a divorce.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Lad perspective ready to hear this, And I know that
is there what she has.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
I know that we have a lot of listeners, men
and women, and I thought, well, maybe we could talk
about this because this is, you know, trending.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
All right, sence, it's trending. Let's see if this lady
knows what she's talking about.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
All right, angels, turning up the sound here in a second.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
But and Amber, you can tell us whether you think
she's she's right or not.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
All right, Amber's famously famously married.

Speaker 8 (02:45):
You want to prevent your boyfriend or husband from cheating
on you, because this.

Speaker 9 (02:49):
Is going to sting a little. These are the five
rules to live by, ladies. Five rules and five rules alone.

Speaker 8 (02:54):
I promise you it a simple Just shut up, buckle
up and listen up for a second.

Speaker 9 (02:58):
Number one, put out, give him your kitty kitty.

Speaker 8 (03:02):
Not every day, sure, but often and enough that he
feels desired.

Speaker 9 (03:08):
And it has to come from you. Do it because
you want to initiate it.

Speaker 8 (03:12):
Sometimes, surprise him, make him feel like a damn man.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Number two, they hold on to this. Stay with number one.
I would say that's dead on. I don't anyone disagree with.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Number one, not at all. Nope, she's I mean.

Speaker 10 (03:27):
And if ladies, if you're not feeling like it, you
need to go get your blood work done. Maybe you
got low tea.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
That's right, that's right, there's something wrong with you.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, So number one, I'm all on board with it.
That's good. Okay, this is this is very very good. Okay.

Speaker 9 (03:45):
Number two for him the fastest way to a man's heart.
It's not necessarily lingerie. It is home cooked food that
tastes delicious.

Speaker 8 (03:55):
If you are a grown woman saying I don't know
how to cook, I want to slap you in the face.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
That is not.

Speaker 9 (04:02):
Lazy. Learn figure it out. YouTube and Pinterest exist for
a reason.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Meal hold on that. Okay, number two. I think she's
dead on them, right. You know, to say I can't cook,
that's ridiculous. You can figure out how to cook.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
And boil some waterside.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, I'm a grown man.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I can go one hundred agree.

Speaker 10 (04:21):
It's also much healthier to cook for yourself and meal prep.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I give.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
But I also want to say, first.

Speaker 10 (04:27):
Off, those first two things she mentioned, they go both ways.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
We should continue.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Okay, let's go to number three. These are the things.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Talking about man's right now. We're just yelling at ladies.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, I like it, that's good.

Speaker 9 (04:39):
Stop number three. Clean the damn house.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (04:44):
Men live in an organized chaos, but nobody wants to
come home to a pig sty. And if you don't
live together yet, Go to his house, surprise him, clean
it up, make it smell good in all the right places.
Show him that your presence add peace, not pressure. And
if you're his wife and you stop doing this.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Number four, Yeah, what is this woman a genius?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
She seems like she can read our mind?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Is this woman a damn genius? Number three dead on
the money? Keep the house clean to this this is great.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Now, there's exceptions. We understand.

Speaker 10 (05:16):
When you have a house full of kids, the house
is not going to be spotless all the time.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Twenty four to seven.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
No, Yeah, to keep all the right spots.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Clean, definitely. I mean I'm a very clean person.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
All right. So the number one was put out, number
two was was was cook and number three is clean.

Speaker 10 (05:32):
This is human traits. If you don't do these things,
you're probably a gross human.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Okay, next number four?

Speaker 8 (05:40):
Number four, be respectful. I don't care how sexy or
successful you are. The second you start disrespecting your man,
he's halfway out the door.

Speaker 9 (05:50):
Do not embarrass him in public, Do not talk down
to him.

Speaker 8 (05:53):
Respect is oxygen to a man. Without it, you die.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
And this woman is absolutely.

Speaker 10 (06:01):
Brilliant both ways though for a man you've seen men
out in public disrespectively. I'm saying, though, this goes both ways.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
But I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, okay, I can see that. But right now we're
talking about her perspective. Okay, that was.

Speaker 8 (06:14):
Number four, number five. Give him peace. He doesn't want
to come home to constant nagging.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Hegism.

Speaker 9 (06:21):
He wants silence and softness and support.

Speaker 8 (06:25):
Stop nitpicking everything he's not doing right in your eyes.

Speaker 9 (06:28):
Start appreciating what he is doing.

