We had tons of people come by. Thank you to
everybody who came by and got some mo merch at
the Just Call mot. A lot of people were happy
to get a pizza cutter.

Pizza cutters and people love those. Yeah, people did love.
Hopefully nobody stabbed anybody with a pizza cutter. Yeah, mostly

I had a very long day and so yeah, no,

one side is our logo. Okay, be a pizza, Bruno,
Copper Rocket and smoking donuts as well.

grand on your tattoo. But if you want to get
a tattoo of mos face, face, but the only caveat

gonna be the twelve and thirteenth at the Insian Theater
Inzana screening. The Python Hunt documentary follows amateur hunters competing

This won a Special Jury Award at the twenty twenty
five south By Southwest Film Festival, and UH director Xander

they were literally playing movies off of VHS tapes on
the big screen.

and then Brendan and I actually went and saw Invasion
USA and it was it was crazy. If you've never
seen it, I've I have seen it, and I haven't
been to the Indian on a watch bar is fantastic,
great food. The food is good.

But that Invasion USA. Part of it I think was
filmed in Florida, but it was about like communists invading Florida.

and B Tribute block party at Wall Street in downtown Orlando.

They got everyone in attendance to this event will have
a chance to win tickets to their upcoming R and

Wall Street Plaza they're throwing down there. Chris Brown, Usher

This is going down on Saturday, and it's gonna happen
at Uncle Lows. It's Uncle Low's Last Call and it's
gonna be Uncle Lo's Entertainment Hall and it's an auction
by donation. Uncle Loo's Entertainment Hall is closing with one final,
one last call. It was a really really big story
here in Central Florida. Uncle Lou a champion for local music,
a champion for upcoming bands, always provided a venue for

the bands to get a place to start in, a
place to play, and really about the local art and
music community. Well, they're having one last event for him,
Uncle Lou Cleon Williams that was arrested on May ninth,
and now he's agreed to go back. He's accepted his
deportation back to Jamaica. Who's going back? There was you know,

they did, They did all the things they could do
to try to have him stay here. There is a
GoFundMe to help him rebuild his life in Jamaica. But
this is an event that is going to include ceiling
tiles and artifacts and things from the hall, his venue.
So definitely get out there and support that again. And
it's going to be one to nine pm at Uncle

Loo's Entertainment Hall and it's auction and by donation and
then we'll wrap it up to UH again, I'm surprised
that they didn't call any of us for this.

crawl and at curry for curry Ford West on Saturday
during the thirteenth. It starts at six pm and it
winds through participating bars and businesses in curry Ford West
Main Street district. You got costumes will win if you
include the tag lines cold beer, bad outfits, great decisions
and uh it's all supporting a nonprofit for the district.

winter Park Farmers Market and for the rest of June
has moved a lot of people asking about this and

Now, all the food vendors and stuff and all the
everybody else will be there. I will not because I
booked other stuff.

in Orange Avenue in Winter Park, over by where the

get a date. But hopefully in October sometime we'll have
the Just Call Mo Comedy Jam fifth annual. Actually we're

right five years already, so I know we have a
lot of alumni. I think we were talking before. David
Jolly's been on it. Ryan Holmes has been on it,
and the cors has been on it. We've had tons
of comedians. I think they get their start at the
Just Callmo Comedy Jam and then they go on to
bigger and better thing could be.

with your with your mama? And her boyfriend issues. Anything
going on there is everything good.

So what happened was everybody's encouraging her to remember that she's.

A grandma, that she's a grandma. They don't want her
to live.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
A life and have Actually she's a grandma and a
great grandma. Yeah, like she has forty seven grandchildren. Wow,
and now she has fourteen great grandchildren.

Yeah.

So everybody's telling her like, could you like try putting
energy into that. I'm a helper, So I'm going to
take my kids for her to watch them over the
summer and teach them Spanish.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
So when you leave tomorrow to go to Mexico, you're
taking your kids with you.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Heck yeah, And you're taking your kids to your mom.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
And I'm going to encourage her by giving her, you know,
because I've never trusted her to watch my kids.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Because why do you trust her? Now?

