all the Monster fans that showed up at Kiddosh Saturday.
It was absolutely fantastic and great turnout at What I
realized is that I've never been to Kindyoshes and that

(01:29):
is an Orlando institution, is it?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Absolutely? That's an Orlando institution.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I've heard the name several times. I don't think i've
been either.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
And in that plaza there's been a bunch of really
uh like iconic restaurants and bars. That's the one of
the few Hooters that's left is right there in that
in that plaza, And so it was. The owner of
the place was fantastic. Everyone that turned out fantastic, a
lot of red but Monster Brubus, Red Bus Energy, thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
All for showing out.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Awesome and that we gave away a pair of World
Cup tickets for us and we have a few more
of those. Just write these down down on your calendar
just so if you want to remind yourself. Friday, June
the twelfth, it's gonna be at Elixir and then Saturday,
June the thirteenth, that's gonna be Walter's Tavern. And I'm

(02:19):
pretty certain I'm locked in for both of those. Nice
So again we're they're not cheap tickets, trusts the value
of the tickets that we gave away this past week.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And yeah for World Cup, yeah it's crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
So just keep those dates or those dates for you like,
mark them down, put them in your calendar again. Friday
June the twelfth is a Elixer is a Elixer. And
then Saturday, June the thirteenth, that's Walter's Tavern. That's what
we did, the Sinko to maywn party. That's where the
what the hell is ange listening to anniversary party is
going to be at. Okay, that spot right there in

(02:53):
the Southern Box Company that is really awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So but in the Elixir Stop, I gotta tell you, man,
the food there is amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I love Elexa. It's awesome all right up.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Firstly, so give a shout out to UCF Women's softball.
What they do They beat FSU in the regional final
over the weekends so that they go to the super
Regional now, so congratulations to them. Number and again this
was number nine seeing Florida State lost fortitude to UCF
in Tallahassee. So the ladies went up there and and

(03:23):
uh and won. So congratulations to y'all. That's a pretty
big deal.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Uh, they'll keep you know, they'll keep it moving. So
and then we've.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Got Orlando Pirates versus Tonight we got the Orlando Pirates
versus the Vegas Nighthawks.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Oh that's today in Orlando.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
That scene. I don't know what they're American dreams. They're
playing in New Jersey, I think. Okay, so this is
something I don't know all the details to thiszens.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
I just got sent this.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
I'm trying to figure out what it is, but I
guess this is probably end season tournament or something for
the IFL Cup. Okay, so I'll get more information on.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
That, guys.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I just like I said, just got that sent to
me right now.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Go Pirates, you go. And then.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Quick reminder, this Friday, the twenty second, the Orlando Storm
are gonna have their last home game versus the DC Defenders,
and that's gonna happen here at Entering Coos Stadium. They
just came off of beating Dallas on the road, Yeah,
thirty one to twenty four for their sixth straight victory
and have officially clinched their playoff spot, so they are

(04:24):
in the playoffs with that victory. So this would be
a cool like homecoming, like you know, let's have a
good time. And like I said, there are the first
five thousand people you can be able to get to
a storm, a baseball storm baseball cap. Okay, And actually,
if someone wants to go to this weekend or this
Friday's match, I got four tickets to give away at the.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
End of Monster Sports. Nice, so give me a call.
Four seven nine one four one.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
So yeah, their next game is again this Friday, the
twenty second APM and they're going up against the DC Defenders.
That will be their last home game. Orlando Pride drop
their match to the Denver Summit three to one, and
then Orlando City played to a draw versus Atlanta United
that was one to one on Saturday. And then tomorrow

(05:09):
we got a US Open Cup quarterfinal where were playing that?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Where's that gonna be a.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Damn?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
I just lost it.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
So but we got we were playing on Atlanta tomorrow
for that, So keep an eye on on that.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Let's see.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
With the NHL playoffs, RUSS, we're waiting on one side
of the bracket. Golden Knights and Avalanche are gonna start
on Wednesday, made the twentieth. Hurricanes are waist sitting there
and the Buffalo Sabers and I watched this game on Saturday,
stop the hell out of the Montreal Canadians in Montreal
eight to three, which sets up Game seven tonight at

