Speaker 1 (00:00):

one oh four point one. Remember, you can leave us
a message if you want on the iHeartRadio app and
on the app there's a podcast section. Now, did leave
the message? You click on the microphone leave us a
message if you want to check out the podcast. Now,
we've got the audio podcast and there's a video podcast

(00:20):
that's a part of it, and they asked us to
do that and it's on nationwide on the iHeartRadio app.
So after the show, you can go back and watch
the show if you want to. In the podcast section,
what is up? I'm Russ Rollins along with Daisy del Toro,
Ryan Holmes and now Angel's gonna bring you Monster Sports.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Whats the sports brought to you by Mark Spring Realty.
Make sure you check that out. Yeah, we're gonna start
off with the New York Knicks. Wow, and a incredible
come from behind victory. Uh, one of the first or
the first of its kind on twenty nine points.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
They take the lead in that series. And now three
to one. Game five is gonna be on Saturday eight
point thirty and they'll be playing in San Antonio, so
we'll see what kind of resiliency the young team from
San Antonio has.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
What are the chances they go back to San Antonio
and win if they win the next game. It's October. Yeah,
and of course everyone that wants to be you know,
whatever way they're gonna blame. What what's the reason they
lost that one game? You know what, everyone's easy, everyone's
gonna say it was all the disruption from having.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
D and and and the thing that saved them the
thing that we again uh saved the New York Knicks
home stance and they were able to get at least
one victory in front of the home crowd and everything
is that they had Wu Tang Clan Wu Tang playing
at that halftime and uh doing protect your neck, that's
what That's what you need when you've had that kind

(01:57):
of disruption, You need the Wu I've heard.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
There's nothing f with How was the reception? I didn't
I didn't stay up that far. Yeah, it's New York.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
They went nutsy, absolutely, yeah, going nuts for Wu Tang clan.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
A couple of things though.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Does that always in the works or was that like
a surprise that people know about that.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
They knew that because Cardi B had done the game before,
so this is like something like for the finals. What
the teams are doing is adding, you know, a little
exercise during the halftime.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
What was the name of the guy that we interviewed
from Wu Tang Clan recently? There is a Okay, I
remember were talking to somebody I can remember.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Who was Yeah, because he had the movie that was
just getting ready to come out, right yeah, yeah, so yeah,
So again, congratulations to them. They take the lead three
to one. Now a couple of funny things or interesting
takes that happened, uh during the post game. Right now,
you're gonna hear this. This is Charles Barkley. There is
a lot of background sound going on, but this is

(02:53):
Charles and again kind of confirming because he was on
another sports show yesterday Yesterday Day on Dan Patrick, and he.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Was basically daring the.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
ESPN and and the ABC to fire him because his
deal with them is so ironclad that as long as
as long as as far as I could tell there,
if they fire him or let him go for something
on the broadcast or whatever, they still have to honor
his seven year conscience or seven year contract.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
And pay him out. And he's kind of done he's
like he wants to rest up.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
He kind of basically kind of said, I'm trying to
get fired, is what he said in the interview with
Dan Patrick. This is his post game talking about the
San Antonio Spurs, talking about their twenty nine I'm blowing
the twenty nine point lead. Like I said, I'll try
to ease the audio in because it's right post game,
so there's a lot of background noise.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
But see if you can get the gist of what
he's talking about. No, great, what mean?

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Hell? No?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
What?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Okay? What did we see it?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
What do we saw mcdumba's basketball team in the history
of civilization?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
We saw they had a twenty five point league to
eh traight threes like they talk like that was some
of the most mismanaged stupid basketball.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Hey, will you votes one of nine? One leads?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
The other team has to help you to San Antonio Spurs,
help New York and when Theys to win this game
by doing some of this stupid ass stuff I've never
seen on the basketball court.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I love Jos. He makes me laugh. He tells it
like it is.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
He's not wrong.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Okay, do most people like him like I do? Or
most people don't like him because he's no.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That particular group of guys on that particular lineup, a
lot of everyone loves them. Okay, if one Emmy's uh.
That's been a mainstay for NBA broadcast. So those guys
that that group of guys, everyone uh for the most
part uh uh likes that the chemistry with.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Him And what do you think about what he said, like,
in order to come back from twenty nine points, the
other team has to help you. He's right, you know
he's right.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
If you go back and watch San Antonio Spurs again,
they went through this whole run where they're up, but
they didn't adjust in thee and this goes back to
the analytics of the game and everything, and they continue
to their.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
We did this as the magic. That's what happened to us.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, they continue shooting threes like if they had should
they should have adjusted to something else. A couple if
out of that run, they adjust and do a couple
of possessions and they kick it down to Wemby and
go and make the goat, you know, go for the
two point shot that gets energy, chemistry going and everything
and gets you some momentum so that you can go