It's not that I trust, but my kids are old
enough to call me and say, mom, come get me
so and my dad.

That's a good thing, daisy Yah. Yeah. No, my parents.

When I was growing up, I had a couple of
summers where I was dropped off and uh, whether it
was Gotolina, Puerto Rico, or to Sea Puerto Rico, and
I was left there with my grandma's and my grandparents,
or with my grandma one year and then with my
grandparents on the other side for summer. And uh, if
the if what you're wanting from them, and this isn't
going to be the tough part, right because you need

some help from the family. But if you're wanting them
to connect with Mexico, that's my point. Yeah, and you
want them to connect with the culture, then that it
can be helpful, and especially if all the family is
aware about that, because well.

Yeah, my brother my brothers are all down, like I called,
come up.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
They'll come up. They'll come and pick them up and
take them and do things and everything.

That's right because all my brothers still live in Mexico
except my sisters live here and I live here.

Do they speak Spanish.

So that's why I'm taking them because I want my
kids to learn Spanish. Remember how my daughter was like
failing Spanish and she almost didn't graduate. So I realized
I made a mistake as a parent with the two
older kids. With just my daughters, but it's too late
for them, like now they're going to have to learn
on their own. So my two younger sons, I'm like, okay,
I still have time here my thirteen year old, Like
(17:25):
I was basically thirteen when I moved to the US,
and I learned English within six months.
Speaker 6 (17:30):
Okay, it's not too late for your older ones either, though,
if you put them in a situation where it's well, yeah,
you put them My.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Daughters now, like, don't well, one of them is in
just started at UCF.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
But even at UF, even at that age, they again,
obviously when you're the youngest, when you're super youngest, the
best time to learn language. Your brain is like a sponge.
But the other the opposite end of that is that
when you put them in a situation where it's immersion
and they got to figure out how to eat, They
got to figure out how to order food, they got
to figure out how to navigate their their surroundings, forces
(18:01):
you to learn.

I'm gonna tell your family not to speak English to That's.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
What I said, because like, all my brothers speak English
except my mom. My mom speaks zero English. So that's
why I'm purposely leaving them with her. Oh wow, so
that she one has to try harder. And I told
her do not speak English.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
So how much Spanish are you.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Talking to use to Google?
Speaker 1 (18:22):
And how much Spanish have you talked to your sons.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
I'm horrible. I'm not gonna lie like I'm bad. I
only speak English at home, Okay, So it's my fault.
I already said that.

We're not running you down.

I have guilt inside, Okay, because the Mexican Mexican, because like,
out of the entire family, only my four kids speak
only English.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
So how frustrating is gonna be for your two boys
to get there and and you haven't haven't really prepared
them for I've trained them, and now they're going to
have a grandma that only speaks Spanish.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
I've trained them. I taught them how to use Google Translate.
So they both have cell phones, they both have Internet
thirteen and seven. It's the perfect And I said to them,
all right, boys, you're going to use technology only for emergencies.
The rest of the time, you have to actually listen
and try your best to learn Spanish. That's the whole
(19:25):
point of you being there.

Yeah, and as you go down.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Yeah, if you got the other family members that are
involved in your brothers are like active about Hey, come on,
lets I'm gonna grab you boys. Because the other the
flip side of that is that I've also been the
situation where you know we're gonna leave you with your
aunt and then you're stuck at aunt's house and Aunt's
like whatever, you're here.

And there's no internet.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
So if there's interaction and there's a dedicated attempt to
include them and show them the culture, that's the perfect
age for it.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Plus we we live like right where everything's happening. You
know how I describe like downtown, this need, how it
is with where I'm from. That's how it is. So
I told my kids, because I take them almost once
a year, yeah, I pretty much have taken them once
a year, And I said to them, the cool thing
there is as long as I leave you cash, like,
all you have to do is walk to downtown and shop,

like buy whatever you want.

So, okay, when when they're with your mom's, where's Daisy going.

I'm gonna be here. Remember I'm going to New Jersey.

If you're taking them to Mexico dropping them off and
then coming back, how long they're gonna spend the entire
summer in Mexico.