Speaker 8 (06:30):
You say you want a loyal man, then be the
freaking woman worth being loyal to.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
This was written in nineteen fifty five.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
I had to take off her. He jumped. My god.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Hey, listen. Everything she said, though, is one Oh you,
Christina does all that stuff for you.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
She cuts your Tonio's brow. Yeah right, we live in
a world of mutual respect. I do a lot for her.
She does a lot for me. I would never be like,
why is the house not cleaning up?

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Like take me food? That's insane.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Like we both work, we both do a lot of demanding.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
None of her things are about demanding.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Demanding.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
She's saying, if you want to make your spouse happy,
just do these things correct, Because if you demand sex.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
I'm married off a woman, not a servant.

Speaker 6 (07:18):
The problem that people haven't with it the way that
this was presented is that it just makes it look
like it's all one sided.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yes, and that's the problem, and that's what the text thing.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Well, then what we should that was a female's point
of view. Then, as as guys, what do we If
you don't want your woman to leave you, then then
what should we do?

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Righer up more? See in the basement.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
Yeah, let's ask the three the three married men that
are in that room that are successful marriage is there,
what would you offer and to counter this woman's one
sided kind of view? What kind of good advice would
you put out to the guys that.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Are married out there? We should say everything she said
is accurate. Though if you do all that stuff for
a man, he's going to stick around.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
We cheat no matter what, dude think.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
You think you would cheat on a woman that did
all of those.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
She is gonna cheat.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I disagree with that.

Speaker 10 (08:07):
It's in a man's DNA to look and and it's
like it's it's just in their DNA to look and
stuff that you have to physically like fight those urges.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Some some men, some men can't.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
My wife does all those things. I don't have any
of this or just as you want to.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Hear your top five.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Well, yeah, so you top five guys.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Guys need to need to do this.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
And are get on the verge of getting married. What's that?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
What would be number one?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Make sure your wife doesn't cheat.

Speaker 7 (08:37):
So to make sure your wife doesn't cheat, I think
number one has to be obviously mutual respect, right, you
don't talk down to them to mean them correct.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I think that that's really important.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
I think when you make love to them and I'm
just like getting in it.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Not always.

Speaker 7 (08:50):
Sometimes you need to, you know, change it up a
little bit, be a little you know, aggressive.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Provide stability. They they like to feel stable, you know. Yeah,
provide stability.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Yeah, tell them that they're friends are crazy and you're right.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
They anything.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
Mary, we know she no, she was talking as a
buried woman. She had the ring on her fingers. She
had the three of you guys have rings on you.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
I agree with the respect one, but she makes it
sound like don't don't let your wife talk in public,
because you can make a sound that me and my wife,
our relationship is based off of mutual respect. I treat her,
I like I don't demean her, she doesn't demean me.
We don't belittle each other in front of people. We
have little jokes at each other and stuff, and I
don't treat her like a servant.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
But you know what, but the number of cases I
have where people coming to me and they're like, hey,
my wife, she tells all my family, my friends, and
I drink too much and that I'm a business baby.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I think what Amber was saying actually is is accurate.
Everything that she said. You just do that also for
your wife, you know, like like when you make love
to her, you make love to her because you want
to make love to her, and and you come on
to her.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
And then sexual we're so sketchy because the house.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Like like I clean the house for my wife. She
loves it when I clean the house. You know, you gotta.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Find the people that match you. Guys have a matching
up thing.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
But like I feel bad for people because like the
sex thing gets weird, especially the older you get. Whether
there's gonna be changes for the women, like like whether
they go paramentalpozzle menapozzle, and then guys, we gotta start
taking pills and whatnot. So I don't when people say like, oh,
like when Daisy talks, she's like, oh, I need somebody
who can get at it every day.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
I'm like, that is unrealistic.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, she's straight up, she admitted she was lying.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Yeah, like so, like the sex thing is something, but
like the problem is we're so shamed with our sex lives.
Like we're so we're so ashamed of sex, we don't
actually talk to each other and communicate. I think most
people have a real problem communicating what they like, what
they what is working.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Well.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Hey, like like when a guy like can't get going
for the.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
First time there, I think their move is to like
freak out instead of talk about The Number.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
One thing was sex okay, so but we agreed that
the sex thing goes.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
You just making it like just do it, girl, like
don't care.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Well, it's so the sex thing goes both ways, just
like Amber was saying for the guy too. Number two
was about was cooking. Okay, it's great to cook for
your wife every once in a while.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
And I love the grill most of the time. So
men like to cook the bake.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yeah, yeah, you take about the dinner more mean that
that's good to this lady.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Is a trad wife and she's doing this to like
be provocative.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
It's definitely clicky.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
It's definitely clicking, and that's what a lot of people
are triggered by. This is a total clickbaity.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, she's probably like, do you guys, you guys know
what a trad wife is?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
The trad movement.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
It's it's this whole thing on the line where like
it's it's trad is traditional traditional, Wow, their whole thing
is like, well, I want to be you know, stay
at home and take care of the kids and do that.
Like it's so it's along those lines. She's adjacent to
that line.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
That's good. What's wrong with that?