(05:31):
back to the threes. But there's a run there where
they missed like ten straight threes and while you're so
while you're doing that, right, this is how you're helping
the Knicks are coming back and scoring on the other possession, right,
that's what he's talking about.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, And for those if you just waking up and
he didn't see it, I mean it was like last second,
somebody takes a three point shot, misses it, but.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, Jalen Bob Brunson goes for the three and again
his three. He had a fantastic look and miss it. Yeah,
and it's g Nnob who tips in the ball with
one point two seconds left.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
God, it's it's really one of the it's gonna go down.
It's probably one of the greatest, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
If you're on social media now and watching it, other
people are just because like Wemby is in that shot,
like he misses the rebound by just a little bit,
and so he's you know, like sky you know, comes
flying in. So everyone's breaking down the shot from different
angles and everything, and so it's, uh, you know, again,
if you're a Knicks fan, it's awesome to be you today.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Would you rather okay if if we're drawing this up
as a fairy tale kind of a situation, right, would
you rather see that it go back to San Antonio.
San Antonio wins two more and it becomes game seven
and they come back to New York and then win
it in New York? Is that a better story or
or win? You just wanted to get it done?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You know, I think Nick fans, you guys, let us
know real mobile seven seven zero three to one. Knicks fans,
do you want them to wrap it up in game five?
Or would you want them to come back for game
seven game? Because I think it goes one one one now?

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Oh it does? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Flame, yeah, so they got they could potentially have one
more game in New York. Would you want them to
try to win it at home? Or do you want
them to get it over with and win it on
Saturday night?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Gosh? What do you think it's better for New York City?
Obviously we win san Antonio. Yeah, people are getting out
of control in New York City, some people are, so
if if they win it in New York City, a
lot more probably vandalism and bad stuff, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I think for the most I think Knicks fans would
want him to wrap it up. But I could understand
the nostalgia and the sentiment of being able to, uh
win it in New York, win it in New York,
you know, because because you're okay, yeah, you're gonna have
that part of it and the knuckleheads that mess it up.
But for a lot of people, uh, you know, however
many years it's been what was it fifty three, fifty
two years or whatever. Yeah, And so for a lot

(07:54):
of people, I think they would be uh memorable or
signature moment being in the being in Mattis Square Garden
when they win this. You know that that would be
an iconic moment for a lot of those fans, and
I think they would cherish that. So as we were
talking earlier, the friendlies were wrapping up. Yesterday we had

(08:15):
England versus Costa Rica here in Orlando for World Cups soccer.
They were at Enter and Coast Stadium. One of the
coolest shots and again shout out to the team that
works the grounds over there at Enter and co We
had that deluge of rain like just a few hours
before their match, and it looked like the pitch was
flooded by the time the pitch started it looked beautiful,

(08:37):
the rain was gone and everything. But again it's huge
credit to them. They made it look all fantastic. England
wins beats Costa Rica three nil. So yeah, wow, So
we got today. We're going to start with the Group A.
It's the Group States today and Mexico goes up against
South Africa.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
I'm so excited by the way. Oh my gosh, I'm
watching it, like, where is the cool place to watch
it over here?

