back on RUSS with Angel and Ryan and friendly Ray
Trendley here today. Hey, so let me tell you this
is like the third or four story I've seen this way,
and I'm gonna tell you straight up. Even though I
am admittedly and I say it all the time, I
don't really care for soccer. It doesn't interest me. I
don't really it's not my thing. Even though that's the
way I feel, I don't feel I agree with what
(01:13):
I've been seeing, and it's another story that's saying this
because because I know people who are into the World
Cup and into soccer. I know a lot of people
that are and maybe because we're here in Orlando and
we have Orlando City, maybe that's what it is. But
another story comes out and it says the World Cup
starts tomorrow and most Americans don't care. According to a
new poll, fifty four percent of Americans have no interest
(01:36):
in World Cup and could care less that it's going
to be here. It does start tomorrow. I did not
realize it started tomorrow. Where does it start?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
So?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
I know it's in Mexico, It's in Canada, and Mexico
City is the first match. The opening game in the
United States.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
The United States is in Inglewood, California, California, Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, that's this Friday night. But the whole event starts
tomorrow three pm. Mexico versus South Africa.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Okay, uh so so we h so, Ray, let me
asking you because you know, I know you're a football guy,
so you watch a lot of football and stuff.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
World Cup? Do you care one or the other? I'll
watch it for sure, I'll watch it. You know, I don't.
I don't have a lot of time to keep up
with all the sports and all the different statistics, and
you know, like even like basketball. I love watching a
basketball game. Going to basketball games a great time, but
I don't really pay attention to basketball until we get
into the playoffs in the finals. Yeah, I'm saying with
(02:35):
with MLB, you know, like and I do like the
new rules for baseball, I still can't.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
I had a couple of seasons where I was watching
you into the race, and then one season I'm like,
I'm watching every game this year. And when I did that,
I burnt myself out and we haven't gone back. I
watched too much.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Well, And part of the issue for me specifically with soccer, football,
or whatever you want to refer to it as uh,
they don't always start at the right times for my
my lifestyle. But at least for the NFL, it's like
one o'clock, yeah, or four o'clock or eight o'clock on
a Sunday on a Sunday, you can watch it, and
I can watch it. So I'm I guess I'm not
(03:14):
working Sunday this week, you know, so, uh So it
makes it a little bit easier.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
With soccer, I don't have that. I got. I agree
with what Angel said the other day is that one
of the reasons I think most of it says here
most Americans don't care about it is that we don't
have a team that really competes that Well, that's a
fair point that they're not known for. It's it's not
like even the people that know a lot about soccer.
I saw an interview the other day and they say, well,
I don't think the American team is going to do
and and these people that really know, they're not really Yeah,
(03:41):
you know if they win, if they win, win, it'd
be great, you know, like no one's given him a
chance or whatever. So that's probably one of the reasons why.
But I do know a lot of people that love soccer,
like you know, like Jack Bradshaw does and Angel and
Ryan and I know Ross Pageant and like, there are
a lot of people that I know that are really
into it. So it's hard. But but I mean, you know,
(04:03):
I don't I don't know if that's just because of
just the people I know. What do you think, Ryan,
you think you agree with this poll that most Americans
don't care about World Cup soccer?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, yeah, fully agree, And they're wrong because it's so fun,
especially when it comes to the World Cup. I know
the USA the first our first game isn't sold out
and there are really yeah, there's still tickets available on
the direct market, and then stub Hub has thousands of
unsold tickets still, which is crazy. When is the first
game in America play Friday Friday and we're at California
(04:33):
in California, Yeah, so that that says something. And I
do believe it's also the pricing because the tickets at
the lowest end are over one thousand dollars per person.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Now Angel's got a gimmick where he's going out to
the places and given away tickets for Miami Wild Cup.
So when when's your next one of those.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Friday Night, I'm gonna be out of ALUKXIR from seven
thirty to nine thirty, and then Saturday, I'll be at
Walter's Tavern from five to seven.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
So you're seeing people all the time that are into
World Cup soccer.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yeah, but they're coming specifically for that right so, and
and they're they're fans of it and and their watch parties.
So like we had UH soccer match on the television
at the Hideaway this past weekend. So there, Uh, they're
fans of the whole phenomenon. When it comes to this,
I think it's difficult for American fans to get into
it because of like, you know, unless you've been following it.