Speaker 4 (11:52):
I guess I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
I view my wife is a fully uh independent human being.
Like when we come together in a relationship, we you know,
I do stuff, she does stuff I would I personally
don't want somebody like that's coming home and they have
like the whole house clean, and they better have section
with me, whether they like it or not.

Speaker 7 (12:10):
So she said, she said, you have to want to
have sex with them, like you have to like bring
that energy.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Like not every day, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Yeah, she wouldn't say that, like you had to.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
But I think sex is a mutual, like it's a
two way street, knowing it should I don't think even
in a marriage it should be like expected.

Speaker 7 (12:27):
I do agree with you a little bit of Ryan
on the fact that people don't talk about sex because
you know, I know Russ has mentioned this before about
how I I don't tell people just to instantly get
divorced if they're having mineral problems.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Part of what I do.

Speaker 7 (12:38):
I have sex therapists that I've met and I've worked
with and my clients have worked with, and I say, hey,
maybe you should go talk to this person because it
sounds like what you really have is a desire to
do something different, and you guys can't communicate about it.
You guys fight about it, and and I think, I
think you're right. There's a culture of shame, specifically towards
women where if they feel like they need to be
desirable of a specific sexual encounter or a specific thing

(13:01):
that they don't feel like they can you know, talk about.
And for men it becomes insecurity and it creates a rift.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
And so I agree, we got to talk about these things.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Yeah, it was hard because like when me and my
wife first got together, Like she's her version of like
what like sex sexy was or initiating sex.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Was very different than mine.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Like she would throw on like some kind of like
lingerie outfit and I'm like, no, you gotta paint yourself green.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
So we've been in the middle over the long term.
So now she just wears green lingerie.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
You realize that she named five things, and you've talked
about sex most of the time.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Said though in the past that the one and the
biggest things that carouses divorce is the is the sexual
dysfunction in a relationship?

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Is that the number one thing?

Speaker 7 (13:43):
I think communication is the number one thing. But I
think you see it as a manifestation of communication issues
and sex more often than not. Yeah, because again I
can't talk to you about it, but you know, sorry, Amber,
I'm gonna use it my example. But Amber will listen
to me about what I want, and then Amber will
offer me what I want and it's like, okay, Well
then I go outside my marriage, and so I think

(14:04):
I think it's I think.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
It's a communication problem.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
The symptom of which that we see from the outside
is an extra marital affair where you should be able
to tell your spouse.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Hey, you know the thing you do with your finger.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
This one who likes to save marriages. But when you
need a divorce, he'll get you there too. I will.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Apparently t K stands for a hatch kinky.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
Don't shame, kink shame.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Have a great time, people do like that.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
At the Dolphins game.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Do you think I can war my meataglasses into the game?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah? Why not? Why couldn't you?

Speaker 2 (14:49):
I don't know. Don't let you bring on them cameras.
I do like that.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
They're pretty, they're pretty neat, especially because like you don't
have to like I always say, they don't have to
pull your phone, and like you get to be in
the moment.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Still the music things.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I got more when we come back. Don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the Mantras in the morning. Hey, thanks

(15:25):

one of four point one broadcasting live on iHeartRadio. I

Speaker 10 (15:45):

Speaker 3 (15:50):
To the bum this week.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Happy birthday, Bert, What are you doing for your birthday?

Speaker 10 (15:54):
I'm going to the Warren Zeeders country concert Friday night

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Okay, yeah, I'm excited for that.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Very good. And then at some point you got to
start practicing with angel League forms mussel burlesque.

Speaker 10 (16:07):
So I have been thinking a lot about that, keeping
me up at night a bit. So I've got like
outfit song choice, I've got some moves, but definitely going
to need to start practicing sometime in November.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Okay. Never remember, you get to keep your tips that night, so.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
You know that's right.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Guys, don't be cheap.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Remember last year Angel clear, I mean he cleaned up
last year when it came to getting tips.