Speaker 2 (09:05):
But I will tell you, I will tell you find Uh,
I'm certain, I'm positive. Just go online and find someone
what Mexican restaurants are are out there.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
They go to Garretbaldi's in the Popkaso. They have awesome TVs.
They love soccer.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
There's a great restaurant, great vibe, great place. A place
like that is exactly what I'm saying. And I'm going, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I'm sure there's a bunch of place because.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
I'll go up there with you if you want to go.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
Oh no, for real, for real, yes, yeah, don't lie
to me.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Ryan, Look anything, I get to go to Garrett Baldi's,
I'm always there.

Speaker 7 (09:38):
Ryan will just say he's coming.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
I know, I know. They're still doing the gallons of
the spicy margarita picked me up.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
They don't do the gallons anymore. That was a COVID thing.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
I want to go back.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
Though, you'd like them, Okay, Yeah, I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Okay, you probably if you're serious about it, you're probably
gonna have to see if they take reservations.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
Maybe too busy, Yeah, it's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I mean that place is busy, because but that a
place like that is where I would recommend.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
So that's the three o'clock game, and then that's three
o'clock PM. The late game tonight is at ten o'clock
and it's gonna be South Korea versus Cheschnia and that's
at ten. Tomorrow you got Canada and BOSSI and Herschelgovina
at three, and then the late game tomorrow is going
to be USA versus Podoc White at nine o'clock. And

(10:27):
that's gonna be the first couple days of the World Cup.
And we'll see how that works out for our guys.
And that's why sports and those sports kind of sports related.
I guess I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
So this Sunday is the UFC fight on the White
House Lawn that happens that happens this Sunday, and they
they announced something else angel So the day before that,
to celebrate I guess the President's birthday or whatever, Travis
Pastrana is going to to some sort of a big
motorcycle jump on the White House lawn like over something.

(11:00):
I don't know exactly what it is. I think over
that dome. I think he's going to be jumping over it.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah, this is really uh and I know, okay, I
get the circus part of it and Travis part of it,
but it wasn't until the last couple of weeks that
people have just learned this. Dana White now owns Nitro Circus,
so that's how he got pulled into this, and there's
been a really remarkable backlash on social media because of that.

(11:27):
So that Dana so the fact that Dana White UFC
and then he owns the Nitro Circus and people are
kind of turned off about that part of it. You're right,
he's doing that. But in another uplifting note, you know great, uh,
this presidency, they're getting ready to drop a coin, a
bitcoin inn in honor of this, do another pumping down

(11:47):
so you can so you can you know, you can
participate this in this and this memorable moment at the
White House where they're doing a UFC fight and a
motorcycle jump, and get yourself a bitcoin and hopefully you
don't lose your money on it and don't get hustled
like they've on it all the others.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
It's a gold coin with Donald Trump's face on it.
If it's eleven thousand dollars on the coin, it says this,
this is. It goes on to say that this is
not really worth anything. This is It says that you
can't trail bask it for money. It's not uh, but
it's it's meant to you invest in it like any
other bitcoin. The actual coin, the actual physical thing isn't

(12:22):
worth anything. Yeah, that's what it says. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
the actual physical coin isn't worth anything. So there's so
but how many people are gonna buy that for eleven
thousand dollars?

Speaker 7 (12:30):
Our president is pretty smart.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
There's a lot of dumb ones just saying okay, there's
there's plenty of dumb ones to make him further and
further into his billions.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
I mean, are dumb people that would buy it?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Yeah, yeah, I guess what I meant. But the Travis
Persana thing. Is he jumping over the cage that they
have for UFC? Is that what he's jumping over? Maybe?
I think so? Yeah, Okay, I don't know the particulars.
It's literally like a circus on the White House lawn.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
How many people are gonna watch that on Sunday?

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I'm curious to see what the numbersol Is it free
to watch or do you have to watch it on
a platform?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Like, what's the deal? I think this one is going
to be available to you. It sounds like a news report.
It's like everyone's going to show it because it's on
the White House lawn. I don't think everyone's gonna show.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Do you guys think they got a kettle corn vendor?

Speaker 5 (13:16):
Yeah? There you go. Ryan.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I mean, like your boy needs just to pay.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
For so you want to go sell kettle corn.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
At the call it freedom corn. Put a little orange
like spice on it so it comes out orange. Yeah, yeah,
that'll be good.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Now you're thinking, big Ryan, Get that's a business mind
right there.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Now?