(05:27):
You know, Like if I was to tell you who's
the number one star for American soccer, rust could not
tell you Christian Pols. Right, he saved a goal with
his penis last season. Uh, I'm again that that that
single fact should have hurled him into the stratosphere of American.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Uh lore, and and and and and it hasn't.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
And he plays, he plays in Europe, he plays in
Premier League. He he is our you know right now,
and there's a couple of guys that are right there
nipping at his heels for that title.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
So unfortunate though, is this World Cup? Like actually being
in the US kind of sucks in a way because
I like it when it's like in Europe and you
have these games that are sometimes at like three.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
In the morning.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
You like that because you can go to like these
bars and places will open and you can go at
like eight am and like watch these games. It's fantastic.
But like this year, like I'll be going to Holler Back,
Holler Back in Sanford and Germany. They're they're hosting a
bunch of games. They're actually doing watch parties in their
like upstairs area for like thirty five bucks.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
You get a buffet and stuff. But Russ, this is
what you need to do.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
You need to go where around where the people that
care about soccer. It's so fun, whether they're doing the chance,
whether it's the cheers, because like I know, you think
it's a lot of nothing happens, but it's not necessarily
about just the goals every time, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
And I'm not gonna pretend like everybody's like me, because
they're not. I know, I have weird ways of looking
at the things, and I get that. For me, it
seems like I'm comparing against football, and I'm like, this
is not any I grew up playing football I watched
with so I feel like it's not football, it's not
as good. I don't care about it. So I feel
like I compare it to American football, and that that's
why I don't have an episode interest for it.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I'm with Ryan on it, though, I think if you've
ever gone to a bar with a bunch of people
reading for rooting for Team Germany, and and everybody's drinking
and eating and having a good time. I remember when
Argentina was and in a couple of years ago, I
had a bunch of Argentinian friends. I went out to
a couple of watch parties with It was a great time.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
But my buddy just yea, my buddy Ricky, So we went,
uh you know, all the guys who got together went
to go grab something. We went to go to the alehouse,
right and he didn't realize that the Argentinian Friendly was
on last night versus Islet. Yeah, it took everything to
us to stop him because he was about to leave.
He's like, I'll be right back because he doesn't live
(07:52):
far from there. He was gonna jump in his car.
Rust again. This is the level of fandom, irrational fandom.
Go home again for friendly, put his Argentina jersey on
and come back.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I believe it. It's a good time I had. I
went to the very first Orlando City game, which was
a big deal. I went to that but it ended
up being a tie, and I remember going this sucks
like so so the very first game, I got pissed
off because like a tie. There's no winner here. This sucks.
Uh And so it just I I don't know, I
just can't. It's not for me, not my thing. I mean,
(08:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
But you went to like so Orlando City, like, but
there wasn't like the full on culture yet of it
all here. I like because it's a different vibe than
that first opening game too. But I'm saying, like, especially
with the World Cup, go to an English pub, go
to the German restaurant, go to a place where you're
gonna find ex pats of these countries, and just the
the fervor that they get into right is electrifying and
(08:50):
it's it'll it'll catch on to you, I promise.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
So as World Cup starts, though, do you think the
interests uh as far as America? And it's gonna be
on TV a lot, They'll be reporting it a lot.
There's gonna be some drama that's gonna come up. I'm
sure sure something's going to happen. You think it will
increase the the attention and more Americans will be into it.
And once we get into the month.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
If if the Team USA is able to win this opener, yeah,
and convincing and convincingly fashion. I think that'll go a
long long way. The drama that they're having right now
is not the drama that they want as far as
the World Cup goes. The way that the teams are
being treated. Different teams are being treated different ways as
they come into the country, and if everyone's catching it
(09:33):
on camera, that's not what That's not the kind of
pop that they want. What do you mean which country?