(05:52):
seven point thirty Canadians versus the Buffalo Sabers. Let's go
Buffalo Sabers. I don't know why I'm rooting for them,
but I am. Last night NBA playoffs, we had again
just one stinker, the gross stinker of a game, and
it was Cavaliers versus Pistons, number one seed and Cavaliers
beat them one to ninety four.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I was shocked. In Detroit. I thought Detroit was gonna win.
That I thought it was. I don't know if I
thought Detroit was gonna win. I think one seed.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Yeah, I thought we would have had a better game.
And it was gross. I didn't watch the games. It
was so bad, like Detroit fans were leaving at the half.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
So now the Cabs go up against the New York
nig So your buddy, your budd's gonna be happy. It
looks like the Knicks is gonna be in the finals.
Oh so you think the next are gonna be the Cavaliers, Yes,
I do.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
And then on the other side, this is on the
other side, you're gonna have the Royal Rumble, the headweight battle,
the Hughes matchup with Thunder versus the Spurs, and that'll
be starting on that starts tonight.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Actually the game once tonight.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
It seems like Victor wells Ama, are you saying name
Victor Webb and Yama? That guy.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
See, he seems to be the standout star, right everyone's
talking about him.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Well he's okay, so he's the guy right now, he's
they want him to be the face of the league, right,
but he's like it. Yeah, but Shay Gildess what his
second m v P so, and that's the point guard
for the Oklahoma City Thunder. So Shane Gildas Shane Shake Guildess,
Alexander I've said that they do a million times. Okay,
but he's the number one guy for uh of a
stand up comic. But okay, no, you're thinking of Shane

(07:27):
kill Us. Okay, that's easy to confuse you. So, uh yeah,
so he wins his second m VP. Congratulations to him.
Uh the winner of that of that series is will
be those guys are actually also playing for the face
of the NBA of the league.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
So from what I'm gathering, that matter who wins in
the East, they don't have a chance against the West.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Are you asking me, I'm asking, Yeah, I don't think so. Yeah,
that's what I'm hearing. I pick it up for boats.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Yeah, I think the winner of the whole thing is
going to be.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
San Antonio. Okay, So I would if I had.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
To root, if you're making me pick one, I'd probably
lean more towards San Antonio, just because I do not
like Oklahoma City Thunder and the way they play and
all that. I just there's a lot of things I
don't like about them. But I but they're good, that's
the thing. That's the other part. They're actually good. So
but just to disrupt the balance of power and to
annoy Oklahoma City fans, I'm probably gonna be rooting for

(08:33):
the Spurs, you know. And then and here if if
I if I'm being genuinely honest, and just for the
chaos factor alone, and for just the upheaval and and
and uh and the ridiculousness of it, that it would
be I would. I would think it would be more
even more ridiculously fun and awesome and chaotic if the
Knicks won at all.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, I want to see the Knicks win.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yeah, but when you see it like how they match up,
it just becomes a little bit more difficult.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Hey, did you see the story about Shaquille O'Neil when
he got his master's degree from l SU?

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Shaquille I hate Charles Barkley.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah, yeah, so those haven't seen it.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
So in order to really troll on his buddy, which
is funny as lle when he got his master's degree
from LSU, which you.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Know, like you know, he doesn't need it.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
But he got it anyway because he could, just because
he could, right, I know, he promises his mom. He
promises mom, right right, so he has him changed his
middle name into Shaquille. I hate Charles Barkley O'Neill. That
way they would announce it. It's pretty funny. Now, I'm
not seen what Barkley said about it. I'm sure he
laughed his ass off. But but but man, uh, when

(09:44):
they showed him getting you know, getting his degree or whatever,
you forget how big Shaq is like in that particular
scene or in that particular, you know, news coverage or whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
He just does look like some damn giants. Well, he's
so much bigger.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
It doesn't help that they shot that they did is
of pointing up for yeah, so that obviously that adds
to him being larger than life.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
And I think everybody else in the picture must have
been five to four or somebody, you know, because he
just looks like it's a crazy giant. But you can't
you can't help but love Shaquille O'Neil, right, like he's
a lovable dude.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yeah. Yeah, there's there's stories out there though, don't be shocked.
I don't want to hear them. They're out there and
they're gaining more and more traction every day. So I
don't know if you got a chance to watch it.
Rush with the Saturday night was a huge day for Netflix. Yeah,
and it was in regards to them get jumping into
the MMA world of fights. Yeah, and they put on