Speaker 7 (13:38):
He wants to go sell popcorn, not at Ambernovas event.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
I tried. I tried to rebrand my kettle cry. I
tried to get the name Americorn. But it was already
it was already taken. Yeah, I was really surprised to
learn that.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
All right, we gotta take a break. We come back.
We got to Miguel Cologne and David Jalli are here.
We'll meet with them. They're gonna come in. We'll see them.

Master of the Morning in Radio one O four point one.

We got David Jolly here. Uh, David can see it, buddy,
turn his mic on there and then uh, and then
Miguel Cologne, Miguel how you know, man, good Man, Miguel here,

(14:34):
David Jolly, they're gonna be performing tonight at the Funny Bone.
Hey check this out. Angel, So not only now, Uh,
Daisy and Ryan going to watch the game together. As
we learned in the last segment, they're gonna go to
Garbally's watch the game together. They're also all going to
be going to see David Jolly and Miguel Cologne perform
at the Funny Bone. And I just suggested, hey, Daisy,

(14:55):
you probably need someone to drive you. And then when
Ryan needs money, why don't you pay Ryan and to
be your driver? And and look she got cash money
there instead of him selling kettle corn. You know he
could he could. You could die driving Miss Daisy.

Speaker 7 (15:12):
Isn't that like isn't that like rude?

Speaker 8 (15:14):
It's a very famous Daisy. You're paying you money, you
can be rude.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
But I thought driving miss Days for only white people.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
No, no, it's a new world. Now you could be
ladies whatever.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
You got some money, you could be Miss Daisy.

Speaker 7 (15:28):
I am Daisy, but I'm a Mexican one.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
You're Miss Daisy? And rank. Now, what would you want
Ryan to wear if he's going to drive you?

Speaker 6 (15:36):
Can you wear sexy pants so I can kind of
like see what's there? Yeah, I have always been one
to like tear away or like tight like tight, like.

Speaker 7 (15:45):
That's right. I want to see what's going on down there, tell.

Speaker 9 (15:48):
Him to wear no shape with a bow tag. That's
that's always eat a blue pop. Eight hundred bucks I'm
not willing to do. I was trying to explain to
Daisy how much of colon is. She's like, oh, you,
he must have been so expensive. I was like, yeah,
there's eight hundred dollars.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Like eight hundred dollars.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
This is like no money.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Look at my nails. This was three hundred dollars.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah. I mean, you can't charge her eight hundred for driving.
I can't like it.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
It doesn't think that's a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
How much you're willing to pay Ryan to take you
to see Miguel Cologne and David Jolly today?

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Okay, I pay strippers one dollar to spread eg that's that.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
I should give you a clue.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
So I was sheep. So how much you're willing to
pay Ryan to drive you to see Miguel and David Jolly?

Speaker 7 (16:35):
I think it depends on his service.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
No, you know you could tip him out.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
I can drive you down a bumpy road. Boy.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
Yeah, I see he's getting good already. Maybe up to
one hundred now.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
N B, you can give a hundred bucks to drive
him to take you from the soccer match. That's right
to go to see the comedy show.

Speaker 10 (16:55):
He's not gonna wear he's not gonna be wearing a
share and you have on a bow tie.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
How much does that work?

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Listen?

Speaker 7 (17:03):
Twenty twenty dollars more?

Speaker 10 (17:05):
What about assless chaps?

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Is that?

Speaker 7 (17:07):
What if he shows me his ass, I'll give him
two hundred dollars. Oh Ryan's ass?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Ever?

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Right? So are you going to this soccer thing by yourself?
Or is your wife coming to?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
No, she's working. It's at three o'clock.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
Oh yeah, and is not there.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
You better have him tipping.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
I got more money paper divorce.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
The problem is that Christina is the proper one. She
keeps him from being bad boy, all.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Right, right? Right, So then you gotta have an extra
hundred bucks just to keep him quiet. This is quiet money.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
You coming home crying. Christine's like, what's wrong?