Certain teams are able to come into the United States
of America and not get screened, not get checked, not
be held on the tarmac of an airport, and have
all their bags open and go through. Other teams are
able to walk right in.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Uh we have.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
We've already sent back a ref, a Somalian ref who
had his passport, had all his credentials heat he's going
to be ref in one of the matches. He got
turned away by h United States. So that kind of
negative kind of thing is also hanging over the balance
of this World.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Cup, which which team was checked like you're saying the
bags were checked ya.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Also, also it's a weird one because we're having Iran
come but they were forced to land in Mexico.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yeah, they took all of Iran's tickets away, for the
for their followers, for their teams.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
They were supposed to play in America and they diverted
to Mexico. Yeah, and they're making well Iran, I mean,
like Iran, we aren't war with them.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, and so they're making them fly. They made them
fly into Mexico. Even though Iran all three of their
games are played in the United States, they have to
fly in, play the game fly out, fly in, play
the game fly Out.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Why because of their families.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
And trainers and stuff aren't allowed into the country, just
players and the coaches.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, so it's a it's a banking. And then you know,
on top of that, you got.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Yeah, Senegal, you Bekistan, Iraq, Iran, We're all teams that
were held on the tarmac and Somalia as well. Yeah,
held on the tarmac and checked. Uh that way, while
there was other teams that were able just to walk
right in.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Is every country? Does every country have a team that
plays in the World Cup? No? No, Like Denmark didn't qualify. Okay,
so they didn't qualify, But like every every country has
a team, they just may or may not have qualified.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
I don't know if every country has a team. I
think most countries do, but I don't think every country does.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Like, does Jamaica have a team in the world Jamaica
is not. They're not. Okay, so there are some country but.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Like yeah, I mean like if you're talking Caribbean teams,
they're they're part of conkan F and then like you'll
have like Haiti, Panama, curisus in there in from that group.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Yeah, but yeah, Cuba. Does Cuba have a team? Cuba
does not. They do not.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
There's forty eight countries out of out of roughly two
hundred countries in the world that are in the World
Cup right now.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Okay, it's a good time. Now.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
I went to a World Cup fine game down to
Miami a couple of times. There's always a good time. Yeah,
the stadium's bouncing, people are having a good time. Everybody's
got their flags. It's a good time. You should try.
I recommend it.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
I recommend it. I say we do a lot.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Well again, I wish these games were eight am, you know,
like and we could do live broadcasts from like one
of these taverns or pubs where they're like they're having
the game going.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
You just want to get an excuse to get your own, Yeah, buddy,
that's what most of the field trip days.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
On rus would have been awesome. But they didn't qualify.
So the Republic of Ireland does have a men's national team,
but they did not qualify for the twenty twenty six
feet old World Cup. But like what they're talking about,
so the sense of nationalism, the sense of of that
that that vibe, that energy right, uh, you know, for
the next World Cup if Ireland qualifies, I think you
would have a great time going to an Irish pub
(12:50):
watching uh, you know with the ex pats, Like Ryan
was saying.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
This is as close as we get to go into
war like how they did back in the day, where
like you could like and you get to really love
your country, you solve your beef, you get to yell
these really specific insults, especially if you're from like Eastern
European countries. But like, I really like what the Norwegian
team did. Did you see the photo shoot the Norwegian
soccer team did. They all dressed in traditional Viking gear
(13:17):
and did like photo shoots. Yeah, and then like in
front of a fjord. So you get this version of
like what I like to call safe nationalism.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
So let's let me squi. So let's say let's say
Lionel Messi becomes an American citizen. Uh, can he play
for the American team? You could choose who you play.
He's still could never would Yeah, but that that would
never happen. Argentina would literally burn itself down. So our team,
our team America. Uh, it's all people like Idaho United
(13:49):
States citizens. Okay.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
So my my cousin, she's half Greek, and so she
got the opportunity to play for either Team USA or
the Greek soccer team, and she went and she went
to the Greek soccer team.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Because the USA team is not known for doing well.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
I think the opportunity was better. It's differ at the time,
but the.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Best players don't choose to play for Team USA.
Speaker 5 (14:12):
And we source a lot of our players from other countries.
And that's that's part of the problem is when people
watch MLS, a lot of the good players are not
from here, right, And and I think we've we've historically
had a recruiting problem too, because there is you know,
American football and other sports where people You don't think that's.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
The case, No, I don't. I just don't think we
we we don't have the system in place.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
We don't have kids going to like a like the
Arsenal's Elementary school.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
We've just like, let's say, in the last decade started
doing that. But like soccer has improved a lot.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Like, if you go to the Dominican Republican you're a
kid and a young man raised the Dominican Republic, and
you show some aptitude for baseball at at at eight
nine years old, they take regular they take you out
of regular school, and now you're in the baseball academy.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Right, I and the rest of the warre cousins are
their names. Friendly Ray Tajiki.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
No.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
If you need to get hold of Friendly Ray Trentle,
you can. It's one quarterlife dot com. That's one firm
Forlife dot com. Ray. Good saying you buddy, and thank
you so much for coming out on Friday.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
And I really appreciate you guys having me as a
good time.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
All right, don't go anywhere. You're listening to the match
of the morning.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Hey, I is power deed is leading to the environmental
collapse of the planet.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
We don't know. Wave breakfast for everybody that shows up,
there's there'll be food. They'll be drink, there'll be uh music.