Speaker 10 (16:29):
I was wrestling in Canada. That's why I missed it
last year. So I didn't know how much Angel made,
but I heard it was worth the worth the dance.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Well, everybody did. Everybody did well. You know I made
the most though he wants to let you know he
made the most, but he did, and he did very well,
and so did Angelique and and uh and days like
everybody made money so you get to keep your tips.

Speaker 10 (16:50):
I'm looking forward to It's something I've never done. It's
gonna be different for me.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
It's different, different ring. I'm stepping into different playground.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
How many tips do you think you are going to
take that night?

Speaker 10 (17:02):
I think I'll do pretty well because I have some
pretty nice fans. Yeah, but you know, I don't know
if people tip more for certain things.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Okay, well we'll say that.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Oh we're gonna find out, won't we. But you know
you you're only.

Speaker 10 (17:16):
Gonna find out if you get tickets that go on
sale Monday, and you gotta get front row tickets.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Guys, Yeah, there there are actually uh you got the
first five rows are the special rows you know. Uh,
and then general admission tickets. But yeah, it's going to
be December the fifth at the Abbey and uh, tickets

It's featuring Angelique, Amber Daisy uh bb caliber who is

(17:41):

Speaker 4 (17:48):

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Chatty said, i can't wait to see Amber Nova do
burlesque version of do the Bart Man.

Speaker 10 (17:55):
Maybe I'll come out in a giant bart costume.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Okay, so you we'll figure it out as you get
closer to it. It's only like I thinking about it,
so it's only almost like a month away, just about yeah, yeah,
because this this week will be uh well, the next
one will.

Speaker 10 (18:12):
Be November fifth, Friday, December fifth, December fifth.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, that's the event. New story out and it says
that ever since a Bad Bunny when I'm Saturday Alive
and told people, hey, you got four months to learn
Spanish for the super Bowl halftime show, more people are
learning Spanish, it says, the more people are actually trying
to learn Spanish so they can understand the lyrics at

(18:36):
at the super Bowl halftime show, which, to be honest
with you, like I thought about it a little bit
like if you ever try to watch or listen to
Elton John and then you see exactly what he's saying,
you realize you've never known what he said the whole time,
Like you don't know what the hell Elton John is
saying while he's singing.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
That's kind of a bad example, because Elton's really known
for his.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Lyrics, the guy who writes formally.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, I know, but if you ever realize, if you
ever saw exactly what he's saying, You're like, oh, I
didn't know that's what he was saying. Like like, I
never known most of the songs that that Elton John
has been singing, I didn't need to know the words.
As with my point, in order to have a good,
great performance, I think I kind of get the song.
And then when I saw what he was actually saying,

(19:23):
I'm like, oh, really, I've never known what Elton John
was saying and most of the songs these sings, but
I still like it.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
My wife's like you, She's like, she's very much. She
likes the vibe and the beat of songs, and I'm
on the other way, I really listen to what they're saying.
So my wife likes all these songs that are like
if you listen to them, they're really sad and like weird,
and she she'll have no idea until I pointed out
to her, Yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
What does that have to do with learning Spanish?

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Well, what I'm saying is is that she don't.

Speaker 10 (19:54):
You out that's what I'm saying, was saying, Elton John
is Spanish.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
No, what I'm saying is is that I can watch
I can watch Bad Bunny and not know what the
hell he's saying and still enjoy the show. Right, I
don't need to actually know what he's saying, because I
can listen to Elton John. I don't know what he's
saying either, and I still enjoy the show.

Speaker 10 (20:17):
But that's what I was trying, Bad Bunny.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
A great performance can be a great performance whether you
understand what they're saying or not exactly. It is my point.

Speaker 10 (20:25):
And if you need to know Spanish the super Bowl,
I got the two words you need to know.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Right there you go, That's all you need to know.
Many of the hits, I guess the Spanish language apps
have been going crazy. And then there are people that
are actually Ever since he said that on Saturday Live,
more people are trying to learn Spanish so they could
understand what he's saying. For the Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Elton, what are you saying?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
He's just mumbling. He just mumbling the Spanish words.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
It's like the idea of Spanish Elton John and these things.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
That part is hysterical yeah, I was watching something. It
was it was Elton John and Brandy Carlisle and because
we're watching on television on CBS, and it had the
you know, you know how you have the words the
bottom what's that called a close caption or whatever? And
I'm listening. I'm listening to him singing songs I've heard
my entire life, and I realized, I've never known what

(21:24):
the hell Elton John's saying, like like.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
That song's not about Tony Danza hugging him.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was a tiny dancer.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
It is tiny dancer, but yeah, a lot of people
know it's Tony Danza. But a lot of the lyrics
are like mumbled through, Like I never really knew what
he was saying. But I still like the songs, right
Elton one? Yeah, So so you know happened.