(10:41):
their their production with the headliner being Ronda Rossi versus
Gina Carano, and if you blink for a second, wow,
or if you went to the kitchen to grab some
more wings and you came back.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
It was over seventeen seconds is all it was. And
she got two point.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Something million dollars and then Gina got like one point
eight million dollars.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Uh shout out to uh Platinum Mike Perry. He defeated.
They stopped that fight. It was that one got nasty
quick just because of all the cuts that the ideas took.
There's a lot of blood. So they stopped that one.
And so, uh so, yeah, Mike Perry wins Orlando. Actually
a popka guy, so congratulations to him. But yeah, so
they asked, they asked Ronda Rousey like, hey, listen, obviously

(11:26):
this was a huge success.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Obviously, you know, I mean, you didn't make it look
like it was hard at all. You know, you could
be back in the game. You're gonna get back in
the game. And She's like, nope, I'm I'm gonna be
making babies. Then she mainly is I'm ready to go
make babies.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
And this was it. I'm done. She got her two million.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
Dollars and she got the she got the closures she wanted.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
That was a huge thing. She got to go out
with the wind, and I think that was important for her.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
People are saying it was rigged. Now any fight that
ever happens. People say it's rigged. What do they mean
by that?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
People think that it was a setup, it was a
rig for money. Whatever. You know, I don't under standing.
I mean, I don't.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
I don't believe it either. I'm just I don't understand.
I don't even understand the argument.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Like, I'm not asking you, I'm throwing it out there.
How was it rigged? And it was sanctioned? It was
a sanctioned about the state of California. Back did uh
if any of any way, shape or for any of
these matches were rigged, it was the penalty for the
participants would be worse than than what they wanted money.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
It looked pretty real to me.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Yeah, I don't. I hate that argument because it's easy
for you to hide behind. It's like, oh, it was
rigged how?

Speaker 2 (12:29):
And then I guess Gina and Ronda we were very
good friends. You know, allegedly you are really good friends,
because you can see it afterwards j.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
From the you explain yourself, how was it rigged?

Speaker 1 (12:39):
They were hugging each other and.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Because I was postfight stuff, Yeah, I mean they it
was sorry, No, it was contentious on the lead up
and Ronda and uh Gina Carrono had plenty of you know,
they were they were selling the fight and and and
doing all that.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
So ah, and then they made a big deal about
this angel that guess during one of the walk else
when someone was walking out that UFC announced that the
COONa McGregor has another fight with somebody I forget who
it is, uh and and a lot of folks thought, oh, well,
they did that particularly to try to steal thunder away

(13:14):
from this fight that was happening on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
But I don't think it steals any thunder. I don't think.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
I mean, I don't think most people care which where
the fight's gonna be most people.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Here's the thing, like, and it's weird to me, like
the like people get so you know, you know, embedded
with this. Right, this is a good thing for for
you MMA fans because right now, like uh, UFC has
contracted a little bit in the last few years. It's
gotten smaller. They're not selling out events like they used to,

(13:44):
and and it's kind of like when there's only one
wrestling league around, they they kind of get to do.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
This so lazy.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yeah, So what you would want is for Netflix to
be successful, because then it's going to push the buttons
and start getting back to when u F he consistently
and constantly put.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Out good product.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
You might not have liked the matchups in this fight, Okay, cool,
And you want to come out and jump out the
window and say it was rigged.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Cool. They said it's because because Jake Paul was involved. Whatever.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Who gives an f he's a promoter. You could be
mad at him all you want and hate him all
you want. On the promoting side of what he's done,
he's done very fan he's done very well.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
And again at that at the end of the day.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
It's somebody that's challenging or competing against the UFC to
put on better matches, isn't that what we want?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I think it's also to pay the fighters more money.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Like, yeah, that's the other the MVP of people, which
is Jake Paul's they're paying people. Look at what they
paid these fighters for this match and compare them to
the last decade of matches with the UFC. Doesn't even
come close, right, And so that's monster sports hate.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
But going back to the UFC, So on July, when
I forget, when it is July fourth, or sometime in
July when they're going to do the fight on the
White House lawn kind of thing. Is that where Connor
McGregor's gonna fight or or is he doing another match
some other way? And I know a lot of people
are like, oh, Connor McGregor, he's so he's old now
or whatever. Say whatever you want he is uh uh,

(15:14):
he he brings attention, he's people love to hate him.
You know, there's I saw people saying, oh, he's a
cocaine He doesn't he can't fight anymore.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
For what you say, whatever you want.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
He is a lightning rod and people will pay attention
more if you got a lightning rod in a match.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, he's passed his time. He's gonna get smoked.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Maybe, But people, what what is the real goal? Is
the real goal to have this incredible fight or to
get people to.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Pay So you want names in there and you want
to again, So what are you what are we arguing
about you?