We gotta worry to stomp some grapes. Grapes stomping to
make wine. It's gonna be a great time. So join
us next week Crimson House. Thank you of Linda Bird
for inviting us out once again. I think this is
our fifth year out there, fourth or fifth, I can't
(15:46):
remember which. He and by the way, you guys we're
all doing the lunch afterwards. Yeah, let us set that
up again. So thank you Linda Birg appreciate that. Welcome back.
I'm Russ with Angel and Ryan here today. Did you
guys two stories? And of course, you know me, I
got to combine them together and I got to turn
it into a contest, which is what I do as
part of my That's what I do. So one is
a guy in Panama City. He, you know, is hot
(16:08):
outside side. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna swimm I'm gonna
jump into the water in Panama City. Why not this
beautiful area that's a I think I believe it was
some sort of a restricted area, but uh, what the hell,
I'm gonna jump in the water. And is attacked by
a shark and it's a shark attack, and it looked
like something from Jaws. In Jaws where the guy is
getting attacked with everyone's swimming and you see the blood
(16:30):
in the water and the whole thing. Did you guys
see that video yet? It's from last night, from yesterday.
Guy gets attacked in Panama City. Shark attack and it's
going at him, I mean and in blood everywhere it is.
Did you find it? Ryan?
Speaker 4 (16:45):
I did just a warning to our YouTube viewers. I
am about to play a shark attack video.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah. Uh it's uh and it was on the news.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
And this guy's yelling help help, I mean it's going
at him.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Oh, there's that shark attack now the one I saw,
I could see the red blood more. Maybe that's just
with that video, but on the news this morning you
could really see the red blood. I guess it has
been forty five shark attacks of that area. It's near
a naval training side. Do you really Yeah, look at
those sharks already there. That guy decided to go swimming
there had no idea. So that's one story of an attack.
(17:23):
The other story, well, yeah, you can try, and how
I want to tie this in. There's another story of
a man attacked and he was fleeing from police because
I guess the drinking and driving or whatever. So he
jumps out of his car and Louisiana jumps out of
his car, jumps into a river and tries to swim
away from the from the police, and guess what catches them?
(17:44):
And you can see he's swimming, and all of a
sudden you see an alligator coming and that alligator is
hauling asset and bam hits him and attacks that guy.
Sort of same scene as this. Here's my question, which
would you rather? You gotta one of the other? You
can't say I don't want one or the other. Would
you rather try to fight off a shark like that
(18:06):
first dude in Panama City or try to fight off
an alligator like this guy in Louisiana? Between the two,
and we've been around gators, obviously we're at Gatorland a
couple of weeks ago. Angel you gotta fight off one?
Which would it?
Speaker 3 (18:20):
We're saying both that the gator and the shark are
the same size. Gator and shark are the same size.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
So what size are we saying they are? I believe
that shark was about ten foot. A ten foot shark,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
And this is again now both of them live, both
these guys, So for some reason, I feel like, yes
I could, I could punch a shark right in the face, okay,
And I feel like my I could defend myself a
little bit better with a shark. For a shark, whereas
with a gator it would be I feel even if
(18:55):
I like, even if I did the three stooges and
like try to poke them in the eyes and then
go after the nose, I don't think he's gonna let
release me.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I feel like I could fight no point of reason, logic.
I feel like I could fight a gator better than
I could fight a shark. I feel like a shark
is all muscle. You can't grab anything. It's all just
teeth and muscle. But you're not more afraid of a shark.
I'm afraid of them equally, But I feel like I could.
(19:26):
I'm not trying to grab the shark. I'm trying to
get the shark off me. I feel like I keep
them at distance. Right, how about you? You gotta fight one?