Speaker 6 (21:46):
People could say that again with uh, you know Eddie
vetteran Pearl Jam lyrics.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
You know, sometimes it's a lot of lyrics where you
don't really know what they're saying. It's just a great
performance and you get it. So, you know, I'm interested
to see what bad Buddy does. And it'll be halftime.
Is there really is there really going to be a
counter show with a kid rock and all the rednecks. Uh,
they're doing a big I'm gonna how that's gonna do.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Yeah, Turning Point is putting that on, but I don't
know where it's gonna air. I'm thinking networks like picking
that up is probably gonna be streaming somewhere a Sugar
Rumble or whatever.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
So it's not gonna air on a platform.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
I'm sure maybe Fox.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, but at the bare minimum, the probably stream it.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
Kind of kind of gay though, like it's you're like, oh,
I don't like your performing. I'm gonna have my own
my my own super Bowl concert with blackjacket hookers, Like
it's stupid, Like, well, no, listen.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
There are there are there's a large portion of people
that will flip over to watch that because they're gonna.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Be a NFL sues them for using the word super
Bowl because there's super litig is about all that.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Are they using the word super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
I like I know that, you like, we even said
certain commercials we got to call it the Big Game.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, yeah, you know, no, they'll probably do they'll obviously
halftime show.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
Here's the other way that people are running with right,
And this is because the NFL is branding this thing.
But they're they're like, for example, that lady that texted
into us, they're not taking the time.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
To read the story.

Speaker 6 (23:13):
So Sting is playing a show in Santa Clara, I
think it is, yeah, California, but it's two days before
the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (23:20):
And so people are latching onto that and saying, oh, look,
Sting's performing at the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
He's not.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
It's two days before the super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
Yeah, the NFL is branding helping brand that, and why
would you not because again, you're taking over all of
northern California, So why would you not brand any of
these things? Sure, but people are jumping I mean, I
mean break neck speed to go. Oh look, the NFL
has even chosen to play like listen, if you think
people want Sting at halftime.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
They do not. But the kid rock thing is going
to be at the same time as the halftime. Yeah,
that is their goal. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
Sting's not going to be there, but a bad Bunny's performance.
The police are.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Got guys Bunny. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
Man, I just it's so weird for me to like
to people to do this, Like the NFL owns the
halftime of the Super Bowl to be like, no, I'm
gonna do my own.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
It's like, what a weird, little bitchy move, I said.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
I don't look at it that way. There's gonna be
an audience for it there, I mean, why not do it?
Have you seen then? Though? Yeah? It's okay, So it's
but it's but the people that are upset will flip
over to watch.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Well, I'm not watching the Puppy Bowl. I'm doing my
own with pit Bulls.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
You got kid Rock, you got the one guy artist
or Rich from the Big and Rich.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
But again it's all remember Rich from Big and Rich,
the guy that the other guy couldn't stand so much
that he left the group.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
Again, it's all posturing, Russ, because listen, if you're that
offended and you're that upset, you're you're you're gonna stay
tuned to watch so that you can either agree of
your offense or not.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah about yeah, tink a bitch about it.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
Yeah there there, it's it's it's not going to get
anything kind of the numbers. It's all just again, it's
all posturing. It's all, look look at what we're doing
this that whatever they're they're not going to make a dent.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
It'll get it'll get more numbers than they if they
just did a concert sometime it would. It's gonna get
more because people are gonna do it as their silent
will protest, right like, I'm gonna prove that I'm not
gonna watch that over watch this, all right? So but
how do you measure that? Then? How?

Speaker 6 (25:24):
What?

Speaker 1 (25:25):
What? What's this? I don't know what platform they're on.
A platform there. It might get a million listeners or whatever.
You know, a million people might watch it, which is more.
They would never be able to draw a million people
if they just said it on any other day, you know,
So it'll it'll it'll get something. Okay, that's a win
for them, Yeah, I mean you know it won't be
anything like uh like you'll get for the halftime show.