Well, I don't know. I only bought them tickets to there.
Oh and they have my phone number, you know what
I mean? Like if they make one phone call crying
and like, mom, I can't take this. Of course I'm
gonna bring them.

gonna they're gonna call you in two days.

by donation. Uncle Loo's Entertainment Hall is closing with one final,
one last call. It was a really really big story
here in Central Florida. Uncle Lou a champion for local music,
a champion for upcoming bands, always provided a venue for

the bands to get a place to start in, a
place to play, and really about the local art and
music community. Well, they're having one last event for him,
Uncle Lou Cleon Williams that was arrested on May ninth,
and now he's agreed to go back. He's accepted his
deportation back to Jamaica. Who's going back? There was you know,

they did, They did all the things they could do
to try to have him stay here. There is a
GoFundMe to help him rebuild his life in Jamaica. But
this is an event that is going to include ceiling
tiles and artifacts and things from the hall, his venue.

and now she has fourteen great grandchildren.

So everybody's telling her like, could you like try putting
energy into that. I'm a helper, So I'm going to
take my kids for her to watch them over the
summer and teach them Spanish.

So when you leave tomorrow to go to Mexico, you're
taking your kids with you.

Heck yeah, And you're taking your kids to your mom.

And I'm going to encourage her by giving her, you know,
because I've never trusted her to watch my kids.

Because why do you trust her? Now?

It's not that I trust, but my kids are old
enough to call me and say, mom, come get me
so and my dad.

When I was growing up, I had a couple of
summers where I was dropped off and uh, whether it
was Gotolina, Puerto Rico, or to Sea Puerto Rico, and
I was left there with my grandma's and my grandparents,
or with my grandma one year and then with my
grandparents on the other side for summer. And uh, if
the if what you're wanting from them, and this isn't
going to be the tough part, right because you need

some help from the family. But if you're wanting them
to connect with Mexico, that's my point. Yeah, and you
want them to connect with the culture, then that it
can be helpful, and especially if all the family is
aware about that, because well.

Yeah, my brother my brothers are all down, like I called,
come up.

They'll come up. They'll come and pick them up and
take them and do things and everything.

That's right because all my brothers still live in Mexico
except my sisters live here and I live here.

Do they speak Spanish.

So that's why I'm taking them because I want my
kids to learn Spanish. Remember how my daughter was like
failing Spanish and she almost didn't graduate. So I realized
I made a mistake as a parent with the two
older kids. With just my daughters, but it's too late
for them, like now they're going to have to learn
on their own. So my two younger sons, I'm like, okay,
I still have time here my thirteen year old, Like

I was basically thirteen when I moved to the US,
and I learned English within six months.
Speaker 6 (17:30):
Okay, it's not too late for your older ones either, though,
if you put them in a situation where it's well, yeah,
you put them My.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Daughters now, like, don't well, one of them is in
just started at UCF.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
But even at UF, even at that age, they again,
obviously when you're the youngest, when you're super youngest, the
best time to learn language. Your brain is like a sponge.
But the other the opposite end of that is that
when you put them in a situation where it's immersion
and they got to figure out how to eat, They
got to figure out how to order food, they got
to figure out how to navigate their their surroundings, forces

you to learn.

I'm gonna tell your family not to speak English to That's.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
What I said, because like, all my brothers speak English
except my mom. My mom speaks zero English. So that's
why I'm purposely leaving them with her. Oh wow, so
that she one has to try harder. And I told
her do not speak English.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
So how much Spanish are you.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Talking to use to Google?
Speaker 1 (18:22):
And how much Spanish have you talked to your sons.

I'm horrible. I'm not gonna lie like I'm bad. I
only speak English at home, Okay, So it's my fault.
I already said that.

We're not running you down.

I have guilt inside, Okay, because the Mexican Mexican, because like,
out of the entire family, only my four kids speak
only English.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
So how frustrating is gonna be for your two boys
to get there and and you haven't haven't really prepared
them for I've trained them, and now they're going to
have a grandma that only speaks Spanish.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
I've trained them. I taught them how to use Google Translate.
So they both have cell phones, they both have Internet
thirteen and seven. It's the perfect And I said to them,
all right, boys, you're going to use technology only for emergencies.
The rest of the time, you have to actually listen
and try your best to learn Spanish. That's the whole
(19:25):
point of you being there.