And like I said, both these guys lived, right that
the guy that got attacked by the gator, he lived
the guy that got attacked by shark lift. What they
both had is a lot of damage to both of
their arms. Right, you know they were able to But
you gotta fight one, Ryan, which one you're taking. You're
(19:47):
taking the shark, you're taking the gator.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
I mean it depends on the shark because like alligators, alligators, right,
because there's this.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Was a bull shark that they're calling him black black
tip sharks. If I'm going, oh, black tip shark, you
know what a black tip shark. I don't know the difference.
I thought it was a bull shark. But so it's
not Huh. It's hard because I do believe I could
wrap myself around a gator's mouth. Gator can't open mouth,
That's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Then a shark comes at you, they wiggle and then
their teeth are like saw blades, so they're they're sitting
there just going across you, tearing you up.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Heater bites you, though, he says, that's just reaction, so
you don't have time.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
I feel like I can avoid a gator bite. I
do not confidently think I could avoid a shark bite.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I saw I saw Tarzan get behind a gat and
choke it out. So if so fact though, I think
I could pull a Tarzan on him. Yeah, but a shark.
I don't think it's possible to tight off a shark.
My mom got bit by a shark.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
It was a small shark when we're scuba diving one time,
and I was shocked how fast this shark could move.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
That's another thing they are. They're all muscled, they're so fast.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
It did three laps around her, four biting her in
the span of three seconds.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
And those dopey gators we saw at a gator Land
are so slow. Right, we can't use those as comparisons.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Man.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
See, I'm sitting there whatever.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Do you know you were concerned about the new gators
that came to the to the to the to the marsh.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
The little fast ones.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
There's a reason, though, we do gator wrestling and we
don't do shark wrestling.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Thank you. There you go. Yeah, when you say we,
who's we? We the collective? We human wrestling? You can
you can drab agate. I've seen that dude who goes
no no gear, no nothing, and he'll go under a
gator and like make it lift. He'll lift it up
with his hands and the stupid gator put his head
all the way up above the water. You can't do
that with a show. See SEAWORLL doesn't have shark wrestling,
(21:46):
it won't happen.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
You dig dongs think that because we've hung out on
a gator Land, that you think that you can manage
yourself around a gator in the wild.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
If I have a choice and there's one pool, I
have to swim in another pool, and this pool's got
a ten foot gator, this one's got a ten foot shark.
You to pick one. I'm going gator.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
And you're going Both of you guys are picking gaters
because of the us being the proximity that we've had.
But with the gaters at Gatorland, and that's giving you
a slow they're fat, Yeah, a false sense of security.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
But a shark is just muscle and teeth and and all,
just like what is a gator? Muscle and teeth.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, but like a gate, you could, like you could
grab a gator like gater skin, it's hard to stick,
but like you could grab it. Sharks are like, you
don't really they're.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Kind of like sand papery too, So even if you're
trying to grab onto it, their skins.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Discounting though, is in both In both cases, the thing
that we're discounting you're the way that you guys are
talking to me right now is that you're making the
conscious effort of, oh, I'm about to jump in this
thing and get into it with a gat And both
these situations, they were both surprise attacks.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Guy says here makes a good point. Shark, if you
get in with the shark and you put them up
and like let you put them up like on your shoulders,
and you get him out of the water, he can't breathe.
So if you can get under the shark and get
him out of the water, then he could suffocate.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Not even that.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
All you gotta do is roll a shark over and
he'll fall asleep. Now that's a gator, that's a gator.
Sharks if you flip him over, the fall asleep. I've
never heard that before. Everyone knows that. I don't know
how you not doing it. I think it's difficult to
get a roll over. No, you just ticked him under
the fin I never never done that, but I think
I think a gator, though, you can turn him over
and his brain falls out of his Sarah bellum or whatever,
(23:32):
and he's out. I believe that's what I saw. That's
what Tarzan did.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
I think he's crazy to even like the shark is
it wins all day The sharks are super aggressive. They're
coming at you just to kill count alone.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
Gators on the US have only killed between forty and
fifty people since the nineteen hundreds.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Okay, how many have sharks killed over one and fifty? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:58):
Sharks are Yeah, sharks are tough. You may roll over
a many species of sharks completely upside down. They enter
a natural trance like state of paralysis called tonic immobility.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
It's like they're I have that I a drink too much.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
It's like they're off switch pause or their posemud causing
their muscles to relax. They're breathing to slow down, and
their sensory systems to become temporarily inactive. Okay, I'm going
up against the shark all day long. You're with a shark,
how do you get him to flip over? What do
you what are you going as.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
He's coming to me? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Right, jab jab right in the nose, and he's going
to be stunned.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Then I grabbed his flippers and turn them over. Hm,
that ain't happening. They're too wiggly. They can't do so
our gators, Like, what are you guys doing here? I
don't understand. I'm thinking about the gators at gator Land exactly.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
And then gators like I have the secondary option of
like maybe I could at least make it to land. Yeah,
you know, I don't swim at gator. You can't out
swim a shark. No, I don't think you gator.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Okay, g okay, Now let's take us humans out of it.