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Right?

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Are are we arguing about the fact that we think again,
for everyone that criticized this, uh, this match with Netflix,
I'm looking at the lineup for three twenty nine and
you could make the same arguments. Right, It's not a
whole lot of actually names after it's Connor, Max Holloway
with people you could argue make an argument that those
guys are way past their primes. And then Patty Pimblet

(16:08):
is the other I was in the White House fight.
I know this was in Vegas. Okay, okay, so kind
of McGregor is not a part of the White House,
not at all because he couldn't pass the drug screening anyway.
That's Marsters Sports. All right, very good, all right, don't
go anywhere. You're listening to the Master in the morning.
Let me give out a huge shout out to Walkee.
He won the four pack of tickets to see their

(16:29):
land the Storm this Friday. We're gonna be giving those
awake all week long. Shout out to a Handy John
and everybody else that was on hold. Uh. If we
don't give those away during trivia, I will definitely be
giving those away during Monster.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Sports this week all this week. Yes, Oh that's awesome.
All your your I think you're you're you're your things
about to go off?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
What leave my thing alone? Yeah? We gotta put your
thing back on.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Uh uh now listen, you know me, I like to
when you're younger, right, you like to go, I don't
want to see this old man do so and give
it at the old people. You know, then when you're older,
you want to go, I'm gonna root for the old
guy to do well. Uh And Angels trying to fix
this right now, so I can say whatever I want.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
But but Aaron Rodgers as hell.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Signed a twenty five million dollars deal to once again
play for the Steelers, which happens to be Angel's favorite team.
Uh And I kind of know how he feels about
Aaron Rodgers, But I like to root for the old
guy to still prove he can do it.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
But but but he but he does have a lot.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Of nouciery going on with him like that, there's a
little bit of nouciery going on with that guy.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Uh And I.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Had to look it up to re remind myself, like
why what's the controversy about Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Why is it? People don't like Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
And boy, they got it all listened here, like you
know the stuff with that, yeah, the stuff with vaccinations.
And he doesn't like Anthony Fauci and he he believes
nine nine to eleven conspiracy And then like all kinds
of stuff, And I guess he said a lot of
stuff on who's on the patent Acavy Show. See a
lot of times we don't need to know what these

(18:04):
people think. A lot of times it's better just to
keep your mouth shut and and just do your thing
and then not everybody, you know, know what what's going
on in your head. I guess he likes the it's
that psychedelic mushrooms some other sort of whyahuascar.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Awasca, Yeah, he's done that, like hyahwasca orwasca awasca, Awasca awasca.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Oh, hiahuasca is an Indian thing anyway, So so yeah,
so they they paid him twenty five million.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Okay, understand how this went down.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
They had to claim him so that he would come
and do this. Now, this might have been all part
of his Shenanigans.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Says here, the Aaron Rodgers is back for twenty five
million dollars and one of the other three quarterbacks are
going to be the odd man out. So one of
the other three quarterbacks they'll have to get rid of
because they're gonna pay Aaron.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Rodgers, who is how old down now you know, he's
forty six years old.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
So he's knocking on you're knocking open the door of
fifty Uh, and they're gonna pay God bless him.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I mean he's forty two. I'm sorry, Oh he's forty two.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Okay, So I mean, you know, for the for the NFL,
that's that's up there. And uh now, now let's be honestly.
He did a fairly good job last year for the
Pittsburgh city. You don't think so because they didn't go
to the super Bowl. Okay, that's right.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
But quarterback, and again, I'm not comparing him to anybody.
I'm caring comparing him to the standard is of what
the Steelers are.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
And so it's, uh, it's.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
You know when it you know, it's not just getting
to the playoffs, right, it's advancing in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
So you would rather see them go with one of
the young three young quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
They have one of the guys, the one of the
guys that they just picked up this draft. That kid's
a project and we're a few years away from uh
from him.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
The other kid that I like is uh, what's his name?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Steeler? I do like the root for the old guy, though,
Will Howard.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
I think Will Howard is is is strong enough, big
enough and ready to play in in in the league.
The reason that UH Aaron gets the pass again is
because they reuniting him with his former coach at Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
So some people think that there's some pixie dust still
left the magic.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, I do not. You not. You don't like the guy.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
It's it's not that I have no personal connection to him.
So I'm just talking to him as a football player.
Pittsburgh Steelers and the UH and the fan base. I
think that the fan base is ready to go on
without this guy. I don't know why. The Steeler organization
and and so many people in the in the room
or in the offices are are wanting to go one