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:45):
You have to call it off to be money. I
don't want to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Oh my god. Well there you go. We solve problems.
You got money, You got a driver, you don't have
to worry about du Why you know it's good.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
I'm liking his white, tall and handsome.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
That's what can I ask for I don't know all
the time, white, tall and handsome.

Speaker 7 (18:07):
I just said about the BBC earlier, I'm scared of them.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah you should be.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
Yeah, I saw me and Russ. I'm scared of them.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Miguel, did you have a good time last Friday? I
had a.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Blast, man, I really had a really good time out there.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
And it's cool because, uh, the monsters fans, I'll be honest, man,
monsters fans are some of them, some of the most
like honest fans.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
They'll come up to me and they'll be like, hey, man,
I love this that you did. I didn't like this
that you did. And I'm like, cool, man, But.

Speaker 8 (18:39):
I appreciate that because they really mess with you. They're
not they're not fair with their fans. They're not fake.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
They care. Man. Yeah, I really appreciate that. Russ. I
was really cool, man. I'm glad you came out. And
every time I was watching everybody to see to make
sure people were talking to them and people were interacting,
and you had people talking you look like the whole.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Time I pulled right up to and it was right
in front of them.

Speaker 8 (18:58):
There's this thing and it says no parking city parking
and I pulled right up to it and I was like,
I'm with the monsters.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
In the morning, and they were like, we don't care
about door park my car. Mister mayor.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
I'm glad you mentioned that.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
Let me say it on the radio. Guys, I'm not
really running for mayor. A lot of them like when
we left, they were all like, Daisy, I would love
for you to be the mayor, and I was like,
it was a comedy show. I'm not running for mayor.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
I want you to be the mayor, Daisy. Come on, man, yeah, man,
you'd be a good mayor too. Man, things will be
all out every meeting. We want to talk about the budget,
be like, well, them things ain't budgeting.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
Clarify that. No, Orlando, man, the opening is for Orlando.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Oh opening. There's an opening now.

Speaker 6 (19:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (19:49):
The mayor has been mayor for like twenty some years.
He's finally retiring. I'm sorry, buddy there.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
I couldn't pick him out of a lineup. He's been
my mayor for like thirty years.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
You know, I met him, He's been here several times.
Nice enough, guy. I don't I don't. I think he
kind of killed Downto Downtown Orlando with the with the
bars and everything. Yeah, but other than that, I like
the guy. You know, he's nice enough.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
I just I can't believe we're gonna be voting on
the mail. I was like, we don't do that in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, we just we just it.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
It's Buddy Dyer.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
How Buddy Dyey was dead? No?

Speaker 2 (20:20):
What?

Speaker 6 (20:20):
Yeah, weren't paying attention When you go to the airport,
he always says, welcome to Orlando.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Live here. Oh dang it, Massy, where have you been
since we saw you last? Just to give it her last.
What's been going on, David, Man, We've just been grinding.
We went to a couple of places in the again. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (20:34):
We were just Cleveland, Uhlumbus, Columbus.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Ohio, Utah.

Speaker 9 (20:40):
I'm trying to just grinding, man, just having a good time.
And we were Charlotte while ago, Yeah, Sharlotte Greenville.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Oh you know, I want to ask you guys. Now,
I've been watching stuff on on YouTube and they have
that there's one whole page, one whole channel words all
these comedians and everybody given their opinion on the Kevin
Hart roast either something something like, oh my god, it's terrible,
and all its great. You know what, what's your what's
your take on that? Because it's a big, big controversial
topic or whatever. Man, comedy is comedy. If it's funny,

(21:09):
it's funny. Ain't nobody like everybody can get it if
you ask me if it's funny, it's funny, like I don't.

Speaker 9 (21:15):
I ain't really pay that much attention to it. I
laughed at it and turned it off. I don't have
like a political opinion about it, you know, right, right right,
because don't nobody who care about your political opinion?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Did you laugh or not? Bottom line?