(25:45):
And you're right, a lot of people are gonna watch
just to watch hate it, you know mad that. Hey listen,
you know I why not have uh something that represents
most of the people that are watching the NFL. Why
you're having something that represents people from around the world
that are not really NFL fans. I mean, that's gonna
be the that's gonna be the argument. But the story
is that more people are trying to learn Spanish, uh,

(26:08):
which is which is odd Like I wouldn't think that
would actually be be happening, but they said that the
Spanish language apps have been going crazy.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
I'm mad at my Spanish language app. I used to
do a lingo and I don't feel like I'm learning anything.
And then the more I look into it, it's like
that's not the way to go.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Run.

Speaker 7 (26:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
I thought like, okay, I would get like, you know.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
A thousand hours and on dual lingo, and I'd be
able to speak Spanish and just unfortunately not the case.
Like I like, people always ask me if I recommend it,
I do not. It's hard to learn a language though. Yeah,
you ever try to learn another language?

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Well, I had Spanish class way back at Edgewater High School,
but I didn't do very well. Yeah, and after that, no,
I had no interest in.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
I'm fascinated by people that can do multiple languages, like
how they think how it works. Is this one guy
I watch He's like, h he calls I forget what
his name is on there now, but he speaks Chinese.
That's his whole like gimmick. He's like it's just a
white dude that speaks like perfect Chinese. Yeah, but then
he'll go and like learn other languages like as fast
as possible.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
M hmm, I see that guy.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
That guy's absolutely intriguing. It's you know, it's fascinating to me,
is that in this in America and culturally speaking, that
it's almost you try it, you're shunned upon or you're
you're put upon if you know multiple languages. Like it's
it's never been championed for culturally speaking, for us to
learn more than one language here in America. Where in

(27:33):
other countries, whether it's France, whether it's even at a
basic level, you're encouraged to or to learn multiple languages
and learn them at a proficient rate.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
So that what is your observation, You think that people
look down on people that speak Dude, just look at
our If someone speaks multiple language, I think they're super smart.
I don't look at them at all.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Not judging anyone in these rooms, So don't take offense
to it. I'm just basing this off of what's coming
in on the touch that I think.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Most people would would say, oh man, that guy speaks French,
and uh, that's.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Not the current.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
That's not the current theme right now in our in
our country right now, if you speak a foreign there
have been people that speak foreign languages, are Spanish in particular,
that are American and been shouted down to speak English
in public.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
That's happened. And okay, okay, as far as speaking Spanish
and public, uh, you know, I get that. I do
get that. If I go into the break room and
everyone speaking Spanish, it makes me feel awkward because I
don't know what the hell everyone's saying. So that's the
whole crux of it. But they're not mad that people
speak two languages. They're just mad it in front of them.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
They're mad that they don't know a language, and it
makes them feel a particular type of way. What if
you walked into the breakroom and everybody was speaking French
would you feel the same way. What if you walked
into the breakroom and everyone was speaking Mandarin or Chinese?
Would you feel the same way?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yeah? Like, yeah, yeah, speak English? Yeah you feel that way? No,
but I would. I'm not mad at them because they
can speak the other languages.

Speaker 6 (28:55):
How does that work in your mind? You're not mad
at them that they speak multiple languages? But when they're
in there around people that speak their language there and
they're doing that, then you want them to speak English.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
What seems rude if you do it in a place
where everyone speaks.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
But they're like your example, your breakroom, so everyone in
the break room is speaking the Spanish and then when
you walk in, you want them to convert to speaking
English so that you feel better because you don't know Spanish.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Well. In the in the work the work facility where
we're at, everyone speaks English.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
So everyone in this building, on this floor speaks at
least two languages.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
And we speak We have Spanish language radio stations.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Yeah, so like they do speak Spanish. It's one of
the languages they speak here, particularly here. I don't know
the Latin. You know, we never had a president that
could speak a fluent other language since Franklin D.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Roosevelt. Really he could speak fluent French.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
After that, we get a bunch of guys that can
kind of speak Spanish. Like remember George Bush could speak Spanish. Bush, Yeah,
he could speak a little bit of Spanish. Bill Clinton
could speak a little bit of French.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Huh. You would think like a president could be a
would be able to speak you.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Know at least another language.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
A little Russian, a little French, a little you know.
But there are very few people that speak like three
or four different langs, you know. Gene Simmons speaks like
three or four different languages, which I think makes you know.
I speak of English, Hebrew and Money. Now he speaks
for several different lguages. I think he speaks German. I
think he speaks French. I think even Chinese or Japanese.