(20:49):
more season with him.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Do you think the you know, back in the locker room,
the young guys, you know, kindably like respect him and like,
hey you listen there.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
I have to Yeah, yeah, you have You would have to.
You're not gonna again. It's four it's four qbst. They're
gonna have to get rid of one of them. And
and I think the odd man out, honestly, and it's
the guy that I like is gonna be Will Howard
and that's gonna be disappointing because uh Drew uh All,
Drew all are that's the guy that they picked up.
That's the project. And then Mason Rudolph is shown to

(21:20):
be uh, you know, a very manageable fill in. If
if if what's his name ends up going down, right,
Aaron goes down? You know, but I think I think
the Steelers are gonna be bummed out if Will Howard
goes someplace else improves that he can play in this league.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
But with you know, with when you have Aaron Rodgers,
you know they're well well on like Thanksgiving, They've got
a game on Thanksgiving because you know, but I think
has a lot to do with what we got to name.
Everybody recognizes, you know.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Come on, Russ, Thanksgiving getting doesn't need any help. It's
gonna be. It's We watched the Detroit Lions play that
game for years and years and years before nobody character
before they got good in the last few Yeah, Thanksgiving
game is fine, everyone's gonna watch. I think there are
four games that day. Now, I think you're well. And
they also do the Black Friday game, right, so I

(22:12):
think there's there's four games the whole weekend I think
there's the Black Friday game and then three on on
Thanksgiving game, or maybe they've hadded a fourth.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
I didn't. I thought I saw that.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
You were right, because you know it's a it's NFL
and people will sit and watch on it, probably on
several different platforms that you'll be able to watch it.
But I didn't see that the Pittsburgh Steelers are one
of the games that will be will be on in Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
But yeah, I was sort of surprised. And they paid.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
They paid Aaron Rodgers twenty five million to come back
for one more season.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
He's forty two years old. But he didn't you know,
he wasn't horrible last year. I know, you like, if
you're a Steelers fan. They didn't take it to the
super Bowl, but they made it the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Okay, but we didn't.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
But we looked horrible. That's again, Steeler fans know this
and know what I'm talking about. All the last half
of the season, it was incredibly frustrating. There was games
that we lost that we were perfectly capable of winning
and we did not execute. And we did not execute.
There was a couple of games that he lost, we
lost because of him. So so I'm ready to move

(23:17):
on off him. I am ready to. We've got a
great receiver corps. We've signed some guys for the offensive line,
a good nucleus of guys. Uh, I'm ready to. Let's
give these other guys, Will Howard's won h Mason Rudolph,
the other the other kids a project, definitely a project.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
So what's the oldest quarterback to be successful? Didn't make
it to the Super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Do you know what was it? I think it was Brady?
Wasn't it was Tom Brady? I think? So, okay, that'll
be hard to beat. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, And there's no one can make it a comparison
that this guy's as good as Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yeah, he do.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
You know he's coming it's a tough injury that he's
coming back off of, you know. And he wasn't he
wasn't one hundred percent all season long, right, you know.
So I don't know. I'm just like I said, it
just seems like we're gonna get Like do you if
you believe in one year that uh, that Aaron Rodgers
is gonna be better, that's not good. That doesn't happen

(24:13):
with guys that age. I thought for sure, last year
was a last year, was it? You know, a lot
of us did because of his age, you know, yeah,
but they signed him for another year. It's another twenty
five million dollars. Man, you say that fast. It didn't
sound like much. But that's a lot that's has a
lot of money. That's a lot of pressure if you're
in I don't think he sees it that way. Yeah, No,