Speaker 9 (21:26):
If you didn't laugh, and it's like, Okay, that joke's
not for me. That's not my flavor. Yeah, and go
to the next world. They taken away from comedy. Comedy
used to be freedom of speech, like if you if
you mean, if it mean that much to you and
you willing to say it and it offends people, We
need to go back to like being able to punch
people in the face.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
I like, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (21:46):
That'll be if hey, you won't say it, if it ain't,
if it ain't that funny, you're willing to know that somebody.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Just entered the mayor's race.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
You know, like they say, don't talk about it takes
that religion. And in my comedy show, I did all
of them sex comedy. Well I didn't do any comedy,
did I know?

Speaker 1 (22:09):
You having sex at a What kind of show is this?

Speaker 7 (22:12):
I don't worry about it, man. The fact is I
went into politics.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
Okay, you ask a lot.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I saw some comics were saying, oh, you know, the
roast now have gotten to be where they're they're just
a little too hard hitting. Uh too racial, Uh talking
about people dying and death and stuff, and it's you know,
it's over the line with what your.

Speaker 9 (22:35):
Man you you should hear like those uh that roast
battle that they be having at a lot of clubs.
They get real dirty like that. Ain't that was PG
that Kevin Hart? But I mean back in the days
when you look and you had like h like all
of the big the big guys from the seventies when
they did roast.

Speaker 10 (22:53):
Yeah, some of them white dudes was dropping in bombs.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
You know what I'm saying. So it's like bomb you
know what it is.

Speaker 9 (23:00):
I mean, like like that that was comedy. You can
say whatever you want. Is it funny if it won't
funny After the show, they gonna punch you in the face.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Yeah, you know what I mean?

Speaker 10 (23:09):
Like, that's that's it was comedy. Like, I don't have
an opinion on comedy.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Do what you want to do. Miguel, how about you?
Where was your take on the Kevin Hart roast?

Speaker 5 (23:16):
The same thing?

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Man?

Speaker 5 (23:17):
I mean, I totally agree. If you're like, hey, I
hate this, I don't want to watch it, that's what
you're supposed to do. Not watch watch it.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
It's not your flavor. It's fine.

Speaker 8 (23:25):
One of my favorite roast jokes ever was Jimmy Carr
roasting Pete Davidson.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
It was on the roast of Rob Low.

Speaker 8 (23:32):
The entire roast, people have been making fun of Pete
Davidson's dad, who's a firefighter who died in nine to eleven.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Right, yeah, and Jimmy Carr hops up there, he goes.

Speaker 8 (23:40):
I want to start off by saying I am disgusted
by people making jokes about Pete Davidson's father, Becaues. Pete
Davidson's father was a heroic firefighter who died in nine
to eleven. Today is not the roast of Pete Davidson's
father that happened in two thousand and one.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Joke is it's hard, Yeah, and it was just so good.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Guys, I follow his funny and hell, Jimmy goat man man. Yeah,
and you'll hear a lot of people talking about him
that much, you know. But yeah, if he came, if
he came to Orlando, he would be at uh.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Years ago, years ago I was here, but would he'd
be at.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Kid Center now? Yeah, he'll be an arena right now?
I think so. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (24:18):
But I mean, if you are fan of Jimmy Carr,
you really like comedy because he really hit you with
the words. He's so clever. Yeah, he's gonna go to
the same tone. He's not really gonna get loud or
but he.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Does it in like a nice way. Yeah, with a smile.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
He's one of the harshest, like most ruthless comics, but
he's in a suit with a smile.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
British.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Yeah, so you just taking it. That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah. So both these guys are gonna be at the
at the I almost called it the improv again. It's
the Funny Bone tonight, And it sounds like Daisy and
Ryan are gonna be there, which is awesome. We gotta
take a little bit of break. We'll come back and
want to talk to you a little bit more about
about some stuff that you guys got going on. Uh
and in that book that we got because you actually
knew all about it, which I want to talk about

(25:03):
that as well. So it's David Jolly, Miguel Cologne tonight
at the Funny Bone. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to
the mantras morning Real Radio was on Instagram texting service
checking and said, what's up, David Jolly Jones High School legend.
That's what they called you. Uh So somebody on the
texting service here.

Speaker 10 (25:21):
Yeah, nice, yeah o j High David.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yeah. You know when when I was a kid, when
I was young, our first year at Edgewater High School,
we shared the football field at from Jones. Nice.