Let's let's take we got these two pools. We're gonna
put the gator in with the shark. Who wins in
a fight? Gator? Gator beats a shark?
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Yeah no, because you could get a shark won't be
able to rip through that gator skin.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Incorrect. They've got more bite peras have more bites per
square inch. Look it up, bite per square inch. Get
a great white shark versus.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
Well, we're talking great white, we're talking about brown tips.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Bullshit, you've making a black ten black black bull shark.
He heard it himself that time. I like that. Yeah, No,
a gator.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
A bull shark has thirteen hundred pounds of per square
inch with sharper teeth, with sharper teeth, but a gator
has has two thousand to twenty five hundred.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Okay, yeah, he locks on you, he's not unlocking. He
gonna grab you and put you in a death roll
a gate.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
A shark can't put a gater in its mouth, but
a gator could put a shark in its mouth.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
And a shark doesn't have a death roll. No, you're right,
And then and then with yeah, if the gator starts
the death roll and turn it upside down, he's gonna
pass out. I don't think that.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Don't again, I don't think that's Geeter said that that
do that rush the chest?
Speaker 1 (26:13):
And what's Tuttle doing? What? What's subtle? You can get
him to check this out, you know, sadly, if we
if I challenge Tuttle to the water with the gat,
he'd probably do it, and that'd be on me. Anyway.
Both these stories they were back to back this morning.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
You know.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
One there's like this guy's getting attacked by gator, like
this guy's gett attacked by shark. Uh And they were horrific,
absolutely horrific. I don't suggest anybody try it at all.
Don't get attacked.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Ever, so the AI according to AI, you know, gotta
do that now, just a quick I overview. Great, if
it's a great white shark against the gator above the
about the same size, it's a great white shark all day.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
What about a black tip shark?
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Uh, black finn, black fan, blackgator versus black tip shark.
An American alligator would almost always win against a black
tip shot. Okay, black swift are their swift, agile predators.
They lack the sheer mass, crushing bite force, and heavy
armor of a full grown alligator.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
So so the great white shark is the king of
the predators right, Like nothing, not much beats a great
white shark.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah, the pure power behind it. They call it white power,
and it's really white power. It's hard to be it's
been keeping.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
What about a great white shark against a black tip shark?
Who's winning there? Neighborhood here? Yeah, we've solved all problems. Now,
don't go anywhere. You're listening to the match of the morning.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Now that you can have people over again.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, that's my next going off of what my wife
said the other day, like, why do you put yourself
to all this?
Speaker 5 (28:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
I just like doing it. But my next thing I
gotta work on now is the Ryan Ryan Fesston working
there breaking the world record in January. I have another
meetium plan this week, trying to get all that nailed down.
I just heard from one of the Ryans, the Ryan
from Minnesota. They want to know where we're at, so
(28:31):
they were having an unofficial one sometime this week. Kind
of think, yes, I know they're doing another one. They
have these Ryan get togethers, and the one in Minnesota
is going to be at the baseball game. I think
they're doing a Baseball Ryan to get together. That's the
same people that we're gonna be working with in January.
