ass.
(29:36):
And there is nothing wrong in saying that, but my
fact is factually accurate.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
All my friends were so sad that their team lost.
I didn't. I feel like like rubbing it in would
be rude.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
What do you care? That's the fun of sports, buddy.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I couldn't do it. Like Jesse was so upset that
they lost. Maggie was so upset. Uh, I don't know, from.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Picking a dumb team that's terrible.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Julio drew all the way down there and spend all
this money, and then you got to go down and
watch this, watch the Dolphins beat the hell of him.
I felt like I should be all sorry, like I
felt bad for them.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Why that's weird, You're weird. Yeah, we're never gonna be
able to talk out of it and being this.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Understand so many of times and you want us trying
to explain to you your feelings on this.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
And we're not sports RENI Yeah, that's the fun of
sports man, is you're talking ass. That's the best part.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
I feel like you'd be being rude. You talk asked
for a living, but I try not to be rude
except to you.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
It's not it's not rude, it's that's that's part of sports.
Your team shucks, my team's awesome.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Hey, something else. I learned this today sadly, but I'll
admit it. I learned this today and I only thought
this was just a song. I literally now today is
the I did mention. It's November the tenth, and on
November the tenth, it's the Marine Corps birthday, and my
dad always wanted me to mention the Marine Happy Birthday
to the Marine Corps, so I'm doing that. Also, today
(31:09):
is the fifty year anniversary of something I thought it
was just a song by Gordon Lightfoot. Did you guys
know that the wreck of the Edmunds Fifthgerald was real?
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (31:20):
I didn't know that. I know it if fifty years
ago today was this tragic shipwreck. I knew the song,
and I thought the song was made up to sound
like the Titanic or something like that. But it really
was a wreck and several lives were lost, and it
was in the Great Lakes. And today's a fifty year
anniversary of it.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Yep, get on you. It's always weird to me to
think that like the Great Lakes. You ever seen a
great lake.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
I have seen a great lake and it's like an ocean.
It's like an ocean. Yeah, I guess it was less
than fifteen minutes later after taking off, it sunk thirty
five foot wave thirty five foot waves in Lake Superior,
and it lost twenty nine people in the crew and
it was a huge ship.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Yeah, it's crazy. The Great Lakes are so weird because
you think we think lake like Florida Lake like happy.
Things go wrong with the Great Lakes are actually super
dangerous and are like heavy shipping area currents and stuff,
and then like sudden bad weather can just like.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Papa, how much bigger does the Lake Superior have to
be to be considered a sea?
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Oh? Man?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
You know what I mean? Like like we're calling it
a great lake. Like you got a ocean, you gotta sea,
you got a lake, right, That's that's all we have.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Generally, a sea sea is how large shalt water body
connected to an ocean, where a lake is a butt
but they are connected to the ocean. But are they
man made? Connected to the ocean.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Yeah. Yeah, the Lake Superior is connected to the ocean,
but it's not saltwater. So is that the differ? That's
why that's not a sea.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
I now, I don't know if they're shaltwater or not. Yeah, okay,
so they're connected via the Saint Lawrence River. Okay, so
naturally and they're all they're all connected. Fun, I don't
know why they're not seas. They're they're not quite big
enough to be a sea, though, I'm not I'm not
a geology, geologist, geographer, so I'm not a cartologist, says.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
I'm wondering how much bigger does the Lake Spier have
to be to be considered a sea? Is it just
right there? Like so close? Will this helped?
Speaker 2 (33:22):
The Great Lakes are not considered seas because they're enclosed
by land and are fresh water, unlike seas, which are
large bodies of salt water that are connected to the ocean.
Oh okay, so there's not a direct connection. It's got
the salt water to be a sea. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Well, there we go learning about seas and there's only
seven seas right oceans. No, there's like there's lots of
seas like Europe and Western Europe have a bunch. They
got the Dead Sea, they got the Red Seas, the
tail of the Seven Seas. I mean, I think they're
confusing the word interchangeably there with ocean. Oh yeah, because
(34:00):
the wait a minute, now, hold on, Well.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
They say connected the lakes, five ocean. Yeah, the Lakes
are connected to the Atlantic Ocean through Saint Lawrence Seaway,
but the flow is one way, and the Great Lakes
do not have the same salinity or density as sea water.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Yeah, there's five oceans. I think there's seven seas.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, Indian Ocean.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, there's one more like the Australian Ocean, something like that,
Rank Ocean.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Billy Oce.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Ocean. But I thought I thought it was like this,
the Sindbad and the Seven Seas. That's where I'm getting
it from.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
It's not not from a history book, I think because
it was Sinbad in the seven Seas, I thought there
were seven seas.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
It's the southern to the Southern Ocean, Okay, and the
Arctic Ocean. What Southern Ocean, I've never called it.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
That Southern Ocean. Yeah, that's down there Australia. I was
called That's what I was talking about. So there's there's
five of those. How many seas are there? Am I
right or wrong? Texting service checking in.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
The seventy seas?
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Seventy?
Speaker 3 (35:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Why why was so Simbad only sailed sevent sees.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Well that's all he knew of at that time.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Ah, man, I'm asking a lot of ocean questions today.
The seventh seas. Uh, they're count of as oceans on
this one North Atlantic, South Atlantic, North and South Pacific, Arctic,
in southern oceans. So that's what they're referring to. He
means the oceans.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Is Lake Superior the biggest lake in the world.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
No, no, no, the biggest lake in the world is
like in Russia, a Russian lake.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
We got to make like superior bigger than we got
to beat him.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
It's the biggest lake quote unquote would be the Caspian Sea.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
It's a sea.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
That's not a lake they're calling is it's it's called
the Caspian Sea, but it's a lake.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
It's so confused.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Caspian Sea is considered small ocean rather than a lake.
Lake Michigan. Man, this is there's a lot going on here, well,
get it together.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Seas we've uncovered a mystery.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Yeah, I don't know. This is this is one of
the things like and sea.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Is like five times bigger than Lake Superior.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
So the Caspian Sea must have no saltwater in it.
That's why they're calling it a.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Lake water lake boarded by Russia, Kazakhstan, Land and oz Are, Brazil,
Dan and Iran. If only freshwater lakes are considered this,
then the If it's only freshwater lakes, then it's Lake Superior.
If you take into all lakes, then it's caps and
c Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
So Lake Superior is the biggest body of water that
is fresh water. That's why I thought it heard okay, So,
and that's where the the Edmunds Fitzgerald had sank fifty
years ago today. Did they ever do it? It's not
just a song, it's a it's a damn real thing
that happened.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Did they ever do a thing to like raise that.
Didn't they send uh or didn't they something like the
submarines down there or something like to look at it?
Speaker 1 (37:02):
You know, that's a good question. I've never heard of
him trying to go down to the Edmins Fitzgerald I.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
Mean, I've never heard of that.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
I would think a lake would be it would be
hard to see dirty, too dirty, too much silt and stuff,
and you would never see anything. Yeah, all right, we'll
take a little break. When come back, it's time for
Ryan Holmes and bringing the nerdy news. You're listening to
the monsters in the morning.