Speaker 9 (25:32):
That was like our home field as well, which was
it Evans? It was probably Jones, because y'all not too
far from Jones.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
I think it was Jones. My mom went to Edge
with Ohil Air, yeah back in the days.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
But just like remember the Titans, like, we share no
field with them.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
That's when she went.

Speaker 10 (25:49):
She was the first class when they started integrating schools.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
She went to edge on and stuff. Yeah, I'll be
dag going by the way, Miguel Cologne, David Jolly are
going to be at the Funny Bone tonight. Uh, performing live.
How many times have you done the Funny Bone here
and so forward together? Uh?

Speaker 5 (26:05):
This is this is our first time. This is our
first time Funny Bue together.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I mean we've probably been on shows. U show was
something like that was the first time at.

Speaker 8 (26:12):
Our show with Jolly headline and this being our show
we missed the years shows together.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
This is our first time.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Very Hard headlined it, yeah, or Jolly headlined it with
me here with him.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah. Hey, so you sat down over here by by
Ryan and he had a book sitting next to him
that yeah, somebody had dropped off. Yes, I went, I
was going to my truck yesterday. Very nice lady standing
out there, and she had several books, and Angel says he,
I didn't remember that she won trivia with us, and
then we started talking to her and she shared this
story with us about about this book and and I

(26:44):
didn't realize that she was in Orlando, but yeah, the
story of the Montford Point Marines. And and Miguel you
saw it and you like automatically knew the whole story.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
Yeah, well, I mean I know a lot about the
Mumford Point Marines was the first desegregated black, uh, black
enlisted marines that were allowed the Marine Corps, which you
think about the Marine Corps now is a big history
of being just multicultural. Was the last branch of the
US military to desegregate. And when they did desegregate, instead
of bringing the Black Marines into San Diego or Paris Island,

(27:14):
which were the two Marine Corps enlisted training centers, they
opened up another facility in Montford Point, right outside campbel
Journy in North Carolina. And it had really bad conditions
and they were kind of harsh on them, and it
was kind of an experiment that was treated like it
was going to fail. And I think it was about
twenty thousand enlisted men came through Montford Point and they

(27:34):
proved themselves to be excellent marines. There were combat marines
all the way through the Pacific Campaign. And a big
part of this, you know, the Tuskegee Airmen and other
groups like that are the reasons that President I think
it was President wrong Roosevelt, Yeah, decided to go ahead
and pass out the laws to desegregate the military.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
And what I find quick let me give the name
of the author. Her name's Sharon Britain Hannock, and her
yesterday sweet as can be very nice. And with what
his odd is is that that the fact that I
would have this book sitting here today. And that is
something you and I have like in common because my father,
who was in the Marine Corps, and your father there
was in the Marine Corps, met each other at like

(28:16):
I was, the American Legion.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
No, he met passing by your dad's house.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
He saw the jeeps the vehicles that your dad had,
and he saw the flag and he pulled he pulled over.
My dad just pulled over to the Marine Corps flag
and saw your father outside, pulled over to talk.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
And then they would go to the Legion and hang
out of they became friends.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
And they became friends and and and they had no
idea that we knew each other. Yeah, and and one
day they in conversation, oh my son does this, well,
my son does this? And they became just because they
were Marines, they became friends. And it turned out it
was Miguel's dad and my dad.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
And I said, they stopped poaching my friend's.

Speaker 8 (28:46):
Dado cigarettes and drink whiskey at the batting cake.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Yeah, we very nice. I've her to drop those those books.

Speaker 7 (28:55):
Is that why you still cut your hair like that?

Speaker 8 (28:57):
No, man, it's just guys picked what ever haircut they
got the most accid in in life stays their haircut forever.

Speaker 7 (29:05):
Because like my ex.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Husband was in the Special Ops, and like he still
sees my son every once in a while, and the
first thing.

Speaker 7 (29:13):
He says is, oh, we're cutting that hair.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Room room, room room.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
It's like such a military thing. That's why you did it.

Speaker 10 (29:20):
You're just trying to make sure your son gets some tail.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
Yes it, man, he's just that's the way to get tail.
I like my long hair, so I can pull it.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
I don't know once you peg them, can you say yes?