Yeah, and as you go down.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Yeah, if you got the other family members that are
involved in your brothers are like active about Hey, come on,
lets I'm gonna grab you boys. Because the other the
flip side of that is that I've also been the
situation where you know we're gonna leave you with your
aunt and then you're stuck at aunt's house and Aunt's
like whatever, you're here.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
And there's no internet.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
So if there's interaction and there's a dedicated attempt to
include them and show them the culture, that's the perfect
age for it.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Plus we we live like right where everything's happening. You
know how I describe like downtown, this need, how it
is with where I'm from. That's how it is. So
I told my kids, because I take them almost once
a year, yeah, I pretty much have taken them once
a year, And I said to them, the cool thing
there is as long as I leave you cash, like,
all you have to do is walk to downtown and shop,

like buy whatever you want.

So, okay, when when they're with your mom's, where's Daisy going.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
I'm gonna be here. Remember I'm going to New Jersey.

If you're taking them to Mexico dropping them off and
then coming back, how long they're gonna spend the entire
summer in Mexico.

Well, I don't know. I only bought them tickets to there.
Oh and they have my phone number, you know what
I mean? Like if they make one phone call crying
and like, mom, I can't take this. Of course I'm
gonna bring them.

Can't be just one phone No, it can't, because they're
gonna they're gonna call you in two days.

But yeah, they're gonna it's gonna be culture culturally different
enough that there's gonna be the things, the creature comforts,
the amenities, things that they're used to hear in states
that that aren't gonna be there, and that would be
the reason maybe that they potentially could call. So don't
let it be just one phone call.

Like you know, okay, you you're a man that as
a boy you went back to Puerto Rico. Like were
you scared? Yeah, okay, because they're scared. They're like they're
like mommy, but let me ask you, my son a knife?

Are there? Do they have any cousins that are their age.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Everybody's their age, because that's the okay.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
So that so my saving grace is that I had
my cousin Bethetho and Uh and Uh my cousin Jojo.
I not only did I learn a lot from my family,
but I also got in trouble a lot. But there's
there's a learning lesson and getting in trouble and being
mischievous with your cousins and a bonding moment. And so

it was fun with the cousins because whatever they were
trying to teach me in Spanish, I was teaching them
in English. And then I became tighter, like the relationship
with I have with the cousins that were my age,
because of those summer spending it with them, I had
a tighter bond with the family, with Puerto Rico, with
those towns. And it's through the connection I made with

my cousins.

What you guys are describing is just the story of
Harry Potter.

What do you mean.

He lives with a bunch of muggles, you know, like
he doesn't know his magic side, and then during the
year he goes and hangs out with all the magic
people and connects with that kind of his life and
it becomes lovely, and then he comes back to the
muggle town is to change.

Man. So what are you gonna do if your mom
is the one that calls listen, I can't take these kids.
Like I want to go out. I want to go
with my young boyfriend. I want to go doing my
party and that I've been doing. I don't want to
be I don't want to be a grandma.

What about I consider that rush. Remember I'm a little
bit brighter than my mom in that sense, Like I
always plan for every plan a BC, the I plan
all that stuff because like I've been divorced, I've been
through a lot, so I already have all the other plans.
So my brother Rigo, who's super awesome, super sweet, he

can take them. My brother Sotedo already said he can
take them. The only reason I'm not letting my brothers
Soteo take them, and I'm gonna tell you now, is
because he has three young daughters. And remember I was
seven when I was, you know, curious as a cat.
I don't really want my seven year old to be
curious as a cat in his house or my thirteen

year old to be curious as a cat, and that
brother and his daughters are super cute. I'm just saying,
so I have to be careful. I have to be
very careful the cousins. Yeah, they're their cousins and they're
super cute all summer, Like, okay, stop giving me a
sick ice.