(24:35):
I like he's getting twenty five million, he's gonna play quarterback.
He's gonna he's reunited with Mike McCarthy. Uh, there's gonna
be you know. I don't see him thinking of it
in that regard. It just doesn't. It doesn't seem like
his m O. And when does When do they get
back out on you know they're in they're in training
camp right now right now.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Yeah. QB's and qbs and receivers are in camp U
as we speak.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Damn, that's go. Yeah, we'll see. I'm again. I will
always be optimistic. I will always and once the season starts,
you know, I will root for my team. I will
root for the guy and I hope that we win.
But right now, in the off season and you're asking me,
there's other guys that I wish we would give a
shot to.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
You know.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Uh, there's a like I'm ready for this next era
of Steeler football with a different QB.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
You know.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
And then someone mentioned the other day said something about
the Jacksonville Jags playing here in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
That's not this season, that's the season next season.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Yeah, because they're still there, they're gonna get ready to
start doing a bunch of projects around the Camping World
and in around the area to clean it up to
you know, spruce it up and everything. There's they've got
stuff to do inside Camping World that they still have
to do.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
You know.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
So the last time we were in Camping World, you know,
for the Monster Jam, and actually they have done some
work to it.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
It looks it's looking it's looking better, Yeah for sure.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, but there's still you know, there's still things they
need that I need to type, like communications inside the
of the Camping World, the better sound system, Yeah, that
kind of stuff for the NFL.

Speaker 2 (26:03):

You know, it is uncensored, so it should be a
lot of fun. Angel, You have a lot I would

(27:49):
assume you have a lot of experience with this. I
have only been to one that I can remember, and
that's an air show. And did you see over the
weekend there was a Yeah, US Navy jets at an
air show in Idaho.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Did you see the video footage of it?

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (28:06):
I did. That's crazy. And the two planes, you know,
run into each other.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Now, four people you know eject and a parachute out
and they all live.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
They all live.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
But these two jets crash into each other. How much
do you think if you had to guess a jet
one of the there was two of them each cost
how much forty million dollars that'd be nice?

Speaker 3 (28:30):
So then one point to one and thirty four million
dollars each, one hundred and thirty four million dollars each.
And so here's Mike, like, you make a mistake like that,
and you, I mean, you know ruin two perfectly good jets?

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Is there is it?

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Is?

Speaker 2 (28:51):
I don't know, a mark against their Do they lose
rank or something like? What happens to the pilots that
make this mistake for an air show which is basically
just for entertainment for people.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Sort of doesn't need to be doing.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Okay, Yeah, but they're not there on their own accord.
They're there because the military is doing the air show.
Uh so there's that part of it. Oh, so the
military puts on the airshow. It's not like if you're
an air Force pilot, you don't get to grab your
jet and be like, hey, I'm going over to Missouri
to do at airshow.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
They're paying me three hundred dollars television the air shift.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
No. So yeah, so that that all of that's clear.
What they're probably gonna more than likely what will happen
is that the breakdown everything that happened, the study the accident,
you see what went wrong, and if they can clear
the pilots than of any error and it was mechanical
in nature, then they're good.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Okay, So but my question is what if it was
pilot error, there was one pilot that made a mistake,
what they does he lose rank or anything?

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Does he get I wouldn't know enough to say, but
I don't think so. You know, so this is a
big mistake that's at the Mountain Home Air Show in Idaho. Yeah,
Mountain Home Air Force Base. So again that's a that's
a sanctioned kind of thing that they do.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Boy, And do you think it's difficult difficult to get
back in the jet and fly again once you've wrecked one?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Because they are again air Force aviators, So they're yeah,
they're they're not regular human beings for us. Yeah, they're
used to the pressure exactly. They're used to the pressure.
So naval aviators, air force aviators, though they're a cut
of they're.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Cut a little different.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
They shut the ship, the the air show down. I mean,
everybody go home after that, like, okay, you've seen enough.
There's there, you go, there's your there's your entertainment.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
What'll probably be reviewed. It's also the chain of command,
like what decisions were made. Let's say to let these
two pilots do this where they technically proficient to be
able to do this, where they being asked to do
something that you know, let's say with their skill set
that they're not skilled to do. I don't Again, these
are just questions that are coming to mind now. I
don't know is this are were they stationed there at