Speaker 7 (29:30):
I peg people? Is that what you were saying?

Speaker 10 (29:33):
Why you're gonna pull their hair? How can you get
in a position to pull the hat?

Speaker 5 (29:36):
You peck a man?

Speaker 7 (29:37):
You pull their hair.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
Look at me, kack the cash. Drive me to the
show running, Drive me to the show run.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It's funny. During the break, I can hear I'm kind
of look at other stuff that I'm listening to David
Jolly talk to Daisy and I think you're trying to
figure her out, aren't you. Yes, she is. She is
your cag Now.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
Character.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
You his real name though, David Jolly.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
That doesn't sound realistic for a black man because David
is a white man's name.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
And the happy thing. So you're doing comedy. I thought
you put the Jolly because of the comedy.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
I love Mexican.

Speaker 10 (30:19):
You're great, He's great. This soccer game today.

Speaker 7 (30:24):
You better man.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
You should got you guys should go to the soccer
team with him and then go to the and they
You guys should come with that. We do need some
whippets before we go.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
I have one black son, nice and his name is
not Jolly.

Speaker 10 (30:38):
How many white sons you got?

Speaker 5 (30:41):
Zero?

Speaker 1 (30:43):
The white guy the day, the white guy, and now
she's working on one.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Wait, what if David is a white guy's name. What
is your black son's name?

Speaker 5 (31:00):
Alonzo from training days.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
Off?

Speaker 5 (31:04):
He off height, that's my son, Protect my son.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
You know it's funny. We had we had Amy the
counselor come in and talk to Dais the other day,
and then after Daisy was gone, she's like, oh, it's
so funny. Daisy was doing that character when she was
and I'm like, Daisy.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Days was doing that character. She pretends she's drunk at
seven thirty in the morning.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
She's a method actor.

Speaker 8 (31:28):
I think I make fun of Amy the therapist all
the time. Amy's cool, she comes on real last all
the time. But I'm like, Amy, I could never have
you as my therapist because I feel like Amy's a
kind of therapist. I could be like, shut up, don't
write that. She's like, I'll stop. You know, she's so nice.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
We ever coming in on Friday? Uh to do a
deep dive on Angel. That's that's Friday.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Angel.

Speaker 8 (31:47):
I did her sight show Ryan, you did her and
right after I got on stage, she does like a
diagnosis of you. And I sat down and she's like, Miguel,
I just want to say, I do think you're a
little defensive.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
I said, you calling me queer.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I listen, you know you you realize that you're one
of those guys. There's a handful of people that all
they got to do is say they want to come on,
and you come in no matter what.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
You guys made me feel so welcome. It. Guys, it's
been ten years. What ten years is it really twenty sixteen.

Speaker 8 (32:17):
In fact, yeah, shout out there, and you guys are
the honestly guy I've been on my radio show Realized
for ten years because of you guys.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
I mean that. I mean that, guys.

Speaker 8 (32:25):
If you guys don't know, that show came about because
Devin Sebowlt had an idea to bring a radio show
with comics on. But the only reason anyone gave us
a chance was because we had the monsters behind us.
And if you guys don't know, Russ came on our
second show ever. It mattered, bro, It really mattered, good man.
It's I've always appreciated.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
It well, and I appreciate you. That's why I said,
all you got to do is let me know you
want to come in and you're and you're always always welcome.
He and David, you're you're in the same boat with him.
You can want. I appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (32:56):
When he told me, like he was like, let me
hit up Rush and it was like two minutes later
he was like, Oh, we're going Friday. Yeah, I mean Thursday.
I don't Yeah, very.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Good, well, good luck tonight it's at the Funny Bone.
Are you gonna sit in the back and you're sitting
in the front day with me.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Day days you sit with me.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
Yeah, if you give me special seats, like I'll sit
wherever they tell me, like I'm a good girl.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Most of the time, you had a mustache seat for
you the whole show.

Speaker 7 (33:18):
What is a mustache show?

Speaker 5 (33:20):
We'll talk about it later. Have another shot at tequila.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