(30:31):
Change Chinese Japanese, one.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Say the other thing.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
One of the other. Let's take a little break. Hey,
Dom's here from the super Village. Where's not? And don
when we come back, don't go anywhere. You're listening to
the manch in the Morning. Welcome back to the Monsters
of the Morning. We're Radio one oh four point one

(30:57):
broadcast live on iHeart Radio. Remember, if you want to
vote for the Monster Guest Hall of Fame, you decide
who is going to be inducted next. Will it be
don Al Rollins, Will it be Billy Gardell? How about
Nick Schwartzen, TJ. Miller, Guy Tory, Teal Piper or Christy Martin?
Who will be inducted? Why are you shaking your hand Amber.

Speaker 10 (31:18):
Great options in there, guys, great options.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
You'll be amazed. I get to see the preliminaries, You'll
be amazed at how many votes people are getting. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're gonna be welcome back. I'm Russ with Angel, Amber
and Ryan and a friend of the show is here
with us. Dom. I honestly say Dom from the Super Villains,
but Angel said say Dom.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
From west I'm on today.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
That's his executive position. Russ executive Dom from Weston. And
you just had Angel there were the other night we
did us was a great time for the Vinyl night,
it was, and we want to do a couple more
of those next year.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Absolutely cannot wait.

Speaker 11 (32:00):
I love that because, you know, you got to hear
so much great different music. You know, typically when you
hear a DJ playing a bar or something like that,
they're kind of playing the same yeah, you know, same
kind of music. So last week when Angel was here,
it was great to be back there and listen to
like different, awesome, but.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
It was also cool dumb. I don't know if you
got to pick up on this. So we had Erica
Vinyl out there with the Vinyl pop up there and
there was a handful of people that were literally they
would go they would purchase their record, their vinyl from her,
and they would walk across the rooms. Hey could you
play this right? So that happened. That happened a couple
dozen times. So that was pretty absolutely.

Speaker 11 (32:32):
I cannot wait for the next one for sure. And
it's like some of my guys can bring some of
their stuff. Some of the super villains guys were.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Like, what, okay, yeah bringing that vinyl.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Those nerds got some vinyl.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
So what's going on at the West End? I know
you got something going on this weekend?

Speaker 11 (32:47):
Right, So we got a busy weekend at the West End.
This weekend, we have a grave ray of going on.
On Halloween nights, we got some DJ, some pop punk
music for the kids back in the menu. And then
on Saturday we're having after Ween. Uh j r r
Is putting it on. We've got the Haunt that's gonna
be there. We got gargamel, and we got velvet chain.

(33:07):
Really yeah, I got on the show. It's so funny
everybody says the same thing.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
I didn't know they were still around.

Speaker 11 (33:14):
They absolutely are, and they are.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
They were still crushing when we first started doing you
know the Monster, you know, band of the year and all,
like Gargamel was, you know, a huge band. This is
back in the nineties. Yeah, so they're still performing.

Speaker 11 (33:27):
They are still performing, and they're still like, Chuck is
such a great singer. The guys in the band are
really tight. You know, you can tell they actually it's
so funny to watch bands that actually practice and you
know they're clean and tight. Yeah, where it's like Super
Villains guys were like, let's practice that soundcheck and then
we'll you know, hope to fly this one in like
Land the plane.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
How many members of the band are are like original members.

Speaker 11 (33:50):
Gardamel guys, let's see, so Chuck and then Less I think,
I think it's oh and then Serve.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Yeah, so I think four wow out of the five.
How unusual is that? Yeah, it's pretty wild.

Speaker 11 (34:03):
Yeah, oh my god, he is started of the only
original Supervillains at this point.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, because for that man, they were
they were together before we were, you know what I mean.
So for that many guys to get along for that
many years, it's it's it's unusual.

Speaker 11 (34:17):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm talking about talking about.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
For Christ, Yeah, how many cast members of I had? Yeah, no,
so so every.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Time I come in, you've got a new chicken here.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Ye yeah yeah, well well God bless gargab that Angel.