(31:05):
that air base or where? What's their home based kind
of thing? Right, you know, because like it's been years
and years and years, but they're you know, the Thunderbirds
had a plane go down in an accident. The Blue
Angels have had a plane go down an accident.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
You know, people keep texting in well, they will not
lose rank if it was not pilot error exactly.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
I know that.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
My question is what if it was pilot air What
if the pilot made a mistake.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
What are they you know? Okay, sorry man, it was
say get back in another jet.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
I would think there would be some sort of hey man,
you've really messed up. That's two one and thirty four
million dollar planes that are now.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Not Yeah, it's different though, dude, it's military. So yeah,
I mean, have you seen what the budget is for
the military.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
I've heard about it, I ain't seen it. There's nothing.
It was a drop in the bucket. This is nothing.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
Yeah, they'll get too new planes before before they realized.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Did you go to a lot of air shows all the.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Time, all the time.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Yeah, it was always like it was always fun. It
was airshow weekends were fun. It was always neat because
then like for let's say, for example, for the air base,
if they were letting, uh, this is where you would
let the community at large come on to the base,
So the procedures coming into base were a little bit different.
You would see military uh you know, MPs and stuff
like that, a bigger presence of them as people would

(32:27):
make their way to the flight lines or wherever they
were doing the demos for the airplanes. So it was
you know, and then like if when I was going
to school in Anchorage and we were That was the
first time that I was going to school off Base
Central Junior High and so they as it was a
big deal in the community. You would see the billboards,
you will see you would see it in the news.

(32:48):
You would see that, and it was kind of neat
come out to you know, Fortridgison or Elmendorf, Reft Force
Space this weekend is a big air show and and
do all that, so you would you know, it was
kind of a neat thing to see everybody like, uh
dig that.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah, it was always cool. The only air show I
ever remember.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
I think I might have gone in one a long
long time ago that I really can't remember, but I
went to one in Sanford not that long ago, and
it was pretty cool. I mean, but you're always you're
always aware of or afraid of. Okay, what if one
of these you know, crashes what like that that you know,
it's kind of like a NASCAR race. You kind of
think a crash are gonna happen, and you want to
see it, but you don't want to see anyone to
get hurt, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
I'm sure there's some people that are out there that way.
I wasn't, Yeah, because well because again you're you're brought
up in that and you realize that and you know
that those are human beings in there, right. Yeah. And
and actually I lived in a base, so I remember
in a base, and I don't think I don't think
it was air air show specific, but there was, uh
when the airplane went down. This is a Kirkland Air

(33:46):
Force Base. Then the San Dia Mountains and there were
airplanes went down in the mountains and then the what
the response was to that, Now the base goes into
a different mode. They kind of shut down and they
were trying to whether it was a rescue mission or
trying to locate or get all the pieces of the plane,
all this kind of stuff. And that was I remember
the it would be in more somber because of the era.

(34:10):
Pilots had lost their lives and so you got you know,
flags that half mass and everything, and it's it's a
bigger you know, not a bigger, but it's it's a
sense of loss for the base in general.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
So I'm literally, what is this the personality type of
a pilot you know you take all the pipet yeah,
type a personalities. Yeah, they've got to be super confident.
They got they gotta be fairly smart. Yes, yeahah y,
they gotta trust themselves. I just saw this story where,
you know, uh, John Travolta just went I think he
I think it was France or somewhere to Andy and

(34:42):
they gave him some award for something, and they showed
that he had flown himself there in a big jet,
like you know, because the guy is a pilot.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
I think he's got a He used to have a
house out in Okality.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
He still does. Yeah, I don't know that neighborhood where
they have their own. Yeah, because he has his own.
I've always thought this.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Was a real picture. I don't know, but it's there.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
He's got a really fantastic house and he could pull
his plane up to the front of his house, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
I just saw that this weekend.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Yet, and he's got like a jet like not not
you know, like a little plane. No, it's not a
lear jet. It's like a big, big old jet. Yeah,
he's got a big old jet.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
And he flew that big old jet to uh to France,
and like, man, he's got he's got to have some confidence,
you know, to be able to fly his own plane
like that.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
I don't know, I would think.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
So I'm curious about that though, Like, uh, what's in
living in that community? Like what's that workout to? Like
do you have people that work the flight deck for you?
Or how do you refuel your plane?