We're gonna they're not trying to break the world record
at the baseball game. They're just getting a bunch of
(28:51):
Ryans together. Our goals are trying to break the world
record in January, and I gotta nail down the place
to do it, which I think we have one. I
saw the sales rep the other day and she's gonna,
you know, I got it. The thing is, I got
to keep shaking the trees and getting them to do
it because there's a lot of work involved and and
(29:16):
so I got one sales rep that's working on it
for me, and then I got to find the hotel
place for all the Ryans. To say, for those who
don't know what we're talking about, it's trying to break
the world record to have the most Ryans in one area,
because the Ivans have the world record in Russia somewhere,
and so these this group of Ryans have been trying
to you know, they've been doing these get togethers like
(29:38):
and it probably will make the news if they're going
to be at the Minnesota thing, but they won't break
the world record there. Our goal is going to be
to break the world record to get as many Ryans
in one area as possible, and we have some ideas
to make it happen, and we just have to get
the people in from the get US Book of World Records. Hey,
did you talk to your guy about about possibly trying
to break the pull up world record on the same
(30:02):
day that we do the Ryan world record. I have
not seen him because I haven't been in the gym
in a minute. I already had that thing thing, the
whole thing. But yeah, I see him, I'll talk to him.
Haven't talked to him. Yeah, okay, all right, Well it's
gonna have to legally change his name to Ryan for
a week. That's my next thing to work on, I guess.
But uh, there's always you gotta be something. What do
(30:25):
you guys? Do you guys do this a lot? Will
Pretend like we're left handed, like we're in the first No, uh,
this is like whipping out. Pretend like we're in the first.
We're just talking amongst ourselves a little bit. Do you
ever like accidentally hurt your girls feelings like you didn't
mean to, but you did it? Never? No, yeah, once
you never. Yeah. One time I went to a yoga class.
(30:49):
She found out that so, okay, so didn't mean to.
I didn't. I've been told I care too much, so
too much passion. There were passion, here's passion. So Mary
Ellen made cabbage rolls yesterday. Oh those are delicious. I
love cabbage rolls, Okay, for the most I love most
(31:11):
of them. I love most of it.
Speaker 5 (31:13):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
So she made she made cabbage. So she made the
cabbage rolls, and I was eating like the meat out
of the middle, and then uh and and I'm like,
oh I'm still hungry. So I would go back in
the kitchen and I'd throw the cabbage in the garbage
and then I would I would go get it. Are
you doing? And I go get another one? And and
(31:36):
I saw and I saw she was acting different, and
I'm like, what's wrong there? Uh? And then she got
a little quiet on me and and uh. And usually
she hangs out with me. We're watching the news, and
she wasn't in there. What And it''s like, I guess
it hurt her feelings. I was still in the cabin.
I said, well, I don't really like cabbage that much
and said, well, what's a vegetable? You should try it?
And I'm like I'm like, well yeah, I'm like, well,
(31:58):
I'm so sorry, and like I hate three of them.
And she goes, yeah, you ate the meat out of
three cabbage rolls. And I went to all the trouble
to make the cabbage rolls and I'm like, I am
so sorry. Like I didn't even know oreos and just
eating the white and putting back the blasts, like going.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
To a steak place and just having them put ketchup
on your steak.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
I was told it was like eating all the good
stuff off the pizza or whatever. Yeah, I didn't look
at it that way. I just didn't want to like
cabbage that much.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
But I but, ah, man, that lady like bust her hump,
making a food for you from scratch.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
You eat it how it's prepared, sir. That's the way
she viewed it. Again, I concur even know how to
bring this up to you too. I knew you were
gonna have my back on this. Hold on Ryan, right right?
Ryan selfish? Hey right? What do you think?
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Is it okay if you just want to eat, if
you just want to eat the middle out of the
cabbage roll, if you're not a big cabbage fan. I
didn't mean it personal to her. I love her very much.
I would never want to hurt her feeling her cabbage.
I didn't want to eat her cab You eat that cabbage,
you don't. You eat that whole thing. You don't just
eat the middle of it. Eat that old cabbage with
the meat in the middle is the good part, and
(33:08):
the cabbaging. It's like you're eating a twinkie, but all
you do is suck the cream. Yeah, you're eating the
salad and you're just like I eat all the cheese.
The hell's wrong. It's eating the salad and all you
do is eat the croutons. Yeah, dude, that's not well.
I apologize, I said, if arguing, I said, you know what,
(33:30):
I am sorry. I didn't think of that.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Some flowers or something whatever, whatever the thing is that
this is huge, dude.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
She's an artist. She's an artist with her creative passion,
her love. I didn't realize how much trouble it is
to make cabbage rolls. I didn't realize how much, you know,
it goes into it. And so she went in completely dismissive. Man,
I want meat, no cabbage. She like, you threw all
(33:57):
the cabbage away. You didn't even ask me if I
wanted it. And I'm like, well, I I didn't think
you would care. I just thought the cabbage was the rapper. Yeah.