Speaker 11 (34:31):
I don't know what you what you have Angel? You
have him just forever your guys are together.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, I've been lucky that way. Angel's been here about
is it fifteen years now, thirteen going on fourteen going fourteen? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Right because you were you were sp K before right
I came.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Many were going was that, Yeah, we're getting.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Old intern with the Phillips file. So yeah, yeah, a
couple of couple and then you went to what room?

Speaker 2 (34:55):
But for a while I was at room before seven months.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
So anyway, so it's Saturday, it's called after Ween.

Speaker 11 (35:03):
So we're calling yes after a w j rs after
Ween tickets throwing ten dollars and eleven cents.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (35:09):
So you can cruise over there and get your cheap tickets.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
At west End Venue dot com.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Which is a great venue by Yeah. I do like
the Weston whenever I go, like, great staff. Everybody that
works there is super cool.

Speaker 6 (35:19):
And then the other thing about it is that they
have that the joint inside there where you can order
your food, so you can get your drinks and your
food all in one location.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Hey, let's do this. Let's think about since you're the
man in charge, now, let's think of the next year.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
You hear that poll?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Yeah, we two years ago, right, we did a show
live from West End and we did it on four
to twenty. Yes, we did. It was so much fun like,
and we didn't do it this year for whatever. I
think four twenty landed on a different day or something.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
It was on the Easter this year.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Yeah, so let's let's look at maybe looking at that
next years.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Make some deals on the era.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
Yeah, we did this and I.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Found out that's the best way to make it happen.

Speaker 10 (35:58):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (35:59):
We did it, did the live broadcast, and then from
the live broadcast, we stuck around, party, stuck around. I
got to DJ for a few hours out front and everything,
and it ended up being a really cool afternoon.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
We can add some other stuff this year to make
it any more special.

Speaker 11 (36:10):
So live bands in there, and let's do it right,
Maybe we get Gargament in there so we can all
watch them together.

Speaker 10 (36:14):
Go.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Then we also there was I don't know if you remember,
there was a there was a dispensary that was involved.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Yeah, that helped.

Speaker 11 (36:22):
So we were like we were signing up, we were
signing up new patients.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
There was that, and then there was and they were
giving out samples, you know. Uh so it was Remember
I remember that we had a bunch of people show
up a party for for four to twenty. They took
off work, they came and we did a whole four
to twenty show. So let's think about that next year.

Speaker 11 (36:41):
I think the first band started at four to twenty
in the afternoon too, right, is what.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Happened for you guys. Yeah, but we started at sixth
in the morning, you know, we did, we and we
had people there at six Yeah, that's man. Yeah, a
long ass day anyway. So this Saturday, West End, it's
uh after we with our our our good friends over a.

Speaker 10 (37:00):
W j R R.

Speaker 11 (37:01):
Absolutely and you know, whenever you get some time, you
have some free time looking for something to do. Downtown
Sanford always has a ton of great events. We've got
food trucks on every second Sunday. Next month we've got
Tom and Dan's.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Festival.

Speaker 11 (37:15):
Yeah right, Well, first first the first day of Saturday,
we do the free beer Festival Tom and Dan, and
then Saturday we do Sofas and SuDS do do the
couch racing.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
I still have recliner.

Speaker 11 (37:27):
Positions available right now, so if you want to enter
a recliner into the race, which is only a two
member team, we still have plenty of spaces open for
that and you can get your your registration at Western.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
I do do that day as well.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
So the out team is back this year.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Yeah, that is correct.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Tom and Dan do like it's the beer thing the
day before and then they do the the next day.
Very cool. Well do always good to see.

Speaker 11 (37:55):
You you guys to thanks for having me and I
appreciate it. Always good to see all of you.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
Everyone about Supervillains, you go so Supervillains.

Speaker 11 (38:02):
Actually I feel terrible but I will not be here
this weekend because Supervillains will be in Saint Thomas for
the weekend performing. Oh yeah, we have a show on
Saint John on Friday and a show on Saint Thomas
on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Yes, and cool.

Speaker 11 (38:16):
As well as far as Supervillains locally, we're actually playing
the after party for the Free Beer Festival on Saturday
next month, the twenty second. So as soon as the
Tom and Dan's Free Beer Festival is over, come on
into the west End super Villains. We be playing a
free show wow at five pm as soon as the
beer festival is over.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Very nice, very good, all right, well cool, well, good
scene you man, you guys, and have a good, good
trip to Saint Thomas. We'll do all right. We'll take
a little break when we come back. A time for
the King of Deck Mark right Holmes to make his
daily proclamation. You're listening to the match of the morning.