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (35:35):
You know, do you have people taxing you? All that
kind of stuff that you would see had a regular
He's out of the middle of nowhere though in OK. Yeah,
so probably that neighborhood is like got like eight or
ten houses. Though, oh there are other people in that
neighborhood that he's not the only one. Oh, I thought
it was just him. No, from what I can remember,
the community was built, I think it's eight or ten houses.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Now.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
I think he might have the largest jet because I
think his jet was used to be a commercial airliner, right,
you know, but uh, I like from what I understand,
you know, that's what that whole place was set up for.
There was a really weird story about the couple that
started that whole neighborhood. They were they were kind of shady,
if I remember, you know.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
I knew a girl one time that that got her
her pilot license, and she's like.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Hey, whence you come with me. We're gonna fly to
Cedar Key like okay. Uh, And I remember thinking, well,
if she can do it, I can do this. I
can learn how to do this. And we sive out
of the right because she was a woman. Well huh,
just dismissing her because he was a woman.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Could have been. I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
I just I just know I knew her, and I'm like, well,
she's you know, like and we got halfway to see
her key and we had a bunch of turbulence and
I'm like, man, I'm never doing this again.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Like I remember, you're getting you know, really really.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
Scared, and uh yeah, So I forgot the idea of
learning to fly a planes. You ever you being in
you know, an air force, Brad, did you ever think
about it? I wanted to. I've always wanted or I had
wanted to. I definitely wanted to. When I was a kid,
I thought that I was gonna one of the thought
things I thought growing up. And tell her, I was
probably until it became good and uh started playing basketball.

(37:10):
My plan was to join the military to be a pilot.
But I remember that like we had two pilots coming class,
and there I was already too tall to fly fighter planes.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Right, and you only wanted to be in a fighter.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Port because yeah, you guys were the rock star.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Uh yeah, I know man.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
And your planes aren't as expensive as you would think,
like you can buy a small plane, especially especially in Florida. Yeah,
especially in Florida. Yeah, because our buddy Milt Bill Murphy
ended up becoming a pilot and when he told me
how much he paid for the plane, and like, oh,
that's really not you know, it's like the cross of
a boat or something like that.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
So the name of the neighborhood that he lives in
is called Jumbo Jumbo Jumbo Air Jumbo Air Aviation Estates.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
That's the name of the the neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
And he's got like, he's got a couple of planes
that are on there, and one of them is like
a big old leer jet.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Yeah what is it?

Speaker 3 (38:10):
I'm trying to so I'm trying to get an overhead
shot of it to see how big, because I thought
there was a number of houses out there, like I said,
eight or ten of them.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
So these two jets they crashed at bout one hundred
and thirty four million dollars each. Do they just go, okay,
we need two more jets. Those crashed. We've got to
do some more air shows. Go grab two more jets.
Pretty much, that's it.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Yeah, they'll probably repurpose them from someplace else and then
put the order in.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
So the ones they use for air shows, do you
think that these are like, oh, we used to use
these military, but we're not.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
We're not gonna use any more. Well the season for shows.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
No, No, so they're they're military planes. They just get
for that weekend. They just gonna you know, training for
training purposes. They make them part of an air show. Yeah,
well somebody failed training.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
But it's I'm trying to explain it better. I'm not
conveying that, like there are pilots in each group or
whatever that have that skill set and they get asked
to do this. So it's somewhere somehow these guys had
been approved to do this. Yeah, you know, and they

(39:21):
were part of the four Evaders were performing an aerow
demonstration when they caliddh, they they're part of Yeah, allpha
members of the air rejected Commander Million you specific fleet
to Naval Air Force A four were stabilized condition. I'm
trying to figure ot where they were stationed from. Yeah,
all four there where they're from, Idaho three sixty six

(39:42):
Fighter Wing which is known as the Gunfighters and his
house at the base. Uh yeah, so these were so
this was probably the best of the best from their team.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
To do they do they hit the eject button themselves
or as soon as there was a problem with the plane,
the plane automatically ejects them.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
That is a good question. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
I think if you look at the angles that those
planes were in, I think the warning systems were going
off and just basing off of what you've seen in movies.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
But it goes off and they and I think that
they were ejected themselves.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Yeah, all right, we'll take a little break and we
come back inside for the nerdy news.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the March of the Morning.