And then she just this organic rappers now around our meat.
That's crazy. She's like, this is why Ryan gets mad
at you. I'm like, what, but it's that kind of doing.
(34:18):
What the hell was I gonna do?
Speaker 2 (34:19):
What?
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Everything we're talking about that makes sense, I get it.
I do not. It does not make sense. And then
she went in to make you more pickles. She's like,
Ryan doesn't complain about my pickles. No, I don't. I
eat them up because they're delicious, handmade with love. There's
more coming she's got. She can't stop the cucumbers from coming.
And she's like, prising on your part, No, we all
(34:40):
have that problem. She can't stop the how do I
say this? The cucumbers just growing, keep growing, and uh,
She's like, all I'm doing now is just I got
a garden full of pickles for Ryan. That's what happens.
People aren't pickle enthusiasts. People become slave to the cucumber.
Oh no, everybody's jumping on me, all of Russ only
eating the meat. That's terrible. Yeah, dude, that's like, what
(35:01):
are you a baby? Eat the cabbage? I was eating
the meat out of the middle because that was the
best part. That's a psycho thing to do. I don't
love the cat you're throwing away. The guys like cabbage
or yes, yes, we people eat vegetables, Russ. I know
that's weird for you. I just go ahead gep it
in a black cow next time. I love them. I
hate what I hate. This happens to me all the time.
(35:22):
I make people mad. I don't even know why I
made a mad I don't want to make her mad.
I love her.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
I can't understand why she she would be in her feeling. Really,
I just part rush rawlins this woman. That's a good part,
the better part of a day yesterday, making something for
you out of the love of her heart with.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Her own hands.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
When you say that, you completely dismiss him. No, the
part that you're like, no, I don't understand why she's
upset with me. Eat your wife's cabbage.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
You get your face in there, and you eat your
wife's cabbage, sir, you get it all over your face.
Do you eat cabbage? Cabbage was good? Yeah, cabbine the
meat in the middle of the brown one. There's no
(36:08):
brown cabbage. Like, well, I apologize and I'm sorry, and
I didn't. I don't want to. I don't want to
hurt her feelings. I'm buying. I buy her stuff, the.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
One that didn't eat the cab Now my wife retired
and now she makes cabbage, terrible cabbage rolls.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
We had cabbage rolls and I said, I hate three
of them. They were great, honey, and yeah, but you
threw all the cabbage away. I'm like, well, that wasn't
my favorite part of the cabbage roll. It was the role.
I just want roll, makes me roll meat rollant. I
like the meat roll. It was good. It's just like
eating all the meat out of the impanada. Yeah. Yeah.
The example I heard is like you ate all the
(36:52):
pepperonis and cheese off the top of the pizza and
to the rest of way. And now I know why
Ryan gets mad at you. Shut up, eat a damn vegetable.
It won't kill you. Crown. Well, I'll go home and
because there's leftovers and I'll eat cabbage. Don't do it
beat grudgingly, I smile. When I need the cabbage roll,
I'll do it.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
It was that you have his Russ is gonna be
sitting there pouting at the kitchen, counting on.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Because that's what the guy said said. I couldn't go
to bed with to get desserted till I eat the
cabbage part. I just hate that I hurt her feelings,
like I you know, obviously I love her. She's sweet
and she was doing a kind thing. I didn't mean
to hurt her feelings. I just wanted to eat the meat.
Thank you Angel for grabbing that. Yeah, I'm gonna make
(37:40):
that the sound when Russ texts me. All right, Well,
I'm sorry, Marianne. I didn't mean to hurt your feeling. Sorry,
what are you gonna do about it? I'm taking there's
some wine thing this weekend that she wants to go to.
I'll take no wine about how I don't eat the cabbage. Yeah,
there's some wine thing going on this weekend in Bartow.
Where's Barto Barto Barto? Florida Wine and sip stroll in Bartow.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
I feel like a place named Bartow would be your
favorite place to go for vacation.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Take a little break when we come back. It's for
the King of Denmark Riot Homes to make his daily proclamation.
You're listening to the mantra of the morning
